Fan-favourite Corrie star signs new contract

OHMYGOSSIP — Elle Mulvaney has signed a new contract to keep her on ‘Coronation Street’.
The actress, 21, has played Amy Barlow since she was eight years old, and is delighted that she will be staying on the show for at least another year.
She told The Sun newspaper: “I signed for another year – it’s such a wonderful thing to be able to go into work and just love your job, even still after 13 years.
“What more could you ask for a job that you love with people that you love, with great stories. I’ve got such great role models.
“The people I’m around are just brilliant actors and actresses when you look at people like Bill who plays Ken, he’s been there for more than 60 years!”
Recently, viewers watched on in horror as Amy was raped by Aaron Sandford, played by James Craven and Elle received a lot of praise for conveying the terror of the situation from fans, with some even offering the actress emotional support.
The actress said: “The reaction to Amy’s storyline has been insane – we’ve had so many people reach out to me, and I’m really quite proud.”
She then teased fans what was next for her character and said: “Now, with what’s coming up – Amy is getting her fire back. She is Tracy’s daughter, will she be a mini Tracy? You’ll have to wait and see.
“But we have a lot of exiting stuff coming up I can’t really say too much. One thing I can say is that it is a good Christmas. I’m sworn to secrecy.
“There is plenty of drama – she’s all over the place. She’s still not over the rape and she’s kind of coming to terms with, there’s a lot she’s kept to herself, and you’ll see all this in her behaviour.
“There’s lots of Barlow drama at Christmas, it’s so good!
“You know when you read the scripts and are like, ‘wow’. So I really hope everyone enjoys it.”

Dick and Angel Strawbridge on ending Escape to the Chateau: ‘Never complain, never explain…’

OHMYGOSSIP — Dick and Angel Strawbridge “made the decision” to end ‘Escape to the Chateau’ long before the news broke.
The married couple had charted their journey renovating an abandoned French chateau along with their children Arthur, 10 and eight-year-old Dorothy over the course of nine series but made the decision to bring the show to an end last year and have now insisted that the decision to do some was “in the past” to them by the time the announcement came.
Speaking on ITV’s Lorraine, Dick told stand-in host Christine Lampard: “It’s interesting because we were explaining before Christmas the end of the nine series. Arthur is about to go to senior school and as a family, we made a decision that last year was going to be the finale of the ‘Escape to the Chateau’, so we’d finished. Everybody knew it was finishing. So when the stories came and people started talking about the end of what we were doing, it wasn’t news it was something that had happened a long time in the past. We made the decision to just not get involved in the conversations.”
Meanwhile, Angel – who tied the knot with Dick in 2015 – has taken inspiration from the late Queen Elizabeth and has decided to “never explain, never explain” much behind the end of the programme.
She said: “Our Queen said ‘Never complain, and never explain’ and I think that was just the best way. None of it made sense, we had made that family decision and ‘Escape’ had come to its natural end.”
The couple also hire out the famed TV location for weddings and Angel went on to explain that they have only just managed to catch up on bookings following the massive delays caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
She said: “Find a job that you like and you won’t work another day in your life. We caught up in September this year that with all of our weddings and event that were booked in pre-COVID and it was such a sense of relief. Every wedding we have had, we get asked all the time ‘Oh, you must have bridezillas’. I think we’ve hosted 50 or 60 weddings now, we have never had one. It is such a beautiful moment. I cry every time.”

McFly’s Harry Judd grew closer to his mother after speaking about his drug addiction on new BBC show

OHMYGOSSIP — Harry Judd grew closer to his mother after he opened up about his drug addiction.
The McFly star, 37, revealed his substance struggles to his mother whilst filming the BBC programme ‘Race Across The World’, which saw Harry and 63-year-old Emma embark on a 10,000km trek from Marrakech to Norway.
He told The Sun newspaper: “We have never spoken about it before, but it was an important conversation to have.
“It did feel kind of exposing because it wasn’t a conversation I was intending to have with my mum but that’s the beauty of the show, you have so much time together and you kind of forget the camera is there.
“You always carry a bit of shame when you talk about having a problem with drugs. It’s a hard word even saying out loud.
“For me personally the stigma is the shame and embarrassment of getting yourself into that situation.
“But you realise you have to step past that and realise it is just a part of the highs and lows of life, and learning from your mistakes and moving on.
“But afterwards I did think, ‘Oh my god that’s going on TV’.”
During the episode, Harry explained that he did not want to tell her about his addiction because he didn’t want to “disappoint” or “hurt” his mother.
After hearing her son open up to her, Emma said: “Well bless you darling, you never will let me down. And I hope you know I’ll always be there for you, and I’ll always love you, no matter what.”
In his 2017 autobiography, Harry revealed that he had developed an addiction to marijuana when he was at boarding school, and found himself smoking six joints a day once he joined the band at the age of 17.
Reflecting on the conversation he had with his mother, the drummer praised Emma, and called her “amazing.”
He continued: “You feel ashamed but it is a reality and it is something I learned a lot from and it shaped my life.
“I was lucky in a way that I had such a bad experience with drugs because it made me completely give them up and then give up drink, which has had a really positive outcome.
“I don’t think I’ll ever drink again. It isn’t conducive to me, my mental health or my life. I haven’t drunk since 2012.
“I stopped drinking because the after-effects were causing me bad anxiety.”

ITV confirms that Stacey Solomon will return to Loose Women ‘soon’

OHMYGOSSIP — Stacey Solomon is returning to ‘Loose Women’ – despite rumours that she had quit for good.
The 34-year-old star began serving as a panellist on the ITV1 lunchtime chat show in 2016 but even though she has not been seen on the series since December 2022, it has now been confirmed that she will be back at some point.
An ITV spokesperson told The Mirror: “These claims are not true. We are looking forward to welcoming Stacey back onto the show soon.”
Stacey has made more than 350 appearances on the panel since starting as a regular on the show, but just nine of those were in 2022.
The news comes shortly after insiders claimed that the former ‘I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!’ winner – who welcomed baby Belle in February with husband Joe Swash but also has Rex, four, and two-year-old Rose with him – had outgrown her role on the panel and wanted to focus on her other shows like ‘Sort Your Life Out’ for rival broadcaster BBC One.
The source told Woman’s Own: “She’s outgrown the show. It’s no longer right for Stacey. ‘Loose Women’ takes up a lot of her time. If she were to leave, it would free her time up a little, especially if she has to be away for longer periods of time with her own shows.”
Shortly after her last appearance on the panel, Stacey – who also has sons Zach, 15, and 10-year-old Leighton from previous relationships – hinted that she wanted to return to ‘Loose Women’ as she gushed about the opportunities that had come her way since finding fame on ‘The X Factor’ in 2009.
Speaking on ITV’s ‘Lorraine’, she said: “I’m just grateful to be on there. When I was on ‘X Factor’ 14 years ago… I never even thought I’d be on a show like this never mind have opportunities like ‘Sort Your Life Out’ and ‘Loose Women’.
“So every time I get to do something like that I’m genuinely like ‘thank goodness, this is amazing!’. You’ve just got to keep enjoying it because you never know when it’ll be gone and when those things aren’t going to be there.

The naturalist, 50, is has had several daring adventures on TV, from getting to know the world’s most dangerous animals for CBBC’s ‘Deadly 60’, to travelling through harsh and unforgiving environments from Colombia to Botswana. Throughout his career, Steve has had a few nasty run-ins with animals, with one in particular leaving him in excruciating pain.
During an interview for Metro newspaper’s Sixty Second column, the presenter was asked what the worst bite he ever received was, to which he said: “In terms of pain, it’s the sting of the bullet ant in South America, which is said to be the world’s must painful stinging insect.
“Any one sting is sore, to say the least, but I took part in a bullet ant ritual where I put my hands into a pair of gloves, with ants inside my gloves, and I was stung hundreds of times.
“For about three hours, I was lapsing in an out of consciousness. There was nothing in my world apart from pain. That was intense.”
When asked what he learnt from that experience, Steve bluntly replied: “Never to do it again.”
The adventurer also spoke about the scariest situation he had ever been.
He said: “It’s very rarely with animals. It’s usually with people or the environment.
“We had a rock climb on a Venezuelan tepui, where we were halfway up a vertical rock face. We’d spend about three days getting to where we were.
“There was an outrageous storm that we couldn’t shelter from, rain lashing down on us, lightning crackling, rockfall coming from above.
“As a team, you have to look each other in the eyes and wonder, ‘Is this my last human connection, with some hairy-bummed marine on the rope alongside me?’”

Matt Terry: ‘I was afraid to be myself on X Factor!’

OHMYGOSSIP — Matt Terry was “afraid” to be his true self when he was on ‘The X Factor’.
The 30-year-old singer won the 2016 series of the music competition and released the Ed Sheeran-penned ‘When Christmas Comes Around’ as his debut single but upon the release of his new song has admitted he “didn’t know” who he was as a person at the time.
Speaking on ITV’s’Lorraine’, he told stand-in host Christine Lampard: “When I was on the show, I didn’t really…I was too afraid to show who I was at that time. I was such a young man so that’s where the title ‘You Don’t Know Nothing’ came from. I didn’t show who I was as an artist or as a person. And I’m ready to do that today. It’s my turn and it’s time to write for myself again.
“We have to tell our truths and speak honestly. First of all, I’m so grateful for the show. It did change my life. I’m grateful for Simon [Cowell], I’m grateful for everything it gave me. All I wanted to do is sing, and I do that every day. But like every decision in life, there’s pros and cons. I think the con for me was that I changed the way I saw myself and how I treated myself. ”
Since his victory on ‘The X Factor’, Matt has appeared in musical theatre and carved out a second career as a songwriter and has now explained that he wants to use his talent to help others.
He said: “I’ve gone back to the drawing board, build myself again and find who I am, I know I have a talent, I can sing and I have a voice and I want people to connect with that I have to say and I want to help people. I had to start all over again and I’m so proud, I have hundreds of millions of streams, I feel so thankful to be here. ”

OHMYGOSSIP — David Tennant has teased fans of ‘Doctor Who’ by saying his upcoming return is “unlike any episode ever.”
The 52-year-old actor left his role as the titular Time Lord in 2008 but is returning for the show’s 60th anniversary, which will see other familiar faces next to David’s Doctor such as companion Donna Noble (Catherine Tate) as well as the dreaded Toymaker, (Neil Patrick Harris).
In an interview with Empire Magazine, David said: “It’s like the band getting back together for one last hurrah.”

Whilst he is returning to the role, David made it clear that is it not the same character that viewers came to know and love during his original stint on the show, and teased what showrunner Russell T. Davies had in store.
He said: “That was the first exciting piece of mischief that Russell created.
“That I was going to be Doctor No. 14 rather than Doctor No. 10 again. You’ll just have to wait and see why the 14th Doctor is so much like the 10th.”
“I was surprised when I saw what that first script was based on, then I read the second script, which is unlike any Doctor Who episode ever. These new specials are Russell off the leash.”

Werner Herzog begs fans sci-fi to ‘not dismiss’ Star Wars:

OHMYGOSSIP — Werner Herzog thinks the ‘Star Wars’ franchise should “not be dismissed.
The 81-year-old director dubbed the George Lucas-created franchise – which includes the original 70s and 90s trilogies along with the spin-off movies such as ‘Rogue One’ and ‘Solo’ and television shows like ‘Ashoka’ – as part of “new mythologies” after he was approached by ‘The Mandalorian’ creator Jon Favreau, 57, to voice ‘Baby Yoda’, the nickname of Grogu.
He told Empire magazine: “Jon Favreau was deeply moved by my films. Once he made a remark that he wanted many, many people to know the face of the man who made all these films that he likes. We should not dismiss ‘Star Wars’: they are new mythologies and a new way of seeing our role in the universe.”
Recently, Jon gushed about how he has “been enjoying” making the Disney+ series – which has also featured Pedro Pascal, 48, Carl Weathers, 75, and Rosario Dawson, 44 – “tremendously” since its 2019 debut due to the strong teamwork element of it.
He told Entertainment Weekly in March: “I really have been enjoying this tremendously, and I love these characters, and I love seeing how they’re growing together. I’ve really enjoyed working with this group of people, and I love collaborating with all these different filmmakers and different storytellers, both from the directors we work with, and other showrunners like Dave and, and others like Jon Watts and Chris Ford.
“It’s a really wonderful format, and you really grow to appreciate having such a good team around you that, for each new film, you would have to assemble. But [with The Mandalorian], we get to inherit this great group of talented people that we could work with every year.”

Aaron Sorkin departs CAA after agent made statements in support of Palestine amid conflict

OHMYGOSSIP — Aaron Sorkin has departed CAA after blasting a statement an agent made about the Israel-Palestine conflict.
The 62-year-old writer announced he was leaving the talent agency as he dubbed their employee Maha Dakhil “just wrong” for reposting statements from a pro-Palestinian account in light of the October 7 attacks by Hamas which saw more than 1400 Jewish people slaughtered by the terrorist group.
He said: “Maha isn’t an antisemite, she’s just wrong. She’s a great agent and I’m very proud of the work we did together over the last six years. I’m excited to be returning to WME.”
Maha – who represents clients like Tom Cruise, 61, and Natalie Portman, 42, – left the company’s internal board after publishing criticism of Israel and said goodbye to her leadership roles as the co-head of the motion pictures department but will continue to collab with clients.
On a post on Instagram – which was originally shared by an account named ‘Free Palestine’ that read “You’re currently learning who supports genocide”, she added: “That’s the line for me.”
Maha – who was reacting to the Israeli government bombing and turning off the water in Gaza, where 2.2 million people live – continued on a second post on October 18: “What’s more heartbreaking than witnessing genocide? Witnessing the denial that genocide is happening.”
After backlash, she offered an apology for her “hurtful language”.
She told Variety: “I made a mistake with a repost in my Instagram story, which used hurtful language. Like so many of us, I have been reeling with heartbreak. I pride myself on being on the side of humanity and peace. I’m so grateful to Jewish friends and colleagues who pointed out the implications and further educated me. I immediately took the repost down. I’m sorry for the pain I have caused.”

Eddie ‘The Eagle’ Edwards ‘delighted’ to have signed as emergency stand-in on ‘Dancing on Ice’

OHMYGOSSIP — Eddie ‘The Eagle’ Edwards says he is “delighted” to have been signed as an emergency replacement on ‘Dancing on Ice’.
The Olympian, 59, is famed for becoming the first athlete to represent Team GB in ski jumping in 1988 and is now set to strap on his skates for the 2024 series of the ITV1 show after ‘Gogglebox’ stalwart Stephen Lustig-Webb, 52, crashed out of the contest at the weekend with a broken ankle.
Eddie – born Michael Edwards – said on Wednesday (25.10.23) night about joining the show: “It’s bittersweet as whilst I’m delighted to be taking part in the new series I’m gutted for Stephen and wish him a speedy recovery.
“‘Dancing on Ice’ is a show I’ve always wanted to do. It’s a challenge I think I’m going to relish!”
Eddie will be joining world champion boxer Ricky Hatton, 45, actress Claire Sweeney, 52, and singer Hannah Spearritt, 42, as well as West End star Amber Davies, 27, and 36-year-old Olympian and presenter Greg Rutherford.
Also in the line-up is TV personality Miles Nazaire, 27, comedian Lou Sanders, 37, actor Ricky Norwood, 40, broadcaster and DJ Adele Roberts, 44, and actor Ryan Thomas, 39, as well as 40-year-old ‘Emmerdale’ star Roxy Shahidi.
‘Dancing on Ice’ will return to ITV1, STV and ITVX in 2024 with the new cast, which sees the 12 celebrities take to the ice each week to skate live in a bid to impress the judges and viewers at home.
A TV source told The Sun about Eddie joining the show: “Eddie is a brilliant signing for ‘Dancing on Ice’ – he’s known to all and is remembered so fondly as Britain’s ski jump pioneer.
“It’s fair to say he’s probably more at home on the ice than others but he’s now nudging sixty, so who knows , he could be more feeble than Eagle.”
Eddie was played by ‘Rocketman’ actor Taron Egerton, 33, in a 2016 biopic.
The Olympian started out as a plasterer when he first qualified for the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary, Canada as the sole British contender for the ski jump and was forced to take up accommodation in a mental hospital due to lack of funds.
He finished last in both the 70 metre and 90 metre events at the games, but set a British record at 71 metres – which is now held by Sam Bolton, at 134.5 metres – and Eddie is still ranked sixth on the list of the all-time greatest British ski jumpers.

Sarah Beeny reveals her marriage is ‘hanging on by fingernails’ following her cancer battle

OHMYGOSSIP — Sarah Beeny is struggling in her marriage following her cancer battle.
The 51-year-old TV star tied the knot with Graham Swift in 2002 and has Billy, 18,Charlie, 16, Raffy, 14, and 12-year-old Laurie with him but was diagnosed with breast cancer in August 2022 and even though she announced that she had beaten the disease earlier this year, admitted that she and her husband have only stayed together for the sake of their kids.
She told The Sun newspaper: “We’re hanging on in there by our fingernails. I mean, it’s not easy, is it? Graham always said, ‘the day we have to work at our marriage, I’m going to leave’. And I was like, ‘really?’ But I think he has had to work at it to be honest. I was being particularly horrible, because I have been a bit horrible in the last couple of years to be honest at times.
“I was being particularly horrible, he said, ‘you know the thing is Sarah, you’re not prepared to leave and have your children half the time, and neither am I, so we’re going to stay together.”
The ‘Four Rooms’ presenter went on to add that her husband eventually offered her an ultimatum and that she has vowed to “be nicer” to him going forward.
She said: “And we’re going to stay together happily or unhappily, so which would you like it to be?’
“And I was like, oh that is quite dark, isn’t it?
“He said ‘you wanna be happy or unhappy, because either way we’re still going to live together’, so I was like, ‘OK we’ll do happy then, shall we?’ he was like, ‘what a good idea.
“Maybe you should be a bit nicer?’ I was like, ‘yeah alright I will.’ So logical, isn’t it?”

Freelance director reveals why he cast John Cena in comedy role: ‘He was perfect right away!’

OHMYGOSSIP — Pierre Morel thinks John Cena has “amazing” versatility as an actor.
The 59-year-old director is at the helm of the upcoming action comedy film which stars wrestling legend John, 46, as retired special forces operator and Pierre acknowledged that whilst he is known as a “very physical guy”, he was able to portray both comedy and pathos in the new film.
He told ScreenRant: “Well, John, I think, has that amazing capacity to be, obviously, a very physical guy. We know that. [He’s] amazingly muscular and has a crazy body. We’ve seen that in Peacemaker, and we’ve seen that in other movies.
“He is an amazing comedian and is hilarious in life. He has a sense of humor, which is fantastic, but he also has that capacity, which I didn’t know much about, [bringing] some kind of fragility to him. He can be a broken guy and can be very sensible. And so he was the perfect choice. He was the perfect guy, right away.”
Pierre went on to add that as a director he always tries to “push” his actors to the best of their abilities and revealed that almost everything on screen is real because he knows audiences these days are not “fooled” by CGI.
He said: “I always try to push actors to do everything themselves, to the limits of safety, obviously. And I always like to do physical effects live because they look better than fake explosions and fake this and fake that. So yeah, there’s no CGI.
“We did almost everything live, and I think it shows. It’s an old-school way of filmmaking, but I think the audience is not fooled by a full CGI thing. It’s a different ride.
‘Freelance ‘ will be released on October 27.

Sofia Coppola reveals ‘weird’ werewolf-imprinting is reason she didn’t direct Twilight: Breaking Dawn

OHMYGOSSIP — Sofia Coppola turned down directing ‘Twilight: Breaking Dawn’ because she found the imprinting-werewolf “too weird”.
In ‘Breaking Dawn – Part 2’, Jacob (Taylor Lautner) bizarrely imprints on Bella (Kristen Stewart) and Edward’s (Robert Pattinson) young daughter Renesmee, which many fans of the blockbuster teen vampire movies have been creeped out by.
And it just so happens to be the reason the ‘Lost in Translation’ director turned down the job.
Sofia told Rolling Stone: “We had one meeting, and it never went anywhere.
I thought the whole imprinting-werewolf thing was weird. The baby. Too weird! But part of the earlier ‘Twilight’ could be done in an interesting way. I thought it’d be fun to do a teen-vampire romance, but the last one gets really far out.”
The filmmaker also revealed that she walked away from a live-action ‘Little Mermaid’ – which was different from Disney’s version released this year – in 2014 after being asked how she could make the movie appeal to older men.
She said: “Yes, there was [a breaking point]. I was in a boardroom and some development guy said, ‘What’s gonna get the 35-year-old man in the audience?’ And I just didn’t know what to say.
“I just was not in my element. I feel like I was naive, and then I felt a lot like the character in the story, trying to do something out of my element, and it was a funny parallel of the story for me.”

Hollyoaks legend in talks for I’m A Celeb

OHMYGOSSIP — Soap legend Nick Pickard is reportedly in talks for ‘I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’.
The 48-year-old actor – who is the longest-serving cast member on ‘Hollyoaks’, having held the role of Tony Hutchinson since the very first episode in 1995 – is said to have been among the last additions asked to appear on the ITV reality TV jungle show.
A source told The Sun: “Tony from Hollyoaks – as Nick will always happily be known as – is an absolute soap legend and a huge signing for I’m A Celeb.
“Soap stars always do brilliantly on the show because they come with a loyal following and they don’t come more down-to-earth and likeable than Nick.
“He would be fantastic and make great telly if he makes the final cut. Of course Hollyoaks was recently moved online by Channel 4 so it comes at a helpful time for the soap too, helping introduce that younger online audience to Nick via I’m A Celeb’s huge reach.”
Other stars in the frame for this year’s series – which is set to return to screens next month – include Fred Siriex, Flavor Flav, and Danielle Harold, though no one is confirmed yet.
Broadcaster Gyles Brandeth was approached by bosses just last week.
He told ‘This Morning’: “I was asked again this year. What is interesting is that they’re obviously talking to people very last minute because I was asked again only this week.
“So maybe somebody dropped out and they were desperate. They drop you in and you walk a long that little bridge.”

Amy Dowden ‘really frustrated’ over uncertainty surrounding her breast cancer treatment

OHMYGOSSIP — Amy Dowden is feeling “really frustrated” over the uncertainty surrounding her breast cancer treatment.
The ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ professional – who is currently battling the disease and sharing updates on social media – divulged that her care is currently being “delayed” due to not meeting the requirements for chemotherapy and how frustrating she is finding waiting around for news.
The 33-year-old dancer said in a video posted to her Instagram Story: “Frustratingly, my neutrophils, white blood cells are all good but my platelets are too low currently for chemo, which is really frustrating because I feel really well.
“But my doctor said, ‘Come in on Thursday morning and let’s see if they’ve improved.’ Otherwise my chemo will have to be delayed by a week, which obviously, I don’t really want because I just want to get this over and done with.”
Amy – who is married to fellow pro dancer Ben Jones – revealed her platelets need to be “high enough” to get treatment so she is in “limbo” and is keen to have her care be over by the planned date of November 9.
She said: “So I’m in limbo really. I’ll go tomorrow, but it’s weird because I prepare myself that I’m having chemo but I might not have chemo,” adding that she “builds herself up” and “braces herself” whenever she is scheduled for chemo.
Amy admitted that she would be “gutted” if her procedure didn’t go ahead on Thursday and if she had to wait for another week as she could “see the finish line”.
She continued: “But it is what it is,” before she shared her gratitude to “everybody on the NHS” and her “amazing oncology team”.
Amy – who underwent a single mastectomy since her breast cancer diagnosis earlier this year – thanked her followers that the support they have given her “means a lot” before outlining her plans to watch the Halloween Week on the BBC One Latin and ballroom competition to cheer on the new crop of contestants.

Eddie Kadi teases who he would like to win Strictly Come Dancing following his elimination

OHMYGOSSIP — Eddie Kadi “feels like a winner” of ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ despite his elimination.
The 40-year-old comedian took part in this year’s edition of the BBC Latin and ballroom competition along with professional partner Karen Hauer but following their elimination in week five on Sunday (22.10.23), he has admitted that he went through “so much growth” during his time on the show.
Speaking on ITV’s ‘Lorraine’, he told stand-in host Christine Lampard: “As much as I enjoyed I got so much out of it, stand up is my comfort zone. You might come out in week one, or you might come out in week 13.
“It felt like the right time [to leave], I got so much growth, I was able to showcase my culture so for me to have that opportunity was phenomenal. I feel like a winner.”
The BBC Radio presenter was then asked who he would like to actually win the series and while he did not give any specific name, he heaped praise on ‘EastEnders’ stars Bobby Brazier and Nigel Harman, ‘Waterloo Road’ actor Adam Thomas and broadcaster Angela Rippon, who at the age of 79, is the oldest contestant in the history of the show.
He said: “Do you know what? Listen, my guy Bobby, I call him Roberto. He’s just such a lovely guy for a 20-year-old, so well brought up and he’s done so well.
“Adam Thomas is a crazy guy but a lovely man, he’s putting in effort,
“Nigel Harman is a dark horse, and Angela Rippon who I call Stretch Armstrong is getting longer and longer every single week. It’s a game that everyone is enjoying and I hope that they are still continuing to enjoy it for sure.”
