OHMYGOSSIP — Olivia Attwood, Kevin Clifton, Christine McGuinness and Max George are among the stars who will be taking part on ‘The Games’.
The new ITV sports reality show will see 12 celebs compete in an activity extravaganza hosted by ‘This Morning’ presenter Holly Willoughby and former England cricketer Andrew ‘Freddie’ Flintoff.
They will be joined by influencer and model Phoenix Brown, songstress Chelcee Grimes, ‘Harry Potter’ star Josh Herdman, ‘Coronation Street’ actor Colson Smith, ITV News journalist Lucrezia Millarini, former ‘Love Island’ contestant Wes Nelson, ‘Emmerdale’ actress Rebecca Sarker and former ‘Corrie’ heartthrob Ryan Thomas.
The show – which is being produced by Banijay UK’s Initial by ITV’s Commissioning Editor Nicola Lloyd and Sue Murphy, the Head of Factual Entertainment – will see the stars get coached, trained and then compete for medals this Spring.
Along with Holly and Freddie, ‘The Games’ will feature BBC sports pundit Alex Scott and Chris Kamara as the all-star commentator.
The boys and the girls will compete in athletics, swimming and gymnasium and velodrome in events such as the 100-meter sprint to diving to earn medals.
As well as live broadcast of the events, each episode will showcase their training as the stars learn from the country’s best coaches to reach their top physical condition.
As the celebs rack up points on the leaderboard each night, the series will end in a exciting finale where one man and one woman will be made champion of the ‘The Games’.

OHMYGOSSIP — Dougray Scott is to star in a second series of ‘Crime’.
ITV has commissioned a second series of the gritty thriller show – which is adapted from the best-selling novel of the same name by Irvine Welsh and produced by Bucaneer Media and Off Grid Film and TV – which will see Scott return as troubled detective Ray Lennox.
Season Two of ‘Crime’ will be one of the first shows to launch on ITV’s new streaming service ITVX only being broadcast on its linear channel months later as part of ITV’s digital-first strategy.
Season One was commissioned by BritBox and will have a free premiere on ITVX ahead of the second series launch.
Speaking about his return, Scott – who is also acting as executive producer – said: “Making ‘Crime’ has been one of the most exhilarating experiences of my career. I’m so grateful to get to work once again with the great Irvine Welsh, my wonderful producing partner Tony Wood and all at Buccaneer and ITV. I feel very fortunate.”
Polly Hill – ITV’s Head of Drama – added: “‘Crime’ was a brilliantly original series and a perfect fit for ITVX, where we want to showcase drama as distinctive and original as this police procedure from Irvine Welsh.

‘Trainspotting’ author Welsh and his long-standing screenwriting partner Dean Cavanagh are creating the scripts for the programme which will start shooting in Summer 2022.
Welsh, 63, said: “I loved working on the first season of ‘Crime’, and Dean Cavanagh and myself are already having a blast developing scripts for the second series. It was wonderful to work with such a talented cast and we hope to push those memorable characters further this time. No more Mister Nice Guy from Dean and I.”
Season 2 will see Lennox settled back into life with Edinburgh’s Serious Crimes team, having fully recovered from his breakdown after the toll of his last investigation.
When a high-ranking member of the establishment is found dead in a Leith warehouse, Lennox is thrown into a case which quickly reveals itself as the work of a serial killer. As victims mount up, Lennox realises these are anything but random. This is the work of a solitary killer with an axe to grind. Never far from his psychological turmoil, Lennox is pushed back towards his demons by this new case.

OHMYGOSSIP — Andrea McLean is moving to Florida.
The former ‘Loose Women’ panellist is relocating to the Sunshine State “for at least a month to try it out” as she has spent months reassessing what she wants for her life following a life-changing experience on Channel 4 reality show ‘Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins’ in 2019.
Andrea is making the move with her third husband Nick Feeney and her two children, Finlay, 20, and Amy, 15.
The 52-year-old presenter told Scottish newspaper The Sunday Post newspaper: “When you get to your 50s you really take a long, hard look and think, ‘I am at the crest of the hill and looking down, is this where I want to be? I am 52, I may only have 30 winters left. Do I want to spend them in Britain? No, I don’t. I want to be somewhere warm and feel the sun on my skin.
“One of the good things about the pandemic is that it has made us realise we can literally be anywhere. We are booked to go to Florida for at least a month to try it out.”
Andrea – who has sold her Surrey home and is currently living in a rented house before heading to the States – knew ‘Celebrity SAS’ would “be challenging” but she didn’t know how much of an impact it would have on her.
On the show, McLean took part in an exercise where she was “abducted and interrogation” by ex-SAS soldier Mark “Billy” Billingham and the experience opened a Pandora’s Box of issues she had been burying.
She said: “I knew it was going to be challenging – the physicality of it – but it never occurred to me that mentally it would change my life forever.
“It was like a lid opened on the box and all the bats came out and I couldn’t get them back in again. When I got home I didn’t tell anyone and I tried to carry on like before. I tried to keep myself busier and busier and I just burnt out. I was so mentally and physically exhausted I was literally throwing up before going into work.
“One day I literally fell into a chair and sobbed. People were knocking on my door saying, ‘Hello, she needs to be in make-up.’ I had to go on screen. So they patched me up and I gathered myself and did the show. And then I went home to Nick and said, ‘We need to talk. I feel like I am falling apart. I need therapy.'”
Twice divorced Andrea underwent professional counselling but she also credits her spouse Nick – who has two daughters aged 19 and 17 from a previous relationship – for helping her through this difficult period of her life.
She said: “Subconsciously I knew I could fall backwards because I was with someone who would catch me. He was the person who would find a way to understand and find a way to let me just be. I don’t think I’d ever had that before.
“Weirdly, having a breakdown was the best thing that could have happened to me because it made me stop. It was like hitting a wall. It made me re-evaluate everything. Breakdown is such an emotive, dramatic and scary word. But for me it was just caused by a series of papercuts, thousands of different things that had happened bit by bit and I hadn’t dealt with any of them.

OHMYGOSSIP — Chris Kamara has developed a speech disorder caused by thyroid issues.
Former footballer turned sports presenter – who was diagnosed with Hypothyroidism, also known as Underactive Thyroid disease in June last year – left his fans concerned for his health following his slurred speech on Sky Sports show ‘Soccer Saturday’ this weekend.
Kamara, 64, took to Twitter to address talk to fans directly about their concerns for his health revealing his slurred speech is caused after he developed neurological disorder apraxia – a motor speech condition that affects brain pathways involved in producing speech.
He posted: “Just wanted to let a few of you know who tweeted me today that I am ok-ish. Alongside my Thyroid problem I have developed Apraxia of Speech have been working to get my speech back to normal.
“Some days it can be a little slow and some days it’s normal. Hopefully I can beat this!”
Jeff Stelling, the host of ‘Soccer Saturday’, tweeted his friend Chris: “You still bring life, energy, fun and understanding to all your reports. We all love you, pal Keep going!”
Retired Premier League referee Mark Halsey, who had cancer, tweeted: “YOU will beat this, Pal, be strong and stay positive.”
Olympic gold medallist Sam Quek, former footballer Viv Anderson and Liverpool’s Jamie Carragher also showed their support.
The ex-Leeds united midfielder – who will be providing commentary on new ITV reality show ‘The Games’ – admitted that he suffered from brain fog and slurred speech for 2 years before going to get help because he was in denial.
He previously said in a Youtube video created for Men’s Health Week: “Embarrassment, stubbornness, head in the sand. Didn’t want to believe what was going on in my body, in my mind.
“Even though people were saying along the way ‘he’s not his normal self’ I would just bat it away and say ‘no I’m fine.’”
Before being sent off for a scan, he believed he was suffering from the onset of dementia as some days he couldn’t remember a thing.
Chris said: “Brain fog, slurring speech and then other days you’re fine.”
But after the scans came back clear, he as then sent off for blood tests which revealed he has an underactive thyroid – a condition where the thyroid glands don’t produce enough hormones – and will remain on tablets for the rest of his life.

OHMYGOSSIP — Mel Giedroyc is embroiled in a feud with Nick Knowles.
The 53-year-old TV star has spilled that ‘DIY SOS’ host Nick, 59, “detests” her because she once said he was the person on TV who annoys her the most in an interview with Radio Times magazine.
Speaking to the Daily Star newspaper’s Hot TV column, she spilled: “Nick Knowles really hates me. He absolutely detests me.
“I did this silly sort of Radio Times interview. You know, one of those where they say, ‘You’ve got 30 seconds to answer 50 questions’. And one of the questions was, ‘Who most annoys you on TV?’ and I just went ‘Nick Knowles’ without thinking.”
It became apparent that Nick found out about Mel’s comments after they appeared on ‘Children in Need’ together three years ago.
Mel, who was interviewing him on live TV, said her encounter with Nick was cold.
She shared: “Then a couple of years later I was interviewing him on live telly.
“And he just going like this at me … and I was thinking, ‘What the actual heck’s going on? And then he said, ‘You don’t like me very much, do you?’ He holds grudges!”
Viewers complained that Mel, who was presenting ‘Children In Need’ at the time was being “very rude and unnecessary” to Nick, who appeared as a guest to help raise money, as she “kept cutting him off”.
Mel – whose TV shows include ‘The Great British Bake Off’, ‘The Generation Game’ and ‘Mel and Sue’ – is getting ready for her next TV project which will be to front her new confessional show ‘Mel Giedroyc: Unforgiveable’.
The series, which starts this week on Dave, will see thee celebrities on each episode invited to a confessional box where they will reveal their deepest darkest sins. They will compete against one another to convince Mel who will choose the most unforgivable person in the room.
Some of the guest celebrities set to appear on the show will include breakfast presenter, Lorraine Kelly, comedians, Jack Dee and Katherine Ryan.

OHMYGOSSIP — Daisy Lowe loved being on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ because it allowed her to “champion real women’s bodies”.
The Chanel model – famous for her curvaceous figure – was “really proud” of what her body was capable of during her 2016 stint on the star-studded BBC One Latin and ballroom competition because working in the fashion industry she was “constantly” ragging on her body.
Speaking on the ‘That Gaby Roslin Podcast’ on Monday (21.03.22), the 33-year-old model told host Gabby: “Throughout my career I was always very conscious of wanting to champion real women’s bodies.
“Being curvy and feeling like an elephant in comparison to all these stick-thin models, for the first time in my career I was actually being told that what my body was doing is really good and being really proud of what my body could achieve – rather than constantly pulling myself apart.”
Recently, Daisy – who is the daughter of 51-year-old fashion designer Pearl Lowe and the 56-year-old rocker Gavin Rossdale – shared some tips on how to “get that serotonin going” via moving your body.
Earlier this month, she said: “If I’m feeling c***** I like getting outside, getting fresh air and going for a walk in nature. Exercise always shifts everything, but not to the point of obsession or addiction, but just to get that serotonin going through your body.”
One of the Vogue Italia’s favourite activities was something she found during the COVID-19 pandemic; developing a yoga practice.
Daisy added: “I have got into yoga during lockdown. The world felt like it was ending so I definitely found solace in the power of breathing and meditation.”
Daisy also believes “nothing beats” a long soak in the tub and having a natter with her mates.
She said: “Nothing beats a good hot bath and candles, with salts in the water.”
“Also I like talking to my mates. It is important to talk because when someone stops talking and goes quiet, that’s when you know they’re really struggling and something is going on.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Alan Carr has hired a personal trainer following his split from his husband Paul Drayton.
The 45-year-old TV star has joked he wants a “revenge body” after announcing his decision to divorce the 49-year-old actor and party planner after 13 years of marriage.
Speaking on his Life’s a Beach podcast, Carr told guest Joe Wicks that he hired a personal trainer after the split, quipping: “I have just gone through a divorce so I told the trainer I want a revenge body. But I think he thought I said I wanted a blancmange body.”
Wicks then explained the mental health benefits that Carr will also experience from getting fit, saying: “Tap into the mental health benefits of exercise. If you wake up with energy, you’ve got the time to exercise, you’ll want to do it for your mind to feel less stress, especially when you are going through something emotional.”
Alan shared what the 36-year-old fitness fanatic told him: “Do it for those reasons and the fat loss will come.”
The ‘Chatty Man’ host might have been inspired by his friend and wedding officiant Adele, who lost 98 pounds after splitting from her husband Simon Konecki in 2019, the father of her nine-year-old son Angelo.
However, the ‘I Drink Wine’ hitmaker has denied she shed the pounds to get a “revenge body” but picked up exercise to manage her anxiety.
Adele said: “I did it for myself and not anyone else.”
In January, Paul pled guilty to one count of driving a motor vehicle with an alcohol level above the limit after he was found to be behind the wheel over four times the legal limit. While appearing at Brighton Crown Court, he was given a 12-week suspended sentence.

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Inside No. 9’ is being turned into a stage show.
The popular BBC Two dark comedy – which is set to return for its seventh series this spring – has its roots in theatre as the one-room, self-contained episodes “started off life” as plays, and now creators Steve Pemberton and Reece Shearsmith are looking into a live production.
Steve told the Daily Star newspaper’s Hot TV column: “It is definitely on the cards. We have flirted with the idea of doing a play and now we are moving into the heavy petting stage.
“I think a stage play is good because the episodes are in many ways little theatre pieces.
“They started off life in our minds as plays and there is no reason why we couldn’t transfer them.”
Meanwhile, the upcoming series is set to feature a number of guest stars including ‘W1A’
actress Jessica Hynes, ‘Line of Duty’ actor Daniel Mays, ‘Motherland’ star Diane Morgan, Britannia’s Sophie Okonedo, ‘Star Trek: Discovery’s Jason Isaacs and the duo’s former ‘League of Gentlemen’ collaborator Mark Gatiss.
There are also many more performers who are on Steve and Mark’s “hit list”, but scheduling can be an issue.
Steve added: “There are people who want to be in the show but often they are very busy and dates don’t tie up.
“We have a hit list of people but chances are they won’t have a free week.”
BBC’s Head of Comedy Josh Cole previously promised the next series of the BAFTA award-winning comedy – which first aired in 2014 – will be “better than ever”.
He said: “‘It’s a joy to be back in the Inside No. 9 saddle. Reece and Steve are comic masters, and their new scripts are better than ever. Which really is saying something when the last bunch won Best Comedy at the BAFTAs.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Brenda Blethyn has put a stop to speculation she’ll quit ‘Vera’.
The 76-year-old actress is returning for the second season of ITV sitcom ‘Kate and Koji’ – in which she stars as seaside cafe owner Kate, who strikes up an unlikely friendship with asylum seeker doctor Koji, who will now be played by Okorie Chukwu after Jimmy Akingbola left to further his career in the US.
And ahead of the new series of the comedy kicking off on Wednesday night (16.03.22), Brenda has insisted this doesn’t spell the end for her popular detective series.
Brenda, who plays the titular role, told Radio Times magazine: “I haven’t got any plans to [leave].
“At the moment, all the time I’m fit and able, I’ll be visiting Vera.”
In fact, the BAFTA winner will be filming more episodes as Detective Chief Inspector Vera Stanhope this month.
She teased: “The first [episode] I’ve read is someone found dead on a boat. So there’ll be some nice locations on that one!”
Filming locations include Newcastle and Northumberland in North East England and Brenda admitted she finds northerners more friendly.
The TV star – who hails from Ramsgate, Kent, South East England – said: “I love it, I just love it – I love the people up there, too.
“There is a difference between the friendliness of the north and the south, I don’t care what anybody says.”
The actress admitted it’s a huge “compliment” that locals are fans of Vera and her Geordie accent.
She said: “That’s the main compliment, really, that the people of the north east like Vera.
“Every two years they have a charity concert called Sunday for Sammy, which helps young people maybe trying to get into the profession as performers. Four years ago, they had a sketch with lots of coppers off the telly and at the end, Vera walks on and honest to God, you could have heard the roof lift off. I was shocked. It was rapturous, and it was just so funny for all of us on stage. It was so lovely, I could have cried.”
The detective series is even a huge hit Down Under.
Brenda added: “I don’t know if you’ve clocked what’s been happening in Australia.
“Season 11 has been going out in Australia on ABC and they’ve scheduled it against the Prime Minister’s [Scott Morrison] address to the nation… and Vera won! There were all these tweets saying, ‘Vera for Prime Minister!’”

OHMYGOSSIP — Susan Calman will “never forget” having to strip naked next to Debbie McGee.
The 47-year-old comedian appeared alongside Debbie, 63, on the 2017 series of BBC favourite ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ and said that having to go nude for a spray tan with her was “f****** weird.”
She said: “I was frightened I was going to look like an idiot and stuff like that. And having to take your kit off and be spray-tanned next to Debbie McGee is an experience I’ll never forget in my life. Lovely woman, Debbie, but it was f****** weird!”
The ‘Great British Menu’ presenter was eventually eliminated ninth in the competition with professional Kevin Clifton whilst Debbie – who is best known for her marriage to late magician Paul Daniels – landed in third place alongside Giovanni Pernice in the series eventually won by former ‘Holby City’ actor Joe McFadden and Katya Jones but made her return to television for a festive edition of travelling show of ‘Cruising With Susan’ the end of 2021.
Susan had been selected to replace former ‘Loose Women’ star and singer Jane McDonald as the host of Channel 5’s flagship cruising show and joked that she has “not been shopping” for years as a every item in her wardrobe has been given to her as part of a television show.
Speaking on the ‘Who Are You Wearing?’ podcast, she told host Kiri Pritchard-McLean: “Every item I have has been bought for me by a television show. I haven’t been shopping in for years!”

OHMYGOSSIP — Vanessa Feltz was “devastated” to see Alison Hammond crying about her weight.
The 47-year-old presenter broke down during phone-in segment on ‘This Morning’ earlier this month and now fellow TV star Vanessa, – who calls herself the UK’s “second most famous fat person” after ‘Vicar of Dibley’ star Dawn French 60, has reached out in support because understands how “unpleasant” weight troubles can be.
She said: “I feel very lucky to know Alison. She’s hilarious, she’s compassionate and she’s a bundle of energy. She’s always smiling and laughing and she has a very warm heart. So, when I saw her crying, I felt devastated for her, but I do know what it’s like. I’m the second most famous fat person after Dawn French, so I know how unpleasant it can be.”
On an episode of the daytime chat show back at the beginning of March, Alison was comforted by co-host Dermot O’Leary as she urged people to realise “obesity is a disease.”
She said: “Can I just say something? Obviously, I’ve had – I’m getting upset – I’ve had obesity my whole life. And what it is, is your regulation system is out of whack. So obviously, you can’t control wanting to eat all the time! I think what a lot of people don’t realise, is obesity is a disease. You can’t help wanting to eat all the time. Sorry, I get – sorry.”
Vanessa, 60, went on to explain that she and the former ‘Big Brother’ contestant have spoken about their weight before and but was “glad” that Alison was able to open up about her struggles on live television.
She told Closer: “It’s a life-long struggle and some people are very unsympathetic. Alison and I do talk about it. We’ve both been in a similar situation and we both know it’s very difficult. I’m glad she felt able to share that part of herself, but my heart was bleeding for her. ”

OHMYGOSSIP — Lauren Goodger and her ex-boyfriend Charles Drury are reportedly “co-parenting'” under the same roof
The 35-year-old reality star – who has eight-month Larose with on/off boyfriend Charles, 24, and is expecting her second child with him despite splitting earlier this year – is said to be allowing him to sleep at her house so they can “continue to co-parent.”
A source told new! magazine: “Lauren and Charles are continuing to co-parent their daughter. Charlie is there at the weekends and occasionally a night during the week to support Lauren and see Larose. He stays over at Lauren’s house in Essex, as he’s currently living elsewhere – but they sleep in separate beds, of course.”
The source went on to explain that that former ‘TOWIE’ star Lauren is finding things “really full on” at the moment and is struggling to sleep but has been so busy with Larose that she hasn’t had time to “overthink” her current pregnancy.
The insider added: “Lauren is finding it really full-on because she’s still breastfeeding Larose throughout the night, so she isn’t getting much sleep. She’s up at 5am every day and feels tired all the time. She’s feeling the strain but coping well. Work is busy for her at the moment, too. It’s a challenging time. But because she’s been so busy with Larose, she doesn’t have time to overthink everything.”
The news comes just a week after the former ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ contestant – who had dumped Charles when he admitted to sleeping with Instagram model Amy Gilbert when they were on a break – appeared to have ruled out a reunion at all.

OHMYGOSSIP — Cheryl Fergison is charging fans for lessons on Zoom.
The 56-year-old actress – who is best known for playing Heather Trott on BBC soap opera ‘EastEnders’ until 2012 – took to social media platform TikTok, where she explained to fans that the lessons will be “one to one” and “tailor-made.”
She said: “You will have an hour with me where you can choose the subject/s that are of interest. It is important that these 1-2-1 sessions are tailor made just for you.”
In the video, the actress can be seen showing a print out of topics available and amongst the topics are singing lessons, tips on “how to build a character” as well as lessons in “how a soap is put together.”
The actress wrote “Let’s talk ‘EastEnders! How a soap is put together for your viewing and how I developed the character of Heather Trott. [I will answer] any questions you may have regarding my time at ‘EastEnders’ as well as any other roles on Stage/TV that I have portrayed worked on.”
The news of the lessons – which reportedly cost £60 – come soon after it was announced that Cheryl is to make a return to television in upcoming comedy ‘Hard Cell.’
The Netflix comedy – which is set to premiere on the streaming platform on April 12th – is written by and stars sketch show legend Catherine Tate and follows prisoners in a mockumentary as they prepare for a musical performance directed by Cheryl Fergison.
Executive producer Kristian Smith said: “We cannot wait to show audiences on Netflix the inside of HMP Woldsley, our fictional prison occupied by the fantastic creations of Catherine Tate. This series is funny and touching all at once, revealing what life might be like in a British women’s correctional facility.”
