Frenchy Morgan demands £100k for CBB return

OHMYGOSSIP — Angélique ‘Frenchy’ Morgan wants to return to ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ – but only if she’s paid £100,000.
The controversial 41-year-old model – who appeared on the reality TV show in 2014 but became the third contestant to get the boot – has admitted she’d jump at the chance to head back into the infamous abode when the series returns to screens this summer but bosses will need to fork out a huge sum.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper, she said: “I have no regrets. I’m really happy I did that show. It was fun and crazy. I would say yes if the money is right…
“I would love to do that show again, but they would have to offer me a lot more than last time… [They will have to give me] between £50,000 and £100,000 – last time they gave me £20,000.”
However, although she’s interested in a higher pay packet this time around, the blonde bombshell can’t praise the producers enough because they really do pull out all of the stops to keep contestants happy.
She said of her previous stint three years ago: “My plane ticket was £25,000, first class… I had a driver everywhere. They treat the stars very well.”
Frenchy was initially rumoured to be taking part in the last series of the programme ‘All Stars vs. New Stars’, which saw previous contestants join new faces in the infamous abode but, considering her current demands, it’s believed bosses probably didn’t offer her a high enough sum to do the show.
A source said just weeks before the special hit television screens: “This time she is thinking bigger and better. She wants to make a serious impact on the house so she’s planning all kinds of tricks to wind them up. She knows the key to driving everyone crazy is through a lack of sleep or food so she’ll be sure to lose tacks on purpose and create havoc late at night.”

Margot Robbie to play Queen Elizabeth I

OHMYGOSSIP — Margot Robbie is in talks to play Queen Elizabeth I in ‘Mary Queen of Scots’.
The 26-year-old actress – who was born and raised in Australia – has been approached by movie executives to play the late royal, who died in 1603, in the upcoming drama film opposite Saoirse Ronan, who will portray the titular character.
The big screen project, which is being directed by Josie Rourke and is expected to go into production this year, is based on the true story of Mary Stuart’s attempt to overthrow her cousin Elizabeth’s seat on the English throne, which, ultimately, led to her being condemned to years in prison before facing execution, Variety reports.
Meanwhile, the Australian beauty certainly has a busy schedule coming up as not only has she got the royalty film in her pipeline but she’s also set to play Maid Marian in an alternate version of ‘Robin Hood’.
She will work from a script that had been at the centre of an intense bidding war, before it was secured by Sony and producers Donald De Line and Amy Pascal.
Margot has starred in a series of big-budget movies since her breakthrough appearance in ‘The Wolf of Wall Street’ in 2013, when she appeared alongside Oscar-winning actor Leonardo DiCaprio.
Since then, the blonde beauty has featured in ‘Suicide Squad’, ‘The Legend of Tarzan’ and ‘Focus’.
Margot previously admitted that her relatively modest upbringing in Australia has helped to fuel her professional drive.
The actress and her three siblings were raised by their single mother – and Margot revealed not having much as a child encouraged her to work harder in order to realise her ambitions.
She previously said: “I went to a school where all of my friends were very well-off, and I went to their houses a lot, and so I knew what it looked like to be rich but I didn’t have it, so I was like: ‘OK – I know exactly what I want.'”
Margot explained how working a number of jobs during her youth gave her the confidence to pursue her ambitions.
She said: “The whole fake-it-till-you-make-it thing has really worked out for me.
“The more times you do that, the more you realise that no one really knows what they’re doing; everyone’s kind of figuring it out or pretending they know until they do know. And you can apply that to anything – you just have to hustle.”

Cara Delevingne rejected for Alice in Wonderland

OHMYGOSSIP — Cara Delevingne was turned down for ‘Alice in Wonderland’.
The 24-year-old model-and-actress thought she was the perfect match for the titular role – which went to Mia Wasikowska – in Tim Burton’s movie in 2008 but was devastated when she found out that she hadn’t made the cut.
She said: “I was disappointed I didn’t get it. I was 16, that was one of my first big auditions and I was so sure it was right for me. I thought I was made for Alice but evidently I wasn’t. It was a hard lesson but it sort of propelled me towards what I’m doing it now; it was the precursor motivation.”
She’s always wanted to make it big on screen, but Cara actually made a name for herself modelling and, although it has been speculated she’s turned her back on the catwalk, the blonde beauty is adamant that she’s just merely focusing on acting for now and is still open to doing shoots.
She explained to Britain’s OK! magazine: “I haven’t stopped modelling for good. It’s not my focus right now but I’m lucky I can come back from time to time if anybody wants to work with me. But acting is what I’m concentrating on. It’s what I’ve always loved.”
However, the ‘Paper Towns’ star has admitted she really struggles to watch herself back on screen.
She added: “Seeing myself in a movie is still something I find hard to accept. It doesn’t sit very easy with me. I can’t connect with my own body, watching myself. I get very nervous and apprehensive watching myself in movies. It’s probably why I want to get into directing.”

Alex Jones to return to The One Show

OHMYGOSSIP — Alex Jones will return to ‘The One Show’ on Monday (24.04.17).
The 40-year-old presenter has confirmed she’ll rejoin her co-star Matt Baker on the topical magazine show from the beginning of next week for just two days to start with following the birth of her son Teddy, whom she has with her husband Charlie Thomson, in January.
Speaking on the show on Friday (21.04.17), she said in a video clip: “Hello everybody! Yes, I’m coming back to the one show on Monday. Matt hopefully you’ll after me because I’ll be feeling a bit nervous. Excited to see everybody. The whole team, but it will be hard to leave Little ted as every parent I’m sure understands. So yeah I’ll be back on Monday two days a week to begin with and we’ll see how we go. BBC One, 7pm, I’ll see you there.”
The brunette beauty announced she and her spouse had become parents for the first time four months ago when she phoned into the studio to share the news live on television.
She said at the time: “We’re absolutely delighted – we’re completely in love with him.”
Talking about the “straightforward” birth, she added: “It was all very straightforward, Charlie was with me, mum and dad were in the waiting room – because we didn’t know whether it was a boy or a girl. So that was a lovely bit of news. The last four days have been heaven – we’re in a bubble, the three of us, and it’s just the best time.”
Alex confirmed she was expecting her first child with her spouse – whom she married last year at Cardiff Castle in Wales – at the beginning of September last year and had only been on maternity leave for 20 days before she gave birth.
The presenter’s baby news came just a few months after she admitted she was worried she may have left it too late to have kids as her mother went through early menopause.
She said: “It’s useful to know because we shouldn’t hang about, but at the end of the day, what can you do? You hope it will happen. It might, it might not.
“The more pressure you put on yourself, the worse it becomes, because the one thing you want gets further out of reach. I haven’t chosen to leave it until I’m 39 – that is the situation I have found myself in.”

Ferne McCann to get art degree?

OHMYGOSSIP — Ferne McCann wants to get a degree in art.
The former ‘The Only Way is Essex’ star has just finished shooting a film across the pond, has carved out a career in presenting and is now keen to go back to school.
Speaking to OK! magazine, she explained: “My next thing is I want to get a degree in art. I see myself a bit like Emma Watson. She did the ‘Harry Potter’ thing and then she went back to school and that’s what I’d like to do.”
However, for now, the 26-year-old beauty is tied up working on ‘This Morning’ and has admitted she’d jump at the chance to take over the main show if Holly Willoughby was to ever leave – although she doesn’t think she’d be able to do such a good job.
She said: “I love working there. I get to do such a variety of things. I’m going to Cannes to cover the film festival for them soon and I was filming with sharks last week. Who’s going to turn down a job like that? It would be massive shoes to fill. You see Rylan Clark-Neal sometimes stepping in and he does such a great job, so it can be done.”
Ferne hasn’t had the easiest of times recently as she’s jumped dumped her boyfriend Arthur Collins after police made it known that they wanted to speak to him in relation to the shocking acid attack that took place at Mangle in Dalston, east London, last week.
Upon hearing that officers wanted to speak to Arthur about the attack, which saw footballer Jamie O’Hara’s cousin injured and a model suffer chemical burns to her arms, Ferne begged Arthur to “co-operate” with investigators.
A representative for the star said in a statement: “Ferne is aware that the police wish to speak to Arthur Collins and the nature of the accusations against him. Obviously these are highly shocking and Ferne has co-operated with the police in their inquiries. She was not with Arthur on Sunday night; was not at Mangle; and has no direct knowledge of the events that unfolded.
“As much as anybody she wants to know the truth and urges Arthur to co-operate fully with the police and attend a police station immediately.”

Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers 4 shot separately

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ and ‘Avengers 4’ will be shot back-to-back.
It was thought the movies would be filmed together as they’ve been treated as a duology – originally being named ‘Infinity War Parts 1’ and ‘…2’ – ever since they were officially announced but, although bosses still aim of bring all of the characters together in the two films, they’ve decided not to shoot them simultaneously.
Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige told Collider.com: “We’re doing them one right after another… It became too complicated to cross-board them like that, and we found ourselves – again, something would always pay the price. We wanted to be able to focus and shoot one movie and then focus and shoot another movie.”
The bosses have decided to crack on with ‘Avengers 4’ in August – just two months after the third instalment is expected to wrap up in Atlanta – so that they’re not waiting for the stellar cast; including Chris Pratt, Robert Downey Jr, Scarlett Johansson, Mark Ruffalo and Chris Hemsworth to free up their schedules later this year.
Not much is known about the fourth movie but it has been confirmed that Tom Holland’s Spider-Man is expected to feature in the forthcoming instalment.
The actor made his debut in Marvel Cinematic Universe in 2016’s ‘Captain America: Civil War’ and will reprise his web-throwing superhero alter ego in the summer.
Holland previously said he burned his ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ script to keep details of the movie from being leaked.
He took to Instagram earlier this year to share a video of himself chucking the script in the fire after he admitted he forgot to hand it into producers before he left set.
In the video, he said: “Rule number one … hand in your script … Marvel like to keep everything a secret. So, to all the producers who are probably freaking out because I forgot to hand in my script, here is evidence that I am destroying it.”
Holland was understandably thrilled when he found out he had been cast as Spider-Man and revealed he found out he had got the job through a post on Instagram.
He said: “I was in my bed scrolling through Instagram. It had been about a month since my audition. And Marvel just posted a photo saying go to our website and find out who the next Spider-Man is. I went on the Marvel website on my computer and there it was: The new Spider-Man is Tom Holland. I went ballistic, like absolutely nuts.”

Charlize Theron 'unleashes the beast'

OHMYGOSSIP — Charlize Theron relished the chance to “unleash the beast” in ‘Fast & Furious 8’.
The 41-year-old actress portrays high-tech terrorist Cipher in the latest instalment of the action franchise and was delighted to play a villain that wasn’t just a “femme fatale”.
She said: “Usually when the villain is a woman, she’s a femme fatale, which makes it sound more seductive and sexier. She’s showing a little leg and she uses her sexuality.
“But Cipher is a flat-out psychopath serial killer. She does unspeakable acts.
“There is no empathy whatsoever. She is twisted and sociopathic and psychopathic. They have me total freedom to unleash the beast and go wild.”
However, the blonde beauty can’t believe the franchise has never had a female villain before.
She said: “To be the first woman villain was a huge privilege but also quite unbelievable. I mean, really, the first?
“Women make the best villains, hands down. I’m sorry but they do, so there should have been another long before me.
“Women are just better. They have so many more possibilities at their disposal. They can mystify and conspire, and they’re more complex so they’re harder to read.
“I’m totally biased but it’s true. I literally couldn’t wait to get on set every morning.”
For Charlize – who has two children, Jackson, six, and August, 20 months – the most important thing when it comes to choosing her movie roles is an all-consuming excitement about the character.
She told Britain’s HELLO! magazine: “It’s all about the character, it has to be for me.
“Especially when I have kids and family, I have to be really interested and invested to want to dedicate time away from my life.
“I have to be so excited. I have to not be able to go to sleep.
“I want to dream about it, I want to daydream about it, I want my stomach to be in knots. If it’s not, I don’t want to do it.”

The Coroner is axed

OHMYGOSSIP — The ‘Coroner’ has been axed.
The popular daytime programme cast have received rave reviews from viewers since it first hit television screens in 2015 but it seems BBC producers don’t have the same opinion as they have decided to give it the chop after just two series.
The channel announced the news in a statement to the RadioTimes.com on Friday (21.04.17): “After two fantastic series, ‘The Coroner’ won’t be returning as we look for opportunities to bring through new programmes for the BBC1 daytime audience. We’d like to thank the brilliant cast and production team for all of their hard work.”
The drama stars Claire Goose as single mum Jane Kennedy who returns to her hometown Lighthaven in Devon and is reunited with her former childhood sweetheart Detective Sergeant Davey Higgins (Matt Bardock) as they investigate murders.
The writer Sally Abbott previously said that she based Jane and Davey on the sexual tension between Katharine Hepburn and Spencer Tracey in 1949’s ‘Adam’s Rib’.
The shock news hasn’t gone down too well with viewers and some die-hard fans have even started an online petition to bring it back later this year.
And the show’s writer Sally Wainwright is on the same page as she has admitted she had so much more content up her sleeve that she wanted to bring to screen.
She said: “I’m sure every writer feels this but The Coroner doesn’t feel dead to me. There are so many more stories and God how I love our characters.”

James 'Arg' Argent axed from TOWIE

OHMYGOSSIP — James ‘Arg’ Argent has reportedly been dropped from ‘The Only Way is Essex’.
The 29-year-old reality TV star met with bosses on Thursday (21.04.2017) and was reportedly told that he wasn’t allowed to return to the current series of the ITVBe show because they were worried it would throw him back off the bandwagon.
A source told The Sun Online: “Arg loves ‘TOWIE’ and was hoping he would make a cameo in the final few episodes of the series. But bosses believe after a lengthy stint in a rehab, being rushed back into the fold would not be in the best interests of Arg and other cast members. He was also told a full-time return is unlikely unless there was a dramatic improvement in his lifestyle.”
Viewers will no doubt be devastated when they hear of the news as the loveable funnyman has appeared on the show for seven years and has become a fan favourite.
He was last seen on screens at the end of 2016 and took it upon himself in February to check into a rehab facility in Thailand while his ex-girlfriend Lydia Bright was competing on the winter sports show ‘The Jump’ in Austria.
His friend Jack Tweedy said: “Arg is really loving it out there. He said he’s been doing loads of stuff like Muay Thai boxing, jungle trekking, abseiling down waterfalls and zip lining. He’s been eating really healthy food and he’s lost more than a stone. Arg is in a really good place at the moment and I hope he keeps it up for his sake and his family’s sake.”
Although he hasn’t been seen on screens, Arg – who was also suspended from the programme in 2014 after testing positive for cocaine – hasn’t been forgotten as his name has cropped up in some scenes after Gemma Collins mentioned him.
The show may have lost Arg but they look set to gain a newbie as ‘Love Island’ winner Cara De La Hoyde is in talks to join as a full-time cast member.
And she’ll no doubt be involved in some major storylines as she’s just split from her boyfriend Nathan Massey, who she met on the dating show last year.
A source explained: “Cara is expected to sign on the dotted line – she has got lots to say and ‘TOWIE’ bosses know that fans are really interested in her relationship with Nathan and their split. Everyone is desperate to find out the real reason why she split with Nathan and by joining the show she promises to reveal just that.”

Alesha Dixon says Simon Cowell is a big softy

OHMYGOSSIP — Britain’s Got Talent’s Alesha Dixon thinks mean judge Simon Cowell is actually a “big softy”.
The 38-year-old singer recently branded the tough-talking show boss an “annoying older brother” but it seems their relationship has changed over the recent weeks as she has admitted he actually has a “really big heart” and can be sensitive when he wants to be.
She explained: “He’s actually a big softy and he has a really big heart.”
The brunette beauty may be busy with ‘BGT’ auditions around the country but she still managed to find time to take her three-year-old daughter Azura to Disneyland Paris for a charity event in celebration of the magical amusement park’s momentous 25th anniversary.
The is the fourth year that the theme park has teamed up with British Airways to fly children from the charities ‘Body and Soul’, ‘Fight for Peace’ and ‘Oasis Children’s Venture’ out to France.
Since the partnership began back in 2010, the company has raised more than £14.5 million to help sick children around the world.
Alesha said: “It was a lovely day for all involved. I especially loved chatting to the children, they were very sweet. Azura had a fabulous day too. The charities are incredible and the children that I met so far have been so sweet.
“I’m so happy for them for a lot of them it is their first time – they are going through certain things in their life that and the fact that they get to come here and have fun and let go of all of that and just be kids is lovely and it has been a real pleasure to meet all of them.”
As well as trying out the rides and attractions within Disneyland, Alesha also took the time to offer some advice to the young people in a bid it’ll help them reach for their dreams.
She said: “The most important thing is self belief. Never be afraid of hard work and when things don’t work out for any particular reason try and learn from it and become stronger as a result.
“The power of your attitude towards something will usually determine the outcome.”

Caprice's 7-hour op

OHMYGOSSIP — Caprice underwent a seven-hour operation to have her brain tumour removed last month.
The 45-year-old model was diagnosed with a benign growth in February after she suffered blurred vision and headaches while competing on the winter sports show ‘The Jump’ and has nothing but praise for the programme because it essentially saved her life.
Speaking on ‘Loose Women’ on Friday (21.04.17), she said: “I had a seven-and-a-half hour operation. I went into theatre and it was like a party. There were 11 people in there. I thought this was the right thing for my family and I didn’t have the support system because I didn’t tell anyone … I just remember being in my bed and praying to my dad in heaven. I just wanted to wake up and be OK. It was the first time that it really hit me.”
The blonde bombshell was forced to come to terms with the news on her own as she was in Austria for the show without her husband Ty but admitted she couldn’t stop thinking about her three-year-old sons Jax and Jett and whether she was going to die.
She explained: “I went to the hospital and the nurse came in and said: ‘Oh you’re fine.’ And I said: ‘OK, let’s go. We have a live show.’ And she said: ‘No you have to see the neurosurgeon.’ And I said: ‘What are you talking about? I need to go.’ Anyway, the nurse came in and she sat down and she said: ‘Don’t be alarmed but you have a brain tumour.’ Obviously I started to break down and cry hysterically. I just said: ‘Am I going to die?’ That’s the first thing you think about, I’m 45 now but I had waited for the right partner at 39 and I waited for my kids. It’s terrifying and I’m relatively healthy and I’ve never done drugs and I couldn’t believe what they were telling me. For me, I just wanted to be strong for my kids because they’re so young. They’re three. I wanted to be strong for my partner.”
Caprice then decided to return to the UK in order to have her operation to remove the tumour and can’t thank bosses of the Channel 4 show enough for being so understanding.
She said: “Channel 4 were amazing. They said: ‘Forget about the show, you’re going home.’ So I went home and I told Ty my partner. I didn’t want to tell my mum straight away because she’s not in the greatest of health. We found the best neurosurgeon and we went to see him because I didn’t know if it was benign or if it was cancerous.
“I was in the dark so it was a really scary time for me. I went to see this neurosurgeon and I had every test under the sun. I had my whole body scanned again. And he said it is benign but it is a grower so they needed to get it out.”
The surgeons successfully removed the thumb-sized tumour and now Caprice will be monitored regularly to ensure it doesn’t grow back.

Clint Eastwood to direct terrorist tale

OHMYGOSSIP — Clint Eastwood is to direct a true-life tale of tourists who thwarted a terrorist attack.
The ‘American Sniper’ filmmaker will helm an upcoming movie based on Anthony Sadler, Alek Skarlatos, Spencer Stone and Jeffrey E. Stern’s book ‘The 15:17 To Paris: The True Story Of A Terrorist, A Train, And Three American Heroes’.
The book chronicles the events of 2015, when Anthony, Oregon National Guard member Alek and Spencer – a US Air Force airman who was trained in martial arts – were travelling by train from Brussels to Paris when an ISIS terrorist, armed with a loaded gun and ammo, boarded the vehicle with the intention of killing as many people as possible. The three Americans charged at the man and were able to overpower him as he prepared to launch his attack.
Dorothy Blyskal has adapted the script from the book, and Clint is planning to begin casting now and wants to start filming the Warner Bros. picture later this year.
Whoever gets cast in the film will be expecting to work hard, as Tom Hanks – who had the lead role in ‘Sully: Miracle on the Hudson’ – recently admitted the 86-year-old filmmaker treats his actors “like horses”.
He said of working with the actor-turned-director: “You certainly don’t want one of those Eastwood looks.
“He treats his actors like horses because when he did the 60s series ‘Rawhide’, the director would shout ‘Action!’ and all the horses bolted. So when he’s in charge, he says in a really quiet soft voice, ‘All right, go ahead,’ and instead of shouting ‘Cut!’ he says ‘That’s enough of that.’ It’s intimidating as hell!”

Kinks movie in the works

OHMYGOSSIP — The Kinks will be the subject of a new biopic.
The movie will tell the story of how frontman Sir Ray Davies, his brother and guitarist Dave, bassist Pete Quaife and drummer Mick Avory formed the group and rose to success, and examines how the singer coped with the “mayhem of fame”.
The currently untitled film will be based on the popular musical ‘Sunny Afternoon’, which was based on the rise of the group and features a lot of their songs.
According to the Daily Mail newspaper’s Baz Bamigboye, Joe Penhall, who wrote the play, is to write the script for the movie, while ‘Sunshine On Leith’ filmmaker Dexter Fletcher has been approached to direct.
Francois Ivernel, Charles de Rosen and Sonia Friedman are producing the film and are currently working on securing the story and music rights.
No one has been cast in the film yet, and it is not a foregone conclusion that John Dagleish and George Maguire, who have won awards for their portrayal of the Davies brothers in ‘Sunny Afternoon’ will reprise their roles on the big screen.
Ray and Dave founded the band in 1963 and split in 1996.
However, the brothers performed together for the first time in almost 20 years in 2015, when Ray joined Dave on stage in London for a performance of ‘You Really Got Me’.
The band has had a number of different line-ups over the years but the siblings have featured in each one.
The Kinks’ classic line-up featured Mick on drums and the late Pete on bass.
Pete was replaced by John Dalton in 1969 while Bob Henrit took over as sticksman in 1984.

Emmerdale looking to cast 'heavily-tattooed' actor

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘Emmerdale’ bosses are set to bring a “heavily-tattooed” person to the soap.
Bosses of the popular ITV show are looking for an “alternative person” to join the cast as they believe the edgy look will “terrify” the older members of the village – even if the mysterious new addition turns out to have “a heart of gold”.
Soap boss Iain MacLeod said: “[We’re looking for] some sort of heavily tattooed, body pierced, alternative person. Just because our characters are all, in their own way, ordinary, I don’t imagine any of them have any intimate piercings or secret tattoos. I just want someone covered head to toe in tattoos who will terrify the older characters but turn out to have a heart of gold.”
And Iain says he’s looking forward to what he has planned for the soap in the future, as he teased “really funny stuff” for the villagers in the upcoming weeks.
Speaking about upcoming storylines – which are being kept under wraps to avoid spoilers – Iain hinted: “I’m a big fan of the funny stuff. Soap, for me, has always been really heart-breaking stuff mixed with classic Northern humour.
“We’ve got tons of really funny stuff coming up in the future. It feels like never a week goes by that there isn’t some twist or surprise, or something new.”
‘Emmerdale’ – which has been nominated for a BAFTA for Best Soap and Continuing Drama at next month’s award’s ceremony – has been praised for its hard hitting storylines, which most recently saw John Middleton’s character Ashley Thomas lose his battle with dementia.
Iain told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “I feel like we’ve got a really good balance of heart-breaking stories like Ashley’s dementia and other stories coming up like Faith’s breast cancer.”
Meanwhile, John – who has played Ashley on the soap for 20 years – recently admitted filming his last scenes was an emotional experience, and revealed staff on the set were distraught as he was prepped for filming.
He said prior to his final scenes airing earlier this month: “It’s going to be a tearjerker for everyone. Tears were pouring down everybody’s faces while we were filming it. Someone was leaning over me to check costume and make-up and her tears were dripping on my cheek. Even the medical adviser was crying.”

Great British Bake Off to run for 75 minutes

OHMYGOSSIP — ‘The Great British Bake Off’ will run for 75 minutes per episode.
The popular baking show was snatched by Channel 4 in a mega-money deal late last year and, although fans were initially worried that the regular breaks would mean that the programme would be much shorter than the BBC version, bosses at the network have confirmed that they’ve decided to keep the content to an hour long.
A spokesperson for the show said: “We have always promised viewers that they would not be short-changed on the show, even though we are an ad-funded channel. The programme will run for 75 minutes to allow that.”
Not only have producers made a conscious effort to keep the running time the same as the BBC but they’ve also decided to keep some of the show’s main format elements.
Sources have claimed the theme tune, as well as the filming location of Welford Park in Berkshire, will remain the same so as to keep loyal ‘GBBO’ fans from switching off.
An insider said previously “While Channel 4 are keen to put their own stamp on the show, they are not trying to reinvent the wheel.
“They want to attract new legions of Bake Off fans, but also don’t want to dishearten those loyal viewers who have been watching it for years and are planning to keep doing so despite the change in channel.
“Viewers will get the familiar tent set-up, in the beautiful grounds of Welford Park, and the same theme tune they’ve been hearing since it was first launched in 2010.”
And, although the theme tune and filming location are staying the same, loyal fans will still have to make some room for change as Paul Hollywood will be the only returning member of the hosting team.
Previously, Paul appeared as a judge on the show and was joined by Mary Berry, whilst presenting due Mel Giedroyc and Sue Perkins took on hosting duties.
Now, Paul will be joined by Prue Leith, and the show will be hosted by Noel Fielding and Sandy Toksvig.
Shooting for the new series of ‘The Great British Bake Off’ is set to start later this month.

Warren Beatty thinks industry needs to accept streaming

OHMYGOSSIP — Warren Beatty believes streaming services will “rescue” the movie industry.
The 80-year-old actor has seen a lot of changes in Hollywood over the years and believes the fact there is no longer a need to rely on a cinematic release to attract attention to a film has freed moviemakers from restrictions such as running time, and as such thinks it will lead to more original content and fewer guaranteed money-making sequels.
Speaking to the Metro newspaper, he said: “I think we’re on the verge of another big change, which is the acceptance of home video (streaming).
“With the advent of the home screen, we’re finding movies that last six hours or 15 minutes.
“So all the necessities in storytelling are up for grabs. This will, I think, ultimately rescue us… rescue what David Lean once said to me was ‘the great near-art form of the 20th century’.
“It will rescue us from sequels.”
The ‘Bonnie and Clyde’ actor was recently embroiled in the Oscars controversy after he handed the Academy Award for Best Picture to ‘La La Land’ instead of the intended recipient ‘Moonlight’ after being given the wrong envelope, but he has dismissed the outcry as “silly”.
He said: “It was just silly – I think that’s the word for it. Maybe we overly dramatise these award ceremonies.
“They [the Academy Awards] have always been nice to me – I’ve been nominated a lot of times. It’s been very nice.
“I feel I’m part of the community. I feel sorry for the poor guy who made the mistake.”
The Hollywood legend is now starring alongside Lily Collins in ‘Rules Don’t Apply’, where he plays millionaire producer and director Howard Hughes and believes the filmmaker’s narcissism is still relevant in people today.
He said: “With the inherited wealth, he was able to manipulate and do things the way he wanted, to create this feeling that appealed to his own narcissism.
“Which I think has become more and more a characteristic that is mandatory in public life today – to be narcissistic.”
