Olivia Buckland to do Celebrity Big Brother

OHMYGOSSIP — Olivia Buckland wants to do ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ with her boyfriend Alex Bowen.
The ‘Love Island’ beauty – who met her beau while they were taking part in the reality TV show over the summer – has admitted she’s opened to the idea of taking part in the Channel 5 programme next month but only if her hunky partner can join her.
Speaking to The Sun Online, she said: “I don’t think that I’ll ever be done (with reality TV), I’d never say never, you never know what’s going to happen. I loved the experience of ‘Love Island’ and if I could do something similar with Alex then I don’t think I could say no. If Alex came with me [into the ‘CBB’ house] I’d go for it.”
And the 22-year-old star may just get her wish as bosses of the popular show are currently on the hunt for a batch of new celebrities to join previous contestants in the forthcoming ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ special series ‘All Stars vs. New Stars’.
Details on the line up are being kept tightly under wraps but it’s believed Jedward – the annoying twins Edward and John from ‘The X Factor’ – former ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ professional James Jordan, Lee Ryan, American couple Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt and Jasmine Lennard have agreed to return as the All Stars.
However, the New Stars category seems thin as the only celebrities tied to that list are former ‘The Only Way is Essex’ star Danielle Armstrong and Bianca Gascoigne.
A source said recently: “Danielle has a big personality and would be a great asset to the house. She’s looking to branch out now her ‘TOWIE’ days are over and sees ‘CBB’ as a great way to do this. Her fellow ‘TOWIE’ stars have managed to get their own shows out their stint in the house – she wants to do likewise.”
‘Celebrity Big Brother’ will return to screens on January 3 and bosses have promised it’ll be “explosive” with a huge clash of personalities locked inside a house for three weeks.

Scarlett Moffatt to move to London

OHMYGOSSIP — Scarlett Moffatt wants to move to London with her boyfriend.
The ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’ winner is planning to leave her family in the north east of England behind and set up home in the capital with her partner Luke Crodden so she can get the most of out her success in the jungle.
She told OK! magazine: “It sounds a bit crazy but we moved in together after a month! We’re [now] moving into a flat in London together in time for Christmas! I want us to have a tree in our new home for our first Christmas together.”
The ‘Gogglebox’ star returned to the UK last week following four weeks Down Under but Luke wasn’t able to meet her from the airport as he was busy looking after their dog Bonnie, although they eventually got their emotional reunion.
He said: “We couldn’t stop crying when we were reunited. I ran into the sitting room, grabbed hold of her and didn’t let her go for the rest of the night.”
Although it’s believed the brunette beauty’s career will explode following her stint in the jungle, Scarlett’s mother Betty and her husband Mark don’t think their daughter will let the success go to her head and will remain very “grounded”.
Betty – who works at a clothes store – explained: “She’s very grounded and I hope she’ll always stay like that. She just watches TV. She’s a normal girl.”
Producers from different channels watched Scarlett in the jungle and have been in touch with her management about future television shows as they believe her witty one-liners will rake in viewers.
A source said recently: “There has even been talk of her fronting her own TV show. Scarlett will be ecstatic. She went into the jungle in the hope that it would lead to TV work. This is her chance to go from someone known for watching TV on her sofa to someone known for being on TV in her own right.”
And it’s not just television work that has come off the back of the jungle, as it’s thought Scarlett has been offered a publishing deal for her own autobiography.

Gemma Oaten to guest star in Holby City

OHMYGOSSIP — Gemma Oaten is set to make a guest appearance in ‘Holby City’ next year.
The former ‘Emmerdale’ star – who was known for playing tracksuit-loving mother Rachel Breckle in the ITV soap – shot her first scenes for the medical drama on Monday (12.12.16) and has already slotted in well with the team.
Taking to her Twitter account just after she arrived on set, the brunette beauty uploaded a photograph of her dressing room with her name on it and accompanied it with the caption: “Hello #holbycity Feeling one of the luckiest & loving every minute! Can’t say anything more #happy #actress #dreambig (sic)”
It’s not yet known who the 32-year-old actress is playing – whether that’s nurse or patient – in the BBC series or how long her alter ego will be sticking around for.
However, it seems Gemma’s role will last longer than one episode as she has admitted that she’ll be back on set soon to shoot more scenes.
She explained: “Really wonderful first day @BBCHolbyCity can’t wait for more. Thank you for all your kind words. Sorry not replied to all! Love you! xx (sic)”
But it seems Gemma’s first day at work has been tough as she later admitted that filming had “shattered” her slightly and she was unwinding with wine.
She said: “Thank you! Amazing day @BBCHolbyCity slightly shattered but happily so! #grateful x
“Having a glass of fizz at @Qvoiceltd Xmas party to celebrate Yay! Xxx (sic)”
Gemma isn’t the first person from ‘Emmerdale’ to join a medical drama as her former co-star Chelsea Halfpenny now has a permanent role in ‘Casualty’.
The 25-year-old actress appeared in the popular show, which is set in the same hospital as ‘Holby City’, last year as trainee doctor Alicia Munroe before her alter ego fled the department as she felt bullied by consultant Lily Chao (Crystal Yu).
She then returned to the hospital this year after her parents divorced and she has certainly made her mark on the male staff thus far.

Gareth Edwards: There's something special about the British accent

OHMYGOSSIP — Gareth Edwards thinks there is “something special” about the British accent.
The 41-year-old director has helmed the much-anticipated ‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story’, which was shot in Britain and features English actress Felicity Jones and Welsh actor Spencer Wilding, who plays the iconic Darth Vader.
Gareth said: “There’s just something special about the accent. We do a very good bad guy – you get the impression that when the Empire has a job vacancy it tends to head-hunt people from the Royal Shakespeare Company.
“Also I found out that when you’re filming in Britain, there are all sorts of reasons why it’s just easier to hire Brits.”
Gareth claimed that the British movie industry is punching well above its weight at the moment.
He told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “This is the first ‘Star Wars’ movie to be shot in Britain as well as having a British star and a British director. That’s because as a country we punch above our weight in terms of the great artists and work we can produce.”
And Gareth said that despite the movie’s release, he can still barely believe he was afforded the opportunity to direct a ‘Stars Wars’ film.
He shared: “I still can’t believe that I am directing a ‘Star Wars’ movie.
“When I was five years old, I used to go to bed in ‘Star Wars’ pyjamas between ‘Star Wars’ sheets. Now, every day I wake up and check I’m not in those same pyjamas and sheets and it wasn’t just a five-year-old boy’s amazing dream.”

Ruby Rose almost drowned during filming of Meg

OHMYGOSSIP — Ruby Rose almost drowned on the set of her new movie ‘Meg’.
The 30-year-old actress has recalled the time she was left shaken as she felt herself sinking during the filming of a water scene and was even more worried when the director John Turteltaub thought she was just acting for the intense shark scene, rather than trying to rescue herself.
Ruby said: “John thought I was acting, and I was acting for a little bit, but then I really needed them to throw me something to get out of the water.
“(John) was like, ‘Just hold, this is great, this is amazing.’ And I was thinking, ‘This is not fantastic, I’m sinking’.”
And the actress explained that although she was worried for her safety, she tried to stay professional and attempted to make the incident turn in to a great scene for the upcoming horror flick.
Ruby told Daily Mail Australia: “I then screamed, ‘Help!’ I did it in my American accent because I thought, ‘If this looks amazing, I still want it’.
“Because you can’t say anything longer than [Ruby] when you’re choking water up.”
The ‘Orange Is The New Black’ star will play a nerd called Jaxx Herd in the movie, which is based on the 1997 science fiction book ‘Meg: A Novel Of Deep Terror’ by Steve Alten.
The plot features a former Naval captain, played by Jason Statham, who is recruited to take on a deep-sea mission to rescue scientists who are under attack from a fearsome white shark.
Ruby will star alongside Rainn Wilson, Robert Taylor and Australian actress Jessica McNamee and the film is set for release in 2018.

Len Goodman will 'regret' Strictly Come Dancing quit

OHMYGOSSIP — Len Goodman thinks he’ll “probably regret” quitting ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The 72-year-old head judge’s time on the ballroom and latin show is swiftly coming to an end and, although he feels he needs to step away from the competition following 12 years on the panel, he’s convinced he’ll be struck down with deep feelings of nostalgia when the programme returns next year.
Speaking on the show’s spin-off ‘It Takes Two’ on Monday (12.12.16) night, he said: “What I’m gonna miss is turning up at the studio and [having] the expectation of what’s going to happen,” he said. “[I’ll miss] meeting up with the other judges because we get along great. Craig [Revel Horwood], Darcey [Bussell], Bruno [Tonioli] – we have such a laugh… That’s what I will miss. As much as I’m sure this is the right time to go, I bet when next year comes around I’ll be sitting in doors and thinking, ‘I was daft’. It’s the right time.”
And, although he’s experienced over a decade on the panel and seen several stars excel in ballroom dancing, the choreographer didn’t expect ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ to take off as well as it did when it first hit television screens in 2004.
He explained: “I was convinced it wouldn’t work. I really was. It was 2004, ballroom dancing wasn’t at the pinnacle of its popularity. I didn’t think the celebrities would be able to dance to such a high standard. I think the pros did a brilliant, wonderful job. What I admire with the BBC – if I’d have been the BBC, I’d have thought, ‘We’ll do it on a Wednesday after ‘Newsnight’ and see how it goes’. No, they went full bore – Saturday night, huge band and Brucie [Forsyth]. They had such nerve to do it like that. It’s just truly been a phenomenon.”
Len may be hanging up his paddle board for good in the UK, but the US will still get to enjoy the loveable judge for at least another year on ‘Dancing With the Stars’, but he has hinted that he may retire from that show too next year.
He said with a sigh: “You sign an annual contract with the BBC, but in America I have signed a two-year contract.”

Kieron Richardson expecting twins

OHMYGOSSIP — Kieron Richardson is set to become a father next year.
The 30-year-old actor and his husband Carl Hyland, whom he married last year, have taken to Instagram to reveal that they will become the proud parents of not one but two children when their surrogate gives birth next year.
The couple shared the news in an adorable festive-themed video, which showed two “Baby on board” signs hung up on a Christmas tree, before revealing Kieron and Carl sat on the floor opening a present. When they remove the wrapping, the gift is a large piece of card which reads: “Twins coming 2017”
The caption on the video read: “Merry christmas to us thanks to the British surrogacy centre (sic)”
In September, the ‘Hollyoaks’ star revealed that the pair had been struggling to conceive a baby through in vitro fertilisation (IVF), and were concerned they weren’t going to ever have a family of their own.
He said: “We were hoping to have a baby this year. Unfortunately, like anyone who is trying for a baby through IVF – whether they are gay couples or not – it is a lottery.
“The statistics when we first started it were a 70% success rate. We have tried it four times, with the same surrogate mum, and we have fallen into that 30% bracket of it not working.
“But we have not given up the fight and are still continuing. We are going to keep trying until it is successful.”
The joyous news of success for the happy couple comes a year and a half after they tied the knot in front of Kieron’s co-stars at Buxton Dome in the Peak District.

Rachel Weisz to star in Dr. James Barry biopic

OHMYGOSSIP — Rachel Weisz is set to star in the ‘Dr. James Barry’ biopic.
The 46-year-old actress has snapped up the titular role in the big screen movie of 19th century surgeon – who famously pretended to be a man in order to follow her dreams of practicing medicine – according to Deadline.com.
But the brunette beauty won’t just have the mammoth task of learning her lines and depicting the medical practitioner, as she’s also agreed to produce the forthcoming film alongside Maven’s Celine Rattray and Trudie Styler.
The script has been penned by Nick Yarborough, who has based his adaptation on Rachel Holmes’ non-fiction account ‘Scanty Particulars: The Scandalous Life and Astonishing Secret of James Barry, Queen Victoria’s Most Eminent Military Doctor’, which was published in 2003.
It’s not yet known who will join Rachel – who is married to Daniel Craig – in the forthcoming blockbuster as details on the cast are being kept tightly under wraps for now.
The big screen adaptation will follow Dr. Barry’s life, from when she was born as Margaret Bulkley to her struggle trying to practice medicine and right up to her death in 1865.
Barry – who became an army surgeon and worked in Cape Town – was known for fighting for the lower classes and pushing for medical reforms and better sanitary conditions.
Her true gender was not disclosed until her death.
A release date for the biopic has not yet been released.

Patrick Wilson joins Aquaman

OHMYGOSSIP — Patrick Wilson will play the antagonist in ‘Aquaman’.
The 43-year-old actor is set to play the titular character’s evil half-brother Orm Marius – also known as the Ocean Master – in the upcoming DC Comics movie.
Wilson will be playing the super villain to Jason Momoa’s superhero, who is a rival for the throne of Atlantis and capable of wreaking havoc and chaos across both the city, and the ocean as a whole.
Whilst the character of Aquaman himself will be featuring in the upcoming ensemble movie ‘Justice League’ – which sees heroes such as Batman, Superman, The Flash, Wonder Woman, and Cyborg join forces to defeat super-villain Steppenwolf – the timing of Patrick’s casting makes it unlikely that he will make an appearance.
Wilson will also join previously announced cast members Amber Heard, who plays Mera, the Queen of Atlantis, and Willem Dafoe, who will portray a friend and advisor to Aquaman named Vulko.
Meanwhile, director James Wan recently teased details about the movie.
He said: “I kind of don’t want to give too much away but know this: The spirit that I’m going for is like a classic sort of swashbuckling action adventure, sort of high seas adventure story. It’s ultimately a quest story in the spirit of ‘Raiders of the Lost Ark’ meets ‘Romancing the Stone.'”
James also revealed the appearance of Aquaman and Mera in ‘Justice League’ will give give the world a hint of what their standalone movie will be like.
He explained: “I think Amber and Jason Momoa, in their moments in ‘Justice League’, are going to give the rest of the world a flavor of what their own standalone movie could be. And that is just scratching the surface of what I plan to do.”
‘Aquaman’ will be released by Warner Bros. on October 5, 2018.

Alan Carr hated going home to boozy boyfriend

OHMYGOSSIP — Alan Carr used to dread going back home to his alcoholic fiancé.
The 40-year-old comedian has admitted he used to be wracked with worry when he’d leave his partner Paul Drayton – who has since become sober – alone in the house because he knew he’d be busy knocking back the booze and getting himself legless.
Speaking on ‘Loose Women’ on Monday (12.12.16), he said: “Living with an alcoholic, it’s not like Patsy in ‘Ab Fab’, they have really dark moments. You leave the house and you don’t know what you’re going to come back to, or whether they’re okay.”
And, although the former ‘Chatty Man’ host managed to help Paul get his life back on track, he’ll never forget the mixed emotions he felt before he had to carry on with work.
He explained: “He’d been to rehab a couple of times. Paul came to me a while ago and he told me ‘I need help now.’ He kept saying to me, my life is out of control. He’s fine now, he’s sorted. I’ve been in bits before I stepped on stage but you have to get on with it. Sometimes it actually helps, It is like a tonic, you need the applause.”
Alan may be used to gulping down alcoholic beverages on screen but he has decided to ban all bottles from his home in a bid to keep Paul on the straight and narrow.
He explained: “It’s done me good [giving up alcohol].”
Paul proposed to Alan in Indonesia in September and the pair have already decided they want their close friend Adele to perform at the wedding.
Alan said recently: “The engagement only happened last week so I don’t know exactly what we’ll do. But a big old wedding and we’ll get Adele singing ‘Someone Like You’.”

Lucy Pargeter to find out twins' sex at Christmas

OHMYGOSSIP — Lucy Pargeter is hoping to find out the sex of her baby twins “just before Christmas.”
The ‘Emmerdale’ star is thrilled she’s expecting two little ones with her fiancé Rudi Coleano, with whom she already has 11-year-old daughter Lola, and can’t wait to find out whether she’s having boys or girls or one of each at her 20-week scan this month.
Speaking to OK! magazine, she said: “It’s not 100 per cent so we’re waiting for the 20-week scan. It’ll be just before Christmas.”
But, although she’s really excited for the four-month scan, the 39-year-old actress – who is known for portraying pub owner Chastity Dingle in the long-running soap – is too busy focusing on her job to think about her pregnancy too much.
She added: “Yes, it’ll be nice to find out the sex of the babies just before Christmas, but until I break up from work, I can’t think about the rest of it. It would be nice to have a boy and a girl, but we don’t mind as long as they’re healthy.”
And, although her alter ego is currently wrapped up in a big storyline involving her gay son Aaron Livesy (Danny Miller), it’s highly unlikely her pregnancy will wreak havoc for show bosses as she only took three months off work when she gave birth to Lola almost 12 years ago because she’s too much of a “workaholic” to sit at home.
She said: “As soon as I told the bosses at ‘Emmerdale’ I was pregnant they asked me how long I would want on maternity leave. But I just wanted three months and then straight back. I couldn’t afford to have too long off work – I have got two mortgages and a car. Working is a big part of me and my life and I wasn’t happy to stay at home.”
Lucy – who has appeared on ‘Emmerdale’ since 2002 and also competed in ‘I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here!’ in 2013 – was forced to re-juggle her life when she found out she was pregnant with Lola as she and Rudi were initially planning to get married but had no choice but to put their nuptials on hold.

Samuel L. Jackson slams 'Oscar bait movies'

OHMYGOSSIP — Samuel L. Jackson has hit out at “Oscar bait movies”.
The 67-year-old actor insists films such as Will Smith’s ‘Collateral Beauty’ – which tells the story of an ad executive who suffers a great tragedy and seeks answers from life by writing to Love, Time and Death – are clearly attempting to tug at the heart strings of Academy Awards voters.
He said: “There are all these ‘Oscar bait’ movies. I was looking at the trailer for this Will Smith movie the other day and I’m like, really? It’s another one of those, ‘Oh my God, life is so wonderful, take time to sniff the roses.’ ”
Jackson also pointed towards ‘Manchester by the Sea’ and ‘Moonlight’ as movies which could be perceived as white and black films respectively because of the skin colour of the majority of actors and actresses in each of the films.
Speaking at the Dubai International Film Festival, he added: “The politics of what happens during this time of year is very interesting in Hollywood.
“The movies they choose to say are amazing and great, you know – ‘Manchester by the Sea,’ oh my god, you must see it, it’s an amazing film!’ But, eh, I guess it is – to somebody.
“It’s not an inclusive film, you know what I mean? And I’m sure that ‘Moonlight’ will be thought of the same way.
“They’ll say, ‘Well, that’s a black movie. Where are the white people?’ We’ll say the same thing about ‘Manchester by the Sea.'”
Earlier this year, several stars opted to boycott the Oscars over a lack of diversity among the nominees.
But actress Charlotte Rampling later claimed those who planned to boycott the Oscars over the lack of nominations for black people were being “racist to whites”.
She later apologised and clarified her comments, saying: “I simply meant to say that in an ideal world every performance will be given equal opportunities for consideration.
“I am very honoured to be included in this year’s wonderful group of nominated actors and actresses.”

Hugh Jackman took Logan pay cut for R rating

OHMYGOSSIP — Hugh Jackman took a pay cut to ensure ‘Logan’ received an R-rating.
The forthcoming superhero movie’s director James Manghold has revealed the Hollywood star opted to get a reduced salary to help convince 20th Century Fox to keep the film – the third and final installment of the ‘Wolverine’ solo trilogy – at the rating.
Tweeting from this year’s Butt-Numb-A-Thon film marathon, Aint It Cool News’ Eric Vespe wrote: “Mangold said that Hugh Jackman took a salary cut because he wanted to do an R-rated movie.”
R-rated films tend to earn less at the box office because only older viewers can buy tickets as the “R” stands for “Restricted”, meaning anyone under 17 requires an accompanying parent or adult guardian with them.
Fox’s concerns came after ‘Deadpool’ became the highest grossing R-rated movie of all time and the best grossing ‘X-Men’ movie.
‘Logan’ is the 10th motion picture in the ‘X-Men’ series and is slated for release in March 2017.
Jackman will reprise his role as James “Logan” Howlett/ clawed mutant Wolverine for the eighth and final time in the upcoming movie.
The film is set in 2024, when mutant births are in severe decline for an unknown reason.
A government-type organisation called ‘Transigen’ are turning mutant youngsters into killing machines.
Logan is said to be depicted as looking bad, drinking a lot and having his powers fading, while he heals more slowly – sometimes not at all.

Josie Gibson joins The Jump

OHMYGOSSIP — Josie Gibson is set to take part in the forthcoming series of ‘The Jump’.
The former reality star – who won ‘Big Brother’ in 2010 – has become the latest celebrity to agree to slip into her thermals and hit the Austrian slopes for the winter sports show.
Taking to her Twitter account over the weekend, the 31-year-old star said: “I’ve never skied before but I love a challenge!! Please don’t tell me to break a leg ha!”
And, although she doesn’t have much experience on snow, the blonde beauty – who has recently lost lots of weight – is quietly confident that she’ll be an “underdog.”
She said: “It’s a journey I can tell you that ha,” before using the hashtag “underdog.”
However, it seems Josie may need a little more help from the experts if she’s going to plough through to the final as she’s ended up on her bottom during training on the slopes.
Taking to her Instagram account, Josie uploaded a photograph of her laying on her back with her ski poles in the air alongside the caption: “Yep I’m really doing it!! (sic)”.
And Josie will certainly have some stiff competition as she’s up against thrill-seekers Lydia Bright and 31-year-old model Vogue Williams in the forthcoming series.
The 26-year-old beauty previously uploaded a photograph of herself and Vogue in their thermals as they prepared to take to the dry slope.
She wrote: “Here we go, early morning starts. First day of training. Let’s do this boo @voguewilliams @channel4 #TheJump 2017 I love skiing & have defos become an adrenaline junkie as Ive got older Bring on the challenge (sic).”
However, there is some intense pressure this time around as the last series – which hit screens last January – saw gymnast Beth Tweddle break her back, ‘Made in Chelsea’ star Mark-Francis Vandelli fracture his ankle and Rebecca Adlington dislocate her shoulder.
The spike in injuries meant bosses were forced to revisit the risky format and discuss whether it was worth bringing it back for another series at the beginning of next year.
However, after bosses managed to persuade a good amount of stars to take part in the forthcoming series, producers were given the go-ahead to do another installment.

Stephanie Davis was asked to do Celebrity Big Brother

OHMYGOSSIP — Stephanie Davis was asked to take part in the forthcoming series of ‘Celebrity Big Brother’.
The 23-year-old actress caused a stir earlier this year when she cheated on her then-boyfriend Sam Reece with her fellow housemate Jeremy McConnell, with whom she’s expecting a baby, while locked inside the abode and, although bosses have seemingly offered her a mega-money deal to return next month for the ‘All Stars vs. New Stars’ special, she’s refused because her little one – who is due into the world in a few weeks’ time – won’t be old enough.
Taking to her Twitter account on Sunday (11.12.16), she said after rumours began to swirl earlier that day: “Come on now.. I will not be taking part in CBB 2017. It was lovely to be asked but my priorities are my son and being an amazing mummy xx (sic)”
Although she’s snubbed the chance for the sake of her unborn son, the former ‘Hollyoaks’ star – who was left heartbroken in May when she split from Jeremy following a five-month turbulent romance – feels “grateful” for the chance earlier this year because it’s helped shape her.
She said recently: “I acknowledge I was young, had a lot of freedom and made some very bad decisions along the way. The thing is I wouldn’t change any of it…
“It’s made me into the person I am today and for that Im grateful. I have learnt so much on my journey and continue to learn every day (sic).”
Bosses may not have been able to persuade Stephanie to make a return to the series but they’re adamant it’ll still be “explosive” because they have so many amazing celebs lined up.
Lee Ryan, reality TV couple Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt, Katie Hopkins, Jasmine Lennard and former ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ professional James Jordan, who have all appeared in the flamboyant abode in previous years, and newbies Bianca Gascoigne and Danielle Armstrong are set to join this year’s special when it returns to screens on January 3.
