Sophie Turner learned to reach out for help

OHMYGOSSIP — Sophie Turner has learned to reach out to ask for help when she’s feeling depressed.
The 28-year-old actress admitted she used to go through “days [or] weeks-long ruts” when she would retreat away from the world, but she’s found if she “reaches out to a friend” it doesn’t take her long to pull herself out of her low mood.
Speaking on the ‘Run-Through with Vogue’ podcast, she said: “My problem is that I would isolate if I ever felt triggered … or depressed…
“[Now] I have these moments all the time where I get overwhelmed and anxious and depressed, and I pick up the phone to my friends, and I can get over it in about 20 minutes.”
The ‘Game of Thrones’ star has also learned to use coping mechanisms such as box breathing or tapping to get through the bad times.
She noted: “I’ve been very therapised.”
The ‘Joan’ actress has spoken about suffering from bulimia and while she often used to go down a “dark path” of “eating poorly or not eating at all”, she’s learned to take care of herself better after having Willa, three, and 10-month-old Delphine, her two daughters with former spouse Joe Jonas.
She said: “My body fed my child in my tummy, and it gave birth to the most amazing kids, the loves of my life.
“I want this body to be around as long as possible so I can spend time with my children for as long as possible. And so kids just gave me a whole new lease on life [and] wellness and, yeah, the importance of health and treating yourself with respect.
“I want them to see me feeding my body, and I want them to see me loving my body.”
If she’s having a bad day, Sophie turns to her most famous alter ego, ‘Games of Thrones’ Sansa Stark.
She said: “I’m always inspired. If I have a bad day, I’m like, Bring out your inner Sansa.”

The 29-year-old star and model Nina Agdal are expecting their first child together, and Logan has confessed to experiencing a range of emotions since they discovered that they were having a baby girl.
Speaking to ‘Extra’, Logan shared: “It took three days. I’ll be honest with you … It took three days before I was like, ‘This is awesome.’ The idea of having a girl now is awesome, I’m in love with it … I can’t imagine anything else.
“But at first it was a little daunting, you know.
“My mind got like, ‘I’m a guy, I know how like guys treat girls. It’s not always fair. Life is hard.’ And it took me a little bit to get over, but now I can’t imagine having anything else than a baby girl, and I couldn’t be more excited.”
Logan still has some concerns about raising a teenage daughter. But the influencer-turned-wrestler is now looking forward to the challenge of parenthood.
Logan – who began dating Nina in 2022 – shared: “I realised this, all of my concerns about being a girl dad are based around 14 to 15 years from now, right when she becomes like a teenager and is like, ‘I’m going to do what I want, Dad.’ That’s where my anxiety comes from, but it’s so far out from now and I think those first 13 years are really what matters, and it’s going to be the best time of our lives and now I’m excited.”
What’s more, Logan revealed that he’s already preparing for the arrival of his baby girl.
He said: “We have outfits. [Nina has] been ordering a lot of clothing.”

Billy Idol claims he was asked to be in Buffy the Vampire Slayer

OHMYGOSSIP — Billy Idol claims he was asked to play Spike in ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer’.
The 68-year-old rocker believes the spiky-haired vampire – who was ultimately played by James Marsters – in the hit TV series was entirely based on him and while he was keen to take on the role, his management felt it wouldn’t be the right career move.
Asked if he was flattered by the similarities between himself and Spike, he told The Guardian newspaper: “They wanted me to play Spike, to be quite honest. I wanted to do it because I believed I could learn to act by doing it.
“But my manager didn’t want me to do television. So I didn’t. But that’s exactly what they were doing: they were basing it on me.”
The ‘Rebel Yell’ hitmaker also missed out on playing the T-1000 in ‘Terminator 2: Judgment Day’ – a role that went to Robert Patrick – because he had been involved in a motorcycle accident and he still thinks it is a “shame” as he believes the role would have opened the door to great things.
He said: “I loved [director] Jim Cameron. I just know he would have got the performance out of me.
“I would have done whatever he said. It might have opened a lot more doors and it’s such a shame. But sometimes drug addiction messes things up. That’s what led to the motorcycle accident, really.”
Though the accident happened in 1990, Billy still feels the effects.
He said: “There’s something going on with my right foot. It’s not the same as my left foot. So there are ramifications from it, but you can fix them by wearing certain insoles in your shoes and things like that. The injury was in the middle of the lower part of my right leg, so it was something they could fix.”

John Krasinski’s children inspired IF

OHMYGOSSIP — John Krasinski’s new movie has been inspired by his children.
The 44-year-old actor wrote, produced and directed ‘IF’, a new live-action animated film, and John has revealed how his children inspired the project.
The Hollywood star – who has Hazel, ten, and Violet, seven, with his wife Emily Blunt – observed that his kids “disappear into a magical world that we, as parents, aren’t allowed into”.
Speaking to PEOPLE, John shared: “I said to Emily, ‘That would make an amazing movie.’”
John also recalled the COVID-19 pandemic being a turning point for his children.
He explained: “They started doing fewer imaginary games, and they started to let the real world in. They started asking bigger questions and then finally said, ‘Are we going to be okay?’
“I said to Emily, ‘That’s kind of the definition of growing up, isn’t it? When you let fear in?’ I thought, ‘I have to do this movie right now to show them that magical world they created, they can go back.'”
Ultimately, John’s children were actually pivotal in the production process of the film.
He said: “I was just sketching all the IFs as I was writing and I would show them. I’m a terrible artist, so then once I started interfacing with real artists and talking about how it would really look, they got really excited.”
Meanwhile, John also recalled how one of his daughters first discovered her “imaginary friend”.
The actor – who has been married to Emily since 2010 – said: “Hazel’s a very empathetic soul, and we were making s’mores one night, and her marshmallow burst into flames as they tend to do, and she was so destroyed that she had hurt some sort of creature.
“And I said, ‘Oh, no, no, that’s just his thing. He lights on fire and then he goes out and then he lights on fire and then he goes out.’ And she loved that idea, and so that became her imaginary friend.”

AI’s potential influence feels scary, says Caleb Followill

OHMYGOSSIP — Caleb Followill feels “scared” of artificial intelligence (AI).
The Kings of Leon star has confessed to feeling a “little nervous” about AI’s ever-increasing influence on the music industry – although Caleb joked that he’s “kind of an old man”.
Caleb, 42, told Sky News: “I am scared of it though, I think, maybe, a little bit.
“I’ve seen some stuff that makes me a little nervous.”
Caleb also feels that AI isn’t needed to recreate Kings of Leon.
He explained: “As far as music, it doesn’t take AI to sound like us, my god.
“We’re still learning how to play, so our skill level is still very much achievable by just human beings. It’s not going to take aliens or artificial intelligence.”
In 2021, Kings of Leon decided to embrace NFTs, which are a form of cryptocurrency that can be used to hold assets like music and art.
However, Caleb has now acknowledged that the band “never truly” understood the technology.
The singer shared: “Apparently it was something that was happening and maybe is still happening, I don’t know. I know it got us into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, which was cool. We were the first band to ever sell our music as an NFT, might be the only one, I don’t know.
“But we weren’t trying to push some new type of technology on people … it was just something that looked like that was kind of where things were headed. So, you know, why not be on the forefront of it?”
Meanwhile, Caleb hopes that the band’s new album, ‘Can We Please Have Fun’, will inspire “the next generation”.
He said: “I feel like at this point, the thing we’re trying to do is something that inspires the next generation.
“It’s kind of hard because people don’t really look to the grown-ups for answers. So we listen to the kids, we get inspired by what they’re doing.”

“I don’t feel like I’m modelling, but people keep telling me that I should do it again, so I’m thinking about maybe doing it, like, runway and stuff. We’ll see.”
Tyra subsequently joked that her age and her health issues could hinder her ambitions.
She said: “Hope that my hip is here for it and let’s hope that I can get the right lighting so the front of my thighs with the cellulite is not showing as much.
“We’ve come a long way when it comes to beauty empowerment and inclusivity, but y’all will still hate on me in the comments about the cellulite on the front of my thighs.”

“I think it was the morning before the shoot, we had an hour breakfast at the hotel and I just gave her advice, really deep, deep advice, career advice on how to take her stuff to even the next level … She’s like, ‘Thank you so much, thank you so much.’ I’m like, ‘No, thank you! You make me feel like I have something to offer to help you, so it makes me feel good’.”

Faye Dunaway opens up about being diagnosed with bipolar disorder

OHMYGOSSIP — Faye Dunaway has opened up about being diagnosed with bipolar disorder.
The 83-year-old ‘Bonnie and Clyde’ actress tells of her health woe in the new HBO documentary about her life titled ‘Faye’ and explains how she was put on medication for the condition after being probed by doctors.
She says in the movie: “I worked with a group of doctors who analysed my behaviour, who gave me prescriptions for pills they thought would be good for me. And that helped.
“So I am quieter. But throughout my career, people know there were tough times.”
Faye gained a reputation for being “difficult” in Hollywood – with her fellow acting veteran Bette Davis, who died aged 81 in 1989, once telling chat show host Johnny Carson she was “impossible” and “uncooperative” on set.
The ‘Chinatown’ star adds in her new film about her temperament: “I don’t mean to make an excuse about it, I am still responsible for my actions.
“But this is what I came to understand, was the reason for them. It’s something you need to be aware of, you need to try to do the right thing to take care of it.
“(My mental health is) a sensitivity and it’s something that is just a part of my makeup … Thank God there is medication and there are studies, and there are doctors who deal with this and I’ve been able to benefit from that. Medication is crucial and without it, you fall back into what is there psychologically and biologically.”
‘Faye’ is directed by Laurent Bouzereau, 62, and features interviews with actors Sharon Stone, 66, and Mickey Rourke, 71, as well as 55-year-old director James Gray.
The film tells of Faye’s childhood and rise to fame in classics including ‘Network’.
Her son Liam Dunaway O’Neill, 43, who Faye had with British photographer Terry O’Neill, 81, also appears in the documentary, saying: “If she wasn’t in so much pain, would she have been that good? You have to take the good with the bad, that’s just life.”

Amy Schumer praises Olivia Munn’s cancer bravery as she gets annual mammogram

OHMYGOSSIP — Amy Schumer got an annual mammogram due to Olivia Munn’s “bravery” in highlighting her breast cancer fight.
The 42-year-old comic paid tribute to the ‘Magic Mike’ actress, 43, after going for the check-up, while urging other women to follow her lead.
She said on her Instagram Story after her screen: “I love you @oliviamunn. I just got my annual mammogram because of your bravery. Schedule yours today.”
Mammograms involve an x-ray being taken of women’s breasts to flag any early signs of breast cancer, and can detect the disease up to three years before it can be felt.
Olivia has revealed her body is scarred with “divots and dents” in the wake of her breast cancer fight.
The actress had been due to shoot a sci-fi film in Germany this time last year, but instead had to go under the knife for a double mastectomy after oncologists discovered she was suffering stage 1 invasive cancer in both her breasts.
She told People about being left with “battle wounds” from the gruelling operation: “I have some divots and dents on one side of my body near where the lymph nodes were, and they had to really dig out.
“And I’ve been wearing some dresses on the red carpet that made me a little stressed out at times.”
Olivia – who has son Malcolm, two, with her 41-year-old comedian partner John Mulaney – added her make-up artist Diane Buzzetta, “learned how to do tattoo-type makeup” ahead of appearances including this year’s Oscars, at which she wore a halter-style chrome gown.
She said about preparing for the ceremony: “We’re trying to really cheat where the dents are and how to make it really smooth and cover up everything, so that I could wear it.
“It’s not something I can do by myself, but knowing that there’s that option for when I’m in front of the camera has made me feel a lot better about things.
“And then personally, the people in my life who see it don’t see them as imperfections. So, that’s a good feeling, too.”

King Charles making first trip abroad since cancer diagnosis to honour WWII veterans

OHMYGOSSIP — King Charles is making his first trip abroad since his cancer diagnosis.
The 75-year-old monarch, who has been receiving treatment for an undisclosed form of the disease, will travel to France to stand alongside Second World War veterans to mark 80 years since D-Day – while his eldest son Prince William, 41, joins world leaders on the Normandy beaches.
There had been uncertainty over whether Charles would be able to make the trip due to his cancer diagnosis – which emerged on February 5 – but it was revealed by Buckingham Palace on Friday (17.05.24) he will be in France on June 6 with his wife Queen Camilla, 76, for the Ministry of Defence and the Royal British Legion’s commemorative event at the British Normandy Memorial on the 80th anniversary of D-Day.
Charles took a step back from public royal duties as he underwent cancer treatment, but continued to work behind the scenes and hold small audiences.
He has also been regularly spotted attending church at weekends and greeted well-wishers after attending a mass on Easter Sunday.
Charles officially returned to outings on April 30, when he and Camilla visited a cancer hospital in London.
His wife commented the following day the king was “really thrilled to be out”.
Charles has kept a busy schedule in recent weeks, including a solo outing meeting staff and families of the Royal School of Military Engineering to appointing his heir William to a military position.
Camilla gave a quick update on her husband’s health during a garden party on Thursday (16.05.24) – telling guests Charles was “getting better”, before quipping: “Well, he would if he behaved himself.”
The queen and other royal family members have previously remarked Charles was disappointed to slow down on duties amid his cancer treatment.
William will be out on June 6 for two events – the Canadian commemorative ceremony at the Juno Beach Centre, Courseulles-sur-Mer, hosted by the Government of Canada, and the international commemorative ceremony at Omaha Beach, Saint Laurent sur Mer, where he will join more than 25 heads of state and veterans from around the world in marking the historic anniversary.

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs caught on camera beating ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura

OHMYGOSSIP — Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs was caught on camera beating, dragging and hurling an object at his then-girlfriend Cassie Ventura in 2016.
The scandal-hit rapper, 54, who was hit with allegations including physical abuse by singer Cassie, 37, in a November 2023 lawsuit, is seen launching the brutal attack in surveillance footage taken from a Los Angeles hotel hallway.
It was obtained by CNN, which said the altercation occurred at the now-closed InterContinental Hotel in Century City, California, on March 5, 2016.
The outlet reported: “The footage, compiled from multiple camera angles dated March 5, 2016, appears to show the rapper, producer and business mogul during an incident that, according to Ventura’s complaint, occurred at the now-closed InterContinental Hotel in Century City, Los Angeles.
“CNN verified the location based on publicly available photos of the former hotel’s interior.
“In the video, Ventura exits a hotel room and walks to a bank of elevators. Combs, holding a towel around his waist, runs down a hall after Ventura.
“He grabs her by the back of the neck and throws her to the floor. Still holding his towel closed with one hand, he then turns to kick her, the video shows.
“As Ventura is on the ground, Combs retrieves a purse and suitcase from the floor near the elevators.
“He turns around and kicks Ventura again as she lies motionless on the floor. About four seconds transpire between the two kicks, according to the video.
“He then briefly drags Ventura by her sweatshirt toward a room before walking away.
“Ventura is then seen slowly standing up. She gathers items from the floor and moves to pick up a phone on the hallway wall near the elevators.
“Combs, still in a towel and socks, returns. A mirror directly across from the security camera shows Combs appearing to shove Ventura.
“Seconds later, he sits down on a chair, grabs an object off a table and forcefully throws it toward Ventura.
“Combs is seen walking away, then turns toward Ventura once again when an elevator door opens and someone appears to exit.”
Cassie, who reached an undisclosed settlement with Combs after making allegations of abuse against him in 2023, declined to comment on the video obtained by CNN.
Her attorney Douglas H Wigdor, told the outlet: “The gut-wrenching video has only further confirmed the disturbing and predatory behaviour of Mr Combs. “Words cannot express the courage and fortitude that Ms Ventura has shown in coming forward to bring this to light.”
Cassie reached an undisclosed settlement with Combs shortly after she filed her suit last year and described the hotel altercation in the complaint.
According to the filing, while the two were inside the hotel room, Combs became “extremely intoxicated and punched Ms Ventura in the face, giving her a black eye”.
It added after he fell asleep, she attempted to leave the room, but he woke up and “followed her into the hallway of the hotel while yelling at her”.
It goes on to allege: “He grabbed at her and then took glass vases in the hallway and threw them at her, causing glass to crash around them as she ran to the elevator to escape.”
According to the complaint, Cassie eventually managed to get in the elevator, leave the hotel and call a cab, which took her to her apartment.
Cassie’s suit alleged Combs had paid the InterContinental $50,000 for the security footage from the incident.
Two days later, the pair – who dated on and off from 2007 to 2018 – were photographed together at the LA premiere of ‘A Perfect Match’.
Ben Brafman, an attorney for Combs, said in a statement on the day Cassie’s 2023 suit was filed: “Mr Combs vehemently denies these offensive and outrageous allegations.”
Since November, Combs has faced five other civil lawsuits accusing him of a range of sexual misconduct and other illegal activity.
He has denied the allegations, and the cases are still active.

Jessica Biel reveals reason she almost quit showbiz

OHMYGOSSIP — Jessica Biel would have quit showbiz if her show ‘The Sinner’ didn’t take off.
The actress, 42, struggled for years to land a hit series after she founded her production company Iron Ocean Studios two decades ago with her 48-year-old producer friend Michelle Purple.
She has now told ‘The Bright Side’ podcast about how things got so hard she considered giving up on the entertainment business: “Doors did not open at all, even being in the business for so long.
“I started it with (Michelle) when I was 22, and for the first 10 years, we had almost no success at all. We had a very challenging time getting any story told.”
Jessica added they persisted trying to get projects off the ground as they were involved in a “labour of love”, but admitted it was only when they built ‘The Sinner’ “from the ground up” that things started to change.
She said about launching the police procedural drama starring Bill Pullman: “When we were actually selling that show, Michelle and I looked at each other and she said, ‘If we don’t sell this show, I’m quitting.’
“And I said, ‘Me too, I’m quitting. I’m not doing this. I don’t know – if this show doesn’t sell, I don’t know what people want, I don’t know what to bring them. I don’t understand this business anymore. I just don’t get it anymore.’
“And then we sold it in the room.
“It was so weird.”
‘The Sinner’ made its debut in 2017 and ran for four seasons, landing Golden Globe nominations and huge audiences.
Jessica, who married singer Justin Timberlake, 43, in 2012, added the experience with her production company was “a very humbling experience”.
She went on: “I don’t find that my industry – or being an actor or producer – is easy in any way, shape or form.
“It is so much blood, sweat and tears that you put into getting these projects made, and so many of the things we work on never, ever come to fruition.”

Olivia Munn reveals her son was reason she documented brutal breast cancer battle

OHMYGOSSIP — Olivia Munn’s son was the reason she documented her brutal breast cancer fight.
The ‘Newsroom’ actress, 43, was diagnosed with bilateral breast cancer in April 2023 and shared her diagnosis on social media a year later, revealing in March she had a double mastectomy after an MRI found a fast-moving, aggressive form of the disease in both her breasts.
She has now told ‘Good Morning America’: “Cancer is the… that’s the word you don’t want to hear.
“There’s a lot of other things that you feel like you can beat, but you know cancer takes down a lot of people. And I just thought about my baby.”
Olivia was referring to her two-year-old son Malcolm who she shares with her 41-year-old comedian partner John Mulaney.
She added about why she wanted to “document” her cancer journey: “Well, because if I didn’t make it, I wanted my son when he got older to know that I fought to be here. That I tried my best.
“You want the people in your life… you want the people that maybe don’t understand what’s going on right to know that you did everything you could to be here.”
Olivia also told how part of the treatment for her ‘luminal B’ cancer was to suppress the production of hormones that causes it to grow, leading to her being put in a medically induced menopause that prevented her from spending time with her boy.
She added: “The hormone suppression therapy is brutal and it gave me next level debilitating exhaustion.
“I was just in bed all day long, all day long, and my quality of life was so minimal and I wasn’t able to be there for my baby.
“Whenever Malcolm would come into the home he’d run straight to my bed because that’s where he knows I am, like that’s what he associated with me.
“And that was just too difficult for me to take. I had to find out if there was another option.”
Olivia decided to get a hysterectomy and ovariectomy but wanted to do an egg retrieval before the surgeries so that she and John could still have the option to have more children.
She added: “John and I had a long talk about it. We realized that we weren’t done growing our family.
“That’s a scary process because I have a cancer that feeds off of hormones so I knew there was a risk and our doctor said, ‘Look, we’re gonna get one for you and then we’re gonna call it.’
“And then our doctor called and he said, ‘Hey we got the results back. It’s two healthy embryos, and I… I mean we just started bawling, crying, both of us.”
Olivia underwent four surgeries in 10 months amid her cancer journey, which she said was made “terrifying” by also being a mum.

Cher and son Elijah Blue Allman reach agreement amid bitter conservatorship case

OHMYGOSSIP — Cher has reached a temporary agreement with her son Elijah Blue Allman amid their bitter conservatorship case.
The ‘Believe’ singer, 77, and the 47-year-old attended a private mediation session earlier this month, where it emerged on Friday (17.05.24) they had agreed to “pause all legal proceedings” and “related activities, including all discovery and motion practice” to allow them to “continue working together to privately and confidentially resolve this matter”.
A hearing set for June 11 in their case has now been moved to September 13 so Cher and Elijah can continue to navigate their issues.
Court documents revealed the development months after Cher’s request for conservatorship over her son was denied by a judge in Los Angeles.
At the time, the singer had filed an emergency request for Elijah to be placed under a temporary emergency conservatorship – claiming she “feared that her son would not be alive within the year”.
Cher’s lawyers cited his treatment for schizoaffective disorder and revealed that in the past year he has been placed in several 5150s – a California legal code which allows a person with a mental illness to be involuntarily detained for a 72-hour psychiatric hospitalisation.
A judge ruled against the proposal as Elijah proved he had “managed his finances”, has an apartment and “remained drug free” after submitting “several drug tests” during the proceedings.
The judge also ruled there was not “sufficient evidence” to agree to the temporary conservatorship, as much of what the mum and son were arguing was based on “fears” and hypotheticals.
Elijah last month filed an objection and outlined the reasons why he found a conservatorship unnecessary.
