Jill Scott joins A League Of Their Own

OHMYGOSSIP — Jill Scott will be a new team captain on Sky’s ‘A League Of Their Own’, and will be the face of Good Morning Britain’s Women’s World Cup coverage.
The 36-year-old former footballer confirmed on ‘GMB’ on Tuesday (04.07.23) that she will be the new Blue Team captain for the Sky quiz show.
Former ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ winner Jill will also report on the upcoming 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, which is taking place in Australia and New Zealand from July 20th, for ‘GMB’, as the Lionesses look to go one better following their Euro 2022 win last year.
Jill – who came on as a sub in the Euros final when England beat Germany – said on ‘GMB’: “I’m so excited, obviously, to be out there and hopefully giving people back home a little bit of an insight into what’s going on in the games and behind the scenes.
“The fans were the reason that we brought that Euros trophy home [last year] so I really feel like the fans can make the difference.
“So with the time difference, hopefully I can provide a little bit of a connection and a good relationship between the fans and the players.”
Jill is confident England can go all the way and win the World Cup.
She said: “I really do believe that we will be the best prepared team going out there and I still believe that we can do it.
“It’s a new journey for The Lionesses, I think there’s six or seven new faces from the last tournament but with the girls like this behind them, from the Northeast, from the whole country, I really feel we can bring that World Cup back.
“I believe we can do it.”

Joe Swash vows to foster children with wife Stacey Solomon

OHMYGOSSIP — Joe Swash wants to foster children with his wife Stacey Solomon.
The TV presenter – who will host ‘Joe Swash: Teens In Care’, which sees him investigate England’s children’s care system – was so moved by the “heart breaking” situation it has motivated him to consider being a foster parent in the future.
The ex-‘EastEnders’ star- who has Rex, four, Rose, 21 months, and four-month-old Belle, with wife Stacey, while he is also dad to 15-year-old Harry from a previous relationship – will carry out his plans once his younger offspring have grown up.
He is quoted by the Daily Mirror newspaper as saying: “When the kids are old enough, we’ll think about fostering.
“We love kids and Stacey is on the same page as me. She watched my mum’s journey, she’s watched Daniel’s journey. She’s been a massive support.”
Meeting young people in care has spurred Joe to get involved, especially as his own mother Kiffy has been a foster carer for over a decade.
Joe added: “I wanted to do more for them.
“There’s not much I can do apart from shining a light on the situation and that was a real struggle. I just wanted to take them all home with me, I just wanted to parent them, but I couldn’t, which was sad.
“Anyone who met these teenagers would come away and feel guilty and feel like they’ve let them down in some way.”
Joe has called for the government to invest money in the care system, following an Independent Review Of Children’s Social Care in England.
He says: “The review suggests that if we invest £2.6billion now it will completely transform the care system and save us billions down the line.
“But the Government has said they’re putting in £200m. What’s the point of a review if you’re not going to do what it recommends? It is frustrating.”
‘Joe Swash: Teens In Care’ airs on Tuesday, 11 July 2023 at 9pm on BBC One and iPlayer.

Danny Dyer: I was nervous to leave the security of EastEnders

OHMYGOSSIP — Danny Dyer was “very nervous” to quit ‘EastEnders’ and join the cast of Australian drama ‘Heat’.
The 45-year-old actor departed his soap role as Mick Carter – who last appeared on screen on Boxing Day (26.12.22) – after nine years as the character, and he is leading the cast of new show ‘Heat’ next week.
But Danny, who will play Steve Cameron in the programme, admits it was a “huge decision” to leave the security of Soapland.
He is quoted by the Daily Mirror newspaper as saying: “It was a job that came up towards the end of my run at ‘EastEnders’. It was a huge decision and I didn’t know if I had made the right one.
“‘EastEnders’ has been such a huge part of my life – the people there and the security it brings. Then this job came up and I thought, ‘OK, this is the start of my new chapter.’ But I was very nervous.
“I hadn’t done any other acting jobs for nine years. I did other stuff, like The Wall, but this is standing on my own two feet, being the lead on something else.
“I literally wrapped on Tuesday at ‘EastEnders’. I went home, I got my suitcase, I packed a bag and left the next day to go to Australia. I was straight in the deep end.”
The ‘Football Factory’ star bonded with his Scottish co-star Darren McMullen, who plays Steve’s best friend Brad Fisher, before they started filming.
He explained: “I spoke to him on Zoom. I loved the fact he’s Scottish. That made it work. It saved me having to do an Australian accent. No one wants to see that.
“I said, ‘As soon as you get here give me a call. Let’s just go out.’ And we did. We had a good booze and a good chat.”
The thriller series sees Steve and Brad’s families go on a joint holiday amid the Australian bushfire season, but secrets and lies are soon revealed.

Kerry Katona: Love Island is so fake I can’t believe it’s still going

OHMYGOSSIP — Kerry Katona has hit out at ‘Love Island’, after her daughter Lilly-Sue McFadden turned it down twice.
The 20-year-old offspring of the former Atomic Kitten singer and ex-Westlife star Brian McFadden was headhunted by ‘Love Island’ bosses to appear on the ITV2 dating show, but she declined to go on, despite being urged by her mother.
Kerry, 42, told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “‘Love Island’ – Bore Island, it’s wrong, I can’t believe it’s still going.
“Our Lilly got asked to do it twice.
“I went ‘Do it!’, our Lilly is one of these girls, she doesn’t shave her armpits, she’s a stunning girl, she’ll sit there with a rollie looking a mess, I went ‘Just go on there and show kids our Heidi’s age that it’s OK to be normal.’
“Our Lilly said no because she’s not one to stroll around in a bikini, it’s just not her.”
Kerry – who is no stranger to reality TV, having appeared on various shows including ‘I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!’, ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ and ‘Dancing On Ice’ – hit out at ‘Love Island’, claiming it is “fake”.
She said: “It’s all fake, I’ve not watched it, I can’t believe it’s still going – I think it’s shocking.
“It’s fake and foggy, it gives young kids the wrong impression and wrong idea – it’s like these filters on Instagram, the ones that make you look drop-dead gorgeous, they should be banned.
“They should be taken off, that’s affecting my kids, that’s affecting so many teenagers.”
The mum-of-five launched her Only Fans platform in May 2020, but she is against the use of filters on her site.
She said: “I think it’s all fake and false, our Heidi won’t have a picture taken without hiding her face, I just think it’s wrong.
“Keep the filters where you’ve got your ears and fire coming out of your mouth but that filter which makes you look completely different and drop-dead gorgeous is wrong.
“I don’t use filters, I don’t filters on OnlyFans, I never work up unless I’ve got to for work if I’m on telly or on a photo shoot.”

UK’s wealthiest solo TV presenter revealed with £18.6m fortune

OHMYGOSSIP — Bradley Walsh has become the UK’s wealthiest solo TV presenter with an £18.6 million fortune.
New figures from ‘The Chase’ host’s WingIt Productions company have revealed Bradley’s assets increased by £3.5 million in the past 12 months.
A TV insider told The Sun newspaper’s TV Biz column: “Bradley really is at the top of his game right now and is raking it in. He’s firmly established himself at the top of his profession and is the go-to man for both the BBC and ITV.
“And that shows no signs of slowing down either, as viewers can’t get enough of him.”
Bradley is only behind Ant and Dec’s combined fortune as the UK TV host with the most money.
As well as presenting ‘The Chase’ and spin-off ‘Beat the Chasers’, Bradley also stars in ‘The Larkins’ and has previously appeared in ‘Doctor Who’ and ‘Coronation Street’.
What’s more, he has a new project coming up alongside his son Barney Walsh, with the pair set to co-host the ‘Gladiators’ reboot for the BBC.
The TV star’s wife, Donna, previously served as the head choreographer for the ‘Gladiators’ cheerleaders on the original series, and Bradley can’t wait to be a part of the reboot.
Bradley previously said: “I can’t believe that I’ve been asked to be part of this iconic show.
“I used to sit backstage, or in the audience, every week watching my wife be part of this juggernaut and now I get to co-host a new version of ‘Gladiators’.
“Saturday night family entertainment at its best.”

Fiona Phillips suffering Alzheimer’s aged 62: ‘I hope I can help find a cure’

OHMYGOSSIP — Fiona Phillips is suffering from Alzheimer’s aged 62.
The broadcaster – whose parents were killed by the degenerative disease – received the news a few years ago after being stricken with months of brain fog and anxiety but has only now opened up about the diagnosis.
She told the Daily Mirror, for whom she writes a regular column: “This disease has ravaged my family and now it has come for me.
“And all over the country there are people of all different ages whose lives are being affected by it – it’s heartbreaking.
“I just hope I can help find a cure which might make things better for others in the future.”
It is understood Fiona is undergoing a potentially revolutionary trial with a new drug which experts hope will slow or possibly reverse the illness for millions of sufferers.
Former GMTV host Fiona added she thought she wouldn’t get the disease until she was in her 80s.
She said: “It’s something I might have thought I’d get at 80. But I was still only 61 years old.
“I felt more angry than anything else because this disease has already impacted my life in so many ways; my poor mum was crippled with it, then my dad, my grandparents, my uncle. It just keeps coming back for us.”
Fiona is being supported by her ITV editor husband Martin Frizell, 64, who she married in 1997 and with whom she has children Nat, 24, and 21-year-old Mackenzie.
She added it was a “b****y horrible” reality to face, especially after she thought the anxiety she was suffering was linked to the menopause.
After a course of HRT, her symptoms continued and she was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s.
She is now taking part in a trial of the drug Miridesap at University College Hospital, London.
Fiona’s dad Neville died in February 2012 from the condition, and her mum Amy was killed by the disease in May 2006 – with their deaths prompting Fiona to become a prominent campaigner for Alzheimer’s Research UK.

Fiona Phillips was ‘so worried’ people would judge her for Alzheimer’s battle

OHMYGOSSIP — Fiona Phillips was worried people would “judge” her for her Alzheimer’s battle.
The 62-year-old broadcaster – whose parents both died due to the degenerative disease – was diagnosed herself a few years ago after suffering with brain fog and anxiety, and now she has opened up about her diagnosis.
She told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “No one has known because I haven’t been blaring out loud, ‘oh yeah, I’ve got Alzheimer’s.’
“And I have been so worried people will judge me or put labels on me. It’s a horrible b***** secret to divulge.”
The former GMTV presenter – who is being supported by her husband, ITV editor Martin Frizell – insisted the public have the wrong idea about people battling the disease.
She added: “There is still an issue with this disease that the public thinks of old people, bending over a stick, talking to themselves.
“But I’m still here, getting out and about, meeting friends for coffee, going for dinner with Martin and walking every day.”
Fiona revealed she won’t “take the Tube” anymore due to feeling “anxious” amid her health battle.
She said: “And that’s awful, but this disease takes things away from you. It takes things away from who you are and the things you have always done.
“There are things I’m slightly scared about now – it is like being a child again and I just feel vulnerable, I think… And that’s not me at all.”
Fiona – who has children Nat, 24, and 21-year-old Mackenzie, with her husband of 26 years – is currently taking part in a trial of the drug Miridesap at University College Hospital, London.
Given her experience with both her parents, she is in talks to potentially make a documentary with ITV to help encourage conversation.
She explained: “There are so many people suffering with this awful disease around the world – and so many others who may not even know they are in the early stages of it.
“I just want to do everything I can to make it something that people are more prepared to talk about – and, crucially, something that people seek help for as early as possible.”

Chris Kamara is ‘amazed’ by improvement after experimental treatment

OHMYGOSSIP — Chris Kamara is “amazed” by the improvement in his speech since he underwent experimental treatment in Mexico.
The 65-year-old presenter stepped away from his Sky Sports duties over a year ago after being diagnosed with apraxia of speech, but he recently spent a month in South America, where he underwent various treatments and was monitored by experts, and he couldn’t be happier with the results.
He told the Daily Star newspaper: “I’ve been in Mexico for some experimental treatment. It was amazing. I was there for a month and now I’m on the mend.”
“At first, I wouldn’t have believed the results would be this good. But the proof is in the pudding. The situation before and after is like chalk and cheese.
“The improvement has been amazing. It’s all going well.”
The ‘Ninja Warrior’ presenter is even ready to get back into the “full swing” of work, and is reteaming with his old Sky Sports colleague Jeff Stelling for a new venture.
He said: “I’m doing a podcast with Ben Shephard and a TV show with Jeff Stelling.
“Hopefully I’ll be in full swing very soon.”
In December, Chris, who is affectionately known as Kammy, revealed his condition had left him “so weak” and struggling with his balance.
Speaking on ITV documentary ‘Chris Kamara: Lost For Words’, he revealed: “The part of my brain that’s packed in affects my muscles. I’m so weak now. Coordination is not very good. Balance is not very good.
“Everybody talks about the speech side of it, but there’s also other factors to go with it. I can’t carry shopping.”
Despite his debilitating disorder, a resilient Kammy perseveres with weekly coordination exercises in hopes of improving his condition.
He added: “These are a way for me to get stronger.”
The former footballer admitted that some days he has no issues with being able to communicate, but he doesn’t get any warning of when he will have a bad day when his words won’t come out.
He shared: “Sometimes I think, it’s fine today, no problem. Then I go downstairs and talk to [my wife] Anne and the message from the brain to the mouth won’t come out right. So it would be another day of anguish, thinking what should I do? Should I go to work today, or should I not?”

James Gunn clarifies Superman: Legacy stance on Clark Kent origin story

OHMYGOSSIP — James Gunn has confirmed Clark Kent’s origin story won’t be told in ‘Superman: Legacy’.
The DC Studios co-CEO – who is leading the charge for a new era of the DC Universe alongside Peter Safran – has clarified his plans for the upcoming Superman movie, which will help kickoff the ‘Gods and Monsters’ phase of the big screen franchise reboot.
Taking to his BlueSky social media page, he responded to a fan asking about the idea of him using the ‘All-Star Superman’ storyline as inspiration and said: “I think we’ve seen his origin enough in film at this time!”
David Corenswet and Rachel Brosnahan were recently confirmed as the new Superman/Clark Kent and Lois Lane in ‘Superman: Legacy’, with Gunn at the helm.
He and Safran made the decision after shooting screen tests over the weekend of 17 June, with Nicholas Hoult and Tom Brittney also in contention to play Clark Kent and his alter ego, and Emma Mackey and Phoebe Dynevor shortlisted for the Daily Planet reporter.
‘Superman Legacy’ is currently scheduled for release on 11 July 2025, with filming expected to take place next year.
Further cast members – including who will play Lex Luthor and The Authority – will be brought in in due course.
Corenswet will be the fourth actor to play Superman on the big screen, following in the footsteps of Christopher Reeve, Brandon Routh, and Henry Cavill.
Cavill had been due to return for ‘Superman: Legacy’ after reprising the role for a cameo in ‘Black Adam’, but he announced in December he had been given the “sad news” that plans had changed.
In a statement shared on Instagram, he said: “I have just had a meeting with James Gunn and Peter Safran and it’s sad news, everyone. I will, after all, not be returning as Superman.
“After being told by the studio to announce my return back in October, prior to their hire, this news isn’t the easiest, but that’s life.
“The changing of the guard is something that happens, I respect that. James and Peter have a universe to build.
“I wish them and all involved with the new universe the best of luck, and the happiest of fortunes.”

Benedict Cumberbatch teases Doctor Strange return

OHMYGOSSIP — Benedict Cumberbatch will return as Doctor Strange next year.
The 46-year-old actor has played the character in six Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) movies since making his debut in 2016’s ‘Doctor Strange’, and teased he’s set to don the iconic costume once again, though didn’t make it clear if it would be for a follow-up to 2022’s ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’, or another film set in the comic book world.
Speaking during the JW3 Speaker Series, he teased: “There are some Marvel capers in the making next year.”
It is possible the actor could have been referring to an appearance in the recently-delayed ‘Avengers: The Kang Dynasty’.
However, a post-credits scene in ‘Multiverse of Madness’ saw Doctor Strange told he had “caused and incursion and we’re going to fix it” by newly-introduced character Clea, played by Charlize Theron.
And the film’s writer, Michael Waldron, later told Gizmodo: “We knew that we wanted to introduce Clea. She’s Strange’s great love in the comics and it was felt to me like Strange wasn’t at the point at the start of our movie where he was ready to meet the love of his life.
“It felt like we had to close the loop with he and Christine Palmer. And so after she gives him her wisdom to not be afraid of loving someone, then it felt like we were right to tease what could be eventually with he and Clea.”
In the 2022 sequel, Benedict took on multiple versions of the character and he relished the challenge.
Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, he previously said: “I think it’s same-same, but different.
“You have to get a correlation so that you know you’re watching an iteration that basically through perhaps choices or circumstance and environment has had a different outcome.
“But it’s a nice sort of loop feeding into self-discovery and self-therapy for the character that we know from our universe, as to how he betters his choices or the situation.
“So it’s a fun thing to explore. It’s one of the paradoxes that a multiversal narrative will throw up, and I was excited by that challenge.”

Olivia Attwood strips off for new documentary series

OHMYGOSSIP — Olivia Attwood has stripped “as good as” nude for her new documentary series.
The former ‘Love Island’ star is returning for a second series of ‘Getting Filthy Rich’ as she explores the world of sex work, and during filming she took to the stage at a strip club in front of real life customers.
She told The Sun newspaper: “I had a very hard time with that one, going back and forth. Are people just gonna judge me, are they gonna think this or think that?
“But how can I say that I’m immersed in this world if I don’t put my money where my mouth is and I don’t actually strip?
“I basically dance in a club full of customers – I don’t get fully nude, obviously, but as good as.”
Olivia admitted the experience was “scarier” than she expected, and she “underestimated how intimidating” it would be while gaining “such a huge newfound respect” for the dancers.
In the first series of her ITV2 show, she joined OnlyFans and had a clothed cameo role in a porn film.
However, the 32-year-old star admitted her husband Bradley Dack told her he “hated” the idea of her taking her clothes off in front of other men.
She said: “Brad would never say to me don’t do something, because that’s just not how this household runs, as I’m sure you lot can imagine.
“But he was like, as your fiance I hate that. I hate the fact that there’ll be men in there looking at you in your underwear.
“And I was like, but do you understand that I feel like I have to do this to get experience of this?”
In the end, her man was “very supportive”, and the response to the first series meant the new episodes can push things further with other topics including sex toys and dominatrixes.
She added: “The reaction gave us the confidence to know that we could push the boundaries a little bit more.”

Gladiators legend Jet wanted to return for the BBC reboot

OHMYGOSSIP — Jet wanted to return to ‘Gladiators’ for the BBC reboot.
The iconic 90s show – which was hosted by Ulrika Jonsson, 55, and featured referee John Anderson, 91 – is returning to screens with father-and-son duo Bradley, 63, and Barney Walsh, 25, at the helm, and original star Jet would love to make a comeback.
The 53-year-old personality – whose real name is Diane Youdale – told RadioTimes.com on behalf of ICE 36: “I was contacted to go and sit in the audience and have a few interviews. I would have liked to have done consultancy work behind-the-scenes because I’m a psychotherapist and I also know the arena inside out.”
Diane was keen to get involved with “background interviews” with people going on the show.
She added: “I’d love to have done some background interviews about what’s going on for you psychologically, how you go about going into that arena and approaching that event and this contender whose proven themselves to be awesome. I’d love to have done that.”
Unfortunately, it looks like an on screen role is unlikely but she’s still “excited” to see the show get a fresh start on the BBC.
She said: “The presenter slots are all taken… The father and son duo are quite good together in front of the camera for a slightly more critique, comedic value.
“The referees are going to be excellent and hopefully very serious because it is a competition and it’s an athletic arena so it needs to have the gravitas and the respect it deserves. The contenders are going to be excellent. There’s no doubt about it.
“Today’s sports science, nutrition and functional fitness will mean that any athlete who has been selected for the show are going to be very good, so the Glads have to be that much more, they really do.”

Dame Joan Collins ‘set for Louis Theroux Interviews’

OHMYGOSSIP — Dame Joan Collins is reportedly set to be Louis Theroux’s next high profile interview.
The former ‘Dynasty’ star, 90, will sit down for a chat with the 53-year-old broadcaster to open up on her career – which has spanned nearly eight decades – as well as her life in her homes in London and St Tropez for his BBC Two series, ‘Louis Theroux Interviews’.
A telly insider told The Sun newspaper’s TVBiz column: “Convincing Dame Joan to sign up was no mean feat. It’s understood she didn’t want a fuss making of the fact she’s recently turned 90.
“But there’s no doubt that’s partly a factor in wanting to do the interview.”
It is believe that Joan – who is married to her fifth husband Percy Gibson, 58, – was finally convinced by Louis’s “intimate” sit-down with Dame Judi Dench in her home.
The source continued: “In the end, Dame Joan was partly convinced by the fact Louis interviewed fellow acting Dame, Judi Dench, last year.
“That also saw him go inside her home, which only led to a more intimate chat and great viewing. Producers will be hoping to recreate that vibe.”
The ‘Land of the Pharaohs’ star – who has son artist Alexander, 57, and Tara, 59, with her late ex Anthony Newley and daughter Katyana, 51, with her ex the late Ron Kass – recently complained that showbiz parties had become “dull” as everyone feared being “cancelled”.
Joan – who was also married to Peter Holm, 76, and the late Maxwell Reed – told Best magazine: “The parties I go to now are kind of…dull.
“They are red carpet things in which everybody does behave. If you don’t behave now you are going to get cancelled.”
And Louis – who has also grilled celebs like Katherine Ryan, 40, Stormzy, 29, and Rita Ora, 32 – has reflected on “how much an of an outsider” he used to feel in his first forays into television in the 90s and 00s.
He told Radio Times magazine: “But that’s who I am, really. I would like to think that I’m still the same person, and from time to time I get little glimpses of remembering how insecure and how much of an outsider I used to feel when I was in my early and mid-20s.”

Dr Alex George slams eating disorder stereotypes and their impact on male mental health

OHMYGOSSIP — Dr Alex George has slammed eating disorder stereotypes and their damaging effects on male mental health.
The ‘Love Island’ star and medical expert, who secretly battled an eating disorder after being fat-shamed by fans, has urged men to talk more openly about their mental health.
Talking to NHS GP and media medic Dr Zoe Williams on ‘The Doctor Will Hear You Now’ podcast, Alex said: “The problem with stereotypes is that they can be helpful to have an example of how something looks, but if that becomes a diagnostic criteria, like: you’re either like this, or you don’t have it. That’s where the real issue is. One of the things that is not spoken enough about, is how much eating disorders affect men.
“We have an idea that it just affects women, and that’s not the case, we do know in terms of the diagnosis there are more diagnoses of women each year than men, but that doesn’t mean it’s not a significant number of men.
“Also, what’s interesting is that in men it can often present differently as well. It might be someone who has got a six pack, and big muscles, and looks what society would view as healthy…”
Despite the stereotype that eating disorders only effect women, according to the ‘National Eating Disorders Association’ around one in three people struggling are men, with men being less likely to seek psychological help because of stigmatisation.
He added: “It’s about the relationship with the food, the behaviour, the way that we view ourselves, and the way that we treat our own body, and weaponize food, even.
“So, that idea of whether the ‘six pack’ guy that’s got big muscles, is really healthy, well actually, he could have a very unhealthy relationship with food, he could be over exercising, overtraining, maybe using substances such as steroids, which have serious health consequences, to achieve those goals.
“That is as much of an eating disorder as what we learned in med school to be a ‘typical’ eating disorder.”
Dr Alex George appears on the latest episode of ‘The Doctor Will Hear You Now’, out 5th July 2023.
‘The Doctor Will Hear You Now’ is produced by Insanity Podcasts, part of Insanity Group.

Robert Eggers has taken himself to the limit while directing Nosferatu

OHMYGOSSIP — Robert Eggers is pushing himself to the limit while making ‘Nosferatu’.
The 39-year-old director is helming the new take on the vampire movie and is going above and beyond in tricky filming conditions in a bid to make the picture as good as it can possibly be.
Speaking to Empire magazine, Robert said: “I’m trying to go beyond what I’m capable of.
“As always, it was a difficult shoot. Last night we were doing a scene on a ship with a lot of rain and waves, and the rain deflector, which tries to blow rain out of the lens, was breaking down and fogging.
“I spent the past several days working only with Russian sailors on a boat.”
Eggers explained how his work on last year’s historical epic ‘The Northman’ stood him in good stead for the fresh take on the story that was first adapted for film in 1922 by German director F.W. Murnau.
He said: “I’m so happy to have made ‘The Northman’ first and to have learned what I learned.
“When I think about the production plan of ‘Nosferatu’ that we had the first time around, I’m sure I would have somehow pulled it out of my butt, but it’s hard not to imagine it being a failure.”
The director collaborates with Willem Dafoe once again on the new movie and relished getting to work with the ‘Platoon’ actor.
Robert explained: “Willem’s up for anything and he’ll cut his arm off for the scene.
“He is a f****** pleasure to work with: he was in ‘The Northman’, he was in (the upcoming) ‘Nosferatu’, I hope I never made a movie without him.”

John Rhys-Davies doesn’t want a female James Bond yet

OHMYGOSSIP — John Rhys-Davies does not think the world is “ready” for a female James Bond.
The 79-year-old actor starred alongside Timothy Dalton’s 007 in the 1987 Bond film ‘The Living Daylights’ and believes that the legendary character should continue to be male following the departure of Daniel Craig.
John told Express.co.uk: “I think Bond changes with the climate. And I think the climate… I don’t think we’re ready for a female James Bond – yet.
“Because the whole concept of Bond is really male and chauvinist.”
Despite his stance, the ‘Indiana Jones’ star did defend the viewpoint of those who feel that a female Bond would be a progressive move for the long-running franchise.
John said: “Yes there are – I’m sure – there are very tough female agents in the world, but we need a Bond. We are in such a dangerous time at this moment. I just hope MI5 and MI6 are really up to it.”
When asked who he would want to replace Craig as 007, Rhys-Davies quipped: “I want Bond, James Bond.”
The Welsh actor is a huge fan of the franchise and particularly enjoyed working with the Broccoli family who look after the Bond series.
John explained: “I love Bond. I love Barbara and I loved (her late father and former 007 boss) Cubby. The whole Bond thing is one of the great experiences in filmmaking. And Cubby himself was a prince, a great Italian prince.”
Barbara confirmed earlier this year that casting for a new Bond is still yet to begin as there is no script in place for the next 007 flick.
She told LADbible: “No, we haven’t even started casting yet.
“There isn’t even a script.”
