Danny Baker: I didn't bully Martin Roberts

OHMYGOSSIP — Danny Baker has denied bullying Martin Roberts during his time on ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’
The 59-year-old broadcaster became the first of this year’s camp mates to be booted out of the jungle on Friday (25.11.16), and has insisted his heated debate with the ‘Homes Under The Hammer’ host was not “bullying”, as he was just sticking up for fellow contestant Scarlett Moffatt at the time.
He told The Sun on Sunday newspaper: “If someone is jabbing away at you and you have a go back. ‘Oh, you’re bullying me’ – that seems passive aggressive nonsense.
“I’m not responsible if a bloke breaks down and cries after I’ve picked him up because he’s having a go at one of the girls in there.
‘I’m the victim!’ – well don’t have a go at Scarlett mate.”
Danny and Martin, 53, were at loggerheads on more than one occasion during their time in the jungle, something which Danny claims is down to Martin’s lack of knowledge about the show.
He added: “He’s never really seen the show. And I think he embarrassed himself. I think he was very uncertain of what it was for the first 48 hours.
“So he thought ‘I’ll make this Martin presents ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’, with a full supporting cast. And he did.”
Meanwhile, Danny thinks ‘Gogglebox’ star Scarlett Moffatt could really make a name for herself after her appearance on the show, but only if TV bosses manage to look past her “working class” accent.
He said: “She could be a host of ‘Have I Got News For You’ – and she wouldn’t need the scriptwriters.
“I mean that. But she’s never going to get the chance because people always look at working class people and say, ‘Well, listen to that accent.'”

Eddie Murphy had a role in Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home

OHMYGOSSIP — Eddie Murphy originally had a role in ‘Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home’.
The 55-year-old star was meant to join the sci-fi world of ‘Star Trek’ in 1986 as an astrophysicist studying at Berkley when the crew of the Enterprise travel back in time to collect two humpback whales who will save the world in the 23rd century, but the deal eventually fell through and his role was written out.
Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter’s Heat Vision blog, scriptwriter Steve Meerson said: “It was always the same story that approved, but the original draft included a part for Eddie Murphy. Eddie was on the lot at Paramount at the time and arguably was the biggest star in the word. They had told us he was a huge ‘Star Trek’ fan.”
When the deal with Eddie eventually fell through, Steve and his writing partner Peter Krikes got to work rewriting the script, and instead opted to cast Catherine Hicks in the role of Doctor Gillian Taylor, a marine biologist and the love interest of Captain Kirk (William Shatner).
Meanwhile, Steve also recalls how the original script was changed in order to “Trek it up”.
He said: “Harve Bennett [the producer] said, ‘We need to Trek this up. You guys have done an amazing job, but we now need to Trek this up.’
“From what I’ve read online and what I know we did, the process of ‘Treking it up’ — I don’t think there were very substantial changes from what we had handed them.
“For us, we just derived a great sense of satisfaction. We always had a lot of pride in our work and this other stuff is kind of irrelevant. It’s just interesting the way things go. It just got very political, and that’s okay.”

Dev Patel: I spent hours looking at myself in the mirror for Lion role

OHMYGOSSIP — Dev Patel spent hours looking at himself in the mirror for his role in ‘Lion’.
The 26-year-old actor plays adopted Saroo Brierley, who goes on a quest to find his birth parents in India, in the upcoming true-life tale and needed to go on a “process of introspection” to transform into his character, because he is usually much more “super-hyperactive”.
He told Empire magazine: “It required an energy shift. I’m a super-hyperactive kind of dude and the role required a level of stillness.
“Saroo had this emotional pain, this weight.
“I spent eight months prepping and it was all a process of introspection.
“I travelled around India on trains to get a feel of what it would be like, I wrote diaries, I visited orphanages.
“Garth would get me to stare in the mirror for an hour.
“It’s amazing what you can see when you stop for a moment and really try to look inside yourself.”
Dev landed the role after a gruelling six-hour audition in which he worked through the entire script with director Garth Davis and “lost his mind” at the end.
He recalled: “At the end of it, Garth said, ‘Before you go, I’m wondering if you could just scream?’ I was like, ‘What do you mean?’ He said, ‘I want you to roar like a lion. Let go of emotion and completely purge the pain you’d feel in Saroo’s situation. You don’t have to do it.’
“And I was like, ‘Of course I have to’. So I did and I completely lost my mind. I was jumping in at the deep end.”

Lacey Turner wants to train as midwife

OHMYGOSSIP — Lacey Turner would train as a midwife if she ever left ‘EastEnders’ again.
The 28-year-old beauty – who is known for portraying Lacey Turner in the soap – is adamant she doesn’t want to quit the show any time soon following her break between 2010 and 2014 but, if she ever did, she’d train as a medical professional.
She said: “I really love my job. It’s not often you go to work and love your job. Even if I won the lottery I’d still go to work on the show every day. When I left for four years between 2010 and 2014 I missed the people and the character of Stacey. I also missed the crew and the quick pace of the show. It’s like a big family. I’m a home bird. If I ever left ‘EastEnders’ I’d train as a midwife.”
The brunette beauty joined the soap when she was 16 years old and, although she’s got a “terrible” memory, she has admitted it takes her minutes to learn her script before bed.
She explained: “They just seem to go in my head and I don’t know how. I’ve got a terrible memory, I couldn’t tell you what I did yesterday but I could recite an old scene. It’s strange, I just look at them and they go in! It’s the last thing I do before I go to bed.”
Lacey’s fiancé Matt Kay added to OK! magazine: “We’ll get into bed, she’ll flick through and that’s it. I don’t know how she does it.”

Wayne Bridge's sex life confession

OHMYGOSSIP — Wayne Bridge says his sex life with wife Frankie has suffered since they had children.
The 36-year-old former footballer and the 27-year-old Saturdays singer – who tied the knot in 2014 – have sons Carter and Parker together and Wayne admitted their bedroom antics are no longer as adventurous as they were before they became parents because they don’t have the time.
When campmates were asked on Saturday’s (26.11.16) episode of ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’, “What percentage of UK couples say they have better sex after becoming parents? 53 or 47”, Wayne was shocked to discover that the greater number was the correct answer.
After the group gave the wrong answer, leading them to miss out on biscuits from Keith’s Kiosk, Wayne could not hide his disbelief.
Speaking to the confession camera later, he said: “I think it’s always been up there with me and Frankie really. You’re together for years so you obviously try everything out before you’ve had babies surely.”
Then he appeared to realise what he had said and added: “I can’t even believe I’m having this conversation because her mum and dad are gonna be watching.”
And after seeing the footage, Frankie took to Twitter to write: “Ohhhhhhh @WayneBridge just stop talking…. I’m begging you!!!! #ImACeleb #teamwayne #sorrymum&dad (sic).”
However, earlier in the episode, Wayne was a hero when he won 11 stars for his fellow campmates, ensuring they had plenty of food for dinner.
Meanwhile, contestants are safe for another day as hosts Ant and Dec informed them that there was no eviction planned for Saturday’s show.

Danny Mac's perfect Strictly score

OHMYGOSSIP — Danny Mac and Oti Mabuse received another perfect score on Saturday’s (26.11.16) ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The former ‘Hollyoaks’ star and his professional partner received a standing ovation from the judges and audience for their Samba to ‘Magalenha’ by Sergio Mendes and they were also awarded a score of 40.
Head judge Len Goodman said: “He’s a tease. Started slow but, ‘hello’ I thought, hint of a shadow roll and then suddenly wallop.
“I tell you, your hips were like a snake. It was fierce like a puma and hotter and steamier than the Amazon jungle. It was fabulous.”
Darcey Bussell added: “Danny you have certainly put the hours in to achieve that in one week.
“It was like the most perfect samba master class. Clean isolation, travelling using the dance floor. It was really outstanding.”
And Bruno Toniolo gushed: “What are you doing to me? At this time of night, look at the state of me? I need a doctor, a pill, a drink, a cold shoulder.
“It was like watching a Pagan mating ritual between a magnificent, exotic species.”
Danny’s success on the show comes as a surprise as he recently admitted he turned down the show quite a few times as he was worried about failure.
He said: “I’ve actually turned it [‘Strictly Come Dancing’] a few times, I’ve been so scared of doing it. But I thought it was time to face my fear. So despite my better judgement, I’m going to attempt to be myself on camera while learning to dance wearing blue sequins.”

Honey G confronted by X Factor stage invaders

OHMYGOSSIP — Honey G was the victim of a stage invasion on ‘The X Factor’ on Saturday (26.11.16).
While Louis Walsh was giving his opinion on the rapper’s performance of MC Hammer’s ‘U Can’t Touch This’, a man surprised Honey G and presenter Dermot O’Leary by rushing on to the stage.
However, Honey G kept her cool and Louis continued to praise her for her rendition of the song.
There appeared to be some confusion about how many stage invaders there were, as Dermot said: “We had a stage invasion, three punks thought they could come on and take on Honey G. Nah, I don’t think so.”
And Simon Cowell, who rushed to her aide, added: “Forget that. You’ve got a second song. Don’t let that bother you. Come back believing you are a star.”
Honey G’s mentor Sharon Osbourne called the invaders “passionate fans” and said: “Your fans are passionate for you.”
Meanwhile, following her performance, the rapper pleaded for fans to continue to vote for her.
She said: “Everyone knows how much it means to me to get to the final. I know I can do it. I just need the public to vote and get me there.”
Earlier in the night, viewers were delighted as the show’s ‘Louis Loves’ theme began with the Irish judge performing a jig on stage with some Irish dancers.
Louis picked the first songs for each of the contestants – Matt Terry, 5 After Midnight, Emily Middlemas and Saara Aalto – and won praise from Simon for his choices.

5am's Kieran Alleyene has barely seen his girlfriend since being on the X Factor

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘X Factor’ contestant Kieran Alleyene has barely seen his pregnant girlfriend since getting to the live shows.
The 21-year-old singer – who is a member of boy band 5 After Midnight alongside Nathan Lewis and Jordan Lee – was told by his girlfriend Sophie that she was expecting his baby just days before he entered the judge’s houses round of the competition, but he has now claimed he sees more of his mentor Louis Walsh than he does of his pregnant girlfriend.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper, Kieran said: “I don’t even see my girlfriend while I’m in here. I only see her at the weekends. She knows that I need to focus.
“At the moment I have to put most of my focus on ‘X Factor’ so I can make a career from this so that I can support my kid.”
And Kieran says that he won’t sacrifice his music career for his unborn child, and says he will instead rely on FaceTime to communicate with his family if he is away on performances.
He added: “We both have really supportive families. I’ve got loads of siblings, she’s got loads of siblings. We’re not short of babysitters! And that’s what things like FaceTime were invented for. It’ll be fine.
“The baby will be born in the spring. It’s all a happy thing – there is no negativity whatsoever.”
Despite not knowing the gender of their baby, the couple have already been picking out names and say they won’t be naming it after Kieran’s mentor.
He said: “We have names for each sex. I can’t have Louis. My nephew is called Louis, so I can’t.
“I’ve told him already. I said, ‘I’m sorry, I’m sorry!'”

Jeff Brazier visits Jade Goody's grave every Christmas

OHMYGOSSIP — Jeff Brazier takes his children to visit Jade Goody’s grave every Christmas.
The reality star was just 27 when she tragically passed away from cervical cancer in 2009 and left her children Freddie, 12, and Bobby, 13, without a mother. Now the children’s father – who had split from Jade three years prior to her death – has said it’s the Christmas holidays that are the hardest to deal with, and they visit Jade’s grave on Christmas morning (December 25) every year.
Speaking to the Daily Record newspaper, Jeff said: “Christmas is the one day of the year when it’s most obvious someone’s missing. It had to become less about the presents.
“They have everything they could every ask for, yet they’re still sitting there upset and arguing. Because they’re angry and frustrated.
“I take them to the cemetery first thing in the morning. Then we have dealt with this, we go home and can enjoy the day.
“They have paid respect to their mum and they don’t feel guilty about enjoying the day at home.”
And despite being a reality star himself, 37-year-old Jeff says the first thing he did when Jade passed was implement a ban on photos of his children.
He said: “The first thing I did eight years ago was get a privacy ban. That meant there could be no photos of them in any publication, so they could have as normal a childhood as I could give them.
“They had the space they needed to grieve as well as they could. As a result, they’re very normal kids.”
Now that Freddie and Bobby are older, Jeff is trying to steer them away from a pursuing a career in front of the camera.
He said: “I get nervous when they start talking about going on ‘Big Brother’ like their mum. I try to steer them well out of that.
“I explain that their mum and I were both products of reality TV, we were lucky, it was a time when there was a career path to be had.”

Emily Blunt's Sicario character was 'complete'

OHMYGOSSIP — Emily Blunt won’t reprise her role in the ‘Sicario’ sequel because “her arc was complete”.
The 33-year-old actress wowed audiences in the lead role of FBI agent Kate Macer in the 2015 movie, and fans were left disgruntled when it was revealed in June that the star would not be taking up the role for the upcoming sequel ‘Soldado’.
Now, screenwriter Taylor Sheridan has explained his reasoning for leaving Emily’s character out of the script, saying that there was no story left to tell that would do the character “justice”.
He explained to TheWrap.com: “That was my decision, and at some point I’m going to have to talk to her about it. Her arc was complete … I couldn’t figure out a way to write a character that would do her talent justice.”
And Taylor also opened up about the “difficult role” that Kate Macer played in the story, adding that she “went through” a lot and her story is finished.
He added: “Look what she went through. It was a difficult role. Here I write this lead character and then I use her as a surrogate for the audience.
“I make her completely passive against her own will so the audience feels the same impotence that a lot of law enforcement officers feel, I drag her through hell, and betray her in the end.
“It was an arduous journey for the character, and for Emily. That character had arc.”
Although ‘Soldado’ decides to focus on supporting character Alejandro Gillick, played by Benecio del Toro, Taylor hasn’t ruled out bringing back Emily’s role in the future.
He said: “What do you do next? She moves to some little town and becomes a sheriff and then gets kidnapped and then we have ‘Taken?’
“I had to tell the story that was true to this role, and I didn’t feel like I could create something with that character that would further that world that would do Emily’s character justice. That said, there could be room for Kate somewhere else down the road.”

Sophie Kasaei's boyfriend sold her Christmas gift

OHMYGOSSIP — Sophie Kasaei’s boyfriend put her Christmas gift to him on eBay.
The ‘Geordie Shore’ star splashed out on an expensive Apple watch for Joel Korry – who she has been dating for five years – and though he claimed to like the present when he unwrapped it, she later discovered he had sold it just a few weeks later.
She said: “Last year I got him an Apple watch. He pretended he loved it and then two weeks later I found out he’d put it on eBay – and kept the money.”
Joel laughed: “I did try it out though.”
But Sophie won’t be selling her own gifts as revenge – because Joel never buys her any.
She said: “Joel doesn’t really buy us presents. He just likes to spend money on holidays. I always want a handbag but Joel would rather…”
Joel finished:”… Take her to Turkey and get her a fake one.”
This year, Sophie is feeling torn over what to do about Christmas because she feels uncomfortable choosing between her divorced parents.
She told new! magazine: “It’s two years down the line now so it’s a lot better but Christmas is coming up and that gets us down.
“I don’t know what to do. I know my dad will be fine because he has three restaurants so he’ll always be busy.
“But my mum is stuck in a little council house with hardly any money.”
But spending the day with Joel, who lives in London, isn’t an option.
She said: “He can’t [spend it with me] because we’re so far away from each other.”
Joel added: “We like to go away in January though. Hopefully, it’ll be Mexico.”

Ryan Gosling: I was pushed to my limits on movie set

OHMYGOSSIP — Ryan Gosling was pushed to his limits on ‘La La Land’.
The 36-year-old actor had fun working on the musical with Emma Stone, but admitted learning his lines, songs, dance routines, jazz piano and the keytar was a lot to take in.
He said: “Trying to fit the keytar into my schedule of things I had to learn was pretty funny.
“But we were all being pushed to our limits to see what we were capable of.
“We worked for three months on, for instance, one number that happens at sunset where it starts as a scene, then it becomes a song, and then it’s a dance and then it’s a scene again and it all happens in one take.”
The scene was a homage to Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers’ ‘Isn’t This a Lovely Day (To Be Caught In The Rain)’ routine from ‘Top Hat’, and Ryan loved getting the chance to put a new spin on the iconic footage.
He said: “That idea, just the clever nuance of the way Fred and Ginger’s characters were trying to make the best of a bad situation, we tried to subvert that lyrically in our scene. We tried to make the worst out of a good situation.”
Director Damien Chazelle was keen for the film to still be relatable, despite having a format so out-of-step with everyday life.
Ryan told Empire magazine: “The trickiest part as not to have these characters suddenly become different people because they were singing…
“One way we did that was to introduce comedy so we could have a rat-a-tat rhythm to the scenes and dialogue, so it didn’t feel too naturalistic.
“And we tried to find a way in the songs to keep the characters as flawed as they were in the scenes you’ve just seen them in, so often we sang live or tried to incorporate our limitations as dancers into the choreography.”

Ed Balls wants to 'keep coming back' to Strictly Come Dancing

OHMYGOSSIP — Ed Balls is determined to “keep coming back” to ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ each week.
The 49-year-old politician has consistently found himself at the bottom of the leaderboard on the latin and ballroom dance show, but so far has made it through each week by relying on the voting public to keep him in the competition.
Now, Ed – who is partnered with professional dancer Katya Jones on the show – has said he’s desperate to come back and dance another week, and will keep giving it his all for as long as the public want him to be there.
He said on spin off show ‘Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two’ on Friday (25.11.16): “If in the end the public want us to come back – we’ll keep coming back.
“I’m just looking forward to the next dance and trying to do our best every week.
“I was not the best dancer at the beginning – I was the worst dancer. I’ve never done it before. I wasn’t the youngest, but we’ve tried really hard.
“We’re trying to get better every week and we’re trying to entertain. Katya’s choreography is fantastic.”
But even if the former shadow chancellor manages to make it to the final, it’s unlikely he’ll lift the glitterball trophy as recent research carried out by Voucherbox.co.uk has found that members of parliament are typically not the best movers on the show.
The study – which looked into the programme’s 12-year history – found the politicians average at a dismal 10th place in the competition after Ann Widdecombe – who took part in the show 2010 – and Edwina Currie, who competed in 2011, failed to impress.
Meanwhile, an insider recently claimed the show’s judging panel – Len Goodman, Bruno Tonioli, Darcey Bussell, and Craig Revel Horwood – will likely vote Ed off the show if he falls into the dance off this week.
They said: “The challenge is almost definitely set to place Ed bottom of the judge’s leaderboard.
“He’s the worst dancer on paper and even if he nails his rehearsed dance, he’s set to be voted off by judges.”

Gogglebox earnings revealed

OHMYGOSSIP — Each family on ‘Gogglebox’ is paid £1,500 a month.
According to one of the show’s insiders, each participating family must commit to 12 hours of filming per week across two six-hour shifts, and receives the £1,500 at the end of the month. The money is then divided by the family members at their own discretion, according to a report published by The Sun Online.
Although the monthly wage may not seem like a lot when split between each member of each respective family, appearing on the show does come with added perks.
Whilst filming, the food that is seen being gobbled down by each group – often in the form of a takeaway – is supplied by the show free of charge.
News of the families’ wages comes after ‘Gogglebox’ star Scarlett Moffatt – who is currently battling bugs in ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’ – recently confided to camp mates Wayne Bridge and Joel Dommett that she’d managed to pay off her parents’ mortgage.
She said: “My aim is to be able to by me mam and dad a caravan.
“Cause they’ve always wanted one, but they are like £20,000, and I really want to be able to buy them one.
“And that’s the dream, everyone wants to be able to look after their mama and dad, like they did when they were younger.
“I paid off their mortgage off their house for them.”
Now, with the payment figures revealed, it is believed Scarlett – who appears on ‘Gogglebox’ with her parents – has used money from side projects to help support her parents.
Scarlett is reportedly receiving £70,000 from her stint in the jungle, as well as making money from her autobiography ‘Scarlett Says’ – which was released earlier this year – and a soon-to-be-released fitness DVD.

Eddie Redmayne makes Oscar confession

OHMYGOSSIP — Eddie Redmayne’s Oscar wears underpants.
The 34-year-old actor picked up the coveted Best Actor statuette for his performance in ‘The Theory of Everything’ in 2015 and he has the trophy on display in his house, but has ensured its modesty is protected from prying eyes.
He said: “My Oscar is in my apartment in London next to the sofa looking really shiny and almost unreal.
“And it has underpants on it that were sent to me by Jimmy Kimmell. White velcro underpants with a blue lining.”
Eddie is a huge fan of other British stars, though he has no idea why he and his countrymen are so popular in Hollywood right now.
Asked why they are so popular, he told heat magazine: “Oh gosh I have no idea. But we’re very lucky and long may it continue.
“I admire so many – Ben Whishaw is a genius. Andrew Garfiel, Ben Cumberbatch. Jack O’Connell – I think he is amazing. There’s a big long list.”
The ‘Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them’ actor has always been a fan of the ‘Harry Potter’ film and book series and thinks they make great “escapism” for people.
He said: “My little brother got me into the books and then the films became this great escape every year or two, where you could just go and bathe in JK Rowling’s world and forget all your troubles.
“It became kind of a ritual, I loved them.
“I think it’s the two worlds living side by side. It’s the escapism of that.
“It’s like we all live our own lives and the idea there’s a parallel world going on somewhere that you could shift into or move within – it just heightens reality doesn’t it? In a way that is great for one’s mind. It’s escapism and imagination.”

Michael Fassbender: Assassin's Creed isn't like Star Wars

OHMYGOSSIP — Michael Fassbender says ‘Assassin’s Creed’ is “not like” ‘Star Wars’.
The 39-year-old actor stars as Callum Lynch in the upcoming movie adaptation of the popular gaming franchise, but says the action packed feature doesn’t have a distinct sense of good and evil, as both sides can be “hypocritical”.
Speaking to Empire Magazine, the star said: “It’s not like ‘Star Wars’, where you’ve got the light side and the dark side.
“This is very ambiguous morally. Both of these parties – the Templars and the Assassins – are hypocritical at certain points. There are not clear-cut good and bad characters. I think it’s a little more provocative for an audience to see that. You know, ‘Should I be feeling that? Should I be backing this character?’ That’s always fun.”
Meanwhile, Michael recently admitted it had been 16 years since he last sat down and played a video game, despite starring in a movie based on the virtual experience.
He said: “The last time I had a serious stint with video games was 2000. There was a period of time where I was working in this warehouse at night. I would come home in the morning and just sit down in front of this racing game – I can’t even remember the name of it – and play it over and over.”
‘Assassin’s Creed’ will follow the story of Callum as he discovers he is a descendant of the secret Assassins Society and delves into his past. He must then learn the skills of a killer to fight the Templars – historic enemies of the Assassins Society – in the modern world.
The movie is expected to hit screens on January 6 2017.
