OHMYGOSSIP — Derek Hough thinks his wife Hayley is a medical “miracle”.
The 39-year-old TV star has heaped praise on Hayley, after she recovered from a cranial hematoma at the end of 2023.
Derek – who married Hayley last year – told E! News: “She’s a miracle. She really is and I don’t say that lightly.”
The professional dancer and Hayley would both love to have children one day.
He said: “We definitely want to have a family eventually.
“We’ll see what’s in the cards, what’s on the horizon. Little dancing children running around.”
The loved-up couple celebrated their first wedding anniversary in August, and they found a special way of enjoying the landmark.
Derek shared: “We actually read each other our vows again where we got married on this cliffside in Carmel overlooking the ocean. And it was really emotional because we were reading the vows and thinking like, ‘Wow, we really put these to the test.'”
Derek is set to perform alongside his wife on his ‘Dance for the Holidays’ tour.
And the ballroom dancer has admitted that he can’t wait to perform with his wife once again.
He explained: “To perform with her during the season of miracles, it’s special.
“We’re excited to go on tour and to share the joy and the love and just the spirit of the holidays with everybody.”
Hayley required emergency surgery to treat a cranial haematoma in December 2023, after falling ill during the couple’s ‘Symphony of Dance’ show.
And earlier this year, Derek hailed her recovery as “miraculous”.
He said on ‘The Jennifer Hudson Show’: “She is doing amazing. She is an absolute miracle, miraculous.
“It’s been a rollercoaster. It’s been wild but I just have to say again, thank you to everyone who has been so supportive and so loving. It really truly mean the world to us, it really does.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Dame Emma Thompson has always been “protective” of Kate Winslet.
The 65-year-old actress starred alongside Kate, 48, in a 1995 adaptation for ‘Sense and Sensibility’, and Kate has always paid close attention to the advice of her former co-star.
Speaking at the 92NY Center for Culture and Arts in New York City, Kate shared: “[Emma] has a groundedness and a clarity of perception about the industry as a whole.
“She was quite sort of protective of me.”
Emma actually expressed her concern for Kate after she starred in ‘Titanic’, a role that changed her life.
Kate recalled: “I think she was actually just [a] bit worried like – you know, not, ‘is Kate gonna go off the rails?’ ’cause clearly that wasn’t in my personality – but just that it [can] be very overwhelming and what was I gonna do?
“She did say to me … just remember, it’s equally as important not to work as it’s to work. And I have never forgotten that.
“I knew that I didn’t want this to run out. I wanted to always be doing this job. And I thought, God, if I do it, then maybe people would get sick of me and argue, ‘Well, not her anymore, and let’s move on to somebody else.'”
Kate has enjoyed a huge amount of success during the course of her career. But the award-winning actress still follows Emma’s advice.

OHMYGOSSIP — Ryan Murphy has been “moved” by Travis Kelce’s ambition.
The 34-year-old sports star appears in Ryan’s horror series ‘Grotesquerie’, and the acclaimed producer has now admitted to being wowed by Travis’ mindset.
Ryan, 58, told ‘Entertainment Tonight’: “I was just moved by him and his ambition and he wanted to try it and he’s a guy who likes to do new things.”
Ryan didn’t really know Travis before casting him in the series. However, he didn’t have any hesitations about working with the Super Bowl-winning sports star.
Ryan shared: “It was very unexpected.
“I did not know Travis, and I thought we were just having a general meeting.”
Ryan ultimately wrote a part specifically for Travis and he loved working with the sports star.

OHMYGOSSIP — Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs is facing new sexual assault allegations.
The 54-year-old rap star – who is currently awaiting trial on federal sex crime charges – and his former bodyguard, Joseph Sherman, have been accused of raping Thalia Graves at the Bad Boy Records studio in New York City in the summer of 2001.
During a press conference about the new lawsuit on Tuesday (24.09.24), Graves explained that the alleged assault left her feeling “worthless and isolated”.
Graves claimed that she’s suffered PTSD, flashbacks, nightmares and thoughts of suicide over the last 23 years.
She added: “It’s a pain that reaches into your very core.”
Combs is currently in jail in New York awaiting trial, and Graves observed that his situation has provided a “temporary feeling of relief”.
She said: “I’m glad Diddy is locked up but that’s a temporary feeling of relief.”
Combs’ legal team has not yet responded to the latest allegations.
However, Combs pleaded not guilty to allegations of sex trafficking earlier this month.
The rap star appeared at a court in Manhattan after being charged with racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion, and transportation to engage in prostitution.
Asked during a court hearing how he pleaded to the charges, Combs replied: “Not guilty.”
The rapper’s lawyers subsequently requested that Combs be freed on bond, pending trial, after paying a sum of $50 million.
However, following a a lengthy debate between legal teams on whether Combs represents a flight risk, Magistrate Judge Robyn Tarnofsky announced that the rap star will remain in detention until his sex trafficking trial begins.
Marc Agnifilo – Combs’ lawyer – said later that the music star is determined to “establish his innocence”.
Agnifilo told reporters outside the court: “He’s going to fight this. He’s innocent. He came to New York to establish his innocence.
“We believe in him wholeheartedly. He didn’t do these things. There’s no coercion and no crime.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Mary J Blige suffered bigotry even after her rise to stardom.
The 53-year-old singer released her hit debut album, ‘What’s the 411?’, back in 1992, but Mary and her stylist Misa Hylton were both still encountering prejudice during their shopping trips in the early 90s.
In the new docuseries ‘In Vogue: The 90s’, Misa shared: “Mary J Blige is the first artist I ever styled.
“When we met, we automatically got each other. We understood each other. We loved the same fashion. We loved hip hop. We loved style.
“So at this time, the early ’90s, we were making money, and we were able to shop and able to buy things that are more expensive and more luxury.”
Mary’ debut album was a critical and commercial success, and the chart-topping star recalled “blowing our credit cards to smithereens” at the time.
She said: “I’ve been in a lot of stores with Misa. We were shopping so much because we never had a lot. Once we were able to shop and get the things we wanted, we were blowing our credit cards to smithereens.”
Despite this, Mary and Misa still struggled to find “respect” in some quarters.
The stylist explained: “We went to a boutique and we were shopping. When it’s time to pay, the sales associate keeps telling us. ‘The card’s declining.’ They keep trying.
“We call the credit card company. The card’s not declining. It’s actually not even being rung. Like, ‘Oh, okay. You don’t want us to buy these items.’ It’s because we were young and we were black, and they could not figure out how we were spending this much money.
“They didn’t even realise who Mary J. Blige was yet, and so you see how luxury fashion brands didn’t really value us or didn’t respect us. They didn’t see their brands on us.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Shailene Woodley “couldn’t walk for longer than five minutes at a time” while shooting the ‘Divergent’ movies.
The 32-year-old actress played Beatrice Prior in the sci-fi film trilogy between 2014 and 2016 – but Shailene has now admitted to battling some debilitating physical symptoms on set.
The Hollywood star said on the ‘She MD’ podcast: “I haven’t spoken about what exactly it was because that feels like a personal thing that I don’t need to disclose.
“I was in a position in my early 20s, it got to the point where I was losing my hearing, I couldn’t walk for long periods of time without having to lay down for hours and hours and sleep. Everything I ate hurt my stomach.”
Shailene recalled going on a “long journey” with her health troubles, as she searched for a possible solution.
She said: “It was this conflation of issues and diagnoses and different doctors telling me different things.
“I come from a very holistic background and studied herbalism so I was really keen on, ‘Alright I’m gonna work with real MDs and I’m gonna work with independent healers.’ And I was just trying to search for some sense of comfort in my own skin. It was a long journey.”
Shailene actually took a decade to return to her old self. However, the physical issues ultimately took a toll on her mental health, too.
The actress explained: “Throughout that decade a lot of other things came from feeling so much discomfort physically, which was ‘My gosh, if everything I’m eating hurts my stomach, I’m now suddenly afraid of food.’ And then going into the mental f****** that can happen with that – of body dysmorphia and confusion about identity and feeling safe in my own capsule.”

The 32-year-old actress believes that her debilitating health journey has actually helped her to grow on a personal level.
The movie star – who previously confessed to being “very sick” while filming the ‘Divergent’ film franchise – said on the ‘She MD’ podcast: “It forced me to take a really deep look and become introspective.
“That was the path for me, alongside the physical healing – was acknowledging the mental side of the healing process for myself. Which involved looking at real traumas and real PTSD that I had experienced at various times in my life – without going into detail about what they were – they definitely took a toll on my body.”
Shailene insisted that she’s now doing much better, describing herself as “very healthy”.
She said: “My hormones are so balanced. Everything is pumping the way that it should. I am very healthy. I’m so happy to be able to say that.”
Shailene previously confessed that her health issues were “pretty debilitating” – although she refused to specify the issue she was dealing with.
The actress also revealed that the situation harmed her film career, as she forced to reject a series of opportunities while she focused on her recovery.
She told The Hollywood Reporter: “I said no to a lot of projects, not because I wanted to but because I physically couldn’t participate in them.
“And I definitely suffered a lot more than I had to because I didn’t take care of myself. The self-inflicted pressure of not wanting to be helped or taken care of created more physical unrest throughout those years.”

The 77-year-old singer – who ended his Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour in July 2023 – has revealed that he still intends to perform live, even though he doesn’t know “what [it] will entail”.
In an excerpt from ‘Farewell Yellow Brick Road: Memories Of My Life on Tour’, Elton shares: “I’ve been clear with my fans that while the Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour is the culmination of my touring career, I still plan to perform live.
“What this will entail I don’t know yet.”
Elton performed at the legendary Live Aid benefit concert at London’s Wembley Stadium in 1985.
The chart-topping star wasn’t a huge fan of the show itself, but Elton admitted to having “had a ball” backstage.
He shared: “I hated the entire show except for Queen. Backstage, however, I had a ball. I decorated my own little area and set up a barbecue.
“I made sure there were seats for everyone so that other people who were playing could come and sit down and chat.”
Elton also recalled being mocked by Queen star Freddie Mercury for his on-stage attire.

The 78-year-old singer and Miley, 31, are seventh cousins, once removed, according to Ancestry.
After being informed of the news, Dolly told ‘Access Hollywood’: “Is that true? That’s amazing!”
Dolly is Miley’s godmother and the music icon admitted that they’re already “so close”.

OHMYGOSSIP — Artem Chigvintsev will not be charged following his recent arrest for domestic violence.
The 42-year-old dancer was arrested by the Napa County Sheriff’s Office on suspicion of felony corporal injury to spouse or cohabitant last month but now the local district attorney has confirmed they won’t be pursuing a case against the ‘Dancing With the Stars’ professional – whose wife Nikki Garcia filed for divorce two weeks after the incident – due to a lack of evidence.
A statement from the Napa County District Attorney’s office explained the decision was made “after a thorough review of the criminal investigation and careful evaluation of the evidence presented to the DA’s Office”.
District Attorney Allison Haley added in a statement: “While we take every arrest seriously and stand firmly against domestic violence, we have an ethical obligation to only file charges when supported by the evidence.
“We are required to prove any and every criminal charge ‘beyond a reasonable doubt’ which is the highest standard in the American criminal justice system. If the available evidence doesn’t rise to this level of proof, then we cannot ethically file charges.”
However, although no charges are being filed against Artem – who has four-year-old son Mateo with Nikki – the case could be revisited by the DA’s office “if it learns of other incidents, or otherwise learns of facts or evidence not previously known.”
TMZ previously obtained audio of a 911 call that led to Artem being arrested.
The clip featured a dispatcher saying the dancer had alleged 40-year-old Nikki had thrown her shoes at him.
The operator could be heard saying Artem’s call “initially came in as requesting medical, but now he is stating he got into an argument with his wife and his wife threw shoes at RP [reporting party]. There is a child on scene. Medical en route. There’s an active 415 [disturbing the peace] in the background responsible.”
But the dancer subsequently stated he no longer needed medical assistance, with the dispatcher confirming: “RP is stating no medical is needed now.”
Artem was booked on a charge of corporal injury to a spouse and released later in the day on $25,000 bond.
The celebrity duo met on ‘Dancing With the Stars’ back in 2017, but they didn’t start dating until the following year, after Nikki split from John Cena.
They got engaged in January 2020 and married in Paris in August 2022.
Nikki filed for divorce two weeks after Artem’s arrest, citing irreconcilable differences.

The 42-year-old royal met Catherine in the days that she was known as Kate Middleton during their time at university and the pair tied the knot in 2011 and James recalled how the prince helped them all through the “pressure” of adjusting to global notoriety amid his struggles with mental health.
He told The Sunday Times: “William was a fantastic support for us as a family. He did everything he could to protect us from the intense interest, not just in Catherine, but also her immediate family. But at that time I was already in a vulnerable state of mind and it was an added pressure.”
William and Catherine went on to have Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, nine, and Prince Louis, six, together, whilst James is now married to Alizée Thevenet and has son Inigo, 11 months, with her.
