Stephanie Davis will be 'happy again' with Jeremy McConnell

OHMYGOSSIP — Stephanie Davis is convinced she and Jeremy McConnell will be “happy again” once he’s completed his six-week stint in rehab for drug and alcohol addiction.
The 24-year-old actress has vowed to stand by her man – who she rekindled her romance with earlier this year following the birth of their three-month-old son Caben – while he’s receiving treatment for his demons and has asked him to move in with her in Liverpool when he’s released so she can help keep him on the straight and narrow.
A source told Closer magazine: “Steph believes all the problems in their relationship were down to Jeremy’s drinking and drug-taking. She’s convinced that once he gets professional help, they’ll be able to be happy again.
“As soon as Jeremy leaves rehab, she wants him to move to Liverpool where she can keep a close eye on him and make sure he doesn’t slip back into old habits.”
And, although their relationship still needs a lot of work, the former ‘Hollyoaks’ star thinks she’ll get her “fairy tale” ending one day and wants to wed the Irish heartthrob.
The insider explained: “After everything they’ve been through, Steph is dreaming of a fairy-tale ending and that includes getting married. She believes a wedding would mark a fresh start and be the perfect chance to put the past behind them.”
The currently-on couple struck up a relationship last January after they met and fell in love while competing on ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ but things came crashing down just five months later when the brunette beauty found out Jeremy had cheated.
She then found out a few weeks later – after their split – that she was pregnant.
The 27-year-old heartthrob spent Stephanie’s pregnancy denying that Caben was his but discovered – via a paternity test – four weeks after his birth that the little one does belong to him and he agreed to step up to the mark for his innocent child.
After getting back in contact and spending more time together, the pair decided to give their romance another go but they split up yet again just a few weeks ago.

Richard Gere's views affected career

OHMYGOSSIP — Richard Gere admits his support for Tibet has hindered his career.
The 67-year-old actor broke from his script when presenting at the 1993 Academy Awards in order to protest China’s occupation of the Far Eastern region and slammed its “horrendous, horrendous human rights situation” and later called for a boycott of the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
And because China now has the world’s second-biggest box-office market, Richard – who has a lifetime ban from the country – admits his big screen appeal has dramatically reduced in the eyes of studios.
He said: “There are definitely movies that I can’t be in because the Chinese will say, ‘Not with him.’
“I recently had an episode where someone said they could not finance a film with me because it would upset the Chinese.”
In 1997, Richard appeared as a US businessman wrongly accused of murder in China in ‘Red Corner’, and while executives were initially happy with the film, it was suddenly dumped.
He recalled to the Hollywood Reporter: “Everyone was happy with the film.
“I get calls from the heads of the studio. Went on Oprah. Then, out of nowhere, I get calls saying, ‘We don’t want you doing press.’
“MGM wanted to make an overall deal with the Chinese. China told them, ‘If you release this film, we’re not buying it.’ And so, they dumped it.”
And on another occasion, the ‘Pretty woman’ actor was ousted from an independent, non-studio movie because of his forthright views.
He said: “There was something I was going to do with a Chinese director, and two weeks before we were going to shoot, he called saying, ‘Sorry, I can’t do it.’
“We had a secret phone call on a protected line. If I had worked with this director, he, his family would never have been allowed to leave the country ever again, and he would never work.”
But Richard insists he doesn’t care about being snubbed for Hollywood blockbusters as he still enjoys his work.
He said: “The studios are interested in the possibility of making huge profits. But I’m still making the same films that I was making when I started. Small, interesting, character‑driven and narrative‑driven stories. It hasn’t impacted my life at all.”

Rosamund Pike to play war reporter Marie Colvin in bipoic

OHMYGOSSIP — Rosamund Pike is to portray war reporter Marie Colvin in an upcoming biopic.
The 38-year-old actress is to star in director Matthew Heineman’s upcoming movie about the US journalist, who braved danger to report from the frontline in conflict zones such as Chechnya, Kosovo, Sierra Leone, Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka.
The ‘Gone Girl’ is expected to wear an eye patch for part of the role, after Colvin lost her left eye due to a blast by a Sri Lankan Army rocket-propelled grenade in 2001 whilst crossing the field to a Government controlled area.
The war reporter lost her life in 2012 at the age of 56 during a rocket attack whilst she was covering the civil war in Syria for the Sunday Times newspaper.
The script, penned by Arash Amel, is based on a 2012 Vanity Fair article, written by Marie Brenner, entitled ‘Marie Colvin’s Private War’
Meanwhile, producing is Thunder Road Pictures’ Basil Iwanyk and Kamala Films’ Marissa McMahon, as well as Denver & Delilah Films. Erica Lee is executive producer.
Production is planned for an October start in both the UK and Middle East.
Pike has just wrapped on filming Scott Cooper’s ‘Hostiles’ opposite Christian Bale and Ben Foster.
She recently admitted she barely spoke to Bale on the set of the period drama.
She said: “He is intense in a wonderful way. We barely spoke off screen. He would keep a distance. Our characters in ‘Hostiles’ are quite dysfunctional but have this profound connection that we let happen without ever really talking about it.”
She added: “I loved working with Christian because of this strange thing where we didn’t really communicate, but yet I knew I could throw anything at him and he was just there. I would work with him again, any actress would.”
In addition Pike stars in upcoming Jose Padilha-directed ‘Entebbe’ opposite Daniel Bruhl and the Brad Anderson-directed ‘High Wire Act’ opposite Jon Hamm.
And she most recently starred with David Oyelowo in ‘A United Kingdom’.

OHMYGOSSIP — Gemma Oaten has teased that she’s set to get her contract extended on ‘Holby City’.
The 32-year-old actress received rave reviews when she made her debut as agency nurse Sydney Somers in the medical drama last week and has hinted that there may be an opportunity for her loveable alter ego to make a return to the hospital wards.
She told the Express.co.uk: “I’d love to be a regular. From the feedback that I had [it sounds positive] but you’ve just got to leave it in the hands of the Gods, I suppose.”
And, although she only made her entrance last week, Nurse Somers has already managed to ruffle a few feathers on the ward – particularly Fletch (Alex Walkinshaw).
And it looks like things are only set to get more heated between the co-workers.
She explained: “Expect Fletch to be absolutely gobsmacked when Sydney does walk back into the ward. As far as he’s aware she’s got no more shifts there.”
The former ‘Emmerdale’ star – who was known for playing tracksuit-loving mother Rachel Breckle in the ITV soap – announced she was making a guest appearance in the medical drama last year when she uploaded a photograph from her first date of set.
Taking to her Twitter account just after she arrived on set, the brunette beauty uploaded a photograph of her dressing room with her name on it and accompanied it with the caption: “Hello #holbycity Feeling one of the luckiest & loving every minute! Can’t say anything more #happy #actress #dreambig (sic)”
Gemma isn’t the first person from ‘Emmerdale’ to join a medical drama as her former co-star Chelsea Halfpenny now has a permanent role in ‘Casualty’.
The 25-year-old actress appeared in the popular show, which is set in the same hospital as ‘Holby City’, last year as trainee doctor Alicia Munroe before her alter ego fled the department as she felt bullied by consultant Lily Chao (Crystal Yu).
She then returned to the hospital this year after her parents divorced and she has certainly made her mark on the male staff thus far.

Ferne McCann urges her boyfriend to co-operate with police investigation

OHMYGOSSIP — Ferne McCann has urged her boyfriend Arthur Collins to “co-operate fully” with police following an acid attack at a nightclub in London.
The police are eager to speak to Arthur about the attack at Mangle nightclub, where 20 victims were doused with a corrosive substance.
A representative for Ferne said: “Ferne is aware that the police wish to speak to Arthur Collins and the nature of the accusations against him.
“Obviously these are highly shocking and Ferne has co-operated with the police in their inquiries. She was not with Arthur on Sunday night; was not at Mangle; and has no direct knowledge of the events that unfolded.”
Ferne, 26, has implored her boyfriend to go to a police station to discuss the incident with officers.
The rep continued: “As much as anybody she wants to know the truth and urges Arthur to co-operate fully with the police and attend a police station immediately.”
Meanwhile, a statement from the Metropolitan Police read: “Arthur Collins, 25, of Hertfordshire is wanted for questioning by police. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is urged to contact with investigators. He should not be approached by members of the public. If seen the public are advised to call 999 immediately.”
The drama unfolded shortly after Ferne – who met Arthur on Instagram last summer – admitted she and her partner have already discussed the possibility of getting married.
The ‘This Morning’ presenter said: “We’ve spoken about our wedding. We want to get married on a beach. I want it to be a party and a celebration.
“I want these long extensions, mermaid-style hair covering my breasts, with flowers in my hair and no shoes. He can wear shorts and a shirt undone, then we want an amazing DJ with bongos and a saxophonist.”

Paul O'Grady wants to be closer to Cilla Black

OHMYGOSSIP — Paul O’Grady thinks hosting ‘Blind Date’ will bring him closer to Cilla Black again.
The 61-year-old presenter was left devastated when his friend passed away in 2015, and he can see himself “morphing into” his old friend now he is to front her old show, which is being revived after 14 years off screen.
He said: “The reason I want to do it is I don’t want it to be messed up. I might mess it up but then it’s my fault and I’ll give it my best shot. ‘Blind Date’ was funny and that’s what we need to get back to. The laugh we’ll have with some of the contestants… And doing it means I’m sort of close to her again. I can hear her now, ‘Come on, Paul.’ I’ll morph into her. I know I will. I can see it happening. Her son Robert is all for it and he said to me, ‘If Mother was alive, she’d be over the bloody moon’. ”
And Paul is adamant Cilla will still be very much a part of the show.
He added: “I can get away with saying things about her because we’re mates. Somebody who didn’t know her couldn’t do that because it might be seen as disrespectful. I can say, ‘She left me this in her will. Thanks, Cilla.’
“You can’t ignore her. It was such an iconic show and she was synonymous with it. It would be disrespectful not to mention her.
“The old girl will be living on. I’m really looking forward to it.”
Paul is proud the show will be embracing “diversity” and will feature same-sex couples, as well as older people looking for love.
Asked if there’ll be same sex couples, he told heat magazine: “We’ve moved on now, haven’t we? I didn’t even have to fight for that, they were all for it. We’ve got the over-70s too. You name it, we’ve got it. We’ve gone big time for diversity.”

The 49-year-old television personality and fitness fanatic, who once claimed she beat a cheetah in a race, has aspirations to teach the high impact static cycle exercise class and is said to be weighing up running her own sessions later this year.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “Davina loves her exercise, but this shows how big a part it plays in her life.
“Walking into a class and seeing her is bound to give anyone that extra motivation.
“The course will take up a lot of her time, so it’s still something she is weighing up for later in the year but Davina has proven she won’t shy away from a challenge.”
The former ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ host’s plans will come as no surprise to her husband Matthew Robertson – with whom she has daughters Holly, 15, Tilly 13, and son Chester, 10 – as the brunette beauty and her spouse of 17 years enjoy time alone exercising with one another.
She recently said: “We love sharing a hobby together.
“We don’t have to motivate each other to exercise – whether that’s going out on the bikes or to the gym together – because it’s become part of our lives.”
Even hanging out with her friends turns to fitness.
She said: “If I have three girlfriends round at once, it kind of turns into a class. I come over all Jane Fonda.”
Davina – who has released a whole host of fitness DVDs, including the most recent ‘Davina: 30 Day Fat Burn’ – previously shared how she sped past a cheetah, one of the fastest animals in the world, to record a narrow victory over the plodding puss during filming for the factual series ‘Life At The Extreme’.
She said: “My fitness did help, especially with things like racing a cheetah in the first episode!
“I actually beat him, even if it was by one second.”

Kurt Russell loved working with Sylvester Stallone

OHMYGOSSIP — Kurt Russell relished working with Sylvester Stallone on ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2’.
The 66-year-old actor has joined a star-studded cast for the much-anticipated sequel to the 2014 hit, and Kurt has admitted he especially enjoyed starring alongside Sylvester, who plays the role of Starhawk in the new movie.
He said: “I was just talking to Sylvester Stallone, who’s one of my favourite people, and he loved doing what he did in this movie too.”
Kurt also revealed he enjoyed working with actor Michael Rooker, having previously appeared alongside him in the Western ‘Tombstone’.
Kurt shared: “It’s been fun seeing Michael Rooker again. We did ‘Tombstone’ together, and I haven’t seen Michael since then. So there were a lot of positives in this project for me.”
Earlier this week, meanwhile, director James Gunn revealed the second movie in the Marvel series will barely feature the colour purple, because he was keen to distinguish it from the first film.
James explained: “I wanted to make the second movie have a very distinct visual look that was much different than the first movie.
“One of the first things I did was ban the use of the colour purple.
“There’s purple in the movie, but there’s very little purple in the movie. Because purple was by far the dominant colour in the first movie.
“This movie is more about yellow and blue and teal and orange.
“But I also really wanted to up the ante with the pulp elements.
“So we harken back a lot to 1950s/60s pulp novel colours and that look of ‘Flash Gordon’ – both the 1980s version and the earlier comics. Really grabbing onto this pulp feeling and bringing it alive in a bright, big, colourful way was important.”

Lucy, who is dating salesman Tom Leech, told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “My mum watches it but I don’t think my dad can watch it at the moment. And my boyfriend doesn’t watch because he finds it too uncomfortable. I find it uncomfortable to watch because it’s me in it.
“She does end up sleeping with Neil and it upset me because she’s saying no and ‘I’m not that kind of girl’ and he just lays her on the bed. I had to cry and it was like ‘oh this is horrible’. I could really put myself in that mindset, I think you kind of have to otherwise you’re not doing it properly.”
Although she knows she’s only acting, the blonde beauty has admitted she really struggles to detach herself from the emotional scenes once filming wraps up and tries to do so by listening to music.

Binky Felstead has named her unborn child

OHMYGOSSIP — Binky Felstead has already named her unborn child.
The ‘Made in Chelsea’ star isn’t due to welcome her little bundle of joy into the world with her partner Josh ‘JP’ Patterson for another few months but the on/off pair – who are currently back on – have already chosen their daughter’s moniker and middle name.
Binky’s best friend Ollie Locke told OK! magazine: “I think she is going to go mid-range. She’ll do classic. I do actually know the baby’s name. I even know the middle names. When she was seven weeks pregnant she came round to my flat for a drink and she gave me the baby scan. I burst into tears.”
Although his best friend is happily settled with her beau and baby, Ollie is desperate to find someone of his own to love and to hate.
He explained: “I think everyone wants the same happily ever after. I’m not looking for a complete fairy tale. I want the dramas in between too, as otherwise it’ll be terribly boring. I’m looking for someone that I love and hate. Someone who I can have an argument with but still know that I want to spend the rest of my life with them.”
The socialite came out as bisexual a few years ago but realised last summer that he was actually only interested in dating men following a string of failed romances.
Ollie said: “It was one of the most difficult things because I didn’t know my sexuality but I wanted to put it on the show. It was a big decision to talk about it. Bisexuality wasn’t talking about in the same way six years ago. People didn’t understand it and people didn’t particularly like it. The ridicule I got from not saying I was gay immediately was unreal. It was judged highly. It wasn’t fair.”

Dwayne Johnson is reportedly set to star in Fast and Furious 9

OHMYGOSSIP — Dwayne Johnson is reportedly set to star in ‘Fast and Furious 9’.
The 44-year-old actor is rumoured to reprise his role as Luke Hobbs in the action movie franchise in the next instalment according to TMZ, and despite claims him and his co-star Vin Diesel, who portrays Dominic Torreto in the films, clashed on set they are both believed to be “1000 per cent” up for a follow up in the future.
In the latest thriller film ‘Fate of the Furious’ Hobbs rejects the offer to have his position as Diplomatic Security Service (DSS) back and instead decides to be more committed to his parenting duties by spending more time with his on-screen daughter, which left the audience questioning whether the muscular hunk’s character would make a return again.
The news Johnson – who was known as The Rock when he was a professional wrestler – and his 49-year-old colleague were at loggerheads with one another whilst filming the recent production came after the ‘Moana’ star slammed his “male co-stars” in August last year for not acting like “true professionals”, and it is believed the post was directed to Diesel.
The Instagram comment read: “This is my final week of shooting #FastAndFurious8. There’s no other franchise that gets my blood boiling more than this one. An incredible hard working crew. UNIVERSAL has been great partners as well. My female co-stars are always amazing and I love ’em.
“My male co-stars however are a different story. Some conduct themselves as stand up men and true professionals, while others don’t. The ones that don’t are too chicken s**t to do anything about it anyway. Candy asses. When you watch this movie next April and it seems like I’m not acting in some of these scenes and my blood is legit boiling – you’re right. (sic).”
However, TMZ have since reported the two actors have put their feud to rest after having a number of private conversations with one another.

Mark Hamill says fans thought first film was joke

OHMYGOSSIP — Mark Hamill said fans who saw the first ‘Star Wars’ film thought it was a joke.
The 65-year-old actor, who starred as Jedi Knight Luke Skywalker in the three original sci-fi films, said fans laughed at the cinematic debut of ‘A New Hope’ back in 1977.
Mark told The Hollywood Reporter “At the end of the trailer it said: ‘a billion light years in the making. And it’s coming to your galaxy this summer.’ Somebody in the balcony yelled out: ‘yeah and it’s coming to the Late Show two weeks after that’.”
The actor, who was at the screening with his now-late co-star Carrie Fisher, who played Princess Leia, said they both giggled with the crowd but also said they were horrified.
Mark has recently returned to the ‘Star Wars’ franchise for the 2015 ‘The Force Awakens’ and will be starring in the upcoming ‘The Last Jedi’.
However the actor has said he has one regret about the 2015 film which is he wishes his character came to the rescue of Princess Leia after the death of Han Solo, played by Harrison Ford.
Speaking to website www.fandango.com, he admitted: “When I was reading it, I thought if Leia is trying to mentally contact me and she is unsuccessful, she’ll rush to his [Han’s] aid and get into some dire situation, and that’s when I show up.
“I save her life, and then we rush to Han, and then we are in the same position that Rey and Finn and Chewie are — too late to save him, but witnesses.”
Meanwhile, Mark has said that his character could turn to the dark side in new movie ‘The Last Jedi’.
Speaking at the Star Wars Celebration in Florida over the weekend, he teased: “It’s possible, anything’s possible.”
Mark also admitted that he doesn’t agree with “everything” that has been decided for his character by producer Rian Johnson in the forthcoming film.
