OHMYGOSSIP — Rylan Clark wanted to “get naked” with the contestants on his new TV show.
The 35-year-old presenter is fronting Paramount+ series ‘Dating Naked’ – in which those looking for love get to know each other whilst in the buff – and he admitted that in a “bizarre” way, the lack of clothes became a “secondary” aspect on set and he wanted to strip off himself so he wasn’t left out.
He told The Sun newspaper’s TV Biz column: “I just went, ‘I need them to feel comfortable with me, and I need to feel comfortable with them’. So I looked them in the eye and went, ‘I’m going to get this out of the way now’. I looked down and did the sweep, and they all started laughing.
“I started laughing, the crew started laughing and then that was it. The nakedness became secondary, if anything.
“For the first five or ten minutes, I was like, ‘Is this for real? But after 15 minutes, it was, ‘I can’t believe he’s talking to her. I can’t believe she’s saying that’.
“Your brain sort of clicks. It’s just so bizarre.
“The craziest thing is, all I wanted to do was be naked throughout it. I felt left out.”
The former ‘X Factor’ star even explained that having to film fully clothed in Colombia came as a disadvantage because he was overheating.
He said: “One night I wore a velvet suit and genuinely thought I was gonna collapse.
“It was so hot, it’s even 30 degrees at night and they were alright because they’re naked.
“But I could have done without wearing clothes, to be honest.”
Rylan even thinks the format of the show – which will not be censored – could lend itself to a celebrity series and hinted that it could be on the cards if the first series is successful.
He said: “It definitely lends itself to a celebrity version.
“When we were in Colombia, someone texted me asking how it was going and she went, ‘Do you think they’ll ever do a celeb version?’.
“I was with the bosses of Paramount+ so I said, ‘Would we?’. And they went, ‘If this is a success, of course we would’. My mate was like, ‘I’d do it’.
“So I’ve already started the list and planting seeds.
“Trust me, I could assemble a crack team of daters.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Megan McKenna has been struggling to walk amid her pregnancy.
The 31-year-old reality star is currently expecting her first baby with her footballer fiancé Oliver Burke, and she took to social media on Sunday (19.08.24) to chat her fans as she dished up a Chinese takeaway.
But when a follower commented that her bump looked “so heavy”, she replied: “It feels so heavy! I couldn’t breathe walking to my car uphill last night. It’s crazy!”
The former ‘TOWIE’ star had attended Taylor Swift’s ‘Eras Tour’ at Wembley Stadium over the weekend, and while she had thoroughly enjoyed the concert, Megan admitted the whole thing had left her “mentally and physically exhausted” because of a chauffeur booking gone wrong.
She explained: “We had a bit of a dilemma to start the night…I was so upset. I organised a chauffeur to pick me and my sister up, because I’m very pregnant, I was a bit worried about the safety and crowds an everything, so I was gonna pay a lot of money for this car.
“So me and my sister are waiting. Half an hour late. We’re standing at the door with our packed lunch!
“So I’m calling the car guy, no one’s answering, no one’s texting me. I confirmed it with him in the morning at like 9. What do I do? Do I drive? There’s no car parking spaces, all cab services are long waits.
“This car person has messaged me back saying he’d booked the wrong day. I don’t even believe it. It’s so unprofessional. I had stated I was very heavily pregnant. I just needed the car to be there.
“That was our drama before Taylor Swift.
“I’m mentally exhausted and physically exhausted but I had a really nice bath today, Epsom salts in it and I had a nap. I feel like I needed a day to recoup myself!”
The former ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ housemate announced her pregnancy to her followers in April.
Alongside a reel of herself and Oliver checking the results of a pregnancy test and going to the first scan, she wrote on Instagram: “A little bit of you and a little bit of me… now we’re a family”

The 73-year-old actress took to social media to reveal a picture of herself in the hospital and explained to her followers she had a “nasty fall” and will have to take time off from her radio show to recover.
She wrote on X: “So Sorry Everyone No Vix Mix Sunday. I’ve had a nasty fall and broken my shoulder. Ouch! Bloody painful. Me at hospital. Hopefully be with you next week. Missing you already x (sic)”
The former ‘Allo Allo’ star – who also joined the BBC soap opera ‘EastEnders’ in 2023 in the guest role of Jo Cotton – was inundated with well-wishes from several other famous faces.

On Sunday (18.08.24) evening, Vicki gave a third update where she said she “really needed a laugh”, so pointed her followers in the direction of three of her favourite episodes of the sitcom she had starred in.

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Hot Mess Summer’ has been shelved after one series.
The Rylan Clark-fronted reality TV show, which aired on Amazon Prime Video, isn’t expected to make a comeback “as it currently stands”.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “Unfortunately, with Rylan’s jam-packed schedule and Prime Video’s upcoming slate, there aren’t plans for another series as it currently stands.”
The show saw eight contestants told they were being flown to Zante for a summer of partying.
However, they soon discovered they were there to run a VIP bar.
Rylan had to keep an eye on the stars and deliver feedback from guests, who weren’t always full of praise for the ‘Hot Mess Summer’ stars’ bar skills and customer service.
Ahead of the first and what appears to be the only series of the show, Rylan admitted the programme would be a change of pace to reality shows like ‘Love Island’, with a greater focus on hard work rather than personalities.
He said: “They are not here for a party summer, they’re here to work. It’s a fantastic cast but it’s always hard, especially with the younger generation now, to find people that aren’t ‘trained’ for it.
“They’ve grown up with reality TV so they know how it works. They’re the TikTok generation, they know what to say, when not to say it.
“But the guys we’ve found, they’re happy to slip at times and I think that’s what makes a good show.
“This is the type of show I probably would have been on ten years ago.”
Rylan – who is hosting new Paramount+ show ‘Dating Naked UK’ – also explained that he wasn’t on the show to “discipline” the contestants.
He added: “My job isn’t to discipline, my job is to encourage them and make sure they’re enjoying it.”

OHMYGOSSIP — John Thomson is set to return to ‘Coronation Street’.
The 55-year-old actor – who is best known for appearing in ITV drama ‘Cold Feet’ – previously played biker Gary in 1990, and then returned to the cobbles as children’s entertainer Jesse Chadwick in the ITV soap from 2008 to 2010.
John is now expected to make another cobbles comeback as part of ‘Corrie’ legend Helen Worth’s exit storyline.
Helen is to bow out of the soap as Weatherfield icon Gail Rodwell at the end of the year, and Sean Wilson – who played her ex-husband Martin Platt – was due to return to the show, but he recently “stepped down for personal reasons”.
Speaking of John’s cobbles comeback, a source told The Sun newspaper: “So many new departure storylines for Gail were mooted but they were set on a love interest one – which proved tricky as she buried five of her six ex-husbands.
“And the remaining living one, Martin, was obviously axed in real life.
“They wanted a recognisable name and plumped for John as his character was popular with viewers and a real blast from the past.”
Over the years, Gail has regularly clashed with Eileen Grimshaw, who Jesse dated during his time in Weatherfield.
The source added: “Obviously his character, Jesse, had a doomed fling with Eileen, so they thought having him come back onto the cobbles and flirt with Eileen’s frenemy would be both funny and a fantastic final fling.
“Of course, it would also leave the door open for Gail’s return one day should she ever fancy a special cameo.”
In June, ‘Corrie’ announced Helen will step down from her role as Gail at the end of the year after 50 years on the cobbles.
Actor and cheesemaker Sean was then expected to return as Martin – who he first played from 1985 to 2005 – as part of Helen’s departure plot, and just last month the star admitted he was “looking forward” to reuniting with his ‘Corrie’ family.
He said in a statement: “It was great to be invited back to [‘Coronation Street’] again, to contribute to Helen’s exit story.
“We’ll have a few months to catch up with Martin and Gail again, following the ebbs and flows of the unfolding storyline.
“Playing Martin has been a joy since day one and in a way, I’ll be slipping back to where I left off, which no doubt will throw a spanner into the heart of the Platt family.
“It’s just like slipping on an old and comfortable jumper from the back of the wardrobe … I’m looking forward to reuniting with my TV family.”
However, he has since stepped down.

OHMYGOSSIP — Tommy Fury and Molly-Mae Hague have reportedly stepped up their security in the aftermath of their split.
The couple – who finished as runners-up during the 2019 series of ITV2 reality dating show ‘Love Island’ – shocked fans last week when they called off their engagement after five years together and a new report suggests they are now travelling with bodyguards after boxer Tommy was heckled during a day out with their young daughter Bambi.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “Molly-Mae and Tommy have both got security watching over them. It sounds extreme but there has been a massive public reaction to their split.
“Molly-Mae’s fans are very angry with Tommy and he has been heckled in public. Given they have a young daughter, neither of them are taking any chances.”
News of the split prompted wild online speculation about the reasons behind the decision to part ways and a representative for Tommy insisted the reality star/boxer is aghast over “false” claims suggesting he cheated.
They told The Mirror newspaper: “Tommy is horrified by the false allegations of cheating being circulated by the media and he’s consulting his lawyers.”
Influencer Molly-Mae – who gave birth to the couple’s daughter Bambi last year – confirmed the split in an emotional statement posted on Instagram, writing: “Never in a million years did I think I’d ever have to write this.
“After five years of being together, I never imagined our story would end, especially not this way.
“I am extremely upset to announce that mine and Tommy’s relationship has come to an end. I will forever be grateful for the most important thing to me now and always, my beautiful daughter.

OHMYGOSSIP — Stephen Webb didn’t “follow up” a potential return to ‘Gogglebox’.
The 53-year-old star quit the show in 2023 alongside his then-husband and fellow hairdresser Daniel Lustig-Webb – who Stephen has since split from – and he admitted producers of Channel 4 show were keen to have him back on the box after a nasty injury in training ruled him out of competing in this year’s ‘Dancing on Ice’.
He is quoted by the Daily Star newspaper as saying: “A while back I was in training to do ‘Dancing on Ice’ and broke my ankle, so I had to pull out.
“Gogglebox’s producers got in touch and said, ‘As you haven’t don’t any other shows, you could come back to ‘Gogglebox’ if you want.’
“But I never followed it up.”
However, Stephen admitted he would “never say never” about a ‘Gogglebox’ return.
Speaking to Hello! magazine, he said: “I’d been on it for 10 years and I did start to feel a bit like Ken Barlow.
“But if they were to do a Christmas special and asked me back, I’d definitely do it.”
While Stephen is yet to return to ‘Gogglebox’ – which he appeared on from 2013 to 2023 – he is to star in this year’s ‘Celebs Go Dating’ after he and Daniel announced their split earlier this year after six years of marriage.
He said on the ‘My Dirty Laundry’ podcast: “We had a really good innings.
“It was really good for a really long time and then it kind of petered off, and then we kind of decided the best thing was to end as friends.
“We’re work colleagues, and partners at work as well, and our basis of our relationship has always been friendship as well.”

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘The Gentlemen’ is to return for a second series.
Kaya Scodelario and Theo James are to reprise their roles as Susie Glass and Eddie Horniman respectively for another run of the Guy Ritchie’s hit Netflix drama.
Daniel Ings – who plays Eddie’s brother Freddy – will also return for an eight-episode second series of ‘The Gentlemen’.
Guy will be back to direct the second season, and he will co-write it alongside Matthew Read.
The first series saw Theo’s character Eddie become the new Duke of Halstead following his father’s death.
Unbeknown to him at first, he also inherited an illegal cannabis farm located underneath his family’s estate.
This is run by ruthless Susie – who is portrayed by former ‘Skins’ star Kaya – and her crime boss father Bobby Glass, who is played by Ray Winstone.
Speaking about series two, Kaya said: “It’d be fun to see the business spread a bit more.
“How do they take it to the next level? They’re very adamant about not getting into the chop game, so how do they then continue to build the empire? Where does that take them? How does the new structure of the business work practically?”
Theo added: “I think they’ve grown to love each other in their own way, but I think they’ll never fully trust each other because they are so different and they’re from such vastly different worlds.
“There’s a love between them, but ultimately they will never be from the same cloth.”
Filming for ‘The Gentlemen’ series two is due to get underway next year.

OHMYGOSSIP — Molly-Mae Hague is being supported by friend Anouska Santos following her split from Tommy Fury.
The 25-year-old reality TV star took to Instagram on Wednesday (14.08.24) to reveal she and the 25-year-old boxer – who have 19-month-old daughter Bambi together – have called off their engagement and gone their separate ways.
Following the pair’s split, accessories brand owner Anouska – who is dating England footballer Luke Shaw – is said to have been a “great support” to Molly-Mae.
A friend told The Sun newspaper: “Anouska is like a rock for Molly and she was there with her today when she pressed post on her split statement.
“Molly wanted a steady hand by her side and Anouska has been a great support to her.
“She has told Molly that she will always be there to help and has offered to help out with Bambi at the drop of a hat.”
Molly announced she and Tommy – who she met on the 2019 series of ‘Love Island’, and finished runners-up on the ITV2 dating show – had broken up in an emotional statement this week.
She wrote: “Never in a million years did I think I’d ever have to write this.

OHMYGOSSIP — Paul Chuckle is in talks to appear in ‘Celebrity Big Brother’.
The 76-year-old comedian – whose real name is Paul Elliott – was expected to star in this year’s ‘CBB’ series, but it is thought he was “dropped” from the line-up.
However, he could now appear in ITV’s second-ever ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ series next year.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “After Louis and Kate Middleton’s ‘Uncle Gary’ Goldsmith were booked, the cast was skewed a little in terms of age. So Paul was dropped.
“It’s early days as the ‘Big Brother’ team is still busy with October’s ‘civilian series’ but Paul’s name is in the mix for the celeb version in March.”
Paul is best known for being one half of the Chuckle Brothers alongside late brother Barry Elliott, who passed away in 2018 aged 73.
The pair starred in children’s TV show ‘ChuckleVision’, which aired from 1987 to 2019.
Paul previously dropped a huge hint that he had been in talks for this year’s ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ series, which was won by ‘Ibiza Weekender’ star David Potts.
He said: “They decided against it for some reason, but I’m still hoping for next year.
“You know, I do like these types of shows.
“Barry and I won the first ‘Celebrity Coach Trip’. We were on that, I think, 2012, something like that, we did it. And we won that.
“That was real good fun. Really enjoyed that. So any of these kinds of shows, yeah, I love them.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Jeremy Clarkson has revealed his new pub will open next week, as he reassured those who don’t receive the A-Level results they want not to “worry”.
The ‘Clarkson’s Farm’ star continued his annual tradition of reassuring teenagers on A-Level results day, by boasting on Thursday (15.08.24) that he now owns his own boozer, despite only being awarded one C and two Us in his results.
He wrote on X: “Don’t worry if your A level results aren’t what you were hoping for. I got a C and two Us, and here I am, 46 years later, with my own pub.”
Jeremy also used the message to advertise the fact that his Cotswolds pub, The Windmill, will be open for business next week, and he encouraged people to drop in.
He wrote: “It opens next weekend if you fancy dropping in.”
Last year, Jeremy took to social media on A-Level results day, writing: “It’s not the end of the world if your A-Level results aren’t what you’d hoped for. I got a C and two Us and here I am today with my own brewery.”
In 2016, his A-Level results day reassurance tweet received 111,000 likes, after he boasted about being on a superyacht in the Mediterranean Sea.
He posted: “If your A level results are disappointing, don’t worry. I got a C and two Us, and I’m currently on a superyacht in the Med. (sic)”
At the time, a fan asked if it was the “same yacht as last year”, and he replied: “it was a villa in St Tropez last year. Do pay attention (sic)”
Jeremy recently purchased The Windmill, which boasts five acres of land and was a picturesque wedding venue, near Burford, Oxfordshire, for “less than £1 million”.
After buying the boozer, the ‘Grand Tour’ presenter discovered there is a former dogging site nearby.
In his column for The Sunday Times newspaper, he wrote: “So I did a deal and then discovered that there was a famous dogging site in the area.
“Photographs from inside the nearby lavatories showed holes in the cubicle walls, strong pornography on the floor and evidence of enthusiastic consumption of the drugs made at the first pub I’d considered.
“So I went to see West Oxfordshire district council, expecting no help at all, and, blow me down, it was very happy to close the dogging site. So I was in business. My dream would become a reality.”
As well as this grizzly discovery, he was less than thrilled to find his new pub was plagued with plenty of other issues, including a loft “full of dead rats”.
He penned: “The cellar is too small, the gable end is falling down, the outside decking area is dangerous, the water is unfit for human consumption, the loft is full of dead rats and the lavatories are illegal.”
