Jack Keating denies Coco Lodge romance

OHMYGOSSIP — Jack Keating has denied a romance with Coco Lodge.
The 23-year-old son of singer Ronan Keating insisted that despite being spotted getting cosy with former ‘Love Island’ castmate Coco, 27, the pair are not seeing each other.
He told the Mirror: “Nothing’s going on, just a bit of friendly banter. We’re just friends. I only got to meet her for the first time on Monday (01.08.22) [when the wrap party took place] but she’s a lovely girl. So we’ll see, we’ll see.
“All the Casa girls that I didn’t meet before are gorgeous – it was really nice to get to meet them as well. I’m really close with Mollie and Jazmine. We’ve got a little group chat with me and all the lads so it was nice to meet everybody properly, too.”
Jack failed to turn any heads when he arrived in Casa Amor but previously insisted he has no regrets about taking part in the show.
He said: “Just before I walked in, I felt fine but as soon as we sat down and started chatting to everybody I was like, ‘oh my days — I can’t believe I’m here’.
“It’s bittersweet to be honest. I had a great time there – I met some great guys and it was nice getting to know the girls. It just went up a bit too fast. As we were getting into it, it wrapped up. But I had a really great time, a great couple of days so no complaints!”
And Ronan, 45, who shares Jack and daughters Missy, 21, and Ali, 16 with former wife Yvonne Connolly, admitted he was a mess when Jack was on the show.
He said: “I’m a mess, I’m an absolute mess.”
Ronan admitted that everyone at home – including his wife and Jack’s step-mum Storm Uechtritz, 40, and their two little ones, five-year-old son Cooper and two-year-old daughter Coco – felt Jack’s absence.
He added: “I mean Storm is doing better than I am. We all miss him in the house, we really do, little brother Cooper and his little sister Coco and Missy, we all miss him.
“His [first] episode, he seemed a little bit quiet, he seemed a little bit nervous, which is understandable I guess. I’m just worried about him in there with those other guys.”

Freida Pinto didn’t think she’d ever star in period drama

OHMYGOSSIP — Freida Pinto “never thought it was possible” for her to star in a period drama.
The 37-year-old actress stars in ‘Mr Malcolm’s List’ as Selina Dalton, a young woman in 1800s England who helps her friend to get revenge on a suitor when she fails to meet his requirements for a potential bride and she attributes the success of Netflix’s ‘Bridgerton’ to allow people to “broaden their minds” to diversity in casting.
Speaking about the film – which she first saw a script for four years ago – she said: “I thought, ‘You don’t see brown people falling in love in period movies – what’s the catch?’
“I’ve always dreamed of being a part of a project like this, but I never thought it was actually going to be possible in my lifetime, or even next…. [but then] ‘Bridgerton’ came along and immediately gave people almost permission to broaden their minds.”
The movie is influenced by more modern romantic films, including Freida’s favourite movie, ‘Notting Hill’.
She told Britain’s Marie Claire magazine: “It was all of the ’90s rom-coms: ‘Bridget Jones’s Diary’, ‘Four Weddings and a Funeral’, ‘Notting Hill’.
“Everything about [‘Notting Hill’] is just perfect, in my opinion.”
The ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ star is thankful things have changed since the early days of her career, when women of colour felt in competition with one another and so Freida’s early success was “very lonely”.
She said: “I had to be ever so grateful that I was even cast in those movies, because where were the South Asian brown girls getting lead roles in commercial hits back in the day? It was a very lonely time.
“There were so few parts for us that we were made to feel we were competing with each other. Or we just thought that there was only this much for all of us to have.
“Now it doesn’t feel so lonely. I’m so happy that the generation of actresses of colour coming up today are not feeling that much anymore.”

The 37-year-old comedian actor and presenter has been a huge fan of the show since its first season and can’t wait to join for series 20.
She said: “Since I watched the first series in 2004, I feel like every step I’ve taken in my career over the last 11 years was to be on ‘Strictly’. I cannot begin to express the emotions I am feeling, this means so much to me and my family. I’ve always watched it, apart from a brief hiatus in 2011 as I was relentlessly gigging every weekend (to try and get on ‘Strictly’). I’ve been a massive fan of the show for years. I feel like I’m watching myself in a dream and I can’t believe I’ve manifested this. Holding this in has been torture for me!”
Jayne was nominated for an Emmy award for her Amazon Prime special ‘Serious Black Jumper’ and she will star in the upcoming Take That movie ‘Greatest Days’.
She is currently performing at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe with her stand-up show ‘Men, I Can Save You’.

Jayde joins Kaye Adams, Richie Anderson, Kym Marsh and Will Mellor on the upcoming series.
Kaye is best known as a regular anchor on ITV lunchtime chat show ‘Loose Women and confirmed on Friday (05.08.22)’s show that she is “absolutely terrified” to become the latest addition to the lineup for the BBC ballroom competition following a show-stopping revelation staged by a string of professional dancers.
She said: ” It’s me! I’m absolutely terrified because I can’t dance. I could think of a million reasons not to do this. When these gorgeous dancers came on, I nearly exited from both ends of my body but I thought I might be sitting I’m 59 – I’ve always lied about my age but I’ve decided to embrace it and so I’m 60 at the end of this year and I thought ‘Why not?’ I can’t make much of a fool of myself!”
The radio host was hugged immediately by her fellow panellists Denise Welch, Sunetra Sarker and Carol McGiffin, and best friend and co-star Nadia Sawalha, who is on holiday at the moment and, appeared via video link to congratulate Kaye on the news.

Call The Midwife to ‘keep on going’

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Call The Midwife’ Heidi Thomas expects the show to “keep on going”.
Production has started on the 12th season of the programme – set in the late 1960s – with series 13 already approved by the BBC and Heidi said: “I think in principle, it could go into the 1970s.”
Speaking to Radio Times, she added: “The order of nuns on whom the Nonnatus nuns are based stay in the East End until 1976, but I think more importantly than that single historic fact is that of women’s lives and the lives of the working classes as well, because increasingly over the years we’ve written about them, which I think also brings in a fresh dynamic which is always changing.
“There are so many stories to tell, medically, socially, even emotionally, and I think we could keep on going. The proviso I would give is that at the moment we’re only commissioned for series 12, which we’re halfway through filming, and series 13, which we will make next year.
“And beyond that we don’t know what plans the BBC has, so yes we would be waiting on news from them I think.”
And she has promised that fans can expect some exciting storylines in the upcoming series.
She said: “Again, we’re looking at some very strong stories about the way society was changing at that time. And that can be as simple as ventouse delivery coming in as a sort of, improvement, or alternative, to forceps certainly.”
‘Call the Midwife’ first aired on BBC One in January 2012, with Jessica Raine, Pam Ferris, Bryony Hannah and Miranda Hart in the original cast.

Patton Oswalt’s fears for new ‘cringe’ comedy

OHMYGOSSIP — Patton Oswalt had reservations about his new “cringe” comedy.
The movie ‘I Love My Dad’ features Oswalt, 53, who catfishes his estranged son online in order to get close to him and Patton admitted he had no idea how it would be received by audiences.
He told The Hollywood Reporter: “I’m going to be honest with you, I didn’t know if this would work until I actually saw it in front of an audience. I liked watching it by myself, but it’s not until you get in front of a group of people and [can] listen to people. Yes, they laugh, but then also, [they] kind of grimace and cringe, and some people are watching it through their fingers. It just felt amazing that I was part of that.
“I had to just really go in both feet and not think about it that much. There were certain scenes that were so emotional that if I had overthought it, you would have seen me thinking about it. This sounds really weird, [but] you think acting is very technical. But a lot of times, the best thing to do is let your mind go blank.”
And, he admitted he feared it could be a “fiasco”.
He said: “There were sections of the script that I remember reading and thinking, ‘I don’t know how they’re gonna pull this off’. Like this is either going to be a success or it’ll be a fiasco. There’ll be no in-between. We’re gonna shoot for something and we’re gonna hit or we’re gonna miss it. And I love that style of filmmaking.”
The film was inspired by a real experience from writer, director and star James Morosini – who plays the son Franklin – and he revealed he wanted to be as involved as possible in his passion project.
He said: “I wanted to have as much skin in the game creatively as I possibly could. And I wanted to put every ounce of myself into the film from every direction.”

Giovanni Pernice wants male partner on Strictly Come Dancing

OHMYGOSSIP — Giovanni Pernice is “more than ready” to be partnered with a man on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The 31-year-old dancer – who won the show last year with ‘EastEnders’ actress Rose Ayling-Ellis – confirmed he is open to being part of a same-sex coupling on the Latin and ballroom contest, following 2021’s successful pairing of professional Johannes Radebe with chef John Waite.
He told The Sun on Sunday newspaper: “If the production people come to me and say ‘listen Giovanni we’d love you to be partnered with a man’, I’d say ‘yes’.
“I am more than ready to be partnered with a man.
“It would give me a chance to challenge myself with new routines, you have to think more about it.
“I love challenging myself.”
And insiders admitted Giovanni has even been thinking about how to choreograph a same-sex routine.
A source said: “Giovanni is really keen for the challenge and wants to show fans he can dance just as well with a man as with a woman.
“He is extremely competitive and already has lots of ideas for the choreography.”
A few days ago, BBC Radio 2 presenter Richie Anderson was revealed to be taking part in the upcoming series of the show and confirmed he will be dancing with another man.
He said: “This is a dream come true! I cannot wait to get in those sparkles and sequins and shimmy across the most famous dance floor in the world! ‘Strictly’ is the ultimate feel good show, as soon as I hear that iconic theme tune it’s just pure escapism.
“I’m going to have to cancel my legendary ‘Strictly’ launch night kitchen party that I throw every year, I’m sure my friends and family will understand.
“It’s also a massive honour to be part of an all-male dance partnership, it’s so important we have that inclusion on such a huge show.”

BBC want Holly Willoughby to front Gladiators reboot

OHMYGOSSIP — Holly Willoughby has reportedly been offered a “big-money deal” to host ‘Gladiators’.
The BBC are set to revive the iconic game show – which saw members of the public go up as Contenders against the resident Gladiators in a series of tough physical challenges – and because it will cost the network a “substantial amount of money” to produce, they are keen to land a big-name host in order to help pull in viewers.
And with bosses making no secret of the fact they are keen to lure the ‘This Morning’ presenter – who recently hosted ‘Freeze The Fear With Wim Hof’ for them – to work for them full time, they see Holly as the perfect choice to front the revamped show, which is being made by her husband Dan Baldwin’s production company, Hungry Bear.
A source told the Mail on Sunday newspaper: “This is the perfect scenario for the BBC. They have managed to get one of ITV’s most nostalgic programmes and there is a slot for Holly to front a massive show for them.
“The bosses at the BBC want Holly to be theirs outright. Gladiators is a Saturday night programme which will reach across generations. It might just be the answer to their lack of big entertainment shows.
“It is the BBC’s dream to have Holly hosting a big Saturday night show. Her husband is making it, so they are praying they can pull it off. All the signs are there and it looks like it will go ahead.”
‘Gladiators’ first hit screens on ITV in 1992 and ran for eight seasons before its 2000 end, with the likes of Ulrika Jonsson, John Fashanu and Jeremy Guscott taking on presenting duties.
In 2008, the show was resurrected for two seasons on Sky One, including three episodes that saw the new generation of Gladiators go up against some of the original lineup. International editions have also sprung up in countries such as Australia, the United States, Finland and South Africa.

Fidel Castro’s daughter praises James Franco casting

OHMYGOSSIP — Fidel Castro’s daughter has praised James Franco’s casting as her father in a new movie.
The ‘127 Hours’ actor – who has Latin and Portuguese heritage – will portray the former Cuban leader opposite Mia Maestro as his former lover, socialite Natalia ‘Naty’ Revuelta, and Ana Villafane as their daughter Alina Fernandez in ‘Alina of Cuba’, and the real Alina thinks producers have done a great job with casting.
She told Deadline: “[I am proud that] the project is almost entirely Latino, both in front and behind the camera.
“James Franco has an obvious physical resemblance with Fidel Castro, besides his skills and charisma.
“I find the selection of the cast amazing.
“Ana Villafañe is extraordinarily talented, and not only as an actress because she is also a great singer, a very complete performer. I’m sure that Mía Maestro, an actress I admire, will understand and interpret Naty, my mother, in a unique way and I can’t wait to see her building her character.”
Alina – who will be a biographical and historical consultant on the film – went on to praise the rest of the cast, which includes Alanna de la Rosa, Maria Cecilia Botero, Harding Junior, and Cuban-born actors Sian Chiong and Rafael Ernesto Hernandez.
She added: “The rest of the cast is going to be a wonderful surprise for all audiences.
“The filmmakers worked a lot and I can’t be more grateful to them for their overall inclusive selection.
“To me, the most important thing about this movie is that the conversation about Cuba is alive.
“Personally, the experience is so far too unexpected but more than anything, humbling.”
Written by Jose Rivera and Nilo Cruz , the movie will show the life story of Cuban exile and social campaigner Alina, who found out aged 10 she was Castro’s daughter.
She became an anti-communism activist who was arrested multiple times for her attempts to flee Cuba, and banned from travelling outside the country. She defected to Spain in 1993 and settled in Miami.

Ellie Simmonds set for Strictly

OHMYGOSSIP — Ellie Simmonds is set to take part in ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The Paralympic swimmer – who has achondroplasia, a type of dwarfism – admitted it is a “genuine privilege” to be involved with the BBC Latin and ballroom competition and although she’s “petrified” about getting on the dance floor, she can’t wait to start training.
She said: “Oh my gosh!! I’m literally bursting with excitement!!
It’s been soooo hard keeping this secret as I’ve wanted to tell everyone. I’m going on Strictly Come Dancing!! I’m a tad nervous too, well more than a tad… I’m absolutely petrified! To be asked to be part of the Strictly family is just so exciting and I cannot wait, it’s going to so much fun. I’m counting down the minutes until it starts; learning to dance, meeting my partner and everyone else involved in the show. Plus wearing the sequins and all that, It’s going to be a blast. I’ve been watching Strictly from as far back as I can remember; it’s a traditional lead up to Christmas with my family and it’s a genuine privilege to be part of it.”
The 27-year-old sportswoman previously praised 2021 ‘Strictly’ winner Rose Ayling-Ellis for representing the deaf community on the show.
She said: “There should be much more acceptance and awareness of being different.
This helps children realise disability is just a part of normal society.”
Ellie won gold medals in Beijing when she was just 13 years old and received an MBE in recognition a year later, making her the youngest-ever recipient of the honour. In 2013, it was upgraded to an OBE for services to Paralympic sport.
She retired after the 2020 Tokyo games after having added to her accomplishments with nine titles and a further 15 medals.
She has recently helped present the BBC’s coverage of the Commonwealth Games and also fronted a documentary for the network titled ‘Ellie Simmonds: A World Without Dwarfism?’.

Sheridan Smith quits Starstruck

OHMYGOSSIP — Sheridan Smith has quit ‘Starstruck’ after just one series.
The ‘Four Lives’ actress was on the judging panel for the talent show – a revamped version of ‘Stars in their Eyes’ which saw hopefuls impersonate various music icons – alongside comedian Jason Manford and singers Adam Lambert and Beverley Knight but she’s unable to sign up for any further episodes because of her commitments to filming a new acting project.
An ITV spokesperson told The Sun on Sunday newspaper: “We would have loved Sheridan to have returned to the show, but she has sadly had to decline due to scheduling conflicts with a new acting project.
“The team loved working with her.
“She was a fantastic judge and provided some invaluable feedback to the contestants.
“We wish her all the best.”
It may not come as a surprise that the ‘Pooch Perfect’ host has quit the programme because she previously admitted she wanted to shift her focus back to acting after COVID-19 restrictions were eased.
She said: “Acting will always be my passion. I did some presenting for a while and I was really grateful for those jobs because I did love them – especially ‘Pooch Perfect’ as I’m a mad dog lover.
“But I found the presenting quite nerve-wracking and I think I’ll probably do less of it now that we’re out of lockdown.”
In May 2020, the ‘Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps’ star labelled the BBC One doggie grooming show as her “dream job” and said it was “a match made in heaven”.
She said: “To combine my love of dogs with a brand new job presenting for the BBC was a match made in heaven! Everyone who knows me will understand that animals, and especially dogs are very special to me.
“I live at home with six dogs, so presenting a show dedicated to our four-legged best friends didn’t take much consideration! I’m used to being on set with lots of actors, this time I can’t wait to hang out all day with dozens of dogs. It is literally my dream job!”

Sir Peter Jackson ghosted by Rings of Power producers

OHMYGOSSIP — Sir Peter Jackson claims he was ghosted by the makers of the upcoming ‘Lord of the Rings’ prequel series.
The 60-year-old director – who helmed both the ‘Lord of the Rings’ and ‘The Hobbit’ trilogies based on J.R.R. Tolkein’s work – revealed the production team behind Amazon’s TV saga ‘The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power’ had initially contacted him about the possibility of being involved with the show but after an initial conversation, he never heard from them again.
Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter’s ‘Awards Chatter’ podcast, he said: “They asked me if I wanted to be involved — [writer-producer Fran Walsh] and I — and I said, ‘That’s an impossible question to answer without seeing a script.’ ”
But while the producers promised to sent a copy of the scripts to Peter and Fran when they were complete, nothing materialised.
Peter added: “The scripts never showed up. That’s the last thing I heard.”
But the award-winning filmmaker has “no complaints at all” about what happened and is looking forward to seeing the show when it hits screens.
He said: “I’ll be watching it. I’m not the sort of guy who wishes ill will. Filmmaking is hard enough.
“If somebody makes a good film or TV show, it’s something to celebrate. The one thing I am looking forward to is actually seeing it as a perfectly neutral viewer.”
Amazon Studios have insisted they were “obligated to keep the series distinct and separate” from Peter’s movies and they have “the utmost respect” for the director and his work.
They said in a statement: “In pursuing the rights for our show, we were obligated to keep the series distinct and separate from the films.
“We have the utmost respect for Peter Jackson and The Lord of The Rings films and are thrilled that he is looking forward to watching ‘The Rings of Power’.”

Kevin Bacon: Being scared takes work

OHMYGOSSIP — Kevin Bacon insists it “takes a lot of work” to be scared every day on a horror film shoot.
The 64-year-old actor portrays the villainous Owen Whistler in new movie ‘They/Them’ and has previously had parts in classics of the genre including ”Friday the 13th’, ‘Stir of Echoes’, ‘Tremors’, and he explained he much prefers the high stakes and physical action of such movies than “sitting around having a conversation and eating a sandwich” in a drama.
Asked why he likes making horror films, he told website Slash Film: “Well, the joy is that the stakes are so high. It’s good stuff for me to play. If you’re running for your life, or you’re trying to destroy some kind of evil force, or stabbing somebody or getting stabbed, whatever that happens to be, that’s just good stuff. That’s just stuff that you want to play.
“I’d rather be doing that than sitting around, having a conversation and eating a sandwich. Also, sometimes in horror, there’s a lot of physical stuff, which I also really like to get into. There’s not so much in ‘They/Them’.
“But it’s also, the challenge is different levels of fear because, especially if you’re a lead and you have to go through this step by step, to try to find a new way to be scared every day is really — that can be a lot of work.”
‘They/ Them’ is set in a gay conversion camp and Kevin loved the way his character slowly revealed his true self throughout the film.
He said: “Well, I think that he’s a manipulator, for one thing. He knows that group of people, they’re not there — maybe a couple of them are there because they kind of want to be there. I guess maybe the Stu character kind of wants to become more macho or whatever, but they’re also, at the very least, terrified to be there.
“He’s going to try to put them at ease as much as possible, and then see an opening, and then come in with the terror of it he ends up coming in with.
“It’s also a good exercise, because it means that if it gives me as a character development, a place to go, when you start to see just a little hint of the darkness, the anger, the fear, the dangerous nature of this character, when you see you can just put a little hint in there. And then just add a little bit more, a little bit later, and then just have it explode. It’s a fun place to go.”

Gemma Owen ‘ready to quit Love Island days before finale’

OHMYGOSSIP — Gemma Owen is ready to quit ‘Love Island’ days before its finale, one of the show’s dumped bombshells is claiming.
Lacey Edwards – who lasted only a few days in the villa after making a surprise appearance a week ago – has insisted favourite Gemma and her partner Luca are already “done” with the ITV2 dating show.
She said in a TikTok video: “With Luca and Gemma, I genuinely think they’re really in love and I think they’re almost over Love Island.
“They’ve been in there so long and they’ve really found what they’re looking for, they could happily just move out together and go back home together now.
“They’re over doing the games and challenges. With Luca, it’s playing with his head – he’s like, ‘I just want my girl and I want to get out of here now’.”
Lacey was one of four new bombshells to enter the villa last week, alongside Nathalia, Jamie and Reece.
She, Nathalia and Reece failed to make a romantic connection during their brief stint, but Jamie coupled with Danica and they left together in Wednesday night’s episode. (27.07.22)
Friday night’s show (29.07.22) will see the Islanders hit with a twist as each pairing is forced to pick the two least compatible couples, leaving the couple with least votes at risk of being ejected.
The castmates submitted their choices by text, leaving their choices secret.
Ekin-Su has been seen taking a typically fiery stand about the move in a preview of Friday’s instalment.
She told boyfriend Davide: “Let’s be real, this is not Friend Island, OK?”
While Paige tells Adam: “It’s not nice at all.”
‘Love Island’ airs at 9pm on ITV2 and ITV Hub. Episodes are available the following morning on BritBox. The dating reality show can be seen in Ireland on Virgin Media Two and Virgin Media Player.

Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu and Davide Sanclimenti voted ‘least compatible” by ‘Love Island’ castmates

OHMYGOSSIP — Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu and Davide Sanclimenti have been voted “least compatible” by their ‘Love Island’ castmates.
The pair’s fellow contestants Gemma Owen and Luca Bish are also at risk of dumping after Friday night’s episode. (29.07.22)
It came after the Islanders were forced to nominate the two couples they though were the least compatible and submit their votes via text.
Ekin-Su and Davide got four votes from their fellow couples, while Gemma and Luca received three votes.
Paige and Adam got two votes, with Tasha and Andrew emerging with one.
The only pair who weren’t hit by any non-compatibility votes were Indiyah and Dami, meaning their place in the Majorcan villa is safe ahead of Monday’s finale.
It is now up to the public to decide who survives another night, and which couple will be packing their suitcases.
While the Islanders assured each other their decisions weren’t “personal”, they were scathing as they decided what to text.
Ekin-Sun told Davide: “Let’s be real, this is not ‘Friend Island’, OK?”
Paige tells Adam Collard: “It’s not nice at all.”
Ekin-Sun pondered Adam returning to his “old ways” and leaving Paige heartbroken on the outside before making her decision.
But her castmates were doubtful she and Davide would work outside the villa, with his apparent “trust issues” a sticking point.
The couples have no idea how the votes currently stack up, with viewers having to wait until Sunday to see who will be the next booted off the show.
‘Love Island’ airs at 9pm on ITV2 and ITV Hub. Episodes are available the following morning on BritBox. The dating reality show can be seen in Ireland on Virgin Media Two and Virgin Media Player.

Reese Witherspoon reveals how Top Gun: Maverick has inspired her for Legally Blonde 3

OHMYGOSSIP — Reese Witherspoon has revealed ‘Top Gun: Maverick’ provided inspiration for the new ‘Legally Blonde 3’ movie.
The 46-year-old actress is set to return as Elle Woods in the long-awaited follow-up to 2003’s ‘Legally Blonde 2: Red, White and Blonde’, the sequel to the 2001 original.
And she loved how they included a throwback from the first ‘Top Gun’ movie in its sequel that was released more than 30 years after the 1986 original.
She told USA Today: “I’m still hoping that ‘Legally Blonde 3’ is gonna come together in the right way.
“It’s just like ‘Top Gun’: They waited a long time to make another version of that movie, and I loved the nostalgia piece they incorporated in it. So definitely that gave us a lot of inspiration about what we would want to do with Elle Woods and make sure that we had all those same touchstones that mattered to people [back] then.”
Reese says the characters are so beloved to her that she wants to make sure the move is perfect.
She added: “I feel like these characters are my friends, so I safeguard them.
“I would never make the subpar, mediocre version of their story.”
Mindy Kaling is penning the script with Dan Goor.
Selma Blair recently said she hopes to at least make a cameo in ‘Legally Blonde 3’.
The 50-year-old star played Vivian Kensington in the 2001 comedy, and she is hoping to make an appearance in the upcoming flick.
She told the ‘Shut Up Evan’ podcast: “I’m hoping, hoping that that legacy can continue, because talk about the good things in life. That movie is one of the good things in life. It’s a highlight. I really feel like, ‘Yeah, my obit’s gonna look okay.’ ”
Selma also discussed an alternate ending where Vivian and lead star Reese Witherspoon’s alter ego Elle Woods end up together and said she’d have been so up for that.
Quizzed on whether she recalls being told about the ending, she said: “No, I love that idea! What fun. … I don’t remember that, maybe it was. But I don’t think so. I’m friends with Karen [McCullah] and [Kristen “Kiwi” Smith] that wrote it. And it wasn’t, but I would’ve loved that so much. Let’s go with that. I think it’s so much fun.”
Jennifer Coolidge, 60, is also set to return as nail technician Paulette Bonafonté Parcelle.
