OHMYGOSSIP — Charity Dingle and her son Ryan Stocks are the new owners of Emmerdale’s The Woolpack pub.
The fictional boozer is undergoing a huge refurbishment following the Christmas Day blaze, and Emma Atkins – who plays Charity in the ITV soap – is “over the moon” about her character owning the pub alongside Ryan (James Moore).
She said: “It’s a great dynamic having mother and son save the pub to keep The Woolpack in the family.
“Also, knowing I’d be reunited with Chas again, I was over the moon. Getting back behind the bar will be so exciting. And knowing they’re going to put Charity and Chas together again, it’s just a dream come true.”
Emma admitted she relishes bar scenes in the Woolpack.
She said: “I cannot wait to get back behind the bar. I love the atmosphere. It’s always the central hub of the village where the audience witness all sorts of drama, revelation, gossip and conflict.
“It’s the best place for all those memorable one liners between the punters and bar staff.”
James is also delighted at the move as it has “cemented Ryan’s part in ‘Emmerdale’ history”.
He said: “I was excited to hear Ryan would be one of the new owners of the pub.
“It’s a big step for him as a character especially after losing his mother and cements his part in Emmerdale history.
“I think Ryan may want to modernise the Woolpack and create more of a youthful vibe to the pub. As we know he is a computer whizz and I expect he will have good ideas for promoting the pub on social media etc.
“The pub is undergoing a large refurbishment at the moment and I can’t wait to see the changes they make.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Former ‘Love Island’ stars Faye Winter and Teddy Soares shot a sensual shoot with Lovehoney ahead of Valentine’s Day, as she was pictured for the first time since having a mole removed.
The couple, who finished third in last year’s ITV2 dating show, posed together earlier this week at the home they moved into together in November.
Faye, a former lettings manager from Exeter, had a cancer scare last week when she had a mole surgically removed on doctor’s orders after it had grown since her time in the villa.
Writing on Instagram, Faye, 26, said this year would be the first time that she had ever celebrated Valentine’s “properly” with a boyfriend.
Teddy, 26, said on his Instagram Story that he was “feeling the pressure” ahead of Valentine’s.
He said: “I am all about experimental stuff – don’t be afraid to try it.”

Faye showed off her midriff in Lovehoney’s Sweet Love bra set – a polka dot design with matching eye mask for Valentine’s play – which she said was a great confidence booster.

She is pictured wearing Lovehoney’s Dark Orchid satin and lace chemise while embracing a topless Teddy in boxers.
Sexual wellness brand Lovehoney’s Valentine’s survey shows that 37 per cent of couples reckon the sex is more intense at Valentine’s because it is such a romantic day.
Lovehoney found that 41 per cent of couples like to “sexually impress” at Valentine’s and 53 per cent would be more adventurous this year to celebrate the pandemic coming to an end.
Annabelle Knight, Lovehoney sex and relationship expert, said: “Valentine’s will be the most passionate ever this year. We’ve all been through a really tough time over the last two years and record numbers of us will be using the big day to celebrate what is most important to us.”
Faye sparked fears for her health last week when she was pictured with surgical plasters around her belly button.
The reality star later explained on her YouTube how she was fast-tracked for surgery after one of her moles changed shape.
She said: “I am quite a moley person. I always have freckles and moles but one mole in particular has grown quite a bit since I went into the villa and it was in the sun for the whole summer.
“They have decided they are going to remove the mole, which is fine.
“The first doctor said they didn’t know and then another doctor came in and she didn’t like the look of it so she said, to be on the safe side, let’s get it taken out.”
She said undergoing surgery was like being on the Netflix show ‘Botched Up Bodies’, which tells the stories of people who have had cosmetic surgery.
Faye said her mole was still to be analysed but she was 99 per cent sure it was fine and urged everyone to get suspicious moles checked out.

OHMYGOSSIP — Matt Lucas was “forced” to take part in ‘The Great Celebrity Bake Off’ after a star contestant pulled out.
The 47-year-old comedian – who’s fronted the Channel 4 show since 2020 alongside Noel Fielding – swapped his presenting duties for a go at cooking after one of the celebs couldn’t make it.
After losing a coin toss with Noel, Matt had no choice but to participate.
He told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “I was forced to bake by my bosses at the last minute when one of the bakers became unavailable. I can’t tell you how happy I was that my humiliation was caught on camera.”
The ‘Little Britain’ star – who replaced Sandi Toksvig as host – admitted he previously once attempted to bake a cake, which was “inedible”.
He added: “I once tried to bake a cake, but already I started tampering with the recipe and the cake, I mean, talk about soggy bottom.
“This cake was just, if you had to give it a name, you’d call it wet egg cake.
“I mean, that’s all it was. It was inedible. I’m happy to eat the cakes, but I’m not a great baker.”
The five episodes, which will air this spring on Channel 4 as part of their annual charity fundraiser for Stand Up to Cancer, will feature a star-studded cast.
Celebrities taking part will include ‘Starry Eyed’ singer Ellie Goulding, comedian Ruby Wax, Olympian Sir Mo Farah, ‘Strictly’ judge Motsi Mabuse, broadcasters Annie Mac and Clara Amfo, and comedians Ed Gamble, Yung Filly and Mawaan Rizwan, among others.
The series will also see Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith reprise their roles as judges.

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Death in Paradise’ star Ralf Little has told how he was made an exception to a “strict” rule to allow him to star in the series.
The 41-year old actor – who plays DCI Neville Parker in the BBC show – said the programme has a rule in place for actors in that they are not allowed to appear as more than one character, but he is on his second character in the series after he first starred in ‘Death in Paradise’ in 2013 when he played Will Teague.
During an appearance on ITV breakfast show ‘Good Morning Britain’, he said: “I was actually in series two of ‘Death in Paradise’ as a guest, so I’m the only actor that’s been in it twice now.”
Co-host Ben Shephard was surprised Ralf was the only exception to the rule, despite producers avoiding doubling up of characters.
Ben asked: “They’re pretty strict about that aren’t they, as a rule?”
Ralf added: “Apparently so. I’d been in ‘Heartbeat’ about five times before I was 21! That was a whole different thing.
“So yeah, they really try not to double up, but they made the exception. Luckily I wasn’t a murderer or a victim in the first one, so I think I was able to get away with coming back again.”
Earlier this month, Ralf revealed he had raised more than £25,000 to help stray dogs in the Caribbean, where ‘Death in Paradise’ is filmed, after he set up a GoFundMe page following the death of his own pooch, Suzy.

OHMYGOSSIP — Dame Arlene Phillips wanted to be voted out first on ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’, because she felt “anxious” over upcoming work commitments.
The 78-year-old choreographer – who last year became the oldest ever contestant to take part in the ITV show, which was won by former ‘Emmerdale’ star Danny Miller – admitted that being eliminated first was exactly what she wanted because of her upcoming jobs, and she was keen to be reunited with her family.
She said: “I’d always wanted to be the first one out, partly because I had a lot of work waiting for me that I felt anxious about, but I also missed my family and needed to tell them how much I really loved them.
“It’s nice to go out of a show and not feel depressed.”
The former ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ judge went on to claim that while she is “scared of everything”, she found the courage to appear on the show after a young dancer she had been mentoring was diagnosed – and eventually succumbed to – cancer.
Speaking to the Metro newspaper, she added; “For five years, I had been mentoring a beautiful dancer called Lily Douglas, who I met when she was nine and won a dancing competition. At he end of a wonderful day, her mother told me that Lily had just been diagnosed with fourth stage Ewing sarcoma cancer.
“I kept in touch with the family and would see them every year, so we became very close. Sadly, Lily recently passed away at age 14 and she made me think about bravery in everything.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Rachel Stevens’ recent wrist injury “knocked her confidence” on ‘Dancing on Ice’.
The former S Club 7 singer was set to make her show debut on January 23rd, but she had to start the competition a week later instead after taking a nasty tumble on ice and fracturing her wrist.
When asked by Lorraine Kelly on her self-titled breakfast show ‘Lorraine’ if the pop star’s wrist injury “knocked her confidence a little bit”, the 43-year-old star replied: “It really did.
“But more than anything it was just being away from the show, feeling that disconnect from the show and just missing all that ice time.
“When I do something I want to really go for it and take it on and put the hours in, so for me that was the most frustrating thing.
“That chunk of time that I’ve missed, I missed learning the solid basics. Someone like me who needs a lot of preparation to feel safe and confident, that’s been one of the most challenging things. It’s like jumping in at the deep end.”
Rachel – who appeared in BBC One show ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ in 2008, where she finished runner up alongside professional Vincent Simone – said ‘Dancing on Ice’ was a whole new ball game compared to ‘Strictly’.
She added: “It’s similar in the structure of the show and having a partner who I adore, but trying to dance on ice adds a whole other level of intense.
“I am loving the experience. It’s one of the hardest things I’ve ever done and such an incredible learning experience.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Giovanna Fletcher plays the drums when she’s home alone.
The 37-year-old author – who is married McFly star Tom Fletcher and has sons Buzz, seven, Buddy, five, and Max, three, with her significant other – was taught to play the drums by Tom’s bandmate Harry Judd, and she likes to “bash out a rhythm” when alone.
She is quoted by the Daily Star newspaper as saying: “I really like playing the drums. I’m not very good. Harry Judd taught me how to play a bit about 15 years ago.
“When none of the kids are in I quite like sitting down and bashing out a rhythm!”
It comes as the ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ winner – who made her West End debut in thriller play ‘2:22 A Ghost Story’, taking over the role of Jenny from pop star Lily Allen – suffered an ankle injury when she fell over on stage, meaning that she had to return to the show wearing a boot.
She said: “I’m wearing a boot on stage. Jenny as a character is very driven and doing things on the stage, there is a lot of doing. I thought, do we have to tweak anything? Turns out she’s just slightly slower, but still faster than normal people on stage. So it’s worked out fine.”
The bestselling writer has also admitted she was “glad” to have not seen the Danny Robins play before taking over the role from the ‘Smile’ hitmaker.
She recently said: “None of us saw the old production, which I’m kind of glad about. We would have been saying ‘why did Lily do this? How did she interpret this?’ Because I had no idea, all of us have been able to explore it in our own way and the director has really let us do that as well. He’s not trying to create the same thing, he’s allowed us to make our own discoveries.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Alison Hammond was serenaded by the ‘Six the Musical’ cast ahead of her birthday tomorrow (05.02.22).
The TV presenter will turn 47 on Saturday, and she was treated to a rendition of ‘Happy Birthday’ from the stars of the stage on today’s (04.02.22) ‘This Morning’.
Speaking on the brunchtime via video link, they said: “From six queens to our daytime queen – this one is for you,” before belting out the tune.
Afterwards, Alison said: “That’s so lovely. Thank you, queens. How lovely was that? Thank you.”
And to celebrate the star’s love of Irish whiskey drink Baileys, Alison’s ‘This Morning’ co-host Dermot O’Leary presented her with a Baileys birthday cake in the studio, and yellow confetti began to fall from the ceiling to celebrate.
The impressive cake featured two miniature Baileys bottles on the top, and Alison wasted no time before cracking into one of them while live on air, and she gave Dermot the other one to have a tipple from.
Dermot said: “Tchin-tchin to you, happy birthday.”
She then began to tuck into the delicious chocolate cake.
Prior to the surprises in the studio, Alison quipped she was hoping some confetti would come down from the ceiling, and she jokingly looked around for a cake.
She said: “It is my birthday weekend, I thought I’d mention it to you in case you wanted to do me a surprise.
“Is it any minute now the confetti comes?
“So where’s the cake? Where is it? Is it under there? I’m absolutely joking.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Lorraine Kelly was left shocked when her best friend of 50 years made a surprise appearance on her show this morning (04.02.22).
The 62-year-old broadcaster has launched a “month of love” on ‘Lorraine’, and before the surprise reunion, she had been shown a video of her lifelong friend Joyce giving viewers an insight into their relationship and what the star was like in her schooldays.
Joyce said: “She was funny, she was witty, she was cheeky and she was a little bit of a rebel, because whatever was happening in school, Lorraine would like to go her own path. We loved David Cassidy and The Osmonds and she was really into David Bowie.
“I think we’ve got a really strong connection. We just refused to let the friendship melt away. Maybe a little bit of it is about she doesn’t have a sister, I don’t have a sister, maybe there’s that sort of sisterly connection – the good bits of being sisters.”
Joyce then went on to explain how Lorraine had always “been there” for her in difficult moments of her life and equally how she had dropped everything to be at her Lorraine’s side when she gave birth to Rosie back in 1995.
Joyce continued: “With the death of my father she was there and she was on the first plane to Scotland, because she knew I needed her and there she was.
“I often think about when Rosie was born, I ran into my boss’s office and said, ‘I’ve got to go, I have to see this new baby.’ When I got married, Lorraine was there, and we joke about the fact we were a tiny bit late for the ceremony. [It wasn’t] because of me, but because she couldn’t stop crying – she kept having to get her makeup fixed.”
Joyce was then brought into the studio by Lorraine’s co-host Dr Amir, a surprise that left the TV star in tears.
She told Joyce: “I can’t believe you kept this from me!”
Lorraine explained of their friendship: “We’re quite well behaved individually, but when we’re together we just go mad. We inspire each other to be naughty. My flabber is gasted! I’m so pleased.”
