OHMYGOSSIP — Damian Lewis’ wife is worried their children will develop American accents.
The English-born actor – who shares 10-year-old Manon and nine-year-old Gulliver with his wife Helen McCrory – adopted the accent for his roles in hit American dramas ‘Homeland’ and ‘Billions’, and admits his wife now “has a horror” that he will transfer the intonation onto their children.
Damian said: “I don’t do it [the accent] in front of them. They once spent a school term in the US and they started copying the accent in this comical, exaggerated way, elongating their vowels. I put a stop to that. My wife has a horror that the children will start talking American if we spend too much time out there.”
And whilst Damien, 46, likes to keep up his accent whilst he’s away from the cameras in order to make sure it’s up to scratch, he admits his friends back home often tease him for it.
He added to Mr Porter magazine: “I once did a US TV interview in my American accent and somehow it was seen by quite a few of my friends back in England.
“There were several irate text messages. ‘You are British! Stop talking like an American!’ It has become second nature to me now and I am happy to do it. That said, if I am with Brits I come out of it pretty quickly.”
Meanwhile, Damian recently admitted that he isn’t motivated by money, and aside from paying for his children’s education, there is little else he finds “terribly important” to splash out on.
He said: “We don’t think money is terribly important in our family. I spend money on my children’s school fees, and I just renovated my house but I don’t own a second home or have a yacht.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Cheryl’s charity is to open a new centre in Newcastle “this summer”.
The 33-year-old singer set up Cheryl’s Trust together with The Prince’s Trust charity in order to help vulnerable young people in the UK, and has revealed a new centre in her hometown will be opened later this year with the hopes of supporting disadvantaged young people in the North East of England.
Posting a message to her fans on Instagram on Thursday (16.02.17), the former Girls Aloud singer said: “I am so happy and excited to tell you that after a 5 year relationship with @PrincesTrust and a 2 year mission along with Cheryl’s Trust we have finally found a centre in the heart of Newcastle that will be opened this summer! Part of me is still pinching myself! I wanted to say a personal thank you to each and every one of you that got involved and donated money and items/your time over the years to help me get this off the ground. Thank you thank you thank you! And for your continued love and support, I am eternally grateful. Here’s to changing lives. I love you (sic)”
The ‘I Don’t Care’ hitmaker – who is expecting a baby with her boyfriend Liam Payne – said later in a statement she was “proud” to call Newcastle her home, but is “too aware” of the problems young people face growing up in the city.
She said: “I’m proud of where I grew up but I’m only too aware of the challenges that young people face. Opportunities often seem pretty limited and I saw so many friends who had loads of potential fall into a life of alcohol, drugs and crime. Too many young people are wasting their lives away because they feel they have no one to turn to.”
The brunette beauty is determined to “give back” to her community and make sure young people get the chance to “live a happy life”.
She added: “My life could have turned out very differently … I know how lucky I am. That’s why I am raising money to open the new Centre in Newcastle. I want to give back and help young people who feel like they’ll never achieve anything reach their dreams and live a happy life.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Kate Upton “inspires girls” to push themselves harder in the gym.
The 24-year-old model was announced as the cover star for Sports Illustrated magazine’s annual Swimsuit edition this year for the third time in her career, and her personal trainer Ben Bruno – who helped her develop her enviable physique – has said her dedication to training serves as an inspiration to other women.
He said: “I’ve personally seen Kate already inspire a lot of girls to [lift] heavier because in their mind they think that they’re going to get big and bulky, but then they see Kate doing it and think, ‘Well, I guess I don’t have to worry about that.'”
And Kate was “very disciplined” when it came to getting in shape for the nearly nude shoot, specifically when it came to strength training.
He added: “A lot of times in the afternoons, we would either go together or she would go with her dog, Harley, hiking just to get outside. Or, for a while when we were really amping up for the shoot, we would do an hour of tennis every day.
“Strength training is your main course and the cardio is your side dish. So, both have their place at the table, but strength training is really the crux of what she did and what I think women should do to change their body.”
Ben didn’t put Kate on a strict diet for the shoot so the blonde beauty was allowed to enjoy “wine and sweets” in “moderation”.
He told E! News: “She made time here and there for treats. It was mostly healthy, but also some fun. Kate likes her wine and sweets. It’s just about moderation.
“We made a pact, a pinky promise that she would do it the healthy way. I’m proud of her hard work, but I think that a lot of times people get really obsessive when they have [big events coming up], but she kept a really good job of living a balanced life.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Rochelle Humes is “paranoid” her daughter will get upset about having to share her parents when she welcomes her second child into the world in the coming weeks.
The 27-year-old television presenter is expecting a baby with husband Marvin Humes but Rochelle is worried the pair’s three-year-old daughter Alaia-Mai will get upset that she doesn’t get all the attention once the new baby arrives.
She said: “Alaia-Mai is so excited about being a big sister and I hope it stays that way. The only thing I’m worried about is her getting upset about having to share her parents, but I’ve been reading up on how to handle it. I’m getting really paranoid.”
The former The Saturdays singer and her husband – who was formerly a member of boy band JLS – are keeping the sex of their baby a surprise, much to the annoyance of Alaia-Mai who is “desperate” for a little sister.
She added: “Our little girl is so desperate to have a sister I warned her, ‘What happens if you have a baby brother?’
“She replied, ‘We’ll just send it back’. I’m trying to tell her it doesn’t work like that.
“Her baby name suggestions have been very interesting. She loves Alice-in-the-Palace for a girl and if it’s a boy she’s not interested.”
Rochelle and Marvin, 31, already have their parenting duties divided too as Marvin’s evening radio presenting job at Capital FM means he’s always on hand to tackle the “night shift”.
She told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “Marvin works evenings and gets home from DJing at 1am so he can do the night shift with the baby. It’s important for dads to bond too.
“As the mum, you spend nine months carrying and bonding with the baby so you have that instant connection. It’s nice for the dad to have their own special time.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Matt Damon has joked that he “doesn’t know” how George Clooney will cope having twins.
The 46-year-old actor – who has three daughters, Isabella, 10, Gia, eight, and Stella, six, with his wife Luciana Barroso, and is also step-father to Luciana’s 17-year-old daughter Alexia – is thrilled the ‘Ocean’s Eleven’ star is expecting twins with his wife Amal, but has joked there’s “no way” he’d be able to cope having two young children at the same time.
Speaking during an appearance on ‘The Ellen Degeneres Show’ on Thursday (16.02.17), he said: “[George] said to me, ‘Well, you have four.’ And I said, ‘Yeah, but not at once!’ We did it one at a time. I don’t know how anybody does twins. Those sleepless nights … and there’s two of them? There’s just no way. But we’ll see.”
Meanwhile, the ‘Great Wall’ star previously admitted he “almost started crying” when his close friend shared the happy news with him when the human rights lawyer was just eight weeks into her pregnancy.
Matt said: “I was working with him last fall and he pulled me aside on set and I mean, I almost started crying. I was so happy for him. And I was like, ‘How far along is she?’ And he goes, ‘Eight weeks.'”
The star then scolded the 55-year-old actor for telling him the news before Amal had entered her second trimester.
He said: “[I said,] ‘Are you out of your mind?! Don’t tell anybody else! Don’t tell anybody else! Don’t you know the 12-week rule?’ Like of course he doesn’t. ‘Just shut up, man.’ And then four weeks later, I’m like, ‘We’re good right?’ [George confirmed] ‘We’re good.'”
Matt thinks George is very lucky to have found Amal, 39, and believes they’ll be great parents.
He added: “So yeah, I’m thrilled for him. She’s amazing. He hit the jackpot. Just on every level. She is a remarkable woman. They’re gonna be great. They’re gonna be awesome parents. Those kids are lucky.”

OHMYGOSSIP — The man who attacked James Arthur during a night out has been jailed.
Christopher John Revell, 31, was captured on CCTV footage when he smashed a glass over the ‘Say You Won’t Let Go’ hitmaker’s head in a “totally unprovoked attack” – which left the star needing five staples to his head wound – during a night out with friends in Redcar, North Yorkshire, in August.
On Wednesday (15.02.17), Christopher pleaded guilty to wounding with intent at Teeside Crown Court, and was sentenced to five-and-a-half years in jail.
The attack came after Christopher claimed the ‘X Factor’ winner, 28, had slept with his ex-girlfriend.
Prosecutor Nick Dry told the court: “James Arthur and his group were walking towards the beer garden when without warning or provocation Mr Revell smashed a glass forcibly on the back of his head.
“As he stumbled forward from the incident the defendant followed up with a punch. He claimed he had attacked [Mr Arthur] because he had slept with an ex-girlfriend some time ago. He said he had lost it and whacked him as hard as he could. He denied using a glass and said he had gone into a rage when Arthur smirked at him.”
The ‘Impossible’ singer says he was left feeling “nervous and uneasy” after the attack, and was initially unsure how his injury would affect his music career.
In a statement read out in court, James said: “Through no fault of my own and as a result of a totally unprovoked attack I am left feeling nervous and uneasy about visiting my family in my home town.
“There was nothing to justify the attack. I was worried I had suffered an injury which might affect my musical career.”
Meanwhile, Christopher – who had 12 previous convictions including battery and assault – was told by Judge Tony Briggs that his attack was “aggravated” and “serious”, and therefore jail time was “inevitable”.
During sentencing, the Judge said: “It’s plain from your record that you have some difficulty controlling your temper. It’s aggravated by the obvious position that you committed the offence while you were in drink.
“You clearly moved a significant distance to go to attack him. That said, this is a matter of some seriousness. Accordingly, a custodial sentence is inevitable.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Danielle Lloyd is in talks to pose for Playboy for the first time in 11 years.
The 33-year-old model reportedly headed out to Los Angeles at the end of last year to discuss the possibility of returning to the racy magazine, 11 years since she first stripped off for the cover in 2006.
A source said: “Danielle was in L.A at the end of last year with her fiancé Michael for a few meetings. They arranged it to coincide with a trip to Las Vegas for her brother Matty’s 30th birthday.
“She’d been asked to meet a few people earlier in the year, some of whom were past contacts at Playboy, and took the opportunity to go for a chat.
“It’s been ten years since she posed for the magazine and there was a discussion about whether or not she would pose again.
“It’s not certain as to whether there was an offer on the table but it’s something that Danielle later discussed with friends.”
Since her first Playboy shoot, Danielle has had three sons – Archie, six, Harry, five, and George, three, whom she shares with her ex-husband Jamie O’Hara – and is currently expecting a fourth child with fiancé Michael O’Neill.
However, sources say she is still considering the new shoot, as the “body-confident” beauty wants to help show how “women should be proud” of their post-baby bodies.
The source continued to The Sun newspaper: “As a mum-of-three, Danielle’s life has moved on considerably since she did that shoot – but as a body-confident 33-year-old, she almost felt a duty to think the prospect over, to show that women should be proud of their bodies after having a few children – and that her background as a model was still something she loved. The boys are her first concern though – and if she didn’t go through with it, she told friends it would be because of them.”

The 46-year-old powerhouse put the mishap of her ‘Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve’ gig behind her on Wednesday evening (15.02.17) as she took to the stage to belt out her new single ‘I Don’t’ during her appearance on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’ last night.
The blonde beauty – who has five-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe with her former partner Nick Cannon – adorned a figure-hugging v-plunge red gown as she sang her recent release with rapper YG – whose real name is Keenon Daequan Ray Jackson.
The ‘Heartbreaker’ hitmaker’s appearance comes almost two months after the star was left humiliated as her rendition of ‘Emotions’ on December 31 wasn’t in keeping with the backing track.
Mariah’s team later claimed Dick Clark Productions had attempted to sabotage her show.
And the musician herself took to social media to share how upset she was by the “technical issues”, which were “beyond [her] control”, and for being “foiled” on stage.
Speaking previously in an audio message she shared on Twitter, Mariah said: “I came to New Year’s Eve in New York in great spirits and was looking forward to a celebratory moment with the world. It’s a shame that we were put into the hands of a production team with technical issues who chose to capitalize on circumstances beyond our control.
“It’s not practical for a singer to sing live and be able to hear themselves properly in the middle of Times Square with all the noise, in the freezing cold, the smoke from the smoke machines, thousands of people celebrating, especially when their ear monitors were not working at all.

OHMYGOSSIP — Boy George has claimed he was having a drug-induced “psychotic episode” when he kept a male escort prisoner at his flat in London in April 2007.
The Culture Club singer was sentenced to 15 months in prison – only four of which he served – in 2009 for false imprisonment after he handcuffed sex worker Audun Carlsen to a wall, whipped him with a metal chain and hurled abuse at him but, although he is ashamed of what he did, he’s blamed his behaviour on drugs.
Speaking on Britain’s talk show ‘Piers Morgan’s Life Stories’, which will air on ITV on Friday (17.02.17) night, Boy George said: “One thing people don’t know is that I was prosecuted on my own evidence. I sent myself to prison. I told the police why I did what I did. In hindsight, I was having a psychotic episode. I was a drug addict so I can’t sit here and say my reasons for doing it were founded in any way. But I told the truth. I said: ‘This is why I did it. I was having a paranoid episode.'”
George, 55, has always denied beating the man – who managed to free himself from the chains and ran out on to the street screaming for help – but has never apologised for keeping him prisoner because he doesn’t think it’ll make a difference.
He said: “I have always denied beating the guy. I don’t think it [apologising to the victim] would make any difference. I always felt like not talking about it was dignified. All of it was the drugs. There us no way on God’s earth this would happen if I had not been on drugs. I kind of took responsibility but in my way. It is in my nature to spill my guts. I never really tell lies and sometimes it has worked against me.”
During his time in Pentonville Prison, George – who used his real name of George O’Dowd at the time – fell victim to a string of homophobic attacks.
He explained: “When I was in prison a lot of my friends blew me away. But Stephen Fry wrote to me, it was very humbling. I had a few altercations with other prisoners who were homophobic but it was not a shock. I was not scared. I made friends with people. I worked in the kitchen, which was great.”
Prior to his prison sentence, the ‘Karma Chameleon’ hitmaker spent up to £400-a-day on heroin and thinks he was probably close to death but didn’t realise the danger he was in at the time because he was too high on the drug to focus on real life.
His family and friends begged him to get help and Sir Richard Branson even allowed him to use his mansion as rehab but George thinks it was prison that saved him.
He said: “The best thing that happened to me was getting sober. My friend told me to go with him to a meeting and I went and it was awful but then I thought: ‘This is where I need to be.’ By the grace of God I have stayed sober.”

The ’27 Dresses’ star was hanging out with the ‘Free Fallin’ hitmaker around the time she went on her first date with her now-husband Josh Kelley and he decided to make their relationship official as he believed she had a crush on the singer.
Recalling what happened, she said: “John and I grew up in neighbouring towns and we knew some of the same people and some friends in common. We met up at one of his concerts. Just friends! Just friends! But Josh and I were probably dating about a month, and it was unclear where the relationship was going; I like clarity. I didn’t know if he was as serious about me as I was about him.
“I had run into John, who was in town making a record or something. We were just hanging out, having drinks, having dinners – as friends! Totally just friends! He wasn’t interested in me that way. He would talk to me about other hot girls and stuff; it was friends.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Ashton Kutcher teared up at a senate hearing on Wednesday (15.02.17) as he called for an end to child sexual exploitation.
The 39-year-old actor told the US Senate Foreign Relations Committee in Washington that it was time for “society and government” to defend vulnerable people and revealed he has been exposed to things “no person should ever see”.
Ashton, who married Hollywood actress Mila Kunis in 2015, said: “The right to pursue happiness for so many is stripped away, it’s raped, it’s abused, it’s taken by force.”
Ashton said more must be done to protect against sexual exploitation over the internet.
He explained: “Technology can be used to enable slavery, but it can also be used to disable slavery.”
The ‘Jobs’ actor was speaking at the hearing as the chairman of Thorn, which develops software to locate victims of abuse, and Ashton said his determination to tackle the problem was being driven by what he’d witnessed.
Ashton also admitted his organisation had been approached by authorities to help identify online perpetrators using new technology.
But, he said: “We were the last line of defence – an actor and his foundation.”
Ashton is among Hollywood’s most passionate campaigners on a number of social issues and in 2015, he took to Facebook to bemoan the lack of diaper changing tables in men’s toilets.
The actor – who has a two-year-old daughter called Wyatt and a two-month-old son called Dimitri with his wife – created a petition to encourage more companies to “provide universally accessible changing tables in their stores”.
On his Facebook page, Ashton wrote: “It seems this idea of diaper changing stations has struck a chord. It’s a pet peeve of mine when people just complain about s**t and don’t do anything to improve their condition. So lets do something. In for equality? Pass it on – ‪#‎LeanInTogether (sic)”

OHMYGOSSIP — Khloé Kardashian feels “happy and secure” in her relationship with Tristan Thompson.
The 32-year-old reality star – who’s divorce from Lamar Odom was finalised in December after she first filed the papers in 2013 – was first romantically linked to the Cleveland Cavaliers player in September, and has gushed about her “really positive, healthy relationship”.
She said: “I’m in a really good space right now in my life.
“It’s really good. I’m in a really good place. I feel really happy and secure and I’m just in a really positive, healthy relationship.”
And the ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ star doesn’t mind travelling to Ohio to spend time in Cleveland with the 25-year-old sports star, as the weather is a stark change to what she’s used to in California.

OHMYGOSSIP — Kanye West took away models’ phones in order to keep details of his Yeezy Season 5 fashion show a secret.
The 39-year-old star debuted his latest designs at New York Fashion Week on Wednesday (15.02.17) and in a bid to ensure that details of the products did not leak prematurely, Kanye denied models access to their phones – even during rehearsals, according to the New York Post newspaper.
What’s more, it’s even been reported that guests, including the likes of Kylie Jenner and Anna Wintour, were also barred from using their phones at Kanye’s request.
Other big-name guests at Kanye’s show included his wife Kim Kardashian West, as well as Tyga, Hailey Baldwin and Zoe Kravitz.
However, Kendall Jenner was one notable absentee as she was busy walking down another New York Fashion Week runway for Anna Sui.
Kendall, 21, recently admitted to relishing the Fashion Week experience, despite the pressures that come with it.
She said: “It’s really fun … you work all day and then people are like ‘let’s go out’ there’s no sleeping. The last three years have been awesome.”
Kendall also revealed she can usually hear her sister Kylie and her mother Kris screaming their support when she’s on the runway, despite her best efforts to remain concentrated on her job.
She previously shared: “Kylie, sometimes if she’s at a show, her and my mom usually, I can hear them screaming and sometimes I’ll smirk a little bit because I can’t hold it in. But I’ll never look.”
In fact, Kendall explained that she’s made a conscious effort to avoid making eye contact with the crowd since she became a model.

The 47-year-old singer and the country music star were forced to spend the annual romantic holiday apart from one another as Gwen was working in New York whilst Blake was in Oklahoma, but the ‘God Gave Me You’ singer still managed to send some “beautiful flowers” to mark the special occasion.

OHMYGOSSIP — Adele made over £500,000 every night during her world tour last year.
The 28-year-old singer has become one of the highest -paid performers ever after raking in the huge amount, according to new accounts filed by her firm Remedy Touring, of which she is the sole director.
The Sun reports that Adele’s company made a profit of £11.5 million between October 2015 and April 2016.
A source told the publication: “Given this was Adele’s first ever world tour her earnings really are incredible.
“If you break it down then she was making more than half a million every single night.
“The latest accounts just go up until April, when she was only a few months into the tour, which make it all the more astounding.
“Adele was selling out arena after arena every night so her income would definitely have shot up at the same rate throughout the rest of the year.
“It’s no wonder she was so keen to upgrade to stadiums for her upcoming Australia tour.”
Meanwhile, it has been claimed that the star has decided to take a lengthy break from the music industry when she wraps up her ‘Adele Live’ tour later this year.

The couple – who have been together for five years – got engaged in October during Adele’s world tour and she revealed at the Grammy Awards that they had secretly wed, when she referred to Simon as her “husband”, during her acceptance speech for Album of the Year.
Adele said: “Grammys, I appreciate it, the Academy, I love you, my manager, my husband and my son – you’re the only reason I do it.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Karlie Kloss has apologised for taking part in a Japanese geisha-themed photoshoot for US Vogue magazine.
The 24-year-old model received backlash after images from the shoot, which show her dressed in traditional geisha clothing, appeared online and she took to social media to say sorry for “participating in a shoot that was not culturally sensitive”.
Karlie wrote: “These images appropriate a culture that is not my own and I am truly sorry for participating in a shoot that was not culturally sensitive.
“My goal is, and always will be, to empower and inspire women. I will ensure my future shoots and projects reflect that mission.”
The shoot appears in the March issue of the magazine, which is also its Diversity issue.
This is not the first time Karlie has been accused of cultural appropriation.
In 2012, she was blasted for wearing a Native American headdress during the Victoria’s Secret fashion show.
Karlie said at the time: “I am deeply sorry if what I wore during the VS Show offended anyone. I support VS’s decision to remove the outfit from the broadcast.”
Victoria’s Secret said: “We are sorry that the American Indian headdress replica used in our recent fashion show has upset individuals. We sincerely apologise as we absolutely had no intention to offend anyone. Out of respect, we will not be including the outfit in any broadcast, marketing materials nor in any other way.”
