John Legend: Chrissy Teigen and I are stronger than ever

OHMYGOSSIP — John Legend and Chrissy Teigen are stronger than ever.
The ‘Love Me Now’ hitmaker – who has 10-month-old daughter Luna with the Sports Illustrated model – says the pair’s relationship is “better than ever” since they’ve become parents.
He said: “It’s better than ever. We love being parents, we love our daughter and we still enjoy each other’s company so much. We even love coming out to these events, even though it’s work. We have a good time together.”
And the 38-year-old singer revealed Luna has started “crawling and talking a little bit” now.
He added to People magazine: “She’s crawling and talking a little bit and we’re having a lot of fun with her. We’ve got to watch her, though. She’s moving around, [so] we’ve gotta be like, ‘Wait! Don’t go there…’ She’s a lot of excitement.”
It comes after Chrissy admitted she has the “utmost respect” for single mothers as she “doesn’t know” how they cope with raising a child on their own.
She said: “Every time I look at [my daughter] Luna, I wonder, ‘How on earth does anybody do this alone?’ I have the utmost respect for mothers [and] single mothers.
“I have my mother who lives with us, I have John, I have a nanny. I’m very outspoken about it, and when I see that I still have a difficult time, I just don’t know how anyone else does it.”
And Chrissy feels “very lucky” to be able to have “me time” with her husband as not everyone can afford a babysitter.
She added: “We’re very lucky to be able to do that. Not a lot of people can do that: can go on date nights, can have a sitter, have someone take care of their baby. ‘Me time’ is important, but not everybody can do it.”

Ariana Grande wasn't 'ready' to love Mac Miller

OHMYGOSSIP — Ariana Grande “wasn’t ready” to love Mac Miller when they first met.
The ‘Side To Side’ hitmaker met her now-boyfriend when she was still a teenager and admits love has “been there the whole time” for them.
She said: “I met him when I was 19. We have loved and adored and respected each other since the beginning, since before we even met, just because we were fans of each other’s talent.
“We weren’t ready at all, though, to be together. It’s just timing. We both needed to experience some things, but the love has been there the whole time.”
And the 23-year-old singer insists she doesn’t need love to feel “complete”.
She added to the April issue of Cosmopolitan magazine: “I’ve never looked at love as something that I need to complete me. I would like to be complete on my own first and fall in love with somebody who is also complete.
“You can still celebrate and be totally obsessed with each other, but I want to feel a hundred percent myself so that I can love that person better.”
Meanwhile, Mac previously revealed his relationship with the brunette beauty “happened organically”.
He said: “I wrote that love song before I saw her. We’re very good friends first and foremost. We made that song and started becoming close again. It’s very dope and I like how that worked out.
“It was great. There was no awkwardness or weirdness, it was how it always was. Just both of us older, more mature and more sure of ourselves. When we first recorded together we were young and figuring it out, which we still are, but now seeing her growth and my growth – it’s great.
“We hung out for a long time and everything just happened organically. We love making music together – we do that always. But she’s my best friend in the world.”

Katie Holmes wants to 'just direct' in the future

OHMYGOSSIP — Katie Holmes plans to quit acting and “just direct” in the future.
The 38-year-old actress believes the film industry is “so unstable” as she is always worrying about her next role, and although she enjoys starring in movies and being part of the creative team she “eventually” wants to focus solely on a career behind the camera.
Speaking in the April issue of Town & Country magazine, the brunette beauty – who directed ‘Eternal Princess’ in 2015 – said: “This business is so unstable, and you never really know where you’re going to be.
“For now I like acting and directing. Eventually I’ll just direct.”
And the ‘Dawson’s Creek’ star believes her 10-year-old daughter Suri – who she has with her ex-husband Tom Cruise – is the “most important person” in her life and her biggest priority ahead of her job at the moment.
She explained: “My child is the most important person to me, and her upbringing is paramount to my work right now.
“It’s very important that I’m present and she has a stable, innocent childhood. I feel so blessed to do what I do, but there’s nothing in the world better than watching your child succeed.”
And Katie has hinted she doesn’t want to miss out on a single minute of her daughter’s upbringing because she believes children gradually distance themselves from their parents as they get older.
She said: “Every day, kids get a little further away from you. That’s a positive thing. They should be becoming more independent, but it’s heartbreaking. You want them to stay with you forever, but they’re these amazing beings, and you have to do everything you can to give them what they need — and then they’re going to go. And that’s going to be very, very sad for me.”

Ricki Lake confirms ex-husband's suicide

OHMYGOSSIP — Ricki Lake’s ex-husband committed suicide amid a struggle with bipolar disorder.
The 48-year-old star announced last month her “soulmate” Christian Evans had passed away and she has now spoken of how she received a text message on February 11 while working in London from the jewellery designer’s sister saying he had emailed a suicide note and knew immediately he had “gone”.
She said: “I knew right then that he was gone. Everybody thought he was missing, but I knew..”
Christian was found dead two days later in his car with a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
The tearful presenter said: “The struggle was just too much for him. He did the best he could.
“I have to spread the word about recognizing this disorder and getting treatment as soon as possible.
“Christian didn’t want to be labeled as bipolar, but he admitted he was in the note he left. That was him finally owning it. That was him giving me permission to tell his story.”
Though the couple had divorced in 2015, they were still in a relationship until late last year, and Ricki – who had sons Milo, 19, and Owen, 15, from her first marriage to Rob Sussman – admitted Christian’s condition had led to their separation.
She said of the early days of their relationship, which began in 2010: “I felt like the luckiest girl that he chose me. He was the funniest person. He was so charismatic.
“He had a lot of self-esteem issues and a lot of demons. But I understood him, and he was someone that I think a lot of people misunderstood.
“We never fought, we never had an argument. He showed up for my kids. “He was this quiet force that was just all about love and goodness and wanting to help people.”
But in 2014, Ricki was horrified to see Christian in the grip of a manic episode.
She recalled: “I didn’t know what the hell hit me, because I didn’t know what it looked like, so I didn’t see it coming.
“For me, someone who has lived with him for four years and seen how hard it was for him to get out of bed and be excited for things, I saw him starting to be happy. It presented initially as him being motivated.
“[At the height of it], he thought he could fly. He thought he could cure cancer with his hands.
“It was horrific. He just wasn’t the person I had been with for four years.”
Following the advice of a therapist to cut off contact until Christian stablised, Ricki went on to file for divorce a month later, in October 2014.
But he was later sectioned and then entered a treatment facility, and the pair resumed their relationship and eventually moved back in together after his release.
Ricki said: “He wasn’t stable, and he was so fragile. But I was still in love with him, so there was something romantic about it. I wanted to save him.”
But Christian’s mania returned last September and he moved out again.
Ricki said: “I was upset, but I wasn’t surprised. I knew he was having an episode, and there was nothing I could do.”

Casey Affleck: It must be 'nice' for mum to have two Oscar-winning sons

OHMYGOSSIP — Casey Affleck believes his mother must feel very proud as both of her sons have won Oscars.
The 41-year-old actor walked away from the Academy Awards on Sunday (26.02.17) with the Best Actor in a Leading Role prize for his performance in drama ‘Manchester by the Sea’.
His victory follows his older brother Ben’s two Oscar wins for Best Original Screenplay for 1997’s ‘Good Will Hunting’ – which he shared with his close friend Matt Damon – and Best Picture for 2012 thriller ‘Argo’ which he directed and starred in.
The two siblings were brought up by their mother Chris after she left their alcoholic father Timothy and Casey is sure she must feel great about her boys’ cinematic success.
In an interview with the Boston Globe newspaper, he said: “It seems crazy … It must be nice for Mom. I’m pretty proud of all the things Ben’s done, and I’m incredibly proud of the fact the Academy honored me in this way.”
Casey is known for being super-selective about the roles he will accept, and ‘Manchester by the Sea’ producer Chris Moore – who has known him for 20 years – tried several times to cast him in other movies he has worked on.
Even though he is now an Oscar winner, Casey doesn’t think his approach to his work and his decision-making process when it comes to parts will change.
He explained: “I’ve chosen the parts that have interested me and parts that I thought I could do a job with but also were challenging and a little bit scary. I wish I had more control over my career, but making movies is something you do with lots of people.
“I’ve seen ‘Lord of the Rings’ and ‘The Hobbit’ about 25 times each, so I like all kinds of movies, but I’m drawn, as an actor, to dramas about humans living lives I can relate to. I don’t know what [the Oscar] means going forward. I don’t plan on changing anything about what I’ve done up to this point. Every once in a while a part like ‘Manchester by the Sea’ comes along and you get the chance to do it and you just hope, at that moment, you’re ready.”

Simon Cowell lives in constant fear

OHMYGOSSIP — Simon Cowell lives in “constant fear” of being burgled.
The ‘X Factor’ boss’ London home was broken into by Darren February in December 2015, and the music mogul admits the incident was “very traumatic” and has caused a lot of “concern” about the safety of himself, partner Lauren Silverman, and their three-year-old son Eric.
In a victim impact statement read during February’s sentencing in Isleworth Crown Court on Wednesday (01.03.17), Simon said: “The whole incident has been very traumatic and there is a constant fear that it may be repeated and that it may be worse next time.
“This incident has caused me great concerns about the security of my family.
“On reflection I am very scared of what could have happened to my son if the burglar had gone into his room.
“I could not bear to think of the consequences and also a lot would have happened if the burglar had come into our room.”
And Simon – who has lived in the house for 10 years – said he, Lauren, and Eric’s nannies have “become much more anxious over safety issues relating to my son’s care and well-being” since the burglary.
He added: “My son was in the house that night and I am naturally very concerned over what could have happened if the burglar had entered my son’s room, as any parent in the same situation would be.”
February – who was jailed for eight-and-a-half years last year for
knocking down and killing a motorcyclist – has been sentenced to eight years behind bars for stealing £950,000 worth of jewellery and passports from the 57-year-old star.
The court previously heard as much as £830,000 of the property is still missing.

Allison Williams: I'll only do projects that are 'relevant'

OHMYGOSSIP — Allison Williams will only take on projects that she believes are “relevant”.
The 28-year-old actress – who is best known for her role as Marnie Michaels on the HBO comedy drama ‘Girls’ – may like the sound of certain jobs, but if she doesn’t think she’s the right person for them, she will turn down the role.
Asked how she picks which projects she agrees to work on, Allison said: “The three questions I always ask myself are, ‘Why this?’ ‘Why now?’ ‘Why me?’
“‘Why this?’ is like, ‘Why bring this into the world? Is this important in any way? Do audiences need this?’ ‘Why now?’ has to do with whether or not this movie needs to exist in this moment. Does it feel relevant to what’s going on in the world, or is it going to feel completely pointless or incongruous by the time it comes out? And the ‘Why me?’ is interesting because occasionally I’ll read things where I’m like, ‘I love this, I think it’s important, I think it needs to come out now, but I have no business playing this part.'”
And the ‘Get Out’ actress credits some of her forward thinking to her “socially adept” parents, as she’s never had to worry about them “embarrassing” her.
Asked what her parents are like, she said: “My parents are so much cooler and more socially adept than I am that I’ve never gone into an interaction where I’m introducing them to someone and bracing for them to say something embarrassing. If anything, I’m the one who’s embarrassing, and they’re just totally graceful.”
But Allison hasn’t always been able to pick and choose her acting jobs, as she says her “weird” looks meant she was often cast in lesser roles when she was younger.
She told Rhapsody magazine: “I just existed in this weird limbo where I was such a string bean and had weird haircuts and braces and was not just really in my body. And so that lent itself to, instead of Dorothy, playing the mayor of the Munchkins.”

Frankie Bridge helps unveil Marie Curie's Garden of Light

OHMYGOSSIP — Frankie Bridge has helped unveil Marie Curie’s Garden of Light.
The 28-year-old singer, who is ambassador for the charity, joined ‘Green Wing’ actor Stephen Mangan to officially open the immersive art installation at London’s Paternoster Square, which was created by renowned public artists Greyworld to mark the launch of the Great Daffodil Appeal.
Speaking about the appeal, Frankie said: “The Garden of Light is a beautiful place to reflect on the amazing work carried out by Marie Curie Nurses and to remember the people we love. I’ll be wearing my Marie Curie daffodil throughout March for all the people I have loved and to raise awareness of the work the charity does. I really hope people join me in making every daffodil count to ensure more people get the care and support they need from these incredible nurses.”
The cause is particularly important to Stephen because Marie Curie nurses helped care for his parents.
He said: “I experienced first-hand the difference Marie Curie Nurses make when they cared for both my mum and later, my dad at home.
“Having the nurses there meant that we could spend time as a family, without worrying about anything else.
“The care and support they provided to both my parents and me and my sisters, made such a difference and left me with some really special memories of our last days together.”
The Garden of Light features 2,100 daffodils representing each one of the Marie Curie Nurses across the UK who provide care and support to people living with a terminal illness. The daffodils will illuminate at night, symbolising the light Marie Curie Nurses bring to people in their darkest hours.
It features winding pathways for the public to walk amongst the flowers whilst they hear recordings of voices reading real-life letters sent to Marie Curie Nurses from the families of patients they’ve supported.
Visitors can also leave behind a memory of someone they love by writing a message on a petal and placing it on the ‘Memory Wall’, which over the course of the installation will form a giant daffodil made of memories. There will also be the opportunity to make a donation to Marie Curie in return for a daffodil pin.
The installation will be in London until March 12, and Edinburgh’s St. Andres Square from March 16-18. There is also a Garden of Light at Coracles in Carmarthen until 5 March.
For more information visit www.mariecurie.org.uk/daffodil or call 0800 304 7025.

Bella Hadid wants to ride again

OHMYGOSSIP — Bella Hadid is hopeful she can start riding again in a “couple of years”.
The 20-year-old model had to give up her dream of an equestrian career when she contracted Lyme disease, which can affect the skin, joints, heart, and nervous system, and though it was a “really emotional” decision to take, she has accepted her situation but is focused on overcoming the condition – which her mother Yolanda and brother Anwar also suffer from – enough to get back on a horse.
She said: “It was really emotional for me. I thought I was going to ride horses for the rest of my life.
“But everything happens for a reason that’s my motto now, and I’m so happy to be where I am.
“Hopefully in a couple of years I can start riding again and buy a big barn upstate and me and my mum can go riding whenever we want.”
In order to keep the symptoms of her condition at bay, Bella undertakes “a lot of shots every day, and vitamins, biotics, stuff like that” but admits it “takes its toll”, especially when she’s busy with back-to-back modelling shows.
She said: “[During fashion week, I’m] exhausted but at the end of every day, I look back and I’m proud of what I’ve done.”
The brunette beauty used to be gripped by anxiety when she saw groups of fans and photographers waiting for her, but has now learned how to cope better with the attention.
She admitted in an interview with the Daily Telegraph newspaper: “I used to get anxiety, freak out and start sweating.
“But now, I can walk outside and be a little calm.
“We get really emotional because we want to be able to meet everyone, but we also have to go to work.”

Zoe Saldana: Hollywood is elitist

OHMYGOSSIP — Zoe Saldana thinks Hollywood is “elitist”.
The ‘Live by Night’ actress has claimed the mainstream US film industry can be snobbish about action movies – even though they are popular with a large proportion of cinemagoers.
Zoe explained: “Hollywood can have an elitist approach to content – it’s all about doing films that will get you nominated and doing films that will get you on the covers of those prestigious magazines – and they disregard the audience that loves action movies.”
The 38-year-old beauty said there is a certain level of responsibility than comes with starring in blockbuster movies, as they often act as reference points for young children.
She told #Legend magazine: “When children are lost, they don’t look to sophisticated intellectual movies for guidance. Some do, but most look to superheros so they have the imagination to dream.
“I take a lot of pride in filling those faces for those kids.”
And Zoe admitted it is important for her, as a leading Hollywood actress, that she embraces the responsibilities of her position.
She shared: “When a person who lives in the public eye embraces that responsibility, they understand what kind of responsibility they can own, and then that celebrity really succeeds.
“Not just physically but also spiritually.”
This comes shortly after Zoe – who gave birth to a baby boy called Zen in February – said it would be “unforgivable” if she left her newborn son and her two-year-old twins Cy and Bowie behind when she travelled for work.
The actress – who is married to Italian artist Marco Perego – previously said: “I’ve always believed in the power of having people around you who support you and make you better. We shift tasks around so Marco and I can have time together. Our [life coach] is teaching us to find a way to live a high quality life so we can afford to be rested.
“It’s very stressful. But it would be more taxing on my heart if I left them behind. My husband can’t do it either. It’s unforgivable. Once they start school, that takes precedence. But for now, where I go, they go.”

Jason Statham talks to his dogs over Skype

OHMYGOSSIP — Jason Statham Skypes his dogs every day.
The 49-year-old actor is perceived to be among the toughest men in Hollywood – but his fiancée Rosie Huntington-Whiteley has debunked the myth, revealing he can’t bear to be apart from his pet pooches.
Rosie shared: “Everyone thinks he’s like some kind of meathead. For me, I’m like, I only know him as being hilarious. I know a totally different side of him. He’s really playful.”
Asked whether he Skypes their pets, the blonde beauty said: “Every day. It’s like a little family. Everybody gets to say hi.”
And despite the glitz and glamour that surround the British duo in Los Angeles, Rosie insisted the couple still enjoy the simple things in life.
Asked how they like to fill their spare time, she told C Magazine: “To be honest with you, whenever J and I are just at home together, making dinner and watching a movie with the dogs around, or sitting in the garden.”
Rosie, 29, announced via Instagram in February that she is expecting her first child with her fiancé.
The model showed off her growing baby bump in a bikini on the photo-sharing website, with the accompanying caption reading: “Very happy to share that Jason and I are expecting!! Lots of love Rosie x Photo by @jasonstatham”
Rosie previously admitted she would love to start a family with ‘Furious 7’ star Jason, who she got engaged to in 2016 after six years of dating.
However, Rosie also confessed she was unsure where the couple would raise their future children.
She shared: “Having a family is something I think about, for sure, and whether I’d live here in America or in England.
“But it’s not always as simple as that. I have no idea what will happen, but it’ll be interesting to find out, right? And nothing will be perfect, I’m sure.”

Robbie Williams cast Ayda Field as lesbian in video

OHMYGOSSIP — Robbie Williams tricked his wife into playing a lesbian in his new music video.
The 43-year-old singer has shot three endings for the promo for his latest single ‘Mixed Signals’ and enlisted Ayda Field – the mother of his children Teddy, four, and two-year-old Charlton – to be involved.
While Ayda, 37, initially thought she’d be in the video as his on-screen wife, her husband told her she’d be there to “make out” with a “really hot model” – and she only discovered she’d be joined by a female the night before the shoot.
Introducing the clip on her TV show ‘Loose Women’ on Wednesday (01.03.17), she said: “It’s called ‘Mixed Signals’ and in the video there are three alternative endings – the first ending aired yesterday.
“We’re not sure if she’s cheating on him, but [in the first ending] she comes back to him, she’s been out and was rejecting this phone call, there’s concerns she’s playing the field, or where her attentions are, but she comes home.
“And this ending, the new ending today – I haven’t seen it before – that was me with a lady. The alternative ending is she’s having an affair with me.
“It was my husband’s idea and the funny thing was he was taking me through this video, ‘I’m married’ and I thought, ‘Oh, that would be a fun part for me’ and he said, ‘Oh no,no, that’s not going to be you. But at the end there’s an alternate ending where you’re making out with this really hot model’.
“I thought, ‘Ohhhhhhhhh. OK. What is he gonna look like? This is interesting. My husband is picking up a very fit man’… and it was a woman!
“He showed me a picture of a model the night before and he goes, ‘This is the model’ and it was a picture of this blonde girl and I was like, ‘What?’ And he’s like, ‘She’s gonna be in lingerie, and you’re gonna be in lingerie’… ‘Awesome, thank you very much.’ ”
But Ayda – who previously starred as Robbie’s love interest in the video for his 2009 single ‘Bodies’ – is pleased with the finished promo.
She added: “I’m so excited about this.”

Floyd Mayweather's Las Vegas home robbed

OHMYGOSSIP — Floyd Mayweather’s Las Vegas home was robbed of $150,000 worth of belongings while he was celebrating his 40th birthday in Los Angeles.
The retired fighter has been busily celebrating the landmark date with some of his celebrity pals, including Justin Bieber and Mariah Carey – but thieves took advantage of Floyd’s absence from his lavish residence in Sin City to steal several purses and at least one expensive watch from the property.
The police have been in contact with Floyd’s camp and the record-breaking fighter has been advised to take an inventory of his possessions, according to TMZ.
Until recently, Floyd – who is well known for his flamboyant lifestyle – was training rap star Soulja Boy for a proposed boxing fight against singer Chris Brown.
Floyd had been helping the ‘Kiss Me Thru The Phone’ hitmaker – whose real name is DeAndre Way – to get in shape for a much-anticipated grudge match against Chris.
But last month, Soulja Boy took to Twitter to shut down talk of the contest, claiming that Chris had refused to sign the contract committing to the fight.
He wrote on the social media site: “Chris brown manager call my manager last night and said the fight is off and he’s not signing contract. Don’t ask me about the s**t no more
“I aint gon say he a b***h or he shook or nothing. I’m just gon say he don’t wanna fight. simple. I can’t force him to sign the s**t. (sic)”
Talk of the fight first emerged after Chris – who was being trained by former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson – vowed to beat Soulja Boy for liking a picture of his ex-lover Karrueche Tran on Instagram.

Dan Stevens explains Beauty and the Beast's LGBT appeal

OHMYGOSSIP — Dan Stevens believes the lead characters in ‘Beauty and the Beast’ are popular with the LGBT community because of the discrimination they face.
The 34-year-old actor stars as The Beast opposite Emma Watson in the new Disney movie and has revealed why he believes his on-screen character and Belle are both well liked by the community.
He shared: “It’s about that sense of persecution. Belle is seen as a bit of a freak within her community, this girl who reads and invents things and is a bit too clever for the local Establishment. And Beast is obviously persecuted because of his appearance.”
Meanwhile, Emma revealed she was keen to “develop” why Belle feels like she doesn’t fit in.
She told the April issue of Attitude magazine: “I think it was really important actually for Dan and I to develop and understand why each of our characters feel like they don’t fit in.
“I certainly felt watching the original that I wanted to know more about why Belle feels that she’s different and why she wants to be different and why she’s naturally different.”
The much-anticipated new movie features Disney’s first-ever gay moment.
And although director Bill Condon has remained tight-lipped about the specifics of the scene, he promised moviegoers they can expect to see a “nice, exclusively gay moment” in the new ‘Beauty and the Beast’.
He said: “LeFou is somebody who on one day wants to be Gaston and on another day wants to kiss Gaston. He’s confused about what he wants.
“It’s somebody who’s just realising that he has these feelings. And Josh [Gad, who plays LeFou] makes something really subtle and delicious out of it.
“And that’s what has its pay-off at the end, which I don’t want to give away. But it is a nice, exclusively gay moment in a Disney movie.”

Dev Patel and Tilda Cobham Hervey are dating

OHMYGOSSIP — Dev Patel is dating Tilda Cobham Hervey.
The 26-year-old actor has been spotted holding hands with his ‘Hotel Mumbai’ co-star in Los Angeles and she has even been staying at his Hollywood home in recent weeks.
A source said: “Dev has been trying to keep his new girlfriend secret, but he was spotted looking very loved up with her last week. She’s been staying with him at his new pad.”
Although Dev has recently been focusing on his career, the actor met Tilda on the set of ‘Hotel Mumbai’ and they have since grown very close.
The source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “This new romance has come out of the blue, but Dev seems very happy.”
Despite his burgeoning romance with the Australian actress, Dev attended the Oscars on Sunday (26.02.17) with his mum Anita.
Dev walked the red carpet with Anita by his side and credited her for helping him to achieve his dreams.
He explained: “She encouraged me to act in the first place. She always told me to work hard and do my best and I’ve followed her instructions. She’s worked hard all her life and I hope that I’ve followed her example
“I’m so excited that my mum is my plus one.”
Anita admitted she was stunned to be by her son’s side at the annual awards bash in Los Angeles.
She said: “I never thought I’d be here…
“I went to his first audition and today I’m here.”
But Anita insisted she hasn’t been remotely surprised by Dev’s emergence as one of Hollywood’s most sought-after stars.
She recalled of his younger years: “He was a cartoon really. A comic at home as well. He’d make fun of everyone.
“He could pretend to be anyone really, he’d copy everyone’s accents – he’d make us all laugh.”
