Dwayne Johnson misses throwing spiders at Kevin Hart in Jumanji jungle

OHMYGOSSIP — Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson is missing shooting ‘Jumanji’ on location in the jungle – because he can no longer terrify Kevin Hart by “throwing venomous spiders on him”.
The two actors have been busy shooting the family action film, which is a continuation of the story from the 1995 film of the same name starring the late Robin Williams, for the past few months and have spent a lot of time in wild jungles in Hawaii.
Now, Johnson and Hart – who appeared together in action/comedy ‘Central Intelligence’ – are filming their green screen scenes and although the former WWE wrestler loves working with the CGI experts he is missing being able to give his co-star arachnid angst.
In a post on his Instagram account – accompanied by a photo of himself sitting on a motorbike in front of a green screen – Johnson revealed: “For #Jumanji we shot for two months in the Hawaiian jungles and mountainous terrain – now for our final weeks we bring our filming inside and come to huge sound stages where we shoot all our very technical VFX green screen action.
“Always so impressed with this process as we get to tap into the minds of some of the most brilliant visual effects filmmakers in the world. Now the only drawback to not being in the real jungle, is that I can’t f**k with Kevin Hart by throwing venomous spiders on him, but the payoff is when you see the movie you’ll be transported to the amazing world of #Jumanji. #OnSet #SoundStages #GreenScreenVFX #IStillNeedToF##kWithHart #Jumanji (sic)”
Before filming took place in Hawaii, Johnson and the rest of the ‘Jumanji’ cast – which includes Jack Black, Karen Gillan and Nick Jonas – and director Jake Kasdan were blessed by a local priest.
Hawaiian Kahu Cordell Keka blessed the film with a “powerful aloha” to ensure the “spirit of laughter, enjoyment and love” was present throughout the shoot.

Christine Lampard wants kids

OHMYGOSSIP — Christine Lampard would “love” to have children of her own.
The 37-year-old television presenter has admitted she’d like nothing more than to start a family with her husband Frank Lampard, whom she married last year, but is enjoying being a step mother to his two girls Luna, 11, and Isla, nine, whom he has with his ex- fiancée Elen Rivas, until the right time comes along for them to start trying for a baby.
Speaking on ‘Loose Women’ on Thursday (01.12.16), Christine – who was hosting the programme – said: “I’m 37 but in my head I’m about 23/24. Of course you have to get your head around that biologically you can’t have babies forever. I certainly would love to have children. I think with Frank having two little girls, you’ve got a strange sense of motherhood without being mummy but it is a wonderful thing. There are no grandchildren in my family at all so I know my mum and dad would secretly love it. They’d never put pressure on us but I know they’d secretly adore it.”
And, although she’s not thinking about it too much yet, Christine is open to the idea of IVF – a technique used to help people with fertility problems – in the future.
She explained: “I would probably [have IVF]. I have very close friends that have gone down that road (IVF) and I know it can be incredibly difficult, you go through various rounds and they don’t work, it can be very stressful for couple.
“It’s one of those things where you just think, ‘Well, I’ll put my trust in whatever it is up there.’ But if you’re told you’re can’t, then that’s when I think I’ll go down that route. I’ve had a very good trial period of him and I know he’ll be a great dad.”

Adam Thomas and Wayne Bridge lose camp treat

OHMYGOSSIP — Adam Thomas and Wayne Bridge missed out on a mouth-watering camp treat after they failed to answer their questions correctly in the ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’ live quiz on ‘This Morning’ on Thursday (01.12.16).
The ‘Emmerdale’ hunk and the retired footballer – who have been in the jungle for almost three weeks – were the only contestants not to bag cheese and beans on toast and Southern-fried chicken and chips because they gave the wrong answers in the game conducted by the brunchtime show.
In a live video link between the camp and the studio, hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield kicked off the challenge by asking Adam which brother – Scott or Ryan – of his said he was going to “throw him under the bus” by encouraging fans to vote for him in the gruesome Bushtucker Trials.
However, the 28-year-old hunk got the question wrong – opting for Ryan instead of Scott – and had to watch Holly and Phillip devour his cheese and beans on toast right on the screen in front of him.
The hosting duo then went to Larry Lamb and forced him to do his best muscle man dance – flex his biceps in time to the music – in order to win elderflower juice and olives, which he successfully did.
Scarlett Moffatt also managed to win her mini Hawaiian pizza and garlic bread after she correctly answered which obscure face she pulled when she had to munch a fermented duck egg as part of a eating challenge last week.
However, Wayne wasn’t so lucky and missed out on his chicken and chips because he couldn’t distinguish between his scream and his camp mate Adam’s squeal when they did the Dingo Dollar Challenge involving sweet lambs earlier this week.
But, because he failed the question, the 36-year-old hunk couldn’t stop his mouth from watering as he watched Holly and Phillip chow down on the meat feast right in front of his eyes.
Joel Dommett, Sam Quek and Martin Roberts were among those to win their treat – a pork pie, sushi and tea and cake respectively – after they successfully answered their question correctly.
The winners received their calorific treats in camp after the video link had ended.

Frankie Bridge hates watching husband Wayne cry on TV

OHMYGOSSIP — Frankie Bridge can’t bear to watch her husband Wayne Bridge cry on television.
The retired football player has found it hard to control his emotions while competing in the current series of ‘I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here!’ and the Saturdays singer has admitted it’s “horrible” seeing tears roll down his cheeks on screen.
Speaking on ‘Lorraine’ via video link from Australia on Thursday (01.12.16), she said: “It’s been really weird, it’s something that is completely out of Wayne’s comfort zone, so that in itself is weird to watch him on TV.
“And then to see him crying is just horrible, I did have a good cry and I think loads of us did, but now he just seems like he is really enjoying himself and he seems to really coming in to his own, so that’s made me kind of relax a bit.”
And, although the 27-year-old singer has supported Wayne’s every move in the jungle so far, Frankie was left red faced recently when Wayne divulged details about their sex life, which was later aired to the nation during an episode last week.
She said when pressed on how she felt about the revelation: “I was just willing for him to be quiet, I was sitting with my mum and was like please just stop”
Frankie – who encouraged the hunk to take part in the programme – is hoping the 36-year-old sportsman’s appearance on the creepy-crawly show will change people’s perception of him as some people believed he was a “horrible” footballer.
She explained: “I think it’s weird that they’d think I’d kind of marry a horrible footballer, but I get it, they do have a bad rep so I did kind of say to him when he was doing the show, literally everybody that meets him loves him, there’s only one way it would go and it’s not going to go bad for him, he wanted to do it for experience so it’s quite nice for me to be like look I love him and now everybody else loves him.”

Stephanie Davis to film birth

OHMYGOSSIP — Stephanie Davis wants to film herself giving birth.
The 23-year-old actress is expected to welcome her first child – a baby boy – into the world at the beginning of January and, as her due date creeps closer, she’s decided she would love to capture her labour on camera after speaking with Jacqueline Jossa, who has 10-month-old daughter Ella with her partner Dan Osborne, recently.
Writing in her blog for OK! Online, the brunette beauty explained: “I had a lovely catch up with Jacqueline Jossa and we spoke about my pregnancy and her little one. She promised me labour wouldn’t be that bad and that everything is worth it in the end. She said it’s such a magical experience and that I’ll want another one after!
“I’m definitely going to take it all on board and make the most of it. I’m even thinking about filming it as it would be nice to have a personal memory to watch back when I want. I think my mum will be too excited to concentrate on filming though!”
Although she’s not due to give birth for at least another month, the former ‘Hollyoaks’ star is convinced her little one, who she has with her ex-boyfriend Jeremy McConnell, will come earlier than planned as he’s already measuring bigger than he should be.
She said: “I had my latest growth scan in preparation and I can officially confirm by baby is all ready to go! On the growth chart he’s already above the average line and we’ve still got weeks to go – he’s going to be one healthy boy! I just can’t wait to meet him now. I was a bit sad at this appointment though as I didn’t get to see my baby the way I usually do. His head is down and preparing to come into the world so we probably won’t be able to see his face from now on. They’ve booked me in for another appointment before Christmas to keep a close eye on us both.”
And Stephanie has started experiencing Braxton Hicks – irregular practice contractions that can be felt around mid-pregnancy and increase in frequency and strength as the pregnancy progresses – and pressure at the bottom of her stomach.
She explained: “It’s all going on too – the pressure has started now and I’ve been speaking to my midwife about Pelvic Girdle pain. She’s given me a few exercises to do and has given me something to wear to help relieve the pressure – I’m full on waddling now! I’ve also started to experience Braxton Hicks which keep waking me up in the night! They are painful but it didn’t compare to what I recently went through in hospital. I honestly can’t imagine my baby making it to my due date, the pains and him are so strong now I’m convinced he will come early.”

Michael Le Vells signs new contract for Coronation Street

OHMYGOSSIP — Michael Le Vell is set to stay on ‘Coronation Street’ for at least another year.
The 51-year-old actor, who is known for portraying mechanic Kevin Webster, has reportedly signed a contract for an estimated £170,000 – £20,000 more than he was on last year – that will keep him on the soap until the end of 2017 after he convinced bosses that, although he’s drinking occasionally, he’s not returned to his boozy ways.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “Mike has steadied the ship that’s for sure. He is more content with life than ever at the moment – happy with just about everything. OK he has gone back to the lager but it’s nothing like it was and he has re-assured the ‘Corrie’ hierarchy it isn’t a problem and they have accepted that.
“It’s going to be another happy new year for him. They know he is a professional at work, always punctual and knows his lines off by heart which is a godsend to the production people.”
Michael first joined the long-running programme in 1983 and, over the past 33 years, has been dished out a series of big storylines; including a romance with Anna Windass (Debbie Rush) and an affair with his best friend Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall)’s then-wife Molly (Vicky Binns), which resulted in the birth of his son Jack.
However, Michael hasn’t been on screen consistently as he took time off from the show in 2013 after he was accused of sexual assault, he was later cleared of the charges and briefly returned to the programme in March 2014 for a few episodes.
He then fled the cobbles again for a three-month stint in rehab after he became hooked on cocaine following the backlash of his sex assault trial.
He said at the time: “I’ve always been dead against drugs and have turned them down in the past. I’ve seen what they can do to people. But I had never felt so low. I knew I was innocent but everything was closing in on me.
“And when someone offered them to me, I just agreed. The first time I ever did cocaine was in the lead up to my trial. There were some bad influences around me and it felt like an escape. Now I’m so ashamed of what I did.”

The X Factor panel to stay the same next year

OHMYGOSSIP — Simon Cowell has decided to keep Sharon Osbourne, Nicole Scherzinger and Louis Walsh on ‘The X Factor’ judging panel for next year.
The 57-year-old show bosses is no stranger to switching up the panel every series but it seems the music mogul has finally found the three judges he wants to sit alongside on the programme indefinitely as he’s planning to ask the Irish music manager, the ‘Baby Love’ hitmaker and the 64-year-old television host to return to the ITV series in 2017.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “Simon wants all the judges back next year. Contracts haven’t been signed but negotiations are already well under way.
“Nicole is keen because she loves the show and Sharon also wants to come back as long as she can keep up her crazy transatlantic travel schedule.”
And, although Nicole and Sharon are yet to sign anything official, Louis already thought ahead and reportedly negotiated a two-year deal when he returned to the singing competition this year following his axe last year in favour of radio DJ Nick Grimshaw.
The insider explained: “It gave him the leverage to negotiate a two-year deal, which is unheard of for the judges. But it also meant he had the security and confidence that he will be part of the show for the long-haul.”
The news that Simon has decided to keep the panel the same will no doubt come as a surprise to viewers as the last time he kept the same judges for more than one series was in 2010 when he was joined at the table by Louis, Cheryl and Dannii Minogue.
Since then, he has recruited Gary Barlow, Tulisa, Mel B, Kelly Rowland and Rita Ora over the years to help mentor the contestants to success on the popular show.

Jordan Banjo ballooned to 294lbs

OHMYGOSSIP — Jordan Banjo once ballooned to 294lbs.
The Diversity dancer – whose brother is Ashley Banjo – used to guzzle eight litres of coca-cola when he was 15 years old but realised he had to kick his sugar addiction when he piled on the pounds and saw his waist line grow to a shocking 46 inches.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper, the 23-year-old hunk said of his chubby childhood days: “The problem wasn’t what I was eating, it was what I was drinking.”
However, the handsome star still hasn’t managed to get his drinking habits under control as he admitted to his camp mate Scarlett Moffatt while in the ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’ jungle that he’s never drunk water on its own without squash.
Scarlett warned him: “Be careful or it will be constipation day for you every day.”
Jordan was given the boot from the competition earlier this week after he lost the public vote against ‘Homes Under the Hammer’ star Martin Roberts, and he wasted no time gobbling down pizza and calorific treats once he was freed from the camp.
The dancer – who had lived on a diet of rice and beans for over two weeks – raised a few eyebrows with the Australian natives once he was released from the jungle as the first thing he did when he arrived at the hotel was order a BBQ feast from Domino’s.
He said: ”It wasn’t even 11 am in the morning and I was eating a BBQ meat feast.”
Meanwhile, the reality TV show is set to wrap up at the weekend but not before a heatwave hits the jungle, based in New South Wales, and wreaks havoc for Larry Lamb, Sam Quek, Wayne Bridge, Joel Dommett, Adam Thomas, Martin and Scarlett.
A source said: “Older contestants, particularly Larry, could find themselves in bother if they do anything too strenuous in these temperatures. They need to keep hydrated and apply sun cream regularly.”

Chris Pratt had lots of questions after Guardians audition

OHMYGOSSIP — Chris Pratt wanted the entire ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ script read to him after he auditioned for the film.
The 37-year-old actor claims he and director James Gunn “knew” he was right to play Star-Lord “within a minute” of him trying out for the role, but he didn’t want to leave until he knew exactly what the plot of the movie was because it had been kept so tightly under wraps.
He recalled: “Within a minute he knew it was me and I knew it was me. And then he just said, any questions? I was like, how much f***ing time do you have?
“Like, yeah, tell me everything. Tell me the script scene by scene, starting now, to the end, because you f***ing people won’t let me read it.
“So yeah, I have questions, I have nothing but f***ing questions.”
Chris – who has a four-year-old son, Jack, with wife Anna Faris – also opened up about his days as a struggling actor, admitting every cent counted.
He recalled to the upcoming issue of Britain’s GQ magazine: “Life was a series of choices based on the price backwards on the menu, when you didn’t look at, ooh, what do I want, you look at the lowest number, that’s what you’re going to get.
“The difference between a large soda and a small soda was the 49 cents, and you didn’t spend the 49 cents.
“I heard someone say to me if it’s a problem that can be solved by money, it’s not a real problem. And I thought what kind of f***ing asshole would come up with that?”
Meanwhile, the hunky star can next be seen in ‘Passengers’ opposite Jennifer Lawrence and was astonished by his co-star’s talent.
He gushed: “She is truly one of the greatest actresses I’ve ever had the pleasure to work with. She acts like Adele sings. You just sit back and you think, damn, some people… She’s a terrible singer! But she’s a wonderful actress. She could just do it. She could just turn it on and it strikes emotion in you, like some people can just open their mouths and sing.”

Nicolas Cage to star in Humanity Bureau

OHMYGOSSIP — Nicolas Cage is to star in ‘The Humanity Bureau’.
The 52-year-old actor will portray a caseworker who tries to save the lives of a single mother (Sarah Lind) and her son (Jakob Davies) in the futuristic sci-fi thriller.
The movie is set in 2030, a time when Earth has been ravaged by the effects of Global Warming. It takes its title from a newly-formed government agency in the American Midwest, which has the job of identifying members of society it feels are unproductive in the recession-hit region, and has them exiled to a colony called New Eden.
Lind’s character and her son have been sentenced to banishment, so it’s up to Cage’s alter ego to save them from their fate.
Rob King is directing the movie, from a script written by Dave Schultz.
‘The Humanity Bureau’ – which also stars Hugh Dillon – is shooting now in Canada and is expected to be released next year.
Cage can currently be seen in ‘Dog Eat Dog’ and has a number of other movies on the way, meaning there are lots of sober times ahead for the actor as he recently admitted he restricts drinking to once a week when he’s working on a movie.
He said: “I’m a very serious person when it comes to my work ethic. I have to manage my lifestyle if I want to perform at the top level. If I want to drink when I’m working, it’s on a Friday night and not after that. You have to have nothing in your body on Monday, because your anxiety levels go up. You have to stay relaxed so you can get the dialogue out. You’ve got a camera rolling and people relying on you, you’ve got to get the job done.”
However, Cage still likes to have fun at work because a good atmosphere on set helps the entire creative process.
He said: “I’m going to try and have fun – because that will help the performance. If I don’t have fun, I’ve always thought the audience isn’t going to have fun.”

ITV to air Jean Alexander tribute

OHMYGOSSIP — ITV will honour ‘Coronation Street’ star Jean Alexander with a special Christmas tribute.
The late actress portrayed the iconic Hilda Ogden on the popular soap from 1964 to 1987, and passed away just days before her 90th birthday in October this year after being taken ill and rushed to hospital.
The special feature will be comprised of classic clips from her time as Hilda, as well as heart-warming messages from friends, family, and cast members.
The special will air as part of the festive schedule due to “massive public affection” for the star and her “tremendously popular soap character”.
Although the broadcaster agree Jean’s legacy deserves a festive season slot, the programme won’t take the top spot on Christmas Day (25.12.16), instead airing on December 20.
An ITV source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “There was even talk of putting the tribute to Jean Alexander out on Christmas Day she was that big a character on screen for ITV, but it is now looking like airing just before on December 20.
“The tribute will be packed full of fun and family humour and the programme is already being filmed and is expected to be a real ratings winner.
“Jean was a much loved actress and the public out pouring of grief following her death reminded many at the top of television how iconic soap characters were in the days before TV had so many channels.”
‘Coronation Street’ did air a special episode in memory of Jean at the time of her passing, but bosses say they wanted to remember her with a commemorative programme instead.
And It isn’t the first time Jean has stolen hearts over Christmas either, as she bid originally goodbye to the classic soap on Christmas Day in 1987.

Bruce Forsyth won't appear on Strictly Come Dancing Christmas special

OHMYGOSSIP — Sir Bruce Forsyth won’t be appearing in the ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ Christmas special.
The 88-year-old showbiz legend – who stood down from the BBC One ballroom and latin show nearly three years ago due to his bad health – was expected to join co-hosts Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly through a recorded video message like he did last year, but it has been reported he is not up to the job.
A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “Last year the Strictly message was recorded in December, there are no plans to do one this year.
“It doesn’t seem right at this point. He needs a bit of peace and quiet to get on with getting better.”
And the TV presenter won’t return to work until he is 100 per cent well, after having life-threatening aneurysms which he suffered after a fall at home.
His wife, Lady Wilnelia, 59, recently admitted his recovery has been difficult.
She said: “The operation took his energy because of his age, there’s no question about it. Some days are better than others. On the not-so-good days, he tries to rest.
“We eat well – lots of vegetables, white meat and fish – and he’s working really hard with the physio. He’s in incredible shape mentally but he gets very tired. He doesn’t want to do anything publicly until he’s 100 per cent well. I respect that.”
Wilnelia says her husband’s love of TV has been keeping him entertained while he rests at home.
She explained: “Thank God he’s a TV freak. During the summer he followed the Olympics. Now we have The Apprentice. He enjoys watching Question Time, we do puzzles and he loves the internet. I used to go to a Zumba class to keep fit; now I do it at home in front of him. The children come to stay all the time, so there’s plenty of love around.”

Felicity Jones' 25 takes for iconic Star Wars line

OHMYGOSSIP — Felicity Jones took 25 takes to perfect the line ‘May the force be with us” in ‘Rouge One: A Star Wars Story’.
The 33-year-old actress stars as Jyn Erso in the upcoming spin-off movie, and was “nervous” about getting the iconic catchphrase in the sci-fi movie right.
Speaking during a Facebook Live interview with MTV, she shared: “It’s a big line but I don’t wanna overdo it, I don’t want this to be hammy. So I’m just trying to say it casually, you know, just throwing it out there.
“There are always certain lines and certain scenes that you have in your head that, before you go in shooting, you feel just a little nervous about. You have this calendar in your head that you’re dreading.
“I must have done about 25 takes of that line. And it was quite a big set-up because it was all of us coming in and walking up and she says the line.
“Each turnaround was about 15 minutes so you have a lot of time to think. It’s just one of those magical moments everyone wants to get right.”
Getting a part in ‘Rogue One’ – which also stars Diego Luna, Mads Mikkelsen and Forest Whitaker – has been a dream for the ‘Inferno’ star, who previously said she was a fan of ‘Star Wars’ before she joined the franchise.
Felicity can “remember watching” George Lucas’ original trilogy with her family when she was younger.
She said: “I remember watching when I was a little girl. I’d watch at my cousin’s house with my older brother, and for some reason we’d be really close to the TV watching it. We would watch it on VHS. I just remember the opening titles going up the screen.”
And it wasn’t just the ties to the ‘Star Wars’ mythical universe that drew Felicity to the role, as she also spoke out about how Rebel Alliance soldier Jyn’s “spirit” made her a “fantastic character” to portray.
She added: “It was the opportunity to play a kick-a** girl. She’s a real live wire. She’s got real spirit, and it was a just a fantastic character to make.”

Billy Dee Williams to star in The Lego Batman Movie

OHMYGOSSIP — Billy Dee Williams is set to star in ‘The Lego Batman Movie’.
The 79-year-old actor will lend his voice to the iconic supervillain Two-Face in the animated comedy spin-off of the traditional comic book movie, alongside Will Arnett who voices the caped crusader himself.
Director Chris McKay confirmed the news via Twitter when he was asked if Billy would be voicing the role, as he simply replied: “He does.”
The news comes after the actor previously portrayed Harvey Dent – who later becomes Two-Face when a mob boss throws acidic chemicals at him and severely scars the left side of his face – in the 1989 movie ‘Batman’, but never got the chance to step into the shoes of the character’s evil alter-ego.
Despite Billy saying he desperately wanted to portray the villain – which he says was the main reason he’d signed up to play Harvey Dent in the first place – the franchise moved in another direction when Joel Schumacher took over as director.
The villain would eventually be featured in 1995’s ‘Batman Forever’, but was instead portrayed by Tommy Lee Jones.
Meanwhile, Billy Dee Williams instead became a household name for his portrayal of Lando Calrissian in the early ‘Star Wars’ movies.
‘The Lego Batman Movie’ also features the likes of Zach Galifianakis as The Joker, Michael Cera as Batman’s sidekick Robin, Rosario Dawson as Batgirl, Ralph Fiennes as the butler Alfred Pennyworth, and Jenny Slate as Harley Quinn.
Singing legend Mariah Carey will also lend her voice to the animated movie, as she plays Mayor McCaskill.
‘The Lego Batman Movie’ is slated for release on February 10 2017.

Carol Vorderman leaves I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here

OHMYGOSSIP — Carol Vorderman has been voted off ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here’.
The ‘Countdown’ host has become the fifth celebrity to be eliminated from the jungle after losing out in the public vote.
Speaking to hosts Ant and Dec after her exit, she said: “It was a lot nicer than I expected because everybody was a team. I’ve watched it for years and there’s always been one who has been a niggler and there’s been arguments. It’s been completely different this year from what I remember.
“I’ve really loved it and particularly all the youngsters because they’re like the age of my daughter – Scarlett, Jordan, Sam and Adam. I’ve looked on them – because my daughter’s 24 – in [a maternal] kind of way. They give messages out like – you can be kind, you can be good.”
And whilst fellow campmate Martin Roberts didn’t get on well with everybody in the jungle, the 55-year-old television personality admits she was “very fond” of him.
She added: “I’m very fond of Martin. He had a really bad first day; he was being a bit pompous and I think that’s because he didn’t know what he was coming into. He’s not really a showbiz person; he does ‘Homes Under The Hammer’ separately and he doesn’t get involved in the whole celebrity circuit. I had chats with him to explain things to him nicely but firmly. If you say it nicely, rather than avoiding the subject and then praising him when he was doing really well.”
However, Carol is rooting for Olympian Sam Quek to win the show.
Speaking about the sportswoman, she shared: “I love Sam; she’s very straight forward. To her, it’s very important that she is representing hockey because she’s not a well known personality yet and so again for her, it’s important that the right messages come out.”

Ed Balls refuses to accept he's a sex symbol

OHMYGOSSIP —
Ed Balls doesn’t see himself as a sex symbol.
The 49-year-old politician emerged as an unlikely object of desire during his stint on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ – but Ed has downplayed his new-found status.
He said: “I don’t think I’ve taken that [sex symbol] on board at all. I’ve taken the snake hips though.
“Weddings and family parties of the future, I’ll definitely be doing the Charleston or a bit of the Cha-Cha-Cha and we’re [me and Yvette are] going to learn a routine together.”
Ed lost weight during his time on the programme, but has revealed that his wife, fellow politician Yvette Cooper, is worried how he will sustain his slimline figure.
He explained to ‘Loose Women’: “She thought I was overweight and she thought go and lose some pounds at dancing. I’ve lost a stone-and-a-half, which is not bad. Yvette is most worried about now is how I sustain this and keep going.”
Ed has surprised the public with his performances on ‘Strictly’, but he has claimed he’s always had an inner flamboyance just waiting to get out.
He said: “Oh definitely [I’ve always had that showbiz spark inside me]. People who do know me have said ‘this is a revelation’ but people who have known me for a long time have known I’ve always had this in me.
“What I didn’t think I realised that I had an inner Beyonce. As [dancer partner Katya Jones] flew past me on live television she yelled at me, ‘Give them more, give them more’.”
Ed also admitted that he would like to do more reality TV, but he would not be able to mix that flamboyance with a return to politics, like America’s ‘The Apprentice’ star and President-elect Donald Trump.
He said: “[Being president] is also about people’s lives and big decisions and my worry is Donald Trump is going to think he can be a reality TV President and that can be catastrophic.
“I know it’s a different thing … if you get them mixed up it can be dangerous and I’m not going to be foolish like that.”
