Anton Du Beke's baby joy

OHMYGOSSIP — Anton Du Beke and his partner are expecting twins.
The ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ professional is to become a father for the first time at the age of 50 after revealing that longtime love Hannah Summers is pregnant following IVF treatment.
He said: “Hannah and I are delighted to announce that we are expecting twins in the spring. We are over the moon!”
An insider told The Sun: “Anton and Hannah are very happy together, and they decided some time ago that they were both ready to have children.
“Hannah didn’t fall pregnant quite as quickly as they would have liked and it was a source of worry for them for a while.
“Eventually they decided they wanted to try IVF treatment and they are delighted it has worked.
“Hannah is now more than three months pregnant and she seems to be coping very well.”
Anton and Hannah, 41, have been dating for six years and he has previously spoken of his desire to marry her.
Last year Anton said: “She’s just perfect. I love her above all things. Will we marry? Maybe next year. We’re very happy.”
Meanwhile, it was recently claimed that both Anton and fellow dance professional Karen Hardy are both being lined up to replace outgoing judge Len Goodman on ‘Strictly’.
A source said: “Replacing Len is proving a real headache because he has such experience and is so well respected.
“Dancers like Anton and Karen might be good in the role – but they are inexperienced and might not battle to keep [fellow judges] Bruno Tonioli and Craig Revel Horwood in check like Len does.
“However there is a feeling without Len’s calming measured influence the panel might need a fifth judge to stop there being a deadlock and casting vote. It is an idea that has been discussed privately.
“The plan would be for Anton – or the other judge – to join the panel and the other judge to join for the results show to stop there being a need for a casting vote currently used by Len.”

Bruce Forsyth still recovering after surgery last year

OHMYGOSSIP — Sir Bruce Forsyth won’t return to work until he is 100 per cent well.
The 88-year-old TV presenter had to have surgery last year for two life-threatening aneurysms which he suffered after a fall at home and his wife, Lady Wilnelia, 59, admits recovery has been difficult.
She told YOU magazine: “The operation took his energy because of his age, there’s no question about it. Some days are better than others. On the not-so-good days, he tries to rest.
“We eat well – lots of vegetables, white meat and fish – and he’s working really hard with the physio. He’s in incredible shape mentally but he gets very tired. He doesn’t want to do anything publicly until he’s 100 per cent well. I respect that.”
Wilnelia says her husband’s love of TV has been keeping him entertained while he rests at home.
She explained: “Thank God he’s a TV freak. During the summer he followed the Olympics. Now we have The Apprentice. He enjoys watching Question Time, we do puzzles and he loves the internet. I used to go to a Zumba class to keep fit; now I do it at home in front of him. The children come to stay all the time, so there’s plenty of love around.”
And although Wilnelia doesn’t want to think of a life without her husband, she says he has told her that she is strong and will survive without him.
She said: “I don’t think about it too much. I hope I’ll be prepared somehow, but it doesn’t feel real. He’s the man I fell in love with because his brain is there. He has a bit of a problem moving, but we still laugh and talk. I pray, I believe. The main thing is that he’s doing well. The pain is more emotional; sometimes we cry, but mostly we laugh.”

Chelsee Healey still finding 'feet' in Hollyoaks

OHMYGOSSIP — Chelsee Healey is still “finding her feet’ in ‘Hollyoaks’.
The 28-year-old actress will bound onto screens as Goldie McQueen this month after months of shooting her arrival but she has admitted, despite her experience in ‘Waterloo Road’ and ‘Casualty’, she’s still trying to settle in with the cast.
Speaking to Inside Soap magazine, she said: “I’ve never actually done a soap before – only dramas – so I’m still finding my feet and really enjoying it.
“I think Goldie and Janeece [Chelsee’s character in ‘Waterloo Road’] are quit similar, but Goldie’s a lot more eccentric. I like playing Honey in ‘Casualty’ because she was so ditzy. I loved both jobs and still remember them fondly.”
The brunette beauty found out she’d landed the role earlier this year but was even more “made up” when she learnt she was join the famous fictional family alongside Jennifer Metcalfe.
She explained to the publication: “I was made up! I was happy enough to get the part in ‘Hollyoaks’ but when they told me I was a new McQueen I was so glad.
“They’re a massive part of the show, and Jen [who plays Mercedes] and Nicole Barber-Lane [Myra] have made me feel right at home. I wouldn’t have wanted to join as anyone but a McQueen.”

John Cleese joins the cast of Elliot: The Littlest Reindeer

OHMYGOSSIP — John Cleese has joined the cast of ‘Elliot: The Littlest Reindeer’.
The 77-year-old actor will join Samantha Bee and Martin Short in voicing a character for the animated movie, which tells the story of a tiny horse who attempts to gain a place on Santa Clause’s sleigh team when Blitzen retires.
DDI president and CEO Jason Moring said: “Having an iconic comedian like John Cleese join the pairing of Samantha Bee and Martin Short further proves the fun natured, global family appeal of Elliot.”
Speaking previously about Samantha and Martin’s involvement, he said: “We’ve added two extremely talented comedians, Samantha and Martin, who will surely bring some cheers to this fun-loving holiday movie.”
The movie is being produced by Dan Krech and Lucas Lynette-Krech.
Meanwhile, John recently admitted he gets “very irritated” when fans ask to take pictures with him.
The ‘Monty Python’ star has confessed he hates being asked to pose for photos by members of the public and always refuses to do so whenever he is approached.
He said: “I do get very irritated by people who come up and say, ‘Can I have a picture with you?’ Now this is someone you have never seen before in your life, who taps you and says, ‘Can I have a picture with you?’
“I kind of say, ‘What? To commemorate the fact that we met three seconds ago.’ I think it is the celebrity culture. So I very nicely say, ‘Sorry I don’t do that’. And sometimes I say, ‘I don’t do that but why don’t you ask the guy over there?’ Because if somebody went up to you in the street and said, ‘Could I have a picture with you?’ You would say, ‘Urgh.'”

Louis Walsh and Nicole Scherzinger slam Girls Aloud

OHMYGOSSIP — Louis Walsh appeared to slam Girls Aloud on Saturday’s (05.11.16) ‘X Factor’.
Louis initially managed the chart-topping girl band – comprised of former ‘X Factor’ judge Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, Nadine Coyle, Kimberley Walsh, Nicola Roberts and Sarah Harding – after they found fame on ‘Popstars: The Rivals’ before parting ways, and he took a dig at them on ‘The X Factor’.
Introducing his act Four of Diamonds on Girl Group versus Boy Band week, Louis said: “These are four of the nicest girls I’ve ever worked with.”
Simon Cowell also appeared to reference Louis’ feud with Girls Aloud, introducing Sam Lavery’s version of ‘I’ll Stand By You’, by cheekily saying: “I’m dedicating this one to Louis, it’s a Girls Aloud song.”
And Nicole Scherzinger took a swipe at Girls Aloud, telling Saara Aalto, who performed ‘Sound of the Underground’: “That song doesn’t really go anywhere vocally. You’re bigger than that song.”
While Simon accused her of being catty by meowing, Nicole added: “I loved what you did with it but is somebody singing a Pussycat Dolls song next?!”
Meanwhile, following Four of Diamonds’ performance of Wilson Phillips’ ‘Hold On’, which was well received by the judges, Louis commented on their close friendship.
He said: “They’re genuinely great friends – that’s what makes them different from all the other groups out there.”
However, Simon – whose roster of Syco acts includes groups such as Little Mix and One Direction – did not look too pleased at the remark.
Earlier in the night, Matt Terry’s version of Wham’s ‘I’m Your Man’ received a mixed reaction from the judges but there was a positive note when Simon compared him to ‘X Factor’ breakout star Olly Murs.
And Five After Midnight closed the show with their own version of The Spice Girls’ ‘Say You’ll Be There’.
The trio received a standing ovation from the judges, with Nicole calling their performance a “game changer”.
She added: “You took a Spice Girls song and made it sound like Stevie Wonder. I am blown away.”
Sharon Osbourne added: “Everything was right tonight, it was the perfect balance of singing and dancing. It was just right.”
Simon said: “When I heard you were going to be doing that song, I thought ‘Oh my God’, but that was incredible. Tonight everything felt like it was coming from you and it felt real. This is so impressive Congratulations Louis.”
Their mentor Louis said: “They made the Spice Girls cool, it was absolutely amazing.”

Simon Cowell blasts Honey G's critics

OHMYGOSSIP — Simon Cowell has blasted critics of Honey G.
After the rapper performed Criss Cross’ ‘Jump’ on Saturday’s (05.11.16) ‘The X Factor’, the music mogul insisted she deserves her place in the competition.
He said: “I have to say something Honey G, you know what, that is why this show is called ‘The X Factor’.
“On paper this shouldn’t work but once again tonight you stepped up Honey G. There are so many people getting their knickers in a twist over you, but music can be fun. You are fun and entertaining and you are also one of the nicest contestants we have ever had on the show.”
Simon was not the only judge to praise Honey G, with Nicole calling her performance “fricking crazy”.
She said: “You have earned my respect. All the hard work you are putting in is paying off. That was fricking crazy.”
And her mentor Sharon Osbourne added: “I am so happy for you and cannot wait for the Honey G album.”
The rapper was thrilled with the feedback and vowed to continue her winning streak all the way to the final.
She told host Dermot O’Leary: “I am here to switch things up, ready to take it to the finals and go all the way.”
And viewers were also impressed, with former ‘X Factor’ contestant Stevi Ritchie tweeting after the performance: “Ok I put it out there….If #HoneyG makes final I will do a Duet with her @TheXFactor #thexfactor2016finals xx (sic).”

Laura Whitmore apologises to Strictly partner

OHMYGOSSIP — Laura Whitmore apologised to her professional partner Giovanni Pernice on Saturday’s (05.11.16) ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The MTV presenter was upset after she stumbled during their Samba routine and could be heard saying ‘I’m sorry’ to Giovanni as they left the stage.
She also told presenter Claudia Winkleman: “I feel really bad that I messed that bit up.”
Judge Craig Revel Horwood acknowledged the mistake and said: “It looked a bit awkward but I thought you did a very good job,” while Darcey Bussell said: “It’s a shame you lost sync.”
Head judge Len Goodman called Laura a star but added: “I’d have liked a little more Laura than Giovanni! You sacrificed technique to give us impact.”
However, Bruno Tonioli was more positive, saying: “It really sizzled, you gave everything, got everyone going.”
Despite being upset at her mistake, Laura received a total of 32 points from the judges.
Meanwhile, Danny Mac and his dance partner Oti Mabuse received the first 10 of this series for their Jive and were awarded a total of 38 points by the judges.
Daisy Lowe and Aljaz Skorjanec received 34 points for their Viennese Waltz while the judges were pleasantly surprised by Ed Balls’ Quickstep with Katya Jones.
Craig said: “I can’t believe I’m actually saying this – you are actually improving and that’s brilliant to see.”
However, it was Louise Redknapp and Kevin Clifton who topped the leaderboard with 39 points as they wowed the judges with their Argentine Tango.
The ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ results show will air on BBC One on Sunday (06.11.16).

Benedict Cumberbatch: Being a dad helps my acting

OHMYGOSSIP — Benedict Cumberbatch thinks being a father has helped his career.
The ‘Doctor Strange’ actor – who already has 16-month-old son Christopher with his wife Sophie Hunter, who is expecting their second child – admits his little boy is a huge source of “inspiration” to him and thinks the youngster gives him “strength”.
He said: “Lots of people, especially women, get told, ‘Oh parenthood is really going to affect your career – and it does, but for the better I think.
“I know I’m in a very privileged position in my career but I think everyone, even if they’re in a challenging time in their life, draws strength from their children. They are your inspiration. It adds to your work, it never takes away.”
And the 40-year-old actor admitted being a dad has affected his relationship with his own parents, Timothy Carlton and Wanda Ventham.
He said: “How you think about your parents suddenly accelerates. It’s about understanding what they did for you, how they did it and, in my case, being incredibly grateful and really moved.”
The ‘Sherlock’ star has always looked up to his actor parents to set the standard of how to balance his work and family life.
He said: “I started out in this profession with two parents to live up to who had successful careers, the respect of their peers, and a good time doing a job that can be tough on family life. I thought, if I do half as good a job as them, then I’m fine.
“Their standards are the standards I wanted to meet. My parents are incredibly supportive now. Not that they weren’t in the beginning – they just wanted something different and better for me, something a bit more grown up … for me to be a barrister or doctor or something else.”
Though Benedict contemplated a legal career, he soon realised it would come with as many pitfalls as his first passion.
He told HELLO! magazine: “Law bit deepest for a while but as I went down that route, I discovered it was just as precarious – you’re only as good as your last case, it’s oversubscribed as a profession and there are so many brilliant people not getting jobs. So why not pursue my first dream and roll with the punches.”

Saira Khan lost innocence with assault

OHMYGOSSIP — Saira Khan lost her “innocence” when she was abused at the age of 13.
The ‘Loose Women’ panellist revealed on the show earlier this week that she was sexually assaulted by her father’s brother and she believes the “one-off” incident affected her forever.
She said: “I am a strong woman but that day my innocence was taken away
“It was a one-off but enough to shape what happened the rest of my life. Some may find that hard to believe. But it is true.
“I’m not saying it made me a victim and I certainly don’t want pity.”
Saira admitted she didn’t know what to do when her uncle came into her bedroom and began touching her, so she simply carried on doing her homework as she was suddenly “transported into the adult world”.
She told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “It felt like it went on for an age. I kept thinking: ‘You are my uncle. Why are you doing this?’
“My heart was beating a million miles an hour but I thought if I didn’t acknowledge what was happening, it would stop.
“He carried on and on and because I didn’t know what to do, I did nothing, just kept doing my homework. It was like in that moment I was transported into the adult world. Everything changed.
“Up until that day I’d been totally innocent. I wasn’t even allowed to play out or get on a bus by myself.”
The 46-year-old star only confided in someone about her ordeal when she met her husband Steve Hyde. She then told her mother and brothers after her father and uncle were both dead.
But she admitted her mum was shocked when she spoke out on ‘Loose Women this week.
She said: My mum said to me yesterday, ‘Why did you have to talk about it on the television?’
“I explained if I didn’t talk about it I’d be colluding with the silence. Deep down I think she understands. And since the show, I’ve been inundated with messages from women with similar experiences.”

Garry Marshall praised by sister

OHMYGOSSIP — Garry Marshall’s sister has praised him for giving her “a life”.
The 81-year-old director – who died in July – gave Penny Marshall her big break in ‘The Odd Couple’, and she was catapulted to bigger success in another of his shows, ‘Happy Days’ spin-off ‘Laverne & Shirley’, and she’ll always be grateful for his helping hand.
She said: “My brother gave me a life. It’s not many people who have a brother who give them a life. He gave me a life and I appreciate it and I tried to not let him down.”
Penny is to star in an ‘Odd Couple’ tribute episode alongside her former ‘Laverne & Shirley’ co-star Cindy Williams.
And Cindy admits she initially thought it was a “joke” when her pal told her just how ill her brother was.
She recalled to ‘Entertainment Tonight’: “Penny called me. She said, ‘Garry’s sick. I think he’s dying.’ I didn’t believe her. I thought it was a joke. That night he passed, and someone brought me this picture of Penny, me and Garry and Henry [Winkler]. It was at the Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony and I just burst out crying.”
Current ‘Odd Couple’ star Thomas Lennon is still stunned he could count Garry as a friend.
He wept as he said: “If you could go back somehow and tell the childhood version of myself that the creator of ‘Happy Days’ and ‘Laverne & Shirley’ would be my friend, I would never have believed it.
“Excuse me. I am Irish. I cry a ton.”
The tribute episode will see Oscar (Matthew Perry) reconnecting with people from his father Walter’s life as he prepares to scatter his ashes behind the candy factory his dad – who was played by Garry – used to own.
Ron Howard, Marion Ross, Anson Williams, Don Most and Pam Dawber will also guest star on the episode, which airs on November 7.

Ola Jordan signs up for I'm A Celebrity

OHMYGOSSIP — Ola Jordan has signed up for ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’.
The 34-year-old dancer – who quit ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ last year after 10 years on the show – will join stars reportedly including Scarlett Moffatt, Carol Voderman, Danny Baker and Lisa Snowdon in the Australian jungle next week.
A source said: “Ola is a no-brainer of a signing. She’s well-known, gorgeous and has strong opinions.
“Add difficult challenges and starvation to those qualities and she’s sure to make great telly.”
But signing Ola to star in the tough contest wasn’t the only attraction for show bosses, as they are also hoping her outspoken husband James Jordan will be happy to give him opinion on her jungle antics.
The source added to The Sun newspaper: “Having a very vocal husband is an added bonus in the deal. James is not afraid to air his opinions and will make a great guest on the spin-off show while Ola is in camp.”
Ola recently revealed she would love a role on ‘Hollyoaks’ because she believes British soaps should start including Polish characters to represent the population of Poles who live in the UK.
Ola – who was born in Legionowo, Poland – said: “Acting would be quite fun. I’d do anything. I could be in ‘Hollyoaks’. I could be the Polish cleaner. There are so many Polish people in the UK but they don’t have any in the soaps. They need one. And I’d be the right person to do it.”
While waiting to achieve her acting ambitions, Ola has posed for a new racy calendar for 2017, and her husband James, also a former ‘Strictly’ dancer, has described the photos as “seriously hot”.
He said: “She has a calendar coming out that is really hot. It’s so hot it should be x rated. I’m not kidding it’s seriously hot.”

Ed Balls' romantic life suffering due to Strictly

OHMYGOSSIP — Ed Balls’ sex life has suffered because of ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The 49-year-old politician – who married Labour MP Yvette Cooper in 1998 – has admitted he is too “exhausted” from his gruelling training for the show to want to do anything strenuous when he gets home in the evenings.
Asked if the exercise has helped him romantically, Ed said: “To be honest, I’ve been exhausted for about two months. It would be fair to say it’s very tiring, this ‘Strictly’. You do get home in the evenings and you’re just exhausted.
Ed has lost over a stone since he began training for the show and feels much better, though he still thinks he has a long way to go.
He told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “It’s like running a marathon every day. You feel fitter and more healthy.
“Yvette thinks, to use a 2001 Labour slogan, there’s a lot done, but there’s a lot more to do. She thinks we’re not even half way there.”
But the former shadow Chancellor won’t be showing off his slimmer figure in the sort of skimpy costumes favoured by fellow contestants Greg Rutherford and Danny Mac.
Ed said: “I think Danny and Greg look really good in a plunging V. But I think both I and the show’s producers would do wise to steer clear of it.
“It’s a family show. It’s pre-watershed. It would not be good.”
And Ed insists he isn’t an unlikely sex symbol thanks to the show – something both his wife and his dance partner, Katya Jones, agree on.
He laughed: “No, no and no… nor does Yvette or Katya.”

Alan Carr would be 'wrong' for Great British Bake Off

OHMYGOSSIP — Alan Carr insists he’d be “wrong” for the ‘Great British Bake Off’.
The former ‘Chatty Man’ presenter has hosted a string of shows for Channel 4 but insists he isn’t a big fan of the baking competition – which the network recently acquired from Love Productions – and wouldn’t want to put people off watching the show because he’s such a divisive character.
He said: “Just because I look like I eat cake doesn’t mean I’m hosting it.
“No one has approached me and I don’t love the show as much of others. I’d be wrong for it – I’m too Marmite – and I’d hate to spoil it.”
But the deal Channel 4 struck to land the show has made Alan think he’s underpaid by the broadcaster.
He said: “I was a bit shocked when C4 bought it. My first thought was, ‘So you’ve got £75 million to spare? I’ll have some of that, thank you.’ ”
The 40-year-old star – who recently got engaged to partner Paul Drayton – wishes he had a “darker side” but insists he’s exactly the same on and off camera.
He told Woman magazine: “I’ve always said there’s never going to be a documentary about the real Alan Carr – sadly, what you see is what you get.
“I’d like to have a darker side and be a bit sinister and menacing, but I’m not like that.
“I’ve got a sunny disposition. Part of it is because of the number of rubbish jobs I’ve had; I think, ‘This is a blessing’ and grab it.”
While Alan doesn’t want the ‘…Bake Off’ job, a number of stars have been speculated to be replacing Mel & Sue as presenters, including Clare Balding, Victoria Coren Mitchell and Sandi Toksvig.

Rami Malek to play Freddie Mercury

OHMYGOSSIP — Rami Malek will play Freddie Mercury in a long-awaited biopic.
The ‘Mr. Robot’ actor is attached to portray the late Queen frontman in ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’, while Bryan Singer has confirmed he is to direct the film.
The ‘X-Men’ director confirmed the news on Instagram, sharing a photo of the ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ single art work and wrote: ” “Looking forward to @ramimalek playing #freddie.(sic)”
GK films, New Regency and Fox are teaming up for the biopic, while ‘The Theory of Everything’ screenwriter, Anthony McCarten, has written the script.
Sacha Baron Cohen was previously cast at Freddie – who died of AIDS in 1991 – but left after six years of the project being in development due to “creative differences”.
And earlier this year, the ‘Borat’ star claimed he quit because the surviving members of Queen wanted the movie to show how the band went from “strength to strength” following the singer’s death.
He said: “[Following] my first meeting, I should never have carried on because a member of the band –I won’t say who– said ‘This is such a great movie, because such an amazing thing happens in the middle of the movie.’
“I go ‘What happens in the middle of the movie?’ He goes ‘Freddie dies’. I go, ‘So you mean it’s a bit like ‘Pulp Fiction’, where the end is the middle and the middle is the end? That’s interesting’. He goes, ‘No, no, no.’
“So I said ‘Wait a minute. What happens in the second half of the movie?’ And he said, ‘Well, we see how the band carries on from strength to strength’.”
“And I said, ‘Listen, not one person is going to see a movie where the lead character dies from AIDS and then you carry on to see [what happens with Queen]”.

Jemma Lucy accuses Stephen Bear of cheating

OHMYGOSSIP — Jemma Lucy has accused Stephen Bear of cheating on her.
After ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ winner Stephen posted a raunchy Snapchat video of himself in bed with another woman, ‘Ex on the Beach’ star Jemma told her Twitter followers that she dumped him after he was unfaithful.
When one Twitter user wrote: “I swear @stephen_bear was just loved up with @jem_lucy like last week and now he’s with another lass (sic), Jemma replied: “I f***ed him off he cheated (sic).”
She added: “He will cheat on her too babe like he did me! I’m lucky to be rid of him ages ago (sic).”
Just last month the couple appeared to be serious about each other as they got matching tattoos.
Stephen got an inking of Heath Ledger as The Joker, to match Jemma’s tattoo and the pair also each had half a heart inked on their fingers, which aligned to make a full heart.
Jemma and Stephen appeared together on the All Stars series of MTV’s ‘Ex On The Beach’ but only hooked up once Stephen left the ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ house.
Stephen previously cheated on former girlfriend Lillie Lexie Gregg and claimed he did so in order to save her from heartache.
The star dumped Lillie on national television after locking lips with fellow ‘CBB’ housemate Chloe Khan and bizarrely claimed he did it for her own good.
When host Emma Willis asked him why he couldn’t wait until he left the house to break up with Lillie, Stephen claimed he was trying to prevent her from getting hurt like his last girlfriend.
Emma continued to grill Bear, saying: “Couldn’t you have waited after the show to break up with Lillie?” but he refused to take it the question seriously and only replied with, “Couldn’t you have worn a red dress?”
During his exit interview, former ‘EastEnders’ actor Ricky Norwood – who placed second – admitted he had changed his opinion on Bear after Lillie came into the house to confront him.
He explained: “The biggest thing was when his ex Lillie came in. As soon as she came in, all his defences broke. I saw a man in pain and in anguish and I felt like I had seen the real Bear for the first time.
“He’s the most unpredictable guy I’ve ever met in my life.”
