Gemma Collins demands ‘Sharon Osbourne treatment’ for Big Brother return

OHMYGOSSIP — Gemma Collins would need “the Sharon Osbourne treatment” to ever return to ‘Big Brother’.
The 43-year-old reality TV star appeared on ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ in 2016 before appearing on the civilian version the following year as part of a shopping task, but it would take millions of pounds to get her to appear on the new ITV revival.
She told Closer magazine: “I’d need about £5 million and the Sharon Osbourne treatment. I think she did it beautifully.
“She got up when she wanted to get up, came out with her hair and makeup done, and her outfit put together.”
As well as a reportedly huge payday, Sharon was the show’s first ever celebrity lodger, meaning she had a limited stay in the house, and even slept in her own room while being immune from nominations.
The GC – who rose to fame on ‘The Only Way Is Essex’ – revealed she is “ready” to return to the world of reality TV after needing “a bit of a break” from living life for the cameras.
She explained: “I had a bit of a rest from it all, because I was living a reality life, not a real life.
“I had to have a bit of a break to let my own life flow. In reality TV, there’s got to be something new every day. I’ve had that time now and I’m ready to come back.”
Through her time in the public eye, Gemma has learned to “set boundaries” between what everyone else sees, and her true self.
She said: “It’s always important to set boundaries. People will always take liberties with you, and if you do put a boundary in place, you’re seen as a diva.
“But I’ve always stood my ground. People know where they are with me. You’ve just got to be really strong in this industry.
“I’m tough in showbiz, but behind closed doors… God, I’ve only got to look at my dog and I melt. I’m very different when I’m not working.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Lauren Laverne is in hospital after being diagnosed with cancer.
The BBC Radio presenter – who hosts the broadcaster’s beloved ‘Desert Island Discs’ programme – revealed she was “recently” diagnosed with the disease, but she is “expected to make a full recovery”.
Sharing a photo from hospital on Instagram, she wrote: “Right then, some personal news… I recently had a cancer diagnosis.
“It was (thank God) caught early and unexpectedly during a screening test and I am expected to make a full recovery.”
Lauren, 46, went onto thank the medical staff who have been taking care of her “with incredible skill and kindness”, as well as her loved ones for their “extraordinary” support.
She continued: “I’m in hospital at the moment and wanted to take this moment to say thank you: Firstly to the medical teams who have got me this far with incredible skill and kindness.
“To my family and friends who have been absolutely extraordinary every step of the way – I am so very grateful and love you so much.
“And of course thank you to my colleagues – including those at @itg_ltd, @bbc6music, @bbctheoneshow and #DesertIslandDiscs for their support – and for giving me the time off that I need to get better.”
She urged anyone who might be “putting off an appointment” to get themselves checked to try and catch any potential illness in its early stages.
She added: “I also want to say that if you’re avoiding a test or putting off an appointment to get yourself checked out please, please do it today.
“Half of us will get cancer at some point, and if you do, finding out asap is everything.
“It’s usually my job to bring the good vibes on air but any you have to spare are very much welcome here.
“Sending loads of love to anyone in a similar boat, or who has made it back to shore. xxx”

Rylan Clark picked up some tips on Dating Naked UK

OHMYGOSSIP — Rylan Clark picked up “a few” dating tips while filming ‘Dating Naked UK’.
The ‘This Morning’ presenter has revealed he got some pointers while fronting the new Paramount+ reality series – which will arrive on the streaming service on Friday (23.08.24) and sees a load of singles in their birthday suits looking for love – after finding himself as a “single guy” following his divorce from Dan Neal in 2021.
The 35-year-old television personality told Digital Spy: “It was really interesting because obviously I’m a single guy.
“So watching – and not only just watching – but studying as the host how people date now is quite new to me.
“I’ve not dated for such a long time so, I mean I picked up a few little lines, shall we say.”
When it comes to the new show, Ryan suggested that a real “connection” was fostered between the couples because everyone is “so bare”.
He said: “There’s this connection that just happens in the series that because they’re naked, I mean you can never be that raw, you’re so bare – physically and mentally – that you have no choice but to get to know the person.
“You know when you meet someone in a bar, or you’re dating someone, you have that sort of play up of ‘Oh, I can’t wait to see them without their clothes on’, but that element is gone.”
The former ‘The X Factor’ star mused how the show “feels raw” and vulnerable due to the lack of clothes, but “not sexual”.
Rylan added: “And it’s not sexual, the show doesn’t feel sexualised because these people are naked, it just feels raw and that in turn builds better connections.”
And the ‘Celebrity Gogglebox’ star admitted his mother Linda is “definitely” is a fan of the show “already”.
He said: “Yeah, Linda will definitely watch it, 100 per cent. Probably shouldn’t say this, she’s already seen a couple of episodes and she loves it.”

Ferne McCann ‘signs up for Dancing On Ice’

OHMYGOSSIP — Ferne McCann has reportedly signed up for ‘Dancing On Ice’.
The 34-year-old reality TV star is said to be the first name set to take part in the upcoming series of ITV’s celebrity figure skating competition, which was won earlier this year by ‘Coronation Street’ actor Ryan Thomas.
An insider told The Sun newspaper’s TVBiz column: “It’s been a rough few years for Ferne but she has always been an ITV star, with her roots on ‘TOWIE’ and then with her first steps into the mainstream on ‘I’m A Celebrity’ in 2015.
“So Dancing on Ice will be a chance for her to knuckle down, work hard and win over the public.”
In 2022, she faced backlash over leaked audio of her seemingly criticising the victims of her acid attacker ex-boyfriend Arthur Collins, while she later apologised for the comments and said they were “manipulated, edited and taken entirely out of context”.
Earlier this year, Ferne hit out at the “mum police” for slamming her decision to embrace breastfeeding.
She has daughters Sunday, six, with former partner Arthur and 13-month-old Finty with fiancé Lorri Haines, and previously insisted that there is nothing “attention-seeking” about the act of breastfeeding a baby in public.
She told OK! Magazine: “I’m not anti-formula. In fact, I gave Sunday formula after I stopped breastfeeding her. What is so important is that mothers have a choice – it’s not for everyone and that’s OK.
“It grows resilience and I love the warmth of snuggling up to my baby and feeding her from my body. It blows my mind. I’ve had a few comments saying, ‘All feeding is the best.’ I think it’s whatever is best for the mother and the baby.
“Lots of people think you are attention-seeking, but you’re not. It’s literally capturing a moment of motherhood.
“For me, it [breastfeeding] has given me complete joy, peace and gratitude. I think, especially with motherhood, people online can be opinionated, which is fine. I’ve said before, I welcome the mum police in. It really doesn’t bother me.”

Tim Burton wanted to keep Beetlejuice ‘politically incorrect’ in the sequel

OHMYGOSSIP — Tim Burton was determined to keep Michael Keaton’s Beetlejuice as “politically incorrect” as possible in ‘Beetlejuice Beetlejuice’.
The sequel sees the 72-year-old star reprise his role as the titular character and the 65-year-old director wanted to ensure the foul-mouthed ghost hadn’t changed at all since the 1988 original film.
He told Collider: “I think Michael and I both love the fact that he was politically incorrect then, and he’s politically incorrect now. I’m just laughing because somebody asked him the other day, ‘Michael, how does Beetlejuice’s character evolve?’ And we just started laughing because he doesn’t evolve — that’s the whole point!”
Keaton – who stars alongside Winona Ryder, Jenna Ortega, Monica Bellucci and Willem Dafoe in the upcoming picture – added the sequel would also include a lot of “big swings” but said that the cast and crew had to be “a tiny, tiny, tiny bit more politically correct” when compared to its predecessor.
He explained: “There was a lot of [big swings] in the first one. It was like one gigantic big swing. Less so now because we knew we could get away with more.
“It’s weird, we had to be a tiny, tiny, tiny, bit more politically correct, but we didn’t even think about that too much. A couple of times, we went, ‘Yeah, maybe not,’ and then we went right up to it.”
The ‘Batman’ star also admitted he was somewhat apprehensive about returning as Beetlejuice, though insisted he had full faith in Burton making a worthy sequel.
He said: “With filmmaking, you’ve got to keep up a level of energy and pace and focus, and I didn’t know what the vibe was gonna be or the process was gonna be. We shot in this little studio down at Culver City, a cool, legendary kind of place. I think they made some silent movies on some of these stages.
“But when I went over there, you don’t know how it’s gonna work or what the pace of things is gonna be. I didn’t know.
“So, I just went in saying, ‘Well, I’m just gonna do what we did the first time as close as I can.’ Tim had already seen it; it was just totally clear in his head.”

Todd Phillips suggests that Joker: Folie à Deux won’t get a sequel

OHMYGOSSIP — Todd Phillips has hinted ‘Joker: Folie à Deux’ will be the final film in the franchise.
The 53-year-old director and Joaquin Phoenix, 49 – who plays the maniacal criminal – were happy to return for the upcoming sequel but the filmmaker has revealed there likely won’t be any more follow-up flicks because the team feel like they’ve explored all that the world has to offer.
He told Variety: “It was fun to play in this sort of sandbox for two movies, but I think we’ve said what we wanted to say in this world.”
Phillips added the prospect of making a sequel “scared the s***” out of him, because he felt it would be hard to surpass the original film from 2019 – which grossed over $1 billion at the box office and earned Phoenix the Academy Award for Best Actor.
He explained: “The question became, ‘how can we top ourselves?’ And you can only do that if you do something dangerous.
“But there were days on set where you’d look around and think, ‘Holy f****** s***! What did we do?’”
The upcoming movie – which follows the criminally insane Arthur Fleck (Phoenix) as he falls madly in love with Lady Gaga’s Arkham Asylum music therapist Lee, a version of DC Comics’ Harley Quinn – differs from the original as it is a musical instead of a dark psychological thriller.
The 38-year-old singer and actress said the director had taken a “very big swing” to give the sequel such a major tonal and conceptual shift from the first film.
She explained: “Todd took a very big swing with this whole concept and with the script, giving the sequel to ‘Joker’ this audacity and complexity.
“There’s music, there’s dance, it’s a drama, it’s also a courtroom drama, it’s a comedy, it’s happy, it’s sad. It’s a testament to [Phillips] as a director, that he would rather be creative than just tell a traditional story of love.”
Lady Gaga will be taking on a role that was previously played by Margot Robbie in the ‘Suicide Squad’ movies and Todd explained he wanted the new take on the character to feel distinctive and appropriate for the gritty world that was first seen in the original picture.
He said: “The high voice, that accent, the gum chewing and all that sort of sassy stuff that’s in the comics, we stripped that away. We wanted her to fit into this world of Gotham that we created from the first movie.”

Paddy McGuinness reacts to Freddie Flintoff’s return after Top Gear crash

OHMYGOSSIP — Paddy McGuinness is glad to see Freddie Flintoff “back and better” after his ‘Top Gear’ crash.
The 46-year-old TV star stepped away from the spotlight after sustaining facial injuries and broken ribs in the 2022 accident, which ultimately led to the BBC shelving the iconic motoring show, being shelved, before returning for a second run of his ‘Field of Dreams’ docu-series.
Opening up on his pal and former co-host’s telly return Paddy, 52, told ITV’s ‘Good Morning Britain’: “When we did ‘Top Gear’, we’re that close because you’re together all the time going around the world so you have a real bond.
“Seeing him do stuff like that, it’s so good to see him back and better.”
However, he remained coy about the future of the programme, but he thinks the situation “will all get sorted” one day.
He said: “I sound like a politician now.
“I can’t really get into the ins and outs of it because there’s all stuff still going on with ‘Top Gear’ and what have you, so at some point it will all get sorted.”
Retired cricket legend Freddie has admitted he “should not be here” after his horror crash.
In an emotional home video recording in the aftermath of the accident and later featured in ‘Fields of Dreams on Tour’, he said: “I am struggling already and I need help. I really am. I’m not the best at asking for it. I need to stop crying every two minutes.
“I genuinely should not be here after what happened. It’s going to be a long road back and I’ve only just started.
“I’ve got to look at the positives, I’ve got another chance, and I’m going to go at it. I’m seeing that as how it is – a second go.”

Luana Santos leaves Coronation Street after just one year

OHMYGOSSIP — Luana Santos has left ‘Coronation Street’ after one year.
The 18-year-old actress joined the cobbles as new character Sabrina Abetiba, the girlfriend of Max Turner (Patrick Bever), in June 2023 but has now exited the ITV soap, and will be attending drama school.
She wrote on a behind-the scenes picture posted to her Instagram Story: “Last day with Corrie… thanks for everything @coronationstreet.
“Drama school here I come.”
Details of Sabrina’s final storyline are yet to be revealed.
Her exit comes after the “sudden” departure of Martin Platt actor Sean Wilson, after the 59-year-old actor had originally been planned for a Weatherfield return as part of Helen Worth’s final stint playing Gail Platt, a role she held for 50 years.
Luana – who began her time on ‘Coronation Street’ credited as Bec because the audience and Max were led to believe she was the sister of Gav Adetiba (Noah Olaoye) – previously opened up about her “surprise” at getting the gig when she first appeared on the show.
Back in June 2023, she told Wigan Today: “As a kid, I was always a performing type of character so I suppose I always knew that acting was something I’d do in the future.
“Initially I started voice acting through Little Projects online and once I joined college that was mostly TV and theatre, and that’s when I got my agent through college.
“Once I got my agency, it was my first self-tape that I got around February and it was for the role of Bec and I ended up landing it as my first job.
“I was so surprised because I was panicking about everything I did in the self-tape, I was criticising myself constantly. I thought ‘it’s my first one, I’m obviously not going to get it’ and when I got the email I was in college. It was a huge shock.”

Sven-Goran Eriksson wants to be remembered as ‘a good man’

OHMYGOSSIP — Sven-Goran Eriksson would like to be remembered as “a good man”.
The former England manager – who was diagnosed with terminal pancreatic cancer back in January and given less than a year to live under the “best case” scenario – has revealed how he would like to be remembered after he passes away in the new Amazon Prime series ‘Sven’, which explores his feelings about his life and mortality in his native Sweden.
In an emotional farewell message in the documentary, the 76-year-old football coach says: “I had a good life. I think we are all scared of the day when we die, but life is about death as well. You have to accept it for what it is.
“Hopefully at the end people will say, he was a good man but everyone will not say that. I hope you will remember me as a positive guy trying to do everything he could do.
“Don’t be sorry, smile. Thank you for everything, coaches, players, the crowds. It’s been fantastic. Take care of yourself and take care of your life. And live it. Bye.”
Elsewhere in the film, Sven looks back at his life and family on a trip to Fryken lake near his hometown of Sunne in the Scandinavian country.
While standing at the body of water, he ponders: “Beautiful place, it makes you calm. It make me calm. Below the mountain there my father grew up.
“Straight ahead, that is Thornsby where I grew up. And Sunne where I was born.
“I always thought it’s a great place to sleep. The ashes could be thrown into the water here. It feels like home.”
The ex KB Karlskoga footballer previously dated former ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ and ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ star Nancy Dell’Olio, and has been with partner Yaniseth Bravo, 54, for 15 years.
In the programme – which also features comments from players he has coached such as David Beckham, 49, Wayne Rooney, 38, Roberto Mancini, 59, and Kasper Schmeichel, 37 – Sven opens up on coming to terms with his illness and treatment.
He adds: “Life is not 100 per cent. I’ve had many injections for many months, now they [doctors] changed it to taking pills.
“It is a lot of big effects on the throat and the nose, but that is part of it and I can live with that. But I know life will not last forever. But I am OK.”

Richard Osman would fight Jake Paul for 100 million pounds

OHMYGOSSIP — Richard Osman would fight Jake Paul for $100 million.
The ‘House of Games’ host made the admission while he was chatting about the 25-year-old boxer Tommy Fury – who is the younger brother of Tyson Fury, 36 – and his recent split from his ‘Love Island’ girlfriend Molly-Mae Hague, and claimed the 25-year-old boxer’s recent fight with the likes of 27-year-old YouTuber Jake and KSI, 31, is “pretend boxing”.
Speaking on his ‘The Rest Is Entertainment’ podcast – which he co-hosts with 50-year-old newspaper columnist Marina Hyde – the 53-year-old broadcaster said: “He didn’t make a lot of the actual boxing.
“He made a lot of the pretend boxing with KSI and Jake Paul. If I say pretend boxing, maybe Jake Paul will call me out.
“You know what? One night in Vegas with Jake Paul, just, you know… Hit me for 100 million, I’ll do it.”
Richard admitted his confidence comes from his height, although he expects the fighter would “beat” him if they did get in the ring.
He quipped: “Yeah, I’m 6ft7, mate. I could take him, no, I think Jake Paul would beat me in a fight. I think he would.
“But you know, a couple of million. I’d be happy to do that. Yeah.”
The former ‘Pointless’ co-host made the comments while discussing Tommy and Molly’s breakup after they met on the ITV1 reality dating competition in 2019.
Molly-Mae wrote On Instagram: “Never in a million years did I think I’d ever have to write this. After five years of being together I never imagined our story would end, especially not this way.
“I am extremely upset to announce that mine and Tommy’s relationship has come to an end.”
The ex PrettyLittleThing executive added that she “will forever be grateful for the most important thing to me now and always, my beautiful daughter”, 20-month-old Bambi.
Molly-Mae, 25, said: “Without us there would be no her, she will always be my priority”.
Tommy issued his own statement, writing on the social media platform: “The last five years have led us to having our beautiful baby girl, Bambi and I will be forever thankful to Molly for making me a day. Bambi is our priority.”

Fede Alvarez revealed that horror final scene in Alien: Romulus didn’t impress Disney

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Alien: Romulus’ director Fede Álvarez got pushback from Disney for the movie’s final horrifying scene.
In the sequence, a fatally injured Kay (Isabella Merced) injects herself with Xenomorph DNA in an attempt to cure herself, but the genetic material is passed on to her unborn baby, which creates a human/alien hybrid – known as the ‘Offspring’ – which viciously bursts out of her stomach and begins feeding from the terrified space explorer and the filmmaker has now revealed the studio was initially hesitant to allow the scene because executives thought it could be “too much” for viewers to stomach.
He told The Hollywood Reporter: “They asked me about many things in ‘Don’t Breathe’ and the blood rain in ‘Evil Dead’ and were like, ‘How can we even do that? How are we going to do all that stuff?’
“So when I get pushback, that’s really when I go, ‘Okay, that’s good. We’re on track. The studio is pushing back on it.’ And they did [push back] at the beginning [regarding the ‘Offspring’], but not because they didn’t like it.
“They just thought, ’Is it too much? Do we really have to go there?’And I was like, ‘Yeah, now that you said that we shouldn’t, I know that I will.’
“So that’s exactly what we did here. If you’re given an ‘Alien’ movie by a corporation that is owned by Disney and they immediately say, ‘Yeah, let’s make it,’ then you are failing somehow. So we really pushed it to the limit, and I’m glad we did.”
The director – who wrote the movie with Rodo Sayagues – added that his style of bringing a “fourth act” to a film fits well with the horror/sci-fi franchise and pointed to previous entries in the ‘Alien’ series that included an unexpected additional sequence after audiences are led to believe the story had concluded.
He explained: “All my movies have a fourth act. It’s the way we write. There’s a moment where the movie feels like it’s over, and then there’s a fourth act, which is fitting because ‘Alien’ has a fourth act as well.
“You could even argue that ‘Aliens’ has a bit of a fourth act with its last set piece. It’s when you think it’s all done and the movie could have ended, but it just gives you a last set piece that tends to go to really extreme places.”

‘Let’s get Victor von Doom right’: Robert Downey Jr. tells the story behind Marvel return

OHMYGOSSIP — Robert Downey Jr. has revealed that conversations about his Marvel return to play Doctor Doom started a year ago.
The 59-year-old actor left the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) after Iron Man died in 2019’s ‘Avengers: Endgame’, but has been confirmed to return to the franchise as the Fantastic Four villain in Joe and Anthony Russo’s upcoming films ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ and ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’, and has now detailed the story of how Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige pitched the new role to him and his wife Susan Downey.
During an appearance on ‘The Hollywood Reporter’s Awards Chatter’ podcast, he recalled: “Susan and I were sitting down with Feige at one point, and he said, ‘It just keeps occurring to me that, if you were to come back…’ And Susan was like, ‘Wait, wait, come back as what?’
“And then we both realized, over time, that it was another thing that just disproves any doubt anyone could ever have about that guy.
“[Feige is] a very sophisticated, creative thinker about, ‘How can we not go backwards? How can we not disappoint expectations? How can we continue to beat expectations?’
“And he brought up Victor von Doom, and I looked into [the] character, and I was like, ‘Wow.’ And later on, he goes, ‘Let’s get Victor von Doom right. Let’s get that right.’”
After the actor realised he wanted to play the villain, Downey Jr. and Feige went to Disney CEO Bob Iger’s house to pitch the idea and found that the executive was a big fan of the plans.
The ‘Oppenheimer’ star recounted: “So then I said to Kevin, ‘Can I go talk to Bob Iger?’ He goes, ‘About?’ I go, ‘About everything.’
“We go to Iger’s pad, and we sit down and start saying, ‘I just really want to be…’ He goes, ‘I like it.’ I was like, ‘He likes it.’
“He goes, ‘Come by the Imagineering campus.’ Feige and I go to the Imagineering campus and — you want to talk about two guys that are not easy to have their minds blown, let alone at the same time.
“I can’t say too much about it, but what is going on there right now is so beyond my expectation of what was possible.”

Jeff Brazier ‘doubled down’ on his parental responsibilities

OHMYGOSSIP — Jeff Brazier “doubled down” on his parental responsibilities after Jade Goody passed away.
The reality TV star died from cervical cancer in March 2009, aged 27, and Jeff – who had Bobby, 21, and Freddie, 19, with Jade – subsequently put even more focus on his parenting.
Jeff, 45, said on the latest episode of ‘Celebrity Race Across The World’: “I think when the boys lost their mum I really doubled down on putting all of my time, effort, attention, focus on my children.
“I needed to be there, helping them to navigate whatever the future was going to look like for them given their loss. And I’m still playing that role.
“But yeah the more Fred does for himself, I know that he can start to push on in life.”
Jeff admitted that he’s often been “too serious” with his children.
However, he hopes that will change in the coming months and years.
The TV star – who was in a relationship with Jade between 2002 and 2004 – shared: “It’s hard to switch off and sometimes I think I’m being too serious.
“Just everything is my responsibility, and it has been for such a long time, because I think as a man you probably don’t rate your chances of coping, so you do what comes naturally to you which is to take all the responsibility and just focus on the situation.
“I have absolutely 100 percent lost the ability to play, but I think that it’s something that I need to regain. I think I need Freddie to show me really, and I need to get back to … I need to get back to what I used to be. I’m sure that’s possible.”

Ant and Dec to star in ‘fun’ one-off ITV travel show alongside ‘nervous’ Stephen Mulhern

OHMYGOSSIP — Ant and Dec will star in a new travel show alongside longtime friend Stephen Mulhern.
ITV has confirmed ‘The Accidental Tourist’ will see the ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ co-hosts send their pal to Asia to “broaden his horizons”, but the ‘Deal or No Deal’ presenter admitted the programme is like the “world’s worst bucket list”.
A synopsis reads: “‘Catchphrase’ and ‘Deal or No Deal’ host Stephen is a man who likes what he knows – and that does not include travelling to exotic locations, trying new foods or being pushed out of his comfort zone in any way.
“But now Stephen has asked Ant Dec to help him finally change his ways… and they have decided to send their good friend to Asia to broaden his horizons.”
The one-off special is expected to see Stephen “encounter epic locations, exotic cultures and cuisines, incredible people and places and exhilarating activities”, which he wouldn’t have chosen himself.
Ant admitted the show will be “a lot of fun” for him and Dec, but “not so much for Stephen”, while Dec added: “We can’t wait to send Stephen off on his exotic journey of self-discovery and see what he uncovers.”
Stephen is “nervous” about trying new foods and drinks in Asia, because he’s never even had a cup of coffee before.
He said: “Travelling and adventure have never been on my list of favourite things … so to say I’m nervous would be a huge understatement!
“This project sort of feels like the world’s worst bucket list.
“There are lots of things I love in life, just as much as there are things I don’t like; fancy food, exotic places, and even the sound of the cutlery scraping on the food tins on ‘I’m A Celebrity’ can tip me over the edge!
“I’ve never even had a cup of coffee … so don’t get me started on avocado! In this case, I can’t help but feel I’m going to be facing them all! I like to have a lot of laughs during the shows I present, but I’ve got a sense you’ll be seeing a lot more emotions than just laughter on this journey! I hope you enjoy it and please wish me luck!”
‘The Accidental Tourist’ is to be broadcast on ITV1 and ITVX in 2025.

Jack Black and Paul Rudd ‘in early discussions’ for Anaconda reimagining

OHMYGOSSIP — Jack Black and Paul Rudd are said to be in early talks to star in a reimagining of ‘Anaconda’.
The cult classic 1997 horror movie initially featured Ice Cube, Jennifer Lopez, Jon Voight, Eric Stoltz, Jonathan Hyde, and Owen Wilson, but Black and Rudd are in discussions about a new version helmed and co-written by ‘The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent’ director Tom Gormican.
The original movie told the story of a documentary film crew in the Amazon rainforest who were led by a snake hunter, who was hunting a legendary green anaconda.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, sources revealed the new version could see a group of friends head to the rainforest to remake a favourite film from their younger years, only for giant snakes, violent criminals and natural disasters to risk their lives.
Black and Rudd are expected to portray either an actor whose Hollywood dreams are slipping further away from him, or a director-turned-wedding videographer.
Sources told Deadline that the new story will “lean more toward comedy”, but will feature the same snake from the first movie “front and centre”.
While Rudd and Black are yet to sign up for the motion picture, talks about the film are said to have been going on for “some time”.
In 1997, ‘Anaconda’ grossed $136 million at the worldwide box office from a $45 million budget.
While it was largely panned by critics, receiving a 41 per cent rating on movie and TV review site Rotten Tomatoes, the film spawned several sequels, including ‘Anacondas: The Hunt for the Blood Orchid,’ and direct-to-video releases ‘Anaconda 3: Offspring’, ‘Anacondas: Trail of Blood’, and ‘Lake Placid vs. Anaconda’, a 2015 crossover with crocodile franchise ‘Lake Placid’.

Jenna Ortega didn’t hesitate to join Beetlejuice Beetlejuice

OHMYGOSSIP — Jenna Ortega didn’t have any hesitations about joining the cast of ‘Beetlejuice Beetlejuice’.
The 21-year-old actress stars in the new movie alongside the likes of Michael Keaton, Winona Ryder, and Catherine O’Hara, and Jenna relished the experience of reuniting with ‘Wednesday’ director Tim Burton, too.
Jenna – who plays Wednesday Addams on the hit Netflix series – told ‘Extra’: “[Tim] threw me off. It was in Malibu … we were talking about ‘Wednesday’, gives me the ‘Beetlejuice’ script.
“I went, ‘Oh, okay, right-right, cool. Thank you very much.’ Left. Got in my car, pulled over ten minutes into the drive on the side of Pacific Coast Highway … I just read the entire thing.”
Jenna knew “pretty much” immediately that she wanted to join the project.
Meanwhile, Michael Keaton – Jenna’s ‘Beetlejuice Beetlejuice’ co-star – recently heaped praise on the actress, describing her as a “really special” talent.
The 72-year-old actor revealed that he relished the experience of working with Jenna on the new movie.
Speaking to ‘Entertainment Tonight’, Michael – who starred in the original ‘Beetlejuice’ movie back in 1988 – said: “Oh man, she’s good, she’s just got it, you know? She’s got the tone.
