OHMYGOSSIP — Tyra Banks is the new host of ‘America’s Got Talent’.
The former ‘America’s Next Top Model’ star will be taking over from Nick Cannon as presenter of the popular programme and can’t wait to get to work with judges Simon Cowell, Mel B, Howie Mandel and Heidi Klum.
She tweeted: “Surprise! TyTy is the new host of #AGT @nbcagt! (sic)”
And the 43-year-old beauty is looking forward to connecting with the contestants and helping them make their dreams come true – as well as teaching them to smize, her famous expression meaning smile with their eyes.
She said in a statement: “Since I was a little girl, I’ve been obsessed with grandiose acts and performers who make the seemingly impossible possible.
“I love how ‘AGT’ brings that feeling into everyone’s home, capturing the best of people who come out and give it their all to make those big, fierce and outrageous dreams come true.
“I look forward to connecting with the dreamers, having fun and giving hugs and words of encouragement when needed. And maybe I’ll get one or two performers to smize for the audience!”
Judge Howie is also excited at the thought of being taught to smize by the fashion icon.

Simon, who also created the show and serves as executive producer, is pleased to have Tyra on board following Nick’s departure after a row with network NBC.

OHMYGOSSIP — George Michael reportedly left his £10 million London mansion to his older sister Melanie.
The ‘Careless Whisper’ hitmaker passed away from natural causes on Christmas Day (25.12.16) aged 53, and has reportedly left his lavish Highgate mansion home to his 55-year-old sister and hairdresser Melanie Panayiotou.
Melanie is believed to have already moved into the home whilst she plans the funeral of the former Wham! star which is set to take place in the coming days, almost three months after his death.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “George was very close to his whole family but he had a particularly special bond with Melanie, who was by his side at the height of his fame. She adores the Highgate house, one of the first he bought. They shared some wonderful times there and it has a special place in her heart. Melanie is staying there at the moment while she organises the funeral.”
The delay in the funeral for the ‘Faith’ singer comes as the original post-mortem results came back as “inconclusive”, but extensive testing – including toxicology – over the past two and a bit months, it was announced earlier this month by the coroner’s office that the star died of dilated cardiomyopathy with myocarditis and fatty liver.
Meanwhile, it was recently reported that George is set to be buried next to his mother Lesley – who passed away in 1997 – in a plot at Highgate Cemetery in North London.
A source said: “Lesley was George’s world so it is fitting that they should now be together. George would always make a big deal out of Mother’s Day. He loved her so much and he would spend a lot of time talking to her there. The cemetery has a very special place in his heart.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Adele has a private Twitter account.
The chart-topping singer isn’t allowed access to her own Twitter account by her management because she can be “mouthy”, but Adele has admitted she’s secretly created her own account on the micro-blogging website.
Speaking during a gig in Brisbane, Australia, the 28-year-old star explained: “I was looking on Twitter last night. They don’t know I have a secret account, well obviously they do now because I said that. By ‘they’, I mean my management.
“I’m not allowed access to my own Twitter because I’m quite mouthy and I say the wrong thing a lot of the time, so they took that privilege away from me.”
Adele’s tour of Australia has been marked by a series of confessions made by the record-breaking singer.
Just recently, for instance, she confirmed her marriage to Simon Konecki while on stage in Brisbane.
Introducing her song ‘Someone Like You’, she told the crowd: “I could see in people’s eyes as they were listening to it on their headphones that it reminded them of something or someone.
“I was trying to remember how it was I felt at the beginning of the relationship that inspired that record because as bad as a break up can be, as bitter and horrible and messy as it can be, that feeling when you first fall for someone is the best feeling on earth, and I am addicted to that feeling.
“Obviously I can’t go through with those feelings because I’m married now. I’ve found my next person.”
Adele also defended Justin Bieber after he was booed at her concert at the ANZ Stadium in Sydney.

OHMYGOSSIP — Demi Lovato is “having fun” with her boyfriend Guilherme ‘Bomba’ Vasconcelos.
The 24-year-old singer has been dating the Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fighter since last year, and has said their relationship is “going really good”.
She told ‘Entertainment Tonight’: “[It’s] going really good. I’m just having fun; you know? And my life is in a really good place right now. He makes me laugh.”
Demi briefly dated Bomba last July but the pair split a few weeks later and she started romancing ex-UFC middleweight champ Luke Rockhold in the summer.
However, her and Luke later decided that their relationship wasn’t progressing and they decided to end things on good terms and focus on their friendship instead.
The brunette beauty set tongues wagging over the festive season when she and Bomba rung in the New Year together with a romantic date in Los Angeles and it seems things are heating up between the couple as she’s now publicly gushing about him.
Previously, the ‘Confident’ singer said she thoroughly enjoys supporting her beau’s fighting career, but admitted she struggles to watch when he’s in the ring – even though he “mostly wins.”
She said: “He does cage fighting. It’s really dangerous. There are rules but you are in a cage. You can’t kick them in a certain area. There’s other rules but I don’t really know all of them. Yeah of course (I get nervous] but he mostly wins. I don’t feel bad. It’s a sport.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Tom Meighan suffered a secret meltdown and split from his long-term girlfriend in 2016.
The Kasabian singer separated from Kim James and moved out of his family home to move into a rented flat, after his life took a downward turn.
Tom – who has a four-year-old daughter called Mimi Malone with his ex-girlfriend – shared: “Basically my life changed. I’m by myself. Because I lost myself.”
Tom, 36, admitted 2016 was a year he’d rather forget – unlike his bandmate Serge Pizzorno, whose favourite soccer side Leicester City won the English Premier League.
He said: “In every way, 2016 was great for Serge, great for Leicester City, s**t for me.
“I had to sort my head out. My attitude. Stuff I was doing. People I was associating with. Not bad people.
“I was the one that was bad, I was in the haze. I was very unhappy, just down. You block it out by just carrying on.”
Tom said his recent woes may have been result of years of negligence.
He explained to the new issue of Q magazine: “It was at the peak of my musical life. Sometimes life throws s**t at you and I didn’t deal with it very well.
“I was making myself ill, I ain’t gonna lie, my mind was jolted.
“It might have been a build-up from years and years. I wasn’t taking responsibility and it affected everyone around me, horrendous.”
And while Tom is confident he’s on the road to recovery, he also admitted that the recent death of a friend has left him heartbroken.
He shared: “Recently I had a tragedy. A great friend died, couple of weeks ago.
“I ain’t gonna go into detail. I’m all right. But the old me would’ve gone crazy. I would’ve gone on one, and not thought about it.
“I sobbed and sobbed and sobbed. It’s not fair.”

The ‘Teen Wolf’ actor’s partner, celebrity florist Jeff Leatham, proposed on vacation in Mexico over the weekend, and after the pair announced their happy news on Instagram, friends rushed to share their joy.
Rob Lowe tweeted: “Congrats to @ColtonLHaynes One of the great guys. Happiness to you both! (sic).”

OHMYGOSSIP — Gwen Stefani was worried that working with Blake Shelton might be “weird”.
Although the couple met while co-starring on ‘The Voice’ together, Gwen, 47, admitted to some trepidation about her return to the US TV show this year.
She told Entertainment Tonight: “I feel like when we were coming back this season, I was a little nervous. I was like, ‘This is going to be weird!’ But, you know, the show is so real. All it is, is us just being there and being us. So, it’s been really fun.
“Obviously, any time I can be around Blake is a blessing.”
Gwen previously admitted she stopped asking her 40-year-old boyfriend for advice on her contestants because he is “the enemy”.
She said: “I was nervous at first. I was like, ‘Wait, is this going to be awkward? How am I going to act?’
“It’s just natural. Sometimes it is a little bit [weird]. We’re driving home and I’m like, ‘Do you think I should put them together?’ And then I’m like, ‘Wait a minute! I’m not going to talk to you about this! I don’t know if you are the enemy. This is confusing.’
“We actually do help each other, and I’ve learned a lot about country music – just in [the] last year – through him.”
However, the singer largely feels “comfortable” working on the talent show as the coaches, which this year also include Adam Levine and Alicia Keys, have such a great bond.
She said: “Three seasons [in], you get comfortable. [I love] the chemistry between the coaches! Alicia Keys is just so magical. Adam and I, we’ve known each other for a while

OHMYGOSSIP — Adele dedicated one of her songs to a fan who suffered a cardiac arrest at her concert.
The woman was taken ill at Adele’s gig at ANZ Stadium in Sydney last week and when Adele returned to the stage the following evening, she explained that the track ‘Take It All’ was for the sick fan.
She said: “At this point in the show last night, there was a lady, she got really ill down there and I sang this song and with my back to what was going on.
“I knew what was going on but I was really scared and it was at this point I stopped the show to make sure she was OK. I don’t know if she’s OK yet but I’d like to sing this song for her tonight.
“I wish you a speedy recovery. I look forward to finding out who you are, I don’t know who she is yet and I’ll be speaking to you soon, I hope.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Maisie Williams and Sophie Turner will star in Apple’s ‘Carpool Karaoke’.
The ‘Game of Thrones’ actresses – who play Arya and Sansa Stark in the fantasy TV series – took to the show’s Twitter page to share a video of them filming an upcoming episode.
They said: “Hey, Sophie and Maisie. Or Maisie and Sophie. And we’re at SXSW. and we’re about to do Carpool Karaoke for Apple Music!”
And a message on the show’s account said: “STARKpool Karaoke? Lane of Thrones?@SophieT and @Maisie_Williams from @GameOfThrones are shooting a #CarpoolKaraoke for @applemusic! (sic).”
Last year Apple bought the rights to a TV series based on the popular segment of James Corden’s ‘Late Late Show’.

The 28-year-old actor first revealed his romance with celebrity florist Jeff Leatham last month and took to Instagram over the weekend to share that Jeff had proposed.

In a diary excerpt from November 2014 which he shared with Paper magazine, he wrote: “I honestly wake up after five hours of sleep wide-awake. OHMYGOSSIP — Rob Kardashian is house-hunting.
The 29-year-old reality TV star is currently renting one of his sister Kylie Jenner’s mansions in Los Angeles but he has been spotted looking for his own home in Encino, near where his on/off fiancée Blac Chyna lives with their daughter Dream.
TMZ reports that Rob is interested in a $6.9 million home, with eight bedrooms, five bathrooms, a pool, hot tub and a guest house.
Rob and Chyna’s on/off relationship is off at the moment and the pair are currently living separately.
A source recently said: “They are definitely not living together. They’re still broken up.”
And, because of this, the future of their E! reality TV show ‘Rob & Chyna’, is uncertain.
An insider from the show’s production team recently said: “[‘Rob & Chyna’ is] up in the air.”
Another source has confirmed a new series is “not happening”, as it was a struggle filming the pair in their first season, but they now they don’t spend any time together.
A separate insider explained: “It was hard for them to film season one and season two is not happening.
“They can’t even get through a day together – logistically they can’t do it. They co-parent Dream, but they don’t spend time together with Dream.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Weston Cage could be sentenced to a year in jail after being charged with driving under the influence (DUI) and hit and run.
The 26-year-old son of Nicolas Cage faces three charges, one for DUI and two for hit and run, following a police car chase in February, which ended when he ran into a tree in Los Angeles’ San Fernando Valley.
TMZ reports that Weston’s blood alcohol was .15, almost twice the legal limit, when he reportedly got into an accident but fled before the police arrived.
This led to the chase in which he hit a number of mailboxes and a street sign before ploughing into the tree.
Weston – whose mother is Christina Fulton – has been open about his alcohol addiction in the past but said in 2015 that he stopped drinking when his son Lucian – who will be three in July – was born.
Speaking when Lucian was 14 months old, West said: “He saved my life because as soon as I saw him I didn’t want to drink anymore. It’s been over one year and I have not had a drop of alcohol. It’s just not worth it. And I don’t miss the hangovers.”
Weston admitted to DailyMail.com previously that he used to drink 30 beers, a box of wine and hard spirits every day and said: “alcohol became a nightmare”.
He added: “You have to know what type of alcoholic you are. I was the kind that drank until I was unconscious. I knew I could not go on living that way. I knew there had to be a better life.
“It’s dangerous because you can get taken advantage of, you can’t protect your family when you are that out of it. I don’t miss the hangovers, I don’t miss the bad feelings and the bad dreams.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Olly Murs’ twin brother doesn’t want to reconcile.
Recently, the 32-year-old singer revealed he is desperate to repair his relationship with his sibling Ben Hart – who he has not spoken to in eight years – but Ben insisted he has tried to reach out in the past and “got the door slammed in my face”.
He told the Sunday People: “I wish him all the best. But I’ve got my life and he’s got his. The last time I made contact I got the door slammed in my face.”
Ben has stopped talking to his parents Vicky-Lyn and Pete and has blamed ‘The X Factor’ for causing a wedge between him and his family after Olly missed his wedding because of his commitments to the show.
He has also taken his wife’s last name in a bid to distance himself from his famous brother and despite Olly’s recent comments about him, he is not looking for a reconciliation.
Olly recently said: “I think it’s well documented in the press now that we don’t get on. I think it’s probably the hardest thing for me, that we don’t get on now.
“Whenever we had an argument as kids, because we were twins, we’d go ‘Ahhhh’, then sit and watch TV and we would just be normal again.
“We never held a grudge, we never fell out when we were at home, ever, it’s hard now not ever having your twin brother around to experience this life that I have now got, knowing that we used to have an argument or a disagreement and we’d just get over it and it would be fine.
“In my head I think that I really hope that the next time I see him, and I don’t know when that’s going to be, but I do hope that will be the case.

OHMYGOSSIP — Adele reportedly hides in a “pretty small box” in order to travel from her dressing room to the stage when she is performing.
The 28-year-old singer is currently performing a host of shows that are staged in the round – meaning the stage is in the centre of the audience – and has reportedly come up with an ingenious way of travelling from her dressing room to the stage without being detected by her adoring fans.
A source told The Sun newspaper: Adele sits in the box for several minutes as she is taken from her dressing room right to the centre of the crowd.
“Most of her fans are already seated and just presume it’s a piece of kit they are moving but some have been told by staff at venues that actually it’s their idol and a woman worth £85million sitting in a pretty small box a few feet from them.
“A few have worked it out as her personal security Peter Van Der Deer – who is never away from her side – accompanies the box during its journey.
“Then her team flank it as it reaches the stage and shield her from view as she climbs out and goes to wait underneath the stage for the start.
“Fans have been told she has an iPad in there to keep her entertained but it is a very sweaty and unglamorous part of the show for Adele to get through but she’s down to earth and jokes about it.”
Meanwhile, the ‘Hello’ hitmaker recently hinted at the strange mode of transport during a show in Brisbane, Australia.

OHMYGOSSIP — Gillian Anderson doesn’t believe she has the “platform” to talk about politics.
The 48-year-old actress says she won’t speak out about political issues because there’s “so much” that she doesn’t understand, and says the discussion is better left to those who understand the “very very complex issues”.
She said: “I generally have a tendency to steer away from outright political discussion in interviews, because I am an actor, and there’s so much that I don’t understand, and I don’t for a second feel like I have a right to that platform. I don’t want to get into a discussion about Trump or about Brexit or any of that – I feel it’s best left to people who really understand the very, very complex issues. Not for a second am I going to pitch in, because I don’t really know what it is that I’m talking about.”
And ‘The X-Files’ star admits that whilst she does “have opinions” on political matters, she doesn’t feel her stance as an actress makes those opinions “more valid”.
She added: “I have opinions, but I don’t think my opinions are more valid because I’m an actor and have more of a platform than others.”
But the actress insists she doesn’t believe that celebrities shouldn’t speak out, and was only speaking for herself and not for Hollywood as a whole.
Asked by The Guardian newspaper if she shares the view that actors ought to stop turning awards ceremonies into anti-Trump rallies, Gillian said: “No, no, no, I’m not saying that at all. I’m only talking about myself. I don’t have an opinion on whether or not actors should speak out.”

“I can’t tell you about the funeral – it should have happened a long time ago. This has gone on and on. I was in the middle of it all.
“But I don’t know anything about the funeral, I really don’t know anything. Believe me. It’s all so strange.”
A coroner found earlier this week that the ‘One More Try’ singer died from dilated cardiomyopathy with myocarditis and fatty liver.
But there had been speculation his passing was connected to drug abuse, and suspicion was cast over Fadi because he had slept in his car the night before he found George’s body.
Though the hairdresser found the rumours “upsetting”, he could understand why people were suspicious.
He said: “Yes I know people thought that, but it’s because that’s what we do as humans – we hate each other.
“I know it’s quite normal, it’s natural, but it’s still upsetting. I’ve had it myself. We’re human, and in a way I understand it.
“People can die at any age – people die at three years old, five years old, it’s something we can’t control can we.
“This week was a relief for me, because at least I’m not doubted. And that’s incredibly important for me because can you imagine how it feels that people would doubt my love for him? It’s horrible.”
