Emma Roberts ‘loved training with NASA’ for film role

OHMYGOSSIP — Emma Roberts trained with NASA for her latest film role.
The 33-year-old actress plays Tiffany ‘Rex’ Simpson in the new rom-com ‘Space Cadet’, and Emma has admitted to loving working with NASA experts before shooting the movie.
She told Us Weekly: “I loved going in like the anti-gravity spinny thing. I don’t know what it’s called.
“My character had to be bummed out in that scene and I couldn’t stop laughing.”
By contrast, Desi Lydic, Emma’s co-star, was less enthusiastic about her NASA experience.
She shared: “It terrifies me. I don’t like being in elevators. I don’t like roller coasters. I’m not a thrill-seeking person.
“I have so much admiration for anyone who would want to do that and especially the women who are entering into this field because it’s such a male-dominated space.”
Meanwhile, Emma recently revealed that she loved working with Kim Kardashian on ‘American Horror Story’.
The 43-year-old beauty joined the cast of the anthology horror series for season 12 of the show, and Emma relished the experience of working with her showbiz pal.
She said on the ‘Table for Two’ podcast: “She is one of the most prepared actors I’ve worked with.
“I mean, I’ve come to work sometimes and people – that I won’t name, but you know who – they don’t know their lines at all, which, whatever, it’s fine, we all have those days. But she knew every single line.”
Emma noted that Kim displayed an impressive level of self-confidence on set.
The actress said: “She also will just look you in the eye and do it. To be that open and vulnerable – and I get embarrassed sometimes and I’ve been acting for 20 years – she’s super professional, confident.”

Emilia Clarke ‘has a lot of acting left in her’

OHMYGOSSIP — Emilia Clarke has “a lot more acting” left in her before she switches her focus to directing.
The 37-year-old star is best known for playing Daenerys Targaryen in the HBO fantasy series ‘Game of Thrones’, and Emilia has confirmed that she plans to keep acting for many more years.
Asked when she plans to step behind the camera, Emilia told PEOPLE: “Oh my goodness, down the road, for sure. It’s something I would love.
“I mean, my favourite thing is to help people put themselves on tape, for auditions. I’m like, ‘Yeah, I’ll do it.’ I love it. I absolutely love it.
“Right now, though, I feel like I have a lot more acting first left in me.”
Emilia feels like directing is a much bigger commitment.
However, she still plans to try to her hand at directing later in her career.
Emilia said: “The thing about being a director is you need to take out two years of your life to just solely do that one thing. And I’m like, ‘Yeah, but I’d kind of want to be acting more than I’d wanted to be directing right now.’ But I would love for that to be where my career ends up. That’d be amazing.”
Meanwhile, Emilia recently admitted that she “still can’t” watch ‘House of the Dragon’, the ‘Game of Thrones’ spin-off show.
The London-born actress – who starred on ‘Game of Thrones’ between 2011 and 2019 – told PEOPLE: “I still can’t [watch the show]. I just don’t know what it is.”
Emilia has very fond memories of her time on the HBO series, and because of that, the actress feels it would be “odd” to watch the spin-off show.
She shared: “I feel so content and happy with what my experience was, that I think watching the new one would just feel so odd, I think.”

Lupita Nyong’o wants to ‘keep things to herself’

OHMYGOSSIP — Lupita Nyong’o is determined to keep her personal life out of the spotlight.
The 41-year-old actress has been romantically linked to actor Joshua Jackson in recent months – but Lupita wants her private life to remain private.
The Hollywood star – who split from TV commentator Selema Masekela in 2023 – told PEOPLE: “There’s so much of my life that is public, to also make my personal life a part of the public conversation, it’s a liability.
“What I learned is when things go south, then recovering from that moment takes longer because everybody knows.
“So in the name of just being allowed to have relationships that mean a lot to me, and grow from them on my own terms … I want to keep things to myself.”
Lupita has previously been much more open about her love life.
But the actress has now made a conscious decision to adopt a different approach.
She said: “There’s a lack of control. I don’t have control in things … I’ll say this: What’s wonderful about social media is I get a say in what people know about me.
“But, there are parts of my life that I have no control over what people know. And it is unnerving. It’s saddening at times – I’d say even disappointing and frustrating. But then I can’t do anything about that.
“So what I can do is safeguard what I share as much as possible, and then leave the rest to God.”
Last year, a source revealed that Lupita and Joshua were trying to keep their romance “under the radar”.
The insider told Us Weekly: “Joshua and Lupita have been dating for a very short while now. They’re focusing on keeping their relationship under the radar as much as possible.”

Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard ‘want to set a good example for their kids’

OHMYGOSSIP — Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard are determined to set a good example for their children.
The celebrity duo – who have daughters Lincoln, 11, and Delta, nine – are keen to ensure their kids eat healthily and learn from the example of their parents.
Dax, 49 – who has a degree in anthropology – told E! News: “Anthropologically speaking, we crave sugar because it was so scarce throughout history and because nothing that’s ever been poisonous has tasted really sweet.
“But the reality is, it doesn’t make us feel good. So we talk about a lot about the outcome.”
Despite this, Kristen and Dax don’t want to put too much pressure on their children.
The 43-year-old actress explained: “Allowing my kids to see that it’s something adults struggle with, and that we have to fight the need for wanting ice cream all the time, it makes them feel like we’re all on the same team.”
Kristen previously admitted that she relishes the challenges of motherhood.
The Hollywood star also revealed that she often encounters “ridiculous” things in her family life.
The blonde beauty told ‘TODAY’: “Every day is something comical.
“Every day when you’re raising kids, you feel like you could cry or crack up and just scream ‘This is ridiculous!’ because there’s so much nonsense, whether it’s what they’re saying to you or the fact that there’s avocado or poop on every surface.”
Kristen’s experience has also made her more appreciative of her own mom.
She said: “I was very much a rule-follower, yet rejected by instinct every single thing my mom wanted.
“‘I’d love you to wear this dress.’ ‘That’s the only dress I don’t want to wear today’ would be my instinct. And I now feel so apologetic.
“But seeing some of that in my girls, I realised I have to nurture their desire to be autonomous individuals. But it will be difficult.”

The former ‘Vanderpump Rules’ star – who previously had a months-long affair with Tom Sandoval – said on her ‘Rachel Goes Rogue’ podcast: “He told me one thing and his actions were different.
“I asked him not to post on social media because it was too soon in the relationship. We were dating for a month.”
Rachel explained that she took the decision to end their relationship after he “updated his Facebook profile picture” to a photo of the former couple.
She added: “I had to end it. It was hard. It was sad because we had a good connection, good conversation and he was emotionally stable and emotionally intelligent.”
Rachel is best-known for her controversial affair with Tom, which led to his split from Ariana Madix.
Rachel subsequently took to social media to issue a public apology.
She wrote on Instagram at the time: “I want to apologize for my actions and my choices foremost to Ariana, and to my friends and the fans so invested in our relationships. There is no excuse, I am not a victim and I must own my actions and I deeply regret hurting Ariana. (sic)”
Rachel also promised to reflect on her mistakes.
She said: “I am reflecting on my choices, speaking to a counselor and I am learning things about myself such as my patterns of codependency and addiction to being and feeling loved. I have sought emotional validation through intimate connections that are not healthy without regard for my own well-being, sometimes negatively affecting others and often prioritizing the intimate connection over my friendships. I am taking steps to understand my behavior and make healthier choices. (sic)”

OHMYGOSSIP — Nick and Vanessa Lachey “make time to prioritise each other”.

Nick – who has Camden, 11, Brooklyn, nine, and Phoenix, seven, with his wife – told PEOPLE: “Sometimes you have to be deliberate. You have to make deliberate attempts because the spontaneity, the romance, whatever you want to call it that existed pre-kids, it just can’t exist the same way.
“And I would argue that it shouldn’t exist the same way because your priority should be your kid, but you have to also make time to prioritise each other.
“And if you lose sight of that and lose track of that, then I think that’s when you can get into some trouble.”
Nick stressed that there should be “no shame” in approaching any romance in such a “deliberate” way.
The singer explained: “Make it deliberate. There’s no shame in that. You’ve got to make it deliberate.
“Make time for each other, make it a scheduled thing if you have to, but make sure you give that to each other.”
Nick also identified good communication as another key to their happiness.
The pop star – who was previously married to Jessica Simpson – said: “We’ve always said and been very vocal about the fact that you got to remember where it started and stay true to that. And you’ve got to make time for each other, whether it’s a vacation together or even a weekend together or a night together.
“There’s nothing more important in our lives, or in life, than your children. But you also have to always honour and respect and prioritise the relationship that got you those kids. So that’s what we always try to maintain.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Susan Lucci refuses to be defined by her age.
The 77-year-old actress has urged other women of a similar age to not “count yourself out”.

She shared: “I remember when I turned 60. I called my mother. I was having a lot of trouble with that particular number, and I called my mother and I said, ‘Mom, how did you deal with it? And how are you dealing with now?’ … And there was a little pause on the other end and she said, ‘Well, I just don’t think about it.’ And I thought, you know what? That is the best answer anyone could give me.”
Susan now refuses to be labelled or pigeonholed because of her age.
She said: “Don’t put any labels on yourself. Don’t let the number define you.”

Susan is famed for her age-defying looks – but the actress insisted that there’s no real secret to her appearance.
She said: “I probably do a lot of the same things that we all do.
“I will say that we all get a certain gene pool, and I was really lucky. Both my parents had really great skin.”

The 27-year-old singer – who was diagnosed with Tourette’s syndrome in 2022 – was seen hanging out with the likes of Noel Gallagher and Cara Delevingne at Worthy Farm.
An eyewitness told The Sun newspaper: “Lewis looked so happy.

“Given how hard his last visit to Worthy Farm was, it was so nice seeing him back here.”
In 2023, Lewis struggled through his performance at Glastonbury, as he dealt with the symptoms of the neurodevelopmental disorder.
The award-winning star told the crowd at the time: “I recently took three weeks off just because I’ve been non stop the past year and I wanted to take a wee break from my head for my mental health.

Lewis subsequently announced that he planned to take a break from performing live, as he focused on his wellbeing.
The ‘Someone You Loved’ hitmaker explained: “I feel like I’ll be taking another wee break over the next couple of weeks so you probably won’t see much of me for the rest of the year maybe even. But when I do come back, when I do see you, I hope you’re all still up for watching.”

Kiefer Sutherland ‘took success for granted’

OHMYGOSSIP — Kiefer Sutherland took his early success “for granted”.
The 57-year-old star enjoyed a great run of success during the first ten years of his career, but Kiefer struggled to cope when the opportunities began to dry up.
The ‘Three Musketeers’ star told The Times newspaper: “I took the films that I did in my twenties for granted.
“For the first ten years of my career, everything was going well. Then all of a sudden, the opportunities went away. It was devastating.
“I was forced to make a decision: I could either make a bunch of bad films, or I could stop for a little while until I got something I wanted to do. So I took some time off.”
Kiefer ultimately decided to take a step back from the entertainment industry.
But, in the early 2000s, he was cast as Jack Bauer in the hit drama series ’24’ and that proved to be a turning point in his career.
He shared: “I roped and rodeo-ed for ten years. I had a small farm in Montana. I absolutely adored roping. Then ’24’ happened and I became immersed in that for another decade.”

“I certainly wish I hadn’t taken the car [he stole a car when he was a teenager]. That was just me wanting to drive and feel older.
“There are things I wish I had done differently, but I’m grateful for some of the things I had the courage to do.
“When I left home it was the first time that teenagers were playing teenagers on screen, so I did that at the right time.”

Olivia Culpo and Christian McCaffrey tie the knot

OHMYGOSSIP — Olivia Culpo and Christian McCaffrey are married.
The 32-year-old model and her NFL star partner tied the knot in her home state of Rhode Island on Saturday (29.06.24) and they chose a chapel in Watch Hill because Christian always wanted to wed in a church.
Olivia told Vogue.com: “That was our number one priority. It’s a covenant. It’s the beginning of the rest of your life—and it’s the union and bond of two people forever.”
Olivia also revealed she chose a long-sleeve crepe crew neck Dolce and Gabbana ballgown because she wanted the dress to highlight the seriousness of her commitment to Christian.
She explained: “I didn’t want it to exude sex in any way, shape, or form. I wanted it to feel effortless and as if it’s complimenting me, not overpowering me. There’s so much beauty and simplicity.
“It was exactly the same as the original sketch. This is the first, last, and only wedding dress I tried on.
“When I think about Christian and what he loves and the moments that he thinks that I’m most beautiful, it’s absolutely in something like this: timeless, covered, and elegant.”
Olivia paired the dress with a 16-foot lace veil and opted for minimal makeup, with no mascara and no eyebrow gel.
The pair announced their engagement in April 2023 after four years of dating and Olivia previously explained that she wanted to stick to the old wedding tradition of refusing to let her beau see her in her wedding dress until she walks down the aisle.
She told PEOPLE magazine: “I know for sure we’re not going to do a first look, so he won’t see me until I’m walking down the aisle.
“I think that that’s a little less common these days.”
The couple are yet to settle on an exact date for the ceremony but Olivia has revealed that she is trying to take a “laid-back approach” to the occasion to avoid getting stressed.
Olivia added that planning the wedding had been “logistically complicated” as she tried to keep guests satisfied but expressed her confidence that everything would go to plan.
She said: “It’s just logistically complicated
“Figuring out what everyone’s going to wear, figuring out, figuring out where everyone’s going to stay, making sure that everybody’s happy…
“I feel like as a people pleaser, I want to make sure that everybody else is having the best time ever, but I know that everything will fall into place. I feel really good about it.”

“I worked 10 days under an IV drip. I don’t even know how. About three days of it I was normal and then something happened to me.

Katherine Jenkins’ secret to a happy marriage

OHMYGOSSIP — Katherine Jenkins credits her successful marriage to remembering to be her “husband’s girlfriend”.
The 44-year-old singer has been married to Andrew Levitas for a decade and she’s been guided by advice from an older couple to maintain the “fun” and flirtiness in their relationship.
She told Britain’s HELLO! magazine: “We have friends, an older couple, who are happily married, and I often ask them for advice.
“I remember him saying to me once, ‘Make sure you’re always your husband’s girlfriend – meaning be that fun person, go out on dates. That doesn’t have to stop just because you’re married. You still need to flirt and spend time together and that always stuck with me.”
The couple have two children, Aaliyah, eight, and six-year-old Xander and while both have inherited her love of music, Katherine thinks it is her son who is more likely to follow in her footsteps.
She said: “[Aaliyah] is sassy and courageous with a great sense of adventure and the performer gene. She does musical theatre and has joined the school choir. It makes me smile.
“Even if she never does anything with it, I see her with the buzz I used to have, that excitement from singing with people. I’m so happy she’s found that.
“[Xander] is the one who might end up singing one day.
“He’s got a very similar tone to the one I had when I was his age and I can tell he likes music. He’s cautious and kind and funny and reminds me of my dad.”
But the opera favourite won’t be pushing her kids into anything.
She said: “I want my children to decide what’s in their heart and if they decide that’s what they want to do, I’ll support and help them.
“But I don’t want them to feel any pressure.
“I want them to be able to love music and have that as a tool in their life because it’s something they enjoy.
“If anything else comes from it, that’s a bonus.”

Eva Longoria calls for change in Hollywood

OHMYGOSSIP — Eva Longoria says Hollywood needs to change.
The 49-year-old actress – who first found fame on soapy TV drama ‘Desperate Housewives’ – insisted that while Hollywood is seen as progressive, it still has a long way to go before there is equality for women and minorities.
She told Grazia magazine: “You know, people think Hollywood is a liberal, progressive industry but it’s not. It would be great to have gender equity in all positions, we just don’t. We have fewer female directors and fewer Latinos in front of the camera than we did a couple of years ago. So we’re actually going in the wrong direction, even though the perception is that we’re doing so great.”
However, Eva has faith that Hollywood has the power to change and the power to change the world.
She said: “Women are still not getting the same opportunities as our male counterparts. What we do [in the industry] matters, it can change culture and, when you change culture, you can change policy, perception. You can change a lot of things with storytelling.”
Meanwhile, Eva has five-year-old son Santiago with her husband José Bastón and she insisted that balancing motherhood with her career has been easy.
She said: “People always think it’s so hard for me balancing my career and being a mother but it’s actually a lot easier. Because I say no to a lot more things than I used to. If something takes away my time from him then it’s an easy no. He’s simplified my life.”

The 43-year-old reality TV star got engaged to Rami Hawash, 49, in February, after he proposed for the third time, and Gemma revealed the couple plan to have three different weddings.
She told Closer magazine: “Rami and I are getting married in 2026, so I’ve got three weddings and a baby to have in two years. I’m going to have a forest wedding, which is the real version of me.
“Second and third weddings, I don’t know where they’re going to be yet but they’ll be very bougie.”
Rami already has a six-year-old son from a previous relationship but he and Gemma hope to welcome a child together soon too.
Gemma said: “Rami told me, ‘I just want a baby girl to complete our family’. My brain is so young, I think I’m 15 still but I can’t help my biology. PCOS has massively affected my fertility and I’ve got metabolic syndrome as well. The fact that Steve [fitness guru Steve Bennett] has reversed my PCOS by following a fibre-based diet is amazing. The fertility clinic can’t believe the difference from when I first went in to now.
“I’ll be honest, me and Rami have not had much time to have sex lately – he’s been out of the country for a month. Come September, I’m going for it big time. My baby will come when it’s supposed to.”
