Darragh Ennis has no fears about AI taking over The Chasers

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘The Chase’ star Darragh Ennis doesn’t fear AI replacing him on the quiz show.
The 43-year-old scientist is The Menace on the ITV programme, and he insists the technology will never be “powerful” enough to take over his job.
He told the Daily Star Sunday: “Artificial intelligence is totally fascinating, but I don’t worry about it replacing us on The Chase.
“So the thing about AI that everybody seems to misconstrue is they think it’s more powerful than it is. That’s one of the things.
“I don’t think you could replace The Beast though – the projector for that hologram would be massive. There’s no way to replace him.”
However, he wouldn’t mind if bots assisted those who come up with the questions behind the scenes.
He said: “Do you know what, I wouldn’t be against the idea of our question-writing team, who are the least appreciated people in the world by the way, using it.
“They get nothing but difficulty, people are always complaining about the questions – a classic quiz thing.
“But I’d have no problem if they wanted to use AI to generate a starting point for questions, why not?
“You know, they’d have to verify them, you have to check things, but they could reduce their workload and they could generate questions.
“And also, one good thing about AI is, everybody has biases and you could change the biases to that of the machine.
“So instead of asking just things you know about, it could farm vast amounts of information and come up with new topics.”

The Traitors star Mollie Pearce to join ITV reality show

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘The Traitors’ star Mollie Pearce has reportedly signed up for ‘Dancing On Ice’.
The 22-year-old model – who was born with one hand and wears a stoma bag after battling colitis – made it to the final of the BBC show, but lost out on the £95,000 cash prize after winner Harry Clark betrayed her and revealed himself as a Traitor.
And now, she is said to be taking part in the upcoming series of the ITV figure skating show.
A source told The Sun: “Mollie captured the nation with her devastation when Harry brilliantly conned her on The Traitors, and she’s not put a foot wrong since.
“She’s gorgeous and TV fans will love the chance to get behind her as she takes on a new competition.
“There’s a certain irony in ITV signing the standout star of the BBC’s reality show whilst the BBC take one of the Islanders for Strictly – but everyone’s a winner cos both girls are terrific and deserve the success.”
Mollie previously hit back at viewers who said she was “too nice” on ‘The Traitors’ and insisted that Harry had just “played a great game”.
She told OK! Magazine: “I don’t think I was too nice. It was the game to deceive, and if a Traitor was going to win the game, someone had to trust them otherwise what was the point?
“I don’t think trusting Harry made me too nice, I think it just means he played a great game.”
Meanwhile, Mollie recently appeared in a beauty campaign with Superdrug to raise enough money to fund 10,000 hours of Marie Curie’s nursing service.
She said: “It’s been a privilege to be able to talk to some of Marie Curie’s wonderful nurses and get a better understanding of the care and support they offer to not just their patients, but their loved ones too. What they do daily is incredible, but it’s something that so many of us don’t even consider until we’re so much older.
“And yet getting the right end-of-life care isn’t just important to those dying, but to the people left behind, like their children and grandchildren.
“I certainly wasn’t aware of how urgent the need is for better end of life care.
“It’s sobering to think that one in four people in the UK die without the care that they need – so I hope these videos inspire people to head out to their local Superdrug store and pick up one of the selected products knowing that they’ll be supporting this invaluable service that Marie Curie Nurses provide.”

Olivia Attwood plans to return to I’m A Celebrity

OHMYGOSSIP — Olivia Attwood plans to return to ‘I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here!’ in the future to finish what she started.
The former ‘Love Island’ star signed up for the reality show back in 2022 but was forced to quit after just two days in the jungle due to a health issue – and Olivia has now insisted she wants to go back to finish the job.
She told The Sun newspaper: “The jungle will be getting finished at some point, one thousand per cent. I can’t rest until I’ve finished it.”
However, Olivia insisted she hasn’t got the time for a stint in Australia this year but she hopes to find a gap in her schedule at some point in the future.
She added: “Probably not this year. From a purely logistical point of view, it would be almost impossible.
“Plus, being a contestant is not something I’m prioritising because I think I just want to really focus on being a host right now.”
A recent report suggested Olivia had been in talks to go back to the show last year but she had to focus on hosting new reality dating show ‘Olivia Attwood’s Bad Boyfriends’ instead.
A source told which she attempts to MailOnline: “Olivia was in talks to go in [to the jungle] last year but it was ruled out literally because of scheduling issues and she is in talks again this year.”
Olivia has been making a series of documentaries for ITV and is now hosting ‘Olivia Attwood’s Bad Boyfriends’ in which she attempts to “tame” unruly partners.
The men taking part in the ITV show have been signed up by their girlfriend and will compete in challenges to prove who can be the “most improved” boyfriend by the end of the series.
Olivia admitted she wanted to dislike the contestants but found herself warming to them eventually. In a question-and-answer session with journalists, she explained: “I really wanted to dislike them. But I think the key thing about the boys is that they are naughty and they are crossing the line, but they are likeable, and they’re not awful human beings.”

Richard Gere jokes he had ‘no chemistry’ with Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman

OHMYGOSSIP — Richard Gere has quipped that he had “no chemistry” with Julia Roberts in ‘Pretty Woman’.
The 75-year-old actor has reflected on his role as rich businessman Edward Lewis in the 1990 rom-com classic and poked fun at the part being “criminally underwritten”.
Speaking at a masterclass at Venice Film Festival at the weekend, he said: “I was playing a character that was almost criminally underwritten.
“It was basically a suit and a good haircut.”
He then said he and 56-year-old Julia’s prostitute character Vivian Ward “had no chemistry”.
He joked: “I mean, no chemistry.
“This actor and this actress obviously had no chemistry between them… I haven’t seen that in a long time.
That’s a sexy scene.”
Richard went on to reveal that one of the most iconic scenes in flick, where he seductively lifts her on top of a piano in the hotel ballroom and caresses her body, wasn’t scripted.
He recalled: “We didn’t know how we would use it later. It ended up being integral to the film.
“Garry said to me, ‘What do you do late at night in a hotel?’ And I said, ‘Well, I’m usually jet lagged, [that] would be the time I’m in a hotel. So I’m up all night and usually there’s a ballroom somewhere or a bar, and I’ll find a piano and I’ll play the piano.’
“He said, ‘Well, let’s do something with that. So we just basically improvised this scene, and he said, ‘Play something moody.’ I just started playing something moody that was this character’s interior life.”

Laurence Fishburne ‘surprised’ by Slingshot’s ‘twist’

OHMYGOSSIP — Laurence Fishburne signed up for new sci-fi movie ‘Slingshot’ because he was “surprised” by the movie’s “twist”.
‘The Matrix’ star plays an astronaut on a mission to Saturn’s moon Titan opposite Casey Affleck in the film from director Mikael Hafstrom and he’s revealed he agreed to the project after being blown away by the script.
He told The Hollywood Reporter: “With ‘Slingshot’, I was just really intrigued by the story and very surprised at the twist and the way that everything resolves itself – or doesn’t resolve itself, depending upon your point of view.
“It was written in such a way that I couldn’t figure out where it was going, and that is very exciting for me.”
The actor revealed he was also keen to work with Affleck after being a fan of his movies for a long time. He added: “Big fan of Casey’s work and always wanted to work with him.
“I kind of describe [Affleck] as the [jazz trumpeter] Chet Baker of acting. He’s really cool. He’s got this great sense of lyricism, sense of humour.
“He’s got a great sense of romance. He’s got this beautiful melancholy, this genuine intelligence and a great vulnerability and sensitivity that I just really, really admire.”
The film revolves around a team sent on a long voyage to Titan to find a new renewable source of energy to help save Earth but the drugs used to put the crew to sleep start to have a negative impact on some of the astronauts.
Fishburne added to Variety: “As I was reading it, I couldn’t tell how the story was going to end. I get jazzed about the way the movie ends. It doesn’t spoon-feed anything to you. It really requires that you participate in it.”
He went on to explain his love of sci-fi movies, saying: “I am a product of my time. I was born in 1961 so where do you think I fell in love with sci-fi?
“I fell in love with sci-fi on the television. There was a little show called ‘Star Trek’, and it was the first television show, in America, that had a diverse, and multiracial crew on it, so I could turn on ‘Star Trek’ and see people that looked like me in space in the future.”

Liam Neeson leads cast of 4 Kids Walk Into a Bank

OHMYGOSSIP — Liam Neeson is to lead the cast of the dark heist comedy ‘4 Kids Walk Into a Bank’.
The ‘Taken’ actor will be joined in the film by rising stars Talia Ryder, Noah Jupe, Whitney Peak, Jack Dylan Grazer and Deacon Phillippe – the son of Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe.
The picture is set to be directed by Frankie Shaw and is based on a graphic novel by Matthew Rosenberg and Tyler Boss. Matt Robinson has adapted the script with revisions by Shaw.
Neeson plays former bank robber Danny, whose teenage granddaughter Paige (Ryder) means the world to him.
When she finds out that his former gang is pulling him back in for one last theft to pay a debt, she comes up with the solution of getting her three friends to rob the bank the day before so that he doesn’t have to.
It is not the only comedy project that Neeson has lined up as he is also taking on the central role in the reboot of ‘The Naked Gun’ reboot.
The 72-year-old actor is to feature as Frank Drebin Jr. – the son of Leslie Nielsen’s protagonist Detective Frank Drebin from the original films – in the forthcoming flick and is wary of the expectation that comes with reviving the spoof comedy franchise.
Liam told MovieWeb.com: “I’ve done a couple of, like, TV skits with Stephen Colbert and Ricky Gervais, but those were two minutes, three minutes tops.
“But I’m a bit nervous about ‘Naked Gun’, because it’s a feature film… If he tests it well, which I’m sure he will, Akiva Schaffer is our writer-director.
“And there’s lots of funny gags, lots of funny visual gags happening at the same time while ‘serious things’ are being discussed, you know?”

Zara McDermott doubles her money since ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ appearance

OHMYGOSSIP — Zara McDermott has doubled her money since her now-controversial ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ appearance.
The model, influencer and former ‘Love Island’ contestant, 27, has seen her wealth grow from £142,726 in 2022 to £309,913 last year, latest company accounts show.
Along with her ‘Strictly’ payday, she recently hosted BBC3’s ‘Ibiza: Secrets of the Party Island’ documentary and raked in money from a partnership with L’Oreal.
She’s also pocketing more cash from her Rise clothing range, which is stocked in Tesco.
Zara has recently hit headlines as her time on ‘Strictly’ has become mired in scandal.
She appeared in the BBC series in 2023, before reports emerged that she was “hit and kicked” while in rehearsals by the show’s now-axed 30-year-old professional dancer Graziano Di Prima.
Actress Amanda Abbington, 50, has also made complaints about the behaviour of her 33-year-old pro partner on the show, Giovanni Pernice.
Zara said in a statement to her millions of Instagram followers she had “wrestled with the fear of opening up’” about her alleged ‘Strictly’ ordeal as she was “scared” about “public backlash and of victim shaming”.
She added: “Reports have been made about my treatment on the show and there were witnesses to some events, as well as videos of particular incidents which are incredibly distressing to watch.
“After a lot of conversations with those I love, I’ve gained the strength to face these fears.
“And when I was asked to speak to the BBC, I spoke candidly about my time on the show.”
Professional dancer Giovanni has now been let go from the show following an ongoing investigation into his conduct and into ‘Strictly’, the findings of which are to be released soon.

Davina McCall hails ‘mid-lifers’ as party ‘pioneers’

OHMYGOSSIP — Davina McCall thinks “mid-lifers” are party “pioneers”.
The 56-year-old TV host, who is fronting a new series of mature dating series ‘My Mum, Your Dad’, kicked a drug addiction she developed in her 20s and is now sober and settled with her partner of five years Michael Douglas.
She told The Sun about how her generation grew up after wild living: “Our age group, we are the first of a new generation of mid-lifers.
“We are the people that were at the raves, taking drugs, we’re pioneers.
“We were naughty, we were fun, we were outrageous – and then we had kids. “We settled down, we were good people for 18 years and now we’re thinking, ‘Right – let’s go again’.”
Davina is hosting the second series of popular ITV “later-life” dating show ‘My Mum, Your Dad’, which sees eight single mid-lifers who have been put forward by their children to go to a £8 million retreat in Sussex in the hope of finding new love.
The fitness fanatic presenter, who got divorced from Matthew Robertson – the father of her three children – in 2017, added about her habit of posing online in skimpy outfits: “You always hear that from people, don’t you? Like, ‘Oh, I still feel 25’. But it’s not a joke. We do still feel 25.
“You know, we’re exactly the same, except we’re slightly saggier.
“We’re now in a society where it is permissible for me to wear inappropriately short skirts, because it’s a new generation.
“We’re being allowed to behave in a way that possibly the last generation of men and women weren’t, and it’s really nice.”
Davina also promised the second series of TV BAFTA-nominated ‘My Mum, Your Dad’ will be as good as the first, saying: “It’s amazing. After a week, you can just see it all start to happen.
“Because people in there, it’s kind of like a hotbed. You are with somebody 24 hours a day, and you watch all these little micro-gestures, and you think, ‘I really like the way he makes coffee’, or ‘Wasn’t he nice? He opened the door for such and such’.”

Jacqueline Jossa brlives she had a ‘guardian angel’ with her during recent robbery ordeal

OHMYGOSSIP — Jacqueline Jossa believes a “guardian angel” was present during her recent robbery ordeal.
The 31-year-old actress was in a holiday villa in Marbella, Spain with her husband Dan Osborne, 33, and their daughters Ella, nine, Mia, five, as well as her stepson Teddy, 10, when she awoke to find two men in balaclavas ransacking the place but thinks a higher power stopped her from instantly landing herself in harm’s way.
She told The Sun newspaper’s TVBiz column: “I truly believe in guardian angels. Something kept me from going out straight away. Had I done I could have been blocking his way.
“He would have had to move around me, push me downstairs or use a weapon.
“We saw it on CCTV. There was something very long and sharp in his hand.”
The ‘EastEnders’ star lost her £7,000 diamond engagement ring and a Cartier bracelet and ring in the raid and while she could “wail and cry” about the incident, is just focusing on the fact that she and her family all ended up safe.
She added: “I could wail and cry about the ring, and obviously I am gutted about it.
“But I believe in a higher power.
“We let the kids stay up later to watch a film after dinner.
“They asked if they could sleep in the room downstairs.
“Luckily, Dan changed his mind and said everyone just sleep upstairs all on one level.
“He said, ‘I don’t like the thought of you being down here on your own’. Thank God, that happened.”
Police in Malaga are now investigating the incident but the former ‘I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!’ winner just recalled being “in shock” as the drama unfolded and her husband went looking for the robbers just before they sped off into a getaway car.
Jac added: “I was in shock. So I followed him and peered over the stairs just to make sure I had seen it properly.
“Then I could hear a kerfuffle, like the men were trying to get out of the house. So I instantly ran to wake Dan.
“He grabbed a cue from the pool table. There wasn’t much else he could do.”

TOWIE’s Amy Childs became ’emotional’ upon daughter’s health diagnosis

OHMYGOSSIP — Amy Childs became “emotional” when her daughter was diagnosed with dyslexia.
The 34-year-old reality star – who has Polly, seven, and Ritchie, six, from previous relationships as well as 17-month-old twins Millie and Billy with fiance Billy Delbosq – suffers from the condition that affects reading and writing ability herself and cried when it was revealed that her eldest has the same thing.
She told OK! Magazine: “We had tests for dyslexia about a month ago and the results came back last week. She writes her letters backwards, I noticed. She gets a bit muddled with her words but she’s coming on amazingly. She will get a lot of extra help. She’s an amazing dancer, she won a competition. You don’t always have to be clever!
“I got emotional… But she has got me and Mum and Bill. She’s at a lower level for reading and phonics, they break everything down for her. There is a plan, but it’s hard.”
But the ‘TOWIE’ star will be happy as long as her daughter grows up to be a “lovely person” and admitted to getting a little bit teary when she heard the news as she recalled her own “struggles” with dyslexia over the years.
She added: “But as I say, it’s not all about being clever. As long as she’s a lovely person and trying her hardest, then she’ll get there. I was a little bit tearful because of what I went through myself; I struggled so much.”
Meanwhile, Amy has been engaged to Billy, 41, since April 2023, but is in “no rush” to tie the knot just yet, although she admitted there is a chance that she could let the cameras in to document the big day for a TV show.
She said: “There’s a possibility we will get a wedding show, we’ve had a few meetings. But I’m in no rush to get married. We had the house move and the twins are still young. I want to look amazing on my wedding day and have them walk down the aisle. I don’t want to rush it.”

Film studios hit by crackdown on using AI to bring dead actors back to the screen

OHMYGOSSIP — Film studios will require permission to bring stars back from the dead through the use of AI.
A new law has been made by the California Senate that will require studios to ask the late actor’s estate before featuring their artificial likeness in their movies.
The crackdown is expected to come into force across the US, and potentially across the rest of the world, once it has been passed by the state’s governor Gavin Newsom and will also apply to TV shows, video games and other media.
Film studios do not currently need consent from estates to use AI to replicate deceased performers, although it is often sought, but the new bill would make it a requirement.
The Screen Actors Guild (SAG) – the trade union for movie actors – said: “This is another win in our ongoing strategy of enhancing performer protections in a world of generative artificial intelligence.”
AI was used in the recent movie ‘Alien: Romulus’ to bring the late British actor Sir Ian Holm back to life for the role as an android, after he had appeared in the original ‘Alien’ flick back in 1979.
‘Star Wars’ also used technological wizardry to include footage of Carrie Fisher as Princess Leia in the 2019 film ‘The Rise of Skywalker’ following her death three years earlier. Her brother had agreed to let her feature in the blockbuster.
Meanwhile, Nicolas Cage expressed fear earlier this year about being “replaced” by artificial intelligence after detailing how he had to be digitally scanned for his role in the ‘Spider-Man Noir’ series.
Explaining why he had to wind down his interview with The New Yorker magazine, he said: “I have to slip out after this to go get a scan done for the show, and then also for the movie I’m doing after the show. Two scans in one day!”
Asked what that involves, Cage added: “Well, they have to put me in a computer and match my eye color and change – I don’t know.
“They’re just going to steal my body and do whatever they want with it via digital AI God, I hope not AI I’m terrified of that. I’ve been very vocal about it.”

‘TOWIE’ star Pete Wicks reveals he has never watched ‘Strictly Come Dancing’: ‘I’m petrified’

OHMYGOSSIP — Pete Wicks has never watched ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The 36-year-old reality star is one of a host of famous faces set to appear on the upcoming series of the BBC Latin and ballroom show but revealed that it was former contestant Zara McDermott – who is dating his best friend Sam Thompson – who “pushed” him to sign up in the first place.
Speaking on ITV’s ‘Lorraine’, he said: “I am petrified. Do you know what? I’m like a Ferrari from the waist down and a Volvo from the waist up, so the hips are there but the top half don’t move, it’s very weird. I’ve got the hips but nothing else and I kind of feel like you need the whole body!
“Zara has said to me… she was the one who pushed me to do it because she loves it. I’ve never actually seen it.”
The former ‘TOWIE’ star – who will be competing against the likes of ‘EastEnders’ actor Jamie Borthwick, ‘X Factor’ winner Shayne Ward, and Sarah Hadland of ‘Miranda’ fame – first saw the show when he was in the studio audience for Zara’s first show last year but “never imagined” he would ever take on something like it himself as he teased that his outfits are a far cry from what he would normally wear.
“The first time I’d ever seen ‘Strictly’, it was the first live show last year when Zara was on it and I just thought ‘Wow, this is amazing’ but I never imagined myself doing it. Sequins and all that is not really… I’m a man who likes black.
“I did a photoshoot the other day, and wow, it was interesting. Oh, it was interesting. Just wait until you see it. There was all sorts going on. But I’m excited. It’s a brand new challenge and something I never thought I would do.”

Richard Osman planned to pitch ‘Buckaroo: The Movie’ to Steven Spielberg

OHMYGOSSIP — Richard Osman planned to pitch an idea for ‘Buckaroo: The Movie’ to Steven Spielberg the first time he met the director.
The former ‘Pointless’ co-host, 53, came up with the idea after he sold the rights to his first novel ‘The Thursday Murder Club’ to the ‘Schindler’s List’ filmmaker, and knew there would could a time when they crossed paths.
He said on his ‘The Rest is Entertainment’ podcast: “Do you know what? I had so many plans for when I met Spielberg.
“I was like, ‘Yeah, do you know what? I’m going to do that. I’m going to ask Spielberg (about) movies – I’m going to do that’.
“And the idea of pitching ‘Buckaroo: The Movie’ to him. Listen, there’ll be edits, there’ll be premieres.
“By that time we’ll be firmer friends and we can have the ‘Buckaroo’ chat.”
Richard also revealed how Steven, 77, dropped in on the filming set of ‘The Thursday Murder Club’, which is being produced by the Oscar-winner’s Amblin Entertainment company – but didn’t mention whether he gave his ‘Buckaroo’ pitch at the time.
He said: “Firstly, he just had that incredible presence. There’s certain people you meet where you go, ‘Oh my God, you’re Steven Spielberg’.
“It was so lovely seeing even the other actors were excited to be around him.
“I won’t say what anyone said, but Sir Ben Kingsley was talking to him about ‘Schindler’s List’ and their experience in such a beautiful way and he clearly loved Steven Spielberg.
“It was so gorgeous. Paul Freeman who was in ‘Raiders of the Lost Ark’ – they were talking about that.
“People spotted me and then suddenly there’s Spielberg, who weirdly was hidden behind me, and everyone, all the actors, was so excited to see him.
“His relationship with (writer and director) Christopher Colombus is so lovely, they adore each other.
“It was honestly a dream and he was delightful. It was a beautiful sunny day and he was everything that you’d want him to be.”

Jeremy Clarkson too ‘old and fat’ to squeeze into his favourite cars

OHMYGOSSIP — Jeremy Clarkson is too “old and fat” to squeeze into his favourite cars.
‘The Grand Tour’ host, who stands at 6ft 5in tall and marked his 64th birthday in April, added he has decided to make the upcoming series of the Amazon motoring show his last as he’s been talking about driving for nearly 40 years and is sick of travelling.
He told The Sunday Times: “After 36 years of talking about cars on television, I’m packing it in, because I’m too old and fat to get into the cars that I like and not interested in driving those I don’t.
“What this means, of course, is that my 22-year partnership with James May and Richard Hammond is now over.
“You can see our final road trip together on Amazon Prime very soon. It’s emotional.”
Jeremy and his ‘Grand Tour’ sidekicks Richard Hammond, 54, and James May, 61, have been fronting the show since 2016 in the wake of the trio departing the BBC’s ‘Top Gear’.
He added he felt “surprisingly unemotional” during the filming of the last episode of ‘The Grand Tour’, which will see him, Richard and James cross Zimbabwe, in a Lancia Montecarlo, Ford Capri 3-litre and Triumph Stag.
Jeremy said: “I’m not saying this in a derogatory way by any means but James has the emotions of a stone. He just doesn’t do emotions, so there were no tears from him. Hammond, yes.
“I was surprisingly unemotional in a weird way because I can see James and Hammond any time I want to, they’re only a phone call away, and I’m sure we will. And I’ve done enough of the travel, I was worn out by it.”
Jeremy also stressed travelling is a “young man’s game” – and admitted he “dreads” going into a retirement home as he ages, but said he has a “fear it’s coming”.
‘The Grand Tour: One for the Road’ is due to premiere on Amazon Prime Video on Friday 13 September.

Lorraine Kelly ‘can’t stop smiling’ since she became a grandmother: ‘It’s amazing’

OHMYGOSSIP — Lorraine Kelly “can’t stop smiling” since she became a grandmother.
The 64-year-old presenter – who is married to Steve Smith and has Rosie, 29, with him – welcomed her first grandchild over the weekend when her daughter gave birth to a baby girl named Billie and explained that it was “amazing” to see her child have a kid.
Speaking on Monday’s (02.09.24) ‘Good Morning Britain’, she said: “Baby Billie is here. She’s beautiful. Eight pounds, three ounces of joy and she’s absolutely lovely. Rosie and her Steve have taken to it so, so well and it’s just brilliant. Everybody has said to me that I won’t believe how much you love this little tiny thing and of course you do but it’s just amazing to see your own child having a wee baby. It’s lovely, I can’t stop smiling.”
The former ‘Masked Singer’ contestant has advised Rosie and her partner Steve to just get as much sleep as they can and regretfully recalled using her spare time to do chores when she first became a mother.
She said: “I just said to them ‘Sleep whenever you can’, I think that’s the thing! I cannot tell you – I honestly felt like running out of the hospital with her, create a diversion and I’ll just run away. She’s really, really lovely. But yes, they’ve taken to it so, so well. I’ve just said to them to sleep, sleep, sleep as much as they can. When Rosie was sleeping, I used to go and do the housework. That’s silly.”
But despite her excitement and willingness to help however she can, Lorraine is determined to not become an “interfering” grandmother.
She said: “I’ll do absolutely anything, it’s just great and everybody has been so nice and so kind with their lovely wishes. I’m going to try really hard to not be annoying and interfere and be there all the time.”

Former Hollyoaks star Sophie Porley reveals panic attacks made her quit acting

OHMYGOSSIP — Former ‘Hollyoaks’ star Sophie Porley quit acting after battling panic attacks.
The 31-year-old star portrayed Ellie Nightingale in the Channel 4 soap opera from 2015 to 2018 but was forced to give up her career to put her mental health first – after putting “too much pressure” on herself to find other acting gigs and suffering a series of debilitating anxiety attacks.
She told ‘The Muse’ podcast: “I hadn’t intended to transition to social media stuff when I came off Hollyoaks. My intention was to continue acting.
“I don’t know if I’ve really spoken about this, but I’m not really acting anymore.
“Because I had a few auditions when I finished Hollyoaks, and I think I put so much pressure on myself to go from that to another acting job I felt real pressure.
“My agency sent me an audition and there was pages and pages of dialogue to learn. I went into my agency to record the audition, and I put so much pressure on myself I walked out of their building and had a panic attack.”
She recounted: “I was in the train station, and I literally had to sit on the floor. I couldn’t breathe.
“At that moment, I was like, ‘I’m really putting too much pressure on myself to get another acting job,’ so I took a step back.”
Sophie hasn’t completely ruled out a return to acting but admits it’s too “overwhelming”.
She added: “It’s been a few years now, and I’ve not gone back to it.
“Sometimes I think I should try to pursue it again, but I found the whole thing really overwhelming.”
Quizzed on whether she would reprise her role as Ellie, she insisted: “Never say never, but I don’t have any plans to.
“It’s not something on my radar.”
