Hugh Jackman jokingly agrees with Martha Stewart’s ‘not funny’ comment about pal Ryan Reynolds

OHMYGOSSIP — Hugh Jackman has jokingly agreed with Martha Stewart after she branded his friend and co-star Ryan Reynolds “not funny”.
The ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’ star wasn’t impressed when the 83-year-old lifestyle guru – who he lives close to in Bedford, New York – claimed his wisecracking ways were part of an act but joked it wouldn’t be wise to “disagree” with her.
Martha admitted she was “going to get in trouble” when she dissed “serious” Ryan.
Asked during an appearance on Bilt Rewards’ ‘Rent Free’ game show which top three celebrities would be the most fun to hang out with, she mused: “He’s probably on the list just ‘cause he covers himself up in his movies and you don’t see his face — Ryan Reynolds, is he one of those?
“And you want to know something? He’s not so funny in real life. No, he’s not so funny. He’s very serious.
“He’s a good actor.
“He can act funny, but he isn’t funny. Maybe he can get to be funny again.
“I’m going to get in trouble. He’s my neighbour.”
Responding to Martha’s viral comments, the 48-year-old actor wrote on X: “I’d disagree with her. But I tried that once.
“The woman is unexpectedly spry. She really closed the gap after a mile or so.”
And now, Hugh, 56, who often playfully mocks his Marvel co-star, has reacted with the quip: “Finally someone says it.”
Ryan and his actress wife Blake Lively, 37, own a $2 million home near Martha’s 153-acre property, and became friends with the couple as soon as they bought their house in her neighbourhood.
She told the HuffPost in 2014: “(Blake) moved into my neighbourhood a couple of years ago with Ryan – before they got married, they bought a house right around the corner from my house.
“And they started to come over, not to borrow sugar, but just as friends.
“They’re very friendly, very nice people. In a way, kind of shy – not shy on the screen, at all, if you’ve seen any of Blake’s movies – but very shy in person.”

Alicia Keys warns of a ‘cruel tomorrow’ for Americans if Donald Trump is made president again

OHMYGOSSIP — Alicia Keys has warned Americans not to “turn back the clock” by voting for Donald Trump.
The ‘Empire State of Mind’ hitmaker took to the stand to support Kamala Harris at the Vice President’s rally in Pennsylvania on Saturday (02.11.24) and said a vote for Trump or not voting at all in the November 5 election will lead to a “cruel tomorrow”.
She said: “If you don’t vote for her, or you don’t vote at all, you’re voting for the chaos and the hate.
“You’re voting for a cruel tomorrow for immigrants, people of colour, women, girls, our children and our planet.”
Alicia says voting for the first Black female president will inspire future generations from underrepresented backgrounds.
She went on: “It’s crazy because too many people think women can’t lead just because they haven’t seen enough of it. When our kids look around their classrooms at the pictures of presidents on the wall, every single one is a man, one Black guy. No wonder it is hard for many to imagine a female president. They have never seen one, and if they can’t see it, how can they believe it?”
The 43-year-old singer insisted women’s rights are at stake if Republican Trump is re-elected.
Referring to Roe. vs. Wade being overturned in 2022 – leaving millions of women in the US without the constitutional right to abortion – she said: “That’s why we can’t get comfortable, because they’re already starting to take those rights away. If it’s been done already with Roe. vs. Wade, what makes us think that there couldn’t be a leader in place for the other side that would say, ‘Forget equal pay. Women don’t need it. Or, ‘We don’t need to educate women anymore. They can just stay at home. They don’t work anyway.’”
Alicia warned: “This is not some dystopian Netflix show that I am talking about. This is like the platform the other side is running on. They want to turn back the clock.”

Kylie Minogue misses the ’90s: ‘There were no mobile phones, I wasn’t on social media…’

The 56-year-old pop superstar enjoyed great success in the late 1980s with her bubblegum pop career before branching out branched out into a more Indie style with hits like ‘Confide In Me’ and admitted that she yearns to relive everything about the culture of that time, especially without the pressures of social media.
Speaking to The Times newspaper, she said: “I miss almost everything about the 1990s.
“There were no phones, dance music was going nuts and I was in it and among it, going to the clubs, going to fashion shows, pounding the pavement, going to markets.
“I wasn’t wasting time scrolling on socials or dealing with, like, adulting. So there’s a lot I miss. Overall just freedom.”
The ‘Spinning Round’ legend also noted that if she could tell her younger self anything, it would be to “trust her instinct.”
She added: “Also I’d say, ‘Have fun. There’s a lot to come, there will be a lot of obstacles and if you can’t go over them you’ll find a way under them or around them. You’ll find a way’.”
In 2023, Kylie split from her boyfriend Paul Solomons after five years together and she has since amassed huge success on both sides of the Atlantic with her ‘Tension’ albums but insisted that while she is single at the moment, she is “happier than ever” with how things are.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper, she said: “There’s no one significant in my life and I feel content. I feel like this is my ¬destiny right now.”
When the interviewer commented that Kylie seems to be “owning it” without a partner, she replied: “Yes, that’s fair to say. I am in that lane of life.”
However, she admitted that she is always open to love.
She said: “But if there is a best friend who turns up and says to me, ‘You’ve got to meet this person’, then why not?”
In new track ‘Someone For Me’, she sings: “Yeah, you look happy, but do you have someone for me? To be the one, to turn me on. That’s what I need. Do you have someone for me?”
But, when asked if the song was autobiographical, Kylie responded: “No. I think ‘Someone For Me’ is very clever songwriting. I can really picture the story and I love twists like, ‘I really want you to be happy but do you have someone for me?’”

OHMYGOSSIP — Olivia Rodrigo has revealed the question she asks on a first date.

During an interview with Netflix posted on Instagram, she said: “The biggest red flag, okay, this is a very oddly specific question that I ask guys on first dates, I always ask them if they would want to go to space.
“And if they say yes, I don’t date them.
“I just think if you want to go to space, you’re a little too full of yourself.”

Harry Potter star Matthew Lewis speaks out on the ‘pitfalls’ of child stardom

OHMYGOSSIP — Matthew Lewis thinks he managed to “avoid the pitfalls” of child stardom.
The 35-year-old actor rose to fame when he was cast in the ‘Harry Potter’ film series alongside Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint and explained that because he entered showbiz amongst a cohort of other young actors, they were able to navigate sudden fame together.
Speaking at Rhode Island Comic-Con on Sunday (03.11.24), he explained: “We’re very good at hiding all of those stories. Although, that said, I was very excited about the prospect. I have quite a short attention span, so that’s probably why I’ve never chosen a real career.
“[After] 10 years in Harry Potter, I was ready to do something else and also was not keen to do anything that was going to lead to multiple series.
“One of the questions that was asked earlier about the pitfalls of being a child actor that we seem to have avoided, I would posit that a large degree of that was because we were all there together.”
“Frequently, you hear many stories of how they were the sole actor in that movie and having to carry that movie on their own and all of the pressures and anxieties that come with that. Whereas, we were all kind together.”
The ‘Baby Done’ star is still in touch with his peers from the film series – which was based on the books by J.K. Rowling and was filmed over the course of a decade from 2000 until 2010 – and claimed that his relationships from the are what he has “carried with” him to this day.
He said: “It’s one of the things that I’ve carried with me is those friendships. I don’t go back and read the books. One of the only things that I still kind of hold onto is those relationships that we forged throughout those films.”

He co-wrote and produced the charity single ‘We Are The World’ and was a successful composer on dozens of film scores.

Pamela Anderson returned to Canada to rediscover herself

OHMYGOSSIP — Pamela Anderson moved back to Canada to rediscover herself.
The 57-year-old actress left Hollywood for Vancouver Island, British Columbia, in 2020 and she decided to relocate in order to reconnect with the person she really is away from the expectations of others.
Speaking to Women’s Wear Daily (WWD), she said: “I guess a homecoming, you could say, to really kind of look at my life and remember who I was — not what other people were telling me I was.
“And I didn’t want anything that had happened to me to define me.
“I wanted what I do to define me… all these realisations came to me in the rose garden.”
The ‘Baywatch’ star has recently enjoyed a career resurgence, with new movie ‘The Last Showgirl’ and an upcoming role in the new ‘Naked Gun’ film, and she is “embracing” the fact her “time” is now.
She said: “I don’t know how I pulled this off.
“Just like this movie I’m doing, I don’t know how I pulled it off either. I just feel like the stars have aligned, and if you just believe in yourself long enough … always keep that little fire burning.
“You know, timing is everything. So this seems to be my time, so I’m embracing it.”
Previously, Pamela admitted she wasn’t “in a good place” when she returned to Canada.
Speaking to Better Homes and Gardens magazine in September, she said: “I don’t know what happened over the last few decades, but I feel now so far removed from the image of who I was.
“I felt very sad and lonely. I didn’t feel just misunderstood, I felt like I had really screwed up, that my whole life was a bundle of mistakes. I was hard on myself, and I thought I put my family through a lot and put my kids through so much.”
Pamela – who has two sons, Brandon, 28, and Dylan, 26, with her ex-husband Tommy Lee – spent the first few years after the move self-reflecting.
She added: “It took me a couple years of transitioning and thinking.
“I was finally able to sit with myself.”

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs wants potential witnesses stopped from giving interviews

OHMYGOSSIP — Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs has asked a judge to stop potential witnesses speaking out about the allegations against him.
The 54-year-old rapper – who was arrested in September over charges of sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation to engage in prostitution, and is also facing a number of civil lawsuits – and his legal team filed a motion on Sunday (03.11.24) asking the court to expedite the process of responding to the request to restrict statements made outside of court, citing one potential witness in particular.
According to TMZ, a man named Courtney Burgess has given multiple interviews in recent days, including speaking to them with his lawyer, Ariel Mitchell, on Thursday (31.10.24), and the ‘I’ll Be Missing You’ hitmaker insisted his statements have been untrue and defamatory.
Ariel told TMZ Courtney had been called to testify because he has, or has seen, salacious videos of the disgraced music mogul and his celebrity friends but Combs’ lawyers specifically cited information in articles from another outlet that erroneously stated the rapper’s so-called ‘Freak Offs’ involved “men” and “parties”.
According to the legal documents, the government has been investigating the rapper for almost a year and know the alleged Freak Offs didn’t involve men, minors, or parties, and by not treating such claims as an “extortion scam”, online conspiracies are being further fuelled and the lawyers argued it is growing impossible for their client to receive a fair trial as a result.
Combs has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing since he was arrested on a federal indictment in September.
He is being held without bail after pleading not guilty.
And a few weeks ago, he insisted the “truth will prevail” after six new civil lawsuits were filed, with four including male accusers and one alleged victim stating he was 16 years old when he was invited to one of Combs’ parties in 1998.
In a statement, the musician’s lawyers said: “The press conference and 1-800 number that preceded today’s barrage of filings were clear attempts to garner publicity.
“Mr Combs and his legal team have full confidence in the facts, their legal defenses, and the integrity of the judicial process.
“In court, the truth will prevail: that Mr Combs has never sexually assaulted anyone — adult or minor, man or woman.”

Ben Affleck praises ‘spectacular’ Jennifer Lopez

OHMYGOSSIP — Ben Affleck has praised “spectacular” Jennifer Lopez.
The 52-year-old actor – whose estranged wife filed for divorce three months ago after just two years of marriage – and his friend Matt Damon’s Artists Equity have produced the 55-year-old singer-and-actress’ new movie ‘Unstoppable’, and despite their personal turmoil, the ‘Accountant’ star is still a fan of Jennifer’s work.
Asked about the film’s early positive reviews, Ben compared it to his other current project, the Cillian Murphy-starring ‘Small Things Like These’, and told ‘Entertainment Tonight’: “’Unstoppable’ is a very different movie than this but in a way it’s similarly rooted in the passion of really talented artists.
“[Director] Billy Goldenberg and Jennifer [Lopez] and Don Cheadle and Jharrel [Jerome], and Bobby Cannavale, all were really passionate about this film…
“Jennifer is spectacular.
“[‘Unstoppable’ is] another one that we’re really really proud of. We believed in the right people [in ‘Small Things Like These’] and ‘Unstoppable’ is another example of that.”
Last month, the ‘Hustlers’ actress admitted ending her marriage to Ben almost took her out “for good” but she doesn’t regret her decision.
Jennifer – who was previously married to Ojani Noa, Cris Judd, and Marc Anthony – told Nikki Glaser in a conversation for Interview magazine: “I was thinking about this time in my life, and I’m like, ‘That’s not what I thought it was going to turn out like.’ And then I thought, ‘No, this is exactly where I needed to be, to lead me to where I want to go.'”
Asked if she doesn’t regret the pain she went through, she added: “Not one second. That doesn’t mean it didn’t almost take me out for good. It almost did.
“But now, on the other side of it, I think to myself, ‘F***, that is exactly what I needed. Thank you, god. I’m sorry it took me so long. I’m sorry that you had to do this to me so many times. I should have learned it two or three times ago. I get it. You had to hit me really hard over the head with a f****** sledgehammer. You dropped the house on me. Don’t have to do it again.’ ”
The ‘On the Floor’ hitmaker – who didn’t mention Ben by name throughout the interview – admitted it has been “f****** hard” being along and there are times she has felt “sad” and “desperate” but she knows she will be fine on her own.

Pharrell Williams feared a documentary about himself would be uninteresting

OHMYGOSSIP — Pharrell Williams declined the chance to make a conventional documentary about his life because he feared it would be boring.
The 51-year-old musician is the focus of ‘Piece by Piece’, an animated story of his life and career – but Pharrell has admitted that he only committed to the project after he was convinced by the concept.
During an appearance on ‘The Graham Norton Show’, he explained: “I do things that I am curious and enthusiastic about and a documentary about me is not interesting, so I said no at first. Then my very persistent agent said I could do it what any way I wanted.
“When I said I wanted to do it with the best documentary-maker Morgan Neville and for him to tell it anyway he wanted, but in Lego, my agent said, ‘No, no, no.’ But then everyone said yes.
“This project is the sum of lots of yeses and is what impossible looks like. Whether you are eight or 80 it’s not too late to build your dream piece by piece.”
Meanwhile, Pharrell recently admitted that ‘Piece by Piece’ enabled him to reflect on his experiences with a fresh perspective.
The ‘Happy’ hitmaker told Britain’s HELLO! magazine: “Essentially, this movie is my dissertation on my humility. I spent most of my time being arrogant, pompous, incredibly cocky, braggadocious. That was my musical environment and that’s what I thought I needed to be.
“When I turned 40, the universe humbled me. I realised that it wasn’t all about me and I was part of a bigger equation, and was lucky not to be a word or a sentence, but just to be punctuation.
“The minute that dawns on you, you realise you’re so lucky to be in that conversation. Humility is how you get to that place.”

Lily Collins: The West End has always been my dream

OHMYGOSSIP — Lily Collins is fulfilling a “dream” by performing in London’s West End.
The 35-year-old actress has made her stage debut in ‘Barcelona’ as Irene, an American tourist who has a one-night stand, and Lily has admitted that she’s relishing the experience of performing in London.
The actress – who is the daughter of musician Phil Collins and his second wife, Jill Tavelman – told WhatsOnStage: “The West End has been my dream … this originally had an offer for something in New York, a play, and I asked our writer if she could hold out and see if we can get it on the West End first, because my dream is the West End. She graciously said yes and now we’re here.”
Lily – who was born in England but raised in Los Angeles – still has fond memories of watching plays and musicals on Broadway.
However, she’s loving the challenge of performing in the West End, explaining that she’s “trying to seize the moment”.
The actress – who is, perhaps, best known for her starring role in ‘Emily in Paris’ – shared: “I grew up seeing plays and musicals on Broadway, so … honestly, the stage is just a whole medium that I have always wanted to be a part of.
“As a community, it’s very specific – you either get the opportunity or you don’t, and so I’m just going with the flow and trying to seize the moment. We’ll see, but I’m just so focused on London, I love it here.”
Lily has actually been based in London over recent months, and she’s relaxed by “walking the dogs with [her] husband on Hampstead Heath”.
The actress – who is married to screenwriter Charlie McDowell – recently told the BBC: “I go there so often, it really is huge and it actually feels like countryside even though you’re in London.”

Joe Exotic would move to Mexico for fiance

OHMYGOSSIP — Joe Exotic will move to Mexico if his new fiance isn’t allowed to stay in the US.
The ‘Tiger King’ star – who is currently serving a 21-year prison sentence after being found guilty of a murder-for-hire plot against rival Carole Baskin – revealed earlier this week he has got engaged to fellow inmate Jorge Marquez and while he hopes making their union official will give his partner a reason not to be deported back to his home country, he is ready to follow him to South America if need be.
Joe told RadarOnline.com: “Whether it helps his immigration status or not, we love each other enough to get married. We even got tattooed matching wedding bands already on.
“What it would do is, it would assure him, and it would show the court, that he has a little bit of financial stability to stay in America.
“It’s gonna look better for his asylum case to be married. We’re just hoping that the prison will allow us to get married and stay in the same prison.”
He told the outlet that if he can’t get help from the government to “keep him here”, then “I guess I’m going to Mexico.”
Despite his lengthy sentence, the 61-year-old reality star – whose real name is Joseph Maldonado – is hopeful he will make progress with his appeal and not be in jail for long without Jorge, who only has a few months of his prison term left to serve.
Joe said: “He gets out in May of next year so that gives us seven months to get my appeal done and find out where I’m at. We’re hoping to be able to walk out the door close to the same time.”
Joe announced his engagement on X this week.
He shared a photo of them together on his X account and wrote: “Meet Jorge Marquez he is 33. He is so amazing and is from Mexico.
“Now, the quest of getting married in prison and getting him asylum or we be leaving America when we both get out. Either way, I wish I would have met him long ago.”
The former zookeeper then confirmed the news to Entertainment Weekly.
He told them in a phone call from prison: “We filed our official papers for the marriage license from the prison yesterday, so we’re just waiting for an approval. He has picked out December 12 as the date we’re hoping to get this approved by.”

Heidi Klum has lived ‘many lives before’

OHMYGOSSIP — Heidi Klum believes she has “lived many lives before”.
The 51-year-old supermodel – who has four children with ex-husband Seal and is married to Tom Kaulitz – admitted she is a “hoarder” because she can’t resist buying objects she believes she owned in her past lives, and thinks this is the first time she has been born as a woman.
She told The Times newspaper: “At work I’m very correct, straightforward and organised, but I’m super-messy at home. I’m a hoarder, so that’s a slight problem. I love flea markets and I’m always looking for things that belonged to me in the past. They talk to me.
“I have this weird idea that I’ve lived many lives before,” she says. “So I’ll look at something like that antique clock over there and feel that used to be mine and I want it. Our house has become like a museum over the years.”
Asked who she was in previous incarnations, she said: “I have always been men before —this is my first time as a woman.”
The ‘America’s Got Talent’ judge is fascinated by fortune telling and believes she is living out a prediction that was made when she was a teenager.
She said: “I get my palms, irises, feet, everything read. When I was 16 I had my future read and the astrologer said to me, ‘Millions of people will listen to what you have to say. ‘
“But I hadn’t even thought of being a model then or hosting Halloween parties. I just used to dream of having a big family, with a big house and garden, dogs and lots of kids. I’m lucky — I’ve got it all now.”
Meanwhile, Heidi credits her toned physique to her active sex life with her 35-year-old musician husband.
Asked how she stays in shape, she said: “Sport en chambre is my favourite exercise — it sounds better in French. I have a younger husband. I also run around a lot, having four kids. I don’t have an assistant, so I don’t have people pack for me or carry my things, I do everything myself.
“I eat right, I never exercise too much or do heavy weights. People can push themselves too hard. I listen to my body. I have no back or knee pain and I have my husband.
“[Sex is] very good. My husband is my match.”

Collins Dictionary names ‘brat’ word of the year after Charli XCX redefined the term with her album

OHMYGOSSIP — Brat has been named as the Collins Dictionary word of the year.
The term is defined as someone with a “confident, independent and hedonistic attitude” and has been inspired by Charli XCX’s album of the same name that was released in June.
The ‘brat summer’ became a cultural movement and the word was even adopted by US presidential candidate Kamala Harris in a bid to attract young voters at the start of her election campaign.
Collins’ lexicographers analyse social media and other sources to establish which terms should be added to their yearly list of new and notable words.
Other words to feature on the 2024 list include era – inspired by Taylor Swift’s tour – and delulu, a diminutive of the word delusional that is defined as being completely mistaken or unrealistic in terms of ideas and expectations.
Alex Beecroft, managing director at Collins, said: “With many of this year’s notable words being popularised by generations Z and Alpha, we can confidently say this is the most ‘brat’ Word of the Year list ever.”
The ‘Speed Drive’ hitmaker – whose real name is Charlotte Emma Aitchison – had enjoyed modest success in the music industry for almost a decade with tracks such as ‘Claws’ by the time she hit the big time with her chart-topping record ‘Crash’ in 2022.
Its follow-up – which was released in June – spawned the infamous term that has now ended up in the dictionary, and Charli, 32, previously explained that, to her, the term means a girl who is “volatile” and “honest” with herself.
Speaking in a video posed to TikTok, she explained: “You’re just like that girl who is a little messy and likes to party and maybe says some dumb things sometimes.
“Who feels like herself but maybe also has a breakdown. But kind of like parties through it, is very honest, very blunt.
“A little bit volatile. Like, does dumb things. But it’s brat. You’re brat. That’s brat.”

WWE legend Hulk Hogan reveals why a biopic about him starring Chris Hemsworth never happened

OHMYGOSSIP — Hulk Hogan pulled the plug on a movie about his life because he felt it was “too dark” for the screen.
The 71-year-old wrestling legend – whose real name is Terry Gene Bollea – spent years working with a writing team on a biopic and there was even talk of Hollywood star Chris Hemsworth playing him on screen but he decided to cancel the whole thing at the last minute despite its potential to win an Academy Award.
Speaking on the ‘PBD’ podcast, he explained: “I just was moving forward at the time and when they, business-wise, missed a date, there was an option for me to pull out and I did. I pulled out. I thought, ‘Oh my God, this is really good.’ At the time, I was in a space where I told him the positive stuff about wrestling and the negative stuff about wrestling.
“I spent about three years with this writer, going back and forth. When I read it, it was very, very dark, if that would be the right word, but it was probably what the public may want to see, you know?
