Love Island bosses warned about beach dates due to ‘unpredictable’ seals

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Love Island’ bosses have been warned about hosting dates on beaches for the Islanders, due to “unpredictable”, brain-damaged seals attacking people in South Africa.
The producers of the ITV2 dating show have been given advice to be cautious about seaside romantic setups on the Cape Town coast after reports of the animals – who are believed to have have suffered neurological damage after toxic-laden algae got into their systems – violently going after beach-goers.
A insider told the Daily Mirror newspaper’s Dairy column: “Producers want to film romantic dates in the beautiful beaches of Cape Town, but the behaviour of the local seal population is totally unpredictable at the moment, so they need to be avoided at all costs.”
Local marine experts believe the seals are suffering from the negative impact of “poisoning”, which is prompting the attacks.
Brett Glasby, a rep from the Two Oceans Aquarium, said: “The animals that survive domoic acid poisoning suffer neurological damage and we suspect that is what has led to an increase in the number of attacks.”
Video footage emerged of ‘Raised by Wolves’ star Loulou Taylor being bitten by the seals and a little boy also falling victim to them.
The actress wrote on Instagram underneath a snap of her bloodied finger: “Be careful swimming at Clifton! I was attacked by a seal in the water and bitten six times, requiring an ER visit and strong antibiotics. They have big teeth! Thank you those who helped me in and out of the water [red heart emoji]”.

SAS Who Dares Wins’ Mark Billingham warns of ‘sensory overload’

OHMYGOSSIP — Mark ‘Billy’ Billingham says the new recruits on ‘SAS: Who Dares Wins – Jungle Hell’ will face a “total sensory overload” on the series and be left “drained” by the extreme heat and humidity.
The military veteran has told how the contestants will find the Vietnam jungle-based show “incredibly intimidating”.
The 57-year-old veteran – who has been bumped up to chief instructor due to his experience in similar circumstances – said: “The jungle is a total sensory overload and we’re taking the recruits into ‘Jungle Hell’ this series. It doesn’t matter how often you have heard about it in war stories or seen it in TV programmes or films – there is nothing like experiencing it.
“Visually, it’s incredibly intimidating, because everything looks the same. The smells are unlike anything you have ever known. The sensations of extreme heat and humidity are draining. The noise from the trees and creatures is often deafening, leaving little space to find tranquillity in your mind.”
Billy – who leads the other directing staff, including new addition Chris Oliver, 40 and Jason ‘Foxy’ Fox, 46, – advised all the new 20 recruits to “give 100 per cent” while appearing on the show.
He said: “Each recruit will have to give 100 per cent all the time. The recruits will be challenged on their capability and pushed a little further! They must be prepared to go physically, emotionally, and mentally beyond any place they have ever been.”
Billy will train 20 civilians, who include Amelia, a 28-year-old software executive, who is keen to “rewrite her negative inner dialogue” about her personal capabilities.
She will be joined by Grant, a 37-year-old refuse worker, and Joshua, a 24-year-old pro boxer, who decided to take part because he longs to see his reaction to “extreme conditions”, while Hilary, a 31-year-old personal trainer, wanted to fight her fear of “vulnerable situations”.
Becky, a 35-year-old hairdresser, opted to apply after the tragic death of her two-year-old daughter.
She said: “I wanted to prove to myself that I could do it and start something and have a determination.”
They competed alongside Steve, a 38-year-old pro wrestler, Faye, a 43-year-old academic, Rosie, a 22-year-old cyber sales account manager, Daniel, a 29-year-old ballet dancer, and Danica, a 36-year-old health and wellness coach.
The line up of the Channel 4 series – which is made up of six one-hour episodes starting on Monday (23.01.23) – also includes Zac, a 27-year-old chef, Aliyah, a 26-year-old influencer, Pete, a 33-year-old firefighter, Ross, a 41-year-old security manager, Scott, a 35-year-old hedge fund manager and Jordan, a 28-year-old pro boxer.
It is concluded by Jamie, a 32-year-old model and footballer, Levi, a 34-year-old HGV lorry driver, Anne, a 41-year-old horse riding coach and Charlotte, a 27-year-old performance and lifestyle nutritionist.
‘SAS: Who Dares Wins – Jungle Hell’ airs Mondays at 9pm on Channel 4 from January 23, 2023.

EastEnders fans stunned as current Love Islander appears on show

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘EastEnders’ fans were left stunned on Wednesday night (18.01.23) when ‘Love Island’ star Olivia Hawkins popped up in Albert Square.
The 27-year-old ring girl and actress is currently in South Africa appearing in the ITV2 dating show, so viewers of the BBC One soap were surprised when she appeared on screen heading into Peggy’s bar.
Olivia was seen glancing over to character Zack Hudson (James Farrar) in the bar.
But it’s not the first time Olivia has been in Walford.
Ahead of the start of this year’s ‘Love Island’, the star revealed she had been a double for ‘EastEnders’ actress Shona McGarty’s character Whitney Dean.
She said: “I actually did doubling for Whitney for one of the new year’s episodes.
“So yeah, that would be a very full circle moment to go on and be one of the characters, even if it was just a drop in.
“I feel like I’d maybe just be the girl from Sussex. I don’t do a great Cockney accent.”
But Olivia’s star-studded connections don’t end there, as she has appeared alongside Daniel Craig in James Bond movie ‘No Time To Die’ and chatted to Jason Statham on a film set.
She said: “I did a film with Jason Statham and had a nice 10-minute convo about life.
“I’ve been a ring girl for KSI, I played a waitress in James Bond with Daniel Craig.”
Olivia has also rubbed shoulders with ‘Harry Potter’ actress Emma Watson, and former ‘Coronation Street’ star Michelle Keegan, when she was a body double for the pair.
She said: “I’ve also been a body double for Michelle Keegan and Emma Watson.”
What’s more, Olivia’s fellow ‘Love Island’ star Lana Jenkins, 25, is pals with Michelle.
The ‘Brassic’ actress wrote on Instagram last week: “So our girl @lanajenkins is going into @loveisland. Genuinely one of the nicest girls you’ll ever meet. Go and smash it darlin (sic)”

Karren Brady reveals ‘only thing’ she has learned from Apprentice contestants in 13 years

OHMYGOSSIP — Karren Brady says the “only thing” she has learned from ‘The Apprentice’ contestants in the last 13 years is how “amazed” she is by the women running around in high heels.
The 53-year-old businesswoman – who joined the show as Lord Alan Sugar’s aide in 2010’s sixth series – admitted she hasn’t picked up any tips from the wannabes on the BBC business show, apart from being constantly wowed by the female stars’ ability to dash about selling products while wearing heels.
Asked if she ever picks up any new tricks or tips from the contestants, she replied: “No. Definitely not, I’m afraid to say.
“I’ll tell you, one thing that amazes me is how the girls run around in those heels. That’s the only thing I learn.”
The show first aired in 2005, and is now in its 17th series, and Karren revealed five of the winners are now millionaires.
Quizzed on whether she would’ve relished such an opportunity when she was starting out, Karren said: “Yeah, definitely. It’s not something I’ve thought about but it’s a wonderful opportunity.
“We’re now recruiting for the next series and anybody who’s thinking about it, give it a go. It is life-changing.
“Alan [Sugar] was telling me that five of the previous winners are now millionaires.”
But Karren finds it “frustrating” when the contestants don’t work as a team to win the tasks.
She added to the Metro newspaper: “It’s only when they realise that if they work together as a team and win the tasks, then no one gets fired.
“You’d think that is logical and they’d get it right from the get-go, but they don’t.
“Instead, it’s a lot of a***-covering and that’s often where it goes wrong.
“And it’s gone wrong like that for the 17th time. So it can be quite frustrating they haven’t watched the process.”

Abbie Quinnen: I’d never say no to Love Island

OHMYGOSSIP — Abbie Quinnen would “never say no” to entering ‘Love Island’.
The 25-year-old dancer – who split from former ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ pro AJ Pritchard last September – admits it would be “fun” to be in the villa later this year.
She said: “I would never say no to Love Island! Maybe Summer 2023? Yeah, it would be fun.”
Abbie was recently romantically linked to former ‘Love Island’ star Billy Brown, but insists they are “just friends”.
She told MailOnline: “We’re not dating, we’ve actually only met a few times.
“He’s lovely but I think he has a younger mindset than me, we’re just friends.”
In October, Abbie claimed AJ dumped her after she caught him texting another woman.
The star – who was left badly burned when a YouTube stunt went wrong in January 2021 – said at the time: “I’m completely devastated and my world has fallen apart.
“AJ isn’t the person I thought he was. After everything I went through with him I thought we would be together for ever. He has been the biggest disappointment to me.”
Abbie insisted everything was normal until he flew out to South America for ‘The Challenge’ last September, on which he appeared alongside his rumoured lover Zara Zoffany.
She said: “At first we were FaceTiming every day, like normal, then he had the phone taken away from him to do the TV show…
“When he eventually got his phone back he seemed different. He wasn’t calling as much and seemed distracted.
“Then I noticed he was on his phone quite a bit and that he was messaging a girl who had been on the show with him.
“I only caught a glimpse of the message but it was along the lines of, ‘I need to talk to you, can we meet tomorrow?’
“I just questioned him asking, ‘Why are you messaging her?’ and from that moment on he was completely cold with me. It was so odd, he couldn’t give me any answers.
“He kept saying he didn’t have a clear brain, he couldn’t make any decisions and didn’t know if he wanted to be with me any more.”
In November, it was reported that AJ and Zara had split up.

Davina McCall hasn’t got time to follow her old workout routines

OHMYGOSSIP — Davina McCall hasn’t got time to follow her old workout routines.
The ex ‘Big Brother’ host admitted she is less strict with her exercise regime than in her 00s fitness video days, but tries to be “active” on days she doesn’t hit the gym.
While appearing on Sophie Ellis-Bextor’s ‘Spinning Plates’ podcast, the 55-year-old television presenter said: “Who’s got time for that? Spinning too many plates.
“But I do try to work out a minimum of three times a week. I try to have active rest days.
“For example, I went to Shoreditch today and they were like, ‘Do you want to get a car’. I said, ‘No, I want to go by Tube,’ so I did a brisk 15-minute walk to the place I was going to, a brisk 15-minute walk back and I ran down the escalator.
“I just try to be active wherever I go. I always think this might not be in a gym, but it’s certainly exercise.“If I was on a treadmill, these are good calories I’m burning here.“I try to be active on my rest days because it is all exercise, right?”
Recently, The Masked Singer’ judge – who has kids Holly, 21, Tilly, 19, and Chester, 16, with her ex Matthew Robertson, 54 – appealed to front a ‘Love Island’ for people of a certain age.
She said: “I’ve got no embarrassment or shame in emailing a TV company and going, ‘Have you thought about this? What about this? Can I do this?’
“I’m literally begging ITV to let me present mid-life ‘Love Island’.”

Rian Johnson has lots of ideas for third Knives Out film

OHMYGOSSIP — Rian Johnson has a range of ideas for the third ‘Knives Out’ movie.
The 49-year-old director confirmed that he is working on the next installment in the murder-mystery franchise as he is “excited” about another story featuring Daniel Craig’s sleuth Benoit Blanc.
Rian told Empire magazine: “I’m making the next (Benoit Blanc movie) next, because it’s the most exciting thing right now to me.
“That’s served me really well. I feel like any movie I’m making, I need to be making it because I can’t imagine doing anything else. I’m jumping into the next Benoit Blanc next because I can’t think about another story.”
Johnson revealed that he is still in the planning stage for the third movie but has said it will be “very, very different” from the recent sequel ‘Glass Onion’.
The ‘Looper’ filmmaker said: “I’ve got a big cloud of ideas, but it hasn’t all snapped into focus yet. It’s exciting, though, and it’s very, very different from this one. That’s what I’m excited about.”
Rian explained how he goes about making the ‘Knives Out’ movies and reveals that he prioritises a good story rather than the murder itself.
He said: “I start structurally. I start working in notebooks. I don’t start with a crime, I start with the structure of the story, and what the audience’s journey is actually going to be through the story. Which has to do with the crime, but more than that, it has to do with who we care about and why.
“That’s great, as opposed to, ‘Let’s come up with a great murder’, where you’ll drive yourself insane trying to do it.”

Bradley Cooper is ‘terrified’ of Maestro role

OHMYGOSSIP — Bradley Cooper has described ‘Maestro’ as the “most terrifying” film of his career.
The 48-year-old star will portray the acclaimed conductor Leonard Bernstein in the biopic and is amazed by how difficult the profession is.
In a Focus Features roundtable with ‘Tar’ star Cate Blanchett and director Todd Field, Bradley said: “Having worked on a project in the same world (as ‘Tar’), the level of respect that I have for that world and that podium, it is the most terrifying thing I’ve ever experienced.
“And it’s so odd because so many people – I don’t know if you’ve come across this – but people that I have met in the last five years have said, ‘Well, what is it that conductors even do? Aren’t you up there sort of doing like this?'”
Bradley – who is also directing the Bernstein biopic – added: “And my answer is, ‘It’s the absolute hardest thing you could ever want to do. It is impossible.'”
The ‘A Star Is Born’ actor had high praise for Blanchett and Field for making conducting look easy in ‘Tar’.
He said: “Not only did you make the conducting look easy, but the rehearsal. The rhythm of the rehearsal and the way you wrote and filmed it was just so appetising on every level as a viewer. It was truly mind-blowing… There’s no one else who could ever play that role (of Lydia Tar).”
Steven Spielberg and Martin Scorsese are both serving as producers on ‘Maestro’, which will be released this year on Netflix.
Spielberg had considered directing the flick but ultimately stepped aside to allow Bradley to continue his work behind the camera following his acclaimed directorial debut on the 2018 remake of ‘A Star Is Born’.

Channing Tatum has rights to Ghost remake

OHMYGOSSIP — Channing Tatum has the rights to a ‘Ghost’ remake.
The 42-year-old actor has revealed his Free Association production company has the rights to the hit 1990 romantic fantasty movie, and he is looking into the idea of a reboot.
Speaking to Vanity Fair magazine, he said: “We actually have the rights. Yeah, we have the rights to ‘Ghost.’ ”
Tatum told the publication that the cmopany is trying to pull together a remake of the film, with the actor himself potentially taking on Patrick Swayze’s lead role.
However, he added: “But we’re going to do something different,” acknowledging the problematic stereotypes in the original.
He explained: “I think it needs to change a little bit…”
The film was directed by Jerry Zucker and saw Swayze star as a banker who was murdered and appears as a ghost trying to save his girlfriend – played by Demi Moore – from his enemies.
He’s helped by Whoopi Goldberg’s psychic Oda Mae Brown, a role which earned her an Academy Award for best supporting actress.
The film was nominated for five Oscars, including best picture, and took home the prize for original screenplay.
It also enjoyed huge success at the box office, pulling in $505 million worldwide and becoming the biggest film of the year, as well as the third highest-grossing movie ever at the time.
Next month, Tatum will star in ‘Magic Mike’s Last Dance’, and he previously teased that the upcoming male stripper flick will be “wild”.
He said: “We’re gonna go big. I mean truly, we’re not gonna leave anything on the bench.
“We’re taking it out, we’re putting it on stage, it’s gonna be wild.
“I was like, ‘Why are we going to make a third one if not just go really, really, really for the stars?’ ”

Simon Cowell ‘is planning animal spin off to Britain’s Got Talent’

OHMYGOSSIP — Simon Cowell is reportedly planning an animal spin-off to ‘Britain’s Got Talent’.
Following last month’s ‘Ultimate Magician’ one off, producers are said to be thinking about potential themes for another special, and the AGE-year-old media mogul’s love for animals could lead to a pet-based show.
An insider told The Sun newspaper’s TVBiz: “Simon has long been a fan of the animal acts on ‘Britain’s Got Talent’, so nobody was surprised when the notion of a furry friends special was raised.
“‘Ultimate Magician’ proved there’s an appetite for these spectacular showcases, so why not?
“There are a couple of ideas on the table but the animals are leading the way at the moment.”
Whatever the chosen theme is, fans will be interested in finding out how the judging panel will come together.
There have been reports former ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ star Bruno Tonioli is set to replace David Walliams on ‘BGT’, and his fellow panellist Craig Revel Horwood is excited to see his friend in the running.
Asked about the speculation, he said: “I would love to say he is, but I believe he’s up against Alan Carr as well so I think they’re juggling and they’re going to save it as a surprise, so I in fact don’t know.
“And Bruno is very secretive with me, darling, so he will never be honest with me or tell me the truth. So I really don’t know.
“But I would love to see Bruno back on our screens and I think it’s a great position to have so I wish him all the very best if he is in the running for it because I think he’d be wonderful to get that energy back on the telly.”
Bruno has recently appeared on ‘Dancing with the Stars’ in the US, but he’s now been made a lucrative offer to return to British TV.
A source explained: “Sealing the deal was always down to him being presented with an offer enticing enough to make a commitment to the show.
“After intense negotiations, they’ve managed to reach an agreement that will now see him return to prime-time Saturday night TV in the UK.”

BBC apologise as sex noises are heard during FA Cup broadcast

OHMYGOSSIP — The BBC have apologised after sex noises could be heard during live TV coverage of the FA Cup.
Gary Lineker was leading the broadcast of Wolves’ third round replay against Liverpool on BBC One on Tuesday night (17.01.23) when moaning sounds were heard.
The TV presenter and former footballer appeared to see the funny side of it, saying: “Somebody’s sending something on someone’s phone, I think.
“I don’t know whether you heard it at home.”
After the game had got underway, Gary took to Twitter to share a picture of a mobile phone with tape on.
He tweeted: “Well, we found this taped to the back of the set. As sabotage goes it was quite amusing. [laughing emojis]”
Gary later had viewers in hysterics when he described the only goal of the game as a “screamer”.
He said: “Harvey Elliott’s goal was a screamer, which is not the only one we’ve had tonight!”
Gary later tweeted: “Most fun I’ve had in years.”
Despite his enjoyment, the BBC said sorry to viewers.
The BBC said: “We apologise to any viewers offended during the live coverage of the football this evening.
“We are investigating how this happened.”
Gary later appeared on ‘Newsnight’ to speak about the prank, and said the BBC have “nothing to [be sorry] for”.
He said: “We’ve certainly got nothing to [be sorry] for.
“If you told me this morning that tonight I’d be on ‘Newsnight’ talking about a porn scandal. I would have been terrified.”
YouTube prankster Daniel Jarvis has claimed responsibility for the stunt.

Vin Diesel won’t appear in Avatar sequels

OHMYGOSSIP — Vin Diesel will not appear in the ‘Avatar’ films.
The 55-year-old actor visited the set in 2019 and later that year told how he was “doing ‘Avatar’, but producer Jon Landau has now confirmed he isn’t in the sequels.
He told Empire magazine: “Vin was a fan.
“He came in, visited the set one day to see what we were doing and people took that out of context.”
In April 2019, Diesel teased that he had joined the franchise when he shared a video of himself on set alongside director James Cameron.
Speaking in the clip, the ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ star said: “It’s long overdue, there is one person in Hollywood I’ve always wanted to work with and learn from, and so, all things come, I guess, to those that wait.”
The ‘Titanic’ director then quipped: “We’re actually gonna give him the flashy thing from ‘Men In Black’ when he leaves here so he has no memory whatsoever of what he’s seen.”
The ‘Fast and Furious’ star captioned the video: “And the journey continues… #Blessed #Grateful #Avatar.”
Later that year, Diesel insisted he was part of ‘Avatar’, and one of the reasons was his friendship with Zoe Saldana, who portrays the lead role of Neytiri.
He said at the time: “Probably my favourite in the whole cast [and] the closest in my family is Zoe Saldana
“Hence ‘Avatar’. Hence why I’m doing ‘Avatar’, or one of the reasons.”
Saldana and Sam Worthington reprised their roles as Neytiri and Jake Sully for the second film in the franchise, ‘Avatar: The Way of Water’, which dropped in December.

Tony Blackburn: Corrie producers aren’t interested in giving me a cameo

OHMYGOSSIP — Tony Blackburn has “always wanted” a ‘Coronation Street’ cameo – but he says the producers “aren’t interested”.
The 79-year-old legendary radio DJ would love to land a part in the ITV soap, but he doesn’t want a huge role and would be delighted to just be an extra in the Rovers Return sipping a pint of beer.
He said: “I’ve always wanted to be in the Rovers Return on ‘Corrie’. I don’t want a big role.
“I’d be happy to be an extra having a pint of beer in the background.
“But they don’t seem to be interested.”
Tony admits some of the ‘Corrie’ cast have even tried to get him a part on the cobbles over the years, but bosses still haven’t given him a call.
He said: “I’ve met a lot of the cast members over the years and some of them have tried to get me on the show to have a little cameo or be in the background.
“But the producers are not particularly interested.”
Tony thinks he would be a great fit in Weatherfield because he has watched nearly every episode since the soap began in 1960, and he enjoys the programme’s mix of “comedy and drama”.
He is quoted by the Daily Star newspaper’s Hot TV column as saying: “I’ve watched practically every episode since it came on air. I’m really dedicated to it.
“I love the show because it has a great mixture of comedy and drama. I’ve always been loyal to it.”
In 2019, Tony told how he put a whole day aside to catch up with 18 ‘Corrie’ episodes after missing them while on holiday, and he ended up bingeing 20 episodes in one day.
He said at the time: “When I went on holiday recently I was 18 episodes behind and I put a whole day aside to watch them all. I watched 18 and I finished around about 7.15pm and I thought, ‘Oh my goodness, there are two more coming on.’ So I watched those.
“I must be one of the few people to have watched 20 episodes of ‘Coronation Street’ back-to-back and enjoyed every one.”

Rylan Clark: I want to be with someone again

OHMYGOSSIP — Rylan Clark wants to find someone again following his marriage split.
The 34-year-old TV presenter separated from his husband Dan Neal in 2021 after six years together, and after going through a tough time, he is now keen to meet The One.
Rylan – whose real name is Ross Clark – said: “I’d like to be with someone. I would like to share, I am quite a sharer.
“I like giving and looking after people. For the past year and a half I have not been doing that and for the first time Ross has had to be on his own.
“I’m 34 and I’d never lived on my own in my life.”
Rylan is now in a “really good” place.
Speaking on ‘The High Performance Podcast’, he said: “I am now brilliant. I’m really good. The clouds started to part when I realised that I hadn’t lost something I thought I had.
“I turned a situation that I thought was awful into an opportunity. I was 34 and I realised that when something is not right, it’s not right. It wasn’t right.
“That was when things started to change. Majorly over the past year I have tried to merge my work and professional life and personal life more.”
In October, Rylan revealed his divorce left him unable to talk for a couple of weeks.
He said: “I went down to like nine stone and I am six foot four.”
The ‘Supermarket Sweep’ presenter admitted he “couldn’t eat” or “couldn’t talk for a couple of weeks”, before quipping he knew “some people would be happy to hear” that.
The former ‘X Factor’ star said the split was a “major shock” and a huge catalyst for change in his life, but he has vowed to never go back to the “worst place” he’s ever been.
He added: “Everything changed. Now, I sort of look back and I think, like, I’m glad I’ve been to the worst place I could have been. I know I can never let myself get like that again.”

Chad Stahelski directing Rainbow Six

OHMYGOSSIP — Chad Stahelski will direct Michael B. Jordan in ‘Rainbow Six’.
The 54-year-old filmmaker has been tapped to helm the Tom Clancy adaptation that is serving as an action vehicle for Jordan and is a follow-up to the 2021 film ‘Without Remorse’.
Michael is starring in the movie and will produce with Elizabeth Raposo via the pair’s Outlier Society banner. Other producers include Akiva Goldsman and Greg Lessans via Weed Road Pictures and Josh Appelbaum and Andre Nemec through The Saw Mill banner.
The star will be reprising his role as the Navy SEAL-turned-CIA operative John Clark – one of Clancy’s most popular characters who appeared in the late novelist’s Jack Ryan series.
‘Without Remorse’ served as an origin story for Clark and was made during the pandemic before being released on Amazon Prime Video in April 2021.
Paramount plans to release ‘Rainbow Six’ in cinemas but a final decision will not be made until later in the filmmaking process.
No plot details about the movie have been revealed.
Chad is known for his work on the ‘John Wick’ franchise and has revealed that ‘John Wick: Chapter 4’ will be the longest movie in the series so far but makes the most of the additional screen time.
He said: “Look, I’ve watched this thing now, this version of the cut, close to 100 times, and another 100 by the end of the month at least. And this is the first one that we watch.
“I don’t get bored at all. It’s my own film. I know it’s weird to say, but I watch it, and I was like, ‘Oh, I’m still in the movie.’ It doesn’t take me out. I don’t ever feel like, ‘F***, just end this thing already. I can’t watch it again.’ You know what I mean?”

The ‘Stranger Things’ actress has signed up to appear in the Searchlight movie that is being directed by Geremy Jasper.
The script is being penned by Jasper with original songs written by the filmmaker and Jason Binnick.

The flick is set in a post-apocalyptic future and is an original rock opera about a farm girl on an extraordinary quest to recover a cherished family heirloom. When asked about her character’s intentions, the 20-year-old star said: “I don’t know, I think when I was filming, definitely for the earlier scenes, I had moments like where I was, ‘Oh there’s some real, real darkness in her.’ You know there is, but I think it’s just developed over time coming from this great deal of pain that she’s in.
“And I think she has no idea who she is, she’s very insecure, I think.”
