Kourtney Kardashian opens up about her IVF struggles

OHMYGOSSIP — Kourtney Kardashian suffered five “failed IVF cycles” before giving birth to her baby boy.
The 45-year-old star has opened up about her IVF struggles during a Q and A with fans on Instagram.
Kourtney – who has Rocky, six months, with husband Travis Barker – said on the photo-sharing platform: “I stopped after a year of trying (5 failed IVF cycles, 3 retrievals) my body relaxed and I believed in God’s plan for my life. Lots of prayers for whatever was meant to be for us. Also lots of optimizing my health. [prayer and heart emoji] I know how hard it is to feel like you’re not trying, but believing in God’s plan and saying your prayers is so powerful. (sic)”
Kourtney was forced to undergo emergency fetal surgery prior to giving birth to her youngest son in 2023.
The brunette beauty – who also has Mason, 14, Penelope, 11, and Reign, nine, with Scott Disick – wrote on Instagram at the time: “I will be forever grateful to my incredible doctors for saving our baby’s life. I am eternally grateful to my husband who rushed to my side from tour to be with me in the hospital and take care of me afterwards, my rock. And to my mom, thank you for holding my hand through this.
“As someone who has had three really easy pregnancies in the past, I wasn’t prepared for the fear of rushing into urgent fetal surgery. I don’t think anyone who hasn’t been through a similar situation can begin to understand that feeling of fear. I have a whole new understanding and respect for the mamas who have had to fight for their babies while pregnant.
“Praise be to God. Walking out of the hospital with my baby boy in my tummy and safe was the truest blessing. [prayer and heart emojis] (sic)”

Family of General Hospital star Johnny Wactor reveals his final act of bravery before he was shot

OHMYGOSSIP — Johnny Wactor saved his co-worker’s life when he was shot to death over the weekend.
The actor was best known for his role in US soap opera ‘General Hospital’ but died Saturday (25.05.24) after being fatally shot at the age of just 37 and now, in a description that matches that of an incident shared by the Los Angeles Police Department, his brother Grant explained that the whole incident came about as he shielded a colleague from gunfire.
Jonny’s brother Grant told the MailOnline: “We’re Southern, born and raised, and we would never let a female walk to their car by herself. We’re Southern, born and raised, and we would never let a female walk to their car by herself.
” He came across them and he thought his truck was being towed. So he said something to the guys, like, ‘Hey, are you towing?’. Once he turned around, he saw what was happening and he put his coworker behind him. That’s when they shot him.”
Johnny’s mother Scarlett initially explained to TMZ that Johnny was with a colleague when they saw three men “messing with Johnny’s car” and that the suspects “allegedly tried to steal a catalytic converter”.
Scarlett noted that Johnny “did not try to stop” the alleged suspects in their actions, and that even though paramedics rushed to the scene shortly after the shooting, he was pronounced dead in hospital.
On Sunday evening, Johnny’s agent David Shaul remembered his late client as being “a spectacular human being.”
He told People: “Not just a talented actor who was committed to his craft but a real moral example to everyone who knew him. Standing for hard work, tenacity and a never give up attitude. In the highs and lows of a challenging profession, he always kept his chin up and kept striving for the best he could be.
“Our time with Johnny was a privilege we would wish on everyone. He would literally give you the shirt off his back. After over a decade together, he will leave a hole in our hearts forever.”
Johnny – who had also starred in ‘Criminal Minds’ and ‘Siberia’ – joined the cast of ‘General Hospital’ in early 2020 as the ex-con mechanic Brando Corbin and stayed with the show until 2022, when his character was stabbed and woke up in the hospital only to suffer a fatal seizure.

Jennifer Lopez reveals her face was ‘stolen’ for AI scams

OHMYGOSSIP — Jennifer Lopez was scared after her face was stolen for artificial intelligence scams.
The 54-year-old actress – who plays the title role in new Netflix sci-fi film ‘Atlas’, which explores the issues with AI – admitted she has struggled with the way technology has advanced, particularly when it comes to being in the public eye.
Speaking to Variety, she recalled adverts “selling skincare that I know nothing about” by using manipulated photos of her own face with “wrinkles”.
She added: “It’s really scary. Right away we had them stealing our faces. So, yes, [AI] is really scary.”
She acknowledged that AI does have some advantages too, and urged people to be “open” to the benefits as well as the negative side.
SHe said: “I think you should be respectful of AI…We have to be open to all possibilities.
“These movies that are talking about AI — especially this one — do a really good job of showing both sides.”
When it comes to ‘Atlas’, J-Lo – who plays a data analyst using AI to save the earth from an evil robot played by Simu Liu – pointed to the way both sides of the argument are shown on screen.
She explained: “I think this movie does a good job of showing how AI could go incredibly wrong, and this is how it could go really right.”
Jennifer recently admitted she is “worried” about the sudden rise of AI in real life, while she also discussed shooting some of the more intense scenes in the movie.
She told Extra: “I am. I’m worried about that. I think it’s a scary thing and we have to kind of be careful about it and really think about where it’s going.
“I thought it would be me, by myself, do the takes, be so fast, don’t have to worry about anybody else not remembering their lines… First day, you’re falling through the planets. It’s all going crazy.
“Now, your leg’s broke… It was so high-intensity every day, and without having another actor kind of to give you half the energy, it’s just all you. I was exhausted. I would leave the ‘Atlas’ set limping.”

Jaws actor Richard Dreyfuss accused of ‘transphobic and sexist rant’ at film screening

OHMYGOSSIP — Richard Dreyfuss has been accused of making transphobic, sexist and homophobic comments at a screening of ‘Jaws’.
The Cabot theatre in Beverly Massachusetts has issued an apology after the 76-year-old actor – who played Matt Hooper in the iconic 1975 shark horror flick – appeared in a housedress, swung his cane like a baseball bat and delivered a rant which offended attendees at an anniversary screening.
As reported by Deadline, social media users have claimed he first discussed his ‘Nuts’ producer Barba Streisand, hailing her a “genius” but insisted the movie sucked because women are “so passive”.
He was also accused of taking aim at the #MeToo Movement, and another attendee claimed he “started down the road of how you shouldn’t be listening to some 10 year old who says they want to be a boy instead of a girl”.
The outlet has obtained an apology sent by the venue to attendees.
The Cabot theatre’s team wrote: “We are aware of, and share serious concerns, following the recent event with Richard Dreyfuss prior to a screening of the film ‘Jaws’ at The Cabot.
“The views expressed by Mr. Dreyfuss do not reflect the values of inclusivity and respect that we uphold as an organization. We deeply regret the distress that this has caused to many of our patrons.
“We regret that an event that was meant to be a conversation to celebrate an iconic movie instead became a platform for political views.
“We take full responsibility for the oversight in not anticipating the direction of the conversation and for the discomfort it caused to many patrons.
“We are in active dialogue with our patrons about their experience and are committed to learning from this event how to better enact our mission of entertaining, educating and inspiring our community.”
It has been claimed Dreyfuss made similar comments at another recent ‘Jaws’ screening this month, and last year he told PBS’ ‘Firing Line’ that efforts in diversity by the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences makes him “vomit”.
He said: “We’re so fragile that we can’t have our feelings hurt. We don’t know how to stand up and bop the bully in the face.”

Michael McDonald reveals key to the success of his 40-year marriage

OHMYGOSSIP — Michael McDonald thinks the success of his marriage is down to his wife’s ability to “forgive” him.
The 72-year-old singer has been married to Amy Holland, 70, since 1983 and explained that because she has been able to deal with his “behaviour” and “selfishness” over the years, that is why they have been together for over four decades.
He told People: “We are not perfect for sure. And a big part of the success of my marriage is my wife’s forgiveness of my behavior over the years and my selfishness is what it comes down to and dealing with all the character defects that come from my own fear of life.”
The ‘On My Own’ hitmaker – who has Dylan, 36, and 33-year-old Scarlett with Amy – also revealed that when his wife was diagnosed with breast cancer in some years ago, he really “learned a lot” from his wife in that moment and the “worst experiences” bring about “silver linings” in a way that nothing else can.
He said: “I learned so much from her in that experience about love. And those are things that even at the rough times that we might’ve had later because we’re married… I always had that to hang on to as far as who she was and how important is she really to me. I’m a firm believer in the worst things that happened to us inevitably without fail, turn out to be the best things that ever happened to us if we survive them.
“There are these silver linings in the worst things that happen that you can’t get any other way, and sad to say, but it’s part of life. It’s kind of the way life works and maybe the way God intended it to work.”

Home Alone star Daniel Stern felt ‘protective’ of Macaulay Culkin: ‘It’s a dangerous situation…’

OHMYGOSSIP — Daniel Stern felt “very protective” of Macaulay Culkin on the set of ‘Home Alone’.
The 66-year-old actor famously played burglar Marv in the 1990 Christmas classic opposite the then-child star but noticed that he had “given up” a lot of things that his own children didn’t have to as they were out of the spotlight.
Speaking on ITV’s ‘Good Morning Britain’, he explained: “He was a professional actor, [childhood] what you give up a lot of times when you’re working as a kid. He also lived in New York. I love him, I loved him then. He was the same age as one of my kids and I felt very protective of him.
“We all went to the park to play. He did things my kids didn’t do but he was under the microscope.”
Following his rise to fame in ‘Home Alone’, Macaulay acted in films such as ‘My Girl’ and ‘The Pagemaster’ before returning for ‘Home Alone 2: Lost In New York’ and later retired from acting in pursuit of a “normal life” away from Hollywood but made a comeback to the film scene in the early 2000s.
Daniel – who has just published his memoir ‘Home and Alone’ – noted that being a child star can be a “dangerous situation” because either a kid is going to be rejected several times over or they have to deal with an enormous amount of public scrutiny during their teenage years.
He said: “Being a kid actor is a dangerous situation. It’s a lose-lose to me. Either you’re gonna have a kid go out and audition for things and get rejected or they’re in the movie or the show and it’s a big success and now they’re having their adolescence while everyone is paying too much attention to them. It’s a minefield for adults.”

Jake Paul insists Mike Tyson fight is still on despite health scare

OHMYGOSSIP — Jake Paul has insisted his fight with Mike Tyson is still happening despite the boxing legend’s health scare.
The two boxers are set to clash in Arlington, Texas on July 20, and the 27-year-old star has played down speculation it might be cancelled after Tyson, 57, felt “nauseous and dizzy due to an ulcler flare-up” during a flight from Miami to Los Angeles on Monday (27.05.24).
Addressing some reports about his opponent’s condition on X, formerly Twitter,, Jake insisted people have made things up “before knowing the facts”, and added: “Nothing changed #PaulTyson”
The former heavyweight champion had his ulcer flare-up 30 minutes before his American Airlines flight landed, and paramedics got on the plane to assist the sports star.
Tyson’s rep told People magazine in a statement: “He is appreciative to the medical staff that were there to help him.”
The flight had been delayed for two hours before taking off, but a rep confirmed Tyson’s health scare wasn’t the cause of the delay, which was actually down to an “air conditioning issue on the aircraft”.
Meanwhile, the fight looks set to go ahead, and the legendary boxer is “looking forward” to the challenge.
He previously said: “I’m very much looking forward to stepping into the ring with Jake Paul at the AT and T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
“He’s grown significantly as a boxer over the years, so it will be a lot of fun to see what the will and ambition of a ‘kid’ can do with the experience and aptitude of a GOAT.
“It’s a full circle moment that will be beyond thrilling to watch; as I started him on his boxing journey on the undercard of my fight with Roy Jones and now I plan to finish him.”
Jake recently described facing Mike as the “ultimate test of warfare”.
He told TMZ Sports: “I’m going to have to manage the nerves and excitement.
“This is my ultimate test of warfare and that excites me.”

Shirlie Kemp reveals she would ‘fear’ getting her period at the height of her fame

OHMYGOSSIP — Shirlie Kemp used to “fear” getting her period at the height of her fame.
The 62-year-old singer formed a duo alongside Pepsi DeMacque in the late 1980s but suffers from endometriosis – a disease in which tissue similar to the lining of the uterus grows outside the uterus causing intense pain – and used to worry about things she couldn’t do on stage when it was her time of the month.
Speaking on UK TV show ‘Lorraine, she told stand-in host Ranvir Singh: “I would be looking at my diary…the thing is, Pepsi knew how bad I was. We’d say ‘Oh I can’t do that’, but if we were on an aeroplane, I just had to roll up into a ball and put a blanket over myself. I used to take too many Nurofen, and that’s dangerous to take so many anti-inflammatories.
“I feared that time of the month and it became a cycle. As a woman, I felt, ‘Maybe I’m just a weed, and I’m not very good at doing this’…and it’s embarrassing to tell anyone.
“I was only 22 when I got a diagnosis.”
The ‘Heartache’ hitmaker recalled starting her periods in the years before she found fame and doctors would often misdiagnose her condition as “food poisoning” and it wasn’t until she could afford to go private that she got an official diagnosis.
She said: “I started suffering pain as soon as I started my periods in the 1970s. My mother never had period pains so when I used to have these excruciating period pains, I would be bedridden, vomiting, unable to move, and my legs and my back would be in pain.
“She would call the local GP around and he did not diagnose…he said it must be something else. I even got told I had food poisoning once because the vomiting didn’t make sense. I was just given Paracetamol and when you’re suffering as a young girl and other people aren’t, people say ‘You need to get over it’ or ‘You’ll grow out of it’. But I never grew out it. It got worse and worse, it was like a 48-hour continuous labour pain. And it wasn’t until I was old enough I could go to a private doctor, and I had the money. I feel so sorry for anyone going through that pain, I compare it to labour pain.”

Jennifer Love Hewitt has bizarre tactic to stay in emotional place on film sets

OHMYGOSSIP — Jennifer Love Hewitt watches “pimple popping videos” to get more emotional on film sets.
The 45-year-old actress admitted she has an unusual technique to relax and make sure she stays in a suitable frame of mind for difficult scenes.
Speaking to E! News, she explained: “I like to watch pimple popping videos because it’s really enjoyable, A, and B, it doesn’t mess with my headspace.
“It doesn’t take me out of the drama headspace and into a happier headspace.”
The mother-of-three – who has kids Autumn, 10, Atticus, eight, and Aidan, two, with her husband Brian Hallisay – revealed it’s tough for her to see photos of her children when she’s meant to be in a sad scene.
She added: “I find it hard to look at pictures of my kids while I’m doing crying scenes because then I get really happy. So, I tend to watch pimple popping videos.”
However, popping pimples isn’t the only way Jennifer likes to prepare for emotional scenes, as she finds herself listening “to a lot of music to kind of get in the mood”.
The ‘Heartbreakers’ star tries to “keep it light” in between scenes, and she doesn’t find herself stuck in a dark headspace for long, thanks to her family.
She said: “Honestly, the drama stuff has gotten easier for me since having kids.
“Because I have such a better balance now of going to work and kind of being dramatic and doing all that, and then the second that I walk in the door, it’s like you just have to be silly. So, it lightens my mood up right away.”
Jennifer previously opened up on how becoming a mother has altered her perception on body positivity and how people talk about women.
She explained on the ‘Inside of You’ podcast: “I’m a mother of a girl, and it’s dangerous what we put on people. It’s dangerous to say to women, ‘You can’t look like you’re not 22 to me anymore.'”
