King Charles to scale back Australia tour due to ongoing cancer treatment

OHMYGOSSIP — King Charles is set to scale back his visit to Australia amid his ongoing treatment for cancer.
The 75-year-old monarch and his wife Queen Camilla are due to tour Australia in the autumn but plans for a trip to New Zealand are set to be scrapped amid fears that the King is doing too much after being diagnosed with an undisclosed type of the disease in February.
A source told The Daily Mirror newspaper: “Naturally, it will be a bitter disappointment on both sides to not have the opportunity for the King and Queen to visit New Zealand.
“But all are aware of the King’s ongoing health issues and the need for him to pace himself. It’s very much hoped there will be further opportunities in the future.”
Insiders say that the Australian leg of the tour will be reduced to six days – with a two-day break before Charles and Camilla travel to Samoa for the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting.
An itinerary for the Australia visit includes the King meeting people affected by devastating floods caused by Cyclone Jasper in January and the country’s Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has confirmed that logistical planning for the royal tour is well under way.
He said: “The King has shown his compassion for Australians affected by recent natural disasters, just as Australians have shown compassion for the King following his cancer diagnosis.”
Deputy Prime Minister Richard Marles added: “There is an affection for King Charles. I know King Charles has a deep affection for Australia.”
Charles has a long connection to Australia dating back to the 1960s and would become the first sovereign to visit the country since his late mother Queen Elizabeth did so in 2011.
A palace source said: “Planning for an autumn tour continues subject to doctors’ advice and any necessary modifications.”

‘Before Folklore a lot of my music was very like dear diary today I felt a feeling…’ Taylor Swift tells Eras Tour crowd why her eighth album is so important

OHMYGOSSIP — Taylor Swift told fans at her ‘Eras Tour’ concert at London’s Wembley Stadium that her album ‘Folklore’ transformed her songwriting.
The 34-year-old pop superstar took to the stage at the iconic soccer venue on Friday night (21.06.24) and before playing her track ‘Betty’ she spoke about how she reinvented her music on her acclaimed 2020 LP.
Taylor told the sell-out crowd that ‘Folklore’ will always be a record that is special to her because it helped her grow as an artist.
She said: “‘Folklore’ is an album that I’m always going to be so proud of. When I play favourites with albums it tends to be the ones where I change things up, because that’s always the most exciting thing for me.
“‘Folkore’ was really unlike anything I’d had made before that, not just in the way that it sounded but also in the stories that I was telling. Before ‘Folklore’ a lot of my music was very like dear diary today I felt a feeling for, like, four seconds, here’s an entire song about it. Which is very fun to do, it’s very fun to write like that but it’s also fun to write the way I started to write on ‘Folkore’ which is creating fictional characters, make them go through stuff and feel things and have drama unfold and they have that happen to them and I write as the narrator, that’s a blast it turns out.”
Taylor – who worked on her eighth studio album with The National’s Aaron Dessner and Jack Antonoff – also told fans that writing the album helped her get through the COVID-19 pandemic and cope during the imposed lockdowns.
She added: “I think for me one thing that is very important about this album is that I started writing it two days into the pandemic and I think we were all looking for escapes during lockdown, we were so confused about what was going on in the world. We would just escape into either movies or books, TV or endless bottles of wine, or all of the above. One of the things I did to escape was to write ‘Folklore’ and this wasn’t just an album where I wrote songs, I had a whole aesthetic image of what the album was. It was like an imaginary word where I, like, lived in this cabin and in my imagination I was like a woman wondering through the woods at night holding a candle wearing a Victorian night gown, that was like my whole aesthetic. So I would just pretend that that what was going on instead of what was really going on and I was writing stories about different characters and this is a song I wrote about a girl named Betty.”
During that section of her staggering set, Taylor also performed ‘Cardigan’, ‘August’, ‘Illicit Affairs’ and ‘My Tears Ricochet’ from ‘Folklore’, as well as ‘Champagne Problems’, ‘Marjorie’ and ‘Willow’ from her follow-up album ‘Evermore’.
The 90,000-plus crowd at Wembley Stadium contained a host of famous faces, including Taylor’s American football player boyfriend Travis Kelce, her supermodel friend Cara Delevingne, ‘Bridgerton’ actress Nicola Coughlan, Prince William and his three children Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, nine, and six-year-old Prince Louis and fellow royals Zara and Mike Tindall.

Kanye West ‘splashed more than $50,000 on dinner party in Paris for pals’

OHMYGOSSIP — Kanye West reportedly splashed more than $50,000 on a dinner party in Paris for his friends.
The scandal-plagued rapper, 47, who was infamously dumped from a string of big-brand deals in the wake of his anti-Semitic outbursts and is being sued by a series of his former employees, is said to have paid the huge bill as he visits the French capital for Paris Fashion week alongside his 29-year-old wife Bianca Censori.
According to The Sun, Kanye spent $40,800 on wine at his bash as well as $3,100 on smoked salmon as he invited around 30 people to a private apartment in the Quartier Saint Germain des Pres.
The musician is said to have been joined by a group of “friends, French collaborators, and music and sports industry contacts all in town for the annual fashion parties”, an insider said.
They added: “Kanye loves to be a great host. He isn’t afraid to spend tons of money on food and drink.
“He loves Paris and French cuisine.”
Kanye apparently spent $40,000 on drinks alone for the evening, which is said to have included a wine list of five bottles of Pinot Noir, costing a $3,950 each, as well as Bordeaux bottles at $1,000 each and $7,440 worth of Dom Perignon champagne and six bottles of Cristal Brut.
The rapper is said to have paired the drink with fine caviar and top French-reared steak.
He reportedly also ordered 12 portions of Caviar Petrossian at $320 per 30 grams, along with $3,100 of smoked salmon, and $1,340 of steak.
It comes days after Kanye was accused of sending explicit messages about his sex life to his former assistant.
The ‘Jesus Walks’ rapper is said to have sent the apparently unsolicited notes to Lauren Pisciotta, who has lodged a harassment lawsuit against the entertainer.
Her suit was originally lodged on 3 June, and newly obtained extracts from the legal papers state Kanye allegedly sent a message to his ex-employee, including one that said he liked women he is dating cheat on him with more well-endowed men.
Kanye has denied all the allegations in the lawsuit, saying they are “baseless” and amount to “blackmail”.
He is also being sued by former Donda Academy employees, including a man named Benjamin Deshon Provo, who claims the rapper “berated” him because of the colour of his skin.
Another ex-staff member, Trevor Phillips, alleged in a suit lodged in April Kanye flaunted nude photos of a female friend to other colleagues and once simulated touching himself in front of him during a meeting.

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs scrubs Instagram clean

OHMYGOSSIP — Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs has scrubbed his Instagram clean.
The embattled Bad Boy Records founder, 54, who is facing a string of sexual assault cases, also removed the apology video he posted in May to say sorry after hotel footage emerged of him beating his 37-year-old former girlfriend in 2016.
He has left a bio on his account that says: “Listen to ‘The Love Album: Off the Grid’”, with a link to the Grammy nominated record.
Combs also hasn’t posted on his X profile since 4 February, but his profile remains live.
His Threads account is also still public, but he hasn’t been active on the site since August 2023.
The Instagram cleanse comes weeks after it was reported he missed his twin daughters’ prom amid his legal battles.
He is said to have been in Florida since federal agents raided his Miami and Los Angeles residences in March, and apparently was not present when his twin daughters Jessie and D’Lila, 17, attended their high school milestone earlier this month.
According to TMZ, Combs has been “missing some key milestones for his kids as his legal troubles mount”.
Combs’ twin daughters put on matching black dresses and posted celebratory snaps on Instagram to mark their prom without their father in sight.
TMZ stressed the scandal-hit performer has been a “pretty involved parent with his kids over the years – especially for the girls, who were actually with him when the raids went down back in March”.
It also stated federal authorities have not restricted his travel “in any way shape or form”.
TMZ said about Combs’ situation: “It’s frankly a precarious time, and it sounds like he’s trying to avoid roping his kids into the drama.”
Combs was hit by bombshell allegations in November 2023 when Combs’ long-term former girlfriend Cassie Ventura accused him of rape, physical violence and more in a lawsuit.
The former couple settled the following day for an undisclosed amount.
Combs then apologised in a video posted online when hotel surveillance footage from March 2016 surfaced showing him kicking, dragging and throwing an object at the singer.
He is being sued by multiple women for sexual assault, and has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing via his lawyer.
Along with daughters Jessie and D’Lila, the rapper had King with Kim Porter, who was killed by pneumonia aged 47 in 2018.
He also raised her son Quincy from her previous romance with Al B Sure!, 55, and co-parents son Justin, 30, daughter Chance and 19-month-old daughter Love, who he had with his exes Misa Hylton, Sarah Chapman and Dana Tran, respectively.

OHMYGOSSIP — Prince William has thanked Taylor Swift for a “great evening” after he posed for a selfie with the singer along with his children at her sold out London show.
The royal’s official Instagram account posted the snap, which featured his and his wife Catherine, Princess of Wales’ kids Prince George, 10, and Princess Charlotte, nine, on Saturday (22.06.24) afternoon – hours after the heir to the throne was videoed at the gig in Wembley Stadium on Friday night ‘dad dancing’ as he celebrated his 42nd birthday.
His and Catherine’s Instagram post captioned the image of him and his kids beaming alongside Taylor: “Thank you Taylor Swift for a great evening!”
Taylor, 34, also posted a snap she took after her show with William, George and Charlotte – which also featured her 34-year-old NFL player boyfriend Travis Kelce.
She said alongside the image: “Happy Bday M8! London shows are off to a splendid start.”
Taylor kicked off the UK leg of her ‘Eras Tour’ at Wembley in front of around 90,000 fans on Friday.
Footage of the gig posted on social media included a clip of William dancing in the crowd among thousands of her cheering Swiftie fans.
It showed Taylor on the stage in the distance as she performed ‘Shake it Off’ before panning around to show William shaking his arms and torso.
A post of the footage on X included the comment: “Prince William being a 1989 girlie is taking me OUT.”
William turned 42 on Friday and his wife Catherine, 42, marked the occasion by posting a snap of him leaping over sand dunes with their three children.
The royal posted the never-before-seen picture of her husband playing with their kids George, Charlotte, and six-year-old Prince Louis at the beach on Friday morning as she continues to largely stay out of the public eye as she receives preventative cancer treatment.

Eva Longoria left ‘sore’ after dancing all night at Victoria Beckham’s 50th birthday bash

OHMYGOSSIP — Eva Longoria was left “sore” after dancing all night at Victoria Beckham’s 50th birthday party.
The ‘Desperate Housewives’ actress, 49, was among a string of celebrity guests including Victoria’s former Spice Girls bandmates at the bash in London on 20 April.
She has now told People: “I danced all night and I was sore the next day. I was like, ‘Oh my god.’”
Eva said she strutted her stuff when Victoria joined Spice Girls Mel B, Mel C, Geri Halliwell-Horner and Emma Bunton for a reunion rendition of their 1996 hit ‘Mama’.
She added: “They all got up and sang their songs.”
Eva has been pals with Victoria and her husband David Beckham, 49. For years and is godmother to their 12-year-old daughter Harper.
She opened up about Victoria’s party after it was claimed she has “no bad blood” with her former ‘Desperate Housewives’ co-stars Teri Hatcher and Nicollette Sheridan.
The actress fuelled talk she was feuding with her fellow performers, 59 and 60 respectively, by not naming them in a list of stars from the ABC show with whom she still keeps in touch.
But an insider has now told Page Six: “(There is) no bad blood between (any of the co-stars.)
“(Felicity Huffman and Marcia Cross) are just simply the ones (Eva) keeps in touch with.”
Eva had said when the Daily Mail asked with which castmates she still keeps in touch with: “I talk to Felicity all the time. I talk to Marcia a lot, but the one probably I talk to most is Ricardo (Chavira), my husband. And Jesse (Metcalfe.)”
Despite the insistence there is no feud, Eva has in the past said she was “bullied” by an unnamed co-worker on the set of ‘Desperate Housewives’.
In 2018, she did not mention ‘Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman’ actress Teri when asked with whom from “Desperate Housewives” she was still friendly.

‘The Crown’ actress Dame Imelda Staunton ‘inconsolable’ when she heard Queen Elizabeth had died

OHMYGOSSIP — Dame Imelda Staunton was “inconsolable” when she heard Queen Elizabeth had died while she was playing the monarch on ‘The Crown’.
The 68-year-old actress portrayed Her Majesty in the final two seasons of Netflix’s royal drama – gaining nominations for the British Academy Television Award for Best Actress and Golden Globe Award for Best Actress for her work – and said she and her castmates were warned on set just before the monarch’s passing aged 96 in September 2022 was announced there may be “bad news” on the way.
She told The Daily Telegraph about breaking down when it was confirmed the Queen was dead: “We’d filmed in the morning, then at lunchtime the first AD (assistant director) came up to me and said, ‘We just have to warn you, we might hear some bad news later.’
“He said, ‘Do you want to carry on or go home?’
“I said, ‘No, I’ll carry on.’
“And then we went home at 6pm, and the news came, and I was completely inconsolable.
“The ground really was shaking. So that was new territory for me.”
Filming was suspended on ‘The Crown’ for the 10 days of national mourning for the late monarch, and resumed the day after the Queen’s funeral.
It started with Imelda shooting a scene of the Queen unveiling a plaque and she said it was “difficult” for her castmates to see her dressed as the dead monarch.
She added: “We had a number of supporting actors that day, and they were looking at the Queen, and I think that was more difficult for them than it was for me.
“I do remember it was very quiet on the set.”
Imelda added playing the Queen was “a great place to be” as it put all her skills to the test.
She added that as research for the part she buried herself in “watching footage, working on her voice, movement, things like that – absorbing her somehow”.
The acting veteran told the Telegraph: “Being the Queen was a great place to be… being wholly another person is a very interesting journey.
“As an actor that’s what we do, and you want to bring everything you can to it, but some parts don’t demand that.”
Imelda received a coveted damehood in King Charles’ Birthday Honours List earlier this month after a career of more than 40 years that has seen her reach national treasure status thanks to roles in projects from ‘Harry Potter’ to ‘Vera Drake’, in which she played the famed backstreet abortionist.

Hugh Bonneville fears being cancelled by ‘mob’ is now ‘instantaneous’

OHMYGOSSIP — Hugh Bonneville fears being cancelled by a “mob” is now “instantaneous”.
The ‘Downton Abbey’ actor, 60, plays a grouchy “dinosaur” news anchor in the upcoming TV drama ‘Douglas is Cancelled’, and ahead of its first episode being shown on Thursday (27.06.24) he warned so-called cancel culture is now at a dangerous level as it’s driven by the astonishing “speed” of the mainstream and social media.
He told The Herald newspaper when asked what the ITV series has to say about the cancelling trend: “It’s very interesting to see how it’s playing out. Cancel culture has been around since the word scapegoat was used in the Bible for people being thrown out of society for not holding generally accepted views. It’s always been around us, it’s nothing new.
“What’s different today is that the pile-on of the mob is now instantaneous. The speed at which truth and lies accelerate via mainstream and social media is exponential and extraordinary.
“The way a metaphorical corpse can be mutilated and stamped upon by a mob anonymised by fingers typing at warp speed: ‘Right, killed that one several times over. Who’s next?’”
Written by ‘Doctor Who’ showrunner Steven Moffat, 62, ‘Douglas is Cancelled’ follows Hugh’s nationally beloved newsreader Douglas who is cancelled over a misogynist joke he was overheard telling at a wedding. His wife is a warped tabloid newspaper editor and their daughter is a 19-year-old “woke” girl who repeatedly talks about “microaggression”.
Along with cancel culture, the show also references the #MeToo movement, workplace gender dynamics and young people on social media.
Hugh added about his character: “Douglas is a perfectly decent, pleasant man who’s doing a good job and is well liked for what he does. He thinks so, too.
“Even when, a couple of years ago, he welcomed a younger colleague, Madeline, onto the sofa beside him he felt secure, safe in the knowledge that the warm, avuncular relationship he had with his protegee wasn’t a threat to his own position.”
Chatting about whether Douglas is smug, Hugh added: “I wouldn’t say so. Unguardedly confident, definitely. But, just as the dinosaurs didn’t know they were a dying breed, Douglas is blithely unaware that the next generation is smarter, more streetwise and capable of sheer ruthlessness when the chips are down. Or when wrongs have not been righted.
“That’s his blind spot. His fatal flaw. That’s what’s at the heart of his character. Hubris.
He added about the show and its themes: “It taps into so many strands of what’s current in terms of our views on ethics, behaviour in the workplace and in our wider society, what we can and can’t say, what we can and can’t do, what’s acceptable, what’s beyond the pale.”

Kate Nash’s life ‘saved’ by landing ‘GLOW’ role

OHMYGOSSIP — Kate Nash’s life was “saved” by her landing a role in ‘GLOW’.
The singer, 36, shot to stardom with her 2007 single ‘Foundations’, but said she ended up losing all her music career money as she trusted the “wrong people” with her cash – which resulted in her moving back in with her parents before she fought back by getting a part on the American comedy-drama series about female wrestlers.
She told The Guardian: “When ‘GLOW’ came along, it saved my life. I’d trusted the wrong people with my money, which meant I had to sell my flat and move back in with my parents.
“I’d worked so hard and had nothing to show for it. The worst part was that I knew I wasn’t going to give up.
“I briefly thought I should become a teacher instead, but then I realised: ‘How are you going to do that? You don’t even have a degree because you didn’t get into any universities.’”
Kate plays Rhonda ‘Britannica’ Richardson in ‘GLOW’ – the 2017 Netflix show about the 1980s syndicated female professional wrestling circuit ‘Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling’.
She added about her co-stars on the series helping her get her career and life back on track: “Having this career is about getting your way through it. Push push, tour tour.
“Other times you get a break that saves you. Fifteen female wrestlers saved me. “The experience of being with so many women who gassed me up, loved my music and put value on me in a way I didn’t, was incredible.”
Kate also said the show was life-changing as it was the first time she had encountered “professionalism” at work instead of the chaos of the music business – which she said was filled with men trying to bed her.
“That show was the first time I’d encountered an HR department and professionalism in the workplace.
“I remember thinking: ‘What? No one here is drunk or high?’
“If something happened that was inappropriate, I had people I could go to. In the music industry, it was so chaotic.
“When I was 17, I’d be hanging out with a bunch of men who would be buying shots and everyone would be trying to get you drunk and (have sex with) you. “There was nobody to turn to.
“Before ‘GLOW’, I was used to meeting people defensively, probably because of the way the media treated me.
“I’d think: ‘You probably don’t like me. You think I’m an idiot. I’m a joke to you.’
“I’ve always been an open person in spite of that, but I realised I had a chip on my shoulder. Being surrounded by all those supportive strangers changed my life.”
Kate added she is now in a “nice place where I’m signed to a new label and out of survival mode for the first time in years”.

Cara Delevingne reveals the surprise ‘pain’ she suffered after going sober

OHMYGOSSIP — Cara Delevingne suffered surprise “pain” from going sober.
The model, 31, is launching her alcohol-free wine Della Vite and said when she ditched drink almost two years ago she thought she would end up feeling better on mornings after she went out and dodged booze – but instead experienced “terrible” headaches the following day as she was ending up drinking sugar-packed soft drinks.
She told The Sun in a chat to promote her new wine: “Nearly two years ago when I got sober, I thought, ‘I probably won’t go out as much, my life’s probably going to change’.
“And to be honest I went out way more than before – which is great, apart from when you go out, you drink a hell of a lot of sugar.
“I’d wake up in the morning with a terrible headache, and I was like, ‘What?’
“I’m sober to be healthy and to be happy. Instead, I feel left with pain.”
Cara decided to create her wine brand to keep away the headaches, and added:. “We wanted to make something that was beautiful tasting, great quality but low sugar and low calories.
“I just like having something in my hand. For me, it was never about the alcohol.
“Whether it’s a wedding or someone has broken up with someone, you reunite over a glass of something.
“It’s not about being sober, it’s about being yourself. When I want to go out to have fun, I want to celebrate.”
In 2023, Cara told Vogue how she had checked herself into rehab after “heartbreaking” images published by DailyMail.com in 2022 gave her a wakeup call.
The model said she ended up reflecting on her mental health and after sparking concern with a series of troubled public appearances.
She told Vogue about how she previously had not been ready to address her demons until she fell into a “bad place”: “I’ve had interventions of a sort, but I wasn’t ready. That’s the problem.
“I hadn’t seen a therapist in three years. I just kind of pushed everyone away, which made me realise how much I was in a bad place.
“I always thought that the work needs to be done when the times are bad, but actually the work needs to be done when they’re good.
“The work needs to be done consistently. It’s never going to be fixed or fully healed but I’m okay with that, and that’s the difference… before I was always into the quick fix of healing, going to a weeklong retreat or to a course for trauma, say, and that helped for a minute, but it didn’t ever really get to the nitty-gritty, the deeper stuff.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Carol Burnett hands bartenders an instruction card to follow detailing her “exact” recipe for a cosmopolitan.
The 91-year-old veteran actress of theatre, musicals, TV and film was honoured on Thursday (20.06.24) by getting her hands and feet plastered into the ground outside the famous TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, California, and one of the raft of star guests at the ceremony, Laura Dern, revealed her cocktail habit during the tribute.

They created a similar card, which replaced the instructions for Carol’s ideal cosmopolitan with an image of the star standing in front of the famed Hollywood attraction was featured.
Laura said about how they delivered news of the tribute to Carol: “Jayme and I are together, one virtually and one in person, and said, ‘We made up this card because you’ve inspired us so much as producers and everything you’ve done, and we love the card you’ve done for bartenders, so we wanted to give you one of our new cards’.
“She takes it, and she’s like, ‘Wait, what?’ And it was the card with her likeness. And then we told her.”
Jayme added Carol was so surprised by the honour, which came within two weeks of them giving her the card, that she “burst into tears”.
Also at Carol’s TCL ceremony was Dick Van Dyke, 98, who starred alongside her on ‘The Carol Burnett Show’, which ran for 11 seasons from 1967 to 1978.
The ceremony was also attended by Bob Mackie, Allison Janney, Bill Hader, Jane Lynch, Lisa Ann Walter, Bob Odenkirk and Maya Rudolph, with Jimmy Kimmel speaking during the event.

Amy Poehler tackles ‘painful’ stage when parents question if they are ‘needed’ by their kids

OHMYGOSSIP — Amy Poehler says it is “painful” when parents hit the stage where they question if they are “needed” in their children’s lives.
The 52-year-old ‘Parks and Recreation’ actress is raising two teen boys – Archie, 15, and 13-year-old Abel – who she has with her actor ex-husband Will Arnett, 54, and has now opened up about her views on the transition mothers and fathers go through as their kids grow.
She told People: “That’s a painful process as an adult, as a parent. I relate just to that feeling of, ‘In what way am I needed?’”
But despite the transition being “difficult”, Amy added about ultimately finding it exciting and inspiring: “I actually love that period. I find it really satisfying and exciting and fulfilling and difficult and challenging.”
Amy has just finished her voice role work as the emotion Joy on the ‘Inside Out 2’ animated movie, which sees its 13-year-old main character Riley battle a jumble of inner emotions voiced by other stars – including sadness – as she navigates puberty and high school.
Amy recently opened up about parenting on Dax Shepard’s ‘Armchair Expert’ podcast, saying it isn’t always easy giving advice to her kids.
She said: “Sometimes I see them disconnect when I’m talking.”
The actress added the only way her children openly express their issues with her is by her stopping herself from telling tales from her own childhood to keep them on track and identify with their issues.
She said: “So I’ve got teens now and I am learning that the way to keep them talking is to not do the second part – to do the part of, ‘That happened to me too’.
“As well intentioned and as sensitive and thought out and connected as the second part is I think it gets kids feeling, like, expectation – they wanna do it for you.
“I just find for me, when I start to (give advice), it’s where I lose them.”

“I asked an artist who I was such a huge fan of to be on one of the songs, and she said yes. London, we are so lucky because when I asked Hayley Williams to come to this show, she said yes.”
The surprise songs segment also saw ‘The Tortured Poets Department’ track ‘thanK you aIMee’ for the first time, mashing it up with ‘Mean’.

Jonathan Majors’ faith ‘tested’ but ‘strengthened’ by assault and harassment convictions

OHMYGOSSIP — Jonathan Majors’ faith has been “tested” but “strengthened” by his assault and harassment convictions.
The ‘Creed III’ actor, 34, is finishing a year of court-ordered domestic violence intervention program as part of his sentencing and reflected on his legal troubles while accepting the perseverance award at the 2024 Hollywood Unlocked Impact Awards.
He said when picking up the trophy onstage at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles on Friday (21.06.24): “I reckon folks want to know about this last year. “As a black man in the criminal justice system, I felt anger. I felt sadness, hurt, surprise.
“When they snatched me up out of my apartment in handcuffs, I didn’t feel like all that.
“I didn’t feel like Jonathan Majors… I felt like a little scared, weak boy. Despite the support and the evidence that was in my favour I knew s*** was bad. It was bad because of who I was and what I am.”
Majors also admitted to his “shortcomings” in his speech, adding: “We live in a world where men – black men in particular – are propped up as either superheroes or super villains.
“But I’ve come to realise, me, personally, I ain’t none of that.
“I’m imperfect. I have shortcomings, I acknowledge them. I love my craft.”
Revealing how his faith has been both “tested” and “has been strengthened by this testimony”, he went on: “I’ve sat in that pitch black, and what I’ve learned is that we catch a glimpse of light, you run as hard and as fast as you can towards it.”
Jonathan also used his speech to thank his family, girlfriend Meagan Good and celebrities including Will Smith, Tyler Perry and Whoopi Goldberg for their support.
Addressing Meagan, 42, directly, he said: “I love you with all my strength, with all my heart.
“You done carried me so, so, so, so many nights.”
Jonathan concluded by saying: “I received this award not just as an acknowledgement that I have persevered, but as a command to be there for others and to help them win and if their trials come.”
The fourth annual Hollywood Unlocked Impact Awards were hosted by Tiffany Haddish, with designer Christian Louboutin getting the Innovator Award and rapper Cardi B the Inspiration Award.
A jury found Majors guilty in December of one count of misdemeanour third-degree assault and one of second-degree harassment in connection to a 2023 altercation with then-girlfriend Grace Jabbari, 31, who testified as part of the trial.

Elon Musk quietly welcomed another child into the world

OHMYGOSSIP — Elon Musk has become a father for the 12th time.
The 52-year-old billionaire reportedly welcomed his third child into the world with Neuralink executive Shivon Zilis – with whom he also has two-year-old twins Strider and Azure – earlier this year, though it is not known what sex the baby is, or their name.
A new report from Bloomberg stated: ” He’s fathered at least 12 children, six of them in the past five years—three with the musician Grimes and three with Neuralink Corp.’s director of special projects, Shivon Zilis, including one who hasn’t been known to the public until now.
“That child was born earlier this year, according to people familiar with the matter, who would only discuss it on condition of anonymity.
“Zilis declined to comment, and Musk didn’t respond to inquiries.”
Elon also has 20-year-old twins and 18-year-old triplets with ex-wife Justine Wilson, and the pair tragically lost their first child due to sudden infant death syndrome at just 10 weeks old. He is also father to X, four, Exa, aka Y, two, and baby Techno, who is known as Tau, with singer Grimes.
The ‘Genesis’ hitmaker – whose real name is Claire Boucher – previously hinted at issues with Elon and Shivon.
In a now-deleted post shared to X, she wrote in September: “Tell Shivon to unblock me and tell Elon to let me see my son or plz respond to my lawyer.(sic)”
But the ‘Crystal Ball’ singer revealed three days later that things are amicable between her and Shivon.
She wrote on the platform: “Hey, I wud prefer to not breathe any more life into this current press cycle but I want to de-escalate the narrative atm.
“I spoke with Shivon at length finally, which was long overdue. This wasn’t her fault, plz don’t be angry at her! We respect each other a lot and we’re excited to become friends and have the kids grow up together.
“Women are so often pitted against each other. Speaking with Shivon, it’s very evident she’s an amazing human and we both just want what’s best for our kids.(sic)”
She also admitted she wished she could show “how cute little Techno is” following the revelation in Elon’s biography that they had had a third child together, but stressed her priority is currently keeping her kids “out of the public eye”.
Shivon later responded to Grimes and praised the singer as a “total bada**”.
She wrote: “At the end of the day it all ended up for the best!
“Thank you for taking the time to really connect and understand each other. So glad we had such a wonderful talk, was insanely overdue. You’re a total bada** and I respect you very much as well. I can’t wait for kiddo play date and congrats on baby Tau as well!(sic)”
