OHMYGOSSIP — Alison Carey had a “tough life” prior to her death.
The estranged sister of pop superstar Mariah Carey passed away on the same day as her mother Patricia, 63, on the same day over the weekend (24-25.08.24) and now friend David Baker has explained that her demise came as “a shock” despite it being on the cards.
He told People: “She had a tough life. We saw it coming, but it’s still a shock. She got ill fairly quickly and a month later, she’s gone.”
No exact cause of death has been revealed for neither Alison nor Patricia yet, but David noted that Mariah’s sibling had spent part of her time in a hospice but managed to get her “dying wish” to pass away in her own home in Coxsackie, New York.
The ‘Always Be My Baby’ singer had not spoken to her sister for years prior to her death, but is was recently claimed by David that Alison had hoped that she and her sibling would make amends.
He told DailyMail.com: “I know it was her dying wish if she could’ve at least had a conversation with Mariah … ”
Mariah previously opened up about her troubled relationship with Alison in her 2020 memoir ‘The Meaning of Mariah Carey’, claiming she had long struggled with drug addiction and the singer decided to cut contact with her “ex-sister”.
Baker added of the book: “It stung because Mariah called Alison her ex-sister. [Alison] used to babysit and take care of Mariah. When that came out, she couldn’t believe that Mariah had done that because she already was not talking to her, but then she kicks Alison in the teeth while she was already down.”
After the double tragedy, Mariah shared her sorrow in a statement which read: “My heart is broken that I’ve lost my mother this past weekend. Sadly, in a tragic turn of events, my sister lost her life on the same day.
“I feel blessed that I was able to spend the last week with my mom before she passed. I appreciate everyone’s love and support and respect for my privacy during this impossible time.”

OHMYGOSSIP — David Chokachi regrets losing touch with Pamela Anderson.
The 53-year-old actor starred as the on-screen boyfriend of Pamela’s character C.J. Parker on the hit 1990s series ‘Baywatch’ but the pair stopped speaking after she moved away from Malibu and he admitted it was a “bummer” because they were good friends.
He told Us Weekly: “We were in touch, she was living in Malibu for a while and I would see her. And then she kind of uprooted and went back to Vancouver Island, and she kind of disengaged from the whole thing. She wanted to get a fresh start. It’s a bummer because we had a good friendship.”
The ‘Witchblade’ star noted that he and Pamela – who left ‘Baywatch’ in 1997 amid her marriage to Motley Cure rocker Tommy Lee – always worked so well on set together because of how neither of them took things so “seriously” and didn’t assume that they would become A-list film stars following their appearances on the action drama series.
He said: “[She] and I worked so well because we were really self-deprecating, like, we never took it that seriously. lot of people thought, ‘I’m turning into a movie star. I’m leaving the show.’ We weren’t those kinds of actors. We were just like, ‘This is so fun. Why would you leave the show? We get to do all these great things together, be on the beach and be with a bunch of really cool people.”
David also noted that he particularly enjoyed “shooting second unit” because that meant that a fun day on the water was lined up.
He added: “It always meant we were going to be doing action and water rescues, driving the boats, jet skis, beating up bad guys or making out with Pam. “Second unit was a lot of montage stuff. You knew it’d be a really fun day. That’s where you go to work, and you get to do all these cool things in the water.”

The 40-year-old actress starred alongside Joey, 48, in ‘Socked in for Christmas’ and following the news that he and his wife Samantha Cope are to divorce, she took to social media on Wednesday (28.08.24) to clear her name amid allegations that she was the reason for their split.
She wrote on Instagram: “It is with a deep sadness and heavy heart that I must address the recent allegations about the relationship between myself and Joey Lawrence, which have unfortunately become a public matter. The outlet reported that Samantha “checked the box to block the court’s ability to award either of them spousal support ” and that she has asked for “sole physical custody of their daughter” until she reaches the age of three, at which point she will permit her to stay with her dad for up to “two nights per week”.

The former actress married Prince Harry in 2018 but the pair relinquished their royal duties in favour of a life in LA two years later and now that she has invested in the Cesta Collective handbag collection, has opened up on how being in the “global spotlight” enables her to shine a light on smaller brands.
She told the New York Times: “I spend a lot of time just Googling, looking for brands. When people are online looking for things or reading things, I’m trying to find great new designers, especially in different territories.

The 30-year-old country music star took to social media on Wednesday (29.08.24) evening amid the promotion of her new record ‘Patterns’ to announce the sad news that her nine-year-old labrador mix Dibs – whom she named in honour of the 2015 track from her debut album ‘The First Time’ – is suffering from the terminal disease and while he is not in “any pain”, the goal is to make him as “comfortable” as possible for the short amount of time he has left.
She wrote on Instagram: “Hey friends, I feel pretty disingenuous promoting this album and tracklist reveal (which I am so, so proud of) without updating you on my sweet Dib’s health.
“The last few days we have discovered that Dibby has inoperable cancer in his heart. He’s not in pain, and luckily it hasn’t spread further. We’re going to start him on the “Big” meds to try to make sure he can have as many comfortable and happy days (weeks, months) left as possible. ”
The ‘Love Me Like You Mean It’ singer – who is currently dating ‘Outer Banks’ star Chase Stokes but was previously married to fellow country musician Morgan Evans – claimed that her boyfriend is the “greatest dog dad” that she could ask for and her pooch is getting “extra cuddles” and treats amid the ordeal.
She added: “The doctors have been amazing, my mom is here (he stans grandma), and Chase is the greatest dog dad in the world. He is getting extra cuddles and kibbles from his little family.”
Kelsea previously explained that she had always grown up with dogs and Dibs came into her life just as her music career was kicking off so he had been “by her side” throughout.

OHMYGOSSIP — Olivia Munn had an “unbelievably difficult” time with postpartum anxiety.
The 44-year-old actress welcomed son Malcolm in November 2021 with her husband John Mulaney and in the months that followed the birth, she suffered nightly bouts of anxiety which she likened to being stuck underwater and unable to come up for air.
Speaking on ‘The Kelly Clarkson Show’, she said: “I had heard about postpartum depression and I was prepared for it, but postpartum anxiety was something I had never heard about and it hit me like the entire ocean was on top of me.
“It was unbelievably difficult. It was a month after I had the baby and all of a sudden at four a.m., my eyes just pop open, and I start [gasping for breath] and then my chest is tight and it stays tight all the long.
“For a whole year, every day at four a.m my eyes would pop open and I would be gasping for air and my chest would stay tight all day long. It was like this constant anxiety, a panic. If you’re holding your breath underwater, and you can’t come up for water, imagine what that feels like. I felt like that every single day.”
The ‘Newsroom’ star has since learned that her “low milk supply” could have played a part in her condition and is “heartbroken” for women who experience feelings of negativity towards their baby, but her ordeal came directly before she learned that she had breast cancer.
She added: “I only learned this later, but I had a really low milk supply and apparently when you stop breastfeeding and you stop producing milk, your hormones drop and that could’ve been a contributing factor to my postpartum anxiety.
“But for women who deal with postpartum anxiety, especially the women who have thoughts of self-harm and negative thoughts towards their baby, my heart just completely breaks for them. If I had known about it, I would’ve prepared for it. “I was postpartum for a long time and I got out of that. Just a few months out of that, I found out I had breast cancer.”
Olivia’s diagnosis resulted in four surgeries, a double mastectomy, and medically induced menopause, but she insisted that keeping the news away from her fans meant she could battle the disease without any “noise” and could recover in peace.
She wrote on Instagram: “Keeping it private for as long as I did allowed me time to fight without any outside noise at all.”
Olivia previously explained that she had been for her usual mammogram and her cancer would have gone unnoticed until her next routine appointment but her doctor decided to do a simple risk assessment test based on factors such as her age, medical history and the fact that she had her first child over the age of 30.
After finding that she held an almost 40 percent chance of developing cancer within her lifetime, O livia went for an MRI which led to further tests confirming the disease.

OHMYGOSSIP — Jason Kelce believes his “loving relationship” with his brother Travis is the key to the success of their podcast series.
The 36-year-old former sports star and Travis, 34, recently agreed a money-spinning, multi-year deal with Wondery for their ‘New Heights’ podcast, and Jason has now claimed that their authentic relationship is the reason for their success.
Jason – who announced his retirement from the NFL earlier this year – said during an ESPN media day: “I think on the podcast, you get, first of all, an organic, loving relationship between two brothers. We’re honest with each other. And it comes across.
“And we have good personalities that I think generally audience members appreciate, and like to want to watch and listen to, which I don’t know if I agree fully with that, but they’re there.”
Jason also observed that he and Travis – who began dating pop star Taylor Swift in 2023 – are both “very open people”.

The couple confirmed the arrival of their first child over the weekend and the British model announced she had her first child, a daughter named Shy, on August 23.
Adwoa has spilled that they were born “a day apart”, suggesting Jack was born on August 22.
Hailey commented on Adwoa’s birth announcement Instagram post: “baby Shy!!!!”
And Adwoa has since responded: “a day apart”, along with heartbroken emojis and hatched eggs.

Brittany Cartwright – who has Cruz, three, with her estranged husband – recently submitted paperwork to legally end their marriage, and it’s now emerged that Jax, 45, was actually handed the papers while he was shooting the new season of ‘The Valley’, according to TMZ.
Brittany, 35, listed January 24 as their date of separation, and she cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the breakdown of their relationship.
Brittany is seeking primary legal and physical custody of Cruz and is open to visitation for Jax.
The former ‘Vanderpump Rules’ star also wants to block the ability of the court to award spousal support to either her or her estranged husband.
The celebrity duo announced their split earlier this year.
However, Brittany subsequently admitted that a reconciliation remained possible.
The reality TV star – who tied the knot in 2019 – told Us Weekly: “There’s definitely a chance. But I won’t waste my time and get back into a toxic situation.

OHMYGOSSIP — Matthew Perry is said to have been so obsessed with Batman he called the assistant who injected him with his final doses of ketamine ‘Albert’.
The ‘Friends’ actor nicknamed himself ‘Mattman’ in his final Instagram posts due to his worship of the caped crusader, which were uploaded before he was killed on 28 October, 2023, aged 54 from the “acute effects” of anaesthetic ketamine.
It’s now been reported by the Daily Mail Matthew’s live-in assistant Kenny Iwamasa, 59, was “known as ‘Alfred’ to Perry’s ‘Batman’” – in reference to the comic book vigilante’s 24/7 butler.
Iwamasa admitted in court documents he injected Matthew with three doses of ketamine in his final hours.
He made the confession in a set of plea agreement papers he signed after he and four others were arrested in connection with supplying the ‘Friends’ star with the drugs that killed the actor.
The papers show the injections were administered by non-medically trained Iwamasa from 8.30am on the day Matthew died in the hot tub of his $6 million Pacific Palisades mansion in Los Angeles.
They say after the first dose, Matthew’s assistant gave him another one four hours later – and yet another 40 minutes later.
It was before the third injection Matthew told him: “Shoot me up with a big one.”
The actor is said to have then told Iwamasa to start up the hot tub where his assistant later found him dead with his head in the water after his employee went to run a set of errands.
It’s also been reported by the Mail Matthew let go his nursing team – who had been on his payroll for years due to his addictions and health issues – before his death.
One source told the newspaper the actor “had very few people around him late last year” and was “very isolated” before his passing.
Matthew’s assistant Briana Brancato left the actor’s employ in 2023 after seven years, a year after his live-in sober companion Morgan Moses also stopped working for the star.

OHMYGOSSIP — Ben Affleck will reportedly avoid a red carpet reunion with his estranged wife Jennifer Lopez by skipping the premiere of their new film.
Jennifer stars in ‘Unstoppable’ – which was produced by Ben – and it’s set to debut at the upcoming Toronto International Film Festival in Canada next month but a new report suggests Ben will be absent from the film’s glitzy red carpet premiere so he can avoid a potentially awkward public encounter with the singer/actress after she filed for divorce.
A source told New York Post column Page Six that Jennifer will attend the screening on September 6 but Ben has decided not to be there.
The Hollywood couple called it quits back in April after almost two years of marriage but they kept their split secret until Jennifer filed court papers on August 20 – the date of their second wedding anniversary – confirming the relationship was over.
A previous report published by the Daily Mail suggested that movie bosses were pushing for the pair to appear together at the film festival to give ‘Unstoppable’ a publicity boost.
A source told the publication: “[Certain producers are] pushing the two to appear together at the premiere in Toronto to create buzz on the film”.
‘Unstoppable’ isn’t the only film project the former couple have in the pipeline – Jennifer recently wrapped filming on ‘Kiss of the Spider Woman’, which has also been produced by Ben’s company Artists Equity.
The 55-year-old pop superstar was engaged to Hollywood actor Ben in the early 2000s but the relationship ended shortly before they were due to tie the knot.
They got back together in 2021 before tying the knot in two ceremonies in 2022 – one in Las Vegas and one in Georgia.
The divorce filing came exactly two years after the couple’s extravagant second bash on August 20 2022. The divorce filing lists the official date of their separation as April 26 2024.
A source previously told PEOPLE that Jennifer took the move to file for divorce because she knows it’s time to “move on” but she’s still very “sad” that the marriage is over.

The ‘Glee’ star become a mum for a second time when she welcomed a little girl named Emery Sol with her husband Zandy Reich following a heartbreaking battle to conceive again after previously welcoming their son Ever Leo in 2020.
Lea confirmed her happy news in a post on Instagram on Sunday (25.08.24), writing: “Our hearts are so full Emery Sol Reich.” She added a picture of the proud parents and their son putting their hands close to the baby’s feet.
Emery is believed to arrived shortly after her big brother turned four earlier this month.
Lea previously opened up about the painful battle to conceive her second child revealing she suffered three heartbreaking miscarriages before getting pregnant with Emery.
The actress previously struggled to get pregnant with Ever but put it down to complications from polycystic ovary syndrome and she hoped “getting pregnant a second time would be easy” but she went on to suffer “two back-to-back, very early, failed pregnancies” followed by a third.
During an appearance on the ‘BDA Baby’ podcast, Lea explained: “‘I had never had a miscarriage before. The first one, I was like, ‘That was weird’.
“When it happened again right away, I was like, ‘Wait a second. Something is wrong’ … It wasn’t until a little bit later [that] I had another.
“I was working at the time. It was super challenging to … process what we were experiencing at the same time, which was very painful.”
After her third miscarriage, Lea sought medical help and was eventually diagnosed with endometriosis.
The actress underwent surgery and then had to take “so many drugs and medications” and get “one thousand shots” before she finally got pregnant with baby number two.
She also revealed her latest pregnancy experience has been “very different” to her first, telling PEOPLE: “It was an incredibly different experience, being pregnant with Ever. We were in California, and we were in a pandemic.
“So it was a lot of just hanging out at home and very minimal activity. And now, it’s New York, it’s the busy streets. I’m working, I’m a mom, and it’s very different …
“None of my friends saw me pregnant, ever. You know, my best friend, Jonathan [Groff], never saw me pregnant. He wasn’t with me, and my dad was in New York, he was on the East Coast [during] the pandemic.

The 30-year-old pop star and the 27-year-old model are proud parents to son Jack Blues Bieber and after announcing his birth on Saturday (24.06.24), insiders have explained that Justin was “over the moon” to become a dad and that he and his wife are “overjoyed” with the arrival.
A source told People: “They’re doing well. They’re both overjoyed. The baby is such a miracle. He’s adorable and doing well! Hailey’s doing well, too. The pregnancy was something that they very much wished and prayed for.

She added: “I probably could have hid it until the end. But I didn’t enjoy the stress of not being able to enjoy my pregnancy outwardly. I felt like I was hiding this big secret, and it didn’t feel good. I wanted the freedom to go out and live my life.”

The 58-year-old actress – who was initially married to David Justice from 1993 until 1997, then to Eric Benét from 2001 until 2005, and then to Olivier Martinez from 2013 until 2016 – has been in a relationship with Van Hunt for over four years but admitted that she has “fantasised” about what might have happened had she stayed together with her first love from her teenage years in Ohio.
She told Britain’s HELLO magazine: “I think it’s something we have all fantasised about, if we’re honest about it. Wondering what happened to the one that got away and how things would have turned out had you stayed together. Or what you would say if you suddenly ran into them now. We’re still close friends so it’s different. I feel grateful for the time we had together, but I don’t have any regrets. It was fun at the time, but I needed to move on and discover life beyond my own backyard.”
‘The Oscar-winning star – who has Nahla, 16, with her first husband and Maceo-Robert, 10, with her third – is now appearing opposite Mark Wahlberg in the new spy comedy film ‘The Union’ and she loved getting to have her family with her on set as she filmed the comedy about two former high school sweethearts on a mission.
She said: “I had my family with me in London, so we got to do some stuff there. We also shot in Slovenia, which was fascinating because I have never been there before. So it wasn’t all work.”
Halle also noted that she hopes to “keep working” and “stay healthy” so that she can be around for her children for as long as possible.
She said: Hopefully, I get to keep working, to keep challenging myself and most of all, that I stay healthy.
“I have two children who are still growing up. I just want to keep doing what I have been doing and take care of myself because it’s really important I stick around for them. It’s important to look after yourself, to take care of your body and to eat well. It’s the lifestyle that helps.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Justin Bieber chose his wife Hailey Bieber’s “delivery manicure”.
The 30-year-old pop star and the 27-year-old model confirmed the arrival of their son Jack Blues Bieber in a post on Instagram on Saturday (24.06.24) and now it’s been revealed Justin picked out a special nail design for Hailey so she could have a perfectly polished manicure when she delivered their baby.
Manicurist Zola Ganzorigt told Vogue: “Justin has been choosing Hailey’s nail design lately and it was his request … [He chose a] more muted, nude-ish white micro French [design].”
The ‘Baby’ hitmaker confirmed the couple’s happy news by sharing a snap of the newborn’s foot held by his mom and captioned the picture: “WELCOME HOME. JACK BLUES BIEBER.”
It has since been revealed the singer was “over the moon” to become a dad and the couple are “overjoyed” with the arrival.
A source told People: “They’re doing well. They’re both overjoyed. The baby is such a miracle. He’s adorable and doing well! Hailey’s doing well, too. The pregnancy was something that they very much wished and prayed for.
“The day they found out that Hailey was pregnant was the best ever for Justin. He was over the moon with excitement. It was a big celebration for them. Justin’s already a great dad.”
The Rhode Skin founder and the ‘Sorry’ singer announced in early May that they were expecting a child – and revealed Hailey was six months along at the time, making her due date sometime in early August.
Hailey didn’t announce their big news until she was six months pregnant as she was able to hide her small bump using “big jackets”.
She told W magazine: “I was honestly able to keep it quiet because I stayed small for a long time. I didn’t have a belly, really, until I was six months pregnant, which was when I announced it. I was able to wear big jackets and stuff.”
