Sofia Richie is scrap-booking her precious moments with her baby girl

OHMYGOSSIP — Sofia Richie doesn’t want to forget anything about the precious moments she shares with her baby girl.
The 25-year-old model – who is the daughter of singer Lionel Richie and his ex-wife Diane Alexander – and her husband Elliot Grainge, 30, welcomed a daughter named Eloise Samantha in May, and the new mom is savouring up all the memories.
She told The Wall Street Journal: “It’s really good for me mentally to journal. And I actually found out I’m a scrapbook girl.
“I wrote everything down in a scrapbook for Eloise, just things I didn’t want to forget.”
On making the most of the time she has with the little one, she said: “I wake up around 6am and go see my daughter.
“I have a little morning routine with her: We wake up, she eats, we have a bit of playtime before her first nap at 8am.”
Eloise
Sofia is learning to be “more flexible” in her schedule but it’s not always easy.
She explained: “The first four weeks, I was with her 24 hours a day.
“Now she’s gotten to an age where I have her on a sleep schedule, so she’s taking a lot of 90-minute naps throughout the day. My life and everything that I need to get done have to happen within those 90 minutes.”
She added: “I’m a very scheduled, organised person. I’m very type A, clean and organised.
“But I’ve also learned that I don’t have to be that way, because when you have a baby, all of that kind of goes out the window. I’ve learned that I’m more flexible than I think.”
Sofia is prioritising her daughter over work.
She said: “Now as a mom, I think I’ll create some more boundaries.
“If I’ve gotta go to fashion week, then she’s going to pack her bags and come with me. If she can’t, then I’m not going to be able to make it.”

Elliot Page gets misgendered ‘all the time’

OHMYGOSSIP — Elliot Page gets misgendered “all the time” but he doesn’t let it bother him.
The 37-year-old actor – came out as transgender in 2020 – has revealed not everyone gets it right all the time, but he’s not worried about an occasional slip-up as long as it’s not done to be nasty.
He told the Guardian newspaper: “I get misgendered all the time, and I don’t care unless someone’s trying to, you know [be mean].”
Elliot plays a trans man in his new film ‘Close to You’ and the character corrects his onscreen mother when she misgenders him, and the actor insists he wouldn’t have the same reaction in real life.
He explained: “I want to be clear: I wouldn’t correct [her] as me. I’d be like: ‘It’s fine. We’re going to move on from the moment. It takes a second’.
“But, you know, I’m not me. I’m [the character] Sam here. And that moment was so perfect because that’s what happens.”
Elliot went on to reveal his own mother has the odd slip-up but it’s never an issue. He added: “She’s pretty good. I’m like, ‘Of course, it’s going to take you a second, mom. It’s fine. You don’t need to beat yourself up about it!’”
It comes after Elliot recently opened up about his love life confessing it feels “exhilarated” to be single.
The ‘Juno’ star revealed he’s not dating anyone at the moment and is enjoying being on his own because he previously developed a bad habit of getting into relationships for “selfish” reasons.
Speaking to Jay Shetty in the ‘On Purpose’ podcast, Elliot explained: “‘I feel exhilarated by the fact that I can be alone. I’m very much enjoying connecting with people, maybe having some fun, but sort of just being on my own right now. So, I’m single.”
Prior to his transition, Elliot dated Samantha Thomas and was married to Emma Portner for two years.

Rust director Joel Souza ‘ruined’ by fatal shooting of Halyna Hutchins

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Rust’ director Joel Souza has admitted the accidental fatal shooting of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins “ruined” him.
The 51-year-old filmmaker has spoken for the first time about the New Mexico tragedy and insisted it was a “horrible mistake” whilst discussing blame in the dismissed case after actor Alec Baldwin was indicted by a New Mexico grand jury in January after the gun he was holding during a 2021 rehearsal on the set of the flick discharged, killing mother-of-one Halyna, 42, and injuring Souza.
The 66-year-old Hollywood star maintained he didn’t pull the trigger of the gun or know why it contained live ammunition.
He pleaded not guilty, and the case was later dropped after judge Mary Marlowe Sommer decided it should be dumped after she heard claims from his legal team prosecutors had allegedly buried evidence
In his first interview about the accident, Souza told Vanity Fair: “When I tell someone it ruined me, I don’t mean in the sense that people might generally think.
“I don’t mean that it put my career in ruins. I mean, internally, the person I was just went away. That stopped.”
He says armorer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed is now “living with the consequences of that mistake” after she loaded the prop gun with a live bullet.
He said: “I don’t know what that even is anymore, I’ll be very honest with you about that. No one feels good about someone going to jail.
“I think it would be disingenuous and lunacy to say people didn’t screw up things. I don’t think anyone would ever allege that anything was intentional.
“The live bullet got put in the gun. It was a horrible mistake to make, and [Gutierrez-Reed is] living with the consequences of that mistake. Everything that happened was born out of that sin, out of that moment. That single act is what put the rest of this into motion.”
Asked whether Baldwin should have checked the gun first, he said: “Does it matter if I think it’s fair or not? There is an argument that says, if he checks it and starts fiddling around with it, he is creating a safety issue. And then there is another thing that says, it is common sense, Jesus Christ. Be careful with this goddamn thing.
“So I don’t know anymore, to be honest with you. The charges got filed. That’s what they decided to do. Was he overcharged? I don’t know.”
Souza felt obliged to finish the film to honour Hutchins and support her family.
He added: “I knew that the movie being finished would financially benefit Halyna’s family, which is very important to me.
“And I know this can sound trite for people who aren’t creative, but her last work matters. People seeing her last work matters. That was the tipping point for me in the decision.”
The scene in which the gun was fired has been cut from the film.
He insisted: “I’m not going back to that.
“I don’t want anyone who ever does see this to be waiting for that. No one ever pushed to keep anything like that.”

Ashley Park found filming Emily in Paris ‘taxing’ after shock health scare

OHMYGOSSIP — Ashley Park found filming the new series of ‘Emily in Paris’ “so taxing” after her health battle.
The 33-year-old star – who battled leukaemia when she was 15 – was hospitalised with critical septic shock in January, and although it was challenging filming the third season of the Netflix series, she is so “proud” for making it through.
Taking part in Harper’s Bazaar ‘What You Don’t Know About Me’ video series, she said: “Filming was physically taxing in a way I hadn’t previously endured.
“But I had to stop gaslighting myself and be like, I’m allowed to feel this way. I’ll do the best I can in these stilettos and this latex skirt, and I can be proud when I watch this season and know the amount of passion and hard work I put in just to be there.”
Ashley – who pays Mindy Chen on the hit show – recently admitted she feels “lucky” to be alive.
Noting how using humour “makes it easier” to talk about her problems, she told America’s Cosmopolitan magazine: “As an adult, I understand what coping mechanisms are. Stuff I didn’t know when I was a teenager.
“And even though both of the extreme illnesses I’ve had have been such flukes in a way — no one who’s 15 should have cancer, and no one who’s my age should have septic shock — I feel lucky, actually. It’s been kind of a miracle how I’ve recovered.”
Ashley was on vacation with her boyfriend and co-star Paul Forman when she fell ill this year and she doesn’t “think [she] would have made it” without his support in unfamiliar surroundings.
She said: “When I went to the ER and ICU for the first time, I was in the Maldives with Paul. I don’t think I would’ve made it without him. Everybody else was on the other side of the world from us.
“Once I got there, I got really sick with tonsillitis. Then everything really started going wrong.
“I was in different ICUs and then air ambulances for a month. I couldn’t leave because I wasn’t allowed to fly.
“When I finally could, it was a shorter distance to Paris than to LA, so I had to go straight to Paris to recover, not home.
“When I woke up in the hospital and they said, ‘You have septic shock.’ I was like, ‘Oh my gosh, I am shocked I have sepsis!’”
Ashley’s hospitalisation was a wake-up call for her and she’s pledged to take better care of herself in the future.
She admitted: “I pushed myself too far. I was not listening to my body.
“Now, I’m thinking about my future and asking, ‘Am I putting myself in a position where I’m going to be able to do my best?’ That starts with my health.
“I’m getting back to my old self. I look and feel better, and I’m trying to stay as stable as I can and keep the same energy that people expect.”

Chiwetel Ejiofor has tired to emulate Cary Grant’s versatile acting career

OHMYGOSSIP — Chiwetel Ejiofor always aspired to be a versatile actor like Hollywood legend Cary Grant.
The 47-year-old actor loves how the late actor – whose movie credits included romantic comedies such as ‘The Awful Truth’ (1937), ‘Bringing Up Baby’ (1938) and ‘His Girl Friday’ (1940) and Alfred Hitchcock classics ‘Suspicion’ (1941), ‘Notorious’ (1946), ‘To Catch a Thief’ (1955), and ‘North by Northwest’ (1959) – could “slip into different genres” easily and has tried to emulate that in the variety of roles he’s had over the years.
He told Variety: “Even before I thought I wanted to be an actor, I always loved Cary Grant. I remember seeing him in Holiday with Katherine Hepburn when I was very young, under 10 years old, and thinking ‘Oh, they’re doing something called acting.’
But he was an actor who I always thought could slip into different genres in this very easy way. You’d buy him in comedies and romantic comedies and then intense thrillers. You couldn’t categorize him. So for me, when I started working on stage, the idea of just putting on lots of different hats, sometimes in the same show, was always an integral part of what acting was to me. So, yeah, it’s been great. I’ve been very gratified to find that in my professional life I’ve been able to do something similar to that in different genres and different styles of films, and it’s definitely something that I would hope to take into writing and into directing.”
Chiwetel’s roles include ‘Love Actually’, ‘Kinky Boots’, ’12 Years a Slave’, ‘The Martian’ and Marvel’s ‘Doctor Strange’ films.
He’s next set to star in the new ‘Venom’ film and ‘Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy’.
He said of joining the latter franchise: “In a way, with Love Actually I feel like that sort of broader Working Title universe is something I’ve always kind of been a part of. It was fun to join it at a slightly different angle. There’s such a warmth to those films. They’re funny and engaging and beautifully acted and so well made. So on that basis, there’s just such an extraordinary framework to move into. They have the sort of warmth of their humanity as well as engaging in the sort of the politics in the world of the modern day, and having something to say about the world we live in. But it’s always with a sense of optimism, hopefulness and sometimes actually just the very best of our possibilities. And I love that.”

His death came to light on Friday (16.08.24) and was confirmed by the LA County Medical Examiner’s Office – with an official cause of death being deferred pending an autopsy.
Perry was struck by a grey Honda Civic at around 11.20pm on Thursday according to law enforcement sources cited by TMZ.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
TMZ has reported a suspect has been arrested on suspicion of felony hit-and-run causing death.
He was travelling between shows when he was killed, with his daughter Zelda Velazquez also confirming his death in a social media post.
The Los Angeles Fire Department pronounced the victim dead at the scene and Foxla has reported police have arrested an 18-year-old suspect on suspicion of felony hit-and-run causing death.
Officials in the LAPD said Perry was crossing the street at Ventura Boulevard and Melvin Avenue when a car allegedly being driven by the teen struck the comic.
The teenager is said to have been arrested after a witness contacted authorities an hour after the crash.
They apparently saw the suspect’s vehicle “oddly parked” and with a “broken windshield”.
When Perry appeared on ‘AGT’ in 2006 he rapped about the judges but was rejected with three ‘No’s’ from the panel.

Dakota Johnson insists she’s ‘happily together’ with Chris Martin

OHMYGOSSIP — Dakota Johnson is still “happily together” with Chris Martin.
The actress, 34, has been seeing the Coldplay frontman, 47, since 2017, and she insisted they are still dating after a report emerged on Friday (16.08.24) they had called it quits.
Dakota’s representative told Page Six in the wake of the report: “The reports are not true. They are happily together.”
The report said the couple had “now accepted the relationship is over – and it’s best to move on”.
Rumours of a split came as Dakota was absent from Coldplay’s European leg of their ‘Music of the Spheres’ tour, which is sold out and set to end on 2 September in Ireland.
Split rumours surrounding the couple of more than seven years have also been recently fuelled by the ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ actress not wearing her engagement ring from Chris throughout the summer.
But she was seen sporting her band from the singer in June when she attended the Glastonbury Festival in Somerset, England.
The couple first started dating in 2017, three years after Chris split from his actress ex-wife Gwyneth Paltrow, 51, with whom he has children Apple, 20, and 18-year-old Moses.
An insider has told Page Six the couple has been engaged for the last six years.
The duo have stayed relatively private about their relationship, but have been open about their co-parenting relationship with Gwyneth, who has been married to TV producer and writer Brad Falchuk, 53, since 2018.
They are so close they have even gone on holidays with Chris’ kids.
Dakota recently told Bustle about being a stepmother to the singer’s children: “I love those kids like my life depends on it. With all my heart.
“I grew up in a family that was so big, and I just believe in the saying ‘Blood is thicker than water.’
Dakota, whose parents are actors Don Johnson, 74, and Melanie Griffith, 67, added: “The actual saying is, ‘The blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb’, which means that the connections with people you choose are more solid than the connections to the people you’re actually born to.”

Prince Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex attended ‘social and emotional gym’ during Colombia visit

The royal, 39, and his wife, 43, are continuing a four-day tour of the nation and also took part in an art session and planted trees during a visit to a school in the capital of Bogota.
While at the Colegio La Giralda, the couple – who have children Archie, five, and three-year-old Lilibet – were greeted by performances from students who wore traditional Colombian dress and performed cumbia songs with percussion.
Pupils also gave presents to the pair for their kids including Colombian style ponchos as well as letters and drawings.
Meghan told one student in Spanish: “You’re the same age as my son Archie.”
Harry and Meghan also visited the school’s “social and emotional gym” – designed to teach students a mix of mental and physical exercises to balance their mental health and personal wellbeing.
The students demonstrated meditation techniques and how they balance their emotions – with Harry then crouching over on his knees to put on boxing gloves before using a punching bag.
Harry also practised his Spanish by asking students their names and ages.
The couple have a full security detail during their visit, alongside vice-president Francia Marquez, who invited them to Colombia.
They had a 14-strong cavalcade of vehicles, while the school they visited was patrolled by soldiers, police and private security.
The school also has a garden and “memory museum” where pupils have shared art they have created paying tribute to victims of Colombian conflicts.

Matthew Perry told live-in assistant ‘shoot me up with big one’ before ketamine death

OHMYGOSSIP — Matthew Perry told his live-in assistant “shoot me up with a big one” before his ketamine death.
The ‘Friends’ actor passed away in October aged 54 from drowning and the “acute effects” of the horse tranquiliser – and his former long-term employee has now admitted in court documents he injected the star with three doses of it in his final hours.
Kenneth Iwamasa, 59, made the confession in a set of plea agreement papers he signed after he and four others were arrested in connection with supplying Matthew with the drugs that killed the actor.
The papers show the injections were administered by non-medically trained Iwamasa from 8.30am on the day Matthew died in the hot tub of his $6 million Pacific Palisades mansion in Los Angeles.
They say after the first dose, Matthew’s assistant gave him another one four hours later – and yet another 40 minutes later.
It was before the third injection Matthew told him: “Shoot me up with a big one.”
The actor is said to have then told Iwamasa to start up the hot tub where his assistant later found him dead with his head in the water after his employee went to run a set of errands.
Matthew’s words were revealed as his stepfather Keith Morrison spoke out to say he hopes “unscrupulous suppliers of dangerous drugs will get the message” after five people were arrested in connection with the late actor’s death.
In a statement issued to Entertainment Weekly, he said: “We were and still are heartbroken by Matthew’s death, but it has helped to know law enforcement has taken his case very seriously.
“We look forward to justice taking its course and we’re grateful for the exceptional work of the multiple agencies whose agents investigated Matthew’s death.
“We’re hoping unscrupulous suppliers of dangerous drugs will get the message.”
Matthew’s doctors have also been accused of abusing their “position of trust”.
DEA Administrator Anne Milgram said about the case: “Matthew Perry’s journey began with unscrupulous doctors who abused their position of trust because they saw him as a payday, to street dealers who gave him ketamine in unmarked vials.
“Every day, the DEA works tirelessly with our federal, state, and local partners to protect the public and to hold accountable those that distribute deadly and dangerous drugs – whether they are local drug traffickers or doctors who violate their sworn oath to care for patients.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Prince Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex are being protected on their Colombia tour by an officer armed wielding a Kevlar shield known as a “ballistic briefcase” to stop a gunman targeting the couple.

Known as a ballistic briefcase it is also used to protect Colombia’s vice-president Francia Marquez – who is hosting the visit and has been the target of several assassination attempts.
The Sun reported Harry and Meghan have an “immense ring-of-steel” security presence.
Officials have kept their itinerary a closely guarded secret due to parts of Colombia being branded “best avoided” by officials and travel experts due to internal conflicts raging in parts of the country.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were escorted to a school on Friday (16.08.24) in the Santa Fe area of Bogota with other tight security that the Daily Mail reported included “at least 16 armoured police vehicles”, as well as armed officers and soldiers, who the publication said were seen on patrol before their arrival.
It added roads were blocked off as the couple’s convoy swept into the area, which the Mail said has been described as a “no-go zone” in the Colombian capital.
MailOnline said when it asked for a taxi to take a reporter to the are “he questioned if we had the right place”.
The school visited to by the couple is overlooked by rundown apartment blocks and several favelas embedded into the hillsides.
Harry and Meghan are visiting the nation despite him battling in court in the UK to get increased protection for him and his family when they visit Britain.

Sydney Sweeney jokingly admits her latest set of flesh-flashing Instagram posts were ‘thirst trap’

OHMYGOSSIP — Sydney Sweeney has jokingly admitted her latest set of Instagram posts was a “thirst trap”.
The ‘Euphoria’ actress, 26, is renowned for posting flesh-flashing snaps on social media, but has now had a laugh by confessing her latest set of revealing images were a blatant bid to grab attention from followers who see her as a sex object.
She captioned a set of snaps showing her in black beach wear as she partied with friends during a lakeside break: “I think they call this a thirst trap.”
Many of Sydney’s fans said they “loved” her honesty, with one pointing out a thirst trap is defined as “a statement by or photograph of someone on social media that is intended to attract attention or make people who see it sexually interested in them”.
Sydney was seen in the images sporting a black-and-white Jonesea wetsuit that goes for $430 – with one of her cheeky snaps showing her posing with her rear towards the camera.
She took them while on holiday with her pals Melissa Hernandez and hairstylist Glen ‘Coco’ Oropeza.
The actress has been spending lots of her free time on the water after she bought a $13.5 million oceanfront mansion near Key West, Florida, in June.
She was recently spotted swimming in her pool and riding a banana boat around the property – which features an aquarium and a 520-bottle wine room.
Sydney has previously joked about flaunting her physique – and recently issued a jokey apology for having “great” breasts.
The actress, who shot to fame playing hysterical schoolgirl Cassie Howard in HBO’s shock teen drama ‘Euphoria’, and who has previously opened up about how she considered getting chest reduction surgery when she was at high school – made the gag by wearing a shirt emblazoned with a naughtily-worded message that said “sorry” she had a wonderful cleavage and “correct opinions”.
Sydney stuck on the top during a recent holiday with friends in Mexico, and uploaded the image of her wearing her cheeky shirt in a carousel of images that also showed her flaunting her toned body in a brown bikini.
There was also a snap of her dancing braless on a beach in a crop top as a mariachi band performed in the background.
Sydney’s fans flooded the comments section of her post about her breasts with praise for the gag, with one joking: “Are you really sorry tho?”
Another of her supporters commented: “That shirt says it all, greetings to haters haha.”

Tragic hit-and-run victim comic Perry Kurtz ‘loved being a dad’

OHMYGOSSIP — Late comic Perry Kurtz “loved being a dad”.
The tragic stand-up – who made his name after appearing in series eight of ‘America’s Got Talent’ and with a zany spot on ‘The Late Late Show with James Corden’ – was killed aged 73 on Thursday (15.08.24) in a hit-and-run in the LA neighbourhood of Tarzana, with his passing revealed on Friday.
A source has now told the Mail Online about how he was a dedicated dad: “The screensaver of his phone had a picture of his daughter, and every time you’d talk to him he would always ask you how you were doing and always brag in a great way about his daughter and what she was getting into.
“He really loved being a dad.”
The insider shared their memory of Perry’s love of being a parent after his girl Zelda Velazquez confirmed his death in a Facebook post.
Perry’s friends also revealed to MailOnline the TV star had been singing Billie Eilish songs at a karaoke event – where he told pals he was planning to make a comeback on ‘America’s Got Talent’ – two nights before he was struck by a car.
One said: “This past Tuesday while he was out doing karaoke, he was talking about how he was looking forward to auditioning for ‘AGT’ again.
“He was looking forward to doing stand up and also had a few shows lined up at senior communities in the next few months.”
The insider added Billie’s hit song ‘Bad Guy’ was Perry’s preferred backing track while enjoying himself at karaoke bars.
They spoke out after his agent Dante Rusciolelli issued a tribute in his memory to the New York Post.
She said: “Golden Artists Entertainment and myself are personally devastated by this news.
“Perry was not only a client, he’s been my friend since 1987.
“He has been a staple in the Los Angeles comedy community for decades and will be greatly missed. Our prayers are with his family.”
