John Altman wants Nasty Nick return

OHMYGOSSIP — John Altman believes his ‘EastEnders’ character Nick Cotton could return from the dead.
The 65-year-old actor was known for playing Nick Cotton – nicknamed Nasty Nick – on the BBC soap from the show’s debut episode in 1985 until his character was killed off in 2015, but has now hinted the character could return as no-one saw Nick’s body.
He told The Sun newspaper: “You never know with soaps, do you? I mean they could get the right storyline – no one ever saw his dead body did they? We will just leave it at that. There’s always open doors and the writers work their magic.”
Nick met his own nasty end during the live 30th anniversary special of the show in February 2015, after he took drugs he claimed “weren’t pure” and died in the arms of his mother Dot Cotton (played by June Brown) who refused to call an ambulance.
It isn’t the first time John has been vocal about his character’s return either, as he previously expressed a wish to move the Walford icon to the Yorkshire village of ‘Emmerdale’ “under a different name”.
He said previously: “I always thought it would be great to see Nick go up to Emmerdale or something under a different name but he is actually the same character.
“He’d be being nice and all the viewers would be going mad because they know he’s evil. I don’t think we could do it now because he’s dead. But is he dead? We never saw the body being carried out of the house.
“There’s something called suspended animation maybe that happened to Nick?”

Ruth Langsford jokes Eamonn Holmes is a steam train in the bedroom

OHMYGOSSIP — Ruth Langsford’s husband Eamonn Holmes is like a “steam train” in the bedroom.
The 57-year-old television personality revealed that she and her spouse – who she co-presents ‘This Morning’ with – still have a very active sex life and he’s particularly amorous on Friday nights.
During a discussion about men’s dancing skills on ITV’s ‘Loose Women’ on Monday afternoon (20.03.17) panellist Jane Moore said that you could tell a lot about what a man is like in the bedroom from their moves on the dancefloor.
Which prompted to Ruth to quip: “Well, if that is the rule my husband is a steam train. As soon as music starts he just goes like a steam train. My husband can be seen to be doing it most Fridays.”
During a later discussion about daily orgasms making you more productive at work and in your life, Ruth – who has been married to the former Sky News Sunrise anchor since 2010 – encouraged ladies to experiment sexually by themselves so they could tell their partners how they need to be pleased in the bedroom.
The 57-year-old star said: “You don’t have to have a man to do that for you. I am making a serious point that if you don’t know what an orgasm feels like how can you expect someone else to provide it for you. You need to know what you are going for and how to get there.”
Ruth and Eamonn – who have 14-year-old son Jack together – have always been honest and open about their sex life.
The couple happily discussed their sex life as they co-hosted ‘This Morning’ back in January.
During a chat with a woman who said she is happy in a sexless marriage, Eamonn said: “Sex is very important to me!”
Ruth then replied: “It’s Friday fun night tonight, darling!”
And then Eamonn quipped that he only had sex once a month, joking with his wife: “There’s only one Friday in the month.”

Binky Felstead's mother tells Josh Patterson about pregnancy

OHMYGOSSIP — Binky Felstead’s mother messaged Josh ‘JP’ Patterson to tell him her daughter was pregnant.
The 26-year-old television personality is expecting her first child with her boyfriend and ‘Made in Chelsea’ co-star, but she has revealed her parent Jane had to reach out to the dark-haired hunk to tell him the news because the pair was not dating at the time.
Speaking about the moment her partner found out about her pregnancy on ITV’s ‘This Morning’ on Monday (20.03.17), the brunette beauty said: “There’s no secret we’ve had our ups and downs … we just happen to live ours out on camera. It can be quite difficult. I found out I was pregnant and we weren’t actually together at the time. My mum was there [when I found out], and she messaged Josh because I was pretty shaken up and Josh came round immediately. She said, ‘Binky’s just taken a pregnancy test, I think you should come over.’ ”
And the 25-year-old reality star has “never” felt the way he did when he was told about the exciting news.
He said: “I can’t describe the feeling. It’s something I’ve never felt before or can describe. The main thing that came into my mind was to make sure this one [Binky] was OK, so it was irrelevant how I was. It was more get round there. There were no cameras, this was very private and personal. And the changes in myself and Binks since finding out this news is what makes it so special.”
However, Binky’s close friend Ollie Locke burst into “happy tears” when she told him she was pregnant.
She said: “He [Ollie] burst into tears, happy tears when he found out [about the baby] he was really excited. I tell all the girls, for real, on camera – I promise – I had to keep it a secret for a long time. There are typical boy reactions and typical girls’ reactions.”
Binky – whose real name is Alexandra – is not nervous about going into labour and is “ready” the arrival of her baby, as she has already renovated her home to accommodate the new addition to her family.
She explained: “I’m not nervous. I feel like we’ve been given a real gift and I’m just really excited to become a little family.
“I do feel ready. The house has been renovated, the nursery is being planned and everything has been bought and it’s really exciting.”

Ofcom won't take action over Coronation Street episode

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Coronation Street’ is not going to be investigated by Ofcom regarding an episode about the current grooming storyline.
An episode of the soap was broadcast by ITV on February 17 which featured 16-year-old schoolgirl Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon) being bedded by the much older salon owner Nathan Curtis after getting drunk in a club and taken back to his house.
Ofcom – also known as the Office of Communications, the government-approved regulatory body for the UK broadcasting, telecommunications and postal industries – has now looked into what was aired by the programme and has decided what featured on screen was “neither graphic nor violent”.
A statement released by the body said: “We assessed complaints about this storyline. We concluded the content was neither graphic nor violent, and took into account Coronation Street’s established role in covering challenging or distressing social issues.”
The NSPCC – the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children – worked with the writers on ‘Coronation Street’ and the cast for the storyline has also released a statement on the episode insisting it is conveying the uncomfortable truths about grooming to the British public.
The charity said: “Soaps play an important part in highlighting abuse, and in giving victims the courage to speak out and in signposting them to help and support. It can make for difficult viewing, but it’s vital this type of abuse is portrayed as realistically as possible. We hope it will raise awareness of the signs of grooming and encourage more victims to come forward and seek help.
“The NSPCC has been working with ‘Coronation Street’ writers to ensure their current grooming storyline gives an accurate reflection of how abusers exploit and manipulate their victims.
“Practitioners from our Protect and Respect service which supports children and young people who have been, or are at risk of being, sexually exploited, provided advice on the language and scenarios and continue to consult on the storyline.”
The NSPCC also revealed that a real-life sex abuse victim, known as ‘Lucie’, bravely shared her story with the actors and writers as they researched grooming.
The statement added: “We are also very grateful to the bravery of Lucie, a victim of child sexual exploitation, who shared her experiences with the writers and actors involved as part of their research for this sensitive storyline.”
An episode of ‘Coronation Street’ which aired last week showed Bethany and Nathan’s assistant Mel (Sonia Ibrahim) – who is being controlled by the domineering and devious character – at a party which was actually the gathering of a sex ring of men.
The uncomfortable scenes prompted numerous posts on social media criticising the storyline and two official complaints to Ofcom which are being investigated.
Harper, 39, previously spoke out to say he hopes the harrowing storyline will shed light on the issue and help more victims of paedophiles find the courage to come forward.
He said: “Nothing can desensitise you to what survivors of sexual exploitation have gone through. It’s the most important storyline I’ve ever had. It’s massively important I get this right for them. We want to reach out to people to let them know help is out there, and to tell abusers they can’t get away with it. Half the problem is getting people to come forward. It’s been said that for every one person reporting abuse, another seven don’t.”

Tom Hollander says he hasn't got over being bullied at school

OHMYGOSSIP — Tom Hollander has admitted that being bullied as a kid still affects him now.
The 49-year-old star of ‘The Night Manager’ has had a string of successful roles including playing the lead in Julian Fellowes’s ‘Doctor Throne’ on ITV, portraying weird chemist Dr. George Cholmondeley in Tom Hardy’s historical drama ‘Taboo’ and being the star and co-writer of sitcom ‘Rev’.
But his journey to adulthood didn’t start well for Tom, who studied for his A Levels at Abingdon School in Oxfordshire, as he was mercilessly bullied at secondary school and even as a man approaching 50 it still influences his life.
In an interview with The Times newspaper, Tom said: “Oh, it sounds like a terrible old cliché, doesn’t it? Let’s revise that. I am probably slightly oversensitive. I take offence slightly too easily if I’m not careful, which I need to stop. Partly it’s a family trait. I’ve just inherited it. I repeatedly get offended by stuff that hasn’t actually happened at all.”
He admits that his emotions go “up and down” in a short cycle which he described as being “very comical” for anyone to witness.
He explained: “I can get very, very low and exhibit all the symptoms that one reads about that can accurately be described as depression, but it can change. It can change in two hours.”
And it’s even got to the point where his change in mood has struck as he’s about to take to the stage.
He recalled: “Sometimes I think it as I’m walking to the theatre and as I’m getting into my costume, and I’m still thinking it as I walk on stage. But as long as you’re feeling something it’s good for the performance.”
But it’s not hindered his acting – in fact he has used his experiences to his advantage – not only can it enhance his performance he’s also used acting to escape his personal issues.
He explained: “To an extent all that stuff is all useful for actors and also we can go into character. It’s a huge relief because you get to be someone else, and the more you are someone else the more you escape yourself. You can apply a Puritan work ethic to escaping, but in life it’s not so helpful.”
Tom returns to the stage in Travesties, which is at the Apollo Theatre, London until April 29.

Charlotte Crosby and Stephen Bear want to wed

OHMYGOSSIP — Charlotte Crosby wants to marry Stephen Bear – and he’s already started planning a proposal.
The two reality TV stars may have only been dating for a short time, but they are already thinking about settling down and even have a timeline in mind for when to have children.
Charlotte said: “I want to spend the rest of my life with Bear.
“I would like him to be the father of my children and I’d like to marry him. He’s The One and the most incredible boyfriend,”
Asked if he will propose, Bear added: “I’ve got a date in mind. I’m full of surprises, but I’m traditional, so I want to speak to her mum and dad first. I’m not going to tell her a date, but it’s closer than you think.”
And 27-year-old Bear – who plans to pop the question with a diamond bear-shaped ring – is keen for Charlotte to get pregnant in December 2018 as he thinks 29 is the right age for him to become a dad.
He told OK! magazine: “Next December I want to impregnate her.
“They’re going to be called Teddy whether it’s a boy or a girl. I’ll be 29 when the baby’s born – that’s a good age.”
But before they can start planning their wedding, the couple are going to move in together this summer – but Charlotte, 26, insists she won’t be paying for their home.
Bear said: “We’ve said we’ll rent together for six months from August. I like Essex but [Charlotte] likes London.”
Charlotte added: “I’ll go where he wants to go. But I’m not going to pay. Is that OK?”
After her boyfriend said he “didn’t care” about paying all the rent, the former ‘Geordie Shore’ star added: “See, that’s a compromise because I’m going where he wants to go so I’m not going to pay. I’ll do the food shopping.”

Paul Hollywood has hit it off with Prue Leith

OHMYGOSSIP — Paul Hollywood says Prue Leith reminds him of his mother-in-law.
The 51-year-old baker – who has 15-year-old son Josh with wife Alexandra – has hit it off with his new ‘Great British Bake Off’ co-judge and thinks they will get on well when they start filming the new series of the show.
He said: “Prue, obviously shes got this huge professional background and I’ve got nothing but respect for her, I’m really looking forward to it.
“We’ve met and had a chat, there’s something there, she reminds me of my mother-in-law in a fantastic way, and I think we’ll get on great.”
Last week, Noel Fielding and Sandi Toksvig were announced as the new hosts of the show and Paul – who was kept in the dark about their appointment – is “really excited” about the line-up for the series.
Speaking on ‘Loose Women’, he said: “I’m really excited because obviously it’s a big thing, the ‘Bake Off’, and when I heard the names read out, I was really excited.
I did know about Prue but I didn’t know about the others at all but its perfect, I’m really, really excited.
“At the end of the day, most people were in the dark, it’s kept very quiet for obvious reasons.”
And Paul admits he was stunned by the huge outcry that followed the news the show was moving to Channel 4 and his fellow judge Mary Berry and presenters Mel & Sue had chosen to leave.
He said: “I was [surprised], there’s some bad stuff going on on the planet, I’m sure we can move on from this.”
Paul couldn’t understand why people were so outraged he’d chosen to stay on the programme because he loves it so much so he never felt walking away was an option.
He said: “They were loyal in their arenas of what they want to do. I’m a different stage of my career and it’s my job, I love doing ‘Bake Off’.
“When it moved channels, my job was always there and I didn’t want to lose it. They gave me a shot seven years ago, why would I let it go
“Mary said, ‘If I was in your shoes I’d have done the same thing.’ ”

Sam Elliott joins cast of A Star Is Born

OHMYGOSSIP — Sam Elliott is to appear in ‘A Star Is Born’ alongside Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper.
The 72-year-old actor – who can currently be seen in Netflix series ‘The Ranch’ – has joined the cast for the latest remake of the story being brought to the big screen by Warner Bros. Pictures.
Shooting is due to start on the project in April and it marks Gaga’s first major feature role and is Cooper’s directorial debut.
The new movie is the fourth production of ‘A Star is Born’, which saw Janet Gaynor and Fredric March star in the 1937 original.
Judy Garland and James Mason appeared in another version in 1954, while the most recent movie, in 1976, saw Barbra Streisand and Kris Kristofferson in the lead roles.
Cooper’s interpretation – based on a script by ‘Forrest Gump’ writer Eric Roth – is set to give a new look at the story of a singer who sees her fame rise as quickly as her troubled lover-and-mentor’s star falls.
Elliott is to play the character Bobby, who is the kind manager to Cooper’s alcoholic movie star who encourages Gaga’s alter ego to achieve her dream of stardom, but fails to succeed himself.
Elliott can next be seen in independent movie ‘The Hero’, which sees him reunite with his ‘I’ll See You in My Dreams’ director Brett Haley.
Clint Eastwood was responsible for reviving the story and always wanted Cooper in the main role and as the director after working with him on ‘American Sniper’. The 86-year-old Hollywood legend has now stepped away from his proposed role as a producer.
For Gaga, the role comes off the back of her huge success in TV thriller ‘American Horror Story: Hotel’, for which she picked up a Golden Globe for best actress in a mini-series.
‘A Star Is Born’ has a planned September 2018 release date.

Adam Rickitt joins Hollyoaks

OHMYGOSSIP — Adam Rickitt has joined ‘Hollyoaks’.
The former ‘Coronation Street’ star will make his first appearance as Kyle, the ex-boyfriend of Nancy Osbourne (Jessica Fox), in April and is “really happy” with his new role.
Kyle will bump into his old flame at a support meeting for people who have multiple sclerosis (MS) and soap bosses have suggested he’ll also have connections to other people in the village.
He said: “I am really happy to be joining Hollyoaks. I’ve had a lot of friends work on the show throughout the years and they’ve all told me what an amazing place it is to work so it’s really good to be a part of such a welcoming crowd.
“They key interest for me was in the storylines lined up for Kyle. I think they are amazing, taking the character on a real journey and something I am really enjoying playing a part in. Fingers crossed the audience like the surprises as they keep coming.”
While the news of Adam’s casting has only just broken, he has been filming the soap for some time.
He tweeted: “Morning!! Been filming for 2 months and loving every second…you wouldn’t believe the storylines that are coming! (sic)”
Adam recently spoke about his old role as Nick Tilsley on ‘Corrie’, admitting he gets jealous whenever he sees Ben Price, who currently plays the character, on screen with Jane Danson as Leanne Battersby.
He said: “The Platts are the stalwarts of the show. I will say that I get a bit jealous when I see Nick with Leanne. I’m like, ‘That’s my wife! I married her!'”

Olivia Colman and David Tennant planning pantomime

OHMYGOSSIP — Olivia Colman and David Tennant are planning their own pantomime.
The ‘Broadchurch’ co-stars will continue working together once the popular ITV crime drama draws to a close after the current series as they are teaming up for their very own comedy musical stage show, which Olivia, 43, says she and the 45-year-old hunk will write together and hopefully star in.
According to the Daily Star newspaper, Olivia said: “We do have plans to work together again – we think it would be fun to do something like a panto.
“We would have to put us in it to play the Ugly Sisters.”
Olivia – who portrays Detective Sargent Ellie Miller in ‘Broadchurch’ – clearly didn’t find it difficult working with David, who recently admitted he was like a “grumpy old man” when he was shooting the hit show.
The nation may be preparing itself for mourning when the third installment – the final series to ever hit screens – comes to an end next month, but David – who plays DI Alec Hardy in the crime drama – admitted he was glad it’s almost over because he was sick of having to keep the storylines and scripts under lock and key for most of the year.
He recently said: “This is it. I think we should do three and leave them wanting more.
“It’s always been the way. Anything that’s a thriller has elements you want to hold back. Being on the show gets really tiresome because everything is sent with a password. One script has one password, another has another password. I just can’t keep up. I end up being a grumpy old man saying ‘just send me some paper!'”

Vogue Williams: 'The Jump is one of the best things I've done'

OHMYGOSSIP — Vogue Williams had an “incredible time” on ‘The Jump’ regardless of her injury.
The 31-year-old model was forced to pull out of the winter sports competition after she injured her right knee, and despite having to undergo an operation on her limb she doesn’t regret the experience and has still praised the show as “one of the best things” she has ever done.
Speaking about the Channel 4 programme to the Metro newspaper, the golden haired beauty said: “I had an incredible time [on ‘The Jump’]. I know it gets bad press because of the injuries but it’s a sports show and people do it because they’re really into it. I learned so many new skills. It’s one of the best things I’ve done.”
The Irish model underwent a painful procedure in a bid to “get back to normal”, which saw part of her hamstring transferred to her injured right knee, she has admitted it wasn’t “essential” for her to have the surgery.
She said: “I had the operation a couple of weeks ago and I’ll be off crutches soon. The surgery wasn’t essential but because I like skiing and bungee jumping U wanted to do it so I could get back to normal.”
However, Vogue has not been fazed by the accident and has already signed up to next year’ series.
Speaking previously, the DJ – who was formerly married to Brian McFadden – said: “Yes I’ve already signed up for next series. I can’t wait to try again. Having to pull out injured hasn’t put me off at all. If anything it’s made me more determined to win next time.”

Ben Wheatley couldn't care less about High-Rise walkouts

OHMYGOSSIP — Ben Wheatley couldn’t care less if people walkout of his new movie ‘High-Rise’.
The 44-year-old English director’s dystopian drama is based on
J.G. Ballard’s novel of the same name and the story is set in the UK in an alternate 1970s in a tower block which is for the rich and privileged whom become disinterested in the outside world and society due to the conveniences on offer.
Wheatley’s film follows Tom Hiddleston’s character, neurologist Dr. Robert Laing, as the apartment block descends into chaos
The movie has proven to be divisive as there have been reports of viewers walking out of screenings while reviews have veered from glowing to critical, with some writers describing it as “pointless and pretentious”.
Speaking at the Three Empire Awards on Sunday (20.03.17), when asked what he thought about the walk-outs, Wheatley replied: “Well, I couldn’t give a f**k!”
He was then asked if that was all he had to say on the matter, and he replied: “Absolutely!”
As well as Hiddleston, the film also stars Jeremy Irons, Sienna Miller,
Luke Evans, Elisabeth Moss, James Purefoy, Keeley Hawes and Augustus Prew.
Although Wheatley is being bullish about the walkouts now, he has previously admitted that a reaction like that can be “bruising” to his ego.
He said: “There’s walkouts, but what kind of an idiot walks out of a film? I don’t think I’ve ever walked out of a movie. I’ve always made the movies for me and that sounds arrogant, but I understand there’s an audience that’s like me and I play to that audience. My gamble is that it’s big enough to support the film.”
On the world premiere walkouts he added: “It can be bruising on the day, but it’s fine. I get worried that one day you’ll make a film nobody will go and see. But at least people are passionate about it.”
Wheatley attended the Empire Awards as ‘High-Rise’ was nominated for Best British Film but lost out to ‘I, Daniel Blake’.
However, Wheatley did not leave the ceremony at The Roundhouse in London empty-handed as ‘The Greasy Strangler’ – on which he acted as executive producer – was named Best Comedy.

Ryan Reynolds and Jake Gyllenhaal fear alien attack

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Life’ stars Jake Gyllenhaal and Ryan Reynolds would be useless if they had to battle a real-life alien invasion.
The two actors appear together in the sci-fi thriller, in which they must battle an aggressive extraterrestrial organism from Mars.
Although Ryan, 40, and Jake, 36, display heroic qualities in the movie they don’t think they’d put up much of a fight if little green men from outer space decided to conquer Earth.
Speaking at the world premiere of ‘Life’, held at SXSW in Austin, Texas, Ryan – who plays Roy Adams in the film – said: “If this happened to me, I’m not qualified for this. I spent 30 minutes working on a microwave a few days ago.”
And Jake – who portrays David Jordan – confirmed he’d be no good in that situation either. He added: “Seriously, I find treadmills complicated, so I don’t know that I’d be able to survive on the International Space Station if a creature attacked.”
But one thing that the pair did do well was have great camaraderie on set – although these elements are missing from the finished edit.
Co-star Rebecca Ferguson said: “I realised [after seeing it] that the film that I saw is not the film I shot. On set it was a sort of very homey, fun environment, a lot of jokes.”
Jake agreed, describing the set “a wonderful place to be” despite the fear-filled plot.
He shared: “We were laughing all the time. None of us takes ourselves that seriously, so there was a really wonderful spirit on set all the time.”
‘Life’ follows a team of scientists aboard the International Space Station, whose mission of discovery turns to one of survival when they begin to conduct experiments a rapidly evolving lifeform that could have caused extinction on Mars, and now threatens the crew and all life on Earth.
Director David Espinosa has likened the film to Sir Ridley Scott’s 1979 sci-fi horror classic ‘Alien’ but pointed out one key distinction that he hopes audiences make.
He added: “The realism of [‘Life’] makes it different than other movies. Alien takes place 200 years into the future – this one could take place tomorrow.”
Also starring in ‘Life’ are Olga Dihovichnaya, Ariyon Bakare and Hiroyuki Sanada, while ‘Deadpool’ writers Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese penned the screenplay.

Beauty and the Beast enjoys record-breaking opening weekend

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Beauty and the Beast’ achieved record-breaking ticket sales on its opening weekend.
The new Bill Condon-directed Disney movie made as much as $170 million in ticket sales during its opening weekend in North America, breaking a number of records en route, including surpassing ‘Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice’ for the biggest March opening.
Greg Foster, chief executive of IMAX’s filmed entertainment, told the New York Times newspaper: “The world is a pretty cynical place right now, and ‘Beauty and the Beast’ gave audiences an opportunity to go back to a time of innocence.”
The live-action movie, which stars the likes of Emma Watson and Dan Stevens, collected an additional $180 million in ticket sales outside North America, meaning it could earn $1 billion in worldwide ticket sales by the end of its run, according to industry experts.
Emma, 26, fulfilled a long-held ambition in getting to play the part of Belle in ‘Beauty and the Beast’ and the English actress recently admitted she can relate to her on-screen character because she “breaks the mould”.
Emma said: “She’s trying to move beyond the expectations that people have for her. I think everyone thinks that marrying Gaston would be the most wonderful happy ending possible, and she wants more for herself.
“She’s going against the grain and against the status quo and that’s not easy to do.”
The former ‘Harry Potter’ star also explained how Belle breaks the mould of traditional Disney characters.
Emma said: “I think she was meant to be a departure from the Disney princesses that had come before her. She’s actually loosely based on Katherine Hepburn, she was written by a woman called Linda Woolverton. She was meant to break the mould so I felt very connected to her.
“Actually, Belle isn’t a princess. She’s the only Disney princess who actually isn’t a princess.”

Kym Marsh was 'utterly lost' after son Archie's death

OHMYGOSSIP — Kym Marsh was left “utterly lost” after the death of her son Archie.
The ‘Coronation Street’ star was devastated in 2009 when her son Archie passed away moments after being born prematurely after just 21 weeks.
Recently, Kym has had to relive the traumatic experience as her character on the ITV soap Michelle Connor lost her son Ruairi at 23 weeks, and almost killed herself as a result.
Now, the brunette beauty says that she sympathises with her character, as she believes things could have been much worse for her if she didn’t have her children David and Emilie – who were 13 and 11 respectively at the time – to help her through the grieving process.
Opening up about her experiences, Kym said: “After Archie died I was utterly lost. I never got to the point of thinking about taking my own life, but I don’t know how I might have felt if I hadn’t had two young children and a good support network around me.
“I know that others who have lost children have found themselves in the same situation as Michelle. I can totally understand how people feel like they can’t carry on. When I lost Archie, all I could think was, ‘Why has this happened to me?’
“I had carried a baby for nearly six months and yet what did I have? What was the point in it all? Archie wasn’t even weighed, I don’t know why, and he didn’t have a birth certificate. All I had was a leaflet they gave me when I left hospital.
“It feels so pointless that you can’t stand it, and you do lose yourself. I didn’t want to go outside, I didn’t want to see anyone, I didn’t want to hear anyone laughing. How could anyone laugh when my son has died? I just wanted to stay hidden away forever. But you do learn to accept it and move forward.
“And I’m lucky to have three amazing kids. David and Emilie are grown up now and Polly is a little whirlwind and a delight.”
And Kym admits she was told at the time of the plot – which took place in January – that she didn’t have to go through with it, but wanted to take on the challenge in “honour” of Archie.
She added to The Sun newspaper: “When Kate Oates, the executive producer, first spoke to me about the story she made it clear I didn’t have to go through with it.
“But I’m always saying this subject shouldn’t be taboo and should be talked about. Talking about it is the thing that makes it easier to accept.
“I wanted to help women like me, and I wanted to honour Archie. I knew it would be really painful but this is an issue that affects thousands of families every year and it’s something that often isn’t talked about.
“But we both felt if we were going to do the storyline, we should really do it.
“I wanted to show people all of those little things that really hurt me. Michelle heard other babies crying on the ward, and that’s exactly what happened to me.
“It was also important her son’s death was called not a birth, but a ‘late miscarriage’ because that is what happens.”

Paul O'Grady reveals how Cilla Black influenced his Blind Date U-turn

OHMYGOSSIP — Paul O’Grady accepted the chance to present ‘Blind Date’ as a tribute to Cilla Black.
The 61-year-old TV host was recently announced as the new presenter of the programme, and Paul has admitted to performing a U-turn on his original decision to reject the offer because Cilla, his good friend and former host of the show, would have been “screaming with laughter”.
He said: “When they asked me I said no, because it’s so firmly associated with Cilla.
“Then I had a think and I had a mental image of her sitting on the couch with a glass of champagne, screaming with laughter.”
Paul also confessed that Cilla’s son Robert played a major role in him changing his mind.
He told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “The producers said it felt like a natural progression and her son Robert said she’d be over the moon, so I said ‘Yeah, go on, I’ll do it’.”
Cilla – who passed away in 2015, aged 72 – presented the iconic dating show on ITV from 1985 to 2003.
And Paul has promised that the revamped version, which is set to air on Channel 5 this summer, will remain true to the original programme.
He explained: “The thing about ‘Blind Date’ is that it was funny. It wasn’t about night-cams and what goes on under the covers and all that business they do now. You’ve got to show it respect and do it right.”
Paul also said he was determined not to let Cilla down.
He shared: “It was such a popular show, it’s not something you can mess with. You’ve got to be true to it and that’s what I intend to do. I wouldn’t want to let her down.”
