John Middleton teases Emmerdale return

OHMYGOSSIP — John Middleton has hinted that he may make a return to ‘Emmerdale’.
The 64-year-old actor’s alter-ego Ashley Thomas was tragically killed off earlier this year when he lost his battle with dementia and, although he’s adamant there are no plans for his character to come back as a ghost, he has teased that he may return as the vicar’s secret twin brother Luke, who has never appeared in the soap but has been mentioned numerous times over the years, in the foreseeable future.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper, he said: “There’s no hint of Ashley coming back as a ghost but Ashley does have a twin brother called Luke so that could happen.”
However, if he does make a return to the ITV show, it won’t be yet as he’s tied up with some theatre work for the rest of the year after landing a part in ‘Strangers on a Train’.
He explained to the publication: “I’m looking forward to the next thing I’m doing – I’m going to be touring a play called ‘Strangers on a Train’.”
And, at some point in the future, John would love to follow in the footsteps of his former co-star Gemma Atkinson by slipping in his dancing shoes for ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
He said: “I haven’t been asked but if they did I would be on it like a shot, I love ‘Strictly’.
“Most celebrity things I don’t really want to do, I don’t want to meet bugs in the jungle but ‘Strictly’ is different I think – ‘Strictly’ is showbiz.
“Gemma is a total athlete apart from anything else, she’s an amazon and she’s a really strong woman so I think she will be fantastic on it.”

Sinitta warns Cheryl Tweedy to snub X Factor job

OHMYGOSSIP — Sinitta has warned “perfect” Cheryl Tweedy not to take her job on the ‘X Factor’.
The ‘So Macho’ hitmaker was convinced her friend and former lover Simon Cowell had chosen her to join him as his special guest during the Judges’ Houses round of the competition, but she’s livid that there’s rumours to suggest he’s now decided that the former Girls Aloud singer – who used to be a judge on the singing series – will help him out when it comes to choosing what acts he’ll take through to the live shows.
Speaking to The Sun Online, she said: “You can’t look like that, have hair like that, have Liam [Payne, her boyfriend], have the perfect baby, the perfect body, the perfect face, be a pop star, be drop-dead gorgeous and take Judges’ Houses.
“She needs to stay in her lane a little bit. I love you Chez but don’t even go there – not that I’m bothered. I thought I was coming back but now I’ve heard Cheryl is coming back. Simon has been a bit quiet – on text messages and Whatsapp.”
And the 53-year-old singer doesn’t think Cheryl, 34, will be able to provide entertainment like her as she’ll never rock up naked with leaves covering her bits.
She explained: “Well let’s put it this way – has Cheryl ever done Simon’s judges’ houses? Would it be appropriate? Would she wear leaves? It’s like I’m defending my job. Not that my face doesn’t look better. I’m behind them 100 per cent. But Cheryl doing judges’ houses – that’s a little below the belt.”
Sinitta admitted two months ago that Simon, 57, had made a huge mistake by replacing her with Mel B last year on the show and claimed he wanted her back.
She said at the time: “I’m going back to the ‘X Factor’ this year.
“Simon has admitted he made a big mistake by replacing me with a Spice Girl — even though they are fabulous.
“He’s realised it’s not always about who’s the most successful or who’s made the most money. It’s about chemistry and together we have that, so he said he wants me back.”

Scarlett Moffatt to present I’m A Celeb… Extra Camp

OHMYGOSSIP — Scarlett Moffatt will present ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’ spin-off show ‘Extra Camp’.
The 26-year-old reality TV star – who was crowned queen of the jungle on the creepy-crawly programme last year after winning over the hearts of the nation – will reportedly head Down Under later this year to host the side series alongside real-life couple Joe Swash and Stacey Solomon.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “This is a huge gig for Scarlett and one she’s worked hard to get. Last year’s show was just a bit too chaotic for producers, so they wanted to switch things up.
“The current plan is to have Scarlett host the show alongside two other presenters. At the moment that is most likely to see Stacey return with her boyfriend Joe as they were happy with them last time round. It’s a massive test for Scarlett but ITV were chuffed with her in the jungle and the job she did on ‘Ant And Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway’ so think she’s well worth the punt.”
The brunette beauty – who had viewers in hysterics with her one-liners – will replace Vicky Pattison and Chris Ramsey after they were ditched from the spin-off following a number of gaffes last year.
An insider said recently: “Bosses love the ‘Extra Camp’ format and think it’s a great part of the whole ‘I’m A Celebrity…’ package, but they felt it could do with a shake-up.
“Obviously Ant and Dec are always going to be the hosts of the main show, but producers have tended to tinker around with ‘Extra Camp’, changing hosts, tweaking the format and even changing the name. Unfortunately Chris is going to be one of those to face the axe, along with Vicky, but bosses very much enjoyed working with him.”
Meanwhile, although bosses are almost certain they’ve got their line up of presenters ready for the spin-off, they’re now hoping that Ant McPartlin – who went into rehab for treatment for painkiller addiction earlier this year – will be ready to host the main series alongside Declan Donnelly.

Catherine Tyldesley’s challenging Corrie fight scene

OHMYGOSSIP — Catherine Tyldesley found her forthcoming water fountain fight scene on ‘Coronation Street’ really “challenging”.
The 33-year-old beauty’s alter-ego Eva Price is going through a tough time on the soap after learning that her fiancé Aidan Connor (Shayne Ward) was having an affair with her bridesmaid Maria Connor, played by actress Samia Longchambon.
The pair will finally come to blows with a dramatic episode of the ITV1 show set to air on September 20, which saw the blonde beauty perform some extreme stunts.
Catherine was most petrified when she was performing a from high up as she has a fear of heights, and it was all the more scary when a wasp swarmed around her.
She told The Sun Online: “At one point I am up high for a big scene – I can’t say any more or give it away but I am terrified of heights so the stunt was a challenge.
“Something happens which I can’t reveal, but filming it was terrifying.”
The actress said she nearly had a “breakdown” when the pesky insect much to the amusement of her co-stars.
She told the Mirror Online: “I am terrified of heights, so that was a real challenge for me, especially when a wasp came. Everyone else thought it was hilarious but I had a breakdown.”
The girls had a stunt advisor on set with them, but Catherine says a lot of it was improvised.
She said: “Because of the nature of the scene they were just like ‘Go for it guys’. Me and Samia [Longchambon] were like ‘Oh my god!” And we did, we just went for it – within reason. We were both aware of what we should or shouldn’t do but yeah, it was pretty full-on.”
And despite the scene being challenging to film, Catherine says neither of them were harmed.
She said: “We were really pruned and my fake tan was a nightmare but other than that, no I don’t think we did get any injuries.”
Things will start to kick off on September 18, when Eva’s hen night sees her stir things up with Maria and Aidan will finally confess to cheating, all in the run up to the huge bust-up which happens after Maria bursts into the church as Eva walks down the aisle.

Montana Brown to present I’m A Celeb… Extra Camp

OHMYGOSSIP — Montana Brown wants to present ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’ spin-off ‘Extra Camp’.
The ‘Love Island’ star has been attached to the forthcoming series of the talk show, which airs after the main programme on ITV, following Vicky Pattison’s departure and she has admitted it would be a “dream come true” if she was approached by bosses to host the creepy-crawly side show.
Speaking to new! magazine, she said: “That’s the first I’ve heard about it. Hopefully my wishes come true through. There’s nothing in the pipeline but that is my dream job, so let’s see what happens.”
And that’s not the only show the 22-year-old beauty has her eye on as Montana is desperate to secure a panelist position on ‘Loose Women’ after she recently did an Instagram takeover for them.
She said last month: “I’d love to be a panelist. I’d like to get into presenting eventually, but it’s something I need to practice first. That’s my end goal.”
And Montana – who recently split from her ‘Love Island’ boyfriend Alex Beattie – admitted one of her motivations for taking part in the reality show was to use it as a “platform” to find her dream TV job.
She explained: “I was actually looking for a boyfriend, which obviously happened, but I also wanted to use it as a platform. To get into presenting, it’s a lot about who you know.
“It was important for me to get into the public eye.”

Richard Hammond is banned from exercising

OHMYGOSSIP — Richard Hammond has been banned for exercising for 18 months after the terrifying car accident.
The 47-year-old television personality was involved in a horrific motoring crash in June this year, which temporarily left him wheelchair bound, and although he has since ditched his walking aids he has been forbidden from running.
And the former ‘Top Gear’ host thinks his recovery will prove to be a struggle for him as he fears being unable to keep fit will see him pile on the pounds.
Speaking to the Mirror Online, the petrol head – who was knocked unconscious after the accident and fractured his knee – said: “I can’t run for 18 months and that’s how I keep fit. I’m 47 – it’s hard to keep the weight off so it will hit me hard if I can’t run.”
However, Richard has been told he is allowed to cycle, much to his annoyance because he “hates” cyclists, and he doesn’t want to be seen peddling along the road in a helmet.
The thrill seeking star – who has daughters Willow and Isabella – said: “They’ve told me I have to cycle – but I hate cyclists. We all hate cyclists.
“I’m a 47-year-old man – I can’t be cycling along the street wearing a helmet.”
And Richard – who was left in a coma for two weeks after a crash while filming ‘Top Gear’ in 2006 – has admitted it is “not easy” for him to find insurance because of the number of accidents he has had.
But the star thinks it shouldn’t prove so problematic because he “mends easily”.
He said: “It’s not easy. But it should be, because I obviously mend easily.”
Although Richard’s physical ability has been limited since being involved in the road race, he has since got back behind the wheel.
Speaking previously, he said: “Back Behind The Wheel!(sic).”

Sheena: Queen of the Jungle film in the works

OHMYGOSSIP — A ‘Sheena: Queen of the Jungle’ film is in the works.
Following the success of Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman portrayal, Millennium Films is searching for the next big female star to take on the iconic role of the fictional US comic book star.
According to Deadline, movie bosses are hoping to begin production in summer 2018.
The jungle girl was the first female comic book character to have her own title, preceding ‘Wonder Woman’.
Sheena is an oprhan who speaks to animals and grew up in the jungle, and had to learn how to fight with makeshift weapons, such as bows and spears.
It is not yet known who is in the frame to appear as the main character.
Tanya Roberts played the part on the big screen in 1984 movie ‘Sheena’, and Irish McCalla took on the role in a 26-episode TV series from 1955 to 1956.
Princess Elizabeth of Toro, Ted Wass and Donovan Scott also appeared in ‘Sheena’, but the film was not well critically received and was nominated for five Golden Raspberry Awards, including Worst Picture and Worst Actress for Roberts.
The motion picture was directed by John Guillermin – who helmed 1978 movie ‘Death on the Nile’ – and produced by Paul Aratow.
Gadot is well known to Millennium as she starred in their 2016 crime thriller ‘Criminal’ alongside the likes of Gary Oldman, Kevin Costner and Alice Eve.

Alice Eve joins Green Olds

OHMYGOSSIP — Alice Eve is to star in ‘Green Olds’.
The 35-year-old actress will appear alongside Thomas Haden Church and Finn Wittrock in the comedy thriller movie, which will see Max Mayer directing.
Mayer told Variety: “I look forward with great joy to working with such a dynamically gifted team to tell a story I find so darkly funny, compelling, and emotionally truthful.”
Dallas Mitchell Brennan has written the script for the forthcoming film, which will tell the story of a man who finds himself involved in a love triangle with a married couple.
George Parra, Michael Goodin, Dallas Brennan, Chris Gilligan, and Rabinder Sira will produce the project, and Kirk D’Amico and Josh Monkarsh will executive produce the movie.
Eve is currently filming heist comedy film ‘The Brits Are Coming’ alongside Uma Thurman, Tim Roth and Parker Posey.
The movie tells the story of a jewel heist planned by Harriet and Peter Fox – who are played by Thurman and Roth – after they escape from gangster Ivanka, who is played by Maggie Q.
Eve recently starred in crime thriller movie ‘Criminal’ alongside Kevin Costner, Gal Gadot, Tommy Lee Jones and Gary Oldman.

The ‘Star Trek: Into Darkness’ star was flying from London to South Africa when her flight was hit by severe turbulence, leaving her shaken but unhurt.
She said: “The flight dropped 2,000 ft – the pilot said it was the worst turbulence he had seen in his 35 years in the sky.
“There was a lot of screaming and a few people were hurt.”

Casey Affleck to star in Stoner

OHMYGOSSIP — Casey Affleck is set to star in ‘Stoner’.
The 42-year-old actor has signed up to star in the drama movie, which will be directed by Joe Wright and produced by Jason Blum’s Blumhouse Productions and is based on the 1965 John Williams novel of the same name.
Blum – who optioned the book in 2011 – is quoted by Variety as saying: “Because the novel is so beautiful but not well-known, fans of ‘Stoner’ feel like they’re in a secret club.
“I’m so excited that Casey, Joe and Andrew have come aboard to help expand this club’s membership.
“This quintessentially American work is being brought to the screen by a terrific international team and we’re confident their combined perspectives will add rich layers to this moving story.”
Andrew Bovell will adapt a script based on the book, which tells the story of impoverished farmer William Stoner who is sent to state university to study agronomy but prefers English literature and takes on a scholar’s life.
Casey has tasted film success this year already after being awarded an Academy Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role for his portrayal of Lee Chandler in Kenneth Lonergan’s ‘Manchester by the Sea’.
The star admitted he feels “very blessed” with his career following his Oscar win.
He recently said: “It maybe seems hard from the outside but he’s had a pretty good time and I’ve had a weird life. I’ve been out here since I was 17 years old and so I’ve gotten to know lots of actors who have had a lot of success and some failures and some hard times and some success again.”
“I’ve been able to see other people’s careers and how they’ve worked out and it’s been an education. And so I’ve really enjoyed my career. It’s been exactly what I wanted and I feel very blessed and happy with it.”

Rian Johnson: Kylo Ren is ‘so much fun’ to write

OHMYGOSSIP — Rian Johnson found Kylo Ren “so much fun” to write for ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’.
The 43-year-old filmmaker helms the upcoming eighth instalment of the popular sci-fi franchise, and as said the movie’s villain Kylo – played by Adam Driver – was one of his favourite roles to write, as he believes despite the character’s evil streak, he is someone audiences can “relate” to.
Speaking to Empire magazine, Rian said: “Writing Kylo Ren is just so much fun. ‘Star Wars’ boils down to the transition from adolescence into adulthood. That’s the heart of these films and Rey is most obviously the one that hangs on. But it’s also Kylo.
“In the originals you project entirely onto Luke, while Vader is the scary other – he’s the minotaur. The fascinating thing about Kylo and Rey is that they’re two sides of something.
“We can all relate to Kylo: to that anger of being in the turmoil of adolescence and figuring out who he’s going to be as a man; dealing with anger and wanting to separate from his family. He’s not Vader – at least, he’s not Vader yet – and that’s something I really wanted to get into.”
And writing Kylo’s character wasn’t the only thing Rian enjoyed about working on the movie, as he previously stated he had “the time of [his] life” on set.
He said: “My friends, whenever I talk to them recently … ask me what the experience was like, I always come back and say I had the time of my life making this movie. Part of that is what Star Wars means to me, and what it means to a lot of us.”
‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ is due to hit cinema screens in December, and will see Mark Hamill, Daisy Ridley, and John Boyega reprise their roles, as well as the late Carrie Fisher – who passed away in December 2016 – making her final outing as Princess Leia.

Jack O’ Connell dropped from Alexander McQueen biopic

OHMYGOSSIP — Jack O’ Connell has reportedly lost his role as fashion designer Alexander McQueen.
The 27-year-old British actor was in line to take on the role of the late catwalk visionary in a biopic about the fashion designer based on Andrew Wilson’s biography ‘Blood Beneath The Skin’.
However, bosses decided after holding talks with the ‘Skins’ star that he wasn’t right for the role despite his film credits including dark roles in ‘Money Monster’ and ‘Unbroken’.
And so the job is back on the market for the man who is a perfect fit to portray the taunted character.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “When producers started casting they thought Jack was the absolute ideal man due to his history of dark roles, but after months of deliberation they decided he wasn’t the right fit.
“No contracts were signed and Jack has been given his marching orders.
“The production is still very much in motion, it just won’t be happening with Jack. The part is back to being wide open.”
Pathé is bringing the project to the big screen with ’45 Years’ filmmaker Andrew Haigh on board to direct from a script by Chris Urch.
The story of McQueen is one of incredible success and tragedy.
McQueen was the working class son of a taxi driver from east London who after earning an apprenticeship at Savile Row tailors Anderson & Sheppard rose through the fashion world to become head designer at Givenchy.
He then founded his own label in 2004 and went on to receive a CBE from the Queen for his contribution to fashion.
However, following the death of his mother Joyce in 2010 he fell into a deep depression and died by on February 11 at the age of 40 the day before her funeral and nine days after she had died from cancer at the age of 75.
Filming on the biopic is due to begin next spring with the movie scheduled for a late 2017 release.

Colin Trevorrow out of Star Wars: Episode IX

OHMYGOSSIP — Colin Trevorrow won’t direct ‘Star Wars: Episode IX’.
The 40-year-old filmmaker has exited the hotly-anticipated ‘Star Wars’ movie – which he signed up to helm back in 2015 – citing “differing visions for the project”.
A statement posted on StarWars.com read: “Lucasfilm and Colin Trevorrow have mutually chosen to part ways on Star Wars: Episode IX. Colin has been a wonderful collaborator throughout the development process but we have all come to the conclusion that our visions for the project differ. We wish Colin the best and will be sharing more information about the film soon.”
It comes after Lucasfilm head Kathleen Kennedy confirmed the late Carrie Fisher would not be appearing in ‘Star Wars Episode IX’ after her brother Todd Fisher hinted she could.
She said: “Sadly, Carrie will not be in nine. But we will see a lot of Carrie in eight.”
Previously, Disney had confirmed they would not be using CGI to create the likeness of the late star but Todd had claimed that reusing old footage was a possibility.
He said: “Both of us were like, ‘Yes, how do you take her out of it?’ And the answer is you don’t. She’s as much a part of it as anything and I think her presence now is even more powerful than it was, like Obi Wan – when the saber cuts him down he becomes more powerful. I feel like that’s what’s happened with Carrie. I think the legacy should continue … To me, ‘Star Wars’ is the holy grail of storytelling and lore and you can’t mess with it.”
Whilst Disney and Lucasfilm said in a statement: “We want to assure our fans that Lucasfilm has no plans to digitally recreate Carrie Fisher’s performance as Princess or General Leia Organa. Carrie Fisher was, is, and always will be a part of the Lucasfilm family. She was our princess, our general, and more importantly, our friend. We are still hurting from her loss. We cherish her memory and legacy as Princess Leia, and will always strive to honour everything she gave to Star Wars.”
‘Star Wars: Episode IX’ is slated for release on May 24, 2019.

Speaking about his new role, Antonio said: “The life story of Pablo Picasso has long since fascinated me and I have so much respect for this man, who also comes from my birthplace Málaga.”
Whilst executive producer Ron Howard added: “Antonio was the natural choice. He, like Picasso, has a no-holds-barred approach to life that will add to the genuineness that we’re looking for. Lauren Goodger confirms split from Joey Morrison

OHMYGOSSIP — Lauren Goodger has confirmed she has split from Joey Morrison.
The ‘Only Way is Essex’ star dated her jailbird boyfriend for 15 months before the pair called it quits “a few months” ago.
Captioning a video posted to Instagram, she said: “There’s been a lot of speculation and claims recently about me and Joey about my weight and our relationship. We haven’t been together for a few months now and I haven’t said anything until now as I don’t have to explain my every move and should be allowed to deal with things in my own time. My antics out and about recently are because I am single and enjoying myself with my friends.
“Me and Joey are still speaking, and we’re good friends as nothing happened to make us fall out. I wanted to put it into my own words so it can’t get twisted and also because of all the ‘sources’ out there and people saying stuff. Joey will be home in not too long hopefully and I will see him as we’ve been through this last year and half together and have a friendship and respect for each other. He’s helped me a lot just as I’ve been there for him so of course we’ll remain friends. #always #love #respect #bond. (sic)”
It comes after Lauren admitted she is “having doubts” about her relationship with Joey.
Her spokesperson said in July: “Lauren and Joey haven’t officially broken up, but Lauren is questioning her relationship and having doubts. It’s not easy being with someone who is in prison especially with all the scrutiny and speculation. She loves Joey deeply but she needs time to work out if this relationship has legs and whether it will all be worth it in the end.”

Peter Davison’s son joins Poldark

OHMYGOSSIP — Peter Davison’s son has joined the new series of ‘Poldark’.
The former ‘Doctor Who’ star’s son Louis Davison has jumped on board the fourth instalment of the period drama after bosses chose him to replace Harry Marcus as Geoffrey Charles in the show, and he’s certainly settled into his new part well as he was photographed in his alter egos lavish ensemble on set on Tuesday (05.09.17).
The news that he’s joined the cast was confirmed on the show’s official Twitter account as they shared the shot of him grinning at the camera with his character’s hat in hand.
The photo was accompanied with the caption: “Our new Geoffrey Charles – Louis Davison! Welcome to team #Poldark. (sic)”
Louis’ older sister Georgia Tennant – who’s married to David Tennant – couldn’t resist congratulating her sibling on his success on her Twitter account shortly afterwards.
She said: “What a terribly proud big sister I am. Legend. #poldark #bbc #louisdavison (sic)”
And Harry was equally impressed with his replacement as he said: “A massive well done to Louis Davison the new GC! Give George hell you are going to have so much fun! #Poldark (sic).”
Meanwhile, although fans can’t wait for the fourth series to hit screens, Aidan Turner – who plays the titular role in the hit BBC1 drama – has hinted that the fifth instalment will be the last.
He said recently: “I think we run out of things to do after series five, I think that would be our last one. Four was green-lit, five hasn’t been yet, and it wouldn’t be fair to me to green light it, but it’s probably looking like it may happen.”

Gemma Collins is still single

OHMYGOSSIP — Gemma Collins is still single.
The ‘Only Way is Essex’ star sparked rumours she was dating a bearded man at the end of last month after she uploaded a photograph of her kissing him on the cheek on her social networking sites, but she’s adamant she’s not in a relationship with anyone and is going on a date with an “nice older guy” next week.
Taking to her Twitter account this morning (06.09.17), she said: “Guys …. I am very much a single Pringle ! I have a date next week with a nice older guy …. this person is NOT the one no more airtime x (sic)”
As well as trying to find the perfect man for her, the blonde babe is toying with the idea of getting a gastric band fitted, which involves putting an adjustable ring around the top of your stomach to prevent overeating, in order to fulfill her dreams of having a baby.
A source said: “Gemma knows she’s run out of excuses. She’s determined to get control over her weight and face up to the reality that she’s big because she eats too much. Gemma feels she won’t find love if she doesn’t do something drastic and thinks her only option is a gastric band. She knows she’s not getting any younger and has been told she could develop fertility problems due to her weight.”
However, although she’s keen to beat the bulge, the 36-year-old blonde doesn’t want to lose too much weight as she wants to be an ambassador for the larger ladies.
The insider explained: “She’s not turning her back on the bigger women. Her happiness is at risk and she has to do something about it – now!”
Last year, Gemma revealed that she’d suffered a miscarriage in 2012 and believes it was punishment for aborting her baby previously.
She said at the time: “I do feel guilty. What if I can never have a baby now? The miscarriage feels like God’s way of punishing me.”
