Katharine McPhee, 40, and David Foster, 75, ‘aren’t fighting age’ in relationship

OHMYGOSSIP — Katharine McPhee and David Foster “aren’t fighting age” in their relationship.
The 40-year-old singer has been married to record producer David, 75, since 2019, and she has insisted that they both “welcomed” their recent milestone birthdays as opposed to anything else.
She told PEOPLE: “Honestly, I think that we’re both very similar in this way. I welcomed my 40s, and David didn’t have any conversations about, like, ‘Oh, I can’t believe I’m 75,’ or I didn’t say, like, ‘Oh, I can’t believe I’m 40. I’m really mourning that.’
“We didn’t do any of that. So, we’re kind of both cut from the same cloth. It’s like we sort of just accept life as it comes, and we’re not fighting getting older, because it just keeps getting better.”
Together, the pair have son Rennie, two, and their large age gap has led to very different views on how to parent their child.
David said: “I want to start disciplining [Rennie] and Kat’s not really down with that.”
Katharine replied: “No, that’s not true. I just want to discipline in my own way. There’s the more old-fashioned way of disciplining which involves time-outs and things like that. My take is that you can have more mindful parenting opposed to just assuming that a two or three-year-old can have time alone to reflect on what they’ve done poorly.
“I think the more new way of parenting is understanding that with a child, there’s only so much that they can intellectually understand. Saying ‘That was really bad, that was really, really bad,’ gets into a shaming thing. I think disciplining is something that happens over time.”
David was previously married to B.J. Cook from 1972 to 1981, and has Amy, 51, with her and Sara, 43, with his second wife Rebecca Dyer.
The couple also had Erin, 42, and Jordan, 37, together but they divorced in 1986.
He was then married to Linda Thompson from 1991 until 2005 and ‘Real Housewives’ star Yolanda Hadid from 2011 until 2017.
David’s eldest child is 55-year-old Allison, although she was adopted as a baby and then reunited with her father in adulthood.

Victoria Beckham admits she ‘cares less’ about fame now: ‘It used to be fun…’

OHMYGOSSIP — Victoria Beckham “cares less” about fame as she gets older.
The 50-year-old fashion designer became known around the world alongside Geri Horner, Mel B, Emma Bunton and Melanie C as part of the Spice Girls in the late 1990s but admitted that after three decades in the industry, the idea of being “chased by paparazzi” has become far less appealing to her.
She told Harper’s Bazaar magazine: “I suppose it used to be fun to go out and be chased by paparazzi walking down Bond Street – and you would dress knowing you were going to get that. I don’t want that anymore.
“I’ve been doing this too long. I suppose I did when I was growing up but, nowadays, there’s just too much going on; too busy; too many kids to worry about.
“I woke up at 50, and I gave a s*** less.”
Victoria – who was known as Posh Spice during her days with the ‘Viva Forever’ group – has been married to footballing legend David Beckham, 49, since 1999, and has Brooklyn, 25, Romeo, 22, Cruz, 19, and 13-year-old Harper with him.
In 1998, David endured harsh criticism after he received a red card for kicking Diego Simeone during a World Cup match between England and Argentina, and Victoria noted that she cannot imagine their son Romeo – who has followed in his football footsteps and plays for Brentford B – going through the same scrutiny now.
She said: “I mean, when it happened, David was the same age that Romeo is now. That’s a lot for a 22-year-old. When you’re in it, there’s that sink-or-swim feeling, and you just get on with it. And we had each other, and the rest is history. But the thought of my Romeo having to go through it… I don’t know how he would handle that. I don’t know how anyone would handle that. But we didn’t have a choice.”

Prince’s sister Tyka Nelson dead at 64

OHMYGOSSIP — Prince’s sister, Tyka Nelson, has died at the age of 64.
The singer had cancelled her farewell concert in New York in June, due to illness, and her son, President Nelson, confirmed to Minnesota’s Star Tribune on Monday (04.11.24) that she had passed away.
He did not state her cause of death.
Tyka’s half-sister, Sharon Nelson, said: “She had her own mind. She’s in a better place.”
Her cousin, Charles ‘Chazz’ Smith, posted to Facebook: “Our family is very saddened to share the news of my cousin Tyka Evene Nelson who passed away this morning.”
Tyka released four albums between 1988 and 2011 and had reached number 33 on the Billboard Hot R’n’B/Hip-Hop chart in 1988 with ‘Marc Anthony’s Tune’. Before her passing, she had been planning to publish a memoir about her life.
Music icon Prince died on April 21, 2016, at the age 57 of an accidental overdose of fentanyl at his Paisley Park home in Chanhassen, Minnesota.
Days earlier, on April 14, Prince played his final concert in Atlanta, however, on his flight home the next morning, his private jet had to make an emergency landing after he became unresponsive.
Tyka spoke to him not long after the health scare, which he brushed off as dehydration, but what she didn’t know was that would be the last time she would see her sibling.
She tried to get the ‘Purple Rain’ hitmaker to open up about his health but claimed he avoided her questions.
She told the Star Tribune: “A couple of times I said, ‘How are you really?]’
“He didn’t go into anything with me. That was bothering me, and he knew it was… but that was all he wanted to tell me.”
In fact, Prince didn’t speak about much during what would be their final conversation.
She recalled: “He kept avoiding questions.
“I kept getting mad. I felt like, ‘Talk to me for two seconds.’ He’d change the subject, make a joke and then we’d both laugh.”
However, he was keen to connect with Sharon, who Tyka didn’t have a relationship with until after Prince’s death eight years ago.
Tyka recounted: “He asked me [to] find more information about our family. Prince wanted me to find [half-sister] Sharon’s number.
“It was like, ‘Send this picture to that person.’ ‘OK. What for?'”

Selena Gomez: ‘It’s been a challenge for people to accept I’ve moved on’

OHMYGOSSIP — Selena Gomez says it’s been a “challenge” for people to “accept” that she has “moved on” with her career.
The 32-year-old actress found global fame as a teenager on the Disney Channel with her sitcom ‘Wizards of Waverly Place’ in the late 2000s before going on to have a mainstream pop career.
And after starring in Netflix’s French musical comedy film ‘Emilia Pérez’, she admits she is grateful to be working on projects that excite her and aren’t necessarily what her fans expect from her.
She told Best magazine: “Right now, I just want to do things that I love. It’s taken a while to get here and it’s been a challenge for people to accept I have moved on, but I am happy. I have learned so much and I’m excited for the future.”
The ‘Lose You To Love Me’ singer – who is the founder of Rare Beauty – has endured a tough few years during her time in the public eye as she famously battled chronic autoimmune disease lupus and was diagnosed with bipolar disorder in 2018.
She launched the Rare Impact Fund to help mental health causes and has admitted that even though it has “taken a very long time” to get where she is right now in terms of understanding her mental health.
Selena – who documented her struggles in the Apple+ documentary ‘My Mind and Me’ – said: “I do. I’m not going to lie, it took me a very long time to get here and I still have moments where I wake up and don’t feel at my best. But it’s all part of having a good relationship with your mental health and understanding how to figure out if, maybe, you need to talk or to seek that help that we all need sometimes!”

Ariana Grande reveals why she is using her real name for her credit in Wicked

OHMYGOSSIP — Ariana Grande wanted to “honour” her younger self with her credit in ‘Wicked’.
The 31-year-old pop megastar is playing the role of Glinda the Good Witch in the big-screen adaptation of the smash hit Broadway musical and has chosen to have herself listed in the cast list under her full name of Ariana Grande-Butera as a tribute to the “little girl” she was when she fell in love with the show.
She told Hit Network: “Technically, it’s my little girl name. It’s little Ari name. This experience was such a homecoming for me, I feel like I came home to myself in a lot of ways in what I learned from Glinda, from Elphaba. That was my name when I was 10 years old and it felt like a really lovely way of honouring that. It felt really full circle and just something that I wanted to do.”
‘Wicked’ tells the unofficial backstory of ‘The Wizard of Oz’ and focuses on how Elphaba (Cynthia Ervio) becomes the Wicked Witch of the West, whilst her classmate Glinda goes on to become known as the Good Witch in the magical land.
The musical is based on the book by Gregory Maguire, and the musical opened in 2003 with Idina Menzel and Kristin Chenworth in the leading roles of Elphaba and Glinda, respectively.
The ‘Into You’ hitmaker recently insisted that she always knew she had to “earn” the coveted role and quashed the notion that she had just been handed it because of her celebrity status.
Speaking on the ‘Sentimental Men’ podcast, she said: “People sometimes say that to me, like, ‘You had to audition?’ Of course! It’s ‘Wicked’. It requires a totally different skill set than people know me for or have ever seen me do anything like.
“It’s ‘Wicked’. That’s the most respectful thing, it has to be earned. It can work against me, in certain ways because when you have this caricatured persona that’s out there and people know you very well as this one thing…is this person going to be able to erase that? This isn’t about me.”

Holly Madison claims Pamela Anderson would around Hugh Hefner’s girlfriends

OHMYGOSSIP — Holly Madison has claimed Pamela Anderson was standoffish with the other Playboy Bunnies in the company of Hugh Hefner.
The 44-year-old author dated the late Playboy founder from 2001 to 2008, and though she is adamant she has no bad blood with Pamela, 57, she found it “so strange” when she allegedly didn’t acknowledge the other girls at the Playboy Mansion whenever she was with Hefner.
Speaking on her and Bridget Marquardt’s ‘Girls Next Level’ podcast, she said: “Interacting with Pam in the beginning was a little awkward.
“It’s not that Pam wasn’t nice. It was just that she would do this weird thing where she’d always come up to Hef wherever she would run into him. She’d fawn all over him and he’s surrounded by all these girls.”
She recalled: “She would act like we did not exist on any level in such a weird way.
“It was so strange to me and the only reason I’m bringing this up is because I remember feeling like it was so strange.”
However, Holly said the ‘Baywatch’ star was less “awkward” toward the end.
She continued: “I wondered what is that all about and I still kind of wonder because it would change later on. Like she would acknowledge me a little bit toward the very end.”
Holly insists she has always looked up to Pamela – who was a favourite of Hefner’s – and suggested that she might have had a bad experience talking with one of his girlfriends that made her act that way around them, or that fame had affected her.
She said: “I’m a fan of hers.
“But oftentimes, when I’m talking about mansion experiences, I’ll talk about meeting people like Paris Hilton and how she was so nice and how she would talk to each of us girls like we were equals.”
Holly concluded: “Maybe she was at such a weird level of fame where people always wanted something from her that she shouldn’t feel comfortable talking to people, or maybe she had an experience where she tried to talk to Hef’s girlfriends before and it went really poorly.
“I don’t know what it was, but it was so distinct and weird.”
The publishing mogul died in 2017 at the age of 91.
He was married to Playboy Playmate Crystal Hefner, 38, from 2012 until his death.

Amanda Seyfried moving out of Los Angeles was ‘essential for my mental health’

OHMYGOSSIP — Amanda Seyfried says moving out of Los Angeles was “essential for my mental health”.
The ‘Mean Girls’ star, 38, now lives on a farm in upstate New York with her husband, fellow actor Thomas Sadoski, 48, and their two children – Nina, seven, and Thomas, four – and has admitted the big move was the “best decision” as it gave her “privacy, peace and nature”.
She told Forbes: “I moved upstate long before I had a family. Staying here was the best decision for privacy, peace and nature. It offers a more balanced life than the city does.”
Among their many animals – including chickens, numerous horses, multiple goats, and a donkey – Amanda is closest to her beloved 15-year-old Australia Shepherd, Finn, who she credits with keeping her “grounded” in the early days of her career in Hollywood.
She noted: “Having Finn to come home to when I was in my 20’s in Hollywood helped keep me grounded.
“My pets truly keep me balanced.”
Growing up on a farm is also giving her two children life skills from a young age.
She said: “I can see them learning what a responsibility and treat it is to care for pets, even at their young ages.
“I think all pets give us purpose. And because they do so much to enrich our lives, we are responsible for theirs -which includes managing their health and wellness.”
Amanda recently shared how she is open with her brood about “the circle of life” as they have had a few pets that have passed away.
The youngsters are aware that Finn is getting older.
She told PEOPLE magazine: “They know he’s an old man, and my daughter especially, she knows that things die, but you get a chunk of time with them, you respect them, you love them, you give them the best life they can have, and then they go, and you remember them.
“It’s just like it’s the most positive spin that you can have.”
The ‘Mamma Mia!’ star explained that living with many animals has made the process of talking about death with her young children easier.
She added: “What I’ve learned living on a farm is that I’ve been exposed to a lot of death, and it’s helped me shape my relationship with it. “And I am almost positive that my kids will have a healthier understanding and appreciation for life and death because of the farm.”

Queen Camilla pulls out of engagements after falling ill with chest infection

OHMYGOSSIP — Queen Camilla has pulled out of engagements this week after falling ill with a chest infection.
The 77-year-old royal will not attend the annual Field of Remembrance event at Westminster Abbey on Thursday (07.11.24) after being advised by doctors to take a “short period of rest”, Buckingham Palace confirmed.
It’s hoped that she will be recovered in time to attend the events planned for Remembrance Sunday (10.11.24).
A spokesperson said: “Her Majesty The Queen is currently unwell with a chest infection, for which her doctors have advised a short period of rest.
“With great regret, Her Majesty has therefore had to withdraw from her engagements for this week, but she very much hopes to be recovered in time to attend this weekend’s Remembrance events as normal.
“She apologises to all those who may be inconvenienced or disappointed as a result.”
Camila and King Charles, 76, just completed a nine-day tour of Australia and Samoa.
Camila being struck down with a chest infection comes as the king continues to battle an undisclosed form of cancer.
Her son, Tom Parker Bowles, recently admitted it’s been a “very worrying” time for the monarch and the rest of the royal family since he was diagnosed with the “terrifying disease” in January, but he’s doing all he can and following doctors’ advice.
Speaking to PEOPLE magazine, the writer said: “The King is strong. He is doing what he can. He’s following the advice of his doctors. Fingers crossed, touch wood.
“It’s a terrifying disease, and when someone close to you gets it in whatever capacity, it’s a very worrying thing.”
Tom is “incredibly proud” of his mother for how “strong” she has been for her husband.
He continued: “But my mother is strong as well. She supports him in every way. I think it’s wonderful to have someone you love by your side.
“I’m incredibly proud of her. She’s at an age when most people think of retiring, but she never complains; she just gets on with it.”

Maggie Smith laid to rest at private funeral in Richmond

OHMYGOSSIP — Dame Maggie Smith was laid to rest at a private funeral in Richmond on Monday (04.11.24).
The late screen legend – whose iconic roles included Professor McGonagall in the ‘Harry Potter’ franchise, Dowager Countess in ‘Downton Abbey’, and the titular role in ‘The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie’ – passed away on September 27 at the age of 89, and her loved ones and colleagues gathered at Mortlake Crematorium at 4pm to pay their respects and celebrate her “richly lived” life.
As quoted by DailyMail.com, one guest wrote: “Such a beautiful goodbye to Maggie Smith today. It was warm and funny and full of love and brilliant eulogies, with the best hymns bringing belted out by all. It was poignant but not sad because hers was a life so richly lived.
“I knew her because of Robert’s decades of working with her but I adored her.
“Molly was traumatised when she first met her as she knew her as the terrifying housekeeper Mrs Medlock in The Secret Garden! Maggie was as funny and sharp as it gets. One of the greats.”
The news of her death was confirmed by her two sons, Chris Larkin and Toby Stephens.
Their statement read: “She passed away peacefully in hospital early this morning, Friday 27th September. An intensely private person, she was with friends and family at the end. She leaves two sons and five loving grandchildren who are devastated by the loss of their extraordinary mother and grandmother.
“We would like to take this opportunity to thank the wonderful staff at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital for their care and unstinting kindness during her final days.
“We thank you for all your kind messages and support and ask that you respect our privacy at this time.”
After making a name for herself on the stage, Maggie’s film debut came in 1956 in an un-credited role of a party guest in the drama ‘Child in the House’, but her screen breakthrough was portraying Bridget Howard in the film ‘Nowhere to Go’ which earned Maggie the first of her five BAFTA trophies, while in 1996 she was honoured with the prestigious BAFTA Academy Fellowship.
In 1969, she won the Academy Award for Best Actress for her performance in ‘The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie’.
Her second and final Oscar came in 1978 when she was named Best Supporting Actress for her portrayal of Diana Barrie in Herbert Ross’ anthology film ‘California Suite’.
King Charles led tributes to the acclaimed star and said he was “deeply saddened” by the news of her passing.
‘Harry Potter’ star Daniel Radcliffe – who starred as the titular boy wizard from 2001 until 2011 – made his screen debut alongside the late actress on a BBC adaptation of ‘David Copperfield’ just before they were both cast in the magical franchise, and he was left “heartbroken” by her death.

Kristin Scott Thomas confirms marriage to John Micklethwait

OHMYGOSSIP — Dame Kristin Scott Thomas has confirmed her wedding to John Micklethwait.
It was recently reported that the ‘Four Weddings and a Funeral’ star, 64, had tied the knot in secret with the Bloomberg editor-in-chief at an intimate ceremony in September, and now the fiercely private actress has shared some details about their special day.
Revealing the traditional British dish guests chowed down on, she told chef Ruth Rogers’ ‘Ruthie’s Table 4’ podcast: “We had coronation chicken. It was a treat, it was absolutely delicious.”
Host Ruth told listeners that the British-French actress is “basking in love and joy”.
Introducing her guest, she said: “Sitting here today, she is basking in love and the joy of just a few weeks ago getting married to the editor and my friend John Micklethwait.”
The ‘Slow Horses’ star didn’t divulge much more about their special day, but did share the special gift her sister had made for her.
She said: “She got all the family recipes that my mother had collected, from my great grandmother in Scotland, to my other grandmothers all over the place, on both sides of the family. She scanned them and made them into a book for me.”
Kristin was married once before to gynecologist François Olivennes, from 1987 until 2005, and has three children with him.
The ‘Fleabag’ actress also mentioned her ‘Slow Horses’ co-star Jack Lowden’s recent wedding to his ‘Mary Queen of Scots’ co-star Saoirse Ronan and said working on the British spy thriller series since 2022 has been “bliss” because of the “stability” it afforded her.
She said: “So much life happens in those four years, people have died, people have got born, people got divorced, people have got married. This year alone we have had two weddings, we had Jack’s and we had mine.
“I’ve been longing for stability and not tearing around the world and being able to sleep in the same bed for more than two weeks. Bliss. This is that sort of job. The same people behind the camera for four years.”
When previously asked about John, she told the Financial Times: “I’m not going to talk about him. I’m talking about me.”

Sarah Ferguson and her daughters call themselves ‘the tripod’

OHMYGOSSIP — Sarah, Duchess of York and her daughters Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie call themselves “the tripod”.
The 65-year-old author-and-philanthropist has shared that she and Beatrice, 36, and Eugenie, 34 – whose father is Prince Andrew – gave themselves the nickname as they always “support each other” through life’s ups and downs.
Talking about being “spoiled” by her girls at Christmas, she told Britain’s Bella magazine: “We spoil each other.
“We call each other ‘the tripod’ because we’re always there to support each other and it’s no different at Christmas.
“The girls and their husbands always get me the most thoughtful gifts and I try to pick something nice for them.”
Beatrice is currently pregnant with her second child with her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi – who has eight-year-old Wolfie from a previous relationship and three-year-old Sienna with the royal – and Eugenie has sons August, three, and Ernest, 15 months, with her spouse Jack Brooksbank.
And Sarah says Christmas is “all about the children”.
She said: “Christmas is all about the children, so the grandchildren are the centre of things these days.
“We love Charades. I’ve never been a good cook so I’m lucky enough to leave it to others.”
Sarah has spent the festive holiday at the royal family’s Sandringham Estate in Norfolk – but she refuses to lift the lid on what goes down.
She said: “I’ve been lucky to be invited to spend Christmas with the royal family in recent years, but I wouldn’t dream of talking about that.”
Sarah divorced disgraced royal Prince Andrew in 1996 after a decade together, but they still remain close to this day.
The 64-year-old royal – who is the brother of King Charles and son of the late Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip – has kept a low-profile since he came under fire over the fallout from his friendship with late paedophile billionaire Jeffrey Epstein and the claim he had sex with one of the financier’s trafficking victims Virginia Giuffre – which he denies.
Following the scandal, Andrew was stripped off his military titles and use of HRH.
However, Sarah promised his late mother that she would look out for him.
Sarah said on ITV’s ‘Loose Women’ about being there for Andrew during his “darkest times” despite not being a couple anymore: “We are longer divorced than married and I believe in the three c’s – communicate, compromise and compassion.
“That’s what I do with (Andrew.) We get on because, in the darkest time of my life, he was always there for me.
“In the darkest time of his life, I will be there for him. The Queen of England was there for him – his mum.
“I said to his mum before she died, ‘I will be there for him, I will help him on his journey.’
“We’ve all got journeys; we just need to be there with kindness and no judgement.”

Dolly Parton invites the royal family to visit Dollywood: ‘I’d love to have them’

OHMYGOSSIP — Dolly Parton wants the royal family to visit Dollywood.
The 78-year-old country music legend took over the Tennessee-based theme park in 1986 and is keen for Prince William, his wife Catherine, Princess of Wales, and their children Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, nine, and six-year-old Prince Louis, to fly out to see her.
She told Britain’s Closer magazine: “Oh, I would absolutely love for them to come to Dollywood, that would be fantastic! The kids could go on all the rides and we would treat them like royalty!
“I’d give Kate my mashed potatoes – I wouldn’t put on any airs for them. I would just let them enjoy what we enjoy, and I’m sure that’s the way they would want it. I would love to have those kids at Dollywood.”
Previously, Catherine was keen to meet the ‘Jolene’ hitmaker when she was on a press tour in London, but Dolly regretfully had to turn the invitation down because she was too busy.
She told Saga Exceptional magazine: “I only had one full day and I did not have a second to do anything else besides work. But make sure people know I didn’t turn the invitation down. I was honoured and flattered that she even asked me.”
Dolly felt “so bad” to have to say no to the Princess of Wales but knew that their meeting was not going to serve any purpose in terms of promoting her album and is hopeful that the invite may come again at some point in the future.
Speaking to Claudia Winkleman on BBC Radio 2, she said: “This time, Lordy, I even got invited to have tea with Kate.
“And I felt so bad… I couldn’t even go! They had all this stuff set up. Dolly continued: “And one of these days I’m going to get to do that… That would be great. She [Catherine] wasn’t going to promote my rock album, so I had to say no.”

Teddi Mellencamp doing her ‘best’ for children amid divorce

OHMYGOSSIP — Teddi Mellencamp is doing her “best” for her children amid her divorce from Edwin Arroyave.
The ‘Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ star, 43, is doing everything she can to keep her children’s “privacy protected” following the news that she and the security firm CEO – who have Slate, 12, Cruz, 10, and Dove, four, together – have ended their marriage.
Appearing on her ‘Two Ts in a Pod’ podcast with Tamra Judge on Tuesday (05.11.24), she said: “I am doing all right.
“At this point, I’m obviously only gonna share what I shared on social media. I just am trying — I don’t even know how to say this eloquently, but I’m just trying my hardest to make sure that my kids’ privacy is protected right now and that we’re able to have all of these conversations.”
Explaining why she released a public statement about the end of their relationship, she continued: “I just didn’t want it to blow up, and for anybody that’s curious why I would have posted it, posted a statement, it’s because when your name is recognisable and you file in the court system, it becomes public.
“I know that I am gonna keep working on feeling my best so that I can show up the best for my kids and my life and my work. I think that’s the biggest thing for me right now.”
The reality star – who is the daughter of famous musician John Mellencamp – admits she does feel like a “hypocrite” saying she doesn’t want to discuss her breakup and children because she discusses her pals on the Bravo show’s private lives.
She said: “Being somebody who recaps other people’s things, [it’s like], ‘Don’t be a hypocrite, Teddi.’
“But when it does come to this and children, I think there’s just room … it’s a little bit different than getting into ‘Jen Aydin reveals text exchange with Andy Cohen.’”
The couple cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their divorce.
In court documents obtained by TMZ, Teddi listed October 20 as the date of their split.
Teddi – who has been married to Edwin since 2011 – is seeking primary legal and physical custody of their children. However, she is open to visitation for her estranged husband.
What’s more, the TV star is seeking spousal support from Edwin.
Teddi’s social media statement read: “After a great deal of care and consideration, I have made the difficult decision to file for divorce. My priority is my children and ensuring that every care is taken with their privacy and wellbeing throughout this new chapter.
“Making a public statement is not something I wanted to do but in an effort to protect my family from undue speculation and rumors, I felt being open, honest and vulnerable was the best path forward. (sic)”

Tom Ford splashes £80m on new home in London’s Chelsea

OHMYGOSSIP — Tom Ford has splashed £80 million on a luxury abode in London’s affluent Chelsea.
The US billionaire fashion designer, 63, is said to have purchased the property for the staggering sum – which is believed to be one of the biggest real estate sales in the British capital this year, Bloomberg reports.
The property boasts nine bedrooms, a swimming pool, cinema, and a unique glass lift.
The former Gucci and YSL creative director is reported to have sold a property in nearby Regent’s Park for an eight-figure sum.
Ford – who previously owned a home at The Boltons in Chelsea – managed to save himself a whopping £1.6 million in tax as the sale took place before Britain’s Chancellor of the Exchequer Rachel Reeves announced the Labour government was upping stamp duty on second homes in her controversial budget last week.
Last year, the filmmaker paid a whopping $52 million on Jackie Kennedy Onassis’ childhood home.
The fashion muse – who sold his eponymous fashion label to Estée Lauder Cos. in a deal valued at around $2.8 billion – bought the Hamptons home from media producer David Zander.
The house sits on seven acres of land, just blocks from the Atlantic ocean and was originally listed for $55 million.
It was designed by architect Arthur C. Jackson and completed in 1917 and includes an eight-bedroom main home featuring tall casement windows, beamed ceilings.
The compound also includes a two-bedroom guesthouse, caretaker’s cottage, pool house and three-car garage with a workshop, along with a flower meadow.
Zander bought the property from retail executive Reed Krakoff and his wife Delphine for $24 million in 2018.
He made substantial renovations during his five years of ownership, including revamping the interiors and rebuilding parts of the exterior.
He previously told The Wall Street Journal: “Every time I think there’s a spot in the house that I love the most, I go and sit somewhere else and I love that the most.”
Back in the 1920s, the property was known as Lasata—a Native American word meaning “Place of Peace”—and owned by the former First Lady’s paternal grandfather John Vernou Bouvier Jr.
The home is believed to be where Onassis would often spend her summers as a child.

Kristin Cavallari: I’ve returned to the dating pool

OHMYGOSSIP — Kristin Cavallari is “dipping [her] toe back in the dating pool”.
The 37-year-old TV star split from Mark Estes in September, and Kristin has admitted that she’s already returned to dating.
The blonde beauty said on her ‘Let’s Be Honest’ podcast: “Here’s my thing. I think I’m just so f****** over Hollywood in general.
“I’m having people reach out to me right now, and I’ve had a couple, like, big people in Hollywood reach out to me … But there is nothing in me that wants to go out with these people. Whereas three years ago, I would have been like, ‘Okay. Yeah.'”
Kristin previously insisted that the 13-year age gap between herself and Mark wasn’t an issue. But she’s now keen to date someone her own age, and ideally, someone with a lower profile, too.
The ‘Very Cavallari’ star said: “I wouldn’t say it’s a deal breaker, but I am not looking to date anyone in entertainment. And, like, I will never date anyone from the DMs ever again because it attracts the wrong type of guy.”
Kristin was married to former NFL star Jay Cutler between 2013 and 2022. And the reality TV star remains open to the idea of tying the knot again.
Kristin – who has Camden, 12, Jaxon, ten, and Saylor, eight, with her ex-husband – said: “I’m telling you right now … My next boyfriend is gonna be my next husband. Okay? I’m already putting that out there.
“I can’t keep dating. Like, I am dating, but, like, I can’t keep doing it.”
Kristin announced her split from Jay in 2020, when the former couple released a joint statement.
They said on Instagram at the time: “With great sadness, after 10 years together we have come to a loving conclusion to get a divorce. We have nothing but love and respect for one another and are deeply grateful for the years shared, memories made, and the children we are so proud of. This is just the situation of two people growing apart. We ask everyone to respect our privacy as we navigate this difficult time within our family. (sic)”

Prince William pledges support to African wildlife rangers

OHMYGOSSIP — Prince William has pledged his support to wildlife rangers across Africa.
The Prince of Wales has acknowledged the risks that wildlife rangers face on a daily basis, and he’s announced a new life insurance policy – which has been set up by United for Wildlife, the Game Rangers Association of Africa and the Tusk Trust – for rangers across the continent.
He said at an event in Cape Town, South Africa: “Rangers are fundamental if we are to meet our global conservation targets for 2030 and prevent the dangerous tipping points that threaten our planet.
“These people do far more than protect wildlife. They are educators. They are community supporters. And they help regulate the sustainable use of natural resources.
“Yet, far too often, they lack sufficient support, with rangers in particular facing inadequate pay and protection.”
William, 42, stressed that rangers playing a crucial role in protecting wildlife.
He added: “We cannot protect our planet without a well-supported workforce.”
The new policy will ensure that 10,000 rangers have access to insurance cover, as well as professional development opportunities.
Meanwhile, William – who has three children with wife Catherine, Princess of Wales – recently admitted that Africa will always hold a “special place” in his heart.
The prince – who married Catherine in 2011 – explained that the continent has played a huge role in his life.
He said in a statement: “Africa has always held a special place in my heart – as somewhere I found comfort as a teenager, where I proposed to my wife and most recently as the founding inspiration behind the Earthshot Prize.
“It was in Namibia in 2018 that I realised the power of how innovative, positive solutions to environmental problems could drive transformative change for humans and nature.”
