Emma Corrin signs for Deadpool 3 after ‘trying out for Wrexham FC’

OHMYGOSSIP — The Crown’s Emma Corrin has joined ‘Deadpool 3′.
The 27-year-old star will join forces with Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman in the upcoming superhero movie.
Reynolds – who portrays the titular character – wrote on Instagram: “New addition to the family!
“The Deadpool family, for clarity.
“Which is just like a real family except with less swearing… Welcome, Emma Corrin! (sic)”
Corrin joked they had actually attempted to try out for Reynolds’ Welsh soccer club Wrexham FC – which he co-owns with ‘It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia’ star Rob McElhenney – but accidentally landed a part in ‘Deadpool 3’.
They wrote: “I actually tried out for @wrexham_afc but they put me in Deadpool instead ??
HOLY S***!!! beyond honoured to join this bonkers family thank you so much for having me @vancityreynolds @slevydirect I can’t wait (sic)”
Reynolds joked: “It is the customary second prize.”
It’s not yet been confirmed who Corrin will portray in the movie, but they are expected to star as a villain.
Last year, it was revealed Jackman will reprise his role of Wolverine in ‘Deadpool 3’, and the star recently admitted he requires six months to get in shape to revisit his iconic ‘X-Men’ character.
He said: “I’ve learned you can’t rush it. I’ve learned that it takes time.
“So, we have six months from when I finish [Broadway’s ‘The Music Man’] to when I started filming. And I’m not doing any other work. I’m going to be with my family and train. That’s going to be my job for six months.”
Director Shawn Levy recently promised there will be “hardcore” violence in ‘Deadpool 3’.
Levy said: “We are writing, rewriting, developing, prepping ‘Deadpool’ every day now.
“It is such a blast to laugh every day. It is so delicious to hear and write and come up with these scenes where people are just talking foul. And the violence is in your face and hardcore, and it’s very much a ‘Deadpool’ movie.”

Alan Carr addresses Britain’s Got Talent reports

OHMYGOSSIP — Alan Carr found it “so weird” being linked to ‘Britain’s Got Talent’.
The 46-year-old comedian was rumoured to be in the running to replace David Walliams on the ITV talent show’s panel before the role ultimately went to former ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ judge Bruno Tonioli.
Asked if there was any truth to the speculation, he told Metro.co.uk: “I was staying at home – I’m doing a sitcom based on my life – and I was just watching this all unfurl in the paper, it was very odd.
“And then Bruno [was announced as the new judge] and I thought, ‘oh good for him’, but it’s so weird.
“And then family and friends apparently said I was devastated. I’m like, I’m just sitting at home doing a jigsaw.”
Bruno, 67, was confirmed as David’s replacement last month as his new job was also revealed during clips of the taping of the first auditions for the new series of ‘BGT’.
Hosts Ant and Dec welcomed Bruno into the London Palladium auditorium alongside fellow judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon.
A clip of the taping posted on Twitter saw Dec telling fans: “Please give a huge London Palladium welcome to your four judges for this afternoon. They are Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and Bruno Tonioli!”
Ant added: “First of all, before we get underway, can we say a massive welcome to Bruno!”
He said in a statement: “Here we are, ‘Britain’s Got Talent’. I am so excited. It’s my first show, I have no idea what’s going to happen, but I’m sure it’s going to be brilliant.”
Bruno has been filming auditions at The London Palladium alongside fellow panellists Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon, and Simon Cowell, who may need to “throw out the rulebook” due to Bruno’s antics.
Amanda recently said: “He’s a wonderful ball of energy and in a good way he’s already broken every rule.
“So much so that Simon will probably have to throw out any rulebook this year.
“It’s going to be a brilliant series. We’ve only filmed auditions in London so far but we can’t wait to get to Manchester for the first time since the pandemic hit.”

Here We Go to return for 2 more series

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Here We Go’ is to return for two more series.
The BBC One comedy, which is created by and stars ‘After Life’ actor Tom Basden, will be back for more episodes, with Jim Howick, Katherine Parkinson, Alison Steadman, Freya Parks, Jude Collie, Mica Ricketts and Tori Allen-Martin confirmed to reprise their roles.
The series will continue to follow the Jessops’ successes and failures as they try and navigate life’s many challenges.
Tom said: “I’m absolutely delighted to bring the relentlessly chaotic Jessop family back to BBC One for more homespun triumphs and disasters, and can’t wait to work with such a brilliant and hilarious cast once again.”
Josh Cole, Head of Comedy, BBC Studios, added: “We’re thrilled that the BBC have ordered more of this ‘comic masterpiece’. The Telegraph’s words not mine, and the papers never lie.
“Tom Basden’s scripts are exceptional, we can’t wait to be back in The Jessops lives for two more series.”
The sitcom originally began as a pilot called ‘Pandemonium’, which aired amid the coronavirus pandemic in December 2020.
A full series then aired last year, and Tom admitted he always had Katherine in mind for the role of matriarch Rachel Jessop.
Speaking last year, he said: “When I wrote the pilot I did have Katherine in mind, and with Jim and Alison, as soon as I saw them reading it I absolutely couldn’t imagine anyone else doing it, they were just so perfect for those roles.
“With Cherry, Tori’s audition was so brilliant and funny that I was really excited to write more dialogue for her and suddenly had a much better handle on the character.
“Having made the pilot I could pretty much write for the for the actors and for their voices when putting the series together, which is really helpful. Within the series, there are certain roles that I wrote with specific people in mind, such as Ray for Tim Key or Frank for Mark Williams.”

Steven Spielberg hails Tom Cruise for saving Hollywood

OHMYGOSSIP — Steven Spielberg has thanked Tom Cruise for “saving Hollywood’s ass”.
The legendary director gave the actor a huge compliment at the 2023 Oscar Nominee Luncheon on Monday (13.02.23) as he believes that the success of ‘Top Gun: Maverick’ single-handedly rescued cinema following the pandemic.
In a clip from the event that circulated on social media, Steven told Tom: “You saved Hollywood’s ass, and you might have saved theatrical distribution.
“Seriously, ‘Maverick’ might have saved the entire theatrical industry.”
Cruise, 60, had pushed for the long-awaited sequel to ‘Top Gun’ to be released in the cinema despite the temptation to bring the film out on a streaming service amid the global health crisis.
The movie’s director Joseph Kosinski admitted that it was hard to cope with the various delays to the movie but was ultimately happy that fans had the chance to see the blockbuster on the big screen.
The 48-year-old director said: “It was hard, but it would have been much worse to see the movie get released in a non-theatrical way because it is in the ‘Top Gun’ DNA to be a theatrical experience.
“That is what we designed it for, and that is what Tom was adamant we were going to wait for. So, there was no question whether we were going to wait or not. It was just: How long?”
Tom previously revealed that he doubted that he would ever make a sequel to ‘Top Gun’ after the success of the 1986 action classic.
The ‘Mission: Impossible’ actor said: “It really didn’t come close until I said I’m ready to do it. I was constantly evolving the story and characters saying. It was really the philosophy of, ‘How do I approach it? How do we approach it to create an environment where it had the potential to be something very special?'”

Ishana Night Shyamalan making directorial debut on The Watchers

OHMYGOSSIP — Ishana Night Shyamalan will make her feature directorial debut on ‘The Watchers’.
The daughter of ‘The Sixth Sense’ filmmaker M. Night Shyamalan is adapting the movie from the A.M. Shine novel of the same name.
The film tells the story of Mina, a 28-year-old artist who gets stranded in an expansive, untouched forest in western Ireland. When she finds shelter, Mina unknowingly becomes trapped alongside three strangers who are watched and stalked by mysterious creatures every night.
New Line won a competitive bidding war for the project which is slated for a global theatrical release in June 2024.
M. Night Shyamalan and Ashwin Rajan are producing through Blinding Edge Pictures. Nimitt Mankad will also produce for Inimitable Pictures and Jo Homewood is to executive produce.
Richard Brener, President and Chief Creative Officer at New Line Cinema: “We couldn’t be more excited to make Ishana’s first film with ‘The Watchers’. Equal parts visual, immersive, and terrifying, the script grips you from the first page and never lets go.”
Ishana served as a writer and director on the acclaimed Apple TV+ series ‘Servant’ which has her father as showrunner. She also worked with her dad on the films ‘Old’ and ‘Knock at the Cabin’.
Night recently explained how he couldn’t wait to see his daughter get to work behind the camera.
The 52-year-old director said: “It’s been beautiful, you know? I’ve been around long enough now. I started when I was 21, and it’s so wild. My daughter is going to start her career, at 23, in filmmaking.
“I’m like, ‘Wow, what a journey you’re about to go on!’ And of course, her journey is tied to mine in some ways. It’s a different one.”

Jeremy Clarkson confirms ‘there is a 3rd series’ of Clarkson’s Farm

OHMYGOSSIP — Former ‘Top Gear’ host Jeremy Clarkson has confirmed there is a third series of ‘Clarkson’s Farm’.
The show returned for a second series on Amazon Prime Video last week, but the future of the programme had been subject to speculation after the 62-year-old TV presenter wrote in a newspaper column that he “hated” Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex.
But after a fan tweeted Jeremy this week to say they “loved” the second series and “can’t wait” for a second season “if there is one”, he replied: “There is one.”
Last month, Jeremy revealed he emailed the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to apologise over his controversial column.
The ‘Grand Tour’ star sparked outrage in December when he wrote in his page for The Sun newspaper that he was “dreaming of the day” Meghan would be forced to “parade naked through the streets” while crowds threw excrement and shouted “shame” at the duchess, with his own daughter Emily among his critics.
Jeremy previously said he was “horrified to have caused so much hurt” and vowed to “be more careful in future”, asking The Sun to remove the column – the most complained about ever – from their website.
But in January, he issued a more lengthy apology and revealed he contacted the royal couple directly.
He wrote on Instagram: “Usually, I read what I’ve written to someone else before filing, but I was home alone on that fateful day, and in a hurry. So when I’d finished, I just pressed Send. And then, when the column appeared the next day, the landmine exploded.
“I therefore wrote to everyone who works with me saying how sorry I was and then, on Christmas morning, I e-mailed Harry and Meghan in California to apologise to them too. I said I was baffled by what they had been saying on TV but that the language I’d used in my column was disgraceful and that I was profoundly sorry.
“Over the last 30 years, I have written very nearly 5,000 newspaper and magazine columns, so it was inevitable that, one day, I’d do a Harry Kane and sky one of the damn things. Which is what happened with the piece about Meghan.”
Jeremy admitted he “felt sick” when he read his column for the first time and thinks he made the situation worse for himself for failing to add context to his remarks, which referenced a scene from ‘Game of Thrones’.
Also last month, Jeremy closed the restaurant on his farm after he faced a backlash from locals in Oxfordshire about the eatery, which he opened in a barn in a field on his Diddly Squat farm last July.

Anna Maxwell Martin to star in ITV true crime drama Delia Balmer

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Motherland’ actress Anna Maxwell Martin is to star in a new ITV true crime drama.
The 45-year-old star will take on the titular role in ‘Delia Balmer’ – which is currently a working title – and the four-part drama will tell the true story of former nurse Delia, who survived a near-fatal relationship with murderer John Sweeney.
Anna said: “Telling an important story with the excellent team from World Productions, producer Ken Horn, director Julia Ford and a brilliant cast is always an exciting proposition!
“As it is brought to life by Nick Stevens, hopefully we will do Delia due diligence.”
Actor and director Shaun Evans will play Sweeney in the ITV1 and ITVX drama.
He added: “I’ve previously worked with World Productions and ITV separately, so I’m looking forward to joining forces to tell this story.
“A story that is quite rightly told through the victim’s lens, Delia.
“We have an excellent script from Nick Stevens and I couldn’t be more delighted to work with Anna.”
The drama is written by ‘The Pembrokeshire Murders’ scribe Nick Stevens, and based on Delia’s book ‘Living with a Serial Killer’.
Delia was working as an agency nurse in London when she met Sweeney at a local pub, thinking it might be the connection she has been searching for.
After their relationship developed, he ended up carrying out a series of violent attacks on her and told her he killed his ex.
Despite being arrested, he was granted bail and sought out Delia before subjecting her to a near-fatal attack.
After evading capture, he disappeared only to return seven years later and was arrested for the murder of another girlfriend in London.
Delia then had to face Sweeney in open court, as her testimony was vital to the prosecution case against him.
Executive Producer Simon Heath added: “Delia’s story is a unique and powerful one of a woman who survived terrible violence at the hands of a man who should never have been free to commit his heinous crimes.
“Delia’s story shines a light on the failings of the legal system to deal with male violence against women and so sadly still resonates today.”

Rochelle Humes wants to present on This Morning more: ‘It’s the biggest deal’

OHMYGOSSIP — Rochelle Humes wishes she could present ‘This Morning’ more.
The singer-turned-TV presenter has been a guest host on the ITV brunchtime show since 2018, and the star admits she feels lucky to have the job because she works with the “nicest” team and counts the programme as the “biggest deal”.
She told OK!: “I wish I had time to be there a bit more – it’s exactly what you would want it to be as a fan of the show. It’s the nicest team – it’s a big family.
“I’ve always felt lucky to be a part of it. We’re all friends, it’s a nice set-up. I remember when I first got the phone call [from ITV] just after Marv and I got married. My mum had all her friends over the first morning I was on it.
“It was the biggest deal, and it still continues to be.
“And what’s not to love? You get to eat twice on the show, normally try a cocktail or two, try a bit of fashion, watch somebody sing, talk to interesting people, it’s incredible!”
The mum-of-three – who shares kids Alaia-Mai, 10, Valentina, six, and Blake, two, with husband Marvin Humes, 37 – previously rubbished rumours of a possible rivalry between ‘This Morning’ co-presenters Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby.
Speaking in 2020, she added: “It’s so silly. I don’t understand where it’s coming from. I speak as I find and I’ve honestly had such a lovely time there.
“When Holly was in the jungle and I was filling in for three months with Phil, I owe a lot of what I learnt to that guy.”

Adam Thomas: My late dad’s spirit is inside my pet dog

OHMYGOSSIP — Adam Thomas believes his late dad’s spirit is inside his pet dog.
The ‘Waterloo Road’ star was left heartbroken when his soul singer dad Dougie James died unexpectedly aged 72 in 2020.
But Adam, 34, has coped with the loss by taking comfort in thinking his father lives on inside his pet dog Bella.
He told the Daily Star newspaper: “My dad was very close to Bella, and I feel he is within her and looking after me. He’s definitely around and I’m very thankful.
“It used to irritate me because she’s my dog but every time my dad came round she would always favour him. Animals were drawn to him.
“The way Bella looks at me sometimes are the same looks my dad used to give me like, ‘You shouldn’t be doing that’ sort of thing.
“She’s always looking at me like I’m doing something wrong and follows me everywhere.
“Bella is always there and my dad was there for me. It’s nice to hold on to things like that.”
The soap star recently reprised his role as Donte Charles in rebooted school series ‘Waterloo Road’, which saw his character’s wife Chlo (Kate Griffiths) die in the premiere episode.
Adam admitted he could relate to his character’s grief in the storyline, and believes it could’ve been a message from his dad.
He added: “Everything happens for a reason.
“The storyline came at the right time for me – maybe that was a message from my dad.
“I didn’t realise how much I was grieving until I did the research into the character.
“I always used to talk about my dad, then when he passed, I blocked it out as though it never happened.
“I’m very thankful the storyline came around when it did because not only has it helped me, but other people.
“I get loads of messages from people saying thank you for the storyline so if we can help people along the way, happy days.”

Lady Gaga unveils a glimpse of Joker: Folie a Deux character

OHMYGOSSIP — Lady Gaga has shared a first-look image of her ‘Joker: Folie a Deux’ character.
The 36-year-old actress and singer is set to play Harley Quinn in the sequel to the hit film ‘Joker’ and a new close-up shot sees Gaga holding the face of co-star Joaquin Phoenix – who will reprise his role as Arthur Fleck/Joker.
Todd Phillips is returning to direct the sequel that he co-wrote with Scott Silver. The movie is set to be released in October 2024 and will feature Zazie Beetz, Brendan Gleeson and Harry Lawtey as additional cast members.
Harley Quinn has been played by Margot Robbie in three movies but the Australian star is looking forward to Gaga’s turn as the Joker’s love interest and loves the idea of the character being passed around by “great actors”.
She said: “It makes me so happy because I said from the very beginning, all I want is for Harley Quinn to be one of those characters, the way Macbeth or Batman always gets passed from great actor to great actor.
“And I feel like in not so many cases are they female characters.
“Queen Elizabeth I, but like beyond that — which I got to have a crack at as well, which I was honoured to do. I was like, ‘Wow, Cate Blanchett did Queen Elizabeth I. Now I get to.'”
Meanwhile, Brendan revealed that he had joined the movie to have the chance to work with Phoenix again after the pair collaborated on the 2004 film ‘The Village’.
He said: “It wasn’t the material, which is a great way to get me out of having to answer any questions about the criteria.
“It was the achievement of the first film. I worked with Joaquin before on ‘The Village’… And so I knew him from then.”

Christine Lampard: I thought I was having a stroke on Dancing On Ice

OHMYGOSSIP — Christine Lampard worried she was suffering a stroke on ‘Dancing on Ice’ when she couldn’t move her arms.
The 44-year-old presenter co-hosted the ITV ice-skating show alongside Phillip Schofield for three series between 2012 and 2014, and she has now recalled the harrowing experience where she believed she was suffering from the life-threatening medical condition when she was getting her make-up done before a live show.
While guest hosting talk show ‘Lorraine’, in place of Lorraine Kelly today (15.02.23), Christine said: “It got so bad, I genuinely had a moment where I thought I was having a stroke.
“I had the whole aura thing, it was almost like I couldn’t move my arms. They were moving but it was like my brain wasn’t connecting with them – I thought, ‘This can’t be a migraine, it’s too bad.’
“But it was. It can be so debilitating.”
Dr Amir Khan featured on the ‘Lorraine’ segment to discuss migraines, and he explained they are much worse than just a bad headache.
In July last year, Christine admitted becoming a mother has made her anxious about her health.
The TV star – who has daughter Patricia, four, and 23-month-old son Freddie, with her former footballer husband Frank Lampard – said: “I try and be chilled but it’s made me much more anxious. It’s created a form of health anxiety in me.
“Suddenly I think, ‘I can’t be ill because I’ve got to be here for you’. I have a constant worry about them – if I could zip them up in a NASA spacesuit it would be wonderful.
“I’ve become that mum, I think, ‘You’re so precious, I’m here to protect you.’ I’ve become a bit more stressed but it’s all for the love of them.”
The ‘Loose Women’ presenter previously revealed how she suffered a near-death experience as a child by almost drowning in a pool.
She said: “I nearly drowned when I was about seven or eight.
“I remember dad literally pulling me out of the swimming pool, and I remember that feeling.”

Idris Elba puts an end to James Bond speculation

OHMYGOSSIP — Idris Elba has definitively ruled himself out of playing James Bond.
The 50-year-old actor has long been tipped as a replacement for Daniel Craig as 007 but has seemingly ended the rumours for good as he promotes his new movie ‘Luther: The Fallen Sun’.
Speaking at the World Government Summit in Dubai on Tuesday (14.02.23), Idris said: “You know, a lot of people talk about another character that begins with ‘J’ and ends with ‘B’, but I’m not going to be that guy. I’m going to be John Luther. That’s who I am.”
Idris is reprising his role as DCI John Luther in the film continuation of the BBC detective series and has hinted that the big screen production will be “very dark”.
The ‘Beast’ star said: “It’s very dark. We’ve been working on the TV show for about 10 years and so the natural ambition is to take it to the big screen, and so we’re here with the first movie.”
Idris previously revealed that he wants ‘Luther: The Fallen Sun’ to be the beginning of a James Bond style action franchise.
He said of the movie: “It’s incredible, it’s like graduating. The television show ran a natural course, we did five seasons and each one of them shape-shifted but kept an audience captivated for 10 years. The graduation point is where we get to take that Luther character and elevate him to the big screen with a wider spectrum of scale, stories we can tell, maybe even take it international in terms of who Luther is.
“Also what I’m happy about is that I saw the film, we shot the film, and if you’ve never seen an episode of Luther you can still be invited into the first chapter of the film series, I’m hoping that this movie literally becomes my Bond, everyone talks about Bond but, for me, it’s Luther.”

Jessie Wynter misses Will Young on Love Island

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Love Island’s Jessie Wynter has confessed to missing Will Young.
The personal trainer admitted that speaking to Frankie Davey has made her realise just how much she misses Will.
She shared: “It’s making me miss Will. Talking to him I just think my heart’s really closed off.
“Yesterday I was thinking a lot about what they’re doing in the Villa and I was starting to feel that jealousy feeling and being like…”
Jessie also revealed that she’s learned to trust Will during her time in the villa.
She explained: “It takes a lot for me to trust. But I feel like if what Will and I have is true he’d actually be sitting there feeling the same way.”
Jessie made the comments shortly after Will and Layla Al-Momani shared a steamy kiss.
The 23-year-old farmer and the Casa Amor bombshell locked lips after they flirted with each other on the sofa.
Talking about Will’s romance with Jessie, Layla observed: “I think you bring more to her than she brings to you.”
Will subsequently admitted that Layla could turn his head, and as the conversation continued, Will told her: “You’re making me shy now…”
Layla later asked: “Shall I call you daddy tonight?”
Will then admitted to being a “kinky boy”, adding: “There’s a lot of sexual tension, isn’t there?”
Meanwhile, Jessie previously promised to bring a bit of “energy” to the ‘Love Island’ villa.
The reality star also described herself as “a bit of a wild child”.
She added: “If there’s something I want to do, I will go and do it – no matter how many times I’m told not to. I am very much the ‘fun friend’.”

Tahar Rahim to play French-Armenian singer Charles Aznavour in biopic

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘The Mauritanian’ actor Tahar Rahim is to portray French-Armenian singer Charles Aznavour in a new biopic.
The ‘Serpent’ star will appear in ‘Monsieur Aznavour’, which will directed by singers-turned-filmmakers Mehdi Idir and Grand Corps Malade.
Shooting on the movie will start in the summer and the film is expected to be released in 2024.
Jean-Rachid Kallouche, whose Kallouche Cinema will produce the project alongside Mandarin and Compagnie, said Aznavour gave his blessing to the project before he died in 2018 aged 94.
He told Variety: “He was impressed with ‘Patients,’ and when I told him I wanted to make a film about his life one day, he said, ‘Yes’ right away.”
Kallouche revealed Aznavour had the idea for the biopic to be mainly about the first part of his life.
The producer also believes Rahim has the “same sensibility, drive and passion for their work, as well as a malicious gaze” as Aznavour, making him the ideal actor to play the part.
Aznavour’s parents fled the genocide in Armenia, ending up in France, while Rahim was born in France to a family that immigrated from Algeria.
The actor is also set to star in Sir Ridley Scott’s upcoming historical epic ‘Napoleon’.
The movie will be an original and personal look at Napoleon’s origins and his swift and ruthless rise to becoming French Emperor.
Joaquin Phoenix will play Napoleon and Vanessa Kirby will star as his wife Josephine, with the flick chronicling the pair’s addictive and often volatile relationship.
Rahim will play Paul Barras – the powerful Commissioner of the Revolutionary Army.
As well as starring in ‘The Mauritanian’ and French film ‘A Prophet’, and he also played serial killer Charles Sobhraj in TV series ‘The Serpent’.

Live-action How to Train Your Dragon movie set for 2025

OHMYGOSSIP — A live-action ‘How to Train Your Dragon’ movie is set to hit cinemas on March 14, 2025.
Fans of the hit animated trilogy will be thrilled to hear that writer and director Dean DeBlois has penned a new script for the flick, Variety reports.
The original ‘How To Train Your Dragon’ came to screens in 2010 and was a considerable success.
The movie introduced Hiccup (Jay Baruchel), a misfit teenager who studies at a dragon-fighting school – and he tries to prove that he is a true Viking.
And news of a live-action adaptation based on the books by Cressida Cowell comes after DeBlois insisted the animated series would end at three movies.
In 2017, he confirmed that ‘The Hidden World’ would be the last to feature in the franchise as he and his team of writers believed they’d managed to draw the blockbuster to a close for good.
He said: “We thought about it for a long time and came up with what we think is a bittersweet way to say goodbye to these characters, but the right way. You will understand why Hiccup says, as you heard in the trailer, ‘There were dragons when I was a boy.’ And by the end of this film, you’ll have answered the question [of] what could have happened to them.”
Fans were left waiting for ‘How To Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World’ to drop since 2016 when bosses announced a 2017 release date before pushing it back to 2018 and then delaying it until 2019.
In 2015, DreamWorks Animation chief Jeffrey Katzenberg said the biggest issue with scheduling times was due to the restructuring of DreamWorks – the movie production company – and conceded that the three-films-a-year plan was very ambitious.
The third instalment saw F. Murray Abraham play villain Grimmel, alongside returning cast members Jay Baruchel, Cate Blanchett, America Ferrara and Kit Harington.

John Cleese won’t make Fawlty Towers reboot with BBC as he hints at Caribbean island set

OHMYGOSSIP — John Cleese isn’t making the ‘Fawlty Towers’ reboot with the BBC, and hinted he will set the show on a Caribbean island.
The 83-year-old actor is making a new series of the iconic sitcom, which spanned 12 episodes over two series from 1975 to 1979 on the BBC, but the new series won’t be made with the corporation because John doesn’t think the show will get as much “freedom”.
He said: “I’m not doing it with the BBC because I won’t get the freedom.
“I was terribly lucky before, because I was working for the BBC in the late Sixties, Seventies, and the beginning of the Eighties.
“That was the best time because the BBC was run by people with real personality who loved the medium and who were operating out of confidence, which was okay because there wasn’t so much competition.
“Then John Birt came in and said if the BBC didn’t match the viewing figures that the commercial channels were getting they’d get their license revoked.
“So then they started going for the biggest audiences and tended to go for the lowest common denominator while always denying they were doing that.”
The original two series are set in a fictional hotel in the seaside town of Torquay, but John – who is rebooting the programme with his daughter, Camilla Cleese – has hinted his character Basil Fawlty may now run a hotel on a Caribbean island.
Speaking on GB News, he added: “My daughter and I have been writing together for 16 years – which people don’t know – and she met a guy and they chatted briefly and we were all in Las Vegas together because I was doing a show with her and we had dinner and we suddenly realised that if we do a sequel, first of all it’s interesting.
“Secondly, it doesn’t rely upon Manuel – dear Andy Sachs who’s not with us anymore, and Prue Scales who has difficulty remembering stuff – and certainly almost everyone else is dead.
“When I look at old clips now all these wonderful English character actors aren’t with us anymore, so suddenly we thought that if the only continuing character is Basil, then we can come up with something surprising.
“Then we thought, ‘Where?’ Not in a small English town, but somewhere more fun and much more different – say a Caribbean island or something like that with a small bijou hotel with a few rich people coming to stay!”
Asked if the show may have a similar vibe to ‘The White Lotus’ – a comedy-drama about employees and guests of the fictional White Lotus resort chain, with the first series set in Hawaii and the second in Sicily – he added: “That’s what my wife was saying to me yesterday.
“If you put it in the Caribbean, it becomes very multi-racial.
“People in the hotel business come from everywhere, so you can bring lots of different people together. The characteristic of ‘Fawlty Towers’ was the pressure cooker atmosphere created in the hotel.
“The guy who commissioned the show, after the very first show, he said: ‘John, you‘re going to have to get them out of the hotel more.’ ”
