I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! camp invaded by deadly spiders

OHMYGOSSIP — The ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’ jungle has been put on “lockdown” after eight deadly spiders and a poisonous snake were found lurking in the camp.

The 10 famous faces – including Carol Vorderman, Larry Lamb, Lisa Snowdon and Adam Thomas – only entered into the jungle in Murwillumbah, New South Wales, Australia, a few days ago, but fears for their safety have already been heightened as a number of funnel-webs, the world’s deadliest spider, and a brown snake, the world’s second most venomous land snake, were discovered in a camera hide.

The show’s doctor Bob told the Daily Telegraph newspaper: “In Australia we have the world’s most dangerous spider which is the funnel web. In fact this year in one of the camera hides we found eight. That’s the most we’ve ever found in one day.”

However, although security around the base has been kicked up a notch since the eight-legged creatures were found, medic Bob isn’t overly worried about the spiders as he has anti-venom on hand in case any of the stars do get bitten by them.

He explained: “There is an anti-venom and of course none of the celebs have ever been bitten by them – a couple of crew have been bitten in the past.”

Although he wasn’t surprised to find the funnel-webs, which have fangs large and powerful enough to pierce fingernails and soft shoes, Bob was shocked to find the brown snake, which are highly active during the day, in the nearby helipad.

He explained: “Normally we don’t get these – we haven’t had one for 15 years. They prefer open paddocks. And ours is a rainforest. Well last week we found one in the top helipad. They are very vicious snakes.”

Scarlett Moffatt was 'really ugly' child

OHMYGOSSIP — Scarlett Moffatt was “really ugly” as a child.
The ‘Gogglebox’ star has won over the hearts of the nation since she joined the ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’ jungle just two days ago, but she hasn’t always had positive attention as she used to be bullied at school because of the way she looked.
Speaking to the Daily Mirror newspaper, she explained: “I think it was the mono brow and teeth that could chew an apple through a letterbox. I was really ugly, I was really weird and I believed in aliens. Even as a kid when I was 11 or 12, I wasn’t like the other kids in the school – I still wore my hair in pigtails. No wonder I got picked on.”
The brunette beauty also refused to smile at secondary school after she got hit by a car when she was 11 years old and ended up with unpleasant black front teeth.
She told the publication: “I was on my bike when I was 11 and a car hit me. The nerves had gone, so I had black teeth at the front.”
However, the 26-year-old star believes changing schools after the ordeal was the turning point for her because it encouraged her to build friendships with other pupils.
She said: “I knew I had to make friends. Once I moved schools and puberty hit over the six-weeks holidays, all of a sudden I got my boobs, my mam let me wax my eyebrows and I went and got my hair done. I just had this newfound confidence.
“Being bullied made me realise that people will like you or not like you anyway, so you might as well be yourself and say exactly what you think.”

Chloe Ferry 'axed from Geordie Shore after fight'

OHMYGOSSIP — Chloe Ferry has been axed from ‘Geordie Shore’ after a bust-up with Zahida Allen.
The 21-year-old beauty – who turns 22 tomorrow (16.11.16) – was reportedly told to pack her bags and leave the MTV show’s house after a furious altercation after seeing the former pageant star, 22, holding hands with her ex Marty McKenna.
One source told The Sun Online: “Chloe was completely mortal. She kicked off in the club after seeing Marty holding hands with Zahida. She was totally radge.
“All of a sudden Zahida was cowering on the floor and it looked like Chloe kicked her in the head.
“Chloe had been drinking all night and just lost it. She was kicked out and sent home in a cab.”
But another source insists Chloe didn’t kick Zahida, but admitted the pair were involved in an angry altercation.
After Chloe returned to the house on Sunday night (13.11.16), show bosses are said to have sent her packing and it’s not known whether she will return to the programme or not.
A source said: “It’s not looking good for Chloe. It’s not clear if she’ll be allowed to return for the rest of the series.”
The incident occurred just a day after the raven-haired star revealed she was returning to the house for filming.
She wrote on Twitter: “That’s it back to the mad house! Series 14! See yous in 2 weeks (sic)”
Chloe was previously involved in an altercation with former housemate Charlotte Crosby, but the star admitted it was just a play fight.
Charlotte said: “I just want to talk about these scratches and bruises on me legs off Chloe Ferry.
“Me and Chloe decided to have a full-on play fight when we got in at half four in the morning and I won because I’m solid.
“Only kidding it was a draw.”

Ed Sheeran writes winner's single for The X Factor

OHMYGOSSIP — Ed Sheeran has written this year’s winner’s single for ‘The X Factor’.
Bosses of the ITV singing show were left red-faces last year when Louisa Johnson’s debut track ‘Forever Young’ – a cover of the Bob Dylan classic – ranked just 12th place in the UK music charts, but it seems they have learnt their lesson and have reached out to the 25-year-old songwriter to guarantee they end up with a Christmas number one.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “Everything Ed does turns to gold. To have him write the winner’s song is huge and amazing news for this year’s winner.
“All the remaining contestants have heard the track and it works for the majority. They can’t believe potentially their first ever single will be written by Ed.”
Although the acts are excited about the single, producers have already decided that Ed’s track won’t be used if boy band 5 After Midnight or Honey G win the show.
The insider explained: “The only chance his song won’t get used is if 5AM or Honey G pull off a shock win. Then bosses might need to consider another one of their options.”
Ed announced almost a year ago that he was taking time off from his music to focus on his friends and family after a few busy years in the limelight.
But that hasn’t stopped him taking pen to paper as, not only has he written the winner’s single for the singing competition, he’s penned a number of hits for Justin Bieber and Robbie Williams in his downtime.
Meanwhile, a few months ago, Louisa – who won the programme last year – blamed Simon Cowell for her flop in the charts as she knew at the time the song wasn’t right.
She said: “I didn’t really gel with it [the single] that much, everyone knows it wasn’t the best song. I didn’t really like it, but it was one of those things.”

Lauren Lapkus joins Holmes and Watson

OHMYGOSSIP — Lauren Lapkus has joined the cast of ‘Holmes and Watson’.
The 31-year-old actress is known for her comedic role in American sitcom ‘Are You There, Chelsea?’, and she has now signed up for the latest comedy adaptation of the classic ‘Sherlock Holmes’ novels.
‘Holmes and Watson’ already has big comedy names Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly – who famously starred together in ‘Step Brothers’ and ‘Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby’ – attached.
The project will see fictional detective Sherlock Holmes (Ferrell) and his right-hand man John Watson (Reilly) take on classic mysteries with a comic spin.
The script is being penned by the project’s director Etan Cohen, using the characters originally created by writer Sir Arthur Conan Doyle in the late 1800s.
Lauren will star alongside the pair as a new character named Millie, a young woman with a mind almost as sharp as the great detective, who gives Sherlock a run for his money.
According to Deadline, Sherlock becomes very taken with Millie and will end up being somewhat obsessed with her.
Although Millie is being branded as a new character, her traits are similar to the classic character Irene Adler, who uses her intelligence to ensnare the detective.
The news of Lauren’s addition to the cast comes after Ferrell was initially to star in the movie with Sacha Baron Cohen – who also appeared in ‘Talladega Nights’ – but development was stalled and Cohen dropped out.
With the main cast locked down, bosses are looking to start shooting the film later this month, with some sources suggesting the start date will be after Thanksgiving (24.11.16).

Adam Thomas has hypnotherapy for spider fear

OHMYGOSSIP — Adam Thomas had hypnotherapy for his fear of spiders.
The ‘Emmerdale’ hunk is currently taking part in this year’s ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’, in which he’ll be forced to share his bed with a number of creepy crawlies, and he has admitted he’s so frightened of the eight-legged critters that he once went to see a therapist, although the sessions didn’t cure him.
He explained: “I want to face my fears. I am so scared of spiders. It got so bad a few years ago that I went to see a hypnotist and that didn’t work. I’m scared of any insects – cockroaches – anything.”
The 28-year-old actor’s fear was so bad that he woke his fiancée Caroline Daly – who was pregnant with their two-year-old son Teddy at the time – to catch a tiny house spider crawling around their bedroom in the middle of the night.
He said: “I just hate them. When Caroline was nine months pregnant I spotted one in our bedroom. I woke her up and asked her to get of it. I was nearly crying and it was only small. I am such a wuss, especially with spiders.”
Caroline added: “I was fast asleep! I had to get out of bed and was on my hands and knees trying to get hold of this spider.”
Although he’s got a horrific fear of bugs, Adam is convinced he’ll be fine taking part in the Bushtucker Trials – famous for throwing critters on celebrities – in the Australian jungle.
He told OK! magazine: “I think I’ll be alright with those. But you never know how you’re going to react when you’re in there with the cameras on you. I think you just have to go for it. I’m hoping I can man up.”

Larry Lamb is President of I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! camp

OHMYGOSSIP — Larry Lamb has been crowned President of the ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’ camp.

After learning of her new role, Scarlett said in Monday’s (14.11.16) show: “I’ve never really had any leadership in any way. I don’t think I can handle all this power.”
The pair decided to make Lisa Snowdon the Camp Chef as she has a flare for whipping up treats, while Jordan Banjo – who admitted previously he couldn’t cook but wanted to learn – was chosen to join the television presenter in the cooking area to help learn the trick of trade.
Scarlett suggested Ola Jordan did the washing up because she enjoyed it and selected Olympic hockey player Sam Quek join her because they’ve bonded over the past two days.
‘Emmerdale’ hunk Adam Thomas and comedian Joel Dommett were appointed Camp Cleaners are were burdened with the task of cleaning out the toilet, sorting out the rubbish, sweeping the communal areas and washing their camp mates’ smelly clothes.
Finally, Carol Vorderman and Wayne Bridge were put on camp maintenance and had to ensure that the water was boiled, that there was firewood and tend the allotment.

Ant and Dec sign new 3-year deal with ITV

OHMYGOSSIP — Ant and Dec have signed a new three-year deal with ITV.
The contract means the popular presenting duo will be broadcast on the channel until at least the end of 2019, including a further series of ‘I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!’, ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ and ‘Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway’.
Ant, 40, and Dec, 41, said: “We are absolutely delighted to be extending our relationship with ITV, to continue on the three shows we love as well as exploring further opportunities both in front of and behind the camera. This deal will take us past the 20-year mark with ITV and we couldn’t be happier.”
And Kevin Lygo, ITV Director of Television, added: “Ant and Dec are quite simply brilliant entertainers and I’m thrilled that we will be working together for another three years. They are incredibly passionate about television and have that rare ability to connect with audiences of all ages, which has helped make the shows they present some of the biggest on British TV.”
It comes following the news that the pair have decided not to co-host the 2017 BRIT Awards in favour of other commitments.
Speaking after they hosted this year’s ceremony, Dec said: “We weren’t supposed to be [hosting again]. We did it last year and we always said we would do it for one year… but we had quite a nice time so we have decided to do it again… this is definitely the last time we are going to do it.”
Ant and Dec – who previously hosted the ceremony in 2001 – admitted in September they hadn’t intended to return for the 2016 ceremony.
They said: “In all honesty we only intended to do it for one year but had such a good time we are thrilled to be doing it again. Both of us are looking forward to what will be an incredible night, and we can’t wait to celebrate the achievements of British music once again.”

The Croods 2 has been cancelled

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘The Croods 2′ movie has been cancelled.
DreamWorks Animation, under the stewardship of new owners Universal Pictures, has confirmed that production on the movie has been stopped completely, following it being initially postponed from 2017 to 2018.
However, there is a chance the characters from the children’s movie could be resurrected at a later date.
A source told Variety: “The Croods’ is still very much in the DreamWorks catalog. It’s not unheard of that it might be something someone takes a look at in the future.”
The film – which originally debuted in 2013 – became a box office smash with earnings of $587 million worldwide and a TV spin-off followed on Netflix.
The animated movie followed a cave family led by patriarch Grug Crood (Nicolas Cage) who have to escape an earthquake.
Plans for the now-canned sequel would have reunited the former voice cast members such as Emma Stone, Ryan Reynolds, Cage and Catherine Keener as well as writers and directors Kirk De Micco and Chris Sanders.
Despite the decision being finalised by Universal, it has been reported that individuals at both DreamWorks and Universal insisted that it wasn’t the change-up at Universal in April 2015 that finalised the decision and suggested that doubts had already been raised about proceeding with ‘Croods 2’ even before Universal was put in charge.

Jacqueline Jossa sets wedding date

OHMYGOSSIP — Jacqueline Jossa and Dan Osborne have set a date for their wedding.
The ‘EastEnders’ star and the former ‘The Only Way is Essex’ hunk – who have 21-month-old daughter Ella together – have finally marked a day in the diary for their big day and can’t wait to set the ball rolling for the lavish preparations.
She told the Daily Star newspaper: “We’ve got a date, which means I’ve finally got a vision of what I want the day to be like. I’m really happy and I can’t wait.”
The pair – who got engaged in June 2015 after they met at an awards ceremony in 2013 – had initially set a date for their wedding this year but they were forced to postpone their nuptials because they ran out of time due to their busy schedules.
The 24-year-old beauty said previously: “We just ran out of time to plan everything. I thought we had ages to get stuff sorted, then all of a sudden it was March and we didn’t have anything booked. We’ve not found a venue that’s perfect for us yet. We want to wait and find somewhere that we love. It was a bit of a shame as we were looking forward to it. Just because we’ve postponed the wedding, it doesn’t mean our relationship is falling apart – we’re still getting married!”
Jacqueline’s admission came just a few weeks after rumours began circulating suggesting they had hit the rocks after recordings were leaked of Dan allegedly being verbally abusive towards his ex-partner Megan Tomlin, who is the mother of his two-year-old son Teddy, just after they had split up and he had moved on with Jacqueline.
Meanwhile, Jacqueline may be ready to get hitched with Dan but she’s determined to shed a few pounds ahead of their big day as she’s been feeling “down” about her body.
She said: “I’ve felt a bit down recently. I felt like I had a baby and I should be sorting myself out, but I’m not.”

Daisy Lowe 'heartbroken' by Strictly Come Dancing boot

OHMYGOSSIP — Daisy Lowe is “pretty heartbroken” she won’t get to perform at the iconic Blackpool Tower in North West England on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ next week.
The 27-year-old model was given the boot from the ballroom and latin competition in Sunday (13.11.16) night’s show and is devastated she managed to survive eight rounds of the series, but fell at the last hurdle and now can’t join her fellow contestants for the special at the famous tourist attraction in Lancashire next weekend.
Speaking to Nick Grimshaw on his BBC Radio 1 ‘Breakfast Show’ on Monday (14.11.16), she said: “I’m pretty heartbroken but I’m really proud of myself because I actually managed to survive eight weeks of it. I loved every minute of it and I’m never going to stop dancing. It created the most mental adventure of my whole entire life.”
However, although she’s gutted she was eliminated from the show after losing the dance-off against Greg Rutherford, the brunette beauty is so proud of how far she’s come in the show as she’s battled with debilitating stage fright for years.
She explained: “I had the worst stage fright. I always end up so shaky. Even to give someone an award, I end up shaking so much. So, actually to try and figure that out and get out there and do a dance is amazing to me. I’ve never done anything like that before. I’ve never done live telly before so it’s a really cool experience.”
But Daisy’s time on the show hasn’t been completely stress-free as she split from her boyfriend Frankie Wade recently as she was too exhausted with the show for love.
She said over the weekend: “At the beginning, which is supposed to be the most joyful honeymoon period, I had nothing to give him.
“We could have coped with the pressure if we had been together for ages and had known all of the ins and outs of each other.
“But we had just met and suddenly it was like, ‘Who is this really tired person?’ I didn’t really know who this really tired person was either. I’m never usually this exhausted every single day.
“Frankie deserves more than that and so do I. I deserve to take care of myself. Now when I get home, I have a bath and take myself to bed.”

Larry Lamb hasn't seen daughter for 46 years

OHMYGOSSIP — Larry Lamb hasn’t seen his daughter for over 46 years.
The former ‘Gavin & Stacey’ star welcomed a little girl named Vanessa into the world in 1969 with his then-wife Anita H. Wisbey, whom he met at the age of 20 when he was working abroad, but he’s only ever seen the brunette beauty once.
He explained: “Anita remarried when Vanessa was three. So I wasn’t included because she had a stepdad. I don’t even know if she knows I’m her father.”
The 69-year-old star would love to have a reunion with his daughter in the near future but he doesn’t want to reach out to her first in case she wants nothing to do with him.
Speaking to the Daily Mirror newspaper, he said: “I don’t know if Vanessa and I will meet up some day. It’s not for me to go delving into her life. But the thought that she might have already made me a grandfather has often crossed my mind.
“Her birthday is so close to mine that every year I think, ‘She’s another year older.’ ”
The ex-‘EastEnders’ actor met Anita at a christening in 1968 – when he was 20 and she was 25 – but she accidentally fell pregnant and he urged her to have an abortion.
She refused to get rid of her baby and Larry agreed to marry her in a split-second decision as she was about to get on her train from Frankfurt, Germany, to England.
He explained: “Of all the things in the world I didn’t want, I certainly didn’t want to be married. But it seemed the right thing to do.”
The then-couple tied the knot at a register office in Wood Green, North London, and Anita agreed to move to Germany to be with Larry.
However, their marriage didn’t work out and Vanessa moved back to England to have her baby.
Larry – who found out about the birth of his little girl by his father – met his daughter once when she was seven months old when he returned home for a flying visit.
He said: “I sat for an hour with this little piece of me in my arms. My guilt, my sadness, my fears all turned over. I knew that this tiny being was there because her mum wanted her there. I’d made my decision and I’d walked away. I’ve never set eyes on my daughter since that day but I’ve never forgotten that hour I spent with her.”
Larry went on to wed Linda E. Martin, with whom he has 36-year-old son George, but their marriage didn’t work out either and they divorced in 1996.
He is now in a relationship with Clare Burt, whom he’s been dating since 1996, and has two daughters Eloise, 17, and 13-year-old Eva.
He said: “I’m the partner of someone only a year or so older than my long-lost first daughter. That’s the price for taking more than 40 years to get it right.”

James Jordan threatens Ola Jordan's camp mates

OHMYGOSSIP — James Jordan has threatened to “smash the face in” of anybody who tries to hit on his wife Ola Jordan while she’s in the ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’ jungle.
The former ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ professor is half expecting one of the handsome camp mates of this year’s series to flirt with his talented spouse because she’s “gorgeous” but he’s adamant they’ll have him to deal with if they try to pursue her.
He said on Periscope on Sunday (13.11.16): “It’s to be expected. She’s a gorgeous girl and if they hit on her, they hit on her. Maybe I’ll smash their face in when they get out.”
However, the 38-year-old star – who married the Polish beauty in 2003 – is convinced Ola will be able to hold her own if someone oversteps the mark in the jungle.
He said: “If you push and push and push her, when she goes she’s a real firecracker.”
But James – who is known for his acid tongue – would love to see his 34-year-old wife strip down to her bikini and have a mud fight with Olympic hockey player Sam Quek.
He explained: “Let’s hope @The_OlaJordan and Sam have to have a mud fight together in their bikini’s #ImACeleb (sic).”
Ola only entered the Australian jungle in last night’s show but has already managed to conquer one of her fears – heights – as she walked along a platform overlooking the city of New South Wales, counted to 60 seconds and walked back again.
But it’s not just steep drops that makes Ola’s stomach flip as she’s also terrified of bugs and has an extreme fear of water as she’s never been taught how to swim.
James said: “She’s scared of everything to be honest – she can’t swim at all.”
Ola is joined in the camp by Carol Vorderman, Jordan Banjo, Adam Thomas, Lisa Snowdon, Larry Lamb, Scarlett Moffatt, Wayne Bridge, Joel Dommett and Sam.

Alesha Dixon to host Dance Dance Dance

OHMYGOSSIP — Alesha Dixon is set to host the forthcoming ITV show ‘Dance Dance Dance’.
The former Mis-Teeq singer has reportedly signed up to front the new dancing show, which is filmed in Amsterdam, Netherlands, alongside T4’s Will Best next year.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “This is a huge gig for Alesha and a testament to her gifts. It’s her first major presenting role too.”
And, although she won’t be sitting on the panel for this forthcoming project, the 38-year-old beauty certainly has plenty of experience when it comes to groovy moving as she was a judge on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ for three years following her win on the show in 2007 and has been a ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ panellist since 2012.
The insider explained: “She’s been a judge on two massive shows, but this is an even bigger deal for her as she’s basically running this alongside Will.”
The six-part series, which will be a major competitor for the BBC’s ‘Strictly Come Dancing’, will see celebrities team up with their partner, a friend or a relative as they perform an iconic dance in the hope of impressing the tough-talking judging panel.
The source explained: “The show has an amazing special effects budget and will see the celebs doing routines like Ed Sheeran from his ‘Thinking Out Loud’ video or ‘Jai Ho’ from ‘Slumdog Millionaire’.
“There will be five celebs who will probably have a strong dance background pairing up with their partner or mate. All the audience will be familiar with the dances and it’s hoped the show will be a huge hit.”
Former Westlife singer Kian Egan and his wife Jodi Albert, who currently plays Debbie Dean in ‘Hollyoaks’, are reportedly the first celebrity couple to sign up to the show.
Bosses are still trying to finalise the contestant line up but it’s thought Charlotte Crosby and Holly Hagan are holding talks with producers about taking part in the competition.
Ashley Banjo and Kimberly Wyatt – who both worked on Sky 1’s ‘Got to Dance’ from 2009 to 2014 – have already joined the judging panel and bosses of the show, which has had millions spent on it, are on the hunt for another two judges.

David Haye planning Boxers Do Dancing show

OHMYGOSSIP — David Haye is planning to create a ‘Strictly Come Dancing’-style show for boxers.
The former heavyweight champion is keen to see fighters swap their boxing gloves for ballroom dancing shoes in a programme called ‘Boxers Do Dancing’.
He said: “The idea is to have boxers do some ballroom dancing for a show.
“I want to put some boards down on the boxing ring.”
David is confident he can attract some huge Hollywood names for the show, such as ‘Legend’ actor Tom Hardy – who portrayed mixed martial arts fighter Tommy Riordan in 2011 drama movie ‘Warrior’ – and ‘Luther’ star Idris Elba.
He said: “I love a movie star who has some connections to fighting. Idris Elba has done some Thai kickboxing and Tom Hardy, he did it too in the movie ‘Warrior’.
“I’m trying to get some of those big names connected.”
But David insists there is no chance he will be strutting his stuff on the dance floor as he’d much prefer to act as a judge on the programme.
He added to The Sun newspaper: “I’ll be a judge, you don’t want to see me dance. I ain’t winning anything.
“I do the boxing and leave the dancing to the other guys.”
David finished third on the 12th series of ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’, but at the time his mum Jane admitted she would’ve preferred he signed up to ‘Strictly…’.
She said: “When he said he was doing this I said to him, ‘Why don’t you do the dancing show instead?’ ”
Several boxers have taken part in ‘Strictly…’ over the years, including Joe Calzaghe, Audley Harrison and Anthony Ogogo, but neither got near the Glitterball Trophy.
However, Joe did taste success of some sort as a result of the series as afterwards he went on to date his professional dancing partner Kristina Rihanoff, but they later broke up.
