Kumail Nanjiani: Martin Scorsese has earned the right to have opinion about MCU

OHMYGOSSIP — Kumail Nanjiani thinks Martin Scorsese and Quentin Tarantino have “earned the right” to have an opinion on the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
The 44-year-old actor – who plays Kingo in MCU movie ‘Eternals’ – admits that while he “disagrees” with Scorsese’s thoughts about superhero films, he respects the legendary director’s opinion.
He said: “I obviously love the movies Tarantino makes or Scorsese makes, and I may disagree with Scorsese’s opinion on superhero movies, but I mean, who else has earned the right to have an opinion?”
Nanjiani also thinks it is “strange” that people get so “upset” about Scorsese’s MCU opinions.
He told Esquire magazine: “If Scorsese hasn’t earned the right to have an opinion on movies, then none of us should have an opinion on movies. It’s so strange that people get upset about it.”
In October 2019, Scorsese compared Marvel movies to “theme parks”, insisting they are “not cinema”.
He said at the time: “I don’t see [Marvel movies]. I tried, you know? But that’s not cinema. Honestly, the closest I can think of them, as well made as they are, with actors doing the best they can under the circumstances, is theme parks. It isn’t the cinema of human beings trying to convey emotional, psychological experiences to another human being.”
Later that month, he also said: “The value of a film that’s like a theme park film, for example, the Marvel type pictures where the theaters become amusement parks, that’s a different experience.
“As I was saying earlier, it’s not cinema, it’s something else. Whether you go for that or not, it is something else and we shouldn’t be invaded by it.
“And so that’s a big issue, and we need the theater owners to step up for that to allow theaters to show films that are narrative films.”
Several stars, including Taika Waititi, James Gunn and Simu Liu, have hit back at Scorsese’s criticism.
Liu – who starred in MCU film ‘Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings’ – tweeted: “If the only gatekeepers to movie stardom came from Tarantino and Scorsese, I would never have had the opportunity to lead a $400 million plus movie.
“I am in awe of their filmmaking genius. They are transcendent auteurs. But they don’t get to point their nose at me or anyone.”
In November, Tarantino hit out at the “Marvel-isation of Hollywood”.
He said: “Part of the Marvel-isation of Hollywood is… you have all these actors who have become famous playing these characters, but they’re not movie stars. Right? Captain America is the star. Or Thor is the star. I mean, I’m not the first person to say that. I think that’s been said a zillion times … but it’s like, you know, it’s these franchise characters that become a star.”

Love Island viewers given bombshell power in show first

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Love Island’ viewers have been given the power to choose the first male or female bombshell to enter the villa.
In a first for the ITV2 dating show, voting – which is free via the ‘Love Island’ app – will open at 8pm on Thursday (12.01.23) as fans are handed control.
They must choose between Ellie Spence, a 25-year-old Business Development Executive at a law firm, and 23-year-old semi-pro footballer Tom Clare.
Ellie claims she could “literally fall in love with a chair”, and admits she is a “little bit of a liability”.
She said: “I’m single because I fall in love really quick, but I fall out of it just as quickly. I could literally fall in love with a chair and then a week later be like, ‘Oh wait, no, that’s a chair…’ I fall in love quickly because I build up a character of someone in my head and then they breathe in the wrong direction and I’m like, ‘Next!’ ”
Asked how her friends and family would describe her, she said: “Super caring and kind but also a little bit of a liability, but in a fun way.
“You know when you have the mums of the group when you go out? I’m the one swinging on the chandelier refusing to go home. I’m definitely a good time girl.”
Tom plays for Northern Premier League Division One West club Macclesfield FC, where former Wales international Robbie Savage is director of football.
Quizzed on what his claim to fame is, the Barnsley-born star said: “Robbie Savage is the director of my football team. I just have such a good relationship with him. I see him as a mate.”
Tom admitted he is looking for a permanent partner in the villa.
He said: “Since my ex-girlfriend, no-one’s really come to me and I’ve thought, ‘Wow’. Until I have that, I’m not really going to settle for less. Not in a bad way, but the next person I get with, I want to marry.”

Kerry Washington and Oprah Winfrey starring in Six Triple Eight

OHMYGOSSIP — Kerry Washington and Oprah Winfrey have been cast in Tyler Perry’s film ‘Six Triple Eight’.
Washington will also executive produce the Netflix movie that tells the true story of the only all-black, all-female World War II battalion that proved crucial to the American war effort.
‘Six Triple Eight’ tells the story of the 855 women who joined the war effort with little knowledge of their Herculean task, which was to sort through and fix the three-year backlog of undelivered mail.
Facing discrimination, unfamiliar land and a war-torn country they succeeded – in record time – in sorting more than 17 million pieces of mail. Their efforts allowed American soldiers to reconnect with their families and loved ones back home.
Perry is adapting the screenplay from Kevin M. Hymel’s article about the battalion that was published in WWII History Magazine.
The ensemble cast for the movie includes Ebony Obsidan, Milauna Jackson, Kylie Jefferson, Shanice Shantay, Sarah Jeffery, Pepi Sonuga and Jay Reeves.
Jeante Godlock, Moriah Brown, Baadja-Lyne Odums, Gregg Sulkin, Dean Norris and Susan Sarandon are also set to star.
Little had been documented about the 6888th Postal Directory Battalion. But in March 2022, President Joe Biden signed the bill for the women to receive the Congressional Gold Medal – the highest honour from Congress.
Tyler previously directed the movie ‘A Jazzman’s Blues’ and explained that the movie made him fall in love with filmmaking.
Asked what he learned as a director on the project, he said: “It taught me that I love it.
“I’d always seen making movies as work. But the feeling that I got every day on set was that I love this. Directing, for me, was all about the necessity of just because I wanted to tell the stories. But this one made me sit in. And I was in so much joy every day.”

Sydney Sweeney and Glen Powell cast in rom-com

OHMYGOSSIP — Sydney Sweeney and Glen Powell are to star in a new rom-com.
The duo have boarded the cast of the untitled R-rated project from director Will Gluck that has been acquired by Sony Pictures.
The plot is currently being kept under wraps but is based on a script by Ilana Wolpert that Gluck is in the process of rewriting.
Sony landed the project at the end of last year after figuring out Sydney’s schedule with her ‘Euphoria’ work commitments. Filming is expected to begin by the end of next month.
Gluck, Joe Roth and Jeff Kirschenbaum are producing with Sweeney executive producing for her Fifty-Fifty Films banner.
Sydney is building an impressive range of upcoming projects and is also due to star in a new ‘Barbarella’ film.
The new flick is based on Jean-Claude Forest’s French comic book series that was previously adapted for the big screen in 1968 with Jane Fonda playing the title role.
In the original movie, which was directed by Roger Vadim, an astronaut from the 41st century set out to find and stop evil scientist Durand Durand from bringing evil back into the galaxy.
It wasn’t a major box office hit at the time but became a cult classic, and in 2020, the Forest estate revealed there were plans for a new film.
Sweeney has previously starred in the acclaimed TV series ‘The White Lotus’ and is also due to appear in the superhero movie ‘Madame Web’.
Meanwhile, Glen returns to his roots in romantic comedy after appearing in the Netflix feature ‘Set It Up’. He also had a role in the blockbuster ‘Top Gun: Maverick’ last year.

Love Island’s Finn Tapp reveals Will Young

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Love Island’ star Will Young has a connection to former show winner Finley Tapp.
Finn clinched victory with Paige Turley, 25, during the ITV2 dating competition’s first ever winter edition in 2020, and the former MK Dons footballer has now revealed he trained with TikTok farming star Will, 23, at the same soccer academy.
The 23-year-old reality star told Metro.co.uk: “I had a pal of mine message me recently saying, ‘Oh do you remember Will from football.’
“And apparently he was at the academy when I was there, the year above me.”
Finn admitted he “couldn’t really remember” Will as they were little kids at the time, but his friend did.
He said: “I mean, I’m talking, he was in under 10s and I was like nine, so I couldn’t really remember, but my pal messaged me saying that he remembers him.”
The footballer – with his newly-rediscovered connection – shared he was he was now “rooting” for the social media sensation, who boasts more than a million followers for his videos, which provide a fun insight into lambing season.
Paige added: “I like Will as well,” before confessing she was a fan of the farmer’s sheep content.
She said: “I’ve seen his TikTok videos that I clicked on after, I didn’t know, I’m not much of a TikTok girl.”
During the lineup announcement for the new series of the show – which will see Maya Jama take over the hosting reigns from Laura Whitmore on Monday (16.01.23) – Will shared how rural pursuits make relationships “quite difficult”.
He said: “Having grown up on a farm, it’s been quite difficult juggling relationships and work,’ he explains. ‘Love Island will give me time away from the farm to solely go out and find love.
“I think I’m at the time of my life where I’m mature enough to go and find a wife.
“Every night I light a candle and meditate for 20-25 minutes.
“A girl I was seeing told me to meditate, I tried it and loved it. I stopped seeing her and carried on meditating!
“It’s a nice way to self reflect, taking a minute on my day/week. It’s really nice and sets me up for a nice sleep.”

The Apprentice’s Tim Campbell is governor of school he was ‘kicked out of’

OHMYGOSSIP — Tim Campbell is a governor at the school he got “kicked out of”.
The ‘Apprentice’ star – who is one of Lord Alan Sugar’s aides on the BBC business show, after winning the first series in 2005 – has called for kids to be taught more about how to manage money when they are at school.
Tim – who became chair of the governing body of St Bonaventure’s Catholic School in 2013 – said: “Financial literacy in school is so important. Knowing how to manage a budget, or as my mum talked about, making ends meet. Those things should be taught in school.
“I don’t want to put undue pressure on teachers, because I love teachers.
“I’m now a governor of my old school, the one they kicked me out of. It’s a long story, we won’t get into that one.”
Tim – who will step in for Claude Littner on tonight’s (12.01.23) ‘Apprentice’ – insisted businesses should be going into schools to teach kids the “understanding of how to manage money”, and he believes there has never been a better time for youngsters to start a business because of the technology around nowadays.
Speaking on ‘Lorraine’, he added: “But essentially, teachers need support from businesses. Businesses should go in and teach the understanding of how to manage money.
“We’ve got a big campaign and we want to go and help as many young people understand money and how it works.
“Look at with the cost of living crisis at the moment, it’s even more important that we watch those pennies, because we have to make them stretch. It’s going to be difficult.
“I spend a huge amount of time, with young people in particularly, educating them how they can take idea or talent they have and converting that into a business idea. It’s so important.
“People should think, ‘What do you spend most time doing? What gives you the most enjoyment? And what problem are you solving? If you think about those three things you have the potential to start a business. With the technology now you could create a business overnight that potentially speaks to billions of people. That’s a huge opportunity.”

Love Island star Shaq Muhammad once found sex toys in a pensioner’s suitcase

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Love Island’ star Shaq Muhammad once found sex toys in a pensioner’s suitcase.
The 24-year-old airport security worker – who will enter the ITV2 dating competition’s villa in South Africa on Monday (16.01.23) – believes all his occupational hazards have prepared him for the potential problems of the show.
Shaq told The Sun newspaper: “So I was searching bags, and I get an old lady that comes over.
“And then she goes to me, ‘Oh, do you have to open it here?’ And I’m thinking, ‘Yeah, I kind of do!,’ so I open the bag, and I kid you not, I find dildos, handcuffs, vibrators.
“Bearing in mind this woman is 75 years old – I have an awkward look on my face, she has an awkward look on her face.
“Her husband behind her is like looking away, pretending he doesn’t know her. It was kind of funny, we all laughed at the end.
“I feel like once I’ve seen that, I’m braced for anything, really. I don’t think I’m that shockable, but you never know what could happen in the villa.”
Shaq admitted his job is a “good” training ground for flirting with the ladies.
He said: “So you might just give her a look and then just start chatting, Oh, where are you from? Do you come to London often?’
“And then I have to do it sneakily, and give them my information because I can’t get my phone out. So I say, ‘You should follow me on Instagram,’ or ‘take my number’ or something like that.
“And usually it works – the airport is a good place to pick up women, like exotic women, so I try my best.”
He also spilled how it has given him a good understanding of conflict resolution.
Shaq said: “I come across a lot of people that are rushing for their flight and some of them get a bit upset and rude.
“I feel like it’s important to just stay calm and just help them get on their way.
“So in the villa, I may just take them to the side or something like that, and just be like: ‘Maybe the way you said that, you could have said that a little bit better,’ or, ‘you’ve got to remember she’s a woman’.”

Christopher Dean breaks bone days before Dancing on Ice launch

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Dancing on Ice’ judge Christopher Dean has suffered a finger injury just days before the show’s return.
The 64-year-old Olympic champion – who won a gold medal at the 1984 Winter Olympics with his skating partner and fellow ‘Dancing on Ice’ judge Jayne Torvill – took to social media to reveal the little finger on his left hand is fractured.
In a post on his and Jayne’s official Twitter account, he shared a picture of his injured hand and wrote: “Yes broken”
The star revealed he incurred the injury after falling over a suitcase in the middle of the night.
Joking about the “Iron Lotus”, an ice-skating move from the 2007 skating film ‘Blades of Glory’, he posted: “We were trying the Iron Lotus, but ended up doing a Half Nelson. or did I just fall over a suitcase in the middle of the night. (sic)”
The injury isn’t expected to stop Christopher from taking his place on the panel opposite Jayne, and dancers Ashley Banjo and Oti Mabuse when the show returns on Sunday (15.01.23) on ITV1.
Christopher admitted this week that he believes part of the success of the show is because families can tune in and see some “glitz” when it is “dark and bleak” outside early in the year.
Asked why he thinks the programme is so popular with viewers, he said: “Like a lot of shows, you get to a certain time of year – it’s ‘Dancing on Ice’ time!
“We’ve established that come January when it’s dark and bleak, on TV it’s a glitzy and over the top
jeopardy show…
“Families can sit down and watch. They can sit down with the kids and be entertained by it. It’s not just about standing up on dry land, they’ve actually had to learn how to skate so the jeopardy factor as Jayne was saying is so much higher.”

Gregg Wallace: UK’s snack culture ‘problem’ is of ‘epidemic proportions’

OHMYGOSSIP — Gregg Wallace says the UK’s snack culture “problem” is of “epidemic proportions”.
The ‘MasterChef’ judge dropped five stone and now believes the way Brits eat between meals is a huge problem.
The 58-year-old TV presenter told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “Everybody started to ask how I’d done it. I realised there was a massive interest because so many people are on diets that don’t work.
“As I started to look at it more, people’s shopping and eating habits, I realised what a terrible state the nation is in. The snack culture is so bad that people don’t ask, ‘Should I snack?’ They ask, ‘What should I snack on?’
“I go to work in many different places and see snacks spread across the desks, it’s become so standard.
“Far too many people go to work in the morning with no idea what they’re going to have for breakfast, so they grab a pot of yoghurt or a croissant, which in no way is going to fill them up, so mid-morning they’re hungry and grabbing a packet of crisps.
“Come lunchtime they’re in a supermarket looking for a meal deal which doesn’t fill them either. And at dinnertime they open the fridge, think, ‘I can’t do this’, and phone for a takeaway. On and on it goes, in epidemic proportions. It’s a real problem.”
Gregg – who tied the knot with caterer Anne-Marie Sterpini in 2016 – feels the solution is to “just eat healthy food”.
He said: “They [diets] were all uncomfortable, made me unhappy and left me hungry and dissatisfied. That was when Anna said, well, let’s just eat healthy food. It worked.
“I realised that’s all you need to do – you need to know what your breakfast, lunch and dinner is going to be, and you need to be full up after every meal.
“You’ll lose weight and save a fortune on shopping. And you don’t need willpower.”

Judi Love takes a break from the ‘craziness’ of social media

OHMYGOSSIP — Judi Love is taking a break from the “craziness” of social media.
The ‘Loose Women’ panellist made one of her New Year resolutions for 2023 to step away from the “excitement” of platforms such as Twitter and Instagram, but assured those concerned she might not return that she has every intention to do.
The 42-year-old comedian wrote in her OK! magazine column: “I’ve started my year with a break from social media!
“It’s been amazing to take some time away from the craziness and excitement of Instagram and Twitter, and detox from the urge to check what everyone else is doing and what they think of you.
“Though I’ll go back to social media soon, I’m aiming to keep my head clear this year with regular breaks away from my phone.”
Judi also labelled her former co-star Stacey Solomon’s move to hide her pregnancy a “classic” move of the ‘Loose Women’ panellist.
She said: “I’d like to wish a huge congratulations to my ‘Loose Women’ gal pal Stacey Solomon, who has just announced she’s pregnant with her fifth child!
“Just when we thought she was ready to return to the panel, she reveals this exciting news!”
Stacey – who has son Zachary, 14, with her ex Dean Cox, and son Leighton, 10, with her ex Aaron Barham as well as son Rex, three, and daughter Rose, 14 months, with Joe Swash, who she married last summer – announced she was expecting late last month via Instagram, shocking everyone with the news she was already eight months gone.
She wrote: “So grateful can not believe I’m saying this… Another little pickle is on the way… (sic)”

Matt Reeves is working on a sequel to The Batman

OHMYGOSSIP — Matt Reeves has confirmed that he is working on a sequel to ‘The Batman’.
The 56-year-old director helmed the superhero blockbuster that proves successful with the critics and at the box office when it was released last year and has coyly revealed that a follow-up is in development.
Asked if he was shooting any films this year in an interview with Collider, Matt said: “I’m not going to answer that question, but we are working on a movie. I’ll put it to you that way.
“We’re deep in it and my partner and I are writing, Mattson (Tomlin, an uncredited writer on ‘The Batman’) and I are writing, and it’s really exciting, and I’m really excited about what we’re doing.”
Reeves also hinted that Robert Pattinson would be reprising his role as the Caped Crusader.
The director said: “(He’s) really excited to be doing that with Rob, because I just think he’s such a special person and actor.”
It was reported last year that Matt was developing movies based on Batman’s Rogues Gallery.
The director – who is already serving as an executive producer on Colin Farrell’s ‘The Penguin’ spin-off TV series – is said to have multiple movies in the works focusing on “both established and more obscure” characters.
These will range from the Scarecrow and Clayface to the likes of Professor Pig, with The Hollywood Reporter stating: “All those projects are in the very early stages of gestation.”
It’s noted he is working with writers and other directors on finalising the projects, but there are no further details in terms of potential collaborators, casting news or even the number of films being considered.

Micheal Ward: Nerves added to intimate Empire of Light scenes

OHMYGOSSIP — Micheal Ward thinks that Olivia Colman’s nerves added to the raunchy scenes in ‘Empire of Light’.
The pair feature in Sir Sam Mendes’ new movie as Stephen and Hilary, two people who fall in love while working at a cinema during the 1980s, and Micheal felt that the Oscar-winner’s struggles added to the authenticity of the film’s intimate sequences.
He told the i newspaper: “The fact that Olivia was a bit nervous added something to it, because it felt that we both had to overcome something.
“Automatically you’re kind of stroking (the other person) and you’re like, ‘And one and two and three…'”
Ward and Colman worked with intimacy coordinator Ita O’Brien on the movie and he accepts that the role is important on modern projects.
Asked if he’s glad to act in the post-MeToo era, Micheal said: “Personally, I don’t think it would’ve really mattered to me.
“I think it does help protect the actor. But I’d like to think the directors I worked with, if I’d grown up in the era before, would have looked after me. Otherwise I wouldn’t want to work with them. But I do understand the importance of an intimacy coordinator.”
Micheal claims that his and Olivia’s characters are drawn together romantically by loneliness in the movie.
The ‘Top Boy’ actor explained: “The way I see it, it is essentially two people who are lonely and drawn together by their loneliness – and they’re lonely for different reasons, but it’s what brings them together.”
Ward worked as a model and appeared in music videos before auditioning for acting roles and reflected on the wild ride that has taken him to the film industry.
He said: “I’m just riding the wave. Just stay humble. Stay focused on the stuff that I want to accomplish and just keep working at a level where I can keep being proud of myself and the work that I’m doing.”

Ekin-Su Culculoglu backs Davide Sanclimenti for future Dancing On Ice appearance

OHMYGOSSIP — Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu’s boyfriend would “love” to be on ‘Dancing On Ice’.
The ‘Love Island’ winner is competing in ITV’s skating show this year and she admitted Davide Sanclimenti – who she met on the dating show last year – is keen to follow in her footsteps and take to the ice in 2024.
Asked if she could convince Davide to do the show one day, Ekin-Su – who will skate with Brendyn Hatfield – quickly said: “He’s going to”.
She then added: “He would love to. He would love to do it this year actually, but everything happens for a reason. But I could see him on it, 100 per cent. And I’ll be rooting for him because I’ve been through it myself.”
Ekin-Su praised Davide for being “really supportive” with her training on the show.
She said: “Some days I’ll come home and I’ll be like, ‘I’m so tired’, and he’ll be like ‘Baby, come on, you have to have energy tomorrow. You’ve got Dancing on Ice, you’ve got a good partner.’ I’m like, ‘Where have you come from?’ He’s so supportive.”
The 28-year-old star previously admitted she was unsure how Davide would react to her skimpy costumes and closeness to a male partner because he had never seen ‘Dancing On Ice’ before.
She said: “Davide has no idea what is coming! He is like, ‘Oh ‘Dancing on Ice’! Baby I love you, congratulations!’
“But he has never seen it … all these sexy outfits and I am going to have a male partner! We will see how he reacts but it’s good. The fact that he doesn’t know makes me excited.”
‘Dancing On Ice’ returns to ITV on Sunday (15.01.23).

Only Fools and Horses’ Patrick Murray diagnosed with cancer for second time

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Only Fools and Horses’ actor Patrick Murray is battling cancer for the second time.
The 65-year-old actor – who is best known for his role as Mickey Pearce in the classic sitcom alongside David Jason and Nicholas Lyndhurst – was diagnosed with lung cancer in the summer of 2021 and underwent an operation in October to remove the tumour before enduring rounds of chemotherapy to stop the cancer from coming back.
In May 2022, he was declared cancer-free, however, the TV star has revealed he had to undergone another operation to remove half his liver and a tumour, which they discovered last year.
Patrick tweeted on Thursday (12.01.23): “I am going home today. Minus half a liver and a tumour that the wonderful Prof Heaton removed last week.
“I kept this under my hat that they’d discovered another primary cancer last year. I am a two person, that’s for sure. High fives to all at Kings College Hospital.”
Patrick previously revealed he had given up drinking as a result of his diagnosis, while he said he was “really touched” to have received support from his former co-stars, including Derek Trotter actor David.
He told The Sun newspaper at the time: “I don’t drink now so I’m not going down the pub to celebrate — a salad and a sparkling water is more my thing. I’ve had so many messages from my old Only Fools pals, like David Jason, when I revealed me diagnoses. I was really touched by that Back in January.”
Patrick was initially warned he would not make it past Christmas 2021.
He discovered he had cancer after visiting his GP over growing concerns of his bloated stomach.
He added: “The very next morning, I got the phone call nobody wants to hear when the doctor says, ‘Are you sitting down?’
The first primary diagnosis was actually a lot worse than what it was. It showed up a lot of red flags that I had a tumour on my liver and three metastatics – which is cancer of the blood. I was told it looks like I wouldn’t make Christmas.”

Margot Robbie found Babylon ‘liberating’

OHMYGOSSIP — Margot Robbie found filming ‘Babylon’ “liberating”.
The 32-year-old actress portrays wild silent movie star Nellie LaRoy in Damien Chazelle’s new film and she admitted it was “madness” on set every day shooting the epic, which looks at how the screen icons of the time adapted to talking pictures amid a backdrop of Hollywood excess.
Speaking at the London premiere of the movie on Thursday (12.01.23) night, she said: “I was allowed to do absolutely anything and it was just so liberating… it was just madness every day on set.”
Margot admitted she’d love to see how films were made back in the 1920s because the antics depicted in the film were so cavalier.
She told Sky News: “It was a different ball game. I would loved to have seen moviemaking back then, it seemed like there were no rules and it was just madness.”
While Margot has previously admitted a drunken kiss between Nellie and Brad Pitt’s character Jack Conrad was improvised, she insisted most of everything else that features in the wild pool party scene was already written.
She said: “It was of the best dialogue I had ever read, and the best sequences, truly – you could improvise for fun but the script was so stunning.”
The Australian actress recently admitted the film was the “craziest” of her career, and even topped the excesses of ‘The Wolf of Wall Street’, which she never expected to happen.
She said: “I remember being on set and thinking, ‘I’ll never be in a film as crazy as this ever again.’ And then I made ‘Babylon’.
“There’s a dizzying amount of debauchery. One of the most disturbing, chaotic scenes I’ve ever witnessed is in this film, and it involves a fight with a snake.
“I won’t tell you who wins or loses that fight but, trust me, it’s insane.”
Margot’s alter ego is inspired by the troubled Clara Bow, the original It Girl who scandalised the US by being open about her sexual desires during the 1920s, and the actress insists that she was willing to behave recklessly to stay true to her character.
The ‘Amsterdam’ star said: “I’d feel embarrassed if it was me, but it’s all her.”

‘The sky’s the limit’: Jack Harlow tipped to be huge acting star by White Men Can’t Jump director

OHMYGOSSIP — Jack Harlow has been tipped to have huge success as an actor after his starring role in the ‘White Men Can’t Jump’ remake.
The ‘First Class’ hitmaker is making his movie debut in the role previously played by Woody Harrelson in the 1992 original sports comedy, and the director was so blown away by his audition and performance, he believes the “sky’s the limit” for the rap megastar in acting.
Calmatic – whose real name is Charles Kidd II – told Collider: “Man, it was weird. It was a moment where we were really having a hard time figuring out who we were gonna go out to for this role, and before we even had a big list of names, someone just brought up the name Jack Harlow. I think it was one of the interns. They just said, ‘How about Jack Harlow?’ And it was one of those moments where everyone just froze for a second and looked around the room like, ‘Oh, s***, it might be him.’ And so, we brought him in to audition, and we put him through the ringer. We were there for a few hours, and he killed it, man. To everyone’s surprise, he did a great job. He definitely locked in.”
He added: “He turned it up even more on set and was way beyond our expectations of an actor and a performer. It was weird because, after we got through filming, he went on tour and I would see him on stage in front of thousands of people and be like, ‘Who’s that person? Because for the last 60 days, I’ve known this person who is just very focused, but also cool to hang around. I can’t believe that that person is also one of the biggest rappers in the world right now.’ I think that combination of his stardom plus his charm on camera is gonna be the sky’s the limit for him, when it comes to acting.”
