Molly Rainford issues Strictly warning to Bobby Brazier: ‘It’ll be tougher than you think!’

OHMYGOSSIP — Molly Rainford has warned Bobby Brazier that ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ will be “tougher” than he thinks.
The 22-year-old actress finished as runner-up in last year’s edition of the BBC Latin and Ballroom competition and has been helping her ‘EastEnders’ co-star Bobby Brazier, 20, rehearse ahead of his debut on the programme when it launches on September 23 but has told him that it will be hard work.
She told The Sunday Mirror newspaper: “I had no idea Bobby was going for Strictly but when I found out, straight away I was showing him the frame.
“I joked to him, ‘How about we practice together and then you say I taught you everything you know’. So that’s what’s happening – though of course his pro partner may say different.
“My advice to him was just to enjoy it and take it all in, and to expect it to be tougher than you thought.”
The former ‘Friday Download’ star has told Bobby – who plays Freddie Slater in the BBC soap opera – to remember to take things “seriously” if he wants to impress head judge Shirley Ballas but is confident that he will do well on the show because he has the “drive” to succeed.
She added: “So I said to him, ‘You will have to take it a bit seriously at times. If you want Shirley to notice the technique, you have to give it some welly. But I’m sure he will work hard because he’ll want to get things right. He has the drive for it.
“He can come across as very laid-back but on set at ‘EastEnders’, he’s so focused and wants to get the scenes right.”
Molly – who plays Anna Knight on ‘EastEnders’ – also added that she will have “fear of missing out” when Bobby takes to the stage alongside the likes of ‘Family Fortunes’ legend Les Dennis, former ‘Coronation Street’ actress Ellie Leach, and broadcaster Angela Rippon amongst a host of others as she remembers her own time on the show.
She said: “I’m going to have major FOMO watching him perform though. The show is so hard physically, but even with all the ice baths in the world, I would still do it every year if I could.”

‘I have to be careful of raising my heartbeat into the red zone’: Stricty’s Krishnan Guru-Murthy’s genetic heart condition might set him back

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ contestant Krishnan Guru-Murthy won’t be able to train as hard as his fellow celebrities due to a genetic heart condition.
The 53-year-old journalist and broadcaster – who is best known as the main anchor of Channel 4 News, as well as reporting for the foreign affairs series ‘Unreported World’ – has hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, which means he shouldn’t allow his heart rate to rise too high, otherwise, he could “drop dead” like his two cousins.
He told The Mirror: “I even asked my cardiologist if I might drop dead live on BBC1. ‘No’, was his answer. But he couldn’t give me an absolute guarantee. I have to be careful of raising my heartbeat into the red zone; that final 15 per cent. I shouldn’t go there. It’s where people with my condition drop dead.”
Krishnan insisted he couldn’t put off trying out the Latin and ballroom show forever, because it might become “impossible” one day.
He added: “What if I kept saying no? It might not be physically possible for me to do it now, that remains to be seen. But it certainly won’t be possible in five years.”
Upon announcing he was joining the competition, he admitted he felt “surprised, delighted and slightly confused” about being asked to join the show.
He said: “I’m surprised, delighted and slightly confused to find myself taking part in ‘Strictly’ on the basis of ‘you only live once!’ and I can’t wait to start learning to dance, but I am slightly worried about my general decrepitude. I know I’m going to love it and have a brilliant time and just hope I’m not the only one enjoying my participation.”
The line-up for this year also includes Bobby Brazier, Layton Williams, Angela Rippon, and Amanda Abbington.
Layton said: “Absolutely buzzing to confirm that I will be taking part in THE most iconic dance competition in the UK! It’s time to bring it to the Ballroom. So excited to learn new skills from the best. Bring on the sequins… ALL the sequins!”
Angela commented: “Having been a fan of ‘Strictly’ since day one, and as a former presenter of Come Dancing, this will be quite an adventure for me. A scary one, considering I’m about to be 79. But I’m really looking forward to the challenge, and perhaps being able to learn to dance the Argentinian Tango!!”
And Amanda said: “I’m thrilled to have been asked to do ‘Strictly’. I’m actually really shy and self-conscious so this will be a great opportunity for me to overcome those things! Plus, I get to learn to dance which I am incredibly excited about. I’m really looking forward to the training too, I’m quite competitive as my family and friends will tell you. I can’t wait to start!”
The show returns to BBC1 on September 23, where the celebrities will be matched with their professional dancers.

Antoine Fuqua struggled shooting The Equalizer 3 in Naples

OHMYGOSSIP — Antoine Fuqua struggled with shooting scenes for ‘The Equalizer 3’ on the streets of Naples, Italy.
The director reunited with regular collaborator Denzel Washington to make the third film in the action series and they shot much of it on location in the Italian city – but Fuqua has admitted the shoot was hampered by bad weather which added to the problems of filming on real city streets.
He told The Hollywood Reporter: “Shooting on the streets of Naples in that weather — that was challenging. It’s hard to shoot there … This last one [movie] was the most difficult one. The streets of Naples are tough, and you’ve got a guy who’s really crawling barefoot in a real city with cold weather. That was tough.”
He added of working with Washington for a fifth time; “I’m honoured. I’m honoured to be able to work with Denzel five times. He’s one of the greatest actors of our time, so I’m completely honoured.”
Fuqua went on to talk about another project he has lined up – a movie about late pop star Michael Jackson – but he insisted the shoot is still a long way off because everything is on hold due to the writers and actors strikes which have brought Hollywood to a standstill.
The moviemaker added: “I’m really excited about doing the Michael Jackson movie, but it’s down the line. I’ve got a ways to go before I even get into that. So I’m just focused on where I’m at right now … I don’t know yet. It could be [my next project], but I’m not sure yet. With the strike and everything, everything is on hold.”

‘It doesn’t feel right’: Amanda Seyfried rules herself out of promoting indie movie amid Hollywood Strikes

OHMYGOSSIP — Amanda Seyfried won’t be promoting her upcoming indie movie ‘Seven Veils’ amid the Hollywood strikes.
The 37-year-old actress stars as Jeanine, a theatre director who is dealing with repressed trauma as she prepares to mount a production of the opera ‘Salome’ in Atom Egoyan’s upcoming drama.
And despite being given the go-ahead to promote the flick at the 2023 Toronto International Film Festival this week, Amanda doesn’t feel “it’s right” to do so until the actors and writers striking for better pay and conditions receive a “fair agreement”.
Announcing the decision on Instagram over the weekend, she wrote: “I am SO PROUD of this movie and it hurts my heart not to stand next to the beautiful people who helped create this special film at our @tiff_net premiere next week.”
She continued: “@sagaftra has given us a wavier to promote this fully, magically independent Canadian movie but it doesn’t feel right to head to the fest in light of the strike.”
Amanda concluded: “I can’t wait to show you all SEVEN VEILS when the time is right (and we’ve come to a fair agreement for actors and writers).”
Meanwhile, Amanda recently admitted she can feel “insecure” about her acting.
The actress stars alongside Thomas Sadoski, her real-life husband, in ‘The Crowded Room’, and Amanda revealed that she often turns to him for some feedback.
Amanda – who also stars alongside Tom Holland – told ‘Entertainment Tonight’: “I like that I can ask him if he thinks I’m doing a good job and he’ll tell me the truth, which is really nice.
“I get really insecure sometimes. Like, ‘Do you think that was good? Was that a good take? Was that good in that? Did you believe me?’ And he’ll be like, ‘Stop.'”
Amanda also previously admitted she felt she didn’t “belong” at the audition for ‘Mean Girls’.
The Hollywood star played Karen Smith in the 2004 comedy movie – but Amanda recalled feeling overwhelmed during the audition stage, which also involved Lacey Chabert, Lindsay Lohan and Blake Lively.
She told E! News: “I was in the room with Lacey and Lindsay and Blake, and I knew Lindsay and Lacey from their movies and TV, and I was just a little bit like, ‘Oh my god. What do I do? I don’t belong here ’cause I flew in from Pennsylvania or whatever.'”

Danny Cipriani takes blame for Lindsay Lohan getting punched by love rival

OHMYGOSSIP — Danny Cipriani has taken the blame for Lindsay Lohan getting punched in the face by a jealous love rival.
The sports star has lifted the lid on his brief romance with the ‘Mean Girls’ actress in the summer of 2010 – revealing she invited him to a nightclub in Los Angeles with a group of pals but it ended in disaster when Lindsay got into an altercation with a Megan Fox lookalike who was also said to have been interested in dating Danny.
In an extract from his book ‘Who Am I?’, Danny explained the trip came shortly after his split from on/off partner Kelly Brook. He wrote: “The night after Kelly calls to say she’s breaking up with me, I meet a girl who’s a dead ringer for Megan Fox, except better-looking. Within minutes, I’m professing my undying love. She works as a bottle girl in a nightclub.
“There are NFL and NBA players throwing wads of cash at her, but when she clocks off for the night, it’s me who goes back to her place.”
Days later, Danny meets Lindsay at a house party and she invites him along for her birthday night out. He went on: “It’s her birthday the next day, so she invites me to hers …
“Later, we head to the club where the Megan Fox lookalike works. We haven’t been there long when the Megan Fox lookalike marches towards us and punches Lindsay in the face. I can’t say for sure, but I think I’m to blame.”
After the bust-up Lindsay tweeted about the incident, writing: “A waitress just hit me – punched me for no reason.”
Later reports suggested the bottle girl was Jasmine Waltz – who went on to become a model and reality TV star – but she always denied hitting the actress. She previously told Radar Online: “All I have to say is that disturbed little train wreck is delusional. I did not hit her … but I’d like to.”

Kelly Brook films pilot for farming show

OHMYGOSSIP — Kelly Brook has filmed a pilot for a TV show in the style of ‘Clarkson’s Farm’.
The model/actress is following in the footsteps of Jeremy Clarkson and his popular Amazon Prime series by shooting her own show which features Kelly and her husband Jeremy Parisi attempting to harvest olives at his family’s estate in Italy – and she was thrilled to embrace her husband’s Italian roots.
In a post on Instagram, she explained: “Last autumn, my husband and I filmed a pilot on his family farm in Italy during the olive harvest and captured the absolute beauty of where he is from and the beautiful family I am now married into!
Kelly went on to reveal she doesn’t know if the pilot will become a full series, but she enjoyed making it with James Corden’s Fulwell 73 Productions.
She added: “Thank you @fulwell73productions for making this dream a reality and capturing so many wonderful moments on film! We are not sure if this pilot will ever become a TV show however we are hoping one day it might!”
The former ‘Big Breakfast’ presenter added the region is where the couple married in 2022 and they are hoping to spend more time there in the future and learn more about harvesting olives.
She went on to write: “Arpino is where we were married and is definitely a place we will be spending more time in the future and I’m looking forward to learning more about the business of olive oil farming.”
Kelly and Jeremy married in July 2022 in the Italian town of Civitavecchia with the extravagant ceremony reported to have cost around £500,000. However, their big day was almost ruined by a rainstorm which forced them to move the outdoor reception under cover.
Speaking on Vicky Pattison’s ‘The Secret To’ podcast, Kelly explained: “It was like biblical rain, you couldn’t see your hand in front of your face. It had not rained in that region for eight months and I don’t think it has since.
“I look completely stressed and with straggly hair. Jeremy watches the wedding video all the time but I can’t face it yet … We were winging it the whole way. It made it so much fun. And it gave it the essence and authenticity of it being Italian and that is what I really wanted. You can’t have the rainbow without the rain.”

Faye Brookes changing her name after wedding

OHMYGOSSIP — Faye Brookes is changing her name after getting married.
The 36-year-old actress – best known for playing Kate Connor on ITV soap ‘Coronation Street’ – tied the knot with theatre producer Iwan Lewis at a church in the Cotswolds last month and she’s now revealed she will be taking on his last name so she will become known as Faye Alicia Lewis both personally and professionally from now on.
She told OK! magazine: “I’m changing my name and I’m no longer going to be known as Faye Brookes. Not a lot of people in the industry do this, but I’m so proud and so excited to see what could come of that idea of introducing myself to the world as Faye Alicia Lewis – which is now my full name.”
The soap star went on to reveal she’s planning to take a break from work to enjoy married life before returning under her new married name.
She added: “Everyone there [at the wedding] that I’ve worked with is like, ‘What are you doing next?’ I’m like: ‘Nothing’. Maybe it’s a good idea for me to step out of the limelight for a little bit and see what job could come my way. What could be the right thing for me as Faye Alicia Lewis?”
Faye and Iwan were friends for more than a decade before their relationship turned romantic. They announced their engagement in January after just four months of dating and they tied the knot in August in front of 200 guests at St. John The Baptist church in the Cotswolds village of Shipton Moyne.
The ceremony was followed by a reception in a marquee and the couple then jetted off to the Maldives on honeymoon.
Iwan told the magazine the couple already has plenty of plans for the future, saying: “We’ve got a lot of business ideas; we’re looking at launching a podcast and a media enterprise. Also, we want to have a family. All of the above is possible. I’m ambitious, Faye’s even more ambitious – gosh, we’ll have nine Pomeranians and 14 kids!”

Johannes Radebe cringes over curtsey to King Charles

OHMYGOSSIP — Johannes Radebe was left cringing over his meeting with King Charles after he swapped a traditional bow for a curtsey.
The ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ star was invited to Buckingham Palace in London to be a part of King Charles’ first State Banquet as monarch which was held in honour of South Africa’s President Ramaphosa in November 2022 – and Johannes revealed he sank to the floor to perform a theatrical curtsey when he came face-to-face with the new king.
Speaking to Hello! magazine, the dancer explained: “As I did it, I was thinking: ‘Johannes, what is wrong with you?’ It’s part of our culture as Africans to bow to an elder as a form of respect, but I don’t know what got into me to think this was a fitting way to greet the King.
“There was a gentle grin on his face as he picked me up with his eyes, and said: ‘Hello Johannes, welcome back to Buckingham Palace’.”
However, his meeting with the king was not the only memorable moment of the event – Johannes also recalled meeting Queen Camilla and being stunned to discover she’s a big fan of ‘Strictly’.
He added: “It was the most surreal experience of my life. When Queen Camilla turned around and told me: ‘I voted for you guys – three times at Blackpool,’ I felt as if I’d won ‘Strictly’. She probably sits down with a cup of tea to watch the show on a Saturday night, just like everyone else.”
At the time of the event, Johannes shared pictures of his invitation on his Instagram page along with a snap of the palace and wrote: “A man’s gift makes room for him and brings him before the great.”

Damien Chazelle pays tribute to William Fiedkin at Venice Film Festival

OHMYGOSSIP — Damien Chazelle paid a moving tribute to the late William Friedkin at the Venice Film Festival on Sunday (03.09.23).
The ‘Exorcist’ filmmaker passed away last month at the age of 87 but was able to complete his final movie, ‘The Caine Mutiny Court-Martial’, before he died and it premiered at the event over the weekend.
And Damien praised the legendary director for his passion for cinema and his visionary way of working.
The ‘Babylon’ filmmaker, who is presiding over this year’s Venice jury, said: “When I first became aware of the name Billy Friedkin I was a child, and the name itself filled me with fear.
“I probably had ‘The Exorcist’ in my mind. I hadn’t see the film yet, but I’d seen the letters written in that typeface, and the sound of the word “Fried-kin” seemed to suggest to me the darkest, most forbidden recesses of the imagination. The kind of things that inspire nightmares for the rest of your life.
“So to me William Friedkin meant fear. But today I think of his name, and I think of love. I think of love of cinema, love of all art, and a vision of how the arts can intersect and inform each other. A vision of cinema that is not separate, but inextricably linked to music, to literature, to painting. Of course, to opera.”
Damien went on to praise William’s “kindness and generosity” when he was starting his own career and told how the director invited him to his house when he had just made his 2014 film ‘Whiplash’.
He said: “I will never forget the experience of discovering that a man responsible for movies that punched me so mercilessly in the gut, like ‘Sorcerer’, ‘French Connection’, ‘Cruising’, and ‘Killer Joe’, was in person so warm, so welcoming, so sweet, humble, loving.
“Getting to know Billy and to spend time with him and Sherry [Lansing] – and their marriage in itself was one of the all-time love stories – this was one of the great honours of my life.
“But returning to the idea of fear. There’s been a lot of it in the world of cinema lately, especially in Hollywood. So it seems we lost Friedkin when we needed him more than ever. He was fearless in every sense of the word. You get a sense in his movies of a filmmaker and his characters pushing up against the boundaries of what is possible and finally stepping past them.”

Kerry Katona stands by calling Brian McFadden a ‘s*** dad’

OHMYGOSSIP — Kerry Katona has stood by her comments calling her ex-husband Brian McFadden a “s*** dad”.
The former Atomic Kitten star had two daughters with the Westlife singer – Molly, 22, and Lilly-Sue, 20 – during their two-year marriage and she recently scoffed at his parenting in a podcast interview – however, she’s now insisted she was right to call him out over his treatment of their girls but Kerry says she wasn’t being “nasty” and Brian has since grown up and is an “amazing” father to his youngest child Ruby.
In her column for OK! magazine, she explained: “I was with him a million years ago and wish nothing but the best for him and his family. I wasn’t saying it in a bad way or to be vindictive.
“While he wasn’t a good father to Molly and Lilly, he’s now grown up and is an amazing dad to his daughter Ruby. I don’t want to cause awkwardness between my girls and their dad and wish him the best. I’m true to myself and my story, and he’s part of that. I don’t want to be nasty. I’m on a different journey now.”
Speaking on Ellie McKay’s ‘On a Mission’ podcast, Kerry previously accused Brian of failing to show enough interest in Molly and Lilly following their split.
She said: “I didn’t get maintenance money off Brian. I signed a piece of paper saying: ‘You can keep your money, give me me kids’.
“I said: ‘Look, if you don’t want me, you don’t love me, I don’t want your money, just give me half the money from the house that we sell, and I will sign a piece of paper, just give me my kids. I signed the piece of paper, I got the kids, and he f****d off to Australia.
“He was a s*** dad.”
Brian and Kerry divorced in 2002 and he is now engaged to PE teacher Danielle Parkinson, the mother of his daughter Ruby, who was born in 2021.

Stacey Solomon in ‘non-romantic era’ with husband Joe Swash

OHMYGOSSIP — Stacey Solomon is in a “non-romantic era” with her husband Joe Swash.
The ‘Loose Women’ star has been with Joe since 2010 and they finally tied the knot last year after more than a decade together, but Stacey has revealed the romance has evaporated from their relationship because they are so busy looking after their kids and dogs.
She told OK! magazine: “I think me and Joe are in our non-romantic era. It is important just to get time for us, but we’re at that stage in our life where that’s not really possible.
“We recently went to a friend’s wedding and had a night together, which was really lovely, but outside of that it’s once or twice a year that happens.”
She went on to insist the couple won’t be having any more kids after welcoming baby Belle – their third child together – in February. Stacey added: “We don’t want any more – we cannot cope with it. Yeah, we wanted all these kids and we’re so grateful to have them. So we will get romantic … but in 20 years’ time.”
As well as baby Belle, the couple are also parents to son Rex and daughter Rose together as well as Stacey’s two sons – 15-year-old Zachary and 11-year-old Leighton – from previous relationships while Joe is also dad to son Harry, 15, from his relationship with Emma Sophocleous.
In the interview, Stacey admitted it can get quite chaotic at home with five kids and two dogs all under one roof – so she has to hide in her walk-in wardrobe whenever she needs some peace and quiet.
She explained: “It’s not massive, but it’s big enough for me to sit on a chair and no one, not even the dogs, are allowed in there. So if I ever need to hide away, I go in there and I just shut the door and then no one comes in.”

Susannah Constantine told to drop Princess Margaret poo story from book

OHMYGOSSIP — Susannah Constantine was told to drop a story about Princess Margaret helping her unblock a toilet from her autobiography.
The ‘What Not to Wear’ star has detailed her life in ‘Ready for Absolutely Nothing’ and in the book, she recalls the moment when Queen Elizabeth’s sister – who died in 2002 – followed her into a cubicle at the Old Royal Navy College in London and offered to cut up the blockage with a silver cake knife.
Constantine – who was dating Margaret’s son David Linley at the time – told the Independent newspaper that she was warned not to include the anecdote. She explained: “The publishers actually said: ‘We advise you not to put that in’. And I said: ‘Well, no, I want to put it in’ because for me, it’s an anecdote that reveals more than anything, what an amazingly resourceful, down-to-earth, practical woman she was.
“And you know, I don’t think it was really so much a reflection on the closeness of our relationship. I think she would have done it with anyone.”
During the interview, Constantine also opened up about a recent health scare which left her needing brain surgery. She was diagnosed with blocked blood vessels in her neck and brain and had to go an operation to treat it. She admits the surgery left her feeling overwhelmed and at one point during a holiday in Greece, she locked herself in the bathroom and sobbed.
She told the newspaper: “I didn’t want to alarm the children. So you make light of it a bit, but inside you’re going, ‘I’ve just had f****** brain surgery: can you not ask me what’s for dinner tonight?’”
Constantine has also been battling hearing loss and now needs to wear a hearing aid. In a previous interview with The Mirror, she explained: “Ambient noise is awful. I wasn’t able to hear the person sitting next to me. I’d become an amateur lip reader, but if I couldn’t see someone’s face, I had no idea what they were saying. It was embarrassing … I won’t lie, I did feel ashamed in a way … For me, it’s always been one of the greatest physical signs of ageing, like wrinkles and dentures
“There can be a huge stigma around wearing hearing aids, I felt like I might as well go to the funeral director and order my coffin, it made me feel so old.”

‘The best actress in the world’: Why casting Jessica Chastain was a ‘no-brainer’ for Michel Franco

OHMYGOSSIP — Michel Franco believes Jessica Chastain is the “best actress in the world”.
The ‘Mexican’ filmmaker insisted it was a “no-brainer” to cast the ‘Eyes of Tammy Faye’ star in the lead role of social worker Sylvia in his latest movie ‘Memory’ because she is so talented.
He gushed to Variety: “Jessica is possibly the best actress in the states right now, it’s not an exaggeration to say she’s the best actress in the world.”
Jessica stars in the film opposite Peter Sarsgaard, and the director revealed the suggestion to cast the actor as Saul came from the Oscar-winning beauty herself.
Michel said: “I wanted to make that decision with Jessica, because, it’s so important, the chemistry and the whole film relies on the tension of those characters.”
The director previously shot ‘Chronic’ in Los Angeles and made ‘Memory’ in New York, and plans to keep making films in both the US and in Mexico in the future.
He said: “I’ll do both and maybe I’ll also make films in other places.
“It is very tempting to keep working with such talented actors, like Jessica and Peter and [‘Chronic’ star] Tim Roth, and every other talented actor that’s based in the States, not necessarily American. That’s what gets me back time and again.
“And also fact that we’re neighbours — it is only a four-hour flight from Mexico City to New York.
“We’re all North Americans and we have a very complex relationship as countries so it comes naturally in many ways.”
The filmmaker loves to tell the stories of outsiders, which he attributes to his own experiences growing up.
He said: “I’m fascinated by outsiders, I think the most interesting characters are those that don’t fit.
“As a teenager, I was always feeling that I had been born in the wrong place — I never felt quite in the right place. And I think that turned me into a filmmaker. That fed my curiosity and it’s always more interesting when people don’t simply accept their environment and are creating something, not just saying ‘yes’ to whatever came their way.”

In an interview with Bella magazine, Coleen explained: “We never officially lived together, but my daughter Ciara’s going travelling with her boyfriend Max in January.
“I don’t know how long for, but they both live with me, and so once they go off in January, we’ll probably move in then.”
In a previous interview with the same publication, Coleen insisted she was the behind the couple’s splits because she “freaked out” over his romantic gestures.
She said: ” It was my fault we kept splitting up. I think because he was very different to my ex-husbands and people I’ve been out with. He was very attentive and romantic, and at first, I just didn’t know what to do with it. It kind of freaked me out a bit. I thought, I don’t know why he loves me as much – it was just me. ”
Coleen explained that she missed him a lot every time they split, so she eventually decided they should get back together and give their romance a real go. She insisted they are now in a much better place because she’s finally been able to accept she “deserves” to be loved.
A source told new! magazine: “Coleen has often struggled with her confidence in relationships, but as she said herself, now she has truly opened herself up, she has never been happier. It is lovely to see her feeling this way.”
Coleen was previously married to Shane Richie from 1990 to 1999 and her second marriage – to Ray Fensome – lasted from 2007 until 2018.

OHMYGOSSIP — Amy Hart is engaged to Sam Rason.
The 31-year-old reality star – who shot to fame when she appeared on ‘Love Island’ in 2019 – welcomed her son Stanley with boyfriend Sam Rason, 33, in March and was left in shock when her significant other got down on one knee during a glitzy surprise proposal at a theatre.
Seemingly quoting a lyric from ‘I’ll Be Here’ – a number from obscure 9/11 musical ‘Ordinary Days’ – avid musical theatre fan Amy wrote on Instagram on Monday (04.09.23): “‘And he said…hey, whatcha doin’ the rest of your life?’ Well and truly the biggest surprise ever We are so happy (literally thought I was watching show rehearsals hence why I have no shoes on-Amz x)
Amy then shared an image of herself on stage with Sam to her Instagram Stories, where she admitted that she was “too stunned to speak” so ended up in tears.
She wrote: “The woman was so too stunned to speak so she nervously laughed and cried a bit.”
Amy was inundated with congratulatory messages from fellow famous faces, with ‘Geordie Shore’ legend Vicky Pattison writing: “Congratulations gorgeous!!! This is beautiful” whilst West End star Lucie Jones – who is known for her roles in ‘Wicked’ and ‘Waitress’ – said: “Ahhhhh amazing congratulations!!! Xxx”(sic)
Actress Alice Fearn – who played Elphaba in ‘Wicked’ before Lucie took over for her own stint – said: “Couldn’t be happier for you sweetheart” whilst YouTube star Louise Pentland said: “Omg congratulations” and emblazoned her comment with a series of clapping emojis.
In a further update, the happy couple could be seen enjoying glasses of champagne where occasional ‘Loose Women’ star Amy admitted that she is normally aware of everything that goes on but everything had been set up so that she had no clue.
She said: “So yeah, fiance! There was no floors being polished, It was so that I didn’t run into Sam when he got on the ship, there was no new trailers being set. It was so that I could understand why there was videographers on the ship. I am a control enthusiast! I normally know everything. It’s so funny because James was doing my hair and my make up and he knew nothing either!”

Davina McCall would rather be celibate than use celebrity dating app

OHMYGOSSIP — Davina McCall would rather be celibate for the rest of her life than sign up to celebrity dating app Raya.
The 55-year-old TV presenter has opened up about her personal life in a new interview as she prepares to launch new ITV1 dating show ‘My Mum, Your Dad’ which helps middle-aged parents find love again – and Davina is adamant that if she finds herself single again she wouldn’t turn to apps for help,
She told Radio Times magazine: “I’d rather be celibate for the rest of my life! It would be too embarrassing! At our age, it’s up to your mates to sort you out. I matchmade a couple of friends – I reckon they’re going to get married. But men don’t stay single for very long.”
Davina – who has been in a relationship with hair stylist Michael Douglas for five years – went on to insist romance later in life is very different to dating in your 20s, adding: “When you’re trying to get 20-year-olds to date, it’s easy because, at 20, you’re just thinking, “Do I fancy you? Yeah. Brilliant! With a dating show for people in midlife … it’s not just about a sexual connection, although the immediate spark has to be there. You need to go, “I fancy them a bit,” but getting to know somebody is a lot more important.
“Everyone our age comes with baggage. But that’s what makes people interesting and sometimes it’s what hooks you in.”
The new show was previously described by the host as “Midlife Love Island” but she’s adamant it’s actually a very different concept. According to Ok.co.uk, she said: “It’s my fault that it got called Midlife Love Island – that’s what I called it in an email … I’ve been trying to burn that name ever since!
“For me personally speaking, I’d rather watch the hint of love and a moment of tenderness – that’s so exciting. Jumping into bed and s*******, once you’ve seen it, it doesn’t mean anything. This really means something – when you see people falling in love.”
