Leah Bracknell needs to raise more money

OHMYGOSSIP — Leah Bracknell needs to raise more money for her life-saving cancer treatment.
The former ‘Emmerdale’ actress – who starred as Zoe Tate on the ITV soap – revealed earlier this month that she has been diagnosed with terminal lung cancer by doctors, but subsequently launched a fundraising campaign in the hope of receiving treatment at a cutting-edge hospital in Germany.
And though she achieved her £50,000 target from public donations via an online page, she has admitted she needs more money as she will need “several” sessions of treatment and the initial outlay will only cover her first visit to the European clinic.
She wrote on her Facebook page: “Not in Germany yet, as there are many procedures to undergo first. But everything is moving in the right direction.
“The fundraising will still be continuing, as the initial target will likely cover only my initial visit, and it is more than likely I may need several more.”
Leah – who is now a yoga teacher – also thanked her fans for their outpouring of “love and concern”.
She posted: “I cannot tell you how healing it is to be the recipient of such love and concern. It takes my breath away.
“Please know how grateful I am, and how I appreciate each and every message.”
Leah previously explained her health situation on her fundraising page, admitting her symptoms had come on very suddenly.
She wrote: “Just over 5 weeks ago, I was feeling perfectly well, fit and healthy. Teaching yoga classes and workshops, it was a time of new beginnings: preparing to move house, youngest child fleeing the nest, and excited to be starting rehearsals for a comedy play, being back onstage, going on tour.
“But, it turns out that the universe had other plans. Life was about to be unexpectedly turned on its head.
“I began to feel breathless climbing stairs … I just put it down to a bit of stress. My abdomen suddenly ballooned – and within a matter of a few days I looked heavily pregnant. I could barely walk or breathe. Then, one Saturday night at the beginning of September I ended up in A&E. (sic)”
The mother-of-two had an emergency procedure to remove excess fluid from around her heart, but was subsequently diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer.
She said: “A fairly brutal and bleak diagnosis but one I am determined to challenge and see from the perspective of “a glass half full”, going against a lifetime of pessimism, negativity and fear!!!!
“By the way, please imagine me writing this and speaking in quite an upbeat and cheerful voice. Do NOT imagine me sitting here writing through a veil of tears. I am not. Or feeling sorry for myself. I am not (yet). (sic)”
She added: “My priority is getting well and strong, so that I can continue to endeavour to be a good, mother, daughter, wife, or at least the best I can be.”

Christian Slater gets competitive with co-star over sex scenes in King Cobra

OHMYGOSSIP — Christian Slater felt competitive towards James Franco over sex scenes in the new film ‘King Cobra.’
The 47-year-old actor admitted he didn’t want his co-star to be better in the intimate scenes than his co-star in the new crime-drama film based upon the book ‘Cobra Killer.’
Speaking about the upcoming blockbuster during a Q&A at the ICF film premiere, he said: “James was going to be doing the lion’s share of the sexual aspects [of the film] and then I got competitive… We even improv’d some stuff.
“OK, I’ll stop – but yeah, great direction!”
‘King Cobra’ is based on the real story of Bryan Kocis who was murdered in 2007.
Meanwhile, Justin Kelly has revealed the film includes spontaneous scenes, which weren’t penned in the script.
Speaking about Christian and Garrett’s moment in the film, Kelly said: “[Christian] pushes him up against the closet door… That was not written or planned. That [was] Christian saying, ‘Where’s my gay sex scene?’ ”
Meanwhile, Slater has revealed he accepted the project because he was desperate to play a role in something, which “scared” him because it was out of his “comfort zone”.
Speaking previously, he said: “I was looking for something to do that scared me. Something that was out of my comfort zone. It didn’t feel stereotypical and there were aspects of the character that I felt I could really identify with. It really spoke to me.”
However, he also signed up to the project because he was always been a “huge fan” of the ‘127 Hours’ star.
He explained: “Well, I’d worked with James Franco a couple years ago on ‘Adderall Diaries’ and I’ve always been a huge fan of his. And he presented me with this and I got excited by it. I don’t think any of us expected this to be a 2,000-screen, $100-million opening weekend type of release, but I was thrilled that James was supporting a young director like [Justin Kelly] to make this risky, exciting film.”

Amy Childs is pregnant

OHMYGOSSIP — Amy Childs is pregnant.
The former ‘The Only Way is Essex’ star is expecting her first child with her boyfriend Bradley Wright and can’t wait to meet her little bundle of joy in March.
She said: “I am feeling shocked but happy. I feel so overwhelmed and I keep waking up smiling. We’ve wanted a baby for so long, so we’re happier than we’ve ever been.”
The couple first started trying for a baby eight months into their relationship but, when it didn’t happen, the 26-year-old beauty feared she couldn’t fall pregnant naturally.
Speaking to OK! magazine, she said: “We wanted one [a baby] before Bradley went to prison but it didn’t happen. I didn’t think I could get pregnant.
“We’d been together for nine months and I came off the pill in the summer and I thought it might take me ages. I was taking folic acid but it didn’t happen. I was really panicking.
“I went online to find out why and it was the worst thing I could have done. I got so stressed out about it that I was drinking. Brad told me off for it but I couldn’t help it.”
The pair met in a pub in Essex two years ago but their relationship came to a halt last year when Bradley was sentenced to 16 months in prison for handling stolen goods.
However, the jailbird only served five months of his service as he was released early for good behaviour and he immediately went to Amy’s salon in Essex to win her back.
After they patched up their differences, the couple decided to try again for a baby as Amy couldn’t help but feel broody when she saw Bradley with his daughter Lexi, whom he has from a previous relationship.
She explained: “We wanted kids together soon after we met. I love kids, especially because Bradley has Lexi, and spending time with her made me want a baby more. I have a big family so I love having my nieces and nephews around.”

Justin Timberlake's son loves Trolls

OHMYGOSSIP — Justin Timberlake’s son is already a big fan of ‘Trolls’.
The ‘Can’t Stop the Feeling’ singer voices grumpy Branch in the animated adventure and 18-month-old Silas – who he has with wife Jessica Biel – can not only recognise his dad’s dialogue but he knows who all the other characters are too.
Asked if Silas can recognise his voice, Justin, 35, said: “He knows all the characters already! It’s crazy!”
As well as starring in the movie, Justin was also musical producer on ‘Trolls’ and so got to see the final cut of the film before anyone else as he had to ensure the soundtrack was “working out”.
He explained to ‘Entertainment Tonight’ presenter Cameron Mathison: “I got to screen it before anybody. I had to screen it before everybody because I had to make sure all the music was working out.”
The ‘SexyBack’ singer and co-star Anna Kendrick have been promoting ‘Trolls’ since May but he insists it hasn’t got tiring talking about the film yet.
He said: “We made a joke the other day that we feel like our only job now is just to promote this movie.
“[But] it’s always nice to be a part of a movie that brings so much happiness to people.”
Interviewer Cameron brought his 10-year-old daughter Leila along to the Los Angeles premiere of the movie at the Regency Village Theater in Westwood, California on Sunday (23.10.16) and Justin had some words of advice for the youngster.
After Leila congratulated him on his recent fourth wedding anniversary, he said: “Oh thank you! Take your time. Don’t get married too fast, alright?… I’m trying to look out for your dad! Boys are ick!”
And the aspiring singer also asked the pop star for advice on starting a music career.
Speaking on his knees on the rainbow carpet, he joked: “Don’t do it! No, I’m kidding. Practice, practice, practice. That’s my advice.
“This is officially the first interview I’ve ever done on my knees. I gotta say, I’m really enjoying it.”

Ed Balls suffers dizzy spells on Strictly Come Dancing

OHMYGOSSIP — Ed Balls has been suffering from dizzy spells on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The 49-year-old politician found himself at the bottom of the show’s leaderboard on Saturday (22.10.16) after he almost dropped his partner Katya Jones in a daring lift, but the professional dancer has come to his defence, saying he gets “too dizzy” and the training is “tiring mentally”.
She said: “It’s tiring mentally – you can’t take that away. He has to sit down, he has to have his tea with milk.
“When he’s tired he tries to distract me with a tea break. I make his tea. He says, ‘Right, tea break!’ and so I go off and make him a tea.
“And then he gets too dizzy from all the spins and turns so he has to lie down and starts feeling sick. He just gives me an evil look like, ‘Oh my god’.”
And Katya also revealed that the former shadow chancellor has been making rude jokes during training, in an attempt to distract her from the task at hand.
She added to The Sun newspaper: “I laugh all the time but sometimes they are not appropriate jokes so I couldn’t say what he says.
“Just silly things and then he breaks out into his own moves and it’s just hilarious.
“Dad dancing is his character so I don’t want him to lose that but of course the technique is important.
“But I don’t want him to lose his own little style which is great really.
“He doesn’t see that it’s a massive improvement but he is improving so much.”
Despite the issues with the lift – which head judge Len Goodman described as “dodgy” – the pair successfully made it through to next week’s Halloween special, after the public voted to save them from the dreaded dance-off.
‘Strictly Come Dancing’s Halloween special will air on BBC One on Saturday October 29.

Simon Cowell: 'No X Factor ban for One Direction'

OHMYGOSSIP — Simon Cowell says he would never ban One Direction from ‘The X Factor’.
After it was reported that the music mogul had stopped Niall Horan from performing his debut solo single on the show that made him famous, Simon took to Twitter to insist he would welcome any of the group back to the programme.
He wrote: “To be clear I would never ‘ban’ anyone from One Direction appearing on the show.”
However, Simon has made it obvious that he is furious with Niall for snubbing his Syco record label to sign a solo deal with Capitol US.
Speaking about Niall’s solo single, ‘This Town’, which reached number nine in the UK charts, Simon previously said: “He probably would have had a number one single if he’d stayed with me.
“But you know who does have a number one this week? James Arthur. Very pleased he’s back with us with a fantastic record. Hashtag loyalty.”
Niall signed his huge record deal with Capitol US, a division of the Universal Music Group, just weeks after Simon predicted that the “loyal” star would join Syco as a solo singer.
A source previously said: “Simon has made no secret of his expectations for Niall to stay loyal to him and has been desperately trying to keep him as a solo act with plans to turn him into a Justin Bieber style artist.
“They’ve worked together closely since day one and have always had a strong relationship, but Universal offered a lot of money.
“Simon’s likely to be so frustrated Niall has gone to a rival.”

Deadpool director 'quit over Cable casting'

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Deadpool’ director Tim Miller reportedly quit the sequel over the casting of Cable.
According to The Wrap, Miller wanted Kyle Chandler for the role of the time-travelling mutant – Deadpool’s friend and foe in the comic books – but star Ryan Reynolds disagreed.
When the studio chose to back Ryan, Tim is said to have decided to leave the project.
It has also been claimed that they disagreed on their vision for the film, with Miller arguing for a “more stylised sequel” while Reynolds wanted to return to the “raunchy comedy style” of the first movie.
‘Deadpool 2’ has yet to be handed an official title or release date, but is being scripted by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, who penned the first movie.
And Ryan and the film’s other producers are reportedly trying to cast the film’s female lead, the Marvel mutant Domino.
Sienna Miller, Ruby Rose, Lizzy Caplan and Sofia Boutella are among the actresses who are rumoured to have tested for the coveted part.
Meanwhile, producer Simon Kinberg recently gave Marvel fans an insight into what they can expect from the new film, irrespective of who directs it.
He said of the sequel: “I think ‘Deadpool 2’ will comment on anything that’s happening in movies today especially in superhero movies. The sort of glut or saturation of these movies and the proliferation of sequels is definitely something we’ll play around with.”

Relley C voted off X Factor

OHMYGOSSIP — Relley C has been sent home from ‘The X Factor’.
The 26-year-old singer – who was battling a cold – failed to impress the judges with her rendition of ‘I Can’t Make You Love Me’ and the panel opted to save girl group 4 Of Diamonds after the sing-off instead.
Louis Walsh, Nicole Scherzinger and Simon Cowell all opted to vote off Relley home, with only her mentor Sharon Osbourne wanting to see her through to next week.
Despite her upset at being voted off, Relley insisted she was happy to have made it past the first week.
She said: “From the start I said if can make it to the first live show I’d be happy… I could have done with a bit more time but I’m happy I got this far.”
Her mentor, Sharon, added: “She’s a strong girl and she’s a fighter.”
Ryan Lawrie had also found himself in the bottom three on Sunday’s (23.10.16) results show, but was saved by the votes cast on the show’s official app.
The programme caused slight controversy when host Dermot O’Leary was forced to apologise after hopeful Gifty Louise swore when she learned Sam Lavery had made it through to next week’s show.
Sam had hugged her mentor Simon Cowell as Gifty screamed: “I f***ing told you.”
Dermot later said: “You may have heard some inappropriate language.
“But as you can imagine, emotions are high.”
Relley’s departure was the first since voting changed to enable viewers to vote for their favourite acts from the beginning of Saturday (22.10.16) night’s show, rather than after the performances have all aired.
Next week will see the hopefuls perform tracks that fit the Fright Night theme.

Lesley Joseph leaves Strictly

OHMYGOSSIP — Lesley Joseph has been voted off ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The ‘Bird of a Feather’ actress and her professional partner Anton du Beke were sent home by the judges on Sunday (2310.16) after failing to impress with their tango in the dance-off against Daisy Lowe and Aljaz Skorjanec, who had to do their Charleston again.
Craig Revel Horwood cast his vote first and chose to save Daisy and Aljaz, as did Darcey Bussell and Bruno Tonioli, meaning head judge Len Goodman didn’t have to choose either couple, but admitted he would have also opted to send Lesley and Anton home.
Explaining his choice, Craig said: “I love both couples for completely different reasons. But for me tonight, for precision, for an improved performance in this particular dance-off, and finishing on time, the couple I would like to save is Daisy and Aljaz.”
Darcey also admitted it had been a “very difficult” choice, while Bruno opted to save Daisy and Aljaz because of their “stronger technique and performance”.
Both Lesley, 71, and Anton, 50, had nothing but good things to say about one another and admitted they had adored working together.
Lesley said: “Learning a new dance every week has just been lovely, working with him has been an absolute joy and we’ve laughed a lot. And yeah it’s been just a lovely lovely lovely journey and it’s come to an end and that’s absolutely fine. We’ve loved it.”
Emotional Anton added: “I would just like to say thank you very much, you enriched my whole Strictly experience this year. Dancing with you has been an absolute joy. You pushed me, I don’t know about me pushing you, you pushed me to try and be more creative and make the numbers better and that’s just down to you and you’re just an absolute joy. And I love you dearly.”

Carolyn Smith to be Len Goodman's Strictly Come Dancing replacement?

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ bosses have held secret talks with a little-known TV star about replacing Len Goodman.
Carolyn Smith, who is best known as a judge on the Italian version of the BBC show, is being eyed as a potential replacement for the long-serving head judge, and Carloyn is upbeat about her chances of landing the role.
She shared: “It’s looking positive and I’m ready to return.
“The Italian ‘Strictly’ has the same rules and I’ve done 83 shows. If I succeed in replacing Len I can give a female point of view and on ‘Strictly’ there are no other experts on ballroom dancing.
“Why should it always be from a man’s point of view. I still teach world class couples, something Len doesn’t do, and I have 6 world titles amongst my students.
“I have a fiery Scottish temperament and I’ve become known for my strong constructive comments to VIPs.”
Carolyn has claimed she can help to give the popular programme even more “credibility” if she is afforded the chance.
She told the Sunday Mirror newspaper: “I always give ways of improving and never criticise in an insulting way. I really care that VIPs learn and leave the show loving dance, not like Len’s approach where he made comments to Will Young that to my mind were unacceptable and pretty damn dreadful.
“Frankly with all my experience I can give more credibility to ‘Strictly’.”
She claimed that talks are ongoing and that her own successes as a dancer are central to her hopes.
Carolyn said: “Discussions are going well. It’s important is that I’ve been dancing since I was 4, all forms of dance, and have become the dance expert in every home in Italy, with a huge following. I need to fulfil this dream.
“I think it’s going to happen but right now I can’t say too much.”

Colin Farrell has never read Harry Potter books

OHMYGOSSIP — Colin Farrell never read the ‘Harry Potter’ books before starring in ‘Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them’.
The Irish actor plays the role of Percival Graves, the director of security at the Magical Congress of the United States of America, in the eagerly-awaited new movie, which is based on J.K. Rowling’s book of the same name.
Colin revealed he has never read J.K’s most popular books but is a self-confessed fan of the ‘Harry Potter’ film series.
He shared: “There are a few films where in they’re on the television, I just can’t turn them off, they’re just so comforting; and any ‘Harry Potter ‘series qualifies as one of those films.
“It’s just such a beautiful and immersive world, that pays due respect to human emotions. I would be a liar if I said being in a trailer where that score kicks in didn’t get me excited. I’m 40 and I shouldn’t say such things.”
Colin also revealed he was captivated by the script for the new movie, which is due out in November.
Asked how he prepared for his role, Colin told SFX magazine: “Imagination. Mine and J.K. Rowling’s and (director) David Yates’. The script was very descriptive and beautiful and filled with all these machinations of magic.
“You can only twirl a wand around in your hotel for so long until you feel like an idiot because… nothing’s happening. It can’t even change the channel.”

Judge Rinder gets 'tingles' over Darcey Bussell

OHMYGOSSIP — Judge Robert Rinder gets “tingles” whenever Darcey Bussell speaks to him.
The 40-year-old star – who is openly gay – has had a crush on the ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ judge for years and even after weeks on the show, he still blushes whenever they meet backstage.
He admitted: “I was at Darcey’s last performance of ‘Song Of The Earth’ at the Royal Opera House nine years ago, before she retired as a ballerina, so when she says hello to me now, I blush from head to foot.
“I’m such a huge fan. Even backstage, I’m like a shy schoolboy.
“She called me ‘cute’ when I was dressed as a caveman. I felt myself going beetroot. I got the tingles.”
Robert has faced a lot of criticism from judge Craig Revel Horwood, but he poked fun at the panelist for his obsession with his facial expressions.
He told Closer magazine: “As long as he says constructive things I don’t care.
“The poor darling seems to be more upset with my facial expressions, but I can understand why that is.
“I’ve said it before and it’s true – it must be very challenging to see someone with s much facial range as me. Also, it’s been a while since he’s had that suppleness.”
Though all the contestants have forged a strong bond, the ‘Judge Rinder’ star has grown particularly close to Olympian Greg Rutherford, 29.
He said: “I adore Greg. He’s the type of guy you wish was your big brother – you know he would stand between you and a bully. All the contestants are on a big WhatsApp group – it’s really funny. I hope we all go out for dinner when this has finished and I really hope to go on a trip with Greg and his family.”
