Made in Chelsea’s Olivia Bentley and Tristan Phipps ‘in it for the long run’

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Made in Chelsea’ stars Olivia Bentley and Tristan Phipps started dating again after a “drunken lap dance”.
The stars of the E4 reality show have not only rekindled their on-off romance – but he’s also moved into her flat.
Liv quipped to OK.co.uk “All it took was a drunken night in Raffles and a lap dance and we were back together!”.
Tristan reacted: “That’s not what happened!”
He went on: “I was actually on a date – or a liaison, let’s call it – at that club one night, and then Liv walked in with her friends. I hadn’t seen her in person for around five months and I just thought to myself, ‘Oh f***, I’m still in love with her.'”
The pair were good friends before realising their relationship was far from platonic.
Olivia said: “I often forget that we were friends before.
“I feel like we’ve been in love the whole time.”
And the fact they were pals was “terrifying” for Tristan.
He explained: “I’d never dated anybody that I’d previously been friends with – that’s what I found so terrifying at the time – so I thought I knew everything about Liv already, but I suddenly started learning something new about her that I loved every day. She had this big tough exterior which she portrays on-screen, but this wall suddenly started to come down and I realised how unbelievably caring she really is.”
The pair went their separate ways last year after living together amid the COVID-19 pandemic, a forced situation that left them feeling trapped.
Tristan said: “Being almost ‘forced’ to live together during the pandemic – when we were also filming the show together as well – meant we couldn’t learn to love each other naturally.
“Any normal lovers’ tiff was heightened in that environment.”
Olivia expanded: “We both struggled massively with not being able to escape one another.
“There was no breathing room.”
On living together again, she said: “When we decided to get back together this time, we knew we’d be in it for the long run.
“So, we thought, why delay? It just felt like the right time for us. We’re living together on our own terms now, so it’s been a lot more exciting.”
The loved-up pair are stronger than ever and see a long future together.
Olivia insisted: “It would take a serious amount of arguing to break us up now – even if there’s always an abundance of laundry around our flat, or I leave my hair clips everywhere! I can’t imagine not waking up with him every morning – plus he’s a great chef and cooks all my meals.”
Tristan quipped: “We just work now. She’s the breadwinner and I’m a pro chef! We’ve now had this time apart to grow up, so now we’ve hit the reset, I can’t see anything getting in our way.”

Robert De Niro to star opposite himself in gangster movie Wise Guys

OHMYGOSSIP — Robert De Niro will reportedly star opposite himself in new gangster movie ‘Wise Guys’.
The 78-year-old big screen veteran is set to front the upcoming Warner Bros. drama – which will be helmed by ‘Rain Man’ director Barry Levinson – as both the main characters.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, De Niro will play both Vito Genovese and Frank Costello in the film.
The movie will follow the two Italian American crime bosses, who were at the head of their respective families in the 20th century.
Back in 1957, Genovese had an attempted plot to assassinate Costello, who was injured in the attack and tried to retire from the mafia.
‘Wise Guys’ will also serve as a reunion for De Niro and Levinson, who have collaborated in the past on the likes of ‘The Wizard of Lies’, ‘What Just Happened’, ‘Sleeper’ and ‘Wag the Dog’.
Meanwhile, Nicholas Pileggi – who co-wrote Martin Scorsese’s classic ‘Goodfellas’, which featured De Niro – will pen the screenplay for the new film, and Irwin Winkler will serve as producer.
In an interesting coincidence, ‘Goodfellas’ itself was based on Pileggi’s 1985 book ‘Wiseguy: Life in a Mafia Family’, although the book and ‘Wise Guys’ the movie are unrelated.
One of De Niro’s most recent film credits is 2019’s ‘Joker’ in which he played Murray Franklin, a talk show host idolised by Arthur Fleck (Joaquin Phoenix) before he becomes the titular villain.
The part plays homage to De Niro’s character in the 1983 film ‘The King of Comedy’, where he plays mentally unstable comedian Rupert Pupkin who is desperate to appear on Jerry Langford’s [Jerry Lewis] television show.
De Niro previously said: “I met Todd Phillips [the director] and I liked him. I thought, ‘This will be an interesting project.’
“Bradley Cooper was one of the producers and he told me to do it.”

The busy star’s recent movies include the blockbuster ‘Uncharted’ with Tom Holland and ‘Father Stu’.
He joins Kevin Hart in the Netflix comedy ‘Me Time’ next.
Wahlberg is one of the most bankable stars in the movie business, but he doesn’t plan to stay in the business forever.
Asked when he plans to leave Hollywood behind in April, he replied: “Sooner rather than later, probably.”
Wahlberg has Ella, 18, Michael, 16, Brendan, 13, and Grace, 12, with his wife Rhea Durham.
And the ‘Daddy’s Home’ star is keen to spend more time at home with his family in the coming years.
Speaking about his approach to future projects, Wahlberg explained: “It’s gotta be something special to really bring me, you know, to leave home, to leave those guys behind, because it’s the biggest sacrifice in the making for sure.”
He is focused on projects that “help people”.
Wahlberg added: “I feel like this is starting a new chapter for me in that, now, doing things like this – real substance – can help people.
“I definitely want to focus on making more. I wouldn’t say necessarily just faith-based content but things that will help people. So, hopefully, this movie will open a door for not only myself but for lots of other people in Hollywood to make more meaningful content.”

Simon Cowell pays tribute to ‘charismatic’ Darius Campbell Danesh

OHMYGOSSIP — Simon Cowell has paid tribute to “charismatic” Darius Campbell Danesh following his death aged 41.
The music mogul was wowed by the singer – who was found unresponsive in his apartment in Rochester, Minnesota, on August 11 – on ‘Pop Idol’ in 2001 and offered him a record deal after he finished third on the show, and Simon has now told how Darius was a “great person to be with”.
He said in a statement: “I first saw Darius on television over 20 years ago and I got to know him really well.
“He was charismatic, funny and just a great person to be with.
“His passing, for someone so young, is an absolute tragedy and my heart goes out to his family and friends.”
Darius turned down Simon’s deal and signed on with U2 producer Steve Lillywhite instead.
Despite rejecting the chance to team up with the ‘X Factor’ boss, Darius later described Simon as a “friend”.
He previously said: “I’m incredibly grateful for the experiences I’ve had and all the opportunities that it opened up and to be able to call Simon Cowell a friend and to be able to have dinner with him.”
Will Young won ‘Pop Idol’ in 2001, with Gareth Gates finishing second.
Gareth has also paid tribute to the late star, admitting he has been left “heartbroken” over his pal’s passing, and admitted Darius was like a “big brother” to him on the talent show.
He said in a statement: “I can’t quite believe the news of my dear friend Darius passing. I’m heartbroken.
“Darius took me under his wing during our time in ‘Pop Idol’, like a big brother; always looking out for me and for that I thank you my friend.”
Zoe Birkett, who finished fourth on the show that year, also described the star as a “big brother”.
She tweeted: “Still processing the new of Darius’s death,a big brother to all of us in popidol ,I’ll always remember his wonderful warm tall hugs and his words of wisdom.A huge part of my life and you were there during a time I needed you most and I’ll forever be grateful for you that night (sic)
Darius first shot to fame on talent show ‘Popstars’, and despite being one of the favourites to triumph he was voted off after performing an “alternative” version of Britney Spears’ hit ‘… Baby One More Time’.
The star’s family confirmed this week that he had sadly passed away.
They said in a statement: “It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Darius Campbell Danesh. Darius was found unresponsive in bed in his apartment room in Rochester, Minnesota, on August 11 and was pronounced dead in the afternoon by the local medical examiners’ office.
“The local police department have confirmed that there were no signs of intent or suspicious circumstances. The cause of his sudden death is unknown at this stage while medical examinations continue.
“We ask that you kindly respect our wishes for privacy at this time whilst we come to terms with the tragic loss of our son and brother.”

Great British Bake Off star Kim-Joy Hewlett marries

OHMYGOSSIP — Kim-Joy Hewlett has got married.
The former ‘Great British Bake Off’ contestant – who finished runner-up on the show in 2018 – and Nabil Homsi tied the knot in Las Vegas in front of an Elvis Presley impersonator.
Kim-Joy wrote on Instagram: “Sooo… we got MARRIED!!!!
@nabiltravels is my favourite person, my best friend and the most genuine, kind and funny person. I can’t believe we’re finally married, after first meeting about 9 years ago now!
“We knew we wanted to do something fun and no pressure (especially cause we’ve put so much time, money and planning into the house renovation already!) – and as we were already headed to Vegas, we decided to just get married there! It was just me and Nabil, and our friends Simon and Charlotte who were on holiday with us. Oh… and Elvis Which is funny cause we had to pick two elvis songs and I didn’t know any. I just thought WHY NOT have Elvis there, cause we’re in Vegas! (sic)”
Kim-Joy admitted her wedding day was “full of adventure and last-minute pure luck”, and the happy couple are planning to have a party at home to celebrate with their friends and family.
She added: “The whole wedding was full of adventure and last minute pure luck, which I’m hoping bodes well for the future! I bought the orange dress the day before based on the shop assistant wearing it and having the same hair colour as me (and it was the last shop we went into)! Nabil got a ring in his size literally that morning whilst I was getting ready (and I used my engagement ring as mine – going to get an actual wedding band later). We forgot the all important documents in the morning, so had a side mission to zoom back to the hotel to get them – but made it to the venue just in time! After we got officially married we went to Omega Mart which is an interactive immersive art place and was so cool! And then we ran through amazing torrential rain and a thunderstorm to get to a taxi to take us to the hotel – and it was late so we were worried we wouldn’t find anywhere to eat – but found a random place that squeezed us in and the food turned out to be INCREDIBLE. And crucially, I had spare socks in my bag so didn’t even have to eat dinner with wet feet! The next day we went swimming
“Can’t believe I’m now Ms Homsi [heart emoji] and we’re going to have a party back home at some point with friends and family
“And hopefully this is a reminder that a wedding doesn’t have to be any particular way to be meaningful! I love seeing beautifully planned weddings full of details – but we knew that wouldn’t work for us personally. Do whatever works for you! #married #wedding #vegaswedding (sic)”
Kim-Joy and Ruby Bhogal finished as runners up to Rahul Mandal in the show’s ninth series.
Ruby congratulated the 31-year-old star on her wedding, writing on Instagram: “Ohhhh KJ!!!! I’m so so happy for you and @nabiltravels ! And HOLY HELL THAT ORANGE DRESS! You look absolutely beautiful -we must all go for an Indian feast to celebrate when I’m back up in Leeds soon. Incredible news (sic)”
Former ‘Bake Off’ winner Candice Brown commented: “Oh my god I love this!!! Congratulations (sic)”

Max George turns down 160k Celebs Go Dating offer

OHMYGOSSIP — Max George has turned down a £160,000 offer to star on ‘Celebs Go Dating’.
The 33-year-old singer was approached by show bosses after his recent split with Stacey Giggs, 43, but Max declined the offer after reportedly striking up a romance with Maisie Smith, 21.
A source told The Sun Online: “Unfortunately Max turned it down – despite the huge pay cheque – he has no ambitions to be on a dating show especially so soon after his split with Stacey.
“He’s found the past few days tough and says he’s trying to keep a low profile and stay out of the spotlight for a while.”
Max and Maisie reportedly grew close after co-starring on the ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ tour and started dating after his split with Stacey.
The pair were recently spotted on holidays together in Portugal, Mallorca and Crete, with a friend saying: “This isn’t a flash in the pan. Max has told people that he is falling in love with Maisie.”
However, Stacey is reportedly furious about the romance, telling a pal: “To see them dating publicly so quickly after I dumped him is like a dagger to the heart.
“After everything I’ve done for him, I cannot believe he would be so rude and disrespectful. He’s a lying dog. I feel betrayed.
“I’m very shocked he could be so cruel and I don’t recognise the person he’s become. I think Max has become obsessed with fame.”
Stacey and Max started dating in January 2019 and split in July following an on/off romance.

DeWanda Wise not worried about Jurassic World Dominion negativity

OHMYGOSSIP — DeWanda Wise isn’t concerned by the negative reviews for ‘Jurassic World Dominion’.
The 38-year-old actress played pilot Kayla Watts in the concluding movie of the ‘Jurassic World’ trilogy and admits that she had paid little attention to the poor critical response.
DeWanda told Insider: “From my perspective, I’ve always been pretty critic-immune. We made a movie during a pandemic. Like, honestly, you can print this if you want: You can’t tell me s***.”
The actress continued: “We were the first production back during a pandemic. We all lived together. The people who received this movie with the love that it was created with, that’s where I put my focus. That’s just who I am naturally. I don’t go where I’m not loved.”
Wise was supported by co-star Bryce Dallas Howard who said that she was “loved everywhere”.
The 41-year-old star said: “It’s important to say that you are loved everywhere.
“There is no question how we all feel about you and what you did in ‘Jurassic World’. Full support.”
An extended edition of the movie has been released on DVD, which features 14 minutes of additional footage, and both Wise and Howard say it represents a more complete version of the film that the critics didn’t get the chance to see.
DeWanda said: “I’m thankful now people have an opportunity to see the film in the fullness of its intentionality.”
Howard added: “I am losing my mind, so excited, that the extended edition is being shared with folks.
“The extended edition is a restoration of the original cut, and it’s the movie that we made. It has all of the narrative connective tissue, and character moments and all of that, that we all built together. I am just thrilled that folks are gonna get to see our movie.”

Pierce Brosnan teases ‘elder’ Black Adam character

OHMYGOSSIP — Pierce Brosnan will be an “elder” in the DC Extended Universe (DCEU).
The 69-year-old star will portray Kent Nelson/Doctor Fate – a member of the superteam the Justice Society of America – in the movie ‘Black Adam’ and revealed that his character is a wise figure.
Pierce told Total Film magazine: “I am the elder of the group. I’m assured he’s one of the oldest characters in the pantheon of comic-book characters. He’s an archaeologist.”
The former James Bond actor revealed that his character’s gold helmet holds the key to his powers, which include teleportation and raising the dead.
Brosnan said: “He has powers to foresee the future, and raise the dead, and teleport, while wearing a gold helmet.
“It’s a blessing and a curse. It’s almost like a drug addiction in some respects. It takes a lot of energy to wear the helmet.”
The star revealed that he had lots of input into his character’s costume and was grateful that director Jaume Collet-Serra included him in the process.
Pierce said: “It was a very beautifully designed outfit and helmet, which I’m quite fond of. Jaume Collet-Serra is very inclusive in the collaboration. He was wonderful in the sense that he would send me designs of the helmet, so I could participate in the look of it.”
The film will star Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson as the titular antihero and the star explained that he is partially responsible for the character being given a standalone film away from ‘Shazam!’.
He told Vanity Fair magazine: “When the first draft of the movie came to us, it was a combination of ‘Black Adam’ and ‘Shazam’: two origin stories in one movie.
“Now that was the goal – so it wasn’t a complete surprise. But when I read that, I just knew in my gut, ‘We can’t make this movie like this. We would be doing Black Adam an incredible disservice.'”

Colin Trevorrow wants to move away from film franchises

OHMYGOSSIP — Colin Trevorrow is determined to move away from film franchises.
The 45-year-old director has been involved in all three movies of the ‘Jurassic World’ trilogy and has also been due to direct a ‘Star Wars’ film before leaving the project and Colin revealed that he wants to tell a story without having to impress a legion of fans.
Discussing his future plans in an interview with Screen Rant, Colin said: “I’ve learned something every day. For me, I’ll be honest, (it’s) being able to potentially make something that doesn’t have a legion of people to whom it’s deeply personal.
“Because I’ve been in that space on two different franchises for eight years of my life now, and it seems even movies that I’ve made that weren’t about either of these were still kind of in the shadow of which franchise I was attached to.”
Colin added: “(I’m ready) to be able to tell stories in a way that hopefully doesn’t have people’s childhood in its hands – because I’m one of those people; I understand it. It’s a very delicate thing to be working with, the way we felt when we saw a movie like ‘Jurassic Park’ when were nine years old.”
Trevorrow was speaking as his movie ‘Jurassic World Dominion’ has been released on DVD and he explained that the editing process for the blockbuster was “traumatic” at times.
He said: “It’s a really, really challenging and at times traumatic process internally. Because it was my editor and I in the cutting room, knowing that we had to streamline this movie to get it to under two and half hours.
“And in order to do it, it took having to step away and look at the whole thing from 10,000 feet and just figure out what we could do.”

Big Brother ‘won’t be like Love Island’

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Big Brother’ will feature a “diverse” cast of contestants and won’t be anything like ‘Love Island’.
The reality TV series will return to screens on ITV2 next year – after a four-year break since it last aired on Channel 5 – and show bosses have promised that it won’t feature any “influencer types”.
A source told the Mirror: “There will be a diverse casting across a range of ages, which is what made ‘Big Brother’ so special. It won’t be like ‘Love Island’, where the contestants are all young social media influencer types – they want ‘all walks of life’.
“There will absolutely be no outside influence – just like in the original series – so they won’t get a day off every week like they do in the villa.
“It will have everything viewers came to love about the retro series, with nominations, a public vote and live evictions, but they want it to appeal to a new generation.
“It will be old school ‘Big Brother’, but for your little siblings.”
Meanwhile, it was recently revealed that Alison Hammond has been tipped to be the new host of ‘Big Brother’.
The ‘This Morning’ presenter – who shot to fame after appearing on the third season of the reality show in 2002 – is said to be at the top of producer’s lists to follow in the footsteps of Davina McCall, Brian Dowling and Emma Willis in fronting the show when it returns to screens next year.
A source told the Sunday Mirror newspaper: “Alison is top of the list to present next year’s Big Brother. Execs think she’s exactly what the show needs. She’s energetic, fun, relatable and she was on the show, so she knows it inside out.”
The 47-year-old star, who was second to be voted off her series after just 15 days, previously admitted she’d love to host the programme.
Asked if she thought she’d make a good ‘Big Brother’ host before it was announced the show was returning, she said: “I think so. They need to change it up a bit. We’ve got to put it out there to the universe. Let’s make it happen.”

Jamie Laing’s big wedding plans at in-laws’ expense

OHMYGOSSIP — Jamie Laing is excited for a big wedding that his new in-laws are paying for.
The 33-year-old reality TV star admitted he wants all attention on him on his big day with Sophie Habboo, 28, and he is embracing the Spanish tradition of the groom walking down the aisle first.
Speaking to Nick Grimshaw and Angela Hartnett on their podcast ‘Dish’, he said: “I want the big wedding. And her parents are paying for it. It’s a great combo. I want this. And in Spain, I found out that actually the groom can walk down the aisle first. Because I want that moment when the doors open, and everyone goes… I’m going to go… This is the greatest show! As Zac Efron.”
Jamie also revealed he initially turned down ‘Made In Chelsea’ but changed his mind after realising it was a success.
He said: “It was going to be called, I think, ‘Chelsea Girls’ at the beginning. And a lot of my friends were signing up to it. And it was this reality show about posh kids, which sounds the worst idea in the world and, everyone was asked to do it. And I was kind of, you know, I was friends with Spencer [Matthews]. And I kind of said, ‘this is the worst idea that anyone’s ever done. Why on earth would you do it?’ And then they did it for the first series. And I was like, that looks like a lot of fun. So, then I went and did it and yeah, I did it for 10 years.”
Nick replied: “So hang on. You didn’t do the first series because you were like, ‘cringe’. And then when it’s a success, you were like, ‘sign me up’.”
Jamie said: “Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I was like, ‘you’re all losers. Why would you do that?’
“Yeah. And then it was my life for 10 years. It was one of these things which was like, everyone has tough lives. Everyone, you know, works hard jobs, and does different things. And then people were coming home and watching just posh idiots live off their parents’ money. And drink champagne, and I was like surely this can’t be a good idea. But I think what it was, which was interesting, it was that time when reality TV was, everyone loved it because it was an insight into everyone’s lives. It was fun and interesting.”
And Jamie admitted that although former co-star Spencer Matthews is his best friend, it was hate at first sight for them and he still thinks Spencer is a “douche bag”.
He said: “So, Spencer and I met. I was dating a girl. We’re about 15 years old and he was dating her best friend. And I hated him. Because he was, he’s a douche bag and he, you know, he still is. Honestly, Spencer is, still is a complete douche bag. And we became friends just because he was just this mad, he was, he was bonkers in so many ways. He had this like, like mind that was just so different to everyone else.
“And so yeah, we became friends since we were about 15, 16 years old and then just have never stopped since then. And he, and he doesn’t have any, even he admits it. We started a podcast called ‘Six Degrees of Separation’ because I said, ‘Spencer you need more friends.'”
‘Dish’, the new podcast from Waitrose Partners hosted by Nick Grimshaw and Angela Hartnett is available on all podcast providers now.

“I’m trying to ask the question is modern pain valid against the backdrop of real historical trauma? I think I’m speaking to the experience of people [in their 30s] who go back and it’s foreign to them – and now suddenly real.”
Eisenberg is hoping to work with as many team members from the crew of his first film as he can, along with locals.
He added: “Luckily I’m shooting in a country that has an amazing film tradition.”
The ‘Social Network’ star previously opened up about coming from a “secular suburban Jewish household” himself, while his ancestors were Polish.
He said: “I grew up in a secular suburban Jewish household where we only observed the religion on very specific times like a funeral or a Bar Mitzvah.”
