“I was trying to keep calm about it… basal cell carcinoma is just something you have to deal with. It’s cancerous. It will grow. You just have to get it out.
“I go every three months for checkups. It’s the new normal for me. My doctor says I’ll likely have more and if that’s your cross to bear in life, you should be so lucky.”
And he has praised his fellow Australian star Nicole Kidman for encouraging paler people to embrace and take care of their complexions.
He said: “I’m heartened to see the idea that to be sexy and beautiful you have to be tan is gone. People like Nicole Kidman have done a great job. She was made fun of when she was a kid in Australia because she stayed in the shade. No one is making fun of her now.”

Ed Sheeran turned away from Grammys bash?

OHMYGOSSIP — Ed Sheeran was reportedly turned away from a Grammys after-party.
Although the ‘Shape of You’ hitmaker performed at the Grammy Awards over the weekend, TMZ reports that he tried to get into a bash at Milk Studios in Los Angeles after the ceremony but could not get past security.
Ed was not the only star who was reportedly turned away from the exclusive bash, as Oscar winner Adrien Brody and DJ Pete Tong are also believed to have been left outside.
Meanwhile, Ed recently admitted he didn’t miss singing during his one-year hiatus.
The 25-year-old star announced he was taking a break from music in December 2015, and while he had “withdrawal symptoms” during his 12 months off, he wasn’t too upset about not being on stage performing.
He said: “I found myself going to concerts and having withdrawal symptoms from it, but I didn’t really miss it that much.”
And the ‘A Team’ hitmaker – who made his big comeback last month with the release of two singles ‘Castle On The Hill’ and ‘Shape Of You’ from his album ‘÷’ – explained he made the decision to temporarily leave the music scene because he felt he wasn’t getting the reaction from his audiences he yearned for anymore.
He explained: “I just felt like everything I did, I got a very lukewarm reaction by the end of it.
“I was like here’s a new song. And people were like, ‘Ah, great’.
“But you disappear for a year and then people are kind of hungry for it again.”

Tom Cruise's mother dead at 80

OHMYGOSSIP — Tom Cruise’s mother has died.
Mary Lee South died “peacefully in her sleep” last week at the age of 80, and was remembered at a memorial service at her local Church of Scientology over the weekend, PEOPLE reports.
Tom, 54, and his sisters Lee Ann DeVette, 57, Cass Mapother, 55, and Marian Henry, 52, all attended the ceremony, along with a number of close friends and family members.
Mary split from Tom’s father, Thomas Cruise Mapother III, in 1974 and went on to marry John ‘Jack’ South in 1978, when Tom was 16.
Both Mary and her husband were supportive of Tom’s dreams to become an actor, with Mary previously explaining how he told them of his ambitions after he starred in a high-school production of ‘Guys and Dolls’.
She said: “After the show, Tom came home and said he wanted to have a talk with my husband and me.
“He asked for 10 years to give showbusiness a try. Meanwhile, my husband’s thinking, ‘What’s this gonna cost me? 10 years of what?’
“Tom said, ‘I really feel that this is what I want to do.’
“And we both wholeheartedly agreed, because we both felt it was a God-given talent, and he should explore it because he was so enthused about it.
“So to make a long story short, we gave him our blessing and the rest is history.”
Mary and John divorced in 2012 and he passed away in 2015 after a battle with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
Meanwhile, Tom enjoyed a close relationship with his mother, with a source previously explaining: “Tom is extremely close with Mary, she’s been the rock in his life for as long as he can remember.”
Last year Mary moved from Los Angeles to Clearwater, Florida, near the worldwide headquarters for Scientology.
A source said: “Mary decided to live in a quiet area 20 minutes drive away from the hub where most people walk the streets wearing Scientology colors.
“It can be intense at the church and nobody bothers her now. She’s got herself a peaceful retreat with lake views where she is cared for by a nurse.
“It must remind her of time living in Marco Island [Florida] with South, who passed away last year.”

Lulu jokes her James Bond theme is 'as bad' as Madonna's

OHMYGOSSIP — Lulu has joked that her James Bond theme song is just “as bad” as Madonna’s effort.
The 68-year-old ‘Shout’ hitmaker is a member of an exclusive club of artists, which includes Sam Smith, Adele, Dame Shirley Bassey, Sir Tom Jones, Duran Duran, Sir Paul McCartney and more, who have been picked to record the title track for a 007 movie.
To celebrate the third edition of Vauxhall’s ‘Great British Legends’ series, Lulu drove a Vauxhall Astra around the suburbs of her hometown of Glasgow in Scotland.
During the drive she was asked about the song ‘The Man with the Golden Gun’ – written by Don Black and John Barry – that she recorded for the 1974 film of the same name starring Sir Roger Moore as Bond and the late Sir Christopher Lee as main villain Francisco Scaramanga.
She admitted it was a good experience but declared: “I think that mine was probably the worst one ever! Mine was not a great song.”
When asked if she had heard Madonna’s 2002 Bond tune ‘Die Another Day’, she joked: “Oh yes, hers was pretty bad. Probably Madonna and I – that’s probably the only time Madonna and I could be together on anything.”
Lulu also recalled how her involvement in the spy franchise came about.
She said: “They asked me, I don’t say, ‘How did you ask me? Why did you ask me? I just thought, ‘Oh that’s dead cool.’ Shall I tell you why it was cool, because John Barry wrote the music but I always had a little crush on John Barry so I was thrilled to be working with him.”
In the interview Lulu also revealed how she ended up re-recording David Bowie’s 1969 track ‘The Man Who Sold the World’.
Speaking about her hit 1976 collaboration with the late rock legend, she explained: “It was Bowie’s idea to do that song. I think I first met him in a studio with Iggy pop and Iggy Pop gave me a filthy look – he just did not want me around. But the meeting sticks out in my mind.”
Lulu explained that he came to see her in Sheffield where she was on tour and invited her to a concert. But it was at the after-party where he declared his love of her voice.
She recalled: “During the night he said to me, I think very early on he said, ‘I love your voice,’ and I was like, ‘Oh my God!’ and he said, ‘I wanna make a mother f**king hit with you’ and I thought, ‘Yeah right, we’ll see.’ I was very impressed. I was very flattered. That’s how it happened.”
The following day Bowie called to invite her to his Hyde Park hotel where he played his version of ‘The Man Who Sold the World’.
Vauxhall’s ‘Great British Legends’ series is available as four episodes online at www.vauxhall.co.uk/greatbritishlegends.

Nick Cannon quits America's Got Talent

OHMYGOSSIP — Nick Cannon’s “soul won’t allow” him to continue hosting ‘America’s Got Talent’.
The 36-year-old television personality has decided to quit the show after finding out executives had “threatened him with termination” for a joke he made on a comedy special, which they claimed could have damaged their brand.
In a lengthy post on Facebook, he wrote: “I write this from a deeply saddened and dolorous mindset. After days of deliberating over some extremely disappointing news that I was being threatened with termination by Executives because of a comedy special that was only intended to bring communities closer together, I was to be punished for a joke.
“This has weighed heavy on my spirit. It was brought to my attention by my “team” that NBC believed that I was in breach of contract because I had disparaged their brand. In my defense, I would ask how so? …
“I find myself in a dark place having to make a decision that I wish I didn’t have to, but as a man, an artist, and a voice for my community I will not be silenced, controlled or treated like a piece of property. There is no amount of money worth my dignity or my integrity.”
And the 36-year-old star – who has five-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe with his ex-wife Mariah Carey – went on to praise the “talented and brave” contestants he has had a chance to meet throughout his eight-year stint on the show.
He added: “I have loved hosting AMERICAS GOT TALENT for the last 8 seasons, watching talented, brave, and courageous Americans accomplish their dreams in front of millions has been nothing but a joy, and everyone has been a pleasure to work with but my soul won’t allow me to be in business with corporations that attempt to frown on freedom of speech, censor artists, and question cultural choices …
“My moral principles will easily walk away from the millions of dollars they hang over my head. It’s never been about the money for me, what is difficult to walk away from is the fans, the people who love me on the show. This hurts tremendously. I felt like I was apart of the fabric of our great nation every summer, representing every culture, age, gender, and demographic. (sic)”

The ‘Before He Cheats’ hitmaker has revealed she will taking a step back from the music industry for a little to focus on her family – her husband Mike Fisher and their 23-month-old son Isaiah.

“I’m nervous because I want whatever I do next to be amazing, so I’m kind of taking a little break right now and being a mom and being a wife and going to see some hockey games to see my husband play. I’m kind of waiting for lightning to strike and go, ‘Okay, it’s time to get creative and work on new music!'”
Meanwhile, Carrie recently opened up about how “difficult” it is to juggle her career with motherhood.
She said: “I’m not going to lie, it’s difficult when professionalism and your mommyhood collide – which is on a daily basis – but it’s wonderful. It’s like bring your baby to work every day.
“He’s just there, and it’s great he’s on the bus and helping me get ready. It might make things take a little longer, but he’s just my little sunshine. He makes me happy all day. [But] I’ve blocked off some time to be able to take him trick-or-treating a little bit and got him a costume and everything.”
And Carrie feels “guilty” that her son’s life has to revolve around her job.
She explained: “Sometimes I feel guilty that this is my son’s life: We live on a bus and we’re in a hotel room and sometimes we’re in the middle of nowhere and it’s not so great. It’s not all glamorous.”

Camila Cabello expected frosty reception after 5H split

OHMYGOSSIP — Camila Cabello “didn’t expect” a lot of love following her departure from Fifth Harmony.
The ‘Bad Things’ hitmaker made the decision to quit the girl group in December and was “so emotional” about the outpouring of love she received.
She said: “I’ve been trying to stay away from social media for almost two years now. There has always been negative stuff on there. Even if you read 100 messages of love, the hurtful one is what you remember.
“But I did see a lot of love and support from my fans. Honestly, I didn’t expect it. I was so emotional at that point, that when I saw some really encouraging things people were saying, I burst into an ugly cry.”
And the 19-year-old singer is looking forward to be “brave and opening up her soul” with her future music releases.
Explaining her decision to leave the band, she added: “Fifth Harmony wasn’t the maximum expression of me individually. My fans are really going to know me from the music I’m writing. My goal is to be brave and open up my soul.”
And Camila says music has helped her overcome her shyness and admits she has “gone through a lot of self-discovery” in the last few years.
Speaking to the March/April issue of Seventeen magazine, she said: “I didn’t really get to do the teenager thing. I was shy back in high school: I would go to school, come home, and watch YouTube videos. Being in music has pushed me to overcome that.
“I have gone through a lot of self-discovery in the past few years, figuring out who I am and being comfortable with just being me. I’ve attracted a lot of great people into my life that way, just by being myself. Now I want to go out there, meet people, learn about them, and make friends.”

Danielle Lloyd thought pregnancy was sickness bug

OHMYGOSSIP — Danielle Lloyd has confirmed her pregnancy – and has admitted she initially thought she was suffering with a stomach bug.
The 33-year-old former glamour model thought she had been struck down with a sickness virus over the festive season last year because her sons Archie, six, Harry, five, and George, three, whom she has with her ex-husband Jamie O’Hara, had picked up the illness from school but was thrilled when she found out her uneasy stomach was down to the fact and her fiancé Michael O’Neill are expecting their first child together.
In an interview with the new issue of OK! magazine, she explained: “I’d been falling ill over Christmas but didn’t think much of it as the boys had had stomach bugs. Then my period was late so I decided to take a test and it was positive. Me and Michael are over the moon; I’m due towards the end of summer.”
Although it only took the couple two months to conceive, the brunette beauty has admitted she was starting to feel disheartened because she didn’t get pregnant straight away.
She said: “We stopped using contraception in September last year. We’d been trying for a few months and kept getting really discouraged when the tests were negative. So we decided to stop trying and just enjoy ourselves before Christmas, and bam, I’m pregnant. In January I realised my period was late which was unusual as I’m really regular. Michael told me not to get my hopes up but when I did the test it was positive.”
The pair – who began dating in September 2015 – are planning to find out the sex of their little one once they hit the 16-week mark but are happy with either a boy or girl.
Danielle explained: “We can’t find out [the sex] until 16 weeks. Michael’s convinced it’s a girl but I’m not sure. Initially I thought I’d love a little girl but now I’m pregnant I know that whatever we have, because it’s mine and Michael’s first, it will be special.”
The couple were planning to get married this year after they got engaged 11 months ago but they have decided to push back the wedding until next year because the reality TV star doesn’t want to be a “pregnant bride” when she walks down the aisle.
She said: “I wouldn’t want to be a pregnant bride. Maybe in 2018 and we’ll definitely go abroad to get married, something small and intimate.”
Danielle has celebrated her pregnancy by re-creating the photos Beyoncé posed for to announce she and her husband Jay Z are expecting twins together.

Kirk Douglas admits acting brought him closer to son Michael Douglas

OHMYGOSSIP — Kirk Douglas has revealed he only got close to his son Michael Douglas when he followed in his footsteps and started acting.
The 100-year-old American actor, producer, director and author is a legend of the ‘Golden Age’ of Hollywood and his son Michael, 72, has also enjoyed an acclaimed cinematic career winning a Best Actor Oscar for his performance in ‘Wall Street’.
Kirk admits their mutual passion for acting repaired their relationship which was fractured after Kirk got divorced from Michael’s actress mother Diana in 1951 when he was just seven years old.
In an interview with The Guardian newspaper, Kirk regretfully admitted: “Michael didn’t like me much after his mother and I got divorced. It was only when he started acting that we became close.”
Kirk married Diana in 1943 and they had another son together, American film producer Joel, 70.
Michael got his breakthrough role back in 1969 when he starred on CBS-TV ‘Playhouse’ special ‘The Experiment’ and he went on to star in several little known films before he got his big break in Hollywood in the 1984 romantic adventure comedy ‘Romancing the Stone’ and his career soared from there.
When asked if he ever felt competitive with Michael, Kirk replied: “No! Only proud.”
‘Spartacus’ star Kirk admits he was particularly impressed that ‘Basic Instinct’ actor Michael forged ahead with his own plans and ambitions when he was a young man and ignored all advice from his famous father.
He recalled: “I am so proud of Michael because he never followed my advice. I wanted him to be a doctor or lawyer, and the first time I saw him in a play I told him he was terrible. But then I saw him a second time and I said: ‘You were wonderful!’ And I think he is very good in everything he’s done.”

Rory Feek's tribute to Joey

OHMYGOSSIP — Rory Feek gave an emotional tribute to his late wife Joey as he accepted their Grammy Award on Sunday (12.02.17).
The country singer was overwhelmed when he and his late wife – who died of cancer last March – picked up the Best Roots Gospel Album prize for their record ‘Hymns that Are Important to Us’ and recalled how his spouse had made her promise that he’d come to the awards ceremony if the record received a nomination after her death.
He said: “She sang her vocals in hotel rooms while she did chemo and radiation and it finally came out a year ago, almost exactly.
“And we sat together in the final days and watched this award ceremony last year — and she said, ‘If we get nominated, promise me you will come.’ And I said, ‘I will.’ ”
“And she said, with a big smile on her face, ‘You know, if you win, I’m going to know the answer before you will,’ which is pretty special.”
And Rory already knows where the award will have pride of place in their home as he hopes to inspire their three-year-old daughter Indiana with the statuette when she takes music lessons.
Speaking to reporters at Los Angeles’ Staples Center, he said: “It’ll go on the mantle right above our fireplace.
“For our three year old, we’re going to get a piano in the house so that she can take piano lessons. And it will be right in front of the mantle, so the Grammy’s going to be right there. And then maybe, just maybe one day she’ll come out here [to the Grammys] with me.”
The 51-year-old singer admitted he and his wife never expected ‘Hymns’ to be Joey’s last album when they were recording it.
He said: “She was sick and going through treatment, (but) we completely believed she was going to be OK.
“We didn’t go into recording this album thinking it was her last, it just became her last.”
