OHMYGOSSIP — Priyanka Chopra thought being an actress would be easy.
The ‘Baywatch’ star joined Bollywood from an academic background and was surprised by how tough the industry was.
She said: “Coming from academics, like an idiot, I was like, ‘Oh, it’s just pretty people. You’ve got to wear lovely outfits and say a few lines. How hard can this be?’
“Boy, was I surprised. I just kind of went on set and fell and dusted myself off, and learned, and then fell again and figured it out.”
And now she is an international star, Priyanka is keen to give back to those less fortunate than herself.
She added to the April issue of Marie Claire magazine: “Giving back was a big part of my upbringing.
“When you get so much, you’ve got to find a way to give back. You don’t need a fat wallet. Time is something each one of us has and all it really takes to make the world better – and intention.”
Meanwhile, the 34-year-old actress previously opened up about her injury on the ‘Quantico’ set earlier this year, admitting it was “actually scary”.
She said: “It was actually scary. I’ve never got hurt before on-set while I do stunts, I always do them myself. This was just a one-off.
“I was supposed to be saving someone, as usual. And I was wearing rubber boots, it was raining and there was plastic on the floor, and I flipped on that. Can you imagine, after all the action I do, that’s how I get a concussion?
“As long as I don’t do any action and stuff, I’m supposed to be fine. I’m keeping my neck a little straight, I’m Mr. Robot today.”
During the time of her fall, a representative for the star described the incident as “minor”.
They said in a statement: “Yes, we can confirm there was a minor accident … and [she] will return to work after the weekend …
“Priyanka returned to work on Monday morning. While she is still sore and stiff from her fall, she is getting stronger every day and is happy to be back at work.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Gillian Anderson felt like “somebody else had taken over her brain” when she went through the menopause.
The 48-year-old actress – who has Piper, 22, with her ex-husband Clyde Klotz and Oscar, 10, and Felix, eight, with her former partner Mark Griffiths – has recalled how she felt like she “could handle nothing” when she went through the natural change in hormones and hopes opening up around it will reduce the stigma surrounding it.
She said: “I was used to being able to balance a lot of things, and all of a sudden I felt like I could handle nothing. I felt completely overwhelmed.
“When I talked to the menopause specialist, she said that she often gets phone calls from female CEOs screaming down the phone, ‘I need help now! I am losing my mind!’ And that’s completely right. I felt like somebody else had taken over my brain.”
And the ‘X-Files’ star revealed how it was two decades on until she realised she was going through the menopause.
Writing for Lenny Letter, she added: “I remember, in California, I think, in my late 20s or early 30s, a naturopath I’d just started seeing looked at my blood work and said, ‘You’re showing signs of early menopause.’ And I completely ignored her! I didn’t know what it was. It certainly wasn’t something my doctor had picked up on, and I didn’t look into it further.
“And then two years ago – that’s twenty years later! – it was eight in the morning and I remember throwing my coat down on the floor in front of at least two of my children, and saying out loud, ‘This day sucks!’ The day hadn’t even started, but there was something about my inability to handle anything that morning that alerted me to the fact that something was up. And as the day went on, I kept having to excuse myself from meetings and go into the bathroom to cry.
“It was at the point that I felt like my life was falling apart around me that I started to ask what could be going on internally, and friends suggested it might be hormonal.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Priyanka Chopra is desperate to have children because she prefers their company to adults.
The 34-year-old actress is not looking for love and is happy being single for the moment, although she is eager to be a mother and has revealed she plans to have “as many” babies as she can because she enjoys spending time with kids than she does adults.
Speaking about her love life and future relationship goals, the brunette beauty said: “Yeah, plans and me don’t really work out. I’ve learned it’s better to just go with my instincts. I’m not someone who looks for love. I don’t believe in making it happen. My life has been shaped by so many serendipitous moments so far, I feel like, Why screw with a good thing?
“[I want] as many [children] as I can. I love kids. Love, love kids. I prefer their company to the company of adults, actually.”
And the ‘Quantico’ star has praised her mother, Madhu, and her late father Ashok Chopra – who died in 2013 – for being supportive parents, as they promised her they would always help “fix” any problem she had regardless of how terrible the “screw-up” was, although she vowed to be independent at an early age.
Speaking about her family in the April issue of Marie Claire magazine, the Indian star said: “I like to find my own way, which is something my parents always encouraged in me. They were like: ‘You got you.’ I think my inherent sense of confidence comes from that. Also, my mom used to always tell me, ‘You could make the biggest screw-up on the planet, but you can come tell me and I’ll help you fix it.’ And my dad used to tell me, ‘You kill someone, break a car, you come and tell me. I’ll fix it for you.'”

OHMYGOSSIP — Gabourey Sidibe used to regard her body as “an enemy”.
The ‘Empire’ actress secretly underwent bariatric surgery last year after trying for over a decade to shed the pounds and though she feels like she has “won” her battle, she feels like she has “wasted” a lot of time being “mad” at herself instead of treating herself kindly.
She said: “I think I saw my body as being outside of myself; it was like an enemy, beside me not in me. And now I’ve won.
“I wish I hadn’t wasted so much time being mad at it. Because if I’d started treating it better sooner, I wouldn’t have spent so many years hating myself, I wouldn’t have allowed that negative energy to be around me.
“Life is really, truly all about choices and decisions. I wish I’d made the choice to love my body sooner. But I finally have.”
While the 33-year-old actress thinks she is “beautiful”, she will never truly believe trhat other people share that opinion as she’s spent so long being told she is “ugly”.
She told People magazine: “It’s kind of sad, but I’ll never quite be convinced that anybody that really is outside of my tribe thinks I’m beautiful. Not because I don’t think I’m beautiful — because I do.
“I’m so beautiful, because I look like my mom, and I look like my dad, and they’re beautiful. So the mask just is there for me to be beautiful.
“Other than my very obvious beautiful f***ing features, like my cheekbones, my skin-tone? Get out of here. Gorgeous!
“My entire life, I have been conditioned to believe that I was ugly, from everybody outside of my tribe — from people that are inside of my tribe, at that.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Hayden Panettiere endured a mid-air emergency when her daughter took a pee on the floor of the plane’s bathroom floor.
The ‘Nashville’ star was travelling with her two-year-old daughter Kaya – her child with her with fiancé, former world heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko – when the toddler had to use the rest room.
However, the toilet trip turned turbulent when little Kaya had an accident before reaching the seat.
But Hayden didn’t stress and she and her daughter grabbed some tissues and set about cleaning up so the rest room was ready for the next user.
Tweeting about the mishap, Hayden posted a photo of her and Kaya on clean up duties.
The accompanying tweet read: “Aaaand then ur daughter pees on the floor of the airplane bathroom But look at that baby girl helping momma clean (sic)”
Previously, Hayden bravely opened up about having postpartum depression when Kaya was a baby but she thinks the experience has made her a “better mom”.
The 27-year-old actress said: “It takes you a while and you feel off. You don’t feel like yourself. Women are so resilient, and that’s the incredible thing about them. I think I’m all the stronger for it. I think I’m a better mom because of it because you never take that connection for granted.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Stacey Solomon will always be a “weird version” of herself after a previous relationship turned abusive.
The ‘Loose Women’ panellist may now be happily loved up with Joe Swash, whom she’s been dating for over a year now, but she has admitted she was once in a relationship with someone who shattered her confidence and made her feel so worthless that she doesn’t think she’ll ever be the same again.
Speaking on the lunchtime show on Monday (13.03.17), she explained: “I was in an abusive relationship and it makes you forget who you are… I’ll always be a weird version of myself…I used to be less worried about everything. Less worried about what people thought about me… I was OK, quite confident.
“You do begrudge that person for taking that away from you. These people manipulate you… When people are happy to wish you dead or tell you your career is nothing or you are nothing… It might be lots of small things. you don’t even realise it’s happening to your self until you realise.”
Stacey – who has sons, eight-year-old Zachary and Leighton, four, from two previous relationships – managed to break free of her abusive ex, whose identity is not known, and is now happy with actor Joe.
However, she hasn’t had much luck in the love department over the years as she caught the Human papillomavirus infection (HPV), which can lead to cervical cancer, from a mystery partner “a period of time ago” but, although there’s no treatment for it, her body should naturally clear the virus over time.
She said previously: “I just think the whole issue of finding out about your partner before you start engaging in sex is really important anyway because there’s so many things that you don’t know.
“For example, a period of time ago I was with somebody who I really liked, we ended up obviously doing the deed, I’m very prude […] and I was actually really upset to find out that after that [sex] had happened that person told me they had HPV and it was a serious strain of HPV, which causes cervical cancer.
“So I then went and had a smear test [a method of detecting abnormal cells on the cervix] and found out that I contracted it […] And I always practiced safe sex so I used condoms and I did all the things that I thought were the right things […] So I have the infection and hopefully my body will get rid of it eventually but I have to go six-monthly for smears.”
Although the blonde beauty felt “violated” at the time, she believes finding out she has the virus, of which there are over 100 strains, has made her even more vigilant.

OHMYGOSSIP — Charlize Theron had sparring sessions with Keanu Reeves to get fit for her new movie ‘Atomic Blonde’.
The 41-year-old beauty – who portrays female spy Lorraine Broughton in the forthcoming thriller – gets beat up by henchmen in the hotly-anticipated film and in preparation she has revealed she went to director David Leitch’s gym, where she bumped into the 52-year-old heartthrob, who was training for Leitch’s ‘John Wick: Chapter 2 2’.
Charlize said she felt “very macho” fighting against the hunk – who plays the titular lead part in ‘John Wick’ – and it they had so much fun.
During a Q&A for the premiere of ‘Atomic Blonde’ at SXSW Film Festival in Austin, Texas on Sunday (12.03.17), she said: “We would kind of spar with each other. I’d be like, ‘Come on, Keanu. Let’s take it down.’ S**t like that. It was very macho. It was great.”
The ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ star – who has two adopted children, four-year-old son Jackson and daughter August, who was born in 2015 – has found the fitness levels “so hard” and quipped that she looked like Big Bird from children’s television show ‘Sesame Street’ in the gym.
Asked what it was like training for the movie, she said: “It was so hard, are you kidding me?
“When [training] first started I was like, ‘This is never going to work, I look like Big Bird.'”
‘Atomic Blonde’, an adaptation of Antony Johnston’s 2012 graphic novel, ‘The Coldest City’, also stars James McAvoy and is scheduled for release in July.
It is set in Berlin in 1989 and sees Charlize’s alter-ego try and track down an espionage ring who are trying to take down her fellow agents.

OHMYGOSSIP — Isaac Hempstead Wright wants to start a band with his ‘Game of Thrones’ castmates.
The 17-year-old actor – who portrays Bran Stark in the fantasy drama series – thinks it would be “cool” to team up with his co-stars and make music together, though he thinks there could be some rows about the sort of material they would produce because they all have different tastes.
He said: “We’ve got Natalia Tena (Meera Reed), who has a band. Thomas Brodie-Sangster (Jojen Reed) is in a band, and he plays guitar.
“We’ve got Jacob Anderson, Grey Worm, who’s a rap artist. We’ve got DJs, too.
“Kristian Nairn (who played Hodor), of course, is a top-notch DJ, and he used to play the organ. So it’s quite nice.
“We used to joke that Bran and Hodor should start their own musical troupe, so how cool would it be if we formed a ‘Game of Thrones’ band?
“We need to get together and jam. Hodor and Bran and Jojen and Meera jamming along with Coldplay. That would be insane!
“The thing is, we’re all from very different musical backgrounds, so there might be some in-fighting there.”
However, Isaac – who plays piano – admits the thought of getting on stage is terrifying because he suffers from stagefright.
He told Vulture: “I do get terrible stage fright. I’ve been playing piano since I was eight or nine, but I hated it to begin with. My mom forced me to play it, and I was close to giving up, close to saying, ‘Stop making me do this. I hate it,’ and eventually it just clicked and I loved it, and it was my favourite thing in the world.
“I remember one occasion at school, playing a piece, and I was literally halfway through it, it was going really well, but then I messed it up a bit, and I just froze.
“It was one of the most mortifying moments I’ve ever had! And so I’m always quite anxious about performing in public.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Minnie Driver thought her son was an “unattractive baby”.
The 47-year-old actress admitted young Henry, now eight, wasn’t a particularly cute tot and even used to reassure her friends that they didn’t have to compliment him on his appearance.
She admitted: “He was a very unattractive baby.”
And she also told talk show host Ellen DeGeneres that she used to tell people: “You don’t have to tell me that he’s beautiful because I know he’s not, but I love him.”
But the ‘Good Will Hunting’ actress, who has raised Henry alone, is very proud of her son and thinks he is a “brilliant” musician.
She said: “He’s quite a brilliant musician.
“He plays the piano and he sings and he’s just learnt ‘Clocks’ by Coldplay and he plays music like Elton John.”
Elsewhere on the show, Minnie opened up about her three-year romance with Neville Wakefield, who she first met as a teenager and then reconnected with him 15 years later.
She said: “He was a really good friend of mine’s boyfriend and he and I became really good friends and they… it didn’t work out and then he married somebody else and we had this whole life in between.”
And the British beauty quickly recognised him from behind as he walked by her on the beach, despite not having seen him for so long.
She noted: “And that was it then really.”
The ‘Sleepers’ star previously admitted saw was disappointed her father Ronnie, who passed away in 2009, never really got to know Neville as her boyfriend but she knows he would have approved of him.
She said: “I was always sad that my dad was never gonna know the guy I would end up with, because he passed away, but dad loved Neville.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Meg Matthews enjoyed a teetotal 51st birthday bash in London after giving up alcohol for good.
The ex-wife of rock star Noel Gallagher spent the landmark occasion at Camden nightspot Gilgamesh, but Meg – who was previously known for her boozy nights out with model Kate Moss – stuck to drinking water for the evening.
A source said: “Meg has taken on an entirely new lifestyle. She’s eating healthily and isn’t drinking any alcohol.”
And apparently Meg isn’t the only one of her friends who has vowed to stay clear of alcohol for the time being.
The insider told The Sun newspaper: “The entire Primrose Hill set have extended Dry January into March and are feeling great for it.”
Meanwhile, Noel – who was married to Meg from 1997 until 2001 – previously admitted that his current wife Sara MacDonald “wouldn’t have lasted 10 minutes” at the height of his party-loving days.
Noel, who shares a 17-year-old daughter called Anais with Meg, said: “I’ve said to Sara many times: she wouldn’t have lasted 10 minutes in the 90s. All the scene around my house would have devoured her.
“She was too pretty for the 90s. There was too much chaos and drugs and all that kind of thing. And I met her just at the right time – I’d given up drugs, my first marriage had pretty much broken down and there she was.”
Noel has two sons, Donovan and Sonny, with his wife – and admitted his lifestyle in the 90s wasn’t conducive to starting a family.
The former Oasis rocker, who tied the knot for a second time in 2011, explained: “You’re supposed to have one-night stands in Ibiza, you’re not supposed to get a girlfriend, far less a wife, far less two f**king children.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Paul Burrell insists his ex-wife always knew he was attracted to men.
The 58-year-old former royal butler – who is preparing to marry his partner Graham Cooper – says former spouse Maria knew of his “lifestyle” before they wed in 1994 but was happy to go ahead with tying the knot as he had feelings for her too.
Paul – who has sons Nick, 24, and Alex, 27, with his ex-wife – said: ” She wanted it to be for life [but] I think she went into it with her eyes wide open.
“She knew of me in the palace and she knew my lifestyle.”
But asked if that meant she knew he was gay before they married, he added: “I don’t like that word, gay. What’s gay? I think there’s a sliding scale of black to white, we’re all on there somewhere.
“Yes I was attracted to men and she knew, but I was also attracted to women and we had a wonderful life.”
And Paul – who was separated from Maria for a decade before they officially divorced last year – has no regrets about his marriage.
Speaking on UK TV show ‘This Morning’, he said: “My golden years were marrying Maria and having our boys, I will never regret that. I would not want to turn the clock back and change it, that’s who I am.”
Paul admitted it was very hard to discuss his sexuality with his sons, but he is adamant it doesn’t change who he is to them or Maria.
He said: “How do you, as a father, tell your children. I loved my wife, I still love my wife, I love my boys, they’re the best thing that ever happened.
“To sit with them and talk about my sexuality, to cry with them and say ‘This is your dad, I’m not going to change, I’ll always be here for you’.
“I said that to my wife, ‘I’m your best friend, I’ll always look after you, I’ll always look out for you.’ ”
Despite previous reports Paul had confided in the late Princess Diana about his sexuality, he insists he never “explicitly” told her he was attracted to men, but didn’t think he needed to have the conversation.
He said: “I never had that conversation with her, I was never explicit, I was a great source of what to wear and when to wear it, I did great flower arrangements. It didn’t have to be said. I think Diana was a very good judge of character.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Rochelle Humes has framed her baby daughter’s dehydrated umbilical cord.
The 27-year-old beauty gave birth to her second child, Valentina Raine, last week and has since taken to Instagram to reveal she’s had her baby’s umbilical cord shaped into the word ‘love’ and framed.
Alongside an eye-catching snap of the umbilical cord, which also features some placenta pills, Rochelle wrote: “After being very curious I took the plunge, so excited to feel the benefits.. (sic)”
The former Saturdays star also took to Twitter to thank her fans for their support and kind messages.
She wrote on the micro-blogging site: “Thanks for all of your lovely msgs. Valentina has settled in SO well. In love with my little family more than ever #blessed (sic)”
Rochelle even found time to poke fun at her husband Marvin, observing that the former JLS star will now have three women to contend with at home.
She quipped: “In other news, Marvin doesn’t stand a chance 3 women in the house, poor lad (sic)”
Prior to giving birth, Rochelle – whose first daughter, Alaia-Mai, was born in May 2013 – revealed her second pregnancy had been “horrible”.
She shared: “I’ve felt really fine the whole way through, but the end of this pregnancy has been horrible. I’m a bit over it now.
“I’m tired and I’m really uncomfortable in the night, and I don’t remember feeling this bad at the end last time.
“My body’s let me do everything I’ve needed to do throughout this pregnancy and now it just needs to feel a bit bad for a while!”
Rochelle also explained why the couple decided against finding out the sex of their baby beforehand.
She said: “Just because I’ve always said that we’ll probably have two kids, so this’ll be the last time we’ll have a little one and we didn’t have the surprise last time.
“I was made up that I had a girl; if I had a boy last time I’d probably want to find out because I’d be desperate to have a girl by now, like every woman.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Naomi Campbell felt “humbled” by her recent visit to a Syrian refugee camp.
The 46-year-old supermodel met children at the Za’atari Refugee Camp in Jordan and subsequently admitted to feeling inspired by the children she had encountered, including 13-year-old Nida, who has lived in the temporary city in the Jordanian desert for the past three years.
She said: “Nida has such resilience. I found her to be such an inspiration.”
Naomi, who has travelled to Za’atari with Save the Children to meet children who have escaped the Syrian war, admitted the trip had made a real impression on her.
She told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “I’ve met some amazing people who had to flee their country because of war.
“They are very proud and dignified, they are not looking for sympathy.
“They are happy to be here living in peace after living through such terror. I’ve seen not one person complain.
“I’ve met children so traumatised they can’t speak any more. They have had to learn to speak again. I’ve seen a lot of people give each other strength and hope. I’ve met a lot of smart people.
“I didn’t have any expectations about coming here, but I’m so humbled and honoured to be welcomed into people’s homes which are spotless, full of pride.”
Naomi also admitted to learning much more from the refugees than she does in her day-to-day life.
She said: “I don’t come here to hang out with posh people. I learn so much more from people I meet in refugee camps.”
The British star revealed, too, that she loves the calming nature of the desert in Jordan, where the refugees are temporarily housed.
She explained: “I love the desert here. I find it a very spiritual, calming place.”

OHMYGOSSIP — George Michael’s grave has been put under round-the-clock guard.
The family of the ‘Careless Whisper’ hitmaker – who passed away from natural causes on Christmas Day (25.12.16) aged 53 – are reportedly fearful of people stealing tributes left by friends and relatives at Highgate Cemetery, north London, and have therefore decided to increase security around the burial site.
The family have also remained tight-lipped regarding the date of George’s funeral, conscious that a string of anticipated celebrity guests, such as Sir Elton John, Martin Kemp and ex-Wham! star Andrew Ridgeley, could cause the event to descend into a circus, according to the Daily Star newspaper.
Meanwhile, George is reported to have left his £10 million London mansion to his older sister Melanie, 55.
Melanie is thought to have already moved into the home whilst she plans the funeral of the ex-Wham! star.
A source said: “George was very close to his whole family but he had a particularly special bond with Melanie, who was by his side at the height of his fame.
“She adores the Highgate house, one of the first he bought. They shared some wonderful times there and it has a special place in her heart. Melanie is staying there at the moment while she organises the funeral.”
It has been reported, too, that George is set to be buried next to his mother Lesley – who passed away in 1997 – in a specific plot at Highgate Cemetery.
A source previously said: “Lesley was George’s world so it is fitting that they should now be together. George would always make a big deal out of Mother’s Day.
“He loved her so much and he would spend a lot of time talking to her there. The cemetery has a very special place in his heart.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Jai Courtney’s girlfriend Mecki Dent is the woman of his “dreams”.
The 30-year-old actor has admitted to being madly in love with the blonde beauty, who he has been dating for two years, and Jai revealed he hopes to spend the rest of his life with her.
The Hollywood hunk shared: “I feel I’ve met the woman of my dreams and this is it, I hope.”
Despite his enviable good looks, the rugged actor – who has previously starred in ‘Divergent’, ‘Jack Reacher’ and ‘Suicide Squad’ – also admitted to harbouring doubts about whether he would make it in the movie business.
However, Jai said he took inspiration from fellow Australian actors Hugh Jackman, Russell Crowe and Sam Worthington as he sought to establish himself in the industry.
He told GQ Australia magazine: “Being a guy who’d come up around sport and hung out with guys of that nature … I genuinely thought it was all playing against my ability to get into theatre and study this stuff.”
But Jai admitted that the success of his countrymen – all of whom are known for being brawny – served as an inspiration to him.
He said: “I found it comforting to look at them and see that you could be a bloke, and it could f***ing work for you.

Meanwhile, Jai previously revealed he undertook a rigorous fitness regime in order to get in shape to star as Captain Boomerang in ‘Suicide Squad’.

OHMYGOSSIP — Kim Kardashian West feared she would be “shot in the back” if she tried to escape her Paris robbers.
The 36-year-old reality star suffered a harrowing ordeal when masked raiders tied her up in her bathroom and stole her jewellery from her apartment during Paris Fashion Week last October and has opened up about the traumatic experience on ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’, admitting she felt she had “no way out”.
In a preview clip for next week’s episode, Kim told her sisters Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian: “They ask for money. I said ‘I don’t have any money.’
“They dragged me out to the hallway, on top of the stairs. That’s when I saw the gun like, clear as day. I was kind of looking at the gun, looking down back at the stairs…
“I had a split second in my mind to make this quick decision.
“Am I gonna run down the stairs… Either they’re gonna shoot me in the back, or if I make it and they don’t, if the elevator does not open in time, or the stairs are locked, then like, I’m f***ed. There’s no way out.”
Kim’s mother, Kris Jenner, previously admitted she felt filming ‘KUWTK’ was theraputic for her daughter as she was able to properly explain to her family what had happened.
Kris said: “When we started filming again and getting up and running, you know obviously Kim was around because we all practically live together on the street. And we started filming and what was coming out of that was very therapeutic for her, I think. To just explain to us and walk us through.”
Because of what happened to Kim – who has children North, three, and Saint, 14 months, with husband Kanye West – Kris admitted the entire family have made huge changes to their lives and grown more security-conscious.
She added: “She just thinks that it might bring some awareness.
“You know, it’s changed the way we live our lives and just the way we take care of our kids and our grandchildren. So it’s been a process.
“I locked all the doors and changed the locks cause I’m afraid.”
But Kris admitted she finds it difficult to watch the show footage of her daughter discussing her ordeal.
She said: “I was watching it and I was balling – balling when I saw it. “And I just saw some of it. I couldn’t even watch the whole thing it was so upsetting. It was such an upsetting time and something so awful happened to somebody you love so much. And it’s just like it chokes me up every time to think about it.
“No one can get through the first few minutes without getting hysterical. Like, I get choked up just thinking about it and talking about it. But its remarkable to listen to her tell the story and she does that … moment by moment.”
