OHMYGOSSIP — Joss Stone gets her “best ideas” for music at 1am.
The ‘Right To Be Wrong’ singer – who has Violet, three, and Shackleton, 21 months, has revealed she is usually up in the early hours being “creative”.
Asked if she and her husband Cody DaLuz schedule in quality time together, she told heat magazine: “We often just find ourselves flaked on the sofa, after Violet has finally gone to sleep which takes until 9pm some nights. And then by 9.30pm Cody has fallen asleep. But I’m usually up until 1am. That’s my creative time, where I find that I come up with my best ideas for my music.”
Joss admits she struggles to split time between her children and her music career.
Asked if it’s hard to balance family time with her music, she replied: “It can be. It’s a constant juggling act.
“I don’t have much free time these days and any time I do have is spent with the kids. I go from recording music to singing Baby Shark!
“But being a mum is the best thing, I love kids.
They’re so full of love and light.”
The pop star admits the key to their happy marriage is they both listen to each other, whereas a lot of people in her life think she is “a bit of a ditz”.
She explained: “He listens to me. I don’t have many people in my life who just naturally listen to me. They all think I’m a bit of a ditz and I find that really frustrating.
“And I’ve listened to what he wants and I give it to him, too. You can talk to somebody until you’re blue in the face and tell
them what you want, and if they’re not really listening and if they don’t care enough to do it, it’s not going to work.”

OHMYGOSSIP — A wax figure of Sinéad O’Connor will be removed and recreated after her family objected.
The singer tragically passed away on July 26, 2023 at age 56 and to mark the one-year anniversary of her death this week, Dublin’s National Wax Museum unveiled a wax figure of Sinéad.
However, Sinéad’s brother John slammed the piece of art, telling RTE’s ‘Liveline’: “When I saw it online I was shocked. I thought it looked something between a mannequin and something out of the Thunderbirds.
“I thought Sinéad would have been very fond of looking well, and she certainly did, and if it was supposed to be a representation of her in her early 20s when she did ‘Nothing Compares 2 U’, it just looked nothing like her. I thought it was hideous.
“A friend of mine said to me last night that he’d seen better in Shaws [department store], in the window.
“There’s also enough visual stuff out there, in terms of videos and photos, that show what she did look like.
“I lost my sister and to me that’s important. Since she’s not here to defend herself or to speak for herself I just took it upon myself to contact you about it.”
Paddy Dunning, the wax museum director, issued an apology and said it was not up to the standard of sculptor, PJ Heraghty’s usual work.
He said: “When I had a look at the statue, I walked in to launch it, and when I saw it, I didn’t get that feeling that I normally get from PJ’s fantastic work.
“My heart sunk a bit. We went ahead with the launch and I didn’t sleep last night.
“The wax museum runs itself without publicity. We have a launch and that’s it. I had to take the decision to cancel the statue and we’ll go again and we’ll remodel and we have to do better on this occasion.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Kim Wilde turns to gardening for the sake of her mental health.
The 63-year-old pop star has had a career in music for more than 40 years but “cannot imagine” going for a long time without working on her plants because it is how she alleviates the “stress” that comes with performing.
She told OK! Magazine: “One of the reasons I was drawn out into the garden initially was to find a way of combating some of the stress elements of my life and career, so it’s certainly about mental health as well as physical health.
“And there’s nothing in the garden that isn’t physical, – even something easy like planting a bulb is physical because you have to prepare the ground which can be a real challenge. I go to the gym a couple of times a week to do weights and all that kind of stuff but the garden is like my second gym. It’s just part of who I am.
“I can’t imagine a year without gardening, in the same way I can’t imagine a year without singing. They’re like breathing to me. I love that I can keep learning and observing and be close to nature. There’s a very spiritual element to it.”
The ‘Kids In America’ hitmaker – who has Harry, 26, and 24-year-old Harry with her ex-husband Hal Fowler – feels better than she has ever felt in her life and puts it down to her determination to be around for her children for as long as possible.
She said: ““I feel the strongest physically and mentally that I’ve ever felt in my life.
“When you can’t even get out of bed, it really puts everything into perspective. I don’t want to be a burden to my kids or anyone else. I want to be able to walk off this planet so I’ll do everything I can to keep myself as physically and mentally strong as I can be.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Jason Kelce has defended his new business venture with his brother Travis.
The NFL star siblings have launched their own cereal with General Mills calls “The Kelce Mix” – which combines Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Lucky Charms and Reese’s Puffs into one bowl – and Jason hit back at criticism that it is unhealthy.
Former food and pharmaceutical consultant Calley Means said on X: “Athletes should stop sponsoring food that destroys kids’ metabolic health. Some things are more important than money.”
However, Jason, 36 – who has three children with wife Kylie Kelce – responded: “I grew up on these products Calley, and I was a perfectly healthy fit child, because I enjoyed them in moderation and when on the go for quick meals when both my parents didn’t have time to cook.
“I appreciate you spreading information on what is healthy for people and kids, and I take the obesity epidemic as a country and for kids seriously. But there is also room to eat cereal and ice cream and candy in the right quantities in conjunction with a healthy lifestyle.”
Meanwhile, Jason previously revealed he has lost 20 pounds since retiring from football in March.
He told GQ: “Right now, I’m about 277. I’m almost 20 pounds down right now. It’s hard to imagine another nearly 20 pounds coming off, being honest with you. But my back already feels better. My knees already feel better.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Firerose is working on “healing” after accusing her estranged husband Billy Ray Cyrus of subjecting her to months of “extreme verbal, emotional and psychological abuse”.
Following the breakdown of their seven-month marriage, Firerose, 35, accused the 62-year-old country music singer of forcing her into “systematic isolation” and to live by “very strict rules” but she said she can now see the “light at the end of the tunnel”.
She wrote on Instagram Stories: “This week has been monumental in many ways and I’m so appreciative of the outpouring of support. There are so many great experts, books resources on healing. I promise there’s a light at the end of the tunnel. Dr. Ramani is a great place to start.”
Billy Ray married Firerose in October 2023, one year after his ex-wife Tish filed for divorce for the third time.
He filed for an annulment in June, citing “inappropriate marital conduct” and last week audio was leaked of a row between them, where he unleashed a tirade of verbal abuse towards Firerose.
He wrote on Instagram Stories: “Hell yeah I was at my wit’s end.
“As every day went by, I started realizing something was wrong. And that’s before I knew she was a fraud.
“I just knew something wasn’t right. That was before I knew she was David Hodges ex-wife. That’s before I knew her parents last name. I had no idea she was arrested for felony residential burglary.
“I saw before my very own eyes, everything I thought I knew about her, was a life. She was trying to take over my career, my life and usurp the Cyrus name for own gain. See you in court.(sic)”

OHMYGOSSIP — Flavor Flav would love to meet Simone Biles at the Paris Olympics.
The 65-year-old rap star is the official hype man of the US women’s water polo team – but he’s most excited to meet the gold medal-winning gymnast.
Speaking to ‘Entertainment Tonight’, Flav shared: “She’s my favourite athlete right now. She’s going for her ninth medal, man. Come on! That is phenomenal. That is slamming.
“I just want to meet her, and tell her how proud I am of her, and how much of a big fan that I am of hers.”
Flav is relishing the experience of being at the Olympics in Paris.
He said: “Man, I’m feeling like I’m living the greatest moment of my life right now. I’m feeling amazing right now. It’s a very wonderful experience that I’m living right now.
“For the first time ever I get to be at the Olympics in person instead of just seeing it on TV.”
Flav has always wanted to attend an Olympics in person, and he’s finally fulfilling his life-long ambition.
He explained: “Words right now can’t even explain how amazing it is. I’m living a dream come true right now.
“I always dreamed about being at the Olympics one day, watching it and seeing it in person. Right now God has granted me the gift to where I’m able to be here and see it.”
Meanwhile, Flav has explained the role he’ll perform for the US water polo team.
The rapper – who was a founding member of Public Enemy – said: “My duties are to hype up the water polo team, mainly the women’s water polo team.
“They’ve got three gold medals right now, so we’re pushing for them to get that fourth one. My duties are to be in the crowd and be loud and when I get that medal be proud.”

The 37-year-old star recently debuted her growing baby bump at the San Diego Comic-Con, and Ronda has now taken to social media to confirm that she’s expecting a baby girl.
The former UFC champion – who has also enjoyed success in the movie business – wrote on Instagram: “IT’S A GIRL! Happy I can finally shout it from the rooftops, but couldn’t resist revealing it at Comicon where I’d coincidentally be exactly as far along (4 months) as my character ‘Mom’ is in my new graphic novel ‘Expecting the Unexpected’ (So technically I finally got to cosplay at Comicon [winking emoji]) (sic)”
Ronda and her husband Travis Browne tied the knot in 2017, and the loved-up couple welcomed their daughter, La’akea, back in September 2021.

OHMYGOSSIP — Hugh Jackman relished the challenge of getting in shape for ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’.
The 55-year-old actor reprised the role of Wolverine for the new Marvel movie, and Hugh has revealed that he loved the challenge of transforming his physique.
The Hollywood actor – who stars alongside Ryan Reynolds in the film – told PEOPLE: “I had got to the point, it must have been probably ten years ago, I was like, I’m not enjoying it. It was hurting. It was tough.
“But I’ve had a break, and I’ve been doing a lot of dance. I’ve been doing stage shows and arena shows. And so when I came back to it, it was really fun and I was thrilled.”
Hugh was pleasantly surprised by how well his body responded to the challenge.
He said: “My body was a little sore at the beginning, but I was thrilled that my body was still responding. And I realised how good it is for your brain.
“I have to eat a lot. For me, for my body type, I’m naturally skinny – to get the size on, that’s the hardest bit. That’s the bit that does my head in.”
Meanwhile, Hugh previously advocated for more mental health support for movie stars.
The actor suggested that it’s really important to take care “of the whole person”.
Speaking to the BBC, Hugh explained: “There’s a little part of the old school part of my brain [that thinks], ‘Well, that’s up to you to work out.’ If you need to go to a doctor, for whatever reason, your foot, your mental health, you know, you work that out.
“But I think it certainly would be a sign from an employer that we understand taking care of the whole person, not just paying them, but taking care of their wellbeing in all forms is really, really important.”

The 56-year-old star made her long-awaited return to live performing at the opening ceremony in Paris on Friday (26.07.24), and Celine has since taken to social media to express her joy and gratitude.
Celine – who stopped performing live after she was diagnosed with Stiff Person Syndrome, a progressive neurological disorder that affects her muscles – wrote on X: “I’m honored to have performed tonight, for the Paris 2024 Opening Ceremony, and so full of joy to be back in one of my very favorite cities! Most of all, I’m so happy to be celebrating these amazing athletes, with all their stories of sacrifice and determination, pain and perseverance. All of you have been so focused on your dream, and whether or not you take home a medal, I hope that being here means that it has come true for you! Celine closed the ceremony – which also featured an eye-catching performance from Lady Gaga – with a rendition of Edith Piaf’s ‘L’Hymne à l’amour’.
Meanwhile, in June, a source revealed that Celine had been offered the chance to perform at the opening ceremony.
The insider told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column: “Celine has made no secret of her desire to make it back to the stage, and Paris would be the perfect opportunity for her to do that.

OHMYGOSSIP — Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds’ fourth child is a baby boy.
The 47-year-old actor revealed the gender of their youngest child during a heartfelt conversation with a man named John Bell, whose late son Jake Bell loved ‘Deadpool’.
In an interview shared on Ryan’s social media accounts, John explained: “What I do now keeps me alive daily, because I’ve made my peace with death. I’m gonna be reunited with him at some point but it damn right ain’t now.”
Ryan – who has James, nine, Inez, seven, and Betty, four, with Blake – subsequently thanked John for sharing his story with him.
The Hollywood star also confirmed that Blake gave birth to a baby boy in early 2023.
He told John: “I’m very grateful that you shared his story.

The 61-year-old star has thanked her support network for helping her to navigate the potential pitfalls of fame.
Vanessa told PEOPLE: “Everyone always says, ‘How are you so normal? How are you so grounded? How do you manage things? How do you cope? How do you find solutions?’ It’s relying on your family.
“Luckily I have a tremendous family that has always been supportive and in times of crisis, that’s who you depend on.”
Vanessa believes she hasn’t allowed fame and success to change her character.

The 37-year-old actress has Ever, three, with her husband Zandy Reich, and Lea has revealed that her son “loves listening to music of all different kinds”.
The brunette beauty – who is pregnant with her second child – told PEOPLE: “I think for me, as a singer, what I’m so grateful for is to be able to open his eyes to different types of music, different styles and things like that, so that’s been really fun.”
Despite this, Lea joked that her son isn’t keen to hear her sing.

OHMYGOSSIP — Nicole Scherzinger’s Pussycat Dolls experience was a “whirlwind”.
The 46-year-old singer is a former member of the chart-topping girl group, and Nicole has acknowledged that “so much happened so fast for the Dolls”.
Speaking to Us Weekly, Nicole shared: “It was such a whirlwind.
“It’s kind of crazy. So much happened so fast for the Dolls.”
The group actually reunited in 2019, and Nicole now looks back on their return with fond memories.
The ‘When I Grow Up’ hitmaker said: “I’m really proud of when we came back together.
“The pandemic happened and we weren’t able to tour, but we came back together for our song ‘React’ and performed on ‘The X Factor’, and I was proud of that. We hadn’t been together for, like, ten years, and then we got together for a week and just put that up on stage.”
The girl group initially split in 2010, following an impressive run of chart success.
Nicole now feels that the bandmates all evolved during their nine-year hiatus.
She said: “I was mostly proud because of the women that we had evolved into.
“That we could come together and say, ‘Wow, life is so much bigger than petty things.’ And half the girls have children, you know what I mean? And families. And that growth as women, of coming together and being supportive of each other – I think that’s what made me the most happy, that we could do that. And I still love and support the girls.”
Nicole remains proud of her success with The Pussycat Dolls, and she previously revealed that she was looking forward to celebrating the 25th anniversary of their debut album, ‘PCD’, which they released in 2005.
Asked how she plans to celebrate the anniversary, Nicole replied: “I believe women around the world should just sing it loud. It’s dedicated to women out there, and it’s an empowering message.”

The 24-year-old rap star joined Taylor, 34, in Las Vegas for the Super Bowl earlier this year – but Ice has now admitted that she still has limited knowledge of the sport.
During an appearance on ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’, she explained: “I was incredibly confused. I’m still confused.”
Taylor began dating Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce in 2023, and she travelled to Las Vegas in February to see him lift the Vince Lombardi Trophy.
Ice confessed that her showbiz pal – who attended numerous Chiefs games last season – has a much better understand of the sport.
She said: “That day I had a sense of knowing, but it just went away.”
Reflecting on her own Super Bowl experience, the rap star added: “I honestly would just wait until Taylor cheered.”
Meanwhile, Patrick Mahomes, Travis’ teammate, recently claimed that Taylor has helped to make the Chiefs a “worldwide team”.
Speaking to Time magazine, he explained: “[The Chiefs] went from a nationwide team that was kind of global to a full global worldwide team. That came from Taylor’s fanbase.”
Despite her fame and success, Patrick has been wowed by Taylor’s down-to-earth attitude and her work ethic.
The 28-year-old sports star – who is one of the best-known players in the NFL – said: “I’ve met a lot of famous people now in my life. Taylor’s probably the most down-to-earth person that’s been on that stage for that long.
“She’s never not working. Even when she’s taking her downtime, she’s working on something. Shooting a music video or singing a song or writing a song. You can see it by how she talks.”

The 38-year-old actress recently announced that she’s expecting her first child with producer Andrew Form, but Alexandra tried – and failed – to hide her pregnancy from her colleagues.
The brunette beauty told Entertainment Weekly: “One time I threw up right outside my trailer, and my best friend had to hose it down.
“I was like, ‘Can someone get me a sandwich please? And no cold cuts please?’ Ben was like, ‘Are you pregnant? And I’m like, ‘That’s none of your business, and by the way, get me some watermelon.'”
Ben Feldman, who plays Alexandra’s on-screen love interest, still remembers the actress trying to hide her pregnancy.
The 44-year-old actor – who also stars alongside the likes of Harry Hamlin and Alyssa Jirrels – said: “Alex had a giant secret. Alex was at home with her secret every night.”
Alexandra announced her pregnancy earlier this month.
However, the actress also revealed that she previously suffered a miscarriage, describing it as a “very, very painful” experience.
The ‘Baywatch’ star told Vogue: “I’m pregnant and it’s all successful and everything’s healthy.
“I had been pregnant. Then I had a loss. It’s long and complicated, so I don’t want to be too specific.
“Those kinds of losses and trauma are very hard to explain unless you’ve been through them.
“I really relate to all the women who have been through those kinds of things in a way that I didn’t understand fully before.
“It’s very, very painful.”
What’s more, Alexandra confessed that she had “a lot of complicated feelings” when she found out that she had conceived again.

OHMYGOSSIP — Dan Aykroyd thought he might have retired “five years ago”.
The 72-year-old actor has remained part of the film industry through the ‘Blues Brothers’ and ‘Ghostbusters’ franchises, and Dan has insisted that he remains “grateful” for the opportunity.
Dan – who played Dr. Raymond ‘Ray’ Stantz in the original ‘Ghostbusters’ movies – told PEOPLE: “I still have these two very active offices to manage, ‘Blues Brothers’ and ‘Ghostbusters’.
“I thought I could retire five years ago, but it hasn’t worked out that way. That’s okay. I’m grateful for the privilege to keep going.”
Dan wrote and starred in the original ‘Ghostbusters’ movie.
But the actor is also a fan of the all-female reboot of ‘Ghostbusters’, which was released in 2016.
He said: “I liked the movie [director] Paul Feig made with those spectacular women.
“I was mad at them at the time because I was supposed to be a producer on there and I didn’t do my job and I didn’t argue about costs. And it cost perhaps more than it should, and they all do. All these movies do.
“But boy, I liked that film. I thought that the villain at the end was great. I loved so much of it. And of course, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones and Melissa McCarthy and Kristen Wiig, you’re never going to do better than that.”
The movie was widely panned by critics – but Dan feels proud of his own connection to the film.
He said: “I go on the record as saying I’m so proud to have been able to license that movie and have a hand and have a part in it, and I’m fully supportive of it, and I don’t besmirch it at all.
“I think it works really great amongst all the ones that have been made.”
