‘He’s doing great’: Brian May’s wife Anita Dobson provides update after his minor stroke

OHMYGOSSIP — Sir Brian May’s wife Anita Dobson is “completely confident” he will make a “full recovery” after he suffered a stroke.
The Queen legend was instructed to rest up after his minor stroke that saw him rushed to hospital a few weeks ago, and although he’s finding it difficult to take things slow, he knows it’s important to fully mend.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column, Anita said: “He’s been told to rest. It’s hard to keep him resting, but he needs to, otherwise he won’t get well.
“He’s doing great – he’s on the road, he’s doing really, really well. We’re very pleased.
“I’m completely confident he’ll make a full recovery.
“You have to take things slowly, chill a bit. He’s not that kind of animal!”
Brian was able to make light of the health scare and joked about his “very exciting” hospital dash.
Former ‘EastEnders’ actress Anita, 75, added: “It’s good to keep a sense of humour.”
The 77-year-old guitarist shared that he was left unable to “control” his arm after the “little health hiccup” but reassured fans he was OK and was relieved he could still play his beloved instrument.
The ‘We Will Rock You’ hitmaker told fans in an Instagram video update: “I hope you’re all well out there. I’m here to bring you first of all some good news. I think good news is that I can play guitar after the events of the last few days and I say this because it was in some doubt because that little health hiccup that I mentioned happened about a week ago and what they called it was a minor stroke and all of a sudden – out of the blue – I didn’t have any control over this arm so was a little scary.”
Praising the staff who cared for him at Frimley Hospital in Camberley, Surrey, he added: “I have to say I had the most fantastic care and attention from Frimley Hospital where I went blue lights flashing… the lot. Very exciting!”

Cardi B exercising to ‘avoid postpartum depression’ days after giving birth

OHMYGOSSIP — Cardi B has been exercising to “avoid postpartum depression”.
The 31-year-old rapper announced on Thursday (12.09.24) that she had given birth to a baby girl – her third child with estranged husband Offset, 32 – and she admitted her postpartum journey is already “different”.
Cardi replied after a follower responded to a workout video and commented on “the pressure women in the industry are under”.
She explained on X, formerly Twitter: “This is my third baby and postpartum is a little different from my first two…
“I’m not doing heaving lifting, no muscle straining, squatting none of that… just cardio.
“Sometimes to avoid postpartum depression you gotta keep your mind busy and for me that’s work and staying active… but you know what’s funny??
“Y’all dragged me down when I gained 15 pounds because I was 5 months pregnant but now yall fake concerned and wanna talk about pressure???
“Y’all said I was pregnant to avoid working now that you see I’m still at it it’s something else?? So yeah I’m taking this personal but its FOR ME because either way y’all are gonna have something to say. (sic)”
The fan quickly replied and insisted their comment was more about “society’s expectations of women and ‘snap back’ culture” than Cadi herself.
The ‘Up’ hitmaker responded: “Totally babe!! And I do agree about society and pressure… I just was never the type to care about snap back after birth.
“I don’t know what it is about this time around but I have this burst of energy where I want to do EVERYTHING… It’s like I want to complete all my goals in one day. (sic)”
The ‘WAP’ singer is reportedly heading for divorce from her fellow rapper, but the pair reunited in the delivery room and Cardi revealed to fans she was a new mum by posting snaps of her cradling her newborn alongside her older children daughter Kulture, six, and son Wave, three.
Cardi’s baby’s name has not yet been announced, and the birth comes amid reports she and Offset are not planning on saving their marriage – even though they put on a united from at Wave’s recent birthday party.
Sources have told TMZ the paid have never discussed not being around their kids even if they split, due to their amicable co-parenting.

Marvel star Brie Larson to make West End debut in Greek tragedy

OHMYGOSSIP — Brie Larson is set to make her West End debut in ‘Elektra’.
The Oscar-winning star will make her debut in poet Anne Carson’s adaptation of the Sophokles play helmed by Tony Award-winner Daniel Fish.
She said: “I couldn’t be more excited to perform in this Greek drama, or in better company collaborating with Daniel Fish and Anne Carson. Storytelling has always been the way I organise life, feelings and experiences. I look forward to sharing space with the wonderful West End audience while we explore this timeless story.”
The plot follows Elektra and her long-lost brother Orestes who seek justice following the murder of their father Agamemnon by Clytemnestra and their stepfather Aegisthus.
Daniel commented: “What is ancient and what is contemporary? Carson’s translation explodes this question. It is a thrilling challenge to work on Sophokles’s tragedy, by way of Carson’s words, and on the beautiful stage of The Duke of York’s with Brie Larson.”
The show will receive its premiere at the Theatre Royal Brighton from January 13 to Saturday 18 January 2025, before heading to the Duke of York’s Theatre in London for an 11-week run starting on January 24.
Sign up for priority booking at www.ElektraPlay.com. Tickets go on general sale on Wednesday 2 October 2024.
Brie won acclaim for her performance in 2015’s ‘Room’ and has since starred as Carol Danvers in Marvel’s first female-led superhero blockbuster ‘Captain Marvel’.
The 34-year-old actress won her Academy Award for her portrayal of a kidnapping victim in ‘Room’ and later admitted she struggled to shake off the “dark” role for more than a year afterwards.
Taking part in one of The Hollywood Reporter’s roundtables earlier this year, she said: “I basically haven’t done anything as dark as ‘Room’ since ‘Room’, because it took me a year to get out of it. And it was really scary. It took me a long time to be able to just do basic things that I used to enjoy in my life.
“So, yeah, you hope that you have the grace of a line producer who’s scheduled it so that there are moments where you can offload.”

Jodie Foster’s sons are ‘insecure’ about their careers

OHMYGOSSIP — Jodie Foster says her sons are “pretty insecure” about their own careers.
The 61-year-old actress – who just won her first ever Primetime Emmy Award for her role in ‘True Detective: Night Country’ – has reflected on how her boys Charlie, 26, and Kit, 22, are starting their own journeys in the working world.
She told People magazine: “They’re at that age where they’re starting their careers and they’re pretty insecure about what’s gonna happen.
“But every time they get a joy, like I got an ‘A’ or ‘I got this job’ or ‘I got an audition’, my heart just fills up 14 times because I have this memory of a beautiful career that’s built on doing meaningful work, and I know that’s the recipe for happiness.
“So I’m just thrilled for them, for the future.”
Jodie – who shares her boys with ex-wife Cydney Bernard – previously opened up on her parenting style, and the decision to not tell her kids she was an actress when they were younger.
Appearing on ‘The View’ in January, she said: “I don’t know why, I guess I just didn’t want them to know me that way.
“I wanted them to know me as their mom and the person who went away to work and stuff. I just didn’t want them to be confused about what I did for a living.”
At one point, she brought her eldest son on set when she was three years old, and “bought him a little plastic tool belt” to keep him occupied.
She laughed: “And for a really long time, he thought I was a construction worker. He thought I did construction.”
And as her children have grown up, they’ve become less interested in watching her films – while there are others she’s happy to them to “never” see.
She added: “They have no interest in watching my movies with me. I think they’re going to catch ‘True Detective’, cause they’re really into that.
“And yeah, there’s a few films that I would never show them because I would be worried about being teased.
“‘Nell’, for example, they’ve never seen because they do tease me often about that, even though they’ve never seen the movie.”

Demi Lovato feels ‘existential dread’ about aging but it’s not about her looks

OHMYGOSSIP — Demi Lovato gets a feeling of “existential dread” about aging.
The actress and singer – who uses she/they pronouns – turned 32 last month and she explained while she isn’t “worried” about her looks changing as she grows older, she still has “anxiety” about the process.
She told People magazine: “Aging is something that, if I think too hard about it, I can get anxiety about — not because I’m worried about how I look or the changes in my body or my face, but because of that existential dread.
“I like to stay in the present moment. When we think about things that are in our past or things that are in our future, we’re not present, and presence is the biggest gift that we can give ourselves.”
Looking ahead to the next year, Demi acknowledged that humans “always want what we can’t have”, which means “we sometimes put pressure on ourselves” simply for not being as young as we once were.
She noted that “one day” in the hopefully very distant future, people will regret wasting time “worrying about age” with the world at their feet.
She said: “You’ll be 80, 90 years old and you’ll look back and you’ll say, ‘Why did I waste my time when I was 30-something worrying about age when I had so much to look forward to and so much time on my hands?’
“I try not to focus on how much time we have left, but rather than how much more life experience that we get to have if we’re lucky enough.”
Demi releases her new documentary ‘Child Star’ – her directorial debut – on Tuesday (17.09.24) and she is glad to be telling a story close to her heart after rising to fame on ‘Barney and Friends’ and ‘Camp Rock’.
She explained: “This was just a story that I had been wanting to tell for quite some time.
“I’ve always thought about exploring the history of child stars, and also looking at different points of views and the perspective of what it’s like to be a child star in today’s day and age.”

Caprice Bourret doesn’t hide past but sons have never ‘experienced’ her life in the public eye

OHMYGOSSIP — Caprice Bourret’s sons have never “experienced” her life “in the public eye”.
The 52-year-old model – who has 10-year-old sons Jax and Jett with husband Ty Comfort – has never tried to hide her past from her boys, and she admitted they only really see her as “mum”.
She told OK! magazine: “I believe that if you don’t experience something, you don’t know the full impact of it.
“So they haven’t experienced my life as ‘Caprice in the public eye’, they’ve just experienced the loud mum shouting on the sidelines at their football matches – the loud American one!
“So they just know me as ‘mum’. The mum who meets them at the bus stop after school, the mum who takes them home and cooks horrible food for them – I’m a terrible cook, really terrible – so that’s who they know.”
Although her sons are sometimes curious if a fan calls out to her in the street, she explains that they “probably read about me yesterday in the newspaper”.
Caprice has always been keen to avoid putting her kids “into the public eye”, admitting it can be “daunting”.
She added: “I signed up for it but they didn’t. I’ve never taken them to premieres or even talked about them much.
“In the last 11 years, I can count the amount of photoshoots on my left hand.
“I’m sure some judgemental people think it’s because I don’t care, but it’s been my job as their mum to protect them until they made that decision for themselves.”
Caprice also pointed to the way things have changed from her time in the spotlight, and noted she is fiercely “protective” of her family.
She said: “And let’s be real, these days are very different from when I was in the press every single day of my life for 15 years.
“My life is now private and I’m so protective of my children, I would never use them to get coverage for myself.”

The 33-year-old pop star and the 49-year-old Hollywood director secretly got married in 2022, and the ‘I Will Never Let You Down’ hitmaker has given a brief glimpse into their life together, sharing how they are always “full of ideas” as creatives.
She told E!: “We inspire each other.
“With me coming from music and him being a writer, a director and a filmmaker, it’s a house full of ideas. We’re both fire signs, too. So it’s just fire, fire, fire.”
Rita then quipped: “I am the funny one, I just want to let you all know that.
“But actually, we help each other out, always.”
Rita previously explained that she wanted to keep their wedding private for a while, having shared so much of herself with fans over the last decade.
She told OK! Magazine: “I wanted to keep [the wedding] to myself for as long as I could. I’ve been in the public eye for a while now and I’ve always given everything I’m part of to the public. It felt nice to have something that was a secret for a bit.”
The ‘Anywhere’ hitmaker – who popped the question to Taika herself – added that even her friends started to worry they had missed the nuptials before she invited just eight of her nearest and dearest to the intimate ceremony in Los Angeles.
She said: “A lot of my friends were like, ‘Oh my God, we’ve missed it.’ I just told them that we will figure something out. It felt chill – because my life is not chill!”
Rita is a stepmother to Taika’s two children with his ex-wife Chelsea Wistanley and is open to the idea of having her own children.
She said: “Nothing much has changed in my life, I now just feel I’ve got company. But with Taika being from there [New Zealand], it’s very important for the children to have a home.
“It [having my own children] happens when it happens. I just believe in the universe.”

Ellen star Sophia Grace reveals she’s having a baby girl

OHMYGOSSIP — Sophia Grace is having a baby girl.
The 21-year-old star – who shot to fame on ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’ at the age of eight alongside her younger cousin Rosie McClelland – did a gender reveal for her second child with her mystery boyfriend for her subscribers after hosting a private party with her family.
In the YouTube clip, which showed her popping a pink confetti cannon and a cake with a pink sponge, she said: “A lot of people do their gender reveals on their YouTube channel.
“I personally don’t mind doing it privately, with my very close family, because that is just the sort of thing that I like to do.”
Sophia – who is already a mother to 18-month-old son River – has known the gender of her unborn child for a while now and is struggling to settle on a name.
She admitted: “I’m not one of them people that has a list of names in their notes.
“Like, I know loads of girls—even ones who aren’t pregnant—have their baby names ready, and I am just not that girl.
“I haven’t found one that I really love yet, so I’ll have to have a good think about it.”
Sophia – who has not disclosed the identity of the father of her children – wanted to hold off unveiling the sex of the unborn tot and waited until she was 20 weeks pregnant to share her pregnancy.
In a video on her channel uploaded last month, she said: “I’m so excited to be doing this video. I’ve been hiding this for a super long time. I’m a very paranoid and anxious person. I always like to wait until I’m around the 20-week mark. I’ve had both of my scans and everything’s been fine so far, which is really good.”
Sophia is excited that her eldest will have a sibling who is so “close in age” to them and she is looking forward to watching them grow up together.
She said: “It’s going to be so nice for him to have a younger sibling. And because they’re quite close in age, they can grow up together, and I just think that’s really sweet.”
The former child star previously explained that she has kept her partner’s identity out of the public eye because she wants to keep something to herself.
She told E! News: “Because I have always been in the spotlight, I feel like I want something just to keep to myself. Just something that I can keep private and that I can just enjoy myself and not have to share it with everyone.”

Pamela Anderson to receive Zurich Film Festival Golden Eye Award

OHMYGOSSIP — Pamela Anderson is set to receive the Zurich Film Festival Golden Eye Award.
The 57-year-old actress and former Playboy cover star is being honoured for her role as Las Vegas showgirl Shelley in the Gia Coppola film ‘The Last Show Girl’ – with the Swiss film festival’s artistic director Christian Jungen calling for Pamela to receive an Oscar nomination for the portrayal.
He said: “Pamela poured her heart and soul into the character of Shelley and captivated us right from the start.
“She completely immersed herself in her character, turned Shelley’s inner life inside out with her facial expressions and made sure that we sympathised with her. A terrific performance, perhaps the best of her career, which deserves an Oscar nomination. We are therefore delighted to honour Pamela Anderson, this cult actress with whom many of us have grown up and who has reinvented herself time and again, at the ZFF.”
Pamela and Gia, 37, will be in attendance at a gala screening of the flick at the festival on October 4, where she will accept the prize in-person.
Pamela relished the opportunity to star in the movie at this stage of her career.
The former ‘Baywatch’ star – who has released a documentary and a best-selling memoir in recent years – recently told Collider: “I think timing is everything. I thought I was never gonna get the chance to do anything like this.
“I kind of thought, ‘Oh, well, that’s what people think of me. I’m just gonna go back to my farm, make jam, and that’s it. I’ll figure out another way to make my life beautiful.’
“But the documentary came out, the book came out, and Gia saw the documentary. She must be some kind of master or prophet or something, but she was so wonderful to send the script to me, and I read it and I was like, ‘Oh god, this is that thing. This is that thing when people read a script and they really realise they’re the only ones that can do it. They have to do it. It’s life and death.’ And I felt that way, and I get chills even thinking about it.”
Pamela – who stars in the movie alongside the likes of Jamie Lee Curtis, Dave Bautista, Brenda Song, and Billie Lourd – insisted: “I knew I had to do it. And so I’m just so grateful.”

Madison Beer backs Chappell Roan after comments about ‘creepy’ fans

OHMYGOSSIP — Madison Beer thinks “a lot of people” misunderstood Chappell Roan’s complaints about fame.
The ‘Femininomenon’ hitmaker was met with some criticism when she called out “abuse and harassment” from “entitled” fans, and Madison has insisted the backlash was misplaced.
Speaking to NME magazine, she argued that “a lot of people have taken what [Roan] said wrong”.
She added: “How I took it was she was talking about the people who do things that are inherently wrong, like sit outside of her house or follow her home from an event.
“You can’t do that to people, you have to allow people to be human.
“And I think we forget that people, like our favourite artists, are human beings at the end of the day.”
The 25-year-old star supported the idea of artists being able to set their own boundaries, and she dismissed the idea that Chappell – whose real name is Kayleigh Rose Amstutz – was being “ungrateful”.
She said: “I don’t think she’s ungrateful for her fans. People have said, ‘You signed up for this. You have to deal with it now.’
“And I think that’s not true. Just because she makes music and people might like it, it doesn’t mean that she signed up for that.”
Madison urged people to “have more empathy”, pointing to how Chappel was “got famous so fast” this year.
She added: “People forget this is probably also overwhelming as f*** for her… She’s a person, and now suddenly she has the biggest crowd at Lollapalooza.
“And it might not always all be positive, even if it’s always what you dreamed of and always what you’ve wanted.”
In a series of TikTok videos last month, Chappell blasted fans for a certain “type of behaviour” towards celebrities and insisted it shouldn’t be accepted by those living in the public eye.
In a series of videos on TikTok, she said: “I don’t care that abuse and harassment, stalking, whatever, is a normal thing to do to people who are famous.
“I don’t care that this crazy type of behaviour comes along with the job, the career field I’ve chosen.
“That does not make it OK. That doesn’t make it normal. That doesn’t mean I want it. That doesn’t mean that I like it.”
The ‘Good Luck, Babe!’ pop star insisted it’s “weird” for fans to assume they “know a person” simply because they consume their art.
She continued: “I don’t want whatever the f*** you think you’re supposed to be entitled to whenever you see a celebrity.
“I don’t give a f*** if you think it’s selfish for me to say no for a photo or for your time, or for a hug.
“It’s weird how people think that you know a person just because you see them online and you listen to the art they make. That’s f****** weird. I’m allowed to say no to creepy behaviour.”

Halle Berry is ‘standing up for all women’ by talking about aging and health issues

OHMYGOSSIP — Halle Berry wants to “stand up for all women” by talking about health and aging.
The 58-year-old actress has explained her decision to be open about certain issues, and to make sure women’s health is put to the “forefront”.
She told Extra: “I’m standing up for myself because I need answers, right? And so when I stand up for myself, I stand up for all women.
“And women’s health, especially when we get down, you know, the path of life over 40, there’s been so much injustice done to us, so much research, so much information not done, and it’s time that our health is put, you know, on the forefront.
“And we have to demand that.”
She insisted people should “look forward” to growing older, and realising it’s not something to be afraid of.
She added: “We have to look forward to this time of life as a woman, and I want young women like you to know you just get better.
“It’s is nothing to fear. You don’t have to resist it. Aging is a beautiful thing of life.”
The ‘Catwoman’ actress recently revealed she feels “happier and stronger” than ever as she heads for 60.
She told America’s Marie Claire: “Age is just a number that they stick on us at birth. I feel like I’m now at the pinnacle.”
Halle added her health regime includes a “cocktail of vitamins and supplements”, along with taking progesterone, testosterone and estriol.
She also has temperature therapy, using hot and cold treatments to reduce inflammation.
Halle also tackled ageism in Hollywood as part of her magazine chat, saying:
“As women, we get defined by [age] way more than men do and sometimes it can debilitate us. It can trick us into thinking what we’re supposed to do.
“We have to kick that in the face and say, ’No, I’m going to do what I can do as long as I feel good doing it!’ And that will be whatever I want it to be. I get to define that.”

Adam Brody and wife Leighton Meester manage each other’s careers

OHMYGOSSIP — Adam Brody and wife Leighton Meester are “each other’s managers”.
The 44-year-old actor – who shot to fame as Seth Cohen on ‘The O.C.’ – says his spouse is “charmingly aloof” to the business side of acting so he advises her on what job offers to take and vice-versa.
He told Dax Shepard’s ‘Armchair Expert’ podcast: “Everything is run through each other.
“We are each other’s managers, and we also have the same two agents… We are in each other’s s*** in that way, and we even did a movie together a couple of years ago.”
The pair – who met on the set of the 2011 rom-com ‘The Oranges’ and got married in 2014 – have starred alongside each other a handful of times, including the 2023 thriller ‘River Wild’, 2014 rom-com ‘Life Partners’ and sitcom ‘Single Parents’.
Adam explained that the 38-year-old actress – with whom he shares two children – is very much all about the “art” and hailed her a “poet” for the “depth” she brings to the roles she takes on.
He went on: “She’s charmingly aloof to the business. She will literally not know Seth Rogen’s name, you know what I mean? … It’s f****** great, because it doesn’t diminish her art.
“That’s not where she’s focusing, and so she has that outsider quality, and she can come in, but she’s such an artist.
“She’s a poet, she has a depth and a read on material that is always illuminating and has a great radar.
“And so she can still get at the heart of something, a script, no problem, but it’s for me to look at the cover letter and go, ‘You’re doing this or not.’”
Leighton – who is best-known for her role as Blair Waldorf on ‘Gossip Girl’ – judges a project by its script and not if it has big stars attached to it, but Adam will always encourage her to take a part with notable names.
He added: “Before we even have read it, I’m like, ‘Oh, these names, these are good names. You probably want to be involved.
“‘I haven’t heard of these names. Sounds sketchy. Give it a read. I’m the biz guy.’ But she knows from an intelligent, intuitive way what’s true and what’s lyrical and what’s bull****.”

Former Simple Minds drummer Kenny Hyslop dies aged 73

OHMYGOSSIP — Former Simple Minds drummer Kenny Hyslop has died at the age of 73.
The musician’s passing was announced by Ultravox singer Midge Ure, 70, on his social media accounts, with the ‘Vienna’ hitmaker paying tribute to his last friend and former bandmate.
The pair were in new wave band Salvation together which later became Slik, before Kenny joined Simple Minds in 1981 for a year’s tenure behind the kit.
On Instagram, Midge said: “Just about to board the British Airways flight from JFK and heard my old friend/Slik/Simple Minds drummer Kenny Hyslop has passed way. He lived a lively life! Huge condolences to his friends and family. He was much loved.
“Kenny was the ‘Chris’ of Slik. We were joined at the hip in those very early years. Instantly bonding over our mutual love of ‘button down pocket’ cowboy shirts! It’s the small thing which enables great friendships to grow…”
In response to the news, multiple fans have paid tribute Kenny and paid their respects to the late musician.
One fan commented on Midge’s post: “I’m deeply saddened to hear news of Kenny’s death. He was a great drummer, huge talent and such a lovely person. Well respected by many and will be sadly missed.”
Another commented: “Dear Midge, my thoughts are with you and Kenny’s family and friends. May Kenny rest in peace and may his memory be a blessing.”
Kenny joined Simple Minds – fronted by Jim Kerr – after original drummer Brian McGee quit in 1981 after being frustrated during the recording sessions for what became the band’s fourth LP, double album ‘Sons and Fascination/Sister Feelings Call’.
He performed with the band on the first leg of the ‘Sons and Fascination Tour’ and played on the studio recording of the song ‘Promised You a Miracle’, which became a single.
However, he left in early 1982 due to artistic differences with the rest of the band and was replaced for the second leg of the ‘Sons and Fascination Tour’ by former Café Jacques drummer Mike Ogletree,
The musician’s cause of death is not yet known but it has been reported that he had been ill for some time.
Kenny was born in Helensburgh, Scotland, in 1951 and spent his life in the music industry in the UK and Canada.

Charlie Hunnam cast in Ryan Murphy’s Monster

OHMYGOSSIP — Charlie Hunnam is set to star in Ryan Murphy’s true crime anthology series ‘Monster’.
The 44-year-old actor will play serial killer Ed Gein – who is also known as the Butcher of Plainfield – in season three of the Netflix show.
Ryan, 58 – who is the series co-creator – confirmed the news during a promotional event in Los Angeles for the second season of ‘Monster’.
Season one of the show centred on the notorious serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer, while the second season of the anthology series focused on the story of the Menendez brothers and the murder of their parents.
The third season – which is set to begin production next month – will feature Charlie as the notorious murderer, who dug up graves from a cemetery near his home and created household items and clothing from the human remains.
Gein’s story has already inspired various well-known film characters, including Norman Bates in ‘Psycho’ and Buffalo Bill in ‘Silence of the Lambs’.
Charlie previously starred as Jax Teller in the crime-drama series ‘Sons of Anarchy’ between 2008 and 2014.
And the actor later acknowledged that the show changed the course of his life and his career.
He told PEOPLE in 2020: “Frankly, it gave me a career. And it gave me the ability to have confidence that I was going to be able to make [acting] work as a lifelong career.”
What’s more, Charlie believes that the hit TV show helped him to develop his acting skills.
He said: “I think I went into ‘Sons of Anarchy’ being a pretty unaccomplished actor in terms of my skill set. I wasn’t one of these people that were born enormously and innately talented. I had to really cultivate a skill set.
“And where I cultivated a lot of that skill set was going to work and shooting ten pages a day on ‘Sons of Anarchy’ for seven years. I feel like that was my college days.
“I went in knowing very little about the process of acting and came out knowing a little bit more.”

David Beckham: Making my documentary was uncomfortable

OHMYGOSSIP — David Beckham found making his documentary series to be an “uncomfortable” experience.
The 49-year-old former soccer star released a Netflix docu-series called ‘Beckham’ in October 2023 – but David has now acknowledged that he found it tough to discuss things he’d “never spoken about before”.
During an appearance at the Royal Television Society’s annual conference, David explained: “It was really difficult.
“It took me a long time to come to terms with the fact that I was going to make it … when I retired, I wasn’t ready to talk about my career and talk about what had happened over that time.”
David and his wife Victoria both felt “nervous” about speaking so candidly about their lives and their careers on the documentary.
The former Real Madrid and Manchester United star said: “As much as people think they know everything about us, [they] don’t really. We don’t really let kind of those doors open to our house … I’m not going to lie, I hated probably almost every moment…
“I wouldn’t say I hated it. I would just say it was very difficult…
“I’ll go back and say it wasn’t hate, but it was really difficult because there were moments when I was talking about things that I’d never spoken about before.”
David actually made a conscious effort to avoid watching the footage until the documentary was properly edited.
The sports icon felt it was important that the director had creative control over the project.
He said: “I didn’t go into the edit. I didn’t see any cuts. I saw the odd clip, but I didn’t see anything. And I just let Fisher [Stevens, the director] have that control.”

Combs – who is one of the most prominent figures in hip-hop music – is facing accusations of racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion, and transportation to engage in prostitution.
The indictment reads: “For decades, SEAN COMBS, a/k/a ‘Puff Daddy,’ a/k/a ‘P Diddy,’ a/k/a ‘Diddy,’ a/k/a ‘PD,’ a/k/a ‘Love,’ the defendant, abused, threatened, and coerced women and others around him to fulfill his sexual desires, protect his reputation, and conceal his conduct (sic)”
According to the indictment, Combs’ alleged crimes “relied on employees, resources, and influence of the multi-faceted business empire that he led and controlled – creating a criminal enterprise whose members and associates engaged in, and attempted to engage in, among other crimes, sex trafficking, forced labor, kidnapping, arson, bribery, and obstruction of justice (sic)”
Damian Williams, the US attorney for the southern district of New York, said during a press conference that Combs maintained control over his alleged victims by “giving them drugs, by giving and threatening to take away financial support or housing, by promising them career opportunities, by monitoring their whereabouts, and even by dictating their physical appearance”.
He later added: “The indictment alleges that the victims did not believe they could refuse Combs without risking their security or facing more abuse.”
In March, investigators raided Combs’ homes in Miami and Los Angeles. It’s since been confirmed that the investigators seized drugs and guns, as well as more than 1,000 bottles of baby oil.
The investigation was launched after the singer Cassie – Comb’s ex-girlfriend – reached a settlement with the rapper, whom she previously accused him of sexual abuse.
