OHMYGOSSIP — Donald Trump has joined TikTok and gained more than three million followers despite attempting to ban the app during his time in office.
The former US President unveiled a profile on the video-sharing platform over the weekend (01-02.06.24) and his first post showed him attending an Ultimate Fighting Championship match in Newark, New Jersey on Saturday (01.06.24). It gained more than 56 million views and brought him more than three million followers in just two days.
Trump declared he would “use every tool available to speak directly with the American people” ahead of the November 5 election while his spokesperson Steven Cheung said in a statement: “We will leave no front undefended and this represents the continued outreach to a younger audience consuming pro-Trump and anti-Biden content.
“There’s no place better than a UFC event to launch president Trump’s TikTok, where he received a hero’s welcome and thousands of fans cheered him on.”
Incumbent US President Joe Biden – who will face Trump at the polls later in the year – joined the platform in February and gained more than 340,000 followers.
Trump previously attempted to have the Chinese-owned app blocked from the US during his time in the White House over claims it was a threat to national security, but his move was overturned by the courts.
TikTok is still facing an uncertain future in the US because Biden signed a law in April which will force Chinese tech company ByteDance to sell the app or have it banned from US app stores.
Trump previously admitted he had mixed feelings about TikTok, admitting he doesn’t hate it as much as Facebook.
Earlier this year, he told CNBC: “There’s a lot of good and there’s a lot of bad with TikTok. But the thing I don’t like is that without TikTok, you can make Facebook bigger and I consider Facebook to be an enemy of the people along with a lot of the media.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York, received a “swift kick in the butt” when she was diagnosed with two forms of cancer.
The 64-year-old author underwent a single mastectomy after being diagnosed with breast cancer last June and on New Year’s Eve (31.12.24), she was told she had also developed skin cancer, and now she has put her treatment behind her, she is determined to live life to the full and showcase her “huge personality”.
She told Britain’s HELLO! magazine: “I think it woke me up. It gave me a swift kick in the butt and told me: ‘Right, are you going to start living now, at 64, or are you going to keep on not quite living?’ You don’t have to be what everyone wants you to be: just be yourself.
“One of the only people who saw me properly was the Queen and before she died, she said: ‘Sarah, being yourself is enough.’
“I haven’t shown my huge personality properly, because I’ve tried to keep it under the cushion. ‘It’s too much,’ or: ‘Shut up, no one wants to hear from you.’ I remember my father telling me: ‘You’re a bore.’ And now I’m just not excusing myself any more.”
Sarah has been warned not to use the phrase “cancer-free” and will have regular check ups, but her outlook is positive and she’s “very grateful” not to need further invasive treatment.
She said: “I have to be checked regularly and I have to put cream on my face to get out past sun damage, which means big blisters on my face, chest and hands for three weeks.
“But I’m not doing immunotherapy, taking any drugs or doing chemotherapy, for which I’m very grateful.”
The duchess was grateful she could rely on daughters Princess Beatrice, 35, and 34-year-old Princess Eugenie – who she has with ex-husband Prince Andrew – for support during her treatment.
She said: “I have the most exceptional family and I have an extraordinarily great team and I have an enormous ability to turn to joy.
“I have always brought up my girls to be so honest and frank that they know I’m going to tell it to them straight, however difficult it is.
“So when they said, ‘Mummy, tell us the absolute truth – have they got all the cancer out?’ and the answer was yes, they knew they were safe.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Cheryl Burke has warned future ‘Dancing With The Stars’ contestants they need to be single when they sign up for the show.
The former professional dancer worked on 26 seasons of the hit TV series before walking away from the role in 2022 and she has now given some candid advice to any celebrities considering a stint on the dance floor – urging them not to take part if they’re in a long-term relationship because it will be jeopardised by the bond they develop with their dance partner.
Speaking on her ‘Sex, Lies, and Spray Tans’ podcast, Cheryl explained: “It’s an arranged marriage. And it is black and white. Either love each other or hate each other for real …
“You’re not like, ‘Oh yeah, he’s cute. Like, no, no, I either like you or I don’t because you’re constantly [together] eight hours a day, seven days a week. That’s insane. For three months? And you’re vulnerable.”
Cheryl went on to add: “You get close in so many ways. These celebrities are so vulnerable because in order to succeed you have to strip it all down.

“Be single if you do ‘Dancing with Stars.’ That’s all, I’m saying.”
Cheryl also confessed she fell for several of her partners over the years, but the romances were just based on “lust”. She added: “It’s not love, right?.
“It is in that moment. Then you’re like, ‘Wait a second, how is this person, like in the real world?'”
The dancer previously revealed she had three “showmances” during her 26 seasons on the show and admitted one involved former pro football player Chad Johnson.
During an appearance on the ‘Amy and T.J.’ podcast, Cheryl admitted: “One of them basically professed his love to me on ‘Ellen DeGeneres’.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Zoe Kravitz and Channing Tatum have booked their wedding for next year, according to father-of-the-bride Lenny Kravitz.
The couple are believed to have become engaged in October 2023 after two years of dating after Zoe was seen showing off a massive ring on her left hand, and now her rocker dad Lenny has revealed his daughter is planning to walk down the aisle in 2025.
Speaking on the ‘Zoe Ball and Friends’ podcast, Lenny explained: “They’re in love. We’re going to have a wedding next year.”
When asked if he will be performing at the event, Lenny replied: “I don’t think so. [I’ll] just be hanging out.”
During the podcast, Lenny expressed his admiration for ‘Magic Mike’ star Channing and insisted he’s become part of the family.
He said: “He’s a really great guy. He was raised well. So, you know, he’s got manners. He’s charming. He’s a soulful human being. And so, he’s become part of the family quite quickly.”
Lenny previously revealed he give a speech on his daughter’s big day, but he won’t be writing it in advance because it’s more important to him to speak “from the heart”.

The couple met when Channing signed up to star in new movie ‘Blink Twice’ which Zoe is directing and she said working on the project together brought them even closer.
She told GQ magazine: “Whether it was making me tea or pouring me a drink or going to whip someone into shape or whatever – he really was my protector and it was really wonderful and sweet. I think if you can do something like that together, it’s a good test. And we came out even stronger.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Patrick J. Adams would love to star in a ‘Suits’ movie.
The legal drama – which ran from 2011 to 2019 – has enjoyed a sudden resurgence on streaming platforms and while there are already plans for a spin-off in the works, the 42-year-old actor confirmed creator Aaron Korsh is keen to bring the story to the big screen and he’d happily reprise his role as Mike Rossagain.
Speaking during ATX’s ‘Suits’ retrospective, he said in response to a fan question about whether a movie was possible: “It’s definitely something [Aaron] is interested in doing, trying to get the band back together.
“It’s gonna depend on a million things if that can happen, but is it possible.”
His co-star Dule Hill – who previously starred in a movie based on his TV series ‘Psych’ in 2017 – was also excited by the idea.
He said:“I’ll say as a fan of USA shows becoming films, I would definitely like to be doing another one.”
Patrick previously admitted he was keen to return to ‘Suits’, particularly if his former co-star Meghan, Duchess of Sussex – who gave up acting when she married Prince Harry in 2018 – would reprise her role as paralegal Rachel Zane.
He told E! News: “I think Meghan is a fantastic actress. We’d be lucky to have her back in the industry.
“Let’s go, I’d do it. I’m ready. Mike and Rachel in Seattle.”
Patrick admitted he is “astounded” by ‘Suits’ “second life” but couldn’t be happier.
He said: “I’m totally astounded it’s found a second life.

OHMYGOSSIP — Dakota Fanning didn’t expect to still be getting annual birthday gifts from Tom Cruise.
The 30-year-old actress worked with the ‘Mission: Impossible’ star on 2005 movie ‘War of the Worlds’, and while she recently revealed he bought her her first cell phone when she turned 11, she’s confirmed he remembers her special day every year and told her he enjoys “checking in” with his former on-screen daughter.
Dakota told ‘Entertainment Tonight’: “He always sends me something every year. He gave me my first cellphone when I was 11 years old. That was my first gift from him and he’s remembered it every year since then.
“I always am like, ‘Maybe when I’m 18 [he will stop]?’ Like that would be a normal place, you know what I mean? Or, like, 21 or whatever.
“And then he said a few years ago that he likes sort of that moment of checking in like once a year.
“It’s so thoughtful, and I really appreciate it.”
The ‘Ocean’s 8’ star celebrated her milestone 30th birthday in February and feels like she’s entering a new chapter.

OHMYGOSSIP — Brooke Burke hasn’t married her fiance Scott Rigsby yet because they have been too busy to fit in a wedding.
The 52-year-old former ‘Dancing with the Stars’ host got engaged to the property developer back in 2021, but they have yet to set a date to tie the knot and Brooke has now explained they had planned to marry in May but the idea got shelved because family life was so hectic.
She told PEOPLE: “We hoped to get married in May, and May came and went quickly.”
Brooke is mum to daughters Neriah, 23, and Sierra, 21, with ex-husband Garth Fisher as well as daughter Rain, 16, and son Shaya, 15, with ex-husband David Charvet, while Scott is dad to Lila, 15, and Levi, 12, from a previous relationship.
Brooke added of their busy schedule: “School, two of our children turning 16, getting their driver’s licence, Sierra graduating from USC. Neriah was supposed to be on tour. We finished building our home in Arizona …

“So we want to do it right. We just don’t want to rush into it … I said we could always go get married on a weekend or plan something quick, but we want to just do it right.”

The former ‘One Tree Hill’ star revealed in April that she identifies as queer and is dating Ashlyn Harris, and she’s now shared a moving message of support for the LGBTQ+ community to mark the beginning of Pride month.
She shared a message which read: “Pride is important because someone tonight still believes they’re better off dead than being themselves.”.
She then added her own comment that stated: “You are perfect. No matter how long it might take, you’ll find your people. And they will help you find more and more of yourself. It’s worth it. You’re worth it.”
Sophia discussed her new relationship in an emotional essay for America’s Glamour magazine earlier this year, in which she told how she fell for Ashlyn while the ex-US Women’s International Soccer Team plater was dealing with her split from her fellow footballer wife, 38-year-old Ali Krieger.
Sophia said about how their romance was sparked when they attended the same support group: “I didn’t expect to find love in this support system. I don’t know how else to say it other than: I didn’t see it until I saw it.

The 31-year-old pop superstar gave up so much of the normal “social experience” when she was fronting the billion-dollar franchise ‘Hannah Montana’ for the Disney Channel but insisted that she has “no bad feelings” towards the corporation for that, although she does feel believe that she deserves to be recognised as a Disney Legend.
She told W Magazine: “It’s a place to celebrate the journey of both being on and graduating from Disney. It was a great, safe experience overall. People have 50- or 60-year-long careers, but mine has been close to 20 years, and I’m 31.
“I have been in the public for more of my life than I haven’t. They say that the creative adult is the child who survived. I worked really hard as a child. I didn’t go to prom. I didn’t go to dances.
“I didn’t have so much of that social experience or time for friends.
“Disney, they were doing very well off of the amount of work that I was putting in as a child. I don’t have any bad feelings about that. It’s just the truth. And so I think they have to give me this award.”
The ‘Flowers’ hitmaker was just 12 when she was chosen out of more than 1,000 hopefuls to star in the series that followed the adventures of a schoolgirl living a double life as a pop star.
The sitcom – which aired from 2006 until 2011 – spawned a sell-out stadium tour, a cinematic film and allowed Miley to launch a singing career in her own right but she insisted that gaining induction into the Disney Hall of Fame is more of a “celebration” with her fans than anything else.

OHMYGOSSIP — Blondie’s Chris Stein doesn’t think he’ll play live with the group again.
The 74-year-old guitarist has just finished work on a new album, but he won’t be joining fellow founder member Debbie Harry and the rest of the group on the road in support of the record because his health isn’t up to the demands of travel anymore.
He told The Observer newspaper: “After 50 years and all my health issues, I live a little more sedentary now.
“Just doing the hotels and the airplanes is hard. And I’ve got a f****** heart condition and I’m at the tail end of dealing with prostate cancer, so I just thought, ‘F***it,’ you know?
“Maybe I should have drunk more like Keith [Richards]. I don’t know how those guys do it, but more power to them.”
Chris was left devastated last year when his and wife Barbara Sicuranza’s daughter Akira died from an accidental overdose aged 19, and he’s worried his own tales of taking drugs were “misconstrued” by his offspring, rather than being taken as a warning.
He wrote in his new memoir ‘Under a Rock’: “It was the hardest thing I’ve ever dealt with, and am dealing with.
“I thought that I presented my own drug experiences in a negative light to our kids, but I’m racked with guilt that any discussions might have been misconstrued.”
But the ‘Rapture’ musician is unsure if he could have changed his own path.
He said: “I don’t know if it would have been easy to do anything differently.”
Blondie disbanded in 1982 before reforming in 1997, and Chris admitted his own drug abuse contributed to the split, as well as the pressure of being expected to produce an album every year and go on tour to promote the record.
He said: “It was hard to keep up. That’s why everybody self-imploded after a while in the early 80s.
“It was tremendous amounts of pressure. And just our own weaknesses, and all the drug abuse. For me, anyway.”
After the group split, Chris and Debbie retained their romantic relationship but they eventually split when both sought treatment in rehab for their respective addictions.
The guitarist reflected: ““I am always like the boy who stood on the burning deck.
“I’m a fan of chaos, I like it. But I guess, inevitably, there’s parts of you that get befuddled by too much chaos. I think it took its toll, but it’s not something I’m against.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Kris Jenner fought back tears as she admitted she’s still grieving for her murdered friend Nicole Brown Simpson 30 years after her death.
‘The Kardashians’ star was left devastated after her pal was found stabbed to death outside her home in Brentwood, California alongside her friend Ron Goldman on June 12 1994 with Nicole’s ex-husband OJ Simpson later being tried and sensationally acquitted of the killing – and Kris says she still misses her friend three decades on.
Speaking in new documentary series ‘The Life and Murder of Nicole Brown Simpson’, Kris is seen fighting back sobs as she said: “You never get over losing a friend that way.
“And I think I pack it down so far deep inside, you know? It’s been 30 years. It’s hard. [It’s] one of the hardest days I’ve ever experienced.”
Kris also revealed Nicole’s final words to her in a phone call shortly before the murder – revealing her pal was organising a schedule to look after their mutual friend Faye Resnick while she was undergoing treatment for substance abuse.
The TV star explained: “Nicole said: ‘Okay, we are going to go visit Faye and make sure that somebody’s there for her every day’
“So she made a schedule for us. I remember it was Nicole’s day and Nicole and I spoke and she goes: ‘No, Faye’s having a good day. I’m leaving. Your day is tomorrow.’
“That was the last day I spoke to her.”
Kris met Nicole through her then-husband Robert Kardashian, who was friends with Simpson. She added of her relationship with Nicole: “It was a really fast friendship because Robert [Kardashian] and O.J. were so close …
“I think Nicole was really careful and she didn’t befriend everybody. She was really warm and amazing but you got to know her first before she let you in. But when she did, she was super loyal and your friend for life.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Mamie Laverock’s body was “shattered” in her near-fatal plunge from a fifth storey balcony.
The 19-year-old actress, famed for starring in the long-running US TV series ‘When Calls the Heart’, suffered her “medical emergency” on 11 May, according to a GoFundMe page aiming to raised money for her medical treatment, and her family have now added an update to the page telling fans of her horrific injuries.
They said: “Focusing now on Mamie’s surgery today. Her body has been shattered. She has undergone two 11-hour surgeries with two doctors working on her, a three-hour surgery and another surgery today.
“We have nothing but gratitude for the doctors and nurses who have been exemplary in her care since May 26.”
Mamie’s family added she was “doing well” compared to when she arrived at the hospital, but said she’s “enduring tremendous pain”.
They said: “We can only hold onto the miracles of each day and continue to thank everyone for their prayers and marvel at the miracles of her story. Our daughter loves her life and loves her family and is fighting hard every day.:
Mamie’s GoFundMe has now raised almost $36,000 for her treatment.
She was put on life support following her freak accident that saw her plummet five stories from a balcony.
Her parents Rob and Nicole Compton previously said they expected Mamie’s hospitalisation to last “upwards of a month or more”.
The couple said in their original GoFundMe post on her accident and condition that her mum was “able to get there in time to save her life” after the actress’ balcony fall, and was initially transported to a local hospital before being moved to a facility in Vancouver, where her condition was labelled “unclear” but showing “signs of improvement”.
Mamie has played nursing student Rosaleen Sullivan on the popular Hallmark show ‘When Calls the Heart’ since 2014, and a year later landed a 2015 Young Artist Awards win for Best Performance in a TV Series – Recurring Young Actress Ten and Under.
After a years-long break from the series, she reprised her role in 2023 for the show’s 10th season.
The actress has also appeared in ‘Psych’, ‘The Hollow Child’ and ‘This Means War’, alongside Reese Witherspoon, Chris Pine and Tom Hardy.

The ‘Flowers’ singer, 31, who is dating 25-year-old Lilly drummer Maxx Morando – and was married to actor Liam Hemsworth, 34, from 2018 to 2020 – opened up about her uncertainty as she also admitted she views her fans as her children.
She told W magazine: “I’m 31 now, and I still don’t know if I want kids or not,” she admits. “I feel like my fans kind of are my kids in some way.”

The 34-year-old ‘Bad Blood’ singer’s Super Bowl-winning partner, also 34, joked along with his Kansas City Chiefs teammate and friend Patrick Mahomes, 28, they had let themselves go slightly after their victory at the tournament in February.
They took to the stage at the Big Slick Celebrity Party to raise funds for the Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City at the weekend and a co-host for the event introduced the pair to say they were auctioning off “game jerseys signed at the Big Slick”.
A video of the event on X showed one of its hosts adding: “They still fit –– even in the offseason! Keeping it tight,” while the jumpers were held up by Travis and Patrick.
The Super Bowl champions then tried to get the jerseys on over their clothes, but as they struggled, Patrick joked: “This is dad bod season.”
Travis also had trouble getting his on past his shoulders.
Actors Paul Rudd, 55, and Eric Stonestreet, 52, ran over to help him slowly roll down the red and gold jersey as Travis joked: “I have no kids. This is just what it looks like at 35!”
Paul and Eric were eventually able to help Travis struggle into the jersey, with celebrity host Rob Riggle, 54, joking: “Lot of room for activities, right?”
Travis insisted: “I could f*** up some teams in this jersey. I could win a Super Bowl in this jersey!”
The video ended with an auctioneer asking for $65,000 for the duo’s Chiefs tops.
Travis also appeared on stage for a skit with Jason Sudeikis, 48, that saw the actor jokingly grilling the NFL player about when he was going to pop the question to girlfriend Taylor.
Instead of answering the question, Travis rubbed his beard and smiled.
He and Patrick have previously poked fun at their “dad bods” during the NFL offseason.
In January, Travis’ quarterback pal Patrick, who has two children with his wife Brittany Mahomes, 28, took to social media to defend his body after a shirtless video of him went viral, saying: “Yoooo why they have to do me like that!?!?!? #DadBodSZN. Like I got kids!!!!”
Travis has also defended his body after photos were published of him in swim trunks while on holiday with Taylor in the Bahamas.
He said on an April episode of the ‘New Heights’ podcast he fronts with his 36 year old former NFL player brother Jason: “It’s March!”

OHMYGOSSIP — Miley Cyrus’ godmother Dolly Parton sent her a fully-dressed lifesize mannequin of herself for Christmas.
The 31-year-old ‘Flowers’ singer regularly talks about how the country music icon, 78, supports her, and has now revealed she stays in touch by faxing and gave her a unique festive gift last year.
She told W magazine: “Dolly’s been like a mother to me. Actually, I was just reading this fax that she sent me two Mother’s Days ago.
“Dolly faxing is 100 percent part of my 9 to 5 fantasy.
“No one else faxes. I literally have to access my lawyer’s office, because the lawyer is the only person who can still receive a fax.
“Dolly wrote to me to say: ‘How much do I love you? As much as my heart can hold and as far as my arms can reach.’
“It gets me choked up. I just love her so much.
“Last Christmas, she gave me a whole mannequin, done in her proportions and wearing her outfit. It’s so major.”
Miley opened up about Dolly’s gift after her W interviewer told her Dolly had gushed about her goddaughter in a special message.
They told the singer: “Your godmother, Dolly Parton, had this to say about you: ‘She never stops and is always in the loop with all the things pertaining to the business, records, and people I should know and work with.’”
Miley also told how she has given up her wild-child days and now trains in high heels to replicate the hardship of her stage performances.
She said: “My lifestyle is extremely clean. Sobriety is a big part of it.
“My mantra is, like any athlete, ‘Practice how you perform.’
“So that’s why I practice in my heels. The gym looks really tough, but then I’ve got my ivory Gucci slingbacks because they remind me of Marilyn ­Monroe.
“I train in heels, mostly. I’m interested in feminising the workout space, because so much of the workout equipment is ugly.”
