Dave Franco cast in Colleen Hoover adaptation Regretting You

OHMYGOSSIP — Dave Franco is set to star in ‘Regretting You’.
The 39-year-old ‘Superbad’ actor has been cast as Jonah in the upcoming big-screen adaptation of ‘It Ends with Us’ author Colleen Hoover’s 2019 novel of the same name.
He is the love interest of Morgan Grant (Allison Williams), who is left devastated when her husband Chris is involved in a tragic and questionable accident.
Morgan became a mother at a young age to daughter Clara (Mckenna Grace) and doesn’t want the same for her daughter.
The tome’s blurb reads: “Morgan Grant and her sixteen-year-old daughter, Clara, would like nothing more than to be nothing alike.
“Morgan is determined to prevent her daughter from making the same mistakes she did. By getting pregnant and married way too young, Morgan put her own dreams on hold. Clara doesn’t want to follow in her mother’s footsteps. Her predictable mother doesn’t have a spontaneous bone in her body.
“With warring personalities and conflicting goals, Morgan and Clara find it increasingly difficult to coexist. The only person who can bring peace to the household is Chris—Morgan’s husband, Clara’s father, and the family anchor. But that peace is shattered when Chris is involved in a tragic and questionable accident. The heartbreaking and long-lasting consequences will reach far beyond just Morgan and Clara.
“While struggling to rebuild everything that crashed around them, Morgan finds comfort in the last person she expects to, and Clara turns to the one boy she’s been forbidden to see. With each passing day, new secrets, resentment, and misunderstandings make mother and daughter fall further apart. So far apart, it might be impossible for them to ever fall back together.”
The flick is set to be helmed by ‘The Fault In Our Stars’ filmmaker Josh Boone from Susan McMartin’s script, as reported by Deadline.
The news about the next Hoover adaptation comes as ‘It Ends With Us’ – which stars Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni – made a whopping $80 million worldwide during its opening weekend.

Lauryn Goodman’s breast milk brings all the boys to the yard

OHMYGOSSIP — Lauryn Goodman let her ‘Celebs Go Dating’ co-stars Chris Taylor and Tristan Phipps taste her breast milk.
The ‘Love Island’ and ‘Made in Chelsea’ stars got more than they bargained for during their time filming the E4 reality show with the 33-year-old model.
Chris told OK! Magazine: “Lauryn Goodman was breastfeeding, she offered me the opportunity to taste the breast milk, which I did. And then I also made Tristan do it.”
The social media influencer hit the headlines this year when England footballer Kyle Walker confirmed in January he was the father of Lauryn’s daughter, whose name is not known, while his wife Annie Kilner was pregnant with their fourth child.
Lauryn – who also has four-year-old son Kairo with Kyle, after they hooked up in 2019 when he was separated from Annie – is said to be excited about looking for love on the 13th series of the E4 show.
A friend close to Lauryn told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “Lauryn going on the show is a big step and shows Kyle and what happened with them is very much in the past.
“She is looking forward to the dating aspect.
“That said you can guarantee Kyle’s ears will be burning when they film the show as his name will no doubt come up plenty of times.
“Lauren is excited to go on the show and just wants to have some fun, but if she can meet a new man on the TV show or a potential boyfriend that will be a bonus.”
Lauryn is expected to be the late arrival in the upcoming ‘Celebs Go Dating’ series, which is to premiere on August 19.
A TV insider told The Sun newspaper’s TV Biz column: “She is quite a sensational signing for the show, not least because she now has a huge profile – and she’s one of the country’s best known singletons now.
“Almost every celeb who goes into CGD has some kind of backstory involving their private life, but Lauryn probably has one of the most sensational.
“But she won’t be getting any special treatment from the experts on the show as all the applicants get an equal hand in finding love.”
On the show, ‘dating agents’ Paul Carrick Brunson, Anna Williamson, and Dr Tara Suwinyattichaiporn attempt to help a host of celebrities find love.
Series 13 will also feature ‘Coronation Street’ star Helen Flanagan, former ‘Hollyoaks’ actress and singer Jamelia, ex-‘Gogglebox’ star Stephen Lustig-Webb, and ‘Married at First Sight’ cast member Ella Morgan.

Nick Knowles and more confirmed for Strictly Come Dancing

OHMYGOSSIP — Nick Knowles, Paul Merson and Sam Quek have joined the cast of ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The trio are the latest names to be announced for the upcoming series of the BBC’s Latin and ballroom competition, with the ‘DIY SOS’ presenter being revealed on Monday (12.08.24) alongside the retired footballer and former Olympian.
Nick said in a statement: “I’m so, so excited to be doing Strictly this year.
“People may be more used to me getting stuck in on a building site or travelling the world, but dancing live on TV will be a whole new adventure.
“I’ve spent my whole life learning new skills and I’ve never been afraid of a challenge – there’s life in the old dog yet to take on one more big one – being taught how to dance!
“I’ll give it my everything… and try not to embarrass my kids of course!”
Arsenal legend Paul jokingly described the dance show as a “whole new ball game”.
He quipped: “Joining ‘Strictly’ is a whole new ball game for me, but I’m going to tackle this challenge head on.
“I’m ready to swap the pitch for the Ballroom floor, so here’s hoping my two left feet can learn some moves and you never know, maybe I’ll be taking home the Glitterball Trophy!”
For ‘BBC Morning Live’ star Sam – previously a hockey player for England and Team GB – the idea of busting a move on the ballroom floor is “quite daunting”.
She said: “As a former hockey player I’m used to playing as part of a team, but the thought of dancing on the Ballroom floor in front of a live audience is quite daunting!
“I’m chuffed to be a part of this legendary show and Quickstep into the shoes of a performer, it feels absolutely surreal but I’m ready for every bit of the adventure.”
They complete a lineup already featuring the likes of Chris McCausland, JB Gill, Wynne Evans, Toyah Willcox, Dr Punam Krishan and Tasha Ghouri.
Other names confirmed include Pete Wicks, Shayne Ward, Sarah Hadland, Jamie Borthwick, Tom Dean and Montell Douglas (Fire on ‘Gladiators’).

Jack Whitehall becomes one of UK’s richest comedians

OHMYGOSSIP — Jack Whitehall has become one of the UK’s richest comedians.
The 36-year-old funnyman is said to have pulled in £2 million last year alone – taking his total net worth up to £11.4 million – mostly thanks to his string of Netflix shows he hosts alongside his did Michael such as ‘Jack Whitehall: Travels With My Father’.
An industry insider told The Sun newspaper’s TV Biz column: “There is no stopping Jack. Even becoming a dad hasn’t slowed down his earnings — and the commissions keep coming.
“He remains hugely likeable, and crucially his comedy appeals to advertisers as it’s safe and clean.
“Leaning on the relationship he has with his grouchy dad Michael and fun-loving mum Hilary has helped take him from laddy topics to more relatable ones, too. It’s hard to see a time when Jack won’t be popular.”
The Sun newspaper reports that newly filed accounts at Companies House indicate his firm Jackpot Productions saw an increase in its shareholders’ fund to £11,420,635 compared to last year’s £9,585,293.
With his huge fortune, Jack is now said to only be trailing behind Peter Kay, Stephen Merchant and Ricky Gervais, who each have a net worth of £34.6 million, £26.2 million and £25.8 million respectively.
The news comes after it was reported the ‘Bad Education’ star – who welcomed daughter Elsie with his partner Roxy Horner last year – was lining up a new Christmas special for 2024, which is said to mimic the U.S. show ‘Saturday Night Live’ and include a slew of celebrity guests.
A source told The Sun newspaper’s TV Biz column: “Christmas takes on a new meaning when you have children of your own, so it makes perfect sense for Jack to look at a festive show of his own too.
“The Jackpot team have been briefed to fill it with lots of laughs, silly sketches and celeb performances — sort of like ‘Saturday Night Live’ in the U.S. but with a lovely festive flourish.
“Plans are under way and Jack is chatting to a number of channels to find the format a home.”

‘They’ve got a different kind of juice’: Maya Jama doesn’t have the confidence to be a Love Island contestant

OHMYGOSSIP — Maya Jama could never be a contestant on ‘Love Island’.
The 29-year-old star has presented the ITV2 reality show since 2023 but explained that she would never have the confidence to “strut out of the house in a bikini” in the way the female islanders do.
In an interview with OK! magazine, Maya said: “I would not be able to, at any age, strut out of the house in a bikini in front of men that are judging me based on just one sentence and what I look like.
“The confidence of the people that go on! They’ve got a different kind of juice.”
Maya celebrates her 30th birthday on Wednesday (14.08.24) and explained that she is looking for new challenges after achieving many of her dreams at a young age.
She said: “I feel like I need to set new goals because I have been so fortunate that all my childhood goals have been achieved now before I am 30.
“(This) is another milestone, but focus on your job first then plan the party after!”
Maya discussed her approach to exercise and described how she does so to build energy to sustain her busy lifestyle and preserve her mental well-being.
She said: “I just want to have as much energy as I can. While I’m quite hyperactive and move around a lot in the day, without even going to the gym, being strong has always been my goal.”
The former BBC Radio 1 host added: “I just think (working out) helps your mental health so much anyway – there’s a difference in how I feel if I go out and do some exercise versus just staying in bed all day.”

Kym Marsh defends Graziano Di Prima after Strictly Come Dancing axing

OHMYGOSSIP — Kym Marsh has defended Graziano Di Prima after his axing from ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The former ‘Coronation Street’ actress danced with the Italian professional on the 2022 series of the hit BBC show and recalled having “one of the best times of her life” working with the star – who has left the programme amid allegations about his conduct towards his 2023 celebrity partner Zara McDermott.
Kym, 48, told The Sun newspaper: “I’m reluctant to talk about someone else’s experience. I had one of the best times of my life doing that show and it was amazing.
“I didn’t have any experiences like we’ve heard. It definitely, definitely did not represent what I had experienced, no.”
Asked if she was surprised to hear about the allegations against Graziano, she replied: “Yeah.
“I’ll always have tremendously fond memories.”
Meanwhile, Graziano recently insisted that he is not a “monster” or an “abusive man” as he gave his first interview since being axed from ‘Strictly’ last month.
The 30-year-old dancer told Mail+: “I didn’t deliberately hurt anyone. I’m not a monster. I’m not an abusive man.
“The only thing I can think of is the time I kicked the floor in frustration. We’d practised hour after hour to perfect a routine with lifts. It wasn’t easy but that’s the pressure of the show. I wasn’t meaning to kick her. I’d never, never do that. My foot brushed her after I kicked the floor. Afterwards I hugged her and said I was sorry. There was no problem. We carried on.
“I’m not sure if this is it or if it’s from when we, as professional dancers, move our partner’s leg with our foot. That is what is so difficult for me – not knowing.”

Ian ‘H’ Watkins found Celebrity MasterChefs scarier than a Steps gig

OHMYGOSSIP — Ian ‘H’ Watkins thinks appearing on ‘Celebrity MasterChef’ was scarier than performing in front of a huge crowd.
The 48-year-old singer has played in front of thousands of fans at shows with his Steps bandmates Claire Richards, Lee Latchford-Evans, Faye Tozer, and Lisa Scott-Lee, but found participating on the beloved BBC show far more nerve-wracking because he couldn’t handle the pressure of cooking in front of presenters Gregg Wallace and John Torode.
He said: “The ‘MasterChef’ kitchen is intimidating. I’m used to performing in the O2 Arena – I can do that with my eyes closed. Ask me to boil an egg in front of John and Gregg and I fall to pieces!”
The ‘Better Best Forgotten’ hitmaker – who will be competing against the likes of ‘Geordie Shore’ icon Charlotte Crosby, BT Sport host Craig Doyle and DJs Snoochie Shy and Edith Bowman on the programme – added that he chose to appear on the show because he wanted to improve his cooking skills.
He explained: “I am known by my friends and family for not being able to cook! I wanted to develop a skill I could involve my children and family with going forward.”
This will be Ian’s second stint on a competitive TV show after the singer appeared in ‘Dancing on Ice’ in 2020.
In the ITV programme, Ian – who is father to eight-year-old twins Macsen and Cybi – made history after he became the first contestant to dance in a same-sex couple, but the ‘5,6,7,8’ chart-topper revealed that the network wasn’t initially keen to let him perform alongside a man.
Speaking on the ‘White Wine Question Time’ podcast, he told former ‘Loose Women’ anchor Kate Thornton: “For me fundamentally as a person, I wanted to be completely authentic the way I presented myself.
“Especially because I’m a dad now, I wanted my children to see daddy living his best life. And it’s something I had asked for so long for so many years on all those contestant-based shows that you do interviews for.
“I’ve always asked the question and I always had a ‘No’, but this time I was in a very different headspace and I said to the producers, ‘If you want me then great, but these are my conditions. If you don’t want to do that, then I will bow out.’ I was that sure of myself and it was that important to me that I didn’t want to be paired with the opposite sex.”
The nineteenth series of ‘Celebrity MasterChef’ begins on BBC One on Tuesday (13.08.24) at 8pm.

Helen Flanagan is keen on Coronation Street return

OHMYGOSSIP — Helen Flanagan hopes to make a return to ‘Coronation Street’ in the future.
The 34-year-old actress hasn’t appeared as Rosie Webster in the ITV soap since 2018 but hopes to get back into acting once her children grow slightly older.
Helen – who is mother to Matilda, nine, Delilah, six, and Charlie, three, with her former fiance Scott Sinclair – told OK! magazine: “I really want to get back into acting.
“I am a mummy, so I always consider my children before I take jobs. I would never say never when it comes to ‘Corrie’ but the filming schedule could be quite intense for my little boy at the moment. I’d love to return at some point.”
Helen is taking part in the new series of the E4 show ‘Celebs Go Dating’ and felt it was the perfect time to look for love again after her 13-year relationship with Scott came to an end in 2022.
She said: “I love the show and I was asked before, when I had just split up with my ex-fiance, but I wasn’t in the right space. I’ve been single for two years now and I really wanted to do it.”
Helen explained that it can be a challenge dating with kids but is fortunate to have support from the grandparents on both herself and Scott’s side of the family.
The former ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’ contestant said: “I’m a single mum-of-three and their daddy lives in Bristol, so we live five hours away from each other.
“But I get on very well with his mum, Sally, which makes life so much easier, so we communicate through our parents. My mum is a fantastic help and I do have a nanny.
“Everything’s a juggle but I’m very lucky I have supportive grandparents on each side.”

Des Lynam can understand criticism of Gary Lineker’s Match of the Day salary

OHMYGOSSIP — Des Lynam admits that it is “hard to justify” Gary Lineker’s ‘Match of the Day’ salary.
The former footballer earned £1.3 million last year for presenting the iconic BBC football show and his predecessor can understand why the money Lineker gets paid has drawn criticism in some quarters.
Des told Radio Times magazine: “I don’t suppose you can justify in terms of what a nurse or firemen does, but it’s the market – that’s what the BBC feel they have to pay to get his services.
“You can’t say that anybody saying a few words into a television screen is worth more than someone who saves lives, but money dictates. He’s a very lucky chap.”
However, Lynam believes that Lineker does a “first-class job” presenting football after reflecting on how the former England striker was too nervous to talk frankly when he first joined the BBC as a pundit in the 1990s – a marked contrast to his damning critiques of England’s performances at Euro 2024.
The 81-year-old broadcaster – who hosted ‘Match of the Day’ between 1988 and 1999 – said: “He wasn’t comfortable (as a pundit) at the beginning.
“He’s been highly critical of the England team in the Euros, but when he first came on he wouldn’t criticise anybody. He’s not everyone’s cup of tea but for my money I think he does a first-class job.”
Meanwhile, Des argues that female pundits shouldn’t be providing analysis on men’s football as they have not played the game “at the level” they are discussing on screen.
He said: “I’ve got no gripe with female presenters, but when you’re a pundit and you’re offering opinions about the game, you have to have played it at the level you are talking about – ie, the men’s game.”

Brian May to front BBC badger culling documentary

OHMYGOSSIP — Brian May is to present a documentary about badger culling for the BBC.
The Queen guitarist has long been an advocate for animal rights and environmental conservation and the rocker will now be trying to bring to light the “tragic” culling of the critters in ‘Brian May: The Badgers, The Farmers and Me’.
Brian, 77, said: “I don’t blame people for being suspicious of me in the beginning, because, you know, I’m a guitarist. You know I’m a rock star. What am I doing? Why would I have some contribution to make?
“I came in to save the badgers. I now realise that to save the badgers, you have to save everybody because it’s a mess. It’s a tragic human drama where people’s hearts are broken.”
The documentary will air on BBC Two later this month and will showcase the “morally indefensible” effort to halt the spread of bovine tuberculosis – which can spread among livestock through badgers – by reducing the population of the animals.
Brian told the Radio Times magazine: “How could we be so impertinent to assert that a whole bank of scientific study has been wrong?
“In the 19th century, Queen Victoria’s physician single-handedly solved the problem of cholera in humans by overturning the universally held view among learned men that the disease was transmitted through the air.
“And a century before that, we were still burning witches at the stake in the firm belief that they were responsible for our problems.
“In pursuing the tragic badger cull, which has always been morally indefensible, we believe that science has made one of the biggest and most costly mistakes in history – hanging on to a policy that, in time, will be seen as no more effective than burning those unfortunate witches.”
While it is currently illegal to kill or harm badgers in the UK, a new government plan has been put forward that will allow farmers to wipe out the animals in certain areas.
The ‘Killer Queen’ rocker hopes his documentary will have a similar impact to the ITV drama ‘Mr. Bates vs The Post Office’ – which highlighted the Post Office scandal when it aired earlier this year – and help reverse the culling plans.
He said: “This is the first time an alternate point of view has been presented. It will outrage viewers more than anything since the Post Office scandal was revealed.”

Paddy McGuinness discovered a surprising Joe Biden connection on Who Do You Think You Are?

OHMYGOSSIP — Paddy McGuinness found out that he has a hidden connection to Joe Biden on ‘Who Do You Think You Are?’.
The former ‘Top Gear’ presenter delved into his family’s history in Ireland for the BBC genealogy show and was shocked to discover his great-great-grandparents Mark McGuinness and Winifred Malloy lived close to the 81-year-old U.S. President’s ancestor, Edward Blewitt, in Ballina, County Mayo.
Speaking on the programme that will air in the new series, Paddy, 50, reflected on this revelation as well as his grandfather’s medal he won for his brave actions during the Second World War and said: “My ancestors over here in Ballina who lived on the same street as Joe Biden’s ancestors. I think the biggest highlight for me was actually seeing my granddad’s war medal.
“That for me was a real moment where I felt like I was holding a piece of history in my hand, my dad would have loved to find more out about our Irish ancestors, and it had been nice to bring him out to Ballina and what have you, but I’ll have a pint of the black stuff for him.”
The ex ‘Take Me Out’ host added he always felt “ignorant” about his heritage but emphasised that he has always had a “spiritual connection” to County Mayo.
He said: “I do feel a real spiritual connection, even on this beach today, it’s absolutely beautiful here on the west coast of Ireland they could have been playing on here as kids walking up and down here, who knows. It’s quite a romantic thought, but I like it.
“It’s just been one of them where there’s so many lovely little surprises, my grandad on my mum’s side with the Spitfire connection.”

Gravity director Alfonso Cuaron wants to make a horror movie

OHMYGOSSIP — Alfonso Cuaron wants to make a horror movie inspired by films like ‘Rosemary’s Baby’ and ‘The Babadook’.
The 62-year-old Mexican director includes sci-fi films ‘Gravity’ and ‘Children of Men’ as well as dramas ‘Roma’ and ‘A Little Princess’, but he is yet to turn his cameras to the horror genre.
Cuaron – who also helmed ‘Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban’ – insists it is his next ambition to create film that will fascinate and terrify audiences like those two horror classics.
Speaking at the Locarno Film Festival, in Switzerland, he said: “My aspiration is to one day do a horror film.
“I love ‘Rosemary’s Baby’, and the other Polanski films, and films like ‘The Babadook’. They’re so grounded in reality and in character so I love those.”
Cuaron has been trying to write a script for a “grounded” horror film, but he hasn’t got his story quite right.
Talking at the event held at the Spazio Cinema, he added: “As a spectator, I have a wider taste but anything I feel I could do would need to be more grounded. I’ve been trying to write something like that, but somehow, it doesn’t fully work.”
‘Rosemary’s Baby’, directed by Roman Polanski, was released in 1968 and stars Mia Farrow as newlywed Rosemary Woodhouse who is living in the Bramford apartment building in New York City with her husband Guy Woodhouse (John Cassavetes) who becomes suspicious that her neighbours are members of a Satanic cult with evil plans for her unborn baby.
‘The Babadook’, written-and-directed by Jennifer Kent, was released in 2014 and focuses on a widowed single mother (Amelia Vanek) who, while struggling to cope with her grief, must confront a supernatural monster in her home with the help of her son.

British Board of Film Classification defends age re-classification of A Nightmare on Elm Street

OHMYGOSSIP — The British Board of Film Classification has defended its decision to change the age certificate of horror film ‘A Nightmare on Elm Street’.
The BBFC just lowered the age limit to watch Wes Craven’s 1984 horror movie, which stars Robert Englund as supernatural killer Freddy Krueger who attacks teenagers as they sleep, from 18 to 15 for UK audiences.
The organisation stated that although the slasher film features “bloody moments” these are “relatively discreet” compared to modern video games, new horror movies and online content.
The decision was made to change the certificate on August 1 following a new application from Warner Bros ahead of a home entertainment reissue in September.
The re-classification provoked ire on social media and even prompted ‘Downton Abbey’ creator Julian Fellowes to say: “I should have thought that showing ‘A Nightmare On Elm Street’ to a 15-year-old constituted child abuse. I can’t help feeling that these people should get out more.”
Now, a spokesperson for the BBFC has defended the decision insisting that the 15 rating is in line with age ratings given to current horrors.
The spokesperson told The Guardian newspaper: “At the BBFC, we review the classification of older films when they are submitted to us by the distributor, typically ahead of an upcoming rerelease. When doing so, we apply our current standards as set out in our published Classification Guidelines.
“In the case of ‘A Nightmare on Elm Street’, although the film features various bloody moments, it is relatively discreet in terms of gore and stronger injury detail. The kills often leave more to the imagination than visceral detail, and largely occur within a fantasy context. Compared to more recent precedents for violence and horror [classified] at 18 – such as ‘Halloween’, ‘Thanksgiving’, ‘Immaculate’ or ‘Saw X’ – the film is now containable at 15 and we reclassified it accordingly.”
‘A Nightmare on Elm Street’ is considered a classic of the slasher genre and it spawned six sequels, a 2010 remake and one franchise combining spin-off ‘Freddy vs. Jason’, which was released in 2003 and pitted Freddy against Jason Voorhees from the ‘Friday the 13th’ films.
Fans also got TV series ‘Freddy’s Nightmares’, video games and comic books.

Freddie Flintoff admits he ‘shouldn’t be here’ after horror ‘Top Gear’ crash

OHMYGOSSIP — Freddie Flintoff “should not be here” after his horror ‘Top Gear’ crash.
The former cricket hero, 46, endured a string of nightmarish injuries in a smash while filming the car show in December 2022, which he has now shown to fans in his new BBC One series ‘Field of Dreams on Tour’.
He said during a tearful home video included in the series he made in the aftermath of the crash: “I am struggling already and I need help. I really am.
“I’m not the best at asking for it. I need to stop crying every two minutes.
“I genuinely should not be here after what happened. It’s going to be a long road back and I’ve only just started.
“I’ve got to look at the positives, I’ve got another chance, and I’m going to go at it. I’m seeing that as how it is – a second go.”
Father-of-three Freddie showed off his smashes nose and scarred lips and head in the clip, which was shot at his family home where he ended up being a recluse for seven months in the wake of the accident.
He also revealed he suffered from nightmares, flashbacks and “shouldn’t have survived” the ‘Top Gear’ crash.
The accident saw him airlifted to hospital from the Dunsfold Park Aerodrome in Surrey.
Freddie was in a three-wheel £43,000 Morgan Super 3 roadster when he got in the near-fatal smash as he filmed an episode of ‘Top Gear’ alongside Paddy McGuinness, 51, and 49-year-old Chris Harris.
He also revealed on his new show the impact of his crash will haunt him for the “rest of my life”.
And he admitted he has to cope with post traumatic stress-style nightmares and flashbacks of the crash.
As a result of the accident, the long-running show was cancelled and he received £9 million in compensation.
Freddie has rarely been seen in public since the crash – with his wife Rachael, 42, reportedly “begging” him to stay off work and take time to recover.
But the cricketer-turned-presenter has since brought back a new series of his ‘Field of Dreams’ show, which sees him take a group of young cricketers on a tour to India.

Jeff Brazier looks forward to ‘learning about his son’

OHMYGOSSIP — Jeff Brazier rarely sees his teenage son – despite living under the same roof as him.
The 45-year-old TV star appears alongside his son Freddie Brazier on the new series of ‘Celebrity Race Across the World’, and Jeff has revealed that he relished the experience of spending some quality time with his 19-year-old son.
He said on the BBC One show: “The thing I’m most looking forward to is I feel like I’m going to learn a lot more about my son.
“He isn’t at home loads and as a result I don’t see loads of him, but the beauty of this trip is that he’s with me and he can’t shake me off.”
Freddie, meanwhile, admitted that he was struggling trying to decide his own career path.
He said: “Right now I’m figuring out what I’m going to do with my life.
“I think that’s quite tough. Who is Freddie Brazier? I don’t know, but I hope the race will help me find who I am.”
Bobby Brazier, Jeff’s 21-year-old son, has starred on ‘EastEnders’ in recent years.
But Jeff previously admitted that he worried about him working in the TV industry.
Jeff told The Times newspaper: “Although a lot of my work has been on TV, I was concerned about him following in my footsteps. But the more he grew spiritually, the less I worried.
“He has found a wonderful balance in his life. He enjoys modelling, he enjoys being on ‘EastEnders’, but he knows it’s not the be-all and end-all.
“He is authentic, with a charm and maturity that belies his age. He’s ready for whatever life throws at him.
“As a parent, it’s hard to gauge how your child is going to turn out, but when you consider what Bobby has been through, he ain’t done too bad.”

Love Island winner Sanam Harrinanan returning to her day job as a social worker

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Love Island’ winner Sanam Harrinanan teared up as she revealed she’s returning to her day job.
The 26-year-old beauty shot to fame on the ITV2 dating show last year, when she and now-fiancé, Kai Fagan, won the series, and she has just completed the qualification she needed to return to her “passion” of being a social worker.
In an emotional Instagram video, she said: “I’ve just come on here to share some really exciting and happy news.
“Today, I have finally completed my new qualified year as a social worker, which is amazing.
“I had to leave my job when I went into Love Island, and I’ve always had a passion for what I did and the fact that I left it didn’t sit well with me.
“I’m so glad to be back in my profession, I love what I do.”
Sanam declared that she has her “purpose back again”.
The post was captioned: “Couldn’t even make this video without happy tears.
“But long story short, I’ve finally completed my ASYE (newly qualified) year as a social worker.
“Leaving work to jump into a new experience blessed me with a fiancé and a new life but I felt like I was missing a part of my career.
“Going back to complete this is the best thing I did, especially as I worked so hard for it.
“I finally have my purpose back again in life, as well as being able to live the best of both worlds.
“So happy to be where I am today in life.”
The reality star signed off by highlighting that it’s possible to do shows like ‘Love Island’ and not “ruin your image or career”.
Sanam added: “This is your reminder reality TV doesn’t have to ruin your image or career.
“You can achieve whatever you set your mind to.
“Stay true to yourself always.”
Sanam and Kai confirmed their engagement in April.
The PE teacher wrote on Instagram: “Introducing the next Mrs Fagan.
“Beautiful, Caring, Loving and Smart are just some of the words that describe you. I love loving you, I love you and I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you.”
