OHMYGOSSIP — Thomas Rhett refused to “give up” on his marriage during tough times.
The 34-year-old singer tied the knot with Lauren Akins in 2012 and adopted Willa, right, from Uganda around the time they found out she was pregnant with Ada, seven, and while they were both “internally imploding” as he tried to manage his career at the same time, it never occurred to them to throw in the towel.
He told UsWeekly: “We were becoming famous at arguably the hardest moment in our personal lives. Adopting [Willa Gray] and getting pregnant at the same time while having to be in Uganda for a year with me traveling back and forth was so challenging. I’d go to Uganda and be husband and dad, and then go to America and be like, ‘OK, shows and music’. I was internally imploding, and so was Lauren. We’d both come to these breaking points [feeling like] something has to give. It was not a fun time in our marriage.
“Giving up was not an option. That thought has never crossed my mind or Lauren’s. With me being a fixer and Lauren being stubborn, we made it work. The easiest thing to do is quit. But when you don’t and you keep grinding it out, you’ll inevitably become stronger.”
The ‘Overdrive’ hitmaker – who also has Lennon, four, and two-year-old Lillie with Lauren – noted that he is actually “so grateful” for the challenging times and likes to use his platform to remind others that a relationship is filled with ups and downs.
He said: “I’m so grateful we had to go through that because now we have a full bag of tools to use the next time something hard [happens].
“One of my favorite things to do is talk about how hard marriage can be and how hard it is to be a dad and raise children to be good people. There are days that are easier than others and moments of pure joy, and there’s a lot of days that suck.”

The 43-year-old pop star tied the knot with ‘Hot In Herre’ singer Nelly, 49, in December 2023 and the couple welcomed baby Kareem in mid-July, but did not reveal the news until Wednesday (21.08.24) night.
A representative for the couple told People: “Ashanti and Nelly welcomed their baby boy, Kareem Kenkaide Hayes, on July 18, 2024. The proud and happy parents are so in love with KK!”
The ‘Foolish’ hitmaker also took to Instagram as the news broke to share candid snaps of her body a month on from giving birth.
She declared: “Four weeks postpartum. You have no idea what this body can do!”

Nelly already has daughter Chanelle, 30, and Cornell, 25, with his his ex-girlfriend Channetta Valentine and adopted his nephew Shawn, 27, and niece Sydney, 20, following the death of their mother in 2005.
Ashanti – who was initially in a relationship with Nelly from 2003 until 2013 but reconciled with him a decade later – recently confessed she was “shocked and happy and emotional” all at once when she found out she was pregnant because becoming a mother was what she had wanted for so long.
She told ‘Entertainment Tonight’: “I was so shocked and happy and emotional. I always dreamed about it.I wanted it so, so bad and I just feel like the timing was perfect.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Dennis Quaid felt “very strange” when he became older than his dad ever was.
The 70-year-old actor lost his father Buddy when he died at the age of 63 in 1987 and “always felt bad” that his father never reached the milestone birthday that he celebrated in April.
Speaking on ‘Today’, he said: “I turned 63 and I woke up in the middle of the night about six months after and it just hit me. So I counted the days from my dad’s birthday to the time he died, and from my birthday to when I woke up. It was the same number of days. In that night I was older than my dad had been. I still feel like he’s here in my heart and stuff, like that, but it’s… you become… it’s hard to explain.
“Here’s the thing: my dad passed when he was 69. I always felt bad that he didn’t make 70. It’s a very strange feeling to get past the point that your father did.”

“I grew up in the Baptist Church, and in my teens I become disillusioned [with it].

The 36-year-old dancer recently released her first novel ‘Everything We Never Knew’ – which follows a a woman who begins to experience strange events and realizes she has new powers but then is dealt with an ultimatum regarding her husband – and had to make sure that her mother Marriann knew that she was not the maternal character, even though Julianne used “so much of her lived experience” to write the story to begin with.
She told Access Hollywood: “It is my version of being able to share my universal [themes] of what I have gone through in my life, without giving all my personal details to everyone. I called my mom today and was like, ‘Hey mom just so you know, I know I’ve talked to you about this, but you’re not the mom in my book. Just so you know, because there are some heavy things in there and I just want you to know, you’re not the mom don’t worry.”
“It was easy it was so much of my lived experience, as well as my understanding of relating to others as much as I could you know and pulling experiences that other people have had.”

The 57-year-old actor – who has Sadie, 18, and 15-year-old Sunny with his wife Jackie, 49, – is fronting the upcoming Netflix special ‘Adam Sandler: Love You’ but swears “a lot” in it and revealed his kids didn’t even attend the premiere.
He told E! News: “I do curse a lot. I apologise to many, many people out there, especially my family. They don’t need to know those words exist. [My daughters] can see a couple parts of. I don’t throw it on for them too quickly. In fact, they’re not coming tonight, they’ll see me at the party after. But I said, ‘You don’t need to see this one.”

The 34-year-old pop star was forced to cancel three dates on her ‘Eras’ tour in the Austrian capital earlier this month due to a planned attack at the Ernst Happel Stadium before officials arrested three teenagers, and Taylor took to social media on Wednesday (21.08.24) evening following the conclusion of the European leg of her tour to release a statement.
She wrote on Instagram: “We have officially wrapped the European leg of The Eras Tour. With it came the most passionate crowds I’ve ever played for, new traditions in the show, and an entirely new era added in. The 48-year-old actor tied the knot with Samantha, 37, in May 2022 and has daughter Dylan, 19 months, but documents obtained by TMZ on Wednesday (21.08.24) show that she has filed for divorce and that they separated in June.

The 43-year-old singer confirmed this week that she and the 49-year-old singer and rapper had welcomed baby boy Kareem Kenkaide Hayes, who the couple have nicknamed KK, into the world on July 18th, and she has now revealed Nelly took inspiration for his name from Ashanti’s father.
Speaking to ‘Entertainment Tonight’, she said: “Kenkaide is my dad’s name, and obviously my dad has only girls.
“Nelly was just like, ‘I think that would be really, really dope.’ This was all his idea.
“It was incredible to watch just how confident and how gentle and how soothing he is with his son.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Queen Camilla’s work with “brave” domestic violence survivors is to be explored in her first documentary since her coronation.
The 77-year-old monarch has teamed up with ITV to make ‘Her Majesty The Queen: Behind Closed Doors’ – which is currently a working title – and the film will feature interviews with victims of domestic abuse and relatives who have lost loved-ones, as well as those working to end the violence.
The 90-minute film will follow Camilla over the course of a year as she attends official engagements and never-before-seen private meetings with survivors and change-makers who are attempting to achieve progress in this field.
It will also feature the queen hosting round-tables with teenagers, celebrating International Women’s Day at Buckingham Palace and meeting survivors who, if they hadn’t made it to a refuge, could have lost their lives.
Camilla, who has been involved in spreading awareness of domestic and sexual violence for more than a decade, said: “I have learned from my conversations with these brave survivors that what they want above all is to be listened to and believed, to prevent the same thing happening to others.
“Let’s not lose this precious opportunity to speak up and galvanise action that will see the end of these heinous crimes forever. With determination and courage we will succeed.”
‘Her Majesty The Queen: Behind Closed Doors’, which will air later this year, will also explore why perpetrators abuse, and asks how we can stop the cycle of abuse.
Sue Murphy, ITV’s Director of Factual Entertainment, said: “ITV is proud to be making this documentary with Her Majesty the Queen about this hugely important subject.
“We hope the film will raise awareness and inspire change in our society.”

The 30-year-old actress loved swimming in cold waters during her younger years, and Saoirse relished the opportunity to do it again while filming ‘The Outrun’ on the Orkney Islands in Scotland.
Speaking to the BBC, Saoirse shared: “That’s something I love to do – I’ve swam in cold water since I was a kid in Ireland. It’s kind of my safe space.”
Saoirse found shooting the drama movie to be “an incredibly immersive experience”.

The acclaimed actress acknowledged that success can easily change people.

Despite this, Saoirse feels she’s been “protected” from the pitfalls of fame and success by her family.
The movie star said: “I think I was protected.
