OHMYGOSSIP — Saira Khan insists she has a “fantastic” sex life, despite previously claiming she had lost her sex drive.
The ‘Loose Women’ presenter once told viewers she had informed her husband, Steven Hyde, he was allowed to sleep with other women because her sex drive had gone, but the 47-year-old star insists they now have a great time between the sheets after undergoing therapy.
Speaking on the panel show on Wednesday (13.09.17), she said: “As you know, I talked about not wanting to have sex anymore.
“I went to therapy and I took Steve with me. Since that day our sex life is fantastic, it’s fine.
“It was affecting my marriage. If I hadn’t come out I think my marriage would have broken up.”
Saira and Steve’s marriage hit the headlines following her comments last year, in which she admitted she was “not interested” in getting jiggy with it.
At the time, she said: “We used to have a fantastic sex life. I still love my husband, we cuddle up and it’s lovely.
“We’ve been together for 11 years, but I’m not interested in sex, I don’t want to.
“I’m embarrassed to say this but I said to him, ‘You can go with someone else if you want?’ I want to make him happy.
“He’ll kill me for saying this. Am I the only one?”
While initially mortified by his wife’s comments, Steve – who has two children, Zachariah and Amara Hyde, with Saira, who he married in 2004 – stood by her and hit back at critics.
He said: “I was angry, embarrassed and immediately worried what my friends, business colleagues and most of all family were going to make of it all.
“It’s sad some have demonised Saira for this – we need to accept there are thousands of couples who are perfectly happily married with dormant sex lives.
“I love Saira and always will – and I’m proud she’s part of a show where women can talk to each other.
“Even if it did turn my world upside down for 48 hours.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Ruth Langsford has hurt her ankle while rehearsing for ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The ‘This Morning’ presenter completed her first day of training for the ballroom and latin show with her partner Anton du Beke yesterday (12.09.17) but has already been left with a sore foot after she accidentally kicked herself while learning the steps.
Taking to her Twitter account, the 57-year-old star said in a short video: “I had great fun with Anton but I am aching in places I didn’t know ached.
“I’ve got a big bruise on my ankle but I think I kicked myself. That’s a good trick, isn’t it. So yeah, day 1, hopefully it can only get better, not worse!”
The blonde beauty is also struggling with swollen toes because she’s not used to prancing around in heels all day, but has decided to end every session with an ice bath after hearing that the professional dancers use that trick to cool down their feet.
She said: “So I’m told this is what the pro dancers do when their feet are hot and sore. Iced water for five minutes… it’s so cold but good!”
And, although she’s giving the rehearsals her all, her husband Eamonn Holmes doesn’t think she’s got what it takes to win the show.
He said: “She’s not going to win it, absolutely not, so save your money, folks.
“But you know what, it’s a great thing that programme means so much to people.”
This comes shortly after Eamonn, 57, said he will be living off baked beans and takeaways “every night” while Ruth is on rehearsing for the programme.
The ‘This Morning’ co-host joked that he’ll be a ‘Strictly’ “widower” as he has no skills in the kitchen, meaning he’ll need to survive on basic meals to see him through.
He said: “She’s a domestic goddess and runs the whole house. She does everything and when she is not there, well it’s going to be be baked beans every night. It will probably be takeaways and they will go out into the bin before she gets home.”

OHMYGOSSIP — A ‘Take Me Out’ OAP special is set to air next year.
Paddy McGuinness, who hosts the regular series, has confirmed an edition of the programme aimed at older people will hit the small screen in 2018, and he can’t wait to present the special game show episode.
He said: “I don’t know if I can say this, but we’re doing two specials this year. One of them, this is going to get me in so much trouble … it’s not been green lit this, but if I say it it’ll happen.
“We’re doing an old age persons’ special. Come on, I love the OAPs.”
The 44-year-old TV presenter also revealed the regular ‘Take Me Out’ series – which has spanned nine series since January 2010 – will return for another run next year.
He added: “We’re looking for new boys and girls now. We’re doing it in November and it’ll be on in the new year.
“I usually do about 10 [episodes].”
While Paddy loves hosting ‘Take Me Out’, he admitted his TV “highlight” is ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ and he loved seeing the latest series winner Sarah Harding’s antics during the “epic” recent run.
Speaking on ‘The Radio 1 Breakfast Show with Nick Grimshaw’, he added: “It’s my highlight of the year, I love it.
“The last series was epic. Sarah Harding. Amazing. What I liked about her was her VT, she went, ‘I just want Britain to see me for who I really am.’ And it cut to her singing a Girls Aloud song into an upside down mop with a drink in her hand and with her other hand under a blanket doing something to a bloke on national TV. ‘You’re in there for three weeks, Sarah. For the love of God, please!’ ”

OHMYGOSSIP — Montana Brown has landed a new presenting gig.
The ‘Love Island’ star has made no secret of the fact she wants to host her own show and it looks like she’s just got her big break as she will follow in the footsteps of the likes of Laura Whitmore and Zane Lowe by fronting ‘MTV News’ later this year.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “Montana’s been very committed to not just being a run-of-the-mill reality star, so to have bagged this is great news.
“She’s over the moon and can’t wait to start.”
The 21-year-old beauty’s new job comes just weeks after she was signed to the talent management firm ROAR Global, who cares for the careers of Lorraine Kelly, Mark Wright and Denise Van Outen, as she’s keen to make her mark in television.
A source said previously: “Unlike many of the other ‘Love Island’ contestants Montana is determined to keep the projects she chooses classy.
“She wants to forge a glowing telly presenting to career so turned down offers from reality TV agents and followed the stars. Montana feels she is something really special and has aimed high. She has dreams of her own talk show aimed at younger people so wants the best management team possible around her.”
Montana is also said to be on the shortlist for presenters to help host ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’ spin-off show ‘Extra Camp’ alongside Stacey Solomon, Joe Swash and last year’s queen of the jungle Scarlett Moffat.
She said: “Hopefully my wishes come true though. There’s nothing in the pipeline but that is my dream job, so let’s see what happens.”
And that’s not all the brunette babe is hoping to achieve off the back of the ‘Love Island’, as she’s also planning to launch her own fashion range in the near future.
The insider explained: “Montana loves fashion – she planning on launching a clothes range in the near future too.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Rylan Clark-Neal is set to front a new game show.
The 28-year-old presenter has only just finished filming ‘Big Brother’s Bit on the Side’ but he won’t have much time to rest as he has just signed up to host ‘The Wave’ – a new 10-part series predicted to be the most dangerous show on TV – in November.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper, the 28-year-old star said: “It’s sunny, it’s sexy and it’s funny. What more could you want?
“I can’t wait to work with an amazing team, playing a really fun game and can’t wait to meet our brave contestants who are going to be taking on ‘The Wave’.”
The programme will see pairs work together in order to walk away with a cash prize but the challenge won’t be easy as one person will be required to stay on dry land answering questions while the other swims to pontoons moored further in the ocean.
But, in a shocking twist, if the dry competitor manages to answer the question correctly, they win money, but if they fail, the swimmer will be forced to carry rocks.
And the tough challenge doesn’t stop there as the pair also have the added pressure of making it back to shore in time otherwise they lose the cash they’ve earnt.
A source said: “Swimming out in open sea is tough enough as it is. But a bag full of rocks could really end in tears for those taking part.
“Show bosses will be watching nervously, hoping contestants don’t get in too much bother before the safety boat intervenes.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Megan McKenna is going to pen some harsh break-up tracks about her exes.
The ‘Only Way is Essex’ star’s country music career has rocketed over the past week, which saw her singles ‘High Heeled Shoes’ and ‘Far Cry From Love’ claim Number 1 and 2 in the iTunes Download Chart, and she has admitted she’s got more to come as she’s planning to use her previous relationships as inspiration for some new hits.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper, she said: “I am going to write about my exes – you have to write about previous relationships.
“Song writing is very personal and I think throughout my life I’ve had so many things happen to me. I have so many stories to tell including ex boyfriends and ex friendships. I was bullied at school and grew up in that environment with girls not liking me. This is all going to put into my songs. I am a very honest person.”
The 24-year-old beauty is also planning to give fans an insight into her relationship with Pete Wicks, which dominates the storylines for the ITVBe show, because she wants people to see the anger she feels in the run up to her meltdowns on screen.
She explained: “People only see me getting defensive and arguing back at people but obviously those are positions I’m put in on The Only Way Is Essex but what people aren’t seeing is how I am really feeling. They don’t see what I am going through to get to that stage and to feel that anger – if any normal girl has gone through heartache in their lives then they’re going to understand me. I’m going to write about all the behind-the-scenes stuff that people don’t see.”
And she is even toying with the idea of leaving TV behind in favour of focusing on her music after she filmed her three-part show ‘There’s Something About Megan’.
She said: “Singing is my No 1. I am going to keep my performance side of things separate. I am not going to perform on ‘TOWIE’. Do you really think you’re going to have the whole of the ‘TOWIE’ cast clicking along to a country song? I don’t think so.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Mollie King “dances like an elephant.”
The Saturdays singer came under fire last month when she revealed she’d signed up to compete in this year’s ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ because, coming from a band, fans assumed she’d had some dance training – making it unfair on the other competitors – but she’s adamant she’s terrible at shaking her hips and moving her feet.
Speaking to The Sun Online, she said: “People will assume I’ve had formal dance training but I haven’t. When I was in a ballet class aged three they said I danced like an elephant so I played football instead! I’m petrified I will tumble down the stairs on Saturday or forget the routine. I want to stay in it until the half way mark.
“I’m aware it does take over your life but I asked management to do it after seeing Frankie [Bridge, her band mate] on it a few years back and I’m so excited.”
But it looks like the 30-year-old beauty will be in for a hard time as she’s already sparked rumours she’s got a soft spot for her partner AJ Pritchard.
The pair set tongues wagging last week when they took to their social media sites to reveal that they were watching the launch show with one another and eating snacks.
And a few weeks before that, the blonde bombshell – who previously dated David Gandy – was romantic linked to fellow competitor Joe McFadden.
She said recently: “We’ve already got two ‘Strictly…’ WhatsApp groups on the go. Somebody sent that pic of me and Joe and said, ‘Guys, you didn’t tell us there was a romance.’ I said, ‘Joe, you didn’t tell me either, what’s happening?’ We were in hysterics. It was hilarious that everyone was saying we were flirting.
“When we came off stage we both thought we hadn’t done enough and we should have done more moves, but the pictures looked like we are having a really intense conversation. It’s nothing, but he is completely lovely.”
But Mollie is adamant she isn’t looking for love on the show and, instead, wants to pour all of her attention into learning the dance routines and doing the best she can.

OHMYGOSSIP — Stephanie Davis has sparked rumours she’s dating Ricky Rayment.
The 24-year-old actress has had somewhat of a difficult time recently after her ex-boyfriend Jeremy McConnell, with whom she has nine-month-old son Caben-Albi, was found guilty of assaulting her at her home in Liverpool earlier this year.
But it looks like the brunette beauty is ready to move on and find love again as she and the former ‘The Only Way is Essex’ star have set tongues wagging after they posted a series of love heart emojis on one each other’s photographs online.
The former ‘Hollyoaks’ star – who is currently on holiday in Sweden – then fuelled even more speculation when she seemingly hinted at a new relationship on Twitter.
She wrote recently: “Wow, god works in mysterious ways and what’s just happened is FATE! So weird! Someone is watching, (sic)” followed by a heart and praying emoji.
Stephanie’s new romance comes just months after she called time on her turbulent relationship with Jeremy following 18 months of on/off dating.
The pair met and fell in love in the ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ house last January but following a series of blazing rows, they decided to end their romance in May 2016.
The aspiring singer then found out she was pregnant with Caben a few weeks later but Jeremy, 28, refused to believe he was the father until a paternity test, carried out four weeks after the little one was born, revealed he was the biological dad.
The pair then decided to give their relationship another go for the sake of Caben but things came crashing down once again when Jeremy started hitting the bottle.
Jeremy was then arrested in March when he reportedly lashed out at the brunette babe and “threw her around like a rag doll” because he thought she was having an affair with her pregnant best friend and a fireman from across the road.
Jeremy – who has been into rehab twice for drug and alcohol addictions – was later found guilty of battery and handed a 12-month suspended sentence.
The Irish hunk was also banned from seeing or speaking to Stephanie for three years and any contact regarding their baby Caben would have to be made via social services, solicitors or the family court.

OHMYGOSSIP — Amelia Lily thinks Sarah Harding and Chad Johnson will get married.
The couple hit the headlines last month when they struck up a relationship inside the ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ house – despite the singer having a boyfriend on the outside – but, although distance has now separated them due to the fact Sarah lives in the UK and Chad is based across the pond in Los Angeles, their co-star is convinced their romance is the real deal and it will end in wedding bells “sooner” rather than later.
Speaking to The Sun Online, Amelia said: “The chemistry between them is immense.
“I think they will get married, they are so into each other. It could be sooner than you think. In the house they had such a connection so if they continue that on the outside I reckon they will definitely get married. I really hope so.”
Chad, 29, flew back to the US a week after he was let out of the infamous abode but it doesn’t look like they’ll be separated for long as Sarah has reportedly been inundated with offers from American bosses and is currently weighing up her options.
She said recently: “It’s OK, he’s gone back to LA now.
“I’ve got some work lined up in LA so I’m hoping to go out there in the next few weeks. We spent a week together outside of the house, I’m still acclimatising, we’re taking it one bit at a time. We’re being sensible.”
But the 35-year-old beauty is still trying to get her around her on-screen romance because she never expected to fall for someone when she first went into the house.
She explained: “I wasn’t looking for anything when I was in there. I didn’t fancy any of the lads when I got in there at all. I didn’t look at any of them like that.
“But with me and Chad I think we only had each other to lean on and from becoming really good friends it just grew into feelings when we both got nominated and we both got saved. I think that’s when it sort of fell into more feelings.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Danniella Westbrook has been spotted kissing a holidaymaker in Benidorm.
The 43-year-old actress is currently engaged to Alan Thomason following a whirlwind romance, but she was seen locking lips with a 25-year-old holidaymaker called Reece in the Spanish seaside resort.
Recalling his kiss with Danniella, Reece said: “She likes a younger man, I told her I was 25, and I thought she was about 30, but she’s 43, that’s pretty much my mum’s age.
“Me and my mates were in Tiki Beach Bar having a session and she came in wearing a pair of Nike Air Max and was wobbling all over the place.
“My mate pointed out that Danniella Westbrook was over by the toilet so I went over and started chatting to her, and for a laugh said, ‘Give us a kiss.’
“The next thing I know she’s all over me, snogging the life out of me, and we stayed with her for about six hours on a drinking session.
“We kissed between 10 and 15 times, I had her sitting on my lap and everything.”
But Reece insisted he wasn’t aware Danniella is pregnant, or that she is engaged to Alan.
Speaking to The Sun Online, he explained: “I didn’t know she was pregnant and engaged, after it happened my mate sent me an article saying she was expecting twins, but I had no idea, she definitely didn’t act like that.”
Reece also claimed the duo didn’t even swap numbers and confessed to being drunk at the time of their kiss.
He said: “We didn’t swap numbers of anything like that, I was pretty steaming myself.
“I thought whether I should take her back to the room but my mates were like, ‘Nah, she’s rough!’
“We met her at about two o’clock and left her at eight, she wanted us to come back to the bar, but we didn’t bother, we went out somewhere else.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Louise Thompson wants to go on ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’.
The ‘Made in Chelsea’ star has no desire to follow her brother Sam into the ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ house because she’d be too “nervous” but she’d love to show off her “competitive” streak in the jungle or on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
She said: “My brother just came third on ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ but I don’t think I could ever do tht, I’d be too nervous.
“But ‘I’m a Celeb’ or ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ would be great fun – I’m very competitive.”
Louise has starred on ‘Made in Chelsea’ since 2011 and has no desire to leave, but she does confess to feeling anxious whenever a new cast member is brought into the show because she doesn’t want her relationship with Ryan Libbey to come under threat.
She said: “I don’t feel the need to leave ‘Made in Chelsea’ but I do worry about new people who come onto the show and whether or not they can be trusted.
“Love triangles can be very awkward.”
However, the 27-year-old beauty has come close to leaving before because of the amount of abuse she used to receive on social media.
She told LOOK magazine: “I went through a period of getting a lot of hate on social media and I think so much of that came from the discretion of the TV show and how it’s edited. I like to be in control of my life and I think that’s what led to a lot of unhappiness before, being so out of control and portrayed in a certain way.
“I could have quit the show when things were bad but I’ve come out the other side – these days I don’t get so much hate online.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Sebastian Stan doesn’t know if he will take over from Chris Evans as Captain America in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The 35-year-old actor starred as Bucky Barnes in all three of the ‘Captain America’ movies but his character joined the evil team HYDRA and was known as the Winter Solider in the last two movies.
However, in the comics Bucky takes on the identity of Captain America after Steve Rogers is presumed to be dead and in the MCU Evans – who has portrayed the hero in six movies – recently revealed after Phase 4, he will no longer play the part.
Although fans believe Stan will be taking over the role, the actor admitted he believes it is just “speculation” and has no idea.
Speaking at the Toronto International Film Festival, Stan said: “It’s just speculation. I honestly have no idea.
“I really don’t know what I would say to somebody that would ask me that question.”
Stan is set to reprise his role as the Winter Solider in the upcoming ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ where he will have to team up with the team of heroes to defeat the mad titan Thanos.
He also said ‘Infinity War’ is the “biggest culmination” of anything Marvel has done so far and he said it will be “crazier” than everything else that has come before.
He said: “It’s certainly the biggest culmination of anything and everything they’ve done so far. It’s just going to be bigger and crazier than anything.”
Stan also spilled that, much like his co-star Tom Holland who plays Spider-Man, he is only allowed to read the script for his character.
He said: “I only read what they gave me on the day. It’s usually only a day-to-day thing. I certainly don’t know what I have to do next.”

OHMYGOSSIP — J.J. Abrams is taking over as director and co-writer of ‘Star Wars: Episode IX’.
The 51-year-old filmmaker will return to the franchise after he helmed 2015’s acclaimed ‘The Force Awakens’, in the place of Colin Trevorrow who was let go due to “differing visions for the project”.
Lucasfilm head Kathleen Kennedy said in a statement on Starwars.com: “With ‘The Force Awakens’, J.J. delivered everything we could have possibly hoped for and I am so excited that he is coming back to close out this trilogy.”
Announcing Trevorrow’s departure recently, they said: “Lucasfilm and Colin Trevorrow have mutually chosen to part ways on ‘Star Wars: Episode IX’. Colin has been a wonderful collaborator throughout the development process but we have all come to the conclusion that our visions for the project differ. We wish Colin the best and will be sharing more information about the film soon.”
Meanwhile, Kathleen recently confirmed the late Carrie Fisher would not be appearing in sequel after her brother Todd Fisher hinted she could.
She said: “Sadly, Carrie will not be in nine. But we will see a lot of Carrie in eight.”
Previously, Disney had confirmed they would not be using CGI to create the likeness of the late star, but Todd had claimed that reusing old footage was a possibility.
He said: “Both of us were like, ‘Yes, how do you take her out of it?’ And the answer is you don’t. She’s as much a part of it as anything and I think her presence now is even more powerful than it was, like Obi Wan – when the saber cuts him down he becomes more powerful. I feel like that’s what’s happened with Carrie. I think the legacy should continue … To me, ‘Star Wars’ is the holy grail of storytelling and lore and you can’t mess with it.”
Whilst Disney and Lucasfilm said in a statement: “We want to assure our fans that Lucasfilm has no plans to digitally recreate Carrie Fisher’s performance as Princess or General Leia Organa. Carrie Fisher was, is, and always will be a part of the Lucasfilm family. She was our princess, our general, and more importantly, our friend. We are still hurting from her loss. We cherish her memory and legacy as Princess Leia, and will always strive to honour everything she gave to Star Wars.”
‘Star Wars: Episode IX’ is slated for release on May 24, 2019.
In the meantime, ‘The Last Jedi’, the second movie in the trilogy – which has been directed by Rian Johnson – will hit screens in December.

OHMYGOSSIP — Mike Myers is in talks to star in Queen biopic ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’.
The 54-year-old Canadian actor-and comedian is reportedly being eyed up for a role in the upcoming biopic, according to Deadline, but the character he will play has not been revealed.
If Myers accepts the role he will join an impressive cast including Rami Malek, who will play the late great frontman Freddie Mercury.
Myers’ breakthrough movie role was playing public access TV presenter Wayne Campbell in comedy ‘Wayne’s World’, and in one famous scene Wayne and his friends mime to Queen’s hit ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ whilst driving in a car.
Malek recently admitted he is very nervous about honouring the memory of Freddie – who died in 1991 at the age of 45 – and pleasing Queen’s millions of fans but is going to give the role his all.
He said: “I could have my Beyoncé moment. I’m running across the street where I look back and I see it’s that iconic crosswalk that the Beatles have the album cover for Abbey Road on and instantly I’m like, ‘What the hell is happening to me right now?’
“I run across there, meetings on the fourth floor and around the third floor I’m passing all these photos of The Rolling Stones, The Beatles and every band that you love. Suddenly, Freddie Mercury’s face just kind of staring at me, telling me, ‘Don’t do this.’ ”
The impressive cast includes Allen Leech, who starred in ‘Downtown Abbey’, who has been cast as Freddie’s personal manager Paul Prenter in the Bryan Singer-directed motion picture.
Prenter was employed by the singer from 1977 to 1986 but was later sacked by Freddie for supplying stories to the media about his wild lifestyle.
Ben Hardy, Joe Mazzello and Gwilym Lee have also joined the cast in recent weeks.
‘X-Men: Apocalypse’ star Hardy will play drummer Roger Taylor, Mazello is in line to star as bassist John Deacon and Lee will portray lead guitarist Brian May.
‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ will chart the rock band’s story up to their appearance at the Live Aid charity concert in 1985.
Singer will produce the project alongside Graham King and Jim Beach, and Justin Haythe has written the script.
Production on the movie is expected to begin soon, and the film is due for release on Christmas Day 2018 (25.12.18) in the US.
Denis O’Sullivan, Arnon Milchan and Jane Rosenthal will executive produce the motion picture.
The film is slated to be released on December 28 next year.

OHMYGOSSIP — Patty Jenkins has reportedly agreed a deal to direct the ‘Wonder Woman’ sequel.
The 46-year-old filmmaker helmed the hit movie – which stars actress Gal Gadot – earlier this year and following months of negotiations, Patty has now committed herself to the ‘Wonder Woman’ follow up.
Patty is set to earn around $8 million to write, direct and produce the much-anticipated film, which will make her the highest paid female director of all time.
She will also earn a percentage of the box office sales, according to Variety.
Rumours of Patty’s return to the franchise come shortly after the director admitted to being shocked by the positive reaction to ‘Wonder Woman’.
The movie-maker revealed she was expecting a “mixed bag” from fans and critics, but the reaction to the superhero film has been overwhelmingly positive.
She explained: “I went into the release of the movie assuming it would be, in best case, a mixed bag.
“And I sort of braced myself for it, where I thought, well, ‘Listen, you’re doing a beloved superhero; it’s always going to end up being at least 40 percent, oh you could have done, blah blah blah.'”
Patty admitted, too, she’s been thrilled to see how ‘Wonder Woman’ has prompted debates about gender equality issues.
She shared: “The support and positivity that the movie has received, and also just the people wanting to talk about what we wanted to talk about in the movie and not other things, has been stunning.”

OHMYGOSSIP — Andres Muschietti wants Jessica Chastain to play an older Beverly in the ‘IT’ sequel.
The 44-year-old filmmaker helmed the new adaptation of Stephen King’s 1986 novel and Muschietti – who worked with Chastain in ‘Mama’ – wants to see her in the next film.
Speaking to Variety, the filmmaker said: “Jessi is an amazing actress and a very good friend and I would love her to play Beverly.
“She loves the movie and it feels like the planets are aligned in that sense, but we still have to make that happen.
“There are a lot of ideas for the rest of the cast that I’m playing with, but it’s a bit too premature to say those names right now.”
‘IT’ – which is now the highest grossing R-rated movie – follows a group of youngsters who are faced with their biggest fears when they square off against the evil clown Pennywise in Derry, Maine, after multiple children go missing.
The surviving kids mature into adulthood and are forced to revisit their horrors as one by one they encounter Pennywise again and a sequel has already been announced looking at the adults perspective.
In the same interview Muschietti confirmed that the sequel will be “going back to the summer of 1989” where the first film is set in order for the characters to find out how to kill Pennywise.
He said: “We are going back to the summer of 1989 and if people love these characters and actors the way I do, it’s going to be a blast to go back to 1989 in the second one.
“I don’t want to go back just for that, I want to make those flashbacks essential in the plot where in order for the Losers to figure out the clues to defeat Pennywise, they have to retrieve their memories from the past.”
