OHMYGOSSIP — Boris Becker was moved to tears at his wedding to Lilian de Carvalho.
The former tennis player tied the knot for the third time in a three-day celebration in Portofino earlier this month and he was particularly overwhelmed by the speeches made by his eldest sons Noah, 30, and Elias, 25, in their joint role as Best Man.
He told Britain’s HELLO! magazine: “It was authentic, it was real and it was a magical weekend I will never forget. Everybody cried, including me.”
Of his sons’ speeches, he added: I was very moved by the speeches of various people.
“There are pictures of my two boys speaking about us as a new family and that was very, very moving – everybody cried. “I don’t think there was a dry eye in the house throughout the afternoon and evening.
“It was very emotional, very romantic, and very authentic.”
Boris and Lilian, 33, have been together since 2019 but the 56-year-old sporting legend explained their love was really cemented when she stayed by his side amid his legal troubles, which saw him spend eight months in prison after he was found guilty in 2022 of hiding assets and loans during bankruptcy proceedings.
He said: “As they say in wedding ceremonies, in good and in bad days, you have to find a way to stick together. We certainly had very difficult days, because my personal situation was very challenging, but that’s really when I got to know my true friends and my partner for life.
“Sometimes you need to be tested to find out who your true friends are, or your partner, and it happened for me. And I realised who was with me and who was not with me. Lilian was number one.”
And while married life feels “wonderful” for the couple, Boris insisted little has changed.
He said: We have been living together like a married couple for a number of years, so it doesn’t feel any different to last week or last year.
“Certainly, we have a glow and we feel strongly connected and have rings on our fingers now to prove the point.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Johnny Depp identifies with artist Modigliani’s rebellious streak.
The ‘Edward Scissorhands’ actor, 61, spoke of his love of the painter as he has just finished directing the film ‘Modi, Three Days on the Wing of Madness’ starring Riccardo Scamarcio, 44, as 20th century artist Amedeo Modigliani.
Johnny told Variety about the movie, which will make its world premiere at the San Sebastian Film Festival in Spain on Tuesday (24.09.24): “Modigliani was, of course, one of the great contemporary artists of all time. But he also represented an era and point of view where new possibilities still existed. His vision fascinates me.
“He doggedly walked to the beat of his own drum, and possessed a natural allergy for convention during a time where the norm was being openly challenged across every medium.
“It would be foolish not to admit that everything Modigliani ever stood for, and continues to stand for, resonates deeply within me.
“I feel immensely fortunate to be given the opportunity to, along with a sublime cast and crew, capture his world in three days.”
‘Modi’ also features actor Al Pacino, who produced the movie, as well as Stephen Graham, Antonia Desplat, Bruno Gouery and Luisa Ranieri.
Variety said Al, 84, first spoke with Johnny about making a film about Modigliani while they were shooting their 1997 gangster movie ‘Donnie Brasco’.
Stephen Deuters, CEO of Johnny’s IN.2 production company, said about the actor taking on ‘Modi’ after being asked to by Al: “Johnny was quite surprised, humbled and a bit blown away that Al was asking him to direct this.
“He wasn’t expecting anyone to ask him to direct a film at that particular moment.
“We had a lot going on at the time – this was even before Covid – and we just thought it would be a really positive thing for us to do, a slightly unexpected change of direction and something that he could really throw himself into…. I think Johnny really didn’t believe it was even happening until he landed (on the set.)”

OHMYGOSSIP — Whoopi Goldberg has called for Janet Jackson to be given “a little grace”.
‘The View’ presenter, 68, launched a fierce defence of the musician as she continues to face backlash over an interview she gave The Guardian in which she falsely claimed 59-year-old US Vice-President Kamala Harris wasn’t black – in an echo of a right-wing conspiracy theory.
Whoopi spoke up after ‘The View’ panellist as Ana Navarro, 52, accused Janet of “spreading misinformation”.
When Ana sneered Janet “has a phone” to check her facts before speaking, Whoopi hit out: “Hold on, hold on, yeah she’s got a phone – Janet Jackson is not a political animal.”
In reference to the recent death of her brother Tito Jackson aged 70 on 15 September, Whoopi added: “She’s a musician, her life is doing this, and she’s mourning her brother.
“Sometimes I’ve said stuff and I was wrong, but people want you to say something right away.
“But when people are coming at you saying, ‘Hey, you’re dumb, you don’t know…’ you know, you don’t want to answer people and it is a pain in the butt, I have to tell you.
“Sometimes people get it wrong, and they’re wrong. They made a mistake, they were wrong, it happens (and) anybody who says it doesn’t happen to every one of us, multiracial or not, we all do it.
“So, a little grace for the girl, a little grace for the girl, alright?”
It was reported on Sunday (22.09.24) Janet had apologised for her remarks about Kamala via a statement released on her behalf.
But on Monday (23.09.24) Janet’s management said that an unauthorized party had spoken on the singer’s behalf, and told Variety that the widely-released statement came from someone who is not a manager for the singer.

OHMYGOSSIP — Prince Harry wants the phrase “mental health” replaced with “mental fitness”.
The Duke of Sussex, 40, who has spent years as an advocate for mental health awareness, made the remark as he joined Tessy Ojo, 53, CEO of The Diana Award, on stage at the Sheraton Hotel, Manhattan, for a panel discussion.
Tessy kicked off the event by describing Harry as “a passionate advocate for mental health” and added: “He actually said to me, as we came in, that actually, we should no longer talk about mental health, we should talk about mental fitness.
“His dedication to this cause strengthens our mission.”
Harry added mental health was a “very, very important subject that affects every single one of us from top to bottom, from the youngest to the oldest”.
The Duke – who has son Archie, five, and daughter Lilibet, three, with hiw wife Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, also paid tribute to the way young winners of the Diana Award were sparking change in society.
He added to the crowd about how politicians needed to step in to stop the mental health crisis: “Surely one of the solutions here is for governments to implement, or at least find people-young people like yourselves-and bring them into decision making, policy-making situations, before the problems exist.
“We’re very good at creating problems for ourselves to try and solve, but surely by bringing young people in at the early stages… surely that is where the difference is going to be made.
“Why is that not happening?”
He added in reference to his late mother Princess Diana, who was killed aged 36 in 1997 in a Paris car smash: “I know that my mum would be incredibly proud of you guys… the way that you do it, your activism, your compassion, those two things are so true to how my mum led her life and what she believed in. And the way that you do it is incredible, so thank you.
“Every single one of us needs courage in order to really move the dial and create positive change in today’s world, probably more so now than ever.
“Now we need to listen, constantly listen, and then act on the advice and the vision that you have because otherwise it’s your future that’s being stolen from you and that is unacceptable.”
Harry and his older brother Prince William, 42, have spent years supporting the Diana Award, which was set up in their mother’s memory to reflect her belief young people had the power to change the world.

OHMYGOSSIP — Trina McGee experienced a miscarriage three months after she announced she was pregnant at the age of 54.
The ‘Boy Meets World’ actress, now 55, is best known for playing Angela Moore in the ABC sitcom, and has now revealed she had her pregnancy loss after she told fans she was expecting her fourth child in June – which would have been her first with her husband Marcello Thedford.
Trina said on ‘The Tamron Hall Show’: “I did lose the baby. It wasn’t expected, it was closer to the end of the first trimester.
“We don’t have any real reasons why. I was still so grateful to have the experience of being able to conceive at this age and this time.”
Trina admitted she was hit by a “lot” of depression after her miscarriage.
She said: “You know, it’s just kind of hard to get out of bed.
“There’s so many things that come when you really want a family, and you want your family to be complete. ”
“It was very hard to face the fact that it’s not going to happen at this point in the junction.”
The actress also said she is not sure if she wants to try for another baby after the trauma, adding: “Part of me doesn’t ever want to go through this again. The conclusion I came to is, ‘We’ll just keep loving each other, if something happens that way, fine, but I don’t want to put another anxiety on myself.’ “Sometimes it really is better to let go and let God.”
Trina has three adult children – Ramia, 31, Langston, 29, and 25-year-old Ezra – with her first husband, actor Courtland Davis.
She told People after announcing she was pregnant for the fourth time the conception had been “completely natural”.
Trina went on: “I just kept saying, ‘Is this really happening?’ I still do that: ‘Is this really happening?’
“But it is. Then, I’ll get sick, or I’ll do something weird (and) it has to do with pregnancy.
“And I’m like, ‘This is really happening.’ And I’m remembering all the other times when I was pregnant, you know, 25 years ago, and I’m like, ‘Wow, this is it. This is really happening. It’s wonderful. It’s great.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Samuel L Jackson has indulged in “crazy” antics during his marriage.
The ‘Pulp Fiction’ actor, 75, married his partner LaTanya Richardson Jackson 44 years ago in April after they first met at college and they have one daughter, Zoe, 42.
He opened up about the secret to their long-lasting relationship in an interview with AARP The Magazine, and explained they have had to overcome challenges including “s***” he has done he thinks was “crazy”.
Samuel added when asked how he keeps his marriage alive: “A lot of tolerance, because everybody’s got flaws, and not giving up when it would be easy to give up.
“I’ve done s*** in my marriage that’s crazy, you know? She has, too, in her head, or whatever in reality, but you got to go, ‘Is that a breakup offense? Or is it just that we need to spend a little time together and get some understanding about it?’”
Samuel added it was also vital to “ignore” irritating aspects to a partner, saying: “Or there are certain things that you learn to ignore about people – that she’s learned to ignore about me.”
He admitted his work ethic has caused problems in his marriage, saying: “I’m going to go to work all the time until, you know, it’s time.”
Samuel and his wife said in an interview with People in 2022 they had made a pact never to split no matter how heavy the challenges in their marriage got.
LaTanya said: “In the beginning, we always said the most revolutionary thing that black people could do was stay together, raise their children with the nucleus of having a father and a mother, since everybody likes to pretend that that’s not the dynamic of the African American family.
“That it’s just children out here being raised by women, which we know is false.
“In order to change that narrative, we made a decision to say, ‘We are going to stay together no matter what. We’ll figure it out.’”

OHMYGOSSIP — Carmen Electra was “constantly” pushed to do her own stunt work on ‘Baywatch’.
The 52-year-old actress, born Tara Leigh Patrick, kicked off her career with glamour modelling in 1996, including appearances in Playboy magazine, before she landed her breakthrough role as Lani McKenzie on the lifeguard show.
She has now told People on the 35th anniversary of the hit series about how its producers and directors wanted her and other cast members to push themselves to their limits when she signed up for its eighth season: “Our producer and directors wanted us to do as much of our own stunts as we possibly could.
“They were constantly pushing for that because I think that was something people complained about in the past.
“So, when our new cast came about, we were a part of the rookie school class that has to learn everything from the beginning.
“So we were running and running and running. And we had to do all the jumping over water, diving into it, the swims, everything it took to be able to see if you could be a lifeguard.
“And my character was supposed to be that lifeguard, so I remember when we would have scenes running, sometimes I had these guys, obviously these strong guys, that are passing me up.”
Carmen added when she fell behind in the action scenes the show’s director would have to find ways to make it appear like her character was keeping up. She said: “They would stop a little bit, move me up, start again. Or say, ‘Hey guys, run a little bit slower.’
“And I was running as fast as I possibly could. And the heat! The sun would be so hot it burns your feet, but you got to deal with it.”
Carmen told earlier this month she was once advised to lose weight while starring as Lani.
She added to Extra: “I never had a weigh-in, but I was told sometimes that I was too heavy, and I’ve looked back now, and I don’t think I was.
“(Producers would) come up to you and just say, ‘You need to lose some pounds.’”

The rapper, 52, has become known for his flamboyant fashion sense with the rapper working with his stylist and designer Talia Coles for years to create his distinct – and usually extremely baggy – looks.
He told People about how he would never be persuaded to experiment with how skinny jeans looked on him: “I’m skinny, so it’s going to be a problem getting in and out of these mother******, so please don’t.
“There’s a certain limit to the skinny, you know what I’m saying?
“We can’t do that, because I can’t have nobody helping me take my pants off like this, ‘Pull it off for me.’

The ‘Do the Right Thing’ actor, 75, has previously confessed to abusing cocaine and booze as he was shooting films with his long-time director collaborator Spike Lee, 67, and has now opened up about how he got clean thanks to his partner LaTanya Richardson Jackson and a close pal finding him unconscious after a drink and drugs binge.
He told AARP The Magazine: “My wife and daughter found me lying on the floor. My best friend from high school was a drug counsellor and my wife called him, and I was in rehab the next day.
“I didn’t go kicking and screaming because I was tired.”

She said on Sherri Shepherd’s daytime show ‘Sherri’ about getting over her 2018 divorce from her 56-year-old record producer ex-husband Kendu Isaacs: “What I’ve learned is that forgiveness was for me. So excuse me when I say this, ‘The hell with them.’
“I don’t like that ugly, bitter feeling ’cause that’s not mine. That belongs to you. “You did what you did. But I have to move on and in order for me to feel good and to manifest all the good things in my life, I have to let go for me.

When Mary also said she is determined to “walk in that joy” Sherri, 57, asked her if she had a new man in her life.

OHMYGOSSIP — Carmen Electra “struggled” with her ‘Baywatch’ action scenes as she couldn’t work out how to hold her breath in water.
The 52-year-old actress, born Tara Leigh Patrick, kicked off her career with glamour modelling in 1996, including appearances in Playboy magazine, before she landed her breakthrough role as Lani McKenzie on the lifeguard show.
She has now told People in an interview to mark the 35th anniversary of the hit series one of the first things she was asked in her audition for the show was about her swimming abilities.
Carmen added: “I said, ‘Yes, of course I can.’ The thing is, I’m okay in a pool. I mean, I was a gymnast and trained in classical ballet most of my life, and I grew up swimming in friends’ pools and in the river and stuff, in the Ohio River, little swim parks.”
But she admitted when it came to actually shooting ‘Baywatch’ she started to battle with the reality of tough action scenes.
Carmen went on: “When we were rehearsing and we were really getting in the water, sometimes it was really hard.
“I would end up getting through things, but that always felt like such a great accomplishment.
“If I could dive off the speeding boat with the rescue cam, tandem dive with two other people right on time, to me that was a great accomplishment.
“Doing surfing scenes and tandem surfing, which was really scary.
“There were a lot of scenes I’d struggle with.
“I never could understand how you push the water out and still hold your breath.
“It was always a strange thing for me that I never really got.”
But she added completing rough scenes gave her a huge sense of achievement.
Carmen said: “When I would do a scene and it was completely successful, it felt like a huge accomplishment, and those times were really good.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs is said to be getting the same treatment as any other inmate as he awaits trial in one of America’s most notoriously tough prisons.
The scandal-hit rapper, 54, was arrested on the night of 16 September Homeland Security Investigations agents, a day before he was indicted on charges of sex trafficking, racketeering and transportation to engage in prostitution and was remanded to the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York, a day later after he pleaded not guilty and being denied bail twice.
A source has told People about his treatment being bars: “He is being treated like any other detainee awaiting trial.”
They added “as with all public figures in his position” he was “placed on suicide watch upon admittance to the facility as a precaution”.
The insider added: “He has three minor children, two of whom now have no living parent available with him incarcerated.
“Four of his seven children have neither parent available with him incarcerated. “Mr Combs has been able to speak briefly to family members and his children via phone.”
Combs’ legal representatives Marc Agnifilo and Teny R Geragos said in a bail proposal rejected by two Manhattan judges the Brooklyn prison is “not fit for pre-trial detention” and branded its regime “horrific”.
The rapper has been accused by prosecutors of arranging so-called “freak off” parties, which authorities say involved sex workers and women who were allegedly forced or coerced into participating.
Federal agents raided Combs’ homes in Miami and Los Angeles in March, and the charges on which he is awaiting trail come after the rapper was hit by a string of lawsuits filed in the last year related to allegations of sexual abuse.
Combs has pleaded not guilty to all the charges against him and is due back in court in early October.
His lawyers have told People he is “strong, healthy, and focused on his defense”.
They added: “He is committed to fighting this case and has full confidence in both his legal team and the truth.”

The 38-year-old singer got engaged to the businessman – who founded the Parker Foundation with Napster co-founder Sean Parker – in April after four years together, and it was her mother Cynthia Germanotta who played matchmaker.
Speaking to Access Hollywood, she recalled: “My mom, she said, ‘I just met your husband.’ And I was like, ‘I’m not ready to meet my husband!’ ”
However, the ‘Joker: Folie a Deux’ actress – who has previously been engaged to Cristian Carino and Taylor Kinney – eventually conceded and let Cynthia introduce her to Michael.
She said: “He was at a birthday party at Sean Parker’s house. I went to the party and I met him, and he was just the most amazing man I’d ever met.
“We talked for, like, three hours and then I couldn’t find him, but then he called me.”
While the ‘Bad Romance’ star admitted she doesn’t always listen to her mother, she’s glad she did on this occasion.

She told America’s Vogue magazine: “I kind of thought I was going to have to do this all by myself—forever. And that was really scary. Because it’s a big life.

They talked on the phone for weeks and then “just fell in love” on their first date before the COVID-19 pandemic hit.

Gaga said: “It was really kind of special. I’d been so focused on my career since I was a teenager. And the gift of that time was that I got to completely focus on my relationship.
“I met this totally supportive, loving human being who wanted to get to know me—outside of Lady Gaga…
“It was very painful to see how deeply [the pandemic] affected the world. Not only how sick people got, so many people died, but also so many people were alone.

The WWE Hall of Famer, 75, and his 64-year-old partner have “respectfully” called time on their relationship due to their work schedules after getting married in 2018.
In an emotional statement on Instagram, Ric wrote: “Wendy and I enjoyed 13 great years. As with every couple, we have experienced our ups and downs.
“I think it’s important for everyone to know right now that we have decided to part ways respectfully.”
The so-called Nature Boy – who is recognised by WWE as a 16-time world champion – thanked Wendy for supporting him over the years.
He continued: “I’ll never be able to thank her enough for standing by my side through my terrible health crisis in 2018. She never left my side! And for that I will always be grateful!

OHMYGOSSIP — Taylor Swift is “very supportive” of Travis Kelce’s acting debut.
The 34-year-old pop superstar has been dating footballer Travis, also 34, since July 2023 but after he made a sudden shift to appear in Ryan Murphy’s X series ‘Grotesquerie’ as an as-yet-unnamed character, the television executive has heaped praise on how his girlfriend has been there for him throughout the process.
Ryan told E! News: “The only thing that [Travis and I] talked about was that she’s very supportive of him, and if he has an interest, she wanted him to try it. “I was thrilled about that. I love her too!”
The ‘Glee’ creator is grateful that Travis was able to give up his limited time to appear in the series – which sees detective and a nun investigate a string of heinous crimes – and that he is a “star” no matter what.

OHMYGOSSIP — Victoria Monet has confirmed she split from partner John Gaines 10 months ago.
The 35-year-old Grammy winner has explained that she and the 33-year-old fitness trainer – with whom she has three-year-old daughter Hazel – chose to publicly address the end of their relationship in a joint statement to put to bed any hearsay regarding their breakup.
The lengthy social media post began: “With good intentions, we honestly have been avoiding a formal statement about something as natural and as personal as love.
“We originally preferred to keep this out of the public (as announcing this publicly is sure to make pain resurface) but it is becoming more and more difficult to suppress.
“Yes, we have seen all of the questions and extremely false accusations of our origin story and we have thought long and hard about whether we owed it to anyone to explain where we are as we heal, since we understand how social media can magnify the truth or run far with untruths.
“Ultimately we decided to be open and address it in hopes to put a period on the question marks for the sake of our healing process.”
The couple insist they split amicably and there was “no infidelity, toxic behaviour nor drama”, and their “number one priority” is their young daughter, who they are “committed” to co-parent.
They went on: “We spent the last 10 months trying to respectfully and privately navigate the fact that we are no longer in a relationship.
“Though we still completely adore and respect each other, we are not a couple anymore.
“There was no infidelity, toxic behaviour nor drama.
“We both just have some fundamental growing to do that would be best done apart so we can remain the best versions of ourselves for our daughter.
“It simply didn’t work out and that’s okay.
“We still think the world of each other and operate with love in every interaction for our family.
“We have an incredible daughter to raise for life and that is undoubtedly our number 1 priority forever.
“No relationship status can remove or replace that fact. We are committed to doing the inner work and trust that God will place us both where we belong in due time.”
The ‘On My Mama’ hitmaker and her ex concluded by thanking their supporters and asked for “peace and space” as they navigate the change.
