Michael Madsen files for divorce

OHMYGOSSIP — Michael Madsen has filed for divorce and accused his estranged wife of driving their son to suicide.
The ‘Reservoir Dogs’ actor has submitted paperwork to legally end his 28-year marriage to DeAnna Madsen, and though he cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for their split, he also included a statement in which he alleged he had been a victim of abuse for years.
According to TMZ, he wrote that he split from DeAnna in 2022 because he believed her “neglect, drinking and alcoholism” drove their son Hudson to take his own life in January that year.
And the 66-year-old star claimed DeAnne contributed to his own problems as he ended up in an “abusive, co-dependent, and toxic relationship”, which ended with his wrongful arrest on domestic violence charges last month.
The ‘Hateful Eight’ actor was taken into custody in Malibu, California, on 17 August and arrested on a charge of misdemeanour domestic battery but the case was thrown out less than two weeks later due to insufficient evidence.
Michael’s spokesperson told TMZ at the time: “We are thrilled that Michael Madsen is able to put this behind him and look forward to our continued collaboration with more great things coming from this veteran and respected actor.”
Following Michael’s arrest, his lawyer insisted the veteran actor was “definitely not guilty” of domestic abuse.
The legal representative told The Hollywood Reporter Michael had “confronted” DeAnna and “asked her to leave” the house, saying the couple are facing an “ongoing problem”.
The attorney added: “Michael has shown immense compassion and restraint during this period towards his estranged wife.
“He’s definitely not guilty of domestic violence.”
DeAnna also told The Hollywood Reporter: “Michael is struggling with his own personal issues. Myself and our children have been supporting him to the best of our ability. We would request privacy at this time.”
The Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department has said deputies responded to a call just after midnight on 17 August after they were warned a “female adult” had alleged her “husband pushed her and locked her out of their residence”.
The former couple are also parents to Luke and Kalvin, while Michael also has Christian, Max, and Jessica from previous relationships.

Jimmy Carter ’emotionally engaged’ as he approaches 100th birthday

OHMYGOSSIP — Jimmy Carter is still “emotionally engaged” as he approaches his 100th birthday.
The former United States President – the longest-living US President in history – is set to celebrate the milestone on October 1, and his grandson Jason Carter has given an update on his the former politician after he entered hospice care in February 2023.
He told People magazine: “I mean he’s been in hospice for over 19 months now and he has really physically diminished and can’t do much on his own.
“But he is emotionally engaged and still having experiences and laughing, loving.”
In June, Jason admitted there had “really been no change” in Jimmy’s condition since he went into hospice in his native Plains, Georgia.
In November last year, Jimmy’s wife and former First Lady Rosalynn Carter died aged 96.
Speaking to Southern Living, Jason said his grandfather was “experiencing the world as best he can as he continues through this process”.
He added: “After 77 years of marriage… I just think none of us really understand what it’s like for him right now.
“We have to embrace that fact, that there’s things about the spirit that you just can’t understand.”
Although Jimmy isn’t awake every day now, his family still visit frequently.
Jason recalled one visit earlier in the year when he asked his grandfather how he was getting on.
He said: “I told him, I said: ‘Pawpaw, you know, when people ask me how you’re doing I say, ‘honestly I don’t know’.
“And he kind of smiled and he said ‘I don’t know, myself.’ It was pretty sweet.”
Rosalynn died last year, months after being diagnosed with cancer.
At the time, President Joe Biden and his wife Dr Jill Biden said in a joint statement: “She was a champion for equal rights and opportunities for women and girls; an advocate for mental health and wellness for every person; and a supporter of the often unseen and uncompensated caregivers of our children, aging loved ones, and people with disabilities.
“Time and time again, during the more than four decades of our friendship — through rigors of campaigns, through the darkness of deep and profound loss — we always felt the hope, warmth, and optimism of Rosalynn Carter. She will always be in our hearts.”

George Clooney pretended to be Brad Pitt to prank Meryl Streep, Tom Cruise

OHMYGOSSIP — George Clooney pretended to be Brad Pitt to prank Tom Cruise and Meryl Streep.
The 63-year-old actor once received a gift of fake stationery purporting to belong to his ‘Wolfs’ co-star and former US president Bill Clinton, and he has used the headed paper to fool a number of his famous friends.
Speaking to talk show host Jimmy Kimmel – who gave him the stationery – he admitted: “Every actor I know I’ve sent a letter from Bill Clinton.
“I try to find their worst film and I tell them, ‘So I was on the plane and [watching your movie].’”
And George admitted his letters from ‘Brad’ were particularly “brutal”, with one note sent to Tom suggesting they make a sequel to their 1994 movie ‘Interview with the Vampire’ – but that they swap roles.
George said: “I sent it to Tom Cruise, saying they want to do [‘Interview with the Vampire 2’], but this time Brad wants to play Lestat.”
Jimmy laughed: “Brad this afternoon said that Tom called him and said, ‘Yeah, it’s cool, you can play Lestat, that’s fine, I’m OK with that,’ and he was like, ‘What are you talking about?’”
And when it came to Meryl, the former ‘E.R.’ star sent her a gift that ‘Brad’ felt would come in useful for her.
He explained: “I sent [a letter] to Meryl Streep with a box of CDs for dialect and I said, ‘This guy helped me with my accent in Troy and I think it could really help you.’ ”
The ‘Men Who Stare At Goats’ actor is known for his love of pranks and admitted he deliberately “scared the s**t” out of ‘Wolfs’ director Jon Watts before he pitched the film to Brad.
He said: “I really made him go through the pitch with me, I made him work on it. ‘Tell me how you’re going to say it, don’t do that.’
“I really just scared the absolute s*** out of him before [he called Brad].”
But George claimed most stars are too scared to prank him back.
Asked if celebrities usually figure out that any bizarre letters they receive are from him, he said: “There’s usually some guess involved with me. Usually somehow they figure it out.
“I will say this — once you’ve done a really dastardly, long-running thing, it’s like having nuclear weapons.
“Everyone’s so terrified that you can — you know this — somebody called Richard Kind and they wanted to do ‘Punk’d’ or one of those dumba** shows, and they wanted to like punk me and they called all my friends and they were like ‘No! He could put a dead body in my apartment.’ ”

Oprah Winfrey buys back rights to documentary about her life

OHMYGOSSIP — Oprah Winfrey has bought back the rights to a documentary about her life.
The 70-year-old television icon has reacquired the rights to her own life story from Apple TV+, three years after Oscar-winning filmmaker Kevin Macdonald was attached to helm the project alongside her longtime producer Lisa Espamer.
In a statement to Page Six, Oprah’s spokesperson said: “As the Apple TV+ deal was coming to an end, Ms. Winfrey bought back the rights to her docu-series and has since decided to put the doc on hold.
“Ms. Winfrey believes Lisa Erspamer and Kevin MacDonald are incredibly talented filmmakers and is grateful for the time and energy they put into the project.”
Oprah ended her content deal with Apple two years ago, and the documentary has been shelved.
Although some source told the outlet that creative differences are behind the project being halted, an insider close to the TV star insisted it simply “wasn’t the right time to do a documentary”.
And despite speculation it would cost her millions to reclaim the rights to the documentary, a source has denied it reaching seven figures.
The legendary talk show host celebrated her landmark 70th birthday in January this year, and she has since admitted she has developed a new outlook on life.
Appearing ‘TODAY’ last month, she said: “There is a sense of knowing that there isn’t as much time left and I am at peace with that knowing. There’s a sense of urgency for me about living well.”
Oprah underwent knee surgery in 2021, and that proved to be a turning point in her life.
She explained: “I had been becoming more and more debilitated to the point where it was hard to walk down even two steps just to get into the car. You know that pain.
“When I finally went to the knee doctor and I said, ‘I don’t know, is it time?’ He goes, ‘It’s time if you want to continue walking. You like walking? It’s time.’”
Oprah now feels better than she has done in many years.
The TV icon – who hosted ‘The Oprah Winfrey Show’ for 25 years – explained: “I think I have just aged into a form of myself that is wiser, that is certainly stronger, that is more vibrant and aware and conscious than I’ve ever been. I don’t feel that my edges are softening.”

Colin Farrell will watch classic dramas when he ‘grows up’

OHMYGOSSIP — Colin Farrell will watch the likes of ‘Breaking Bad’ and ‘The Sopranos’ when he “grows up”.
The 48-year-old actor is flattered by comparisons between his new HBO series ‘The Penguin’ – in which he reprises his ‘The Batman’ role as the titular villain aka Oswald ‘Oz’ Cobb – and the groundbreaking dramas but admitted he’s barely watched any episodes of the award-winning shows.
Speaking to reporters at the New York City premiere of ‘The Penguin’, he said: “I’ve only seen two episodes. I have ‘Sopranos’, I have ‘Breaking Bad’ and someday when I grow up, I have ‘The Wire’ to catch up on, which are the three I think of when I think of extraordinary television.
“That, kind of, in their time, changed the face of television and opened up possibilities for other shows.
“So what do I think of when I hear about those comparisons? Nothing but compliments.
“You know, they’re revered and deeply loved shows by so many people. So that’s — they’re cool comparisons. I think there are worse ones you could make.”
Colin spent three hours in the make-up chair every morning to transform into the character and he found it “very powerful” to see a whole new version of himself.
He said: “Do you ever see cats looking at themselves in the mirror? How they recoil and they just don’t know [it’s them]? It was strange.
“It’s not like I ever fully lost sense of myself, but it was a very powerful thing to know yourself a certain way for 45 years and to see a reflection. And it also kind of made me aware of how much I identified with how I look.
“It was really, really powerful. It was something very powerful and very kind of hypnotic to the experience.”

Cate Blanchett thinks ‘polite disagreement’ is ‘super important’ in movie making

OHMYGOSSIP — Cate Blanchett thinks “polite disagreement” is “super important” when making a film.
The Oscar-winning actress had worked on some projects where the set was “like summer camp” and everyone got on well, but the end result was an “awful” movie.
Speaking at the Toronto International Film Festival’s (TIFF) ‘In Conversation With…’ series, she told the audience at the Royal Alexandra Theater: “There’s a sort of misconception somehow that making a film, when it’s great, is like summer camp. I’ve been on a couple of those, and the films have been f****** awful.
“Polite disagreement, respectful disagreement is super important in the creative process, and know you’ve got a healthy relationship with someone when you can really fight for things, but then allow your mind to be changed.”
Cate made her comments as she recalled working on her 2015 drama ‘Carol’ and urged director Todd Haynes to “step away” from the set to “clear [his] head” during a complicated scene set-up.
She said: “One night we were shooting a scene in ‘Carol’, the house was kind of a strange abandoned house we were shooting in that was really hard for Ed [Lachman] to get the light in to light the scene properly. It was really complicated.
“You could tell Todd [Haynes] was finding it really difficult.
“You expect a director to have everything together and hold it together all the time.
“Sometimes they’re the ones that need a hug. And you need to say, ‘Why don’t you step away and clear your head a little bit?’ In the way that he’d make the space for the actors to do that, we make space for them.”
The 55-year-old actress recalled Todd agreed with her suggestion and “he stepped away so we could figure out a different way to position it.”
The ‘Tar’ actress insisted “you always want to do the best for a director like that” so that the work can come together in the end.
She added: “It was quite fluid, but there’s no conflict with him. He’s sort of conflict-averse. That doesn’t mean you necessarily have to agree.”
One of the Australian actress’ “best jobs” was in 1999 thriller ‘The Talented Mr. Ripley’, which also starred Matt Damon, Jude Law and Gwyneth Paltrow.
She said: “It was one of my best jobs.
“It was such a great — I had the best summer with Philip Seymour Hoffman… we went to a place called Fashion Pizza. We ate lots of pizza. And I got Matt’s fabulous apartment because he needed to be in the Four Seasons training every day whereas I got to luxuriate.”

Louis Partridge isn’t a ‘celebrity’

OHMYGOSSIP — Louis Partridge doesn’t view himself as a celebrity because he still lives with his parents.
The ‘Enola Holmes’ actor – who is dating singer Olivia Rodrigo – insisted he isn’t “living the high life” and doesn’t want his head to get turned by fame.
Asked if he thinks of himself as a celebrity, he cringed as he told GQ Hype: “I guess living at home kind of helps: I’m hardly living the high life. You can sort of entertain it for a little bit, but I think it’s important to drop it as soon as possible.”
But the 21-year-old star admitted he does “enjoy” red carpet events.
He said: “I do really enjoy it, the showbiz and the red carpets. It’s not like you present your work, step back, and people enjoy it. You’re selling it.”
The ‘Disclaimer’ actor doesn’t have “great ambitions” for his career and is happy to take each opportunity as it comes.
He said: “I don’t have a plan that I’m working towards. I don’t – to be quite honest – have great ambitions. I try as much as I can, but also a lot of it is unconscious. [I just] go with the flow a little bit.”
But Louis isn’t interested in getting involved in a major franchise such as a Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) film.
He said: “I came close to doing something just like that. If I’m honest, I’m very glad I didn’t.
“So far I’ve been lucky not to be too tied; the only IP or franchise would be ‘Enola’, and I love that world. I’d do it again. That kind of thing suits me, but I never really watched things like ‘Star Wars’ or ‘Game of Thrones’.”
Asked about the MCU, he added: “God, no. Maybe I just have no imagination, but I really struggle with things like that.”

Kate Moss suffered ‘awful’ abuse over heroin-chic style

OHMYGOSSIP — Kate Moss suffered “awful” abuse after she was accused of glamorising an unhealthy body image.
The 50-year-old supermodel became part of the “heroin chic ” fashion trend in the mid 1990s with her “waif”-like style and Kate has now confessed she was singled out for criticism because she was different to previous stars of the catwalk.
Speaking in new Disney Plus documentary ‘In Vogue: The 90s’, Kate explained: “Parents would come up to me and say, ‘My daughter’s anorexic’. It was awful.
“I think because I was just skinny, and people weren’t used to seeing skinny. But if I’d been more buxom, it wouldn’t have been such a big deal. It’s just that my body shape was different from the models before me.”
Kate was just a teenager when she shot to fame as a model and one of her most famous shoots for Vogue magazine – which she posed in lingerie – helped cement her as part of the trend, but the pictures shot by photographer Corinne Day sparked a major backlash.
Vogue fashion editor Catherine Kasterine said of the shoot: “The public were not ready. They were absolutely appalled. Immediately, the pictures were completely vilified and slammed. Perhaps we’d underestimated how that look had in our minds been quite normal.”
Vogue editor Dame Anna Wintour added: “That look – very undernourished-looking model – made people uncomfortable.
“Many of us at Vogue worried about heroin chic or anorexia, all the things that are associated with that look. It got to such a fever pitch. I remember physically being in the White House when the Clinton administration took the issue on.”
In the documentary, Kate also opened up about her controversial 1990s advertising campaign for Calvin Klein in which she posed topless with Mark Wahlberg during his years in the music industry as Marky Mark.
She said: “It was quite overwhelming. I was 18, you know, he was a big superstar rapper, and I still felt like I was just a girl from Croydon. They asked me to be topless. It was just a lot of people on set, a lot of men. I did feel vulnerable.”

Johnny McDaid is ‘lucky’ to be with Courteney Cox

OHMYGOSSIP — Snow Patrol star Johnny McDaid feels “lucky” to be in a relationship with Courteney Cox.
The 48-year-old musician has been dating the ‘Friends’ actress since 2013 and he feels grateful to be with someone who is keenly interested in his work and admits Courteney is glad she actually likes his music because it would be awkward if she hated the songs he was producing.
Johnny told The Times newspaper: “I’m lucky with Court because she loves music. She was playing piano this morning, she wants to know all about it.
“She tells me she’s lucky to be with someone whose music she likes because she couldn’t imagine going to endless gigs by someone whose music she hated.”
When asked if the couple “compare notes” on their jobs, Johnny replied: “Yes, because actors go away to make a movie, they have little purview over what happens after they do their bit, and the rest of us get to see it a year later.
“[Snow Patrol singer] Gary [Lightbody] and I go into the room I’m in right now and come out a few hours later with a song. Court is fascinated by that process.”
It comes after Courteney revealed the couple split up five years ago after a therapy session but subsequently gave their romance another go.
During an appearance on the ‘Minnie Questions’ podcast, she shared: “I didn’t know it [the break-up] was coming …
“I’m so thankful for that break-up [now] because when we got back together it was a different relationship, but also because it really taught me how I operated in the world – what were the things from my childhood that I needed.”
Courteney – who was married to David Arquette between 1999 and 2013 – went on to reveal self-reflection and therapy have been hugely beneficial for her, adding: “Whether it was to be adored by men. Things that I didn’t know how to let go to be in a relationship. To not take things personally. My boundaries, I just went into myself and I had a great therapist.”

She told The Sunday Times Style magazine: “Our son got married this year, and there we all were being a family for the week. I mean, he’s [Gary] married.
“He’s on his fifth wife now. And she’s lovely. But I don’t see him all the time, we mostly bump into each other at awards ceremonies.
“We’re both nominated for an Emmy this year. He’s the same. We’re the same. We still make each other laugh.”
Lesley went on to reveal her most treasured possession is a gift from her son, which was organised by Gary. She added: “Gary did it as a present for Alfie to give to me. You know when your kids are young and it’s mummy’s birthday. It’s a little frame.
“And you open it out and on one side is a black-and-white photo of Alfie, aged about six. And on the other side, you press the button and there’s a recorded message and it’s his little voice saying a birthday message to me. If I’m away from home, even for a night, it’s always with me. So it has sat on the bedside table of many a hotel.”
Lesley and Gary split in 1989 and divorced a year later. The ‘Slow Horses’ star went on to tie the knot with Uma in 1990 but they divorced by 1992. He went on to walk down the aisle with model Donya Fiorentino and singer/ actress Alexandra Edenborough before marrying his fifth and current wife writer Gisele Schmidt.
Lesley previously opened up about the breakdown of her marriage during an appearance on BBC Radio 4’s ‘Desert Island Discs’ admitting she felt very lonely as she raised her son alone.
She explained: “It was a tremendously lonely time.[It was in the] days before mobile phones as well …
{We had} the best time [during the marriage but then] the rug was very severely pulled from under my feet. I’d thought we’d be together forever, we’d have a big family, but maybe if that had happened, maybe I wouldn’t have the career I’ve got now,.”
After divorcing Gary, Lesley was married to Joe Dixon between 2000 and 2004 but is currently single.

Janet Jackson reveals she won’t be putting her son into showbusiness

OHMYGOSSIP — Janet Jackson won’t be putting her son into showbusiness.
The 58-year-old singer – who has seven-year-old Eissa with her ex-husband Wissam Al Mana – has amassed huge success since starting out as a child star in the 1970s and while she is “so thankful” that she got the chance to be a mother, has insisted that she will not be putting her little boy on the same path and will leave the decision completely up to him.
Speaking on UK TV show ‘Loose Women’, she said: “It means everything. I’m so thankful that God allowed me to experience [motherhood], because it didn’t have to be. I do a lot of reflection, it’s amazing because kids don’t realise what you go through as a parent or what you have going on the back burner.”
However, if Eissa is particularly passionate about a showbiz career, Janet won’t stand in his way once he’s an adult.
She added: “It’s about him. If that’s what he wants but I would say that he has to wait til he’s of age and still make sure that’s what he wants to do. Whatever you do is very difficult. The industry is very tough, but he would have to wait til he is 18.”
The ‘Miss You Much’ hitmaker is the tenth and youngest child of the Jackson family and recalled her brothers, including the late Michael Jackson, becoming child stars as part of The Jackson 5 and is “happy” that her father pushed her to follow the same career path but does wish she had had the chance to pursue education further.
She said: “I am happy because he obviously saw something that I didn’t, but I still wish I would’ve experienced college. Or, I should say university. I always wanted to experience that. I was just a baby when my brothers were successful, so that’s all I’ve ever really known.”

Kerry Katona calls for curriculum overhaul away from ‘pointless’ subjects

OHMYGOSSIP — Kerry Katona doesn’t understand why schools teach “geography and other pointless subjects”.
The former Atomic Kitten singer – who has Molly, 23, and Lilly, 21, with first husband Brian McFadden, Heidi, 17, and 15-year-old Max with second husband Mark Croft, and 10-year-old DJ with late third spouse George Kay – believes kids need to spend more time being taught “real-life skills” as they can use “Google and AI” to fill in gaps in their general knowledge.
She wrote in her column for new! magazine: “DJ is back at school now and couldn’t wait to start – she was so excited. I can’t believe she’s in Year Six! Where does the time go?
“DJ loves school, but I like it when the kids are off.
“I don’t think schools are teaching kids the right things anyway.
“We’ve got Google and AI now, so I don’t understand why they need to learn geography and other pointless subjects? I think schools should teach kids how to buy a house and do their taxes – real-life skills.”
Kerry turned 44 on Friday (06.09.24) but wasn’t keen to celebrate as the occasion brings back too many unhappy memories.
She explained: “It’s quite a triggering time for me – I think it’s because it was a couple of days after my 13th birthday that I got put into a foster home.
“I’ll never forget getting some birthday money that year, I think it was about £35, and having to give it away to a taxi driver to help my mum.
“I get quite depressed around my birthday, so I don’t want to do much for it, especially this year as I’m ill. I always say that Mother’s Day is my day. I like to celebrate then.”

The Spice Girls star became known for her Posh Spice bob after shooting to fame with the girl group but she stunned fans by lopping off her locks and embracing a pixie crop – and she’s now revealed she was channelling iconic supermodel Linda who often wore her hair short.

“I was in New York, and I went to [hair stylist] Garren, who was Linda’s hairdresser. When he cut all my hair off. I was channeling my inner Linda.”
In the documentary, Victoria, 50, also spoke about her own relationship with fashion – revealing her husband David splashed out on a pricey Prada suit to impress her on their first date.
She said: “When I first met David in 1997, he’d heard that I was the Spice Girl that liked the designer clothes. So after me going to a couple of football matches – I would say I was pursuing him, he’d probably say it was me stalking him – we arranged to go out on a date together.
“He thought, ‘She’s the one who likes designer clothes,’ and so he actually went out and bought himself a full Prada look for our first date to impress me. Which it did.”
Victoria’s appearance in the Disney Plus feature comes after it was revealed she’s going to be lifting the lid on her own life in a Netflix documentary – following in the footsteps of husband David who was the focus of a similar project last year titled ‘Beckham’.

The release added: “Following husband David Beckham’s doc series chronicling his rise to fame as a successful soccer player and pop culture icon, the upcoming doc promises to get up close and personal with the former pop star as she juggles her business and family life.”

She said in a video message filmed last month and released by Kensington Palace on Monday (09.09.24): “As the summer comes to an end, I cannot tell you what a relief it is to have finally completed my chemotherapy treatment.
“The last nine months have been incredibly tough for us as a family. Life as you know it can change in an instant and we have had to find a way to navigate the stormy waters and road unknown.”
The princess admitted her health battle had been “scary” for her whole family but made her and husband Prince William – with whom she has children Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, nine, and six-year-old Prince Louis – for all they have in their life.
She added: “The cancer journey is complex, scary and unpredictable for everyone, especially those closest to you. With humility, it also brings you face to face with your own vulnerabilities in a way you have never considered before, and with that, a new perspective on everything.
“This time has above all reminded William and me to reflect and be grateful for the simple yet important things in life, which so many of us often take for granted. Of simply loving and being loved.”
While Catherine is “looking forward” to returning to work, she will remain focused on her recovery.
She continued: “Doing what I can to stay cancer free is now my focus. Although I have finished chemotherapy, my path to healing and full recovery is long and I must continue to take each day as it comes.

She concluded: “Despite all that has gone before, I enter this new phase of recovery with a renewed sense of hope and appreciation of life. William and I are so grateful for the support we have received and have drawn great strength from all those who are helping us at this time.
“Everyone’s kindness, empathy and compassion has been truly humbling.”
“To all those who are continuing their own cancer journey – I remain with you, side by side, hand in hand. Out of darkness, can come light, so let that light shine bright.”

Elle Macpherson warned her support for holistic cancer treatments could end up leading to someone’s death

OHMYGOSSIP — Elle Macpherson has been warned by a cancer-survivor TV host her support for holistic treatments for the disease could end up leading to someone’s death.
Supermodel Elle, 60, has been at the centre of a massive backlash from medics and cancer groups since she recently revealed she had been diagnosed with the disease seven years ago – but opted for alterative remedies after having a lumpectomy at the start of her treatment.
After Elle doubled down on her comments by giving a detailed interview to ’60 Minutes Australia’ about her health fight, 70-year-old Australian TV presenter Kerri-Anne Kennedy – who was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2012 – hit out in an interview with The Australian: “I understand Elle did what she thought was good for her personally, but the very fact she has resisted any other medical treatment absolutely terrifies me.
“Without question, it will result in the future that somebody will take that line and feel confident enough to try and do it themselves naturally, and someone is going to die.”
Kerri-Anne also slammed the ’60 Minutes’ show that featured Elle for not giving a balanced enough counter-viewpoint to Elle’s support for holistic medicine.
She said to have made the programme “seriously responsible “ it would have had to have featured an “oncologist who could actually balance Elle’s remarks”.
The TV host went on: “I believe ‘60 Minutes’ was irresponsible by not having an oncologist who would give an alternative point of view.
“They should have absolutely gotten an oncologist (who) said, ‘As an oncologist, I’ve seen this type of cancer and many other types of cancers in my 30-year career. People who have not followed the advice have died’.”
Elle is in remission from cancer and told ’60 Minutes’ she has always followed “natural” medicine, and said her choice to use it to fight her breast cancer was as “unconventional” as the “rest of her life”.
The model went against the advice of 32 doctors by refusing chemotherapy after undergoing a lumpectomy for HER2 positive oestrogen receptive intraductal carcinoma.
She instead underwent eight months of intense therapy with a team of doctors in Phoenix, Arizona, all specialising in various holistic medicine disciplines.

Selena Gomez ‘can’t carry’ children due to medical reasons

OHMYGOSSIP — Selena Gomez “can’t carry” children due to medical reasons.
The ‘Wizards of Waverly Place’ actress, 32, recently said she was planning to adopt a baby before she met her music producer boyfriend Benny Blanco, 36, who she has been dating since 2023 – and has now revealed she has had to “grieve” her inability to naturally become a mother.
She told Vanity Fair: “I haven’t ever said this, but I unfortunately can’t carry my own children.
“I have a lot of medical issues that would put my life and the baby’s in jeopardy. That was something I had to grieve for a while.”
Selena went on about how she is still determined to become a mum in a “different” way: “It’s not necessarily the way I envisioned it. I thought it would happen the way it happens for everyone.
“I’m in a much better place with that. I find it a blessing that there are wonderful people willing to do surrogacy or adoption, which are both huge possibilities for me.
“It made me really thankful for the other outlets for people who are dying to be moms. I’m one of those people. I’m excited for what that journey will look like, but it’ll look a little different.”
She added surrogacy or adoption would still mean she would be a mum, saying:
“At the end of the day, I don’t care. It’ll be mine. It’ll be my baby.”
In 2013 Selena was diagnosed with lupus and four years later successfully received a kidney transplant.
She told Time magazine about how she resigned herself to being a single mum before she got together with Benny: “I was alone for five years and I got really used to it. A lot of people are afraid of being alone and I probably tortured myself in my head for like two years being alone, and then I kind of accepted it.”
Selena added she then “came up with my plan” – which was for her to adopt at the age of 35 if she “had not met anyone”.
She said about things changing when she met Benny: “It just happens when you least expect it.”
Selena took her romance with Benny, born Benjamin Levine, public in December, and he has told how his “next goal” is to have children with the actress.
He said on ‘The Howard Stern Show’: “That’s my next goal, to check the box (of having a family.)
“I have a ton of godkids; I’ve got a ton of nephews. I love being around kids.”
