Russell Tovey relieved he didn't have to show soccer skills

OHMYGOSSIP — Russell Tovey would have needed “stunt legs” if he’d had to play football in ‘The Pass’.
The 35-year-old star plays soccer star Jason, who is struggling with his sexuality, in the upcoming movie – a role which has earned him a Best Actor nomination at the Evening Standard British Film Awards – but he admits he isn’t hugely interested in sport and was glad he didn’t have to show any skills in the film.
He said: “I went to Arsenal, which was the first football match I’d ever been to. That was great just to sample the atmosphere and to see how the players are treated like gods.
“And then I watched the documentary ‘Class of 96’.
“Thankfully, you never see me play football in the film because I would have had to have stunt legs.
“If I’d had to play football, there’s no way I’d have been nominated for anything, apart from Biggest K**b head.”
Russell spends a lot of the movie in just his pants and is proud he didn’t need any help padding out his briefs.
He said: “It’s all Tovey time! That’s all my fruit and veg down there.”
‘The Pass’ is set across three different time periods and Russell was happy to work at changing his physique for each era.
He told heat magazine: “There are three separate time periods, so I had to get my body looking different for each one.
“I was at my thickest when we filmed the later scenes, then I slimmed down and did lots of cardio and carbs to play Jason when he was younger.
“I think that has a big effect in the film, to see his journey.
“It also feels like you’ve earned it as an actor to have to work out and get your body looking a certain way.
“I’m always impressed when I read what an actor had to go through and now I’ve done that.”

5 After Midnight finish third on X Factor

OHMYGOSSIP — 5 After Midnight have placed third on ‘The X Factor’.
The boy band – which includes Kieran Alleyne, Nathan Lewis and Jordan Lee – narrowly missed out in a place in the ‘X Factor’ final after being kicked out of the competition on Saturday night (10.12.16).
Jordan said: “What can I say? It’s been the best experience ever! There’s been so much support and so much love. I can’t thank you guys enough. And we just hope for the best; the best people come out third, the best people come out second and the best people win it. That’s how it is.”
Whilst Kieran added: “It was amazing. We just want to say thank you to everybody that’s voted for us. To Simon, Nicole, Sharon and of course, Louis.”
And their mentor Louis Walsh was full of praise for the group, telling host Dermot O’Leary: “Catch them on the ‘X Factor’ tour. This is the start! It’s all going to happen for them.”
Earlier in the evening, 5 After Midnight opened the show – which was broadcast live from Wembley Arena, London – with a rendition of Beyonce’s ‘Crazy In Love’, which received high praise from the judges.
Nicole told them: “That is the way you open up the X Factor final at Wembley Arena. Your energy is electric. Awesome job.”
Whilst Sharon gushed: “The energy in here is Crazy In Love for you guys. Great performance from you all.”
And despite a little dig at Louis, Simon praised the trio, telling them: “This worked in the real world. The reason you’ve done so well is because you’ve worked so hard. This is what the X Factor’s all about.”
Later, the hopefuls returned to the stage to perform hit song ‘Tears’ with Clean Bandit and last year’s ‘X Factor’ winner Louisa Johnson.
Meanwhile, Matt Terry wowed with an effortless performance of ‘Take Me Home’ full of his signature falsetto whilst Saara Alto took to the stage to stun the 12,000-strong audience with ‘Everybody Wants to Rule the World’.
During the final, Matt duetted with his mentor Nicole for a performance of Prince’s ‘Purple Rain’ and Saara was joined by her dream collaborator Adam Lambert to sing Queen’s ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’.
The ‘X Factor’ continues on Sunday night (11.12.16) when Saara Aalto and Matt Terry will fight it out to be named this year’s ‘X Factor’ champion. Kylie Minogue, Madness and Little Mix will also perform.

Honey G debuts single on X Factor

OHMYGOSSIP — Honey G debuted her own song ‘The Honey G Show’ during the ‘X Factor’ final on Saturday (10.12.16).
The controversial contestant – who finished fifth on the ITV talent show – took to the stage for a performance of some of her biggest covers from the show whilst also giving fans a sneak preview of her debut single.
Speaking to host Dermot O’Leary after her performance, she said: “It felt wicked [to be up there]. I just want to plug my single that’s coming out on December 23 called ‘The Honey G Show’. Everyone who’s locked in, we’re going to rip it up. This is the Honey G official takeover …
“There was a sneak preview of my upcoming single in that medley. Everyone’s got to go out and buy it and support the single. Honey G’s taking over. It’s Honey G time.”
During the performance, Honey G and the ‘X Factor’ judges – Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh, Nicole Scherzinger and Sharon Osbourne – all donned Honey’s trademark sunglasses, which had her name scrolling across them.
The 35-year-old rapper – whose real name is Anna Georgette Gilford – is the first former contestant to perform a solo track at the final of the series which they took part in.
However, the decision to bring back Honey G wasn’t received well with fans.
One wrote: “So you let Honey G come back to Wembley but no one else? What makes the talentless waste of a rap Honey so special? Very strange decision? (sic)”
Whilst another added: “Why was Honey G getting special treatment over the other finalists??? Not as if Emily will get a five minute slot to give a promo for her new single… shocking behaviour X-factor (sic)”
However, some were pleased to see the return of the rapper, with one writing: “Shocking that she was ever voted out. HONEY G IS THE XFACTOR!!! What a performance!!! (sic)”
Earlier in the evening, Honey joined the other finalists to perform a mash up of Little Mix’s ‘Shout Out To My Ex’, DNCE’s ‘Cake By The Ocean’ and Justin Timberlake’s ‘Can’t Stop The Feeling’.
During Saturday night’s (10.12.16) show, 5 After Midnight left the competition, leaving Matt Terry and Saara Alto to fight it out to be crowned this year’s ‘X Factor’ champion.

Ore Oduba tops Strictly Come Dancing leaderboard during semi-final

OHMYGOSSIP — Ore Oduba topped the ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ leaderboard with two contrasting performances during the show’s semi-final.
The sports presenter came back from being in the dance off last Saturday night to wow the judges – Craig Revel Horwood, Len Goodman, Bruno Tonioli and Darcey Bussell – with an energetic quickstep to ‘Are You Gonna Be My Girl’.
Len, who gave Ore a standing ovation, said: “I’ll tell you that quickstep was a triumph. Speed and control, you had both of those. The key is – move fast and don’t look rushed and you never did.”
Whilst Darcey excitedly shared: “Wow, you came alive! It was terrific. You sped past us across the dancefloor. The energy, the attack, the focus was all there. Well done!”
Ore later took to the dancefloor to perform a passionate Argentine tango to ‘Can’t Get You Out of My Head’.
Bruno described it as “mesmerising, magnetic and hypnotic”.
He said: “That was mesmerising, I could hardly breathe because of the magnetic hypnotic dance. I don’t know if I was watching a lion tamer or a magician. I am telling you, that was outstanding.”
And Danny Mac impressed with his American Smooth to ‘Misty Blue’, even earning the praise of Craig.
He said: “That was right up my street. I loved it!”
Whilst Len added: “On that dance, I’ve got to agree with Craig now – that is right up my alley. You did the natural turns so beautifully.”
With the competition getting tougher, Louise Redknapp and Claudia Fragapane ended up joint bottom of the table despite their fantastic performances throughout the night.
Commenting on Claudia’s quickstep to ‘When You’re Smiling’, Craig said: “It did get me smiling! I loved the end of that routine. You had character throughout the whole thing. You danced like you were dancing for your life.”
Whilst Louise’s tango to ‘Glad All Over’ excited the judges.
Len said: “It reminded me of the Generation Game and as Brucie would say, ‘Didn’t she do well.’ Full of attack, full of attitude. There was a little moment here … but there was so much good in that routine, well done!”
‘Strictly Come Dancing’ continues on Sunday (11.12.16).

Louis Redknapp's 'working mum guilt'

OHMYGOSSIP — Louis Redknapp has “working mum guilt”.
The singer admitted that competing on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ has led to her missing out on time at home with her sons Charley, 11, and Beau, seven, and she feels terribly guilty.
She told The Sun: “Neither do their schoolwork unless I’m supervising and screaming at them.
“So I’ve written lots of notes in their homework diaries saying, ‘Sorry, we will catch up when I get kicked off ‘Strictly’.
“I feel working mum guilt as I’m sure any working mum will know, I had it before this and I’m sure I’ll have it again in the future.
“Mums put so much pressure on themselves these days, the biggest thing is to be the perfect mum, to keep up with all the other mums.
“There’s so much pressure on women to be the perfect mum but I think my kids love the fact that I am a bit all over the place.”
Meanwhile, Louis – who is married to Jamie Redknapp – recently revealed she hopes that her ‘Strictly’ partner Kevin Clifton will help her to fall pregnant.
The ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ professional’s previous celebrity partners Frankie Bridge and Kellie Bright, who worked with the married hunk in 2014 and 2015 respectively, have fallen pregnant almost immediately after taking part in the competition and now the 42-year-old singer is convinced her dance partner will be her “lucky charm”.
She said: “Frankie Bridge is obviously a good friend of mine and when she finished dancing with Kevin, she fell pregnant. And Kellie Bright did ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ with Kevin and went on to have a baby so now the joke is he will be my lucky charm because I said I’d really like a girl. I’m feeling the pressure, I’m going to have a baby. For me, fertility, has been well-documented. I didn’t have my first son easily, it took me a long time to have him. It took me four years. My second one, it took me four weeks so I think, for me, another baby I wouldn’t take it for granted but it’s not something I would rule out.”

Craig Revel Horwood tips Danny Mac for stage success

OHMYGOSSIP — Craig Revel Horwood has tipped Danny Mac for a career on the stage.
The ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ judge – who is also a West End choreographer and producer – has been so impressed with Danny’s performance on the show that he wants to sign him up after the series ends.
He told the Daily Star: “Danny’s such an amazing dancer, I’m definitely keen to sign him up for a role in one of my shows.
“He’s the perfect package – talented, an all-rounder on the dance-floor, a gorgeous face – and can we talk about his fantastic body and those rippling abs?
“He’s the gift that keeps on giving. What a ‘Strictly’ superstar he is.”
Despite being impressed with Danny, Craig doesn’t think he is guaranteed the glitterball trophy.
He explained: I don’t think it’s a foregone conclusion that Danny will win.
“Louise Redknapp has completely come out of her shell now and is flying through the competition. Claudia Fragapane has done really well and Ore Oduba is a naturally gifted dancer.
“I’m really glad that the audience get their say in the final and that our votes don’t count, because it’s becoming so hard to mark the celebs apart now – they’re all so good!
“This series has flown by, because the standard has been so high. I can’t wait to see the show dances in the final. They’re sure to be spectacular.”

Ben Affleck's Batman movie set for release before Justice League 2

OHMYGOSSIP — Ben Affleck’s ‘Batman’ movie will be released before ‘Justice League 2’.
The Warner Bros. Pictures and DC Entertainment movie is being written and directed by Affleck, who will also star in the film, and ‘Justice League 2’ has been pushed back to make way for it, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Zack Snyder, director of ‘Justice League’, which Ben appears in, and its sequel, has revealed that he will work on the thriller ‘The Last Photograph’ during his time off between the two movies.
Meanwhile, in October, Ben admitted he was still negotiating what budget he is going to have to spend on his ‘Batman’ film.
The film has been predicted to be released in 18 months’ time but Affleck insists there is no shooting schedule in place yet as he hasn’t finished the script and hasn’t finalised how much money he has to spend with Warner Bros. Studios who are backing the project with DC Entertainment.
In a Facebook Live interview, he said: “There is no Batman movie happening yet, we’re still trying to figure it out, you know, get the script and budget and all that stuff.”
Affleck has also clarified comments he made earlier in which he suggested the title of the superhero flick will be ‘The Batman’.
The Oscar winner insisted he was just thinking out loud when he made the comment and he hasn’t yet got a name in the frame.
He explained: “I mentioned it the other day … it’s been around for a long time, but the movie … And someone said, ‘What are you calling it?’ and I had said, like, back when we were promoting another movie, I was like, ‘We don’t have a name for it, we’re just going with ‘The Batman’ or Batman movie’, and I said that, and everyone was like ‘Affleck announces the name of his Batman movie.’ ”

Sherlock season finale to air in cinemas

OHMYGOSSIP — The final episode of season four of ‘Sherlock’ will be shown in cinemas.
More than 300 cinemas in the UK and Ireland, including Vue, Empire, Cineworld and Odeon chains, will show the episode ‘The Final Problem’ in January 2017.
Sherlock producer Sue Vertue said: “Fans clearly enjoyed the opportunity of watching ‘The Abominable Bride’ in cinemas last time so Hartswood Films are thrilled to be working with BBC Worldwide again to do the same for this series four finale.”
Mat Way, BBC Worldwide’s Commercial Director of Live Entertainment, said: “The incredible filmic qualities of ‘Sherlock’ make it perfect cinema viewing.
“We are delighted to be able to offer the UK and Irish fans the opportunity to enjoy the epic ‘Sherlock’ finale on the big screen.”
Speaking previously about the upcoming dramatic fourth season, Benedict hinted that fans might need a break after all of the excitement.
He said: “First and foremost we have got a fourth series for people to watch and understand and when they watch it they might go ‘Oh yeah, maybe there does need to be a break now’ because of what happens in it. No spoilers!”
And he admitted that fans could have to wait longer than ever before for the next installment after these episodes air.
He said: “I think there will be a lull. I don’t think it will be in a year and a half necessarily but we will wait and see and maybe it will be.”

Gary Barlow wanted Nicole Scherzinger for Let It Shine

OHMYGOSSIP — Gary Barlow wanted Nicole Scherzinger to star on ‘Let It Shine’.
The Take That singer tried to get the ‘X Factor’ judge to join him on his new BBC talent show but Nicole had already agreed to return to Simon Cowell’s ITV popstar search programme.
She told The Sun: “He did ask me. He said he was right about to call me then he saw Simon had signed me for X Factor and he was like, ‘Oh God’. So, that was sad.”
And Nicole revealed she is thrilled with the current panel of ‘The X Factor’, which includes Simon, Louis Walsh and Sharon Osbourne, and hopes they will all return next year.
She said: “If I was ever to do another panel with ‘X Factor’ it would only be with the one we have now. If someone quit, I would quit.
“Unless Gazza came back, I love Gary. I’m so excited for ‘Let It Shine’, I can’t wait.
“I just love Gary Barlow. Everything he does is golden.”
Meanwhile, it was recently revealed that ‘Let It Shine’ – which will see judges search for stars for a Take That-themed West End musical – will air on the first Saturday of 2017, the same day ‘The Voice’ will be first broadcast on ITV, after the channel outbid the BBC for the rights to the series.
A source said: “Both shows are being shot in the same studios, which is extra-awkward. Gary has even told people that as soon as he found out Let It Shine was up against ‘The Voice’, the BBC show upped the ante.
“And there’s no plan to rule out a 15-minute window where both shows are on.”
Despite a possible overlap, ‘Let It Shine’ – which will feature judges Gary, Martin Kemp, Dannii Minogue and guest panellist Lulu – is expected to start earlier than The Voice’s 8pm kick-off time.
But there are concerns about the two shows launching on the same day because such a move may go against a government white paper outlining BBC guidelines which stated any scheduling clashes should consider “the best interest of viewers”.

Spider-Man 2 gets release date

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Spider-Man Homecoming 2’ will be released on July 5, 2019.
Although ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ won’t be out until July 7, 2017, Sony has already decided on a release date for the sequel and star Tom Holland has signed up for three movies.
Speaking about the Marvel franchise, he previously said: “I do know I have three Spider-Man movies and three solo movies contracted. But if you have another movie, Marvel is so good at working around it. They’re very respectful of your life, really. They understand that you have to work on other movies, and they try and fix it up so you can work around each other.”
Meanwhile, Tom previously revealed he found out he got the part of Spider-Man via Instagram.
Asked how he learnt he had the job, he said: “I was in my bed scrolling through Instagram. It had been about a month since my audition. And Marvel just posted a photo saying go to our website and find out who the next Spider-Man is. I went on the Marvel website on my computer and there it was: The new Spider-Man is Tom Holland. I went ballistic, like absolutely nuts.”
Tom has already portrayed Spider-Man in ‘Captain America: Civil War’, but says this time they’ve decided to make the fight scenes “child-friendly”.
He said: “You’ve seen the billionaire, the scientist, the soldier. Now it’s time to see the kid. And every decision we make on set is based off how would a kid react in this situation, so every fight scene we have is designed in a way that’s almost child-friendly, so he never actually punches anyone. It’s all done kind of by accident. I think the biggest difference is his youth and innocence.”

Michael Fassbender's lucky career

OHMYGOSSIP — Michael Fassbender thinks his success is “95 per cent luck”.
The ‘Assassin’s Creed’ actor didn’t get his breakthrough role, in ‘Hunger’, until he was 31 years old, and he admits he is in a profession which relies very much on other people for opportunities to come along, so he always does his best with whatever comes his way.
He explained: “It’s about being in the right place at the right time. Ninety-five per cent is luck – meeting the right people.
“As actors we are very dependant on others to help us get to where we are. Where I’m at today wouldn’t have happened without a series of people who helped me along the way.
“You have to be awake to these encounters, too.
“With ‘Hunger’ I was very aware that I was getting an opportunity that might not come about again for maybe another seven years, 10 years, if at all.
“So I grabbed it by the scruff of the neck and went for it. I focused and worked hard.”
The 39-year-old actor has a number of values that are important to him when working, which he learned at a young age from his family.
He explained in an interview with The Red Bulletin magazine: “I just stick to the principles my parents gave me: if you are going to do a job, do it properly. Treat others as you would have yourself treated.
“Treat people with respect. Be honest. Keep things pretty simple, and don’t take yourself too seriously.”
Michael initially wanted to be a musician, but gave up that dream when he realised he’d never be as good a guitarist as his friend.
He explained: “My original plan was to play guitar in a heavy metal band. I practised two hours a day, every day when I came home from school.
“And then my friend came around with his guitar one day and he blew me out of the room. I was like, ‘He’s got what it takes, I don’t.’ But around that same time I did some acting classes.
“Most of the things I was participating in at school, including sports, I was average at. But with this, I had an affinity with it. I felt I could express myself.”
The full interview with Michael is available to read in the 13 December issue of The Red Bulletin.

Samia Ghadie's daughter wants to be in Coronation Street

OHMYGOSSIP — Samia Ghadie’s daughter wants to be in ‘Coronation Street’.
The 34-year-old actress – who has Freya, seven, from a past relationship and Yves, 15 months, with husband Sylvain Longchambon – thinks the youngster is very “dramatic” and loves coming to visit her on the set of the ITV soap.
She said: “Freya goes to a local musical theatre school on Thursdays and loves it. She is very dramatic.
“She is so much more confident than I was at her age.
“She loves coming in to see me at work. The other week she saw one of the girls from the casting department.
“She did a star shape with her arms and said, ‘I’m going to be in ‘Corrie’ when I grow up’. They said they didn’t doubt it.”
But it seems Freya isn’t the only member of the household that wants to join Samia – who has played hairdresser Maria Connor for 16 years – on the show.
Her husband, former ‘Dancing on Ice’ professional Sylvain, said: “I think Maria should get a new French boyfriend. She could go ice skating and meet him.”
Samia can’t believe she’s been in ‘Corrie’ as long as she has, but insists she has no plans to leave.
She told OK! magazine: “I was 17 [when I joined]. It’s half my life now. That is just mental.
“My original contract was for three months – it seemed like a long time at the time.
“I was at the Cannes Film Festival promoting the film ‘There’s Only One Jimmy Grimble’ and everybody kept asking me when I was leaving ‘Corrie’.
“I’m really happy. I’ve literally grown up there, but that feels nice. With the storylines I’ve been getting, why would I leave?”

Noel Gallagher snubbed Strictly Come Dancing offer

OHMYGOSSIP — Noel Gallagher turned down an offer to appear on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The 49-year-old guitarist was approached to take part in numerous TV shows when he quit Oasis in 2009 and took a break from the limelight until he returned with his debut solo album ‘Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds’ in 2011.
Noel can recall getting a phone call from his manager telling him producers wanted him for the BBC One ballroom show, but the offer was met with silence.
During an appearance on Steve Lamacq’s show on BBC Radio 6 Music on Friday afternoon (09.12.16), he spilled: “I was asked to go on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’. It was just when Oasis split up and I didn’t do anything for like a couple of years. There’s obviously someone there going, ‘You know what. He’ll be up for it now. He’ll be desperate now.’ My manager called me up, saying I don’t really want to, legally, I have to inform you of this. Are you aware of ‘Strictly Come Dancing’?’ ‘EEE,’ the phone goes.’ ”
Noel was also once asked to appear on ‘Top Gear’ to take part in the ‘Star in a Reasonably Priced Car’ test track segment.
However, the ‘D’You Know What I Mean?’ hitmaker – who was joined in Oasis by his estranged brother Liam Gallagher – spurned the offer as he can’t drive.
He revealed: “I was asked to go on ‘Top Gear’ a lot and they would never ever seem to realise what I was saying when I say, ‘But I can’t drive.’ ‘Don’t worry about that, Jeremy (Clarkson) will sort that out.’ It’s like, ‘How? I can’t drive. I haven’t got a licence I cannot drive a car’. ‘Don’t worry about that, The Stig will teach you.’ ”
Noel has made no secret of the fact that Simon Cowell personally asked him to be a judge on ‘The X Factor’ but he had to politely decline the job because he knew his personality wouldn’t suit the format of the pop star search show.
He said: “Yeah. I can’t be bothered being on ‘The X Factor’, it’s hard work all that kind of thing, you know what I mean? You’d have to be there every Saturday night, as well as sitting there in, you know, Birmingham Arena, sitting there thinking ‘Kill me now.’ Someone else ‘Flying Without Wings.’ This is just appalling. Clearly, you know, ‘No.’ ”

Saara Aalto invites fiancee and ex-boyfriend to X Factor final

OHMYGOSSIP — Saara Aalto has invited her fiancée and her ex-boyfriend to ‘The X Factor’ final this weekend.
The 29-year-old contestant is hoping to impress the public and mentor Sharon Osbourne in this weekend’s final at London’s Wembley SSE Arena, and has recruited the support of her current fiancée Meri Sopanen as well as her former lover Teemu Roivainen – who she previously dated for nine years.
Speaking on ITV’s ‘Lorraine’, when asked if her ex-boyfriend will be joining her, she confirmed: “Yes, he’s coming.”
And asked when she will be exchanging vows with her fiancée, Saara revealed: “I think we’re going to wait for maybe another two years, we will see.”
The Finnish star has been rehearsing ahead of the final show in which she will compete against 5 After Midnight and Matt Terry.
And while she remained tight-lipped about her rumoured duet with Adam Lambert, Saara did confirm she’ll be singing Tears for Fears’ hit ‘Everybody Wants To Rule The World’.
But she promised:”My version will be a bit different.”
Meanwhile, Saara believes she now has a good chance of winning the show, because she has won over the British public.
Earlier in the competition, Saraa almost lost her place in the competition when she found herself in the bottom two sing-off but she’s gone from strength-to-strength week after week.
She said: “I think I just needed some time because I came from another country and people wasn’t sure if they liked me or not.
“Then when weeks went by people were like, ‘We like Saraa’s voice,’ and, ‘We like her personality and her performances.’ And yeah, they’re voting for me. I feel so grateful that people are voting for me and this is my new home, I want to stay here, I want to make my career here.”

Ryan Reynolds has confidence in Deadpool 2 director David Leitch

OHMYGOSSIP — Ryan Reynolds has promised that ‘Deadpool 2’ director David Leitch will make the movie look as though it has been made with the same millions as a blockbuster.
The 40-year-old actor is reprising his role as the wise-cracking mercenary Wade Wilson in the sequel to the first superhero role, which went on to gross $782 million worldwide.
Although Deadpool originated in Marvel comics the movie is not part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, instead it is distributed by 20th Century Fox and so the budget is less, but Reynolds says one of the reasons why Leitch was chosen to replace Tim Miller – who quit the franchise over “creative differences” – is his ability to make the most out of less cash.
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Reynolds said: “One of the things that David Leitch does that very few filmmakers can do these days is they can make a movie on an ultra-tight minimal budget look like it was shot for 10-15 times what it cost.
“Everybody was just a fan of his work. He’s just a guy who’s so muscular with his action. He also really understands those Deadpool sensibilities and where we need to take the franchise from here. And I love [his movie] ‘John Wick’.”
Reynolds has nothing but respect for Miller for his work on the first film and his contribution to making it such a huge success.
He said: “There is not a human being on earth that worked harder on ‘Deadpool’ than Tim. He’s an incredibly, incredibly talented director.”
Reynolds also confirmed that the sequel is just in the “development stage” and they are currently casting for someone to portray Cable – the time-travelling son of Cyclops and Madelyne Pryor (a clone of Jean Grey) and actress to portray telekinetic female mercenary Domino
‘Deadpool 2’ is expected to be released on January 2018.

Ben Mendelsohn's Star Wars dream came true

OHMYGOSSIP — Ben Mendelsohn admits his childhood dream came true when he was cast in ‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story’.
The 47-year-old thespian plays villain Director Orson Krennic in the space opera – directed by Gareth Edwards – and he admits no other moment in his professional career as an actor can compare to when he was given the job to appear alongside Darth Vader in Disney’s new spin-off movie.
In an interview with The Guardian newspaper, he said: “It was like the seven-year-old me’s dream come true, 1977, ‘Star Wars’. From the ages of six to about 12, you’ll find that’s the peak age range where these movies go straight in – zoom! It hit me at an elemental level, and, for that kid I was then, I’m very glad.”
Mendelsohn, like all actors, has been on a long journey to movie stardom and he wishes he could have known he was going to be a key player in a galaxy far, far away when he was struggling.
He added: “I often quip that there were many times in my life when I wish I’d been able to tell myself, ‘Don’t worry about it, one day you’ll be in a ‘Star Wars’ movie.’ Alas, you can’t do it. And yet … here we are.”
Mendelsohn famously appeared in Australian soap ‘Neighbours’ at the same time as Kylie Minogue and Jason Donovan and has appeared in several critically acclaimed films including ‘Killing Them Softly’, ‘The Place Beyond the Pines’, ‘Black Sea’ and ‘Exodus: Gods and Kings’.
‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story’ will be released worldwide on December 16.
