Liam Payne death investigation results in three people charged

OHMYGOSSIP — Liam Payne’s death investigation has resulted in three people being charged over his fatal balcony fall.
The 31-year-old former One Direction star plummeted 45ft to his death on 16 October from his third floor room at the CasaSur Palermo Hotel in Buenos Aires, and it was reported on Wednesday (06.11.24) police probing his shock passing in Argentina had raided the homes of a “friend” of the performer and two hotel employees.
Argentina’s public prosecutor announced in a statement on Thursday (07.11.24) three individuals have now been charged in connection with the tragedy.
They have been arrested and charged with “abandonment of a person followed by death, supply and facilitation of narcotics”, a statement from the office of prosecutor Andres Esteban Madrea confirmed.
It added: “Liam Payne was not fully conscious or was experiencing a state of noticeable decrease or loss of consciousness at the time of the fall.”
The statement also said one of the accused “accompanied the artist on a daily basis” while he was staying in Argentina.
A hotel employee is also accused of supplying Payne with cocaine twice while he stayed at the hotel, the statement said.
And third person is accused of supplying drugs to the singer twice during his stay on October 14.
Mr Madrea confirmed they are both charged with two acts each of supplying narcotics.
The prosecutor’s office added it had heard a string of testimonies and analysed hundreds of hours of CCTV footage in connection with the investigation.
And they said a “forensic extraction” had been carried out on Liam’s mobile, which involved trawls of his calls, messages and social media accounts.
News of the charges broke after it emerged Liam’s body has been flown home to the UK ahead of his funeral, which a source told the MailOnline is going to be at a cathedral “close to his heart”.
The Sun reported Liam’s devastated father Geoff Payne, 66, was on the flight into Heathrow carrying his son’s remains, and reported the body has been transferred to Liam’s home town of Wolverhampton.

Joaquin Phoenix told he was being ‘unprofessional’ by Russell Crowe on set of ‘Gladiator’

OHMYGOSSIP — Joaquin Phoenix was told he was being “unprofessional” by Russell Crowe on the set of ‘Gladiator’.
The Oscar-winner, 50, is renowned for his portrayal of villainous Roman emperor Commodus in director Ridley Scott’s 2000 film, but he wanted to quit – and was talked down by its straight-talking lead actor Russell.
Filmmaker Ridley, 86, who has just released ‘Gladiator II’ starring Paul Mescal, told the New York Times: “(Joaquin) was in his prince’s outfit saying, ‘I can’t do it’.
“I said, ‘What?’ And Russell said, ‘This is terribly unprofessional’.”
Ridley added about how he also coaxed Joaquin to stay in the job: “I can act as a big brother or dad. But I’m quite a friend of Joaquin’s.
“‘Gladiator’ was a baptism of fire for both of us in the beginning.”
The film ended up winning five Oscars, including best picture.
Joaquin recently said one of his favourite things on set is a lack of ego.
He gushed Lady Gaga, 38, who was his co-star on ‘Joker: Foile À Deux’, displayed no diva tendencies when they were working together.
The actor said in a behind-the-scenes featurette film put out ahead of the ‘Joker’ sequel’s cinema release: “I found (Gaga) to be without ego and had such a fierce determination. She would get right in with us.
“She understood that there had to be a rawness to the character. There’s not a lot of actors that are comfortable working in that way.”
Gaga also spoke in the featurette, and said about making the ‘Joker’ follow-up: “It was a very special experience. I had never seen a world created like that before.”
“It brought out all of that rough and tough energy and how big these dreams were, and how far they would fall.”

Prince Harry says losing a parent when young is ‘overwhelming and isolating’

OHMYGOSSIP — Prince Harry has said losing a parent as a child can be “overwhelming and isolating”.
The 40-year-old Duke of Sussex was aged 12 when his late mother Princess Diana was killed aged 36 on August 1997 after a high-speed Paris car smash, and he has now referenced his torment over her death in a poignant letter to members of Scotty’s Little Soldiers – a charity that supports youngsters who have lost a military mother or father.
Harry said in his note he understands “perhaps more than most, the weight of losing a parent at a young age” – adding: “It can be overwhelming and isolating. Yet, in the midst of that heartache, we find strength in the love and memories left behind, and I have seen how communities like yours can offer deep comfort and healing.”
He also said: “I encourage you to take a moment to reflect on the values that your loved ones instilled in you – courage, compassion, and a sense of purpose. These will serve as your guiding light, helping you navigate the challenges ahead.”
Harry also appeared in a photo with his message, wearing a Scotty’s scarf and a poppy pin – a symbol of remembrance for more than 100 years.
He went on about how people should build support systems: “In coming together to support one another, you not only honour the memories of your loved ones but also forge bonds that can and will carry you through the toughest times.
“The tears and laughter, the shared experiences, and the moments of joy you create together are powerful reminders that love endures.
“Your resilience is a testament to the legacy of your loved ones, and I have every confidence in your ability to make them proud and to shine bright in the world. All they want is for you to be happy.”

Zach Bryan accused of emotional abuse by ex Brianna LaPaglia

OHMYGOSSIP — Zach Bryan’s ex-girlfriend, Brianna LaPaglia, has accused the country singer of emotional abuse and claimed he offered her $12 million to keep quiet.
The 28-year-old singer split from the social media star on October 22 after just over a year of dating, and she has now claimed she was the victim of verbal abuse by Zach and had been too “scared” to speak out
Appearing on her ‘BFF Podcast’ this week, she told co-hosts Dave Portnoy and Josh Richard: ‘”The last year of my life has been the hardest year of my life dealing with the abuse from this dude.
“I’m still scared right now because I’m scared of him.
“My brain’s rewired and I’m scared to make him mad and last week, I didn’t want to talk about it ’cause I was scared.”
Brianna claims that the ‘Heading South’ singer asks his exes to sign non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) and suggested he pays them to keep quiet about their time together.
And she has alleged she was offered the whopping sum as a settlement and claimed that his team offered to buy her a house.
She said: “The second he posted [the break-up announcement], I was like ‘f*** you, I don’t want a settlement, that’s not me.’ It was a back-and-forth, his team would call me.
“They gave me all these options, they started low and then they went up to $10m, then $12m. Then they wanted to give me a house, then they wanted to give me a New York apartment. They wanted to do all these things…”
She fumed: “You made the women before me believe that they had no other choice but to take money from you.
“[They] signed their experiences and what they went through away [so] you get to go skip off and sing you little f*** songs on stage like you’re a good dude.”
Brianna insists she is shaming the singer for anyone else in an abusive relationship who feels lost and branded Zach “a weak man”.
She said of her decision to go public with the accusations: “It’s for anyone that don’t have a support system that I luckily had going through this.
“This isn’t like a drama thing for me, this isn’t me not signing the NDA or not taking the money because I wanna get on here and expose who he is and all that s***. I’m not signing away my experiences and what I went through to protect someone that hurt me and I’m a lot stronger than a weak man, f*** you and f*** your money.”
When Zach confirmed their breakup on social media, he claimed he had “struggled through some pretty severe things” this past year and felt it would be “beneficial” for the pair to go their separate ways.
He wrote on Instagram: “Brianna and me have broken up with [each other] and I respect and love her with every ounce of my heart.
“She has loved me unconditionally for a very long time and for that I’ll always thank her. I have had an incredibly hard year personally and struggled through some pretty severe things. I thought it would be beneficial for both of us to go our different ways.”

Garth Brooks seeks to have complaint heard in federal court

OHMYGOSSIP — Garth Brooks wants his complaint against a woman who accused him of rape to be moved to a higher court.
The 62-year-old singer – who is the subject of a sexual assault and battery lawsuit filed by his former hairstylist, known anonymously as Jane Roe – has alleged he is the victim of a “shakedown” and filed documents last week to have his complaint against his accuser to be heard in federal court as she is seeking more than $75,000 in damages, which fall within the court’s regulations.
Legal expert Tre Lovell explained to ‘Entertainment Tonight’ that there would be a number of “advantages” for the ‘Friends in Low Places’ singer having the case moved.
He said: “It’s probably easier to seal filings. Usually, you get a quicker trial date. Judges are more amenable to dismissing a case. Los Angeles tends to be more of a minority blue-collar jury pool; in federal court, you have a broader jury poll, and a broader jury poll, I think, would help Garth as well in this case.”
In his complaint, Brooks alleged the woman had “devised a malicious scheme to blackmail” him into paying her “millions of dollars” after he “rejected her request for salaried employment and medical benefits.” He claimed she “threatened” had threatened to“publicly disclose false claims” about him in order to “imperil his business and reputation.”
He claimed the woman had worked as an “independent contractor” for him for 15 years before relocating from Tennessee to Mississippi and she asked for, and received, assistance when she “encountered financial difficulties” following her move.
The ‘River’ hitmaker alleged that after denying a request for permanent employment, the woman “responded with false and outrageous allegations of sexual misconduct she claims occurred years ago.”
He then received a “demand letter”, which was also sent to others who he worked with, in July, which listed allegations including “grooming, unwanted sexual touching and sexual assault”.
The country star faced criticism for naming the woman in his complaint but he claimed in documents he had done so due to her attorneys having “disclosed” his identity to the media.
Jane Roe’s attorneys told People magazine in a statement: “Garth Brooks just revealed his true self.
“With no legal justification, Brooks outed her because he thinks the laws don’t apply to him. On behalf of our client, we will be moving for maximum sanctions against him immediately.”

Halle Bailey’s ex DDG tells fans to stop sending her ‘hate’ over son Twitch drama

OHMYGOSSIP — Halle Bailey’s ex-boyfriend, DDG, has told people to stop sending her hateful messages after they disagreed over their young son being on a livestream.
The 24-year-old actress has Halo, 11 months, with the 27-year-old rapper – whose real name is Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr. – and she was left furious that he had shown the little one to “millions of people” on a live Twitch broadcast without her consent.
She wrote on X: “I wasn’t told or notified and I am extremely upset to have my baby in front of millions of people. I am his mother and protector and saddened that I wasn’t notified especially when i am out of town. (sic)”
Following the public dispute, Halle was targeted by social media trolls and has subsequently deactivated her social media accounts.
In a YouTube video posted on his channel on Thursday (07.11.24), DDG stood up for his ex and insisted he has “unconditional love and respect” for the mother of his child.
He said: “One thing I don’t like what people do, I don’t like when people hate on Halle.
“I don’t care if people think she wrong or not, or if I think she wrong or right.
“She could be going through something mentally after having a kid that I can’t understand as a man.
“So when situations like this happen, I try to handle it with as much grace as possible because Halo needs her, I need her, we need each other to create a childhood that’s safe and fun and memorable for him.
“And I wouldn’t have him if it wasn’t for Halle, and for that reason alone, I got unconditional love and respect for her.”
Last month, the former couple revealed that even though it was “not easy”, they had decided to call it quits.
DDG wrote on Instagram: “After much reflection and heartfelt conversations, Halle and I have decided to go our separate ways. This decision was not easy, but we believe it’s the best path forward for both of us. I cherish the time we’ve spent together and the love we’ve shared. Despite the change in our relationship, our love for each other remains deep and true.”
The ‘Little Mermaid’ star didn’t acknowledge the split publicly, but DDG concluded his statement by noting that he and Halle intend to “co-parent” their little one going forward as he asked fans to respect their “understanding and support” during this time.
He said: “As we focus on our individual journeys and our roles as co- parents, we cherish the bond we’ve built and the beautiful moments we’ve shared. As we navigate this transition, we ask for your understanding and support.
Thank you for your love and encouragement. – DDG.”

Prince William has had most ‘brutal’ year of his life

OHMYGOSSIP — Prince William has had the most “brutal” year of his life.
The future king, 42, was left reeling when his wife Catherine, Princess of Wales, started to undergo preventative cancer treatment after she went into hospital for abdominal surgery in January, and he has now opened up about the torment he’s gone through in the wake of her health fight.
Asked on his trip to South Africa how his year has been, he replied: “Honestly? It’s been dreadful. It’s probably been the hardest year in my life.”
He told of his trauma in an interview with UK print media in Cape Town, while in South Africa for the presentation earlier this week of his environmental Earthshot Prize.
William added: “Trying to get through everything else and keep everything on track has been really difficult.
“But I’m so proud of my wife, I’m proud of my father, for handling the things that they have done. But from a personal family point of view, it’s been, yeah, it’s been brutal.”
Catherine revealed in a video message in March she was undergoing cancer treatment, then in September issued another video saying she had finished her chemotherapy and was taking each day as it comes.
Catherine is now expected to attend Remembrance Sunday memorials as she slowly makes a return to public life.
The Mail Online said she is set to attend Remembrance Sunday events this weekend after her husband Prince William said she was ‘doing really well’”.
It added Caterine has “spoken with aides about staging her annual Christmas carol service in December”.
The outlet said she had held a meeting about the event with her team at Windsor Castle in September.
William gave the rare update on his wife’s health amid his four-day visit to South Africa for his environmental efforts – almost two months after she declared she was “cancer-free” on September 9, after completing chemotherapy treatment.
He said of his wife: “She’s doing really well thanks. And I hopefully she is watching tonight. Cheering me on.
“She’s been amazing this whole year. I know she will be really keen to see tonight be a success.”

Martha Stewart’s ex-husband and his wife speak out about ‘painful and abusive’ marriage to lifestyle guru

OHMYGOSSIP — Martha Stewart’s ex-husband and his current wife have claimed his marriage to the lifestyle guru was “painful and abusive”.
The 83-year-old businesswoman was married to Andrew Stewart from 1961 until 1990 and a recent trailer for her new Netflix documentary ‘Martha’ featured references to the pair’s extra-marital affairs, which prompted Shyla Nelson Stewart to issue a statement defending her spouse amid “dark” times in his life.
In a statement also signed by Andrew shared to Shyla’s Facebook page, she wrote: “As some of you know, my husband is Andrew Stewart – brilliant publisher, avocational naturalist and nature photographer, and one of the gentlest, most soft-spoken, kind-hearted men I’ve ever known. No one was more surprised than we when, after being introduced as colleagues almost 12 years ago, our connection blossomed into a deep and everlasting love.
“With our shared devotion to the Earth and to our families at the center, Andy and I have built a life of beauty, meaning, productivity, and purpose, infused with true love, which we share as fully as we can with our beautiful blended family of 5 amazing adult children, our 3 adorable grandchildren, our extended family, and many cherished friends.
“Prior to this happy chapter of his life, Andy had some dark ones, including a painful and abusive marriage to Martha (as in, Martha Stewart), which ended almost 40 years ago.
“While Andy quietly moved on and forward with his life, it appears that Martha continues to publicly relitigate the marriage, including comments in a sensationalized trailer for an upcoming documentary on Netflix.(sic)”
The post – which was written on 12 October but has only just come to public attention – contrasted the “striking” differences between Andrew’s life then and now and expressed a desire for Martha to be “loved deeply and fully”.
They concluded: “The juxtaposition of Andy’s early life with the joy-filled, purpose-led, loving marriage we live today is striking. Every day, we openly express our gratitude for our love and for our life together.
“We both wish everyone, including Martha herself, the experience of loving and being loved deeply and fully, and the peace that comes from such a love.
Shyla + Andy Stewart.”
The statement was written in response to the trailer for ‘Martha’, in which the former talk show host – who has Alexis, 59, with Andrew – hit out at men who have affairs, even while admitting to one herself.
She said: “Young women, listen to my advice. If you’re married and your husband starts to cheat on you, he’s a piece of s***.”
The TV star was then questioned about her own affair, to which she replied: “Yeah, but I don’t think Andy ever knew about that.”

Armie Hammer fell out with his mother over religion

OHMYGOSSIP — Armie Hammer didn’t speak to his mother for “a long time” after they fell out over religion.
The ‘Call Me by Your Name’ actor – who saw his career go into freefall in 2021 after being accused of physical and sexual abuse – admitted he didn’t find it helpful to have Dru Hammer preaching to him but she didn’t want to change who she is.
Speaking on the latest episode of his ‘Armie HammerTime Podcast’, Armie explained he has established “very clear boundaries” with his mom, who was a guest on the show.
He added: “My understanding is that you feel this is such a big part of who you are and what you are and your purpose, that that’s just what you do. All the time.
“We actually had a period in our lives when we didn’t talk at all because I said, ‘I don’t need a pastor, I need a mom. And if you’re unable to be a mom and only able to be a pastor then I don’t need that relationship in my life. I don’t need another pastor.’
“And we didn’t talk for a while, because you were just like, ‘This is who I am.’ And that’s fine. Everybody is allowed to react however they want when boundaries are presented.”
The ‘Rebecca’ actor went on to explain that his spirituality is very different to his mother’s and this is is where the problem lies.
He added: “The place where you and I get into trouble is when it feels like to me that my spirituality does not look exactly like your spirituality, so you try to proselytise or convert or bring me half a dozen bibles or whatever so that you want my spirituality to look exactly like yours. And I think that’s where we get into the weeds with it. At least, that’s how it feels to me.”
Later on in the episode, Armie interrupted Dru while she was sharing stories about her religious views.
He said: “I’m really trying to be respectful of your time and your talking but we have not gotten back to the point that I brought up, which is our personal relationship.
“I brought up what I feel about our personal relationship and you then went to talk about Christ. That is what I feel causes division in our relationship, where I feel like you and I do not connect very well on a personal level because it feels like to me, everything that comes up is an opportunity for you to talk about Christ. Which is great, [but] the fact that it feels like an impediment for us having a personal relationship is the reason I feel like we did not speak for a long time.”
Dru responded: “To be fair, what I was saying is I believe as a Christian, that is what we are called to do. So you come from that perspective, and all I was doing was explaining why I do what I do. Because you’re called to be an actor. I’m called to be an evangelist.”

Chynna Phillips and Billy Baldwin live separately

OHMYGOSSIP — Chynna Phillips and her husband Billy Baldwin are living in separate houses in different cities.
The couple – who married in 1995 and have children Jameson, 24, Vance, 22, and 19-year-old Brooke together – have adopted an unconventional approach to their relationship, taking on different homes in California but still having “date nights”, spending time with their kids together and working through their problems in joint therapy sessions, and it is “really working” for the Wilson Phillips singer.
Chynna explained in a video shared to YouTube: “Billy and I are [are] sort of in this new kind of arrangement that is actually really working.
“I don’t know if it’s working for Billster, but I’m really happy with what we’re doing and basically, it’s totally unstructured … well, let me explain…
“So, I just really felt like where in the bible does it say that I have to live under the same roof 24-seven with my husband.
“Can you please find me that scripture – no, it doesn’t.
“I mean, I have to take care of him, I have to be kind to him, I have to be gentle to him, I have to obey him or submit.
“Anyway, so many people hate that scripture that we have to submit, but that is what it says. It says that we need to submit to our husbands, and so I get all that – and I will submit, but I’ll submit when I’m around.
“I said to Billy: ‘Look, why don’t we just do a little test run to see what it feels like to have me in Santa Barbara, you live in Beverly Hills, and then we flip-flop, and then in between, we have double-dates, and we have date nights together, and we have therapy, and we have dinner with the children, and we go to the beach or the museum.’
“’And then we spend a few days a week in a row together where we have sleepovers and stuff, but not forcing ourselves to be subjected to each other’s energy 24-seven.’”
The 56-year-old singer admitted the ‘Fair Game’ actor was “a little bit reticent about the whole thing” but was happy to try out the new living arrangements.
And later in the video, the ‘Hold On’ hitmaker called her 61-year-old spouse and during their conversation she stressed that the couple – who announced in February they had endured a temporary six-month separation – were still “madly in love”.
She told Billy: “I think that we’re onto something. I really do, because we enjoy each other’s company. It’s so hard to articulate to people that we’re madly in love, we really enjoy being around one another, we cherish our marriage, we don’t ever want to separate.
“We just need a little time apart because we are sort of an allergy to one another. And it’s OK. I’m sure lots of different couples are allergies to each other.”
He replied: “The reality is you have the allergy, I have a certain energy that makes you have a— see, your back just tweaked just now.
“You do things that, you know, sort of alter my energy sometimes.”

Ryan Reynolds wants to host Oscars with Hugh Jackman

OHMYGOSSIP — Ryan Reynolds would “love” to host the Oscars with Hugh Jackman.
The 48-year-old actor and his ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’ co-star guest presented ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’ in July and had a great time, and the ‘Free Guy’ actor is keen to build on the fun they had and take their bond to an even bigger platform with the Academy Awards.
He told Deadline: “The Oscars, yes. This is something I really genuinely would love to do with Hugh.
“Yeah, we hosted ‘Kimmel’ together, but we also had just kind of hit, ‘F*** it’ at that point, we were at the end of a long tour. We travelled in every country all over the world, and enjoyed every second of it.
“And we go to ‘Kimmel’, we didn’t even remember the schedule, [as it was] so intense on the tour like that. And so we got to ‘Kimmel’, and we just got loose.
“And it was, I thought, kind of an interesting way to host it. It feels like those old AFI dinners where everybody would get up there — they go from decades and decades ago all the way up to present day.
“They look like what you sort of hope the Oscars could feel like, right? A bit of a roast, a bit of a loose kind of enjoyable experience. And, you know, it’s getting harder and harder out there, I think, for telecasts like that to kind of exist, it’s tricky.”
However, Ryan – who has daughters James, nine, Inez, eight, and five-year-old Betty and 21-month-old son Olin with wife Blake Lively – admitted he and Hugh are unlikely to take the reins for next year’s ceremony, which will take place on 2 March.
He said: “So, one day I’d love to do that, I don’t know about this year, but one day, yeah.
“A lot of things would have to happen that are kind of amazing. Part of it is that these movies like ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’, they consume my life, and I have four kids, and I want to be there.
“I want to see them, and they want to see me, and I want to walk into school with them, and I want to be able to be there present.
“And if I were to host something like (the Oscars) as someone who, you know, kind of feels a bit of intense sort of anxiety, I wouldn’t be present mentally. I would be kind of constantly writing in my head, or projecting potentially tragic outcomes on the live stage.”

Liam Payne’s friend speaks out about his death

OHMYGOSSIP — Liam Payne’s “very dear friend” has insisted he didn’t abandon the late star in the hours leading up to his death.
The One Direction singer passed away last month after falling from his hotel balcony and now Rogelio Nores, who is known as Roger, has told how he saw him less than an hour before his fatal fall as he dismissed claims police had raided his Buenos Aires home in connection to the tragedy.
Roger told MailOnline: “I never abandoned Liam, I went to his hotel three times that day and left 40 minutes before this happened.
“There were over 15 people at the hotel lobby chatting and joking with him when I left.
“I could have never imagined something like this would happen.
“I’ve given my statement to the prosecutor on October 17 as a witness and I haven’t spoken to any police officer or prosecutor ever since.
“I wasn’t Liam’s manager he was just my very dear friend and please refer to the email I sent to Liam and his team on August 23.
“I’m really heart-broken with this tragedy, and I’ve been missing my friend every day.”
Roger’s statement came after police placed three people, a “friend” of the ‘Strip That Down’ hitmaker and two hotel employees, under official suspicion over Liam’s death.
They have been arrested in relation to “abandonment of a person followed by death, supply and facilitation of narcotics”, a statement from the office of prosecutor Andres Esteban Madrea confirmed.
It added: “Liam Payne was not fully conscious or was experiencing a state of noticeable decrease or loss of consciousness at the time of the fall.”
The statement also said one of the accused “accompanied the artist on a daily basis” while he was staying in Argentina.
A hotel employee is also accused of supplying Liam with cocaine twice while he stayed at the hotel, the statement said.
And third person is accused of supplying drugs to the singer twice during his stay on October 14.
The prosecutor’s office added it had heard a string of testimonies and analysed hundreds of hours of CCTV footage in connection with the investigation.
And they said a “forensic extraction” had been carried out on Liam’s mobile phone, which involved trawls of his calls, messages and social media accounts.

Cardi B hits out at Donald Trump’s supporters after he claims victory in US election

OHMYGOSSIP — Cardi B has gone on an expletive-laden rant after Donald Trump claimed victory in the US election.
The ‘WAP’ hitmaker was left furious after the Republican painted the states of North Carolina, Georgia, Texas, Florida, and Iowa red and fumed that she will “f*** up” Trump’s supporters.
Reacting on her Instagram Live as he grew closer to a win, she raged: “I swear to god I’m gonna f*** you up, get away from me! I’m sick of you! Burn you’re f****** hats mother******. I’m really sad. I swear to god I’m really sad.”
The 32-year-old rapper wasn’t going to vote in the election, but Kamala Harris “changed her mind”.
Praising the Democrat, she continued: “No matter what, I know that she’s probably emotional right now. I know there’s probably a lot going on in her mind and I know she’s not listening to this, but she will eventually see it. I just hope she knows no matter what happens tonight, millions of people are proud of her. Women around the world are proud of her. Women of colour are proud of her.”
Cardi praised Kamala and said she should be “proud” of herself, branding it one of the “most unforgettable elections”.
She went on: “Y’all, I know how I felt at the beginning of the f****** year, I didn’t want to vote for anybody. She changed my mind, I feel like she was very honest and said the things I wanted to hear.’ When I look at her face and she was talking to me, I thought she was very genuine and not playing any f****** games. She had 100 days to do all of this and she woke this nation up. I feel there was a lot of things that went wrong last year and they kept her too much in the background.
“I’m proud of her and I hope she’s proud of herself no matter what happens tonight. This is one of the most unforgettable elections and I love her. I don’t say I love a lot of people, y’all know that. Because I hate everybody.”
Cardi’s rant comes after Elon Musk branded her one of Kamala’s “puppets”.
The 53-year-old billionaire businessman accused the music star of being “fed words” when she was giving a speech at the Democrat’s rally at the Wisconsin State Fair Exposition Center last Friday (01.11.24) and had an awkward wait when her teleprompter broke.
Elon reposted a video of Cardi at the rally to his micro-blogging site X and wrote: “Another puppet who can’t even talk without being fed the words.
“The Kamala campaign has no authenticity or true empathy.”
Cardi swiftly defended herself and accused the Tesla boss of “knowing nothing” about the “American struggle”.
She responded: “I’m not a puppet Elon.. I’m a daughter of two immigrant parents that had to work their ass off to provide for me! I’m a product of welfare, I’m a product of section 8, I’m a product of poverty and I’m a product of what happens when the system is set up against you….But you don’t know nothing about that. You don’t know not one thing about the American struggle…. (sic)”
She then quipped: “PS fix my algorithm.”
The ‘WAP’ hitmaker’s speech went on for around 10 minutes and she ended up reading from her smartphone.

Pharrell Williams ‘got fired three times’ by McDonald’s

OHMYGOSSIP — Pharrell Williams got sacked by McDonald’s on three separate occasions.
The 51-year-old Grammy Award-winning producer and musician has recalled getting in a spot of bother during his “first and only job” when he worked at the fast food chain.
He told BBC Radio 2 host Jo Whiley: “McDonald’s was my first and only job. I got fired three times. I was eating the chicken nuggets.”
The ‘Happy’ hitmaker admitted on all three occasions, they were probably justified in firing him.
He added: “The first two times it was just because I was lazy. The third was like, ‘What are you doing? You’re just sitting there eating nuggets?’ ”
Pharrell recently confessed explained how he didn’t realise that he had the necessary “drive” to go with his creative talents because he has worked in the music industry from a young age.
He told Britain’s HELLO! magazine: “Everybody is born with creativity, but some are born with a pronounced connection to it. Some are born with drive. Some are creative but don’t feel the drive. Some don’t necessarily have the best creativity, but they want it so bad.
“I didn’t know I had this kind of drive. I considered myself lazy for years, but I just wasn’t inspired.
“If I’m motivated, I’ll be the first one in on Monday morning and the last one to leave on Friday night. I’ve been blessed that early on in my life, I’ve been connected to what I love.”
The musician – whose life story is being told in Lego form in new movie ‘Piece By Piece’ – only committed to the project after being convinced by the concept.
During an appearance on ‘The Graham Norton Show’, he said: “I do things that I am curious and enthusiastic about and a documentary about me is not interesting, so I said no at first. Then my very persistent agent said I could do it what any way I wanted.
“When I said I wanted to do it with the best documentary-maker Morgan Neville and for him to tell it anyway he wanted, but in Lego, my agent said, ‘No, no, no.’ But then everyone said yes.
“This project is the sum of lots of yeses and is what impossible looks like. Whether you are eight or 80 it’s not too late to build your dream piece by piece.”
