OHMYGOSSIP — Chrissy Teigen and John Legend’s eldest son has been diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes.
The 38-year-old model had sparked questions from fans when she shared a photo over the weekend of older children Luna, eight, and six-year-old Miles cheering on Team USA and many noticed the little boy had a glucose monitor on his arm, and she’s now thanked her followers for their “beautiful and incredible” words of support and encouragement as she confirmed the condition, which affects the body’s ability to produce insulin.
She wrote on Instagram: “A lot of you noticed something a little special about a photo I posted a few days ago — Luna, Miles and I celebrating Simone and team USA.
“Miles had his arm up, and soooo many of you reached out to say the most beautiful and incredible words I have ever witnessed on this platform.
“You noticed his type-1 diabetes monitor and extended so much love and encouragement in every way possible. I was, and am, so blown away by the kindness of this community, already.
“I know. Things could be so much worse!! So many parents around the world are going through unfathomable things that I could never imagine.
“I tell myself this every time we get a red alert blasted to our phones. And we are so blessed to have so much help and a wonderful, kind, huge-hearted specialist.”
The ‘Lip Sync Battle’ star – who also has Esti, 18 months, and Wren, 13 months, with John – explained the condition was detected by chance after Miles and his friends contracted a sickness bug and required blood tests.
She wrote: “A couple weeks ago, our Miles was sick, in the hospital, with a terrible case of shigella, an intestinal infection caused by bacteria in food or water. A lot of his friends were also sick with it, as they went to the same camp and well, it happens!
“But the doctors knew something else was off about his blood tests. I’ve learned since then that this is how so many young children end up being diagnosed with type-1 — going to the hospital for something completely different.
“After more testing, we learned he is in the ‘honeymoon period’ of a lifetime of T1.
“Last night we gave him his first shot of insulin and here we go! A different, new world for us and we are certainly learning so much on the fly.
“This post is to thank you so much for your kindness. It helps Miles so much to know so many other people are going through the same thing and he is not alone.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Carrie Underwood is said to be replacing Katy Perry on the next season of ‘American Idol’.
The 41-year-old country star won the fourth season of the singing competition in 2005 and is said to have been chosen to sit in the 39-year-old pop star’s chair for the next series alongside Lionel Richie, 75, and Luke Bryan, 48.
An official announcement is expected later today (01.08.24), according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Luke previously claimed Pink, Miley Cyrus and Meghan Trainor had all been “in talks” for the job.
He told Billboard: “I think Pink has been in the talks, Miley Cyrus has been in the talks, Meghan Trainor has been in the talks.”
Luke thinks the ‘I Kissed a Girl’ singer will be a hard act to follow.
He said: “Katy was really perfect for that job, and I think they’re just working real hard to find somebody that can really come in and do the job that Katy did.”
Pink previously seemed to rule herself out of the judging role earlier this year.
She told ‘Entertainment Tonight’: “I don’t like hurting people’s feelings… I like my day job.”
By contrast, Meghan would jump at the chance to be a judge and admitted she has “begged” to be considered.

The 47-year-old actress feels her style has evolved markedly during the course of her career, and she’s ultimately learned that “less is always more”.
Sarah – who is best known for playing Buffy Summers on the hit TV show ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer’ – told The Hollywood Reporter: “One day I had a photo shoot and a premiere in the same day. And I was exhausted, because I was also working on this little television show I used to do called ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer’, and they bleached my eyebrows.
“I got home at the end of the day after the premiere, exhausted. I washed my face, and not only were my brows barely there, they disintegrated.”
Sarah also revealed that she created her “natural look” by accident.
She explained: “Luckily, there is proof – one picture – that I finally figured out my eyebrows. My hairdresser and my makeup artist were super late. My stylist, Deborah Waknin, said, ‘I can do your makeup!’ So I kind of created a natural look in the ’90s by accident.”

The 46-year-old rap star has revealed that he has a diligent approach to his health and wellbeing, admitting that he works out most days.
Speaking to Us Weekly, Ludacris explained: “I try to [work out] at least five or six days a week. Some of those days it might be … with my trainer [and] in person.
“One way or another, I’ve tried to get it in, definitely at least five or six days a week.”
Ludcris explained that he focuses on a different parts of his body on different days.
The ‘Stand Up’ hitmaker shared: “You have one day for arms and back legs – and I think that the bigger the muscle group, the more you can, kind of, eat on that particular day.
“That’s how you plan everything out, but that would be the best way. You got to plan out the workouts and plan out the meals.”

The 35-year-old actress has revealed in a joint interview with her ‘Hope’ co-star Taylor Russell that she and her actor husband Michael Fassbender quietly welcomed their second baby earlier in 2024.
Speaking about her return to work, Alicia – who gave birth to a baby boy in 2021 – told ELLE: “All women have such different experiences, and going through it a second time was definitely harder for me. But I think training made it easier.

The 70-year-old chat-show host and the 69-year-old TV star are long-time friends, and Oprah has now revealed the secrets to their decades-long friendship.
She told ‘Moments That Make Us’: “The reason why I think our friendship has worked is because Gayle is happier, not happy, but happier for me for any kind of success or victory or challenge I get through than I am for myself. And I feel as happy as she does – I can’t be happier than, cannot surpass Gayle. You cannot out-happy her. I am equally as happy for her.”
Gayle believes they’ve both benefitted from being open and honest with each other.

The 55-year-old actor worked as Coco the Clown at children’s parties prior to finding fame in Hollywood, and Hugh still has some fond memories of his old job.
The actor – who stars alongside Ryan Reynolds in ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’ – said on ‘Hot Ones’: “I literally rented a clown outfit, and me and this guy Stan, we went for birthday parties, and we had no skills. Literally no skills.”

Hugh then shared a story from one specific party.

The 37-year-old star – who already has a two-year-old daughter with her husband Travis Browne – has announced at San Diego Comic-Con that she’s expecting her second child.
Ronda was actually in San Diego to promote her debut graphic novel, ‘Expect the Unexpected’, and the former mixed martial artist also decided to share her pregnancy news with the world.
During a conversation with panel host Dave Bautista, she said of her latest project: “It’s like ‘Knocked Up’ meets ‘John Wick’, and also a romantic comedy.
“The main character is a super nerd, assassin for hire, who’s also a hopeless romantic. Unfortunately, all people that she sees, she’s about to kill. So just having a hard time connecting with anyone.”
Ronda and her husband tied the knot in 2017, and the loved-up couple welcomed their daughter, La’akea, back in September 2021.

A source told New York Post column PageSix: “[Jennifer dined] with five people … She was polite and nice with the staff … The owners seemed to know J.Lo was coming, and they slipped her in the back door to avoid the paparazzi out front.
“Several guests made warm toasts to the birthday girl … She looked happy. But she wasn’t dancing on the table; they were not raucous.”
