Jean-Christophe Novelli's newborn son diagnosed with cancer

OHMYGOSSIP — Jean-Christophe Novelli’s newborn son has been diagnosed with cancer.
The 55-year-old celebrity chef welcomed his fourth child, Valentino Louis, into the world with his partner Michelle Kennedy, 40, in September and the couple have revealed that the baby is suffering from Neuroblastoma, a rare type of cancer which mostly affects babies and young children.
Jean-Christophe’s spokesperson told HELLO!: “Jean-Christophe’s priority at this time is supporting his family as they deal with this devastating news. It is still very early days but they remain positive and believe the NHS experts are doing everything possible.
“Jean has had to postpone all his immediate work over the next two weeks to be with his baby and support his family but is grateful for the understanding and support during this very difficult time.”
The couple – who have been together for 10 years and engaged for eight – also have sons Jean, eight, and Jacques, four, while the chef has daughter Christina, 30, with his first wife Tina.
Speaking recently about Valentino, Jean-Christophe revealed he missed the birth because he was taking his two other boys to school but Christina was there instead.
He said: “It was Jacques’ first day at big school, which was a big deal for him. I was hoping to be there for the birth but Michelle insisted that I took the boys.
“I knew it was the best thing for everybody. As soon as he was born at 9am Christina sent me a text with a picture. I cried.
“It was so magical. I have always wanted three sons and this is the perfect hat-trick. All the ingredients are here for a lovely recipe. It’s wonderful to have children.”

Andrea McLean retunring to Loose Women following op

OHMYGOSSIP — Andrea McLean is returning to ‘Loose Women’ on Monday (07.11.16) following her hysterectomy operation.
The 47-year-old brunette took a break from the daytime chat show six weeks ago to have surgery to remove her womb and now after spending time at home convalescing she is coming back to take her seat on the panel and will open up on the “personal reasons” for her surgery.
Andrea’s co-star Kaye Adams made the announcement on ‘Loose Women’ on Friday (03.11.16) confirming that she would be back before revealing Andrea had sent viewers a sweet video message.
Andrea looked really well in the clip as she shared her excitement to be coming back to the panel.
She said: “Hi everyone, I just wanted to say I’m so excited about coming back to work on Monday. I’ve really missed you.”
Holding up a pair of heels that will soon be releasing her slippers, she added: “But most of all, I can’t wait to stop wearing these and start wearing these … See you Monday, bye!”
Andrea had hoped to return to work much sooner but she was forced to delay her comeback a few weeks ago as her body hadn’t fully healed from the surgery.
Over the last few weeks she has been healing at home with the support of her partner Nick Feeney.
In a previous interview, Andrea – who has son Finlay, 15, with her ex-husband Nick Green and daughter Amy, nine, with her second spouse Steve Toms – said: “I was meant to go back to ‘Loose Women’ after a month but after a few weeks I was nowhere near ready. Next year, will be Andrea’s 10th anniversary at Loose Women and her 20th year of working at ITV.

Ola Jordan wants to star in Hollyoaks

OHMYGOSSIP — Ola Jordan wants to star in ‘Hollyoaks’.
The 34-year-old professional dancer – best known for her time competing on BBC One show ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ – believes British soaps should start including Polish characters to represent the population of Poles who live in the UK and she would be up for taking on a role in the Channel 4 series.
Ola – who was born in Legionowo, Poland – is quoted by the Daily Star newspaper as saying: “Acting would be quite fun. I’d do anything. I could be in ‘Hollyoaks’. I could be the Polish cleaner. There are so many Polish people in the UK but they don’t have any in the soaps. They need one. And I’d be the right person to do it.”
While waiting to achieve her acting ambitions, Ola has posed for a new racy calendar for 2017, and her husband James Jordan, also a former ‘Strictly’ dancer, has described the photos as “seriously hot”.
He told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “She has a calendar coming out that is really hot. It’s so hot it should be x rated. I’m not kidding it’s seriously hot.”
The couple – who married in 2003 – are no strangers to posing for revealing photo shoots and are not shy about speaking about the sex life together.
Ola previously claimed that lovemaking with her husband is “short and sweet” but “very good”.
She said: “James is very good and very quick. A bit like a salsa. It only takes five minutes. It is quick. It’s always short but sweet. And he’s as fiery as you’d expect. It’s a natural thing to do when you have five minutes here and there.”
The raunchy couple also previously made headlines after admitting to having sex behind the scenes of ‘Strictly’.
She said: “We’ve been married for a long time and we used to have a dressing room together. I haven’t spoken to Brucie (Bruce Forsyth) about it, but we did it behind a closed door.”

Andrew Garfield: The film industry needs 'more original material'

OHMYGOSSIP — Andrew Garfield thinks the film industry needs “more original material”.
The 33-year-old actor stars as Desmond Doss in Mel Gibson’s recently released true story ‘Hacksaw Ridge’, and has said the key to getting the 60-year-old filmmaker to create more movies is to come up with new content that “hits deep into the human condition”.
He said: “I think [Mel] is so discerning in the stories that he wants to tell. He’s obviously a devoted filmmaker, and if he’s going to go to work on something for two to three years it’s got to have the emotional capacity and possibility that a story like Desmond Doss’ story has.
“So I just think we need more original material that actually hits deep into the human condition and offers something to an audience that goes beyond popcorn munching and numbness. He wants to wake an audience up and make them feel themselves, and feel grateful for the lives they’re living.”
‘Hacksaw Ridge’ tells the story of Desmond during the bloodiest battle of World War II where he saved 75 men without firing or carrying a single gun, making him the only American soldier in the war to fight on the front lines without a weapon.
But the story told in ‘Hacksaw Ridge’ is less “absurd” than what actually happened, according to Andrew.
He added to Collider.com: “For me, the character of Desmond is stranger than fiction. There was stuff that he did in the battlefield that we couldn’t put in the film because it would have been absurd. After he stepped on the grenade and his leg gets blown off – that actually happened – he’s carried on the stretcher.
“But in reality what happened is he saw another wounded guy, rolled off the stretcher, crawled over to the wounded guy, started treating his wounds and then said ‘Give this guy the stretcher, I’ll crawl back, he’s in worse shape than me.’
“And he starts crawling, grabs a gun and uses it as a splint on his arm, gets shot up on the way back. It’s crazy what he did, it’s insane. It’s insane, literally insane.”

Gemma Arterton drawn to taboo plot of The Escape

OHMYGOSSIP — Gemma Arterton was fascinated by her character in ‘The Escape’ because she is a mother who walks out on her kids.
The 30-year-old actress will portray a character named Tara in the upcoming drama, a woman who “walks out” on her family – comprised of two children and her businessman husband played by Dominic Cooper – because she “feels trapped” and unfulfilled by family life.
When Gemma read the script she knew straight away it would be an interesting part to play because Tara’s actions are deemed to be unacceptable by many in society.
Speaking to the Daily Mail newspaper, the brunette beauty said of her character: “[Tara is] a creative person, but she’s got absolutely no outlet for her creativity – and what that means is that Tara feels trapped – though she’s not.
“This is about a woman who walks out on her family – which isn’t usually the term that’s used. Usually the word is ‘abandoned’.
“‘Abandoned by my mother’ is such a strong term – and I think it’s because of this idea of ‘How could they possibly do that?’ Because women should feel: that’s why we exist. And I don’t think that’s the case.”
Shooting the escape has made Gemma – who divorced from Stefano Catelli in 2015 after five years of marriage – think twice about having children of her own.
She added: “It makes you think of your own life. I’ve always wanted to have children, [but now I think] ‘Oh my God … do I?’ ”
Gemma has also been serving as a producer on the project, making ‘The Escape’ her producing debut.
The movie is being directed by Dominic Savage, and filming wrapped recently.
Speaking about the content of the movie, Gemma said previously: “‘The Escape’ will be an exploration of marriage and motherhood. It is frank, honest and unapologetically from the woman’s point of view. It will be extremely personal. I look forward to embarking on it, surrounded by people I trust and who understand the intention, and to digging deep and finding truth.”

Dawn French won't host The Great British Bake Off

OHMYGOSSIP — Dawn French has ruled herself out of presenting ‘The Great British Bake Off’.
The 59-year-old actress, writer and comedian has followed the lead of her long-time comedy partner Jennifer Saunders in confirming that neither of them have any intention of hosting the TV baking competition when it moves from BBC One to Channel 4 next year.
The pair were linked to the show after hosts Mel Giedroyc and Sue Perkins, along with judge Mary Berry, quit the programme when Love Productions sold the rights to Channel 4 in a deal worth an estimated £75 million.
Speaking to the Daily Mirror newspaper, Dawn said: “I think that rumour started because what other two girls are there working together? It’s as simple as that. ‘Those two, them’. Absolutely not, no. It’ll probably work perfectly nicely on Channel 4. They don’t have to get many viewers to be pleased.
“Mary will get her own thing and Mel and Sue will get their own thing and everyone will be happy.”
Although Mary, 81, is done with ‘GBBO’ she recently confirmed she’ll be working with Mel and Sue again on a new project.
Speaking on ‘The Chris Evans Breakfast Show’ on BBC Radio 2, she said: “We will do something because we’re good pals, and who knows what it would be? We haven’t been approached yet, but we would love to do something together. I love their humour.”
Although the threesome are yet to sign up to their next project, it’s believed bosses at the BBC are hoping to get them on board their forthcoming culinary programme, which has the working title ‘The Big Family Cooking Challenge’, for the beginning of 2017.
Meanwhile Mary Berry will return to BBC One next year for a new cookery and history programme called ‘In Secret From Britain’s Great Houses’.
However, not everyone is staying with the BBC as Mary’s co-judge Paul Hollywood has decided to follow the show over to Channel 4 when it makes its switch later this year.

Daisy Lowe is Strictly eating takeaway

OHMYGOSSIP — Daisy Lowe has been living on takeaways since she started competing on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The 27-year-old model has been so busy each week rehearsing with her professional partner Aljaz Skorjanec for her routines at the weekends and been so tired from their sessions she just wants to go home and get food from a mobile phone app at the end of each day.
Speaking on ITV breakfast show ‘Lorraine’ on Friday morning (04.11.16), Daisy said: “Going in to this I thought I’m going to try and have dinner out of the house at least once a week but now all those delivery apps have become my best friend.”
Despite her reliance on convenience food, the sultry brunette doesn’t have to worry about piling on the pounds because she has never exercised so much in her life.
She shared: “The best thing for me is not having food guilt because I love eating so much and so I’ve been eating everything and just dancing and thinking it’s OK.”
And Daisy – who has been in the bottom two for the last two consecutive weeks – will have the support of her mother Pearl Lowe this Saturday (05.11.16) as she is heading to Elstree to watch her daughter perform.
Daisy shared: “It’s been a lovely thing for my family to focus on because we lost my grandfather on my first day of ‘Strictly’ and it’s been such a lovely gift actually for my whole family to throw themselves into. My grandma is there every Saturday in the green room so it’s been really special.”
Daisy’s dad, ‘The Voice’ coach Gavin Rossdale, is yet to go and watch her perform live, but she is definitely looking forward to seeing him join Will.i.am, Sir Tom Jones and Jennifer Hudson on the panel of the pop star search show.
She said: “I’m excited about The Voice and to get down there. I think he will be a very nurturing coach.”

Ian Lavender returning to EastEnders

OHMYGOSSIP — Ian Lavender is returning to ‘EastEnders’ for the festive period episodes.
The 70-year-old actor – best known for his role as Private Pike in ‘Dad’s Army’ – is reprising his role as Derek Harkinson in the BBC soap and his character will reunite with Martin Fowler for a plot that runs throughout the Christmas period.
Speaking about his Walford comeback, he said: “It was a lovely surprise to be back and I had a great time. It was brilliant to work with some old friends again, especially those who I only briefly got to work with before.”
Ian originally played Derek from 2001 to 2005, which saw him involved in multiple plots, largely consisting of his companionship with Martin’s mother Pauline Fowler – played by the late Wendy Richards – who discovered that he was gay after she made a romantic move on him.
He was also looked upon as a father figure by Martin (James Bye), before leaving Albert Square to be with his own family.
Ian’s comeback follows a spate of confirmed exits from the likes of Nitin Ganatra – who played Masood Ahmed – and Rita Simons and Samantha Womack, who play sisters Roxy and Ronnie Mitchell.

Gemma Arterton opens up about The Escape

OHMYGOSSIP — Gemma Arterton has opened up about her character in ‘The Escape’. The 30-year-old actress will portray a character named Tara in the upcoming drama, a woman who “walks out” on her family – comprised of two children and her businessman husband played by Dominic Cooper – because she “feels trapped”.

Speaking to the Daily Mail newspaper, the brunette beauty said of her character: “[Tara is] a creative person, but she’s got absolutely no outlet for her creativity — and what that means is that Tara feels trapped — though she’s not.

“‘Abandoned by my mother’ is such a strong term — and I think it’s because of this idea of ‘How could they possibly do that?’ Because women should feel: that’s why we exist. And I don’t think that’s the case.”

‘The Escape’ aims to tackle the somewhat taboo subject of a mother leaving her children behind because she does not feel fulfilled by the role of motherhood, and Gemma – who divorced from Stefano Catelli in 2015 after five years of marriage – has said making the film made her think twice about having children of her own.

Louise Redknapp injures Kevin Clifton

OHMYGOSSIP — Louise Redknapp left dance partner Kevin Clifton in agony after kicking him in the privates. The 41-year-old singer and her ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ pro are currently training for an Argentine Tango and Louise admits she mistimed one of her kicks, leaving Kevin rolling around the floor in a lot of pain.

And Louise admits she could have caused permanent damage for Kevin, who is married to fellow pro Karen Clifton. Appearing on ‘Strictly’ spin-off show ‘It Takes Two’, host Zoe Ball asked Louise of she had ruined Kevin and Karen’s chance of having children.

She replied: “Oh yes! I have maybe ruined it for Kevin and Karen for life.” Speaking about the accident Louise revealed: “Kevin told me to be really aggressive. So then I was really aggressive . . . Maybe slightly too aggressive.”

Kevin added: “So I took a kick-boxing combination to an area I would rather not have that combination.”
Zoe then joked with Kevin, saying: “I thought you were speaking in quite a high voice when you came in.”

Louise – who has two children with husband Jamie Redknapp – says she knew she’d hurt Kevin when he fell to the floor in agony.
She said: “When he rolled across the floor I thought, ‘Oh, I think I might have hurt him.'”

The former Eternal singer recently revealed that she was “freaked out” at the thought of getting up close and personal with Kevin.
She said: “I haven’t held Jamie’s hand for lots of years, you know!

“I’m going to have to say to my partner, ‘can we like high-five? Does that work for you? I’m not very tactile. I know for me, it’ll take me a while.”

Quentin Tarantino to retire

OHMYGOSSIP — Quentin Tarantino has confirmed his retirement.
The ‘Reservoir Dogs’ filmmaker says he will end his career after making two more movies as that will take him to 10 features.
Speaking at the Adobe Max creativity conference in San Diego, the director said: “Drop the mic. Boom. Tell everybody, ‘Match that sh*t.'”
Tarantino – whose other films also include ‘Pulp Fiction’ and ‘Kill Bill’ – has always said he will retire once he reaches 10 films.
In 2014, he revealed: “It’s not etched in stone, but that is the plan…I am planning to stop at 10 [films], but at 75 I might decide I have another story to do.”
During the creativity conference, Tarantino spoke about his definition of success.
He said: “Hopefully, the way I define success when I finish my career is that I’m considered one of the greatest filmmakers that ever lived. And going further, a great artist, not just filmmaker.”
He also revealed some of the secrets behind his creative process – each new script involves a tour through his personal record collection, stored in a room designed to evoke a vintage record store.
He said: “So much of [the movie’s language] revolves around a sound or a song. Before I’ve started, I’m seriously thinking about the music. I’m listening to a track and picturing everyone at the Cannes Palais just loving it.”
Although he is yet to start work on his next full-length scripted film, the 53-year-old star is currently working on a documentary about the year 1970.

Mark Wright and Michelle Keegan to have baby 'soon'

OHMYGOSSIP — Mark Wright and Michelle Keegan will have a baby “soon.”
The 29-year-old presenter’s mother Carol Wright has teased that the loved-up couple, who got married last year, are thinking about starting a family together.
Asked if she wants grandchildren, Carol told new! magazine: “I will be soon, I’m sure. And they reckon they come like buses, so I know that’s going to happen to me.”
Prior to tying the knot, the ‘Our Girl’ star had been dating the handsome reality TV hunk for three years but she has admitted she’s never felt more settled than after they exchanged their vows.
She said: “I do feel more settled [since we got married]. I don’t know why but I feel like more of a team. You become your own little family.”
The 29-year-old actress initially wanted to have four children with her beau but she’s now decided that juggling her career with lots of little ones would be too much for her to handle.
She said last year: “My mum and Mark’s mum keep asking when I am going to have a baby.
“After the wedding, it’s the next question, but we’ve not thought about it much.
“I’ve always said I wanted four kids – but reality has set in – I couldn’t deal with four! I’ve seen it first hand and it’s hard work. We’re in no rush yet.”
The couple’s relationship has been the hot topic of conversation in recent months as Michelle was away shooting the war drama in South Africa for 12 weeks but she’s adamant their romance withstands the distance because they are best friends and have a “laugh” with each other.
She said when pressed on relationship advice: “Just have a laugh with each other. Plus, we always have a date night once a week. That’s the key, being best friends and having a laugh.”
