Andrew Lincoln excited for Love Actually reunion

OHMYGOSSIP — Andrew Lincoln says the ‘Love Actually’ sequel is “very exciting”.
The ‘Walking Dead’ actor is reviving his role as unlucky-in-love Mark in the mini-movie, which is being filmed for Comic Relief, and Andrew is thrilled that director Richard Curtis has decided to get the cast of the 2003 film back together.
He told Entertainment Weekly: “It’s fun and going to be really great to see everyone again. It’s very exciting. It’s a very cool thing.
“Richard got in touch about a month ago and mentioned he had something in mind. I’m shooting something in March.”
Richard has reunited with many of the major stars of the 2003 movie, including Keira Knightley, Colin Firth, Liam Neeson, Bill Nighy, Thomas Brodie-Sangster, and Rowan Atkinson for the 10-minute short, ‘Comic Relief Actually’, which will air on BBC One as part of their Red Nose Day coverage on March 24.
The short film will revisit the characters from the hit British movie and Richard had a great time working on the script.
He said: “Over the years I’ve enjoyed doing Red Nose Day specials of TV things I’ve worked on – ‘Blackadder’, ‘The Vicar of Dibley’ and ‘Mr Bean’.
“It seemed like a fun idea this year to do a special sketch based one of my films, since Red Nose Day is now in both the UK and America.
“I would never have dreamt of writing a sequel to’ Love Actually’, but I thought it might be fun to do 10 minutes to see what everyone is now up to. Who has aged best? – I guess that’s the big question… or is it so obviously Liam?”
And Richard was thrilled so many of the big stars from the movie were available to shoot the mini-movie.
He added: “We’ve been delighted and grateful that so many of the cast are around and able to take part – and it’ll certainly be a nostalgic moment getting back together and recreating their characters 14 years later. We hope to make something that’ll be fun – very much in the spirit of the original film and of Red Nose Day – and which we hope will help bring lots of viewers and cash to the Red Nose Day shows.”

John Legend's 'hilarious' Twitter hacker

OHMYGOSSIP — John Legend thinks his Twitter hacker is hilarious.
A number of messages were posted on the 38-year-old star’s micro-blogging page, which took aim at US President Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton, but John saw the funny side of the now-deleted posts.
He took to Instagram to write: “My twitter has been hacked. Will handle asap. My hacker is vulgar but kinda hilarious (sic).”
When John regained control of his Twitter account, he wrote: “I’m back. My hacker was vulgar and kinda hilarious. I’ll try to be funnier from now on so he won’t feel the need to ghost write for me.
“I would never threaten violence to the President. No matter how much I wish he would go away.
“I wouldn’t call him a Cheeto because I enjoy Cheetos.
“I did call him Liar-In-Chief. Then my hacker took over to do the Angrier John version of it all (sic).”
The hacker also changed John’s bio to say “I have a small penis” but claimed John’s was well endowed in a tweet, leaving the singer confused.
He quipped: “My hacker’s assessment of my endowment was confusing. Big in the tweet about Hillary. Small in the bio. Make up your mind, hacker (sic).”
John’s wife Chrissy Teigen also saw the funny side of the hack, sharing a direct message a friend had sent her about John’s changed bio and writing: “Best DM of my life.”

Demi Lovato lashes out on Twitter

OHMYGOSSIP — Demi Lovato has lashed out after Twitter users slammed her for claiming to be “one per cent African”.
The 24-year-old singer took to social media to share the results of a DNA test she took, which showed that she has Spanish, Native American, Scandinavian, Irish, British and African ancestry but was upset when some people reacted negatively.
She tweeted: “I did a DNA test and found out I’m mainly Spanish, with Native American, SCANDINAVIAN (which I had NO idea), Irish, BRITISH….
“And I’m 1% African!!!!
“I didn’t do a DNA test a few years ago, I only found out from my uncle about certain places (sic).”
While the majority of Demi’s fans reacted positively, she was left upset by some negative comments and wrote an angry tweet.
She said: “Just thought it was cool and totally random. Some of y’all are mean af. Twitter sucks (sic).”
Meanwhile, inspired by her own mental health struggles, Demi recently decided to sign up to executive-produce a documentary called ‘Beyond Silence’, which follows three people suffering from three very different mental health issues.
She said: “I hope that this film will show people that there is nothing wrong with having a mental health condition. If you do have one, you are able to live well and thrive with a mental health condition, if you are able to speak up and be vocal about the things you are going through.
“There’s something about when you speak out and are vocal about your story, it’s very inviting to others who are dealing with the same thing. And if you can make that impact on somebody’s life, it does something for you spiritually that makes you want to tell the story again and again and again.
“It’s very important we create conversations, we take away the stigma, and that we stand up for ourselves if we’re dealing with the symptoms of a mental illness. It is possible to live well and thrive with a mental illness.”

Meryl Streep's stylist denies Karl Lagerfeld's dress claim

OHMYGOSSIP — Meryl Streep’s stylist has hit back at claims she refused to wear a Chanel dress at the Oscars because they wouldn’t pay her to do so.
Micaela Erlanger insists Karl Lagerfeld’s comments about the ‘Mamma Mia’ actress are untrue and says opting for a designer who paid for her to wear a dress was against Meryl’s “personal ethics”
She told Business of Fashion: “As a stylist working with a nominee for any major event, it’s industry standard for designers to propose gown ideas and sketches – some custom, some not, depending on the occasion.
“In the case of Chanel’s submission, which was presented with full knowledge that Ms. Streep and I – her stylist – were having conversations with various brands, we were shown sketches of a dress from their most recent couture collection. Although [it was] an exquisite gown from the existing collection, we decided to go in a different direction, with another designer.
“At no point were there any conversations regarding monetary compensation. Nor were any other brands considered based on their willingness to pay for placement. This is not how my company operates and is very much a practice in conflict with Ms. Streep’s personal ethics.”
Karl previously claimed Chanel was told not to continue with the dress because Meryl had “found somebody who will pay”.
He said: “I made a sketch, and we started to make the dress (but then I get a phone call from her team a few days later which said): ‘Don’t continue the dress. We found somebody who will pay us.’ After we gift her a dress that’s 100,000 euros, we found later we had to pay [for her to wear it]. We give them dresses, we make the dresses, but we don’t pay.”
Chanel have now released a statement to insist they have a “continued and deep respect for Ms. Streep”.
They said: “Chanel engaged in conversations with Ms. Streep’s stylist to design a dress for her to wear to the Academy Awards, with the full understanding that she was considering options from other design houses.
“When informed by the stylist that Ms. Streep had chosen a dress by another designer there was no mention of the reason. Chanel wishes to express our continued and deep respect for Ms. Streep.”

Dame Helen Mirren is 'fed up' with her own ambition

OHMYGOSSIP — Dame Helen Mirren is “fed up” of always wanting to better herself.
The 71-year-old star may have 115 awards to her name including an Oscar, two Golden Globes and five BAFTAs but the Hollywood actress always has a “niggling little nub of ambition that hasn’t shut up yet”.
She said: “Well, of course, my career is pretty amazing. I am lucky in my profession that I am still working. So I can’t complain about that.
“But that doesn’t mean that my nasty, niggling little nub of ambition hasn’t shut up yet: ‘Why aren’t you doing this or that? Why didn’t you do that better? Oh you blew it there.’ That sort of drive is there and I wish it wasn’t as I’m kind of fed up with it.”
And the ‘Woman in Gold’ star – whose acting career has spanned more than 50 years – has slammed those who believe all actors are natural “exhibitionists” as she admits many actors and actresses “cannot deal with the fear of being who they are”.
She added: “People think actors are exhibitionists, and some are, but many cannot deal with the fear of being who they are and the process of acting allows them to get up and speak …
“You go up and say hi and you touch them and you feel them trembling. It’s an incredibly nerve-racking experience. But you are there and you have to deal with it.”
Helen has become a poster girl for ageing gracefully but the ‘Eye In The Sky’ star – who is married to Taylor Hackford – has confessed she “hates” the word sexy.
She told The Times newspaper: “I hate the word sexy. But be free, be liberated, be what you want to be. It’s to do with liberation, not sexiness: that’s probably in the past …
“I am very girly in that way. I have my happiest moments sitting in front of my make-up mirror, putting on my mascara. I love that process: I’m not embarrassed about that at all. I know it is kind of a dream, the whole thing, but I think we need dreams in our world.
“I get very cross with people, often men in the financial world, who say I live in the world of imagination. Well, what the f**k is the world of finance if not imagination? Why does the stock market go up or down because someone is elected president? The whole thing is kind of a fantasy.”

Louis Tomlinson: There's no bitterness with One Direction bandmates

OHMYGOSSIP — Louis Tomlinson insists there is no “bitterness” between him and his One Direction bandmates.
The ‘Just Hold On’ hitmaker and his former bandmates – Harry Styles, Liam Payne and Niall Horan – are all completely supportive of each other’s solo projects.
He said: “When I was on ‘The X Factor’, it was really nice all the boys came to support me and I think that’s what it’s all about. People love to write what they want to write but there’s no bitterness.”
And the 25-year-old singer says the group are enjoying taking their time away from the band but hasn’t ruled out a reunion happening at some point.
Pushed to give a date of when they would be getting back together as a band, he added to Rolling Stone magazine: “No one knows the answer right now. Everyone’s just enjoying a schedule that’s not as relentless and exploring solo projects.”
It comes after Niall promised fans a reunion would “definitely” be happening,
He said: “It will definitely happen, of course! As I’ve said many times, we’d be stupid not to. It’s going to be good when it happens … when it happens I don’t know.
“[Being in One Direction] changed our lives, it was the biggest part of our lives.”
Niall is busy working on his solo music, whilst Liam Payne – who is expecting a baby with Cheryl – is also working on his solo album whilst Harry has been filming for war drama ‘Dunkirk’ with Tom Hardy and Mark Rylance.
Niall said of his own solo record: “I am taking my time on it. I don’t want to rush it. I said it would be out at the start of the summer but I might push it back now a small bit.
“I don’t really have an idea. I’ll keep writing until it’s there and when it’s there I’ll let everyone know. It’s not going to be all singles.”

Cheryl's self-doubt struggles

OHMYGOSSIP — Cheryl “struggled with self-doubt” as a teenager.
The ‘Crazy Stupid Love’ hitmaker – who is expecting her first child with boyfriend Liam Payne – made the admission as she cradled her baby bump.
In the video, she said: “My name’s Cheryl and I’m from Newcastle. There was definitely a time when I struggled with self-doubt. I would say more so in my life when I was a teenager was when I first dreamed about experiencing those feelings of doubting yourself and doubting your decisions. I wasn’t doing very well in school at all.
“There’s moment in life when you might feel things as failure but they’re actually just learning curves so you can’t be afraid to fail … You’ve got to experience stuff to feel that way and I’m definitely at a place now where I don’t feel like I failed at things, I feel like I learn.”
And the 33-year-old singer went on to encourage others who may be experience those feelings now to speak up about it so they can get any help and support they might need.
She added: “There are absolutely options out there and steps you can take to better the way you’re feeling.
“Don’t ever just sit there feeling sad, feeling excluded, feeling in a horrible way. Don’t ever feel alone because there’s many of us out there that want to help.”
Cheryl finally confirmed her pregnancy earlier this week when a photoshoot of her baring her baby bump was released.
A source said at the time: “Cheryl is confident, proud and very ready to become a mum.”
Throughout her pregnancy, Cheryl has continued to work and she recently announced she would be opening a centre this summer to support disadvantaged young people in Newcastle as part of her charity Cheryl’s Trust and in collaboration with The Prince’s Trust.
The insider added of the collaboration: “It was important for her to continue working throughout her pregnancy, Cheryl’s Trust was her top priority.”

Catherine Zeta Jones' TV gift for husband Michael

OHMYGOSSIP — Catherine Zeta Jones bought Michael Douglas a new TV so she could have a new house.
The ‘Chicago’ actress – who has kids Dylan, 16, and Carys, 13, with her spouse – fell in love with a dream home but the ‘Behind the Candelabra’ star was reluctant to move.
However, Michael went along with her wishes and in order to cheer him up and allow him to give her free reign to do what she wanted with the property, she made sure the abode was kitted out with a “huge” new television.
She said: “We bought a new TV. Well, we bought a new house. Actually, I was the one who bought it – my husband didn’t want to move because he was happy where he was but I just fell in love with the place. So we moved in and I said, ‘I’ve got a treat for you’. And in the TV room, I’d bought him a huge curve TV, with a curved screen. And he loves it.
“He loves watching the football game on it, he loves talking about how many pixels it has – when people come to the house, he talks about it like it’s a Picasso. So now I can do anything to the house and he’s happy. And to see his sheer joy and love for the curve makes me a happy girl too.”
The 47-year-old actress thinks the key to their successful marriage is that they listen to one another and after overcoming Michael’s battle with cancer and her own problems with bipolar disorder, she says they are in a better place than ever.
She told HELLO! magazine: “I’m very blessed. I have a husband who listens to me and I’m a wife who listens to him.
“That’s why – although every marriage goes through its ups and downs, its times of adversity – we’ve come to a place where we couldn’t be better.
“I have a very healthy husband, a very healthy mother and two vivacious, healthy children. I think after that, everything just falls into place.”

Naomie Harris' Oscar nerves

OHMYGOSSIP — Naomie Harris is terrified at the thought of winning an Oscar.
The 40-year-old actress is up for Best Supporting Actress at the upcoming Academy Awards but is incredibly nervous at the prospect of having to get up on stage and address hundreds of people if she does win the accolade.
She said: “I don’t get that nervous with red carpets any more. I used to get very nervous.
“Public speaking is the next hurdle I have to overcome. If I won the Oscar, I’d be so nervous that I’d be quaking in my boots.”
The ‘Moonlight’ actress was always worried about becoming famous and losing her anonymity but now she’s a household name, she’s found things are not as bad as she feared.
She said: “I do get recognised more, but it’s not as bad as I initially feared. I was always scared of losing my anonymity, but people just say really positive things, which is nice.”
In ‘Moonlight’, Naomie plays a drug-addicted mother and she admits the role goes against everything she always vowed in her career, but she fell in love with the script and instantly changed her mind.
She admitted to Woman magazine: “I always said, ‘I won’t play a drug addict, I won’t play a prostitiute’. I had all these rules. And then along comes ‘Moonlight’ and it’s this incredible script … I cried three or four times, it’s so moving.
“It’s been tough because I don’t smoke, I don’t drink and I have no experience of addiction, so I was like, ‘How the hell am I going to find this woman?’ The only research I did was watching all these amazing clips and interviews with drug addicts on YouTube.”

Lionel Richie postpones Mariah Carey tour

OHMYGOSSIP — Lionel Richie has postponed his tour with Mariah Carey due to knee surgery.
The 67-year-old singer was due to team up with the ‘We Belong Together’ hitmaker for the ‘All The Hits’ tour next month, but they have had to push back the dates while Lionel recovers.
He told E! News: “When you have been performing as long as I have, it takes a toll on your body. Unfortunately my recovery from a knee procedure will not have me 100 per cent ready to start the tour next month. I don’t want to disappoint my fans and I look forward to being back on stage so we can all be ‘Dancing on the Ceiling’ together again.”
A representative added: “The tour will be postponed until the summer. New dates to be announced soon.”
The tour was set to begin in Baltimore on March 15 with more than 30 shows in the US and Canada and Mariah previously revealed that she plans to bring her five-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe with her.
She said: “Roc and Roe do get to come. They love to go onstage and actually they are very musical already.
“They have their school, and they have their teacher. They are doing really well but they don’t love the school, let’s just put it that way. But they are happy when they get to go with me on tour and there’s other kids there, too, so it’s good.”
Mariah, 46, also admitted that staying relevant in the music industry for over 20 years has not always been easy.
She said: “It’s very difficult, especially the way the business is now. I truly love music and always have. It’s not like … “Oh, here’s a way to get famous.” It wasn’t any of those things. It was my release, it was my everything and it still is. So I think that I’m just grateful that people still tune in.”

Robin Thicke court case closed to public

OHMYGOSSIP — Robin Thicke’s restraining order trial will be closed to the public.
The 39-year-old singer’s ex-wife Paula Patton obtained a temporary restraining order against him, requiring him to stay 100 yards away from Paula, her mother and their son Julian, six, outside of his pre-arranged visitation hours with youngster.
Paula has alleged that Robin physically abused her, was unfaithful and struggles with drug and alcohol addictions and in a trial, starting on March 6, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Roy Paul will decide whether or not to make the restraining order permanent.
And the New York Post’s Page Six reported that the judge has decided to close the hearing to the public and keep all court proceedings private.
Meanwhile, Paula, 41, recently claimed that Robin threatened to have her arrested for kidnapping their son.
The actress alleged in new court documents, obtained by gossip website TMZ.com, that he “willfully, intentionally, and wrongfully changed/fabricated a Court Order specifying custodial timeshare of the couple’s minor child” and “threatened to have [Paula] arrested for kidnapping premised upon the false and fraudulent court order” shortly before she was awarded temporary sole custody in January.
But a source close to ‘Blurred Lines’ hitmaker Robin, insisted they came to a custody agreement in February 2015 with a mediator and documented the details in private papers.
The insider told PEOPLE.com: “The document read exactly as it did on Feb. 4, 2015 when both parties agreed and signed, and there was nothing changed on that document.”
The actress also accused Robin and his team of engaging “in conduct specifically designed to influence the outcome of the DCFS investigation,” claiming the singer “took a DCFS [Department of Children & Family Services] case worker out for an expensive sushi dinner while DCFS was actively investigating allegations of abuse perpetrated by Mr. Thicke.”
But the source close to Robin said the dinner, which took place at Nobu in Los Angeles, was merely where he took Julian during one of his supervised visits and the DCFS worker did not sit at their table.

George Clooney's tribute to pregnant wife

OHMYGOSSIP — George Clooney paid a touching tribute to his pregnant wife at the César Awards in France on Friday (24.02.17).
The 55-year-old actor and his spouse Amal are expecting twins later this year and, after he was presented with an honourary award at the 42nd annual Cesar ceremony in Paris, George hinted at the his excitement about their expanding family.
He said: “To my wife Amal, there isn’t a day that goes by that I’m not proud to be your husband. And I am excited about the years to come, and particularly the months to come. I love you very much.”
George also got political during his speech, saying: “As we stand here today the world is going through some pretty momentous changes, not all for the best. As citizens of the world we’re going to have to work harder and harder not to let hate win.”
Meanwhile, George recently insisted that parenthood will be “an adventure”.
He said: “We are really happy and really excited. It’s going to be an adventure. We’ve sort of embraced it all with arms wide open.”
And the ‘Monument’s Men’ star says his friends were “very supportive” of the news, despite having given him a hard time at first.
He added : “Then it got really quiet, and they all just started making baby crying noises. And the whole table just busted up laughing.”
Meanwhile, a source previously claimed the ‘Money Monster’ actor was “excited but nervous” about becoming a father.
The insider said: “George is excited but nervous. He is excited about the kids, but also has the normal amount of nerves that come with being parents …
“Amal strikes me as someone who’ll be a fantastic mother. Intelligent, loving, funny, smart, nurturing. She doesn’t seem someone who will let kids get away with being Hollywood children.”
And it’s not a surprise that George might be feeling nervous as his pal Matt Damon recently joked he doesn’t know how “anyone” could bring up twins.
He said: “[George] said to me, ‘Well, you have four.’ And I said, ‘Yeah, but not at once!’ We did it one at a time. I don’t know how anybody does twins. Those sleepless nights … and there’s two of them? There’s just no way. But we’ll see.”
Matt was one of the first people to know about the impending arrival as he recently revealed George told him before the 12-week mark.
He shared: “I was working with him last fall and he pulled me aside on set and I mean, I almost started crying. I was so happy for him. And I was like, ‘How far along is she?’ And he goes, ‘Eight weeks.’
“[I said,] ‘Are you out of your mind?! Don’t tell anybody else! Don’t tell anybody else! Don’t you know the 12-week rule?’ Like of course he doesn’t. ‘Just shut up, man.’ And then four weeks later, I’m like, ‘We’re good right?’ [George confirmed] ‘We’re good.'”

Mahershala Ali welcomes first child

OHMYGOSSIP — Mahershala Ali and his wife Amatus Sami-Karim, have welcomed their first child together.
The ‘Moonlight’ actor announced the birth by sharing a picture of his spouse and their baby Bari Najma Ali on Instagram.
He captioned the sweet image: “Bari (Bar-ee) Najma Ali 2/22/17 #pisces (sic).”
Mahershala previously admitted it had been “very challenging” promoting the movie amid awards season while also waiting for the arrival of their first child, and he praised his “warrior” wife for helping him balance his life.
He said: “It’s been very challenging, and I’m working on another job as well.
“That’s tough… It’s always a fight to try and balance it, and you’re not going to, that’s the thing. You have to just see that you are going to, in some way shape or form, neglect some aspect of your life that needs to be tended to and that’s hard.
“A big help is I have a supportive partner who loves me and gets it and has been a soldier throughout this.”
The 42-year-old star joked his life feels like a movie, with the Academy Awards – at which he is nominated for Best Supporting Actor – and arrival of his baby due so close together.
He quipped’: “You couldn’t write it this way! I’d watch that movie and be like, ‘OK, who make that up?’ ”
While he couldn’t be happier about his professional success, Mahershala is looking forward to the end of awards season so he can look back and “appreciate” everything that has happened, including his recent Screen Actors Guild award win.
He said: “You don’t get a break to really be reflective. That’s the only thing I look forward to this, about this being over, is that I get to look back and appreciate the time. But right now just taking it a day at a time and really enjoying the opportunities we get to share the film.”

James Arthur traumatised by attack

OHMYGOSSIP — James Arthur is still traumatised by his attack.
Christopher John Revell, 31, smashed a glass over the ‘Say You Won’t Let Go’ hitmaker’s head in a “totally unprovoked attack” – which left him needing five staples to a head wound – during a night out with friends in Redcar, North Yorkshire, in August and James admitted he is still not over it.
Speaking after Revell was jailed for the attack, James told The Sun: “It was an ordeal. It was tough to see footage of it.
“It was quite disturbing to see it. I’m glad it’s behind me.
“I will feel nervous about going home and seeing friends and family. I don’t know what kind of damage it’s done.
“The worst thing about the physical damage is that I worry about head trauma – even when I’m playing football, something like heading the ball. I worry about it. Even moshing on stage.”
The attack came after the ‘X Factor’ winner, 28, had a one-night stand with Revell’s ex-girlfriend Gemma Iveson and James insisted it was not her fault.
He explained they were no longer in touch but added: “I think she’s been very kind in the media. She’s expressed concern and she seems sorry. She doesn’t have to be sorry — it is what it is.”
Earlier this month Revell pleaded guilty to wounding with intent at Teeside Crown Court, and was sentenced to five-and-a-half years in jail.
Revell – who had 12 previous convictions including battery and assault – was told by Judge Tony Briggs that his attack was “aggravated” and “serious”, and therefore jail time was “inevitable”.
Prosecutor Nick Dry told the court: “James Arthur and his group were walking towards the beer garden when without warning or provocation Mr Revell smashed a glass forcibly on the back of his head.
“As he stumbled forward from the incident the defendant followed up with a punch. He claimed he had attacked [Mr Arthur] because he had slept with an ex-girlfriend some time ago. He said he had lost it and whacked him as hard as he could. He denied using a glass and said he had gone into a rage when Arthur smirked at him.”
The ‘Impossible’ singer said he was left feeling “nervous and uneasy” after the attack, and was initially unsure how his injury would affect his music career.
In a statement read out in court, James said: “Through no fault of my own and as a result of a totally unprovoked attack I am left feeling nervous and uneasy about visiting my family in my home town.
“There was nothing to justify the attack. I was worried I had suffered an injury which might affect my musical career.”
